Giant Robots Vs Scale

I am well aware that scale does not exist in this franchise, and that my research was cursory at best, so take all of the following with a grain of salt.

So, the Dinobots. In terms of alt modes, we have:

Grimlock: Tyrannosaurus rex (40 feet long, 13 feet tall at the hips, 14 metric tons)

Snarl: Stegosaurus stenops (30 feet long, about 3 tons)

Slag: Triceratops horridus (26-30 feet long, 6.1-12.0 metric tons)

Sludge: Brontosaurus excelsus (72 feet long; 15 tons).

Swoop: Pteranadon longiceps (6 feet tall, 20-23 foot maximum wingspan, possibly around 35 pounds)

With the exception of Swoop, who's roughly human-sized in alt mode, discounting the wings, they're all pretty large, but not exceptionally so, especially compared to the alternate modes of most Decepticons. (Brawl, a Leopard A1 main battle tank, is 31 feet long; Vortex, a Kaman SH-2 Seasprite, is 44 feet long; the Seekers, who are all F-15 Eagles, are about 64 feet long, etc.)

This gave me the idea of scaling the Dinobots' alternate modes so that they're the same size proportionately to an Autobot car (usually around 13-15 feet tall) that the dinosaur off of which their alternate mode is based would be to a human. While this is absolutely not necessary for the fiction (especially since, as noted above, scale does not exist in this franchise), I thought it would be interesting to see the results. Assuming that we're measuring dinosaurs against a six-foot human male, this means that we're working with a size increase of (very roughly) X 2.5, which gives us the following results:

Grimlock: 100 feet long, 32.5 feet tall at the hips (note that Grimlock would probably be considerably taller at the head since he's an anatomically inaccurate Tyrannosaurus who stands upright), approximately 35 metric tons.

Snarl: 75 feet long, approximately 15 tons.

Slag: 65-75 feet long, approximately 15.25-30 metric tons.

Sludge: 180 feet long, 37.5 tons.

Swoop: 15 feet tall/long, 50 foot wingspan. He'd definitely be more than 87.5 pounds, since he's made of metal and doesn't need to be lightweight in order to fly like a real Pteranadon would, but that is what a 2.5 increase in weight would be compared to the original weight.

So if you want your Dinobots to be really big...there you go. (Well, except Swoop. Even X 2.5 his dimensions are only about equal to those of the Autobot cars...though he does have a longer wingspan than the F-16, the F-4, the Harrier II Jump Jet, and even the F-15).

Other useless (but funny) scale information:

Groove, the Honda Goldwing GL 1200 Police Motorcycle, is only about eight feet long. If we're nice to him and multiply his stats by 2.5 like we did with the Dinobots, that increases to 20 feet and actually makes him a bit larger than his generally 13-15 foot long car teammates. His weight would also increase from 875.5 pounds to 2,188.75 pounds. This would, however, make his motorcycle mode completely worthless as a disguise. (The Dinobots don't have this problem. Since they transform into metal versions of extinct animals, they're not fooling anyone regardless of how close they are to the size of the actual animals.)

Blades, his teammate, is a Bell UH-1V Iroquois Helicopter, and as such, is about 57 feet long and weights about 5,125 pounds (I'm presuming this is empty). If we decrease his size in the same way that we increased Groove's, this would make him 22.8 feet long and 2,050 pounds. He'd still be a little big, but he's scale much better with his teammates than he would at full size.

Streetwise is pretty simple. He's a Nissan 300ZX Turbo police car. He's 14.2 feet long and weighs in at 2,888-3,280 pounds, so pretty standard for a car.

First Aid is a Datsun Vanette C120 ambulance, and he's....surprisingly short. A Datsun Vanette C120 is only about 14 feet long. He's also about five and half feet wide, and weighs in at a surprisingly light 1,907-2,315 pounds. Have I been overestimating ambulance size this whole time, or is he just at tiny ambulance? Note that Ratchet and Ironhide are very similar in size to First Aid, as they are also Datsun Vanettes.

Hot Spot is a Mitsubishi Fuso Great Fire Engine, which was surprisingly difficult to find stats for. Based on the information I could find, he's nearly 25 feet long (24.93 feet) and weighs in at 16,931.5 pounds, making him the heaviest member of the team even if Blades is at full size. So, if we increase Groove's size by X 2 (X 2.5 seems a bit large) and decrease Blades by the same amount as we originally increased Groove, we'd actually have a kind-of sort-of reasonably scaled Protectobot team! As it stands, though, Groove and Blades are throwing everything off to a hilarious extent.

The Combaticons are a nightmarish mess. Since Swindle has become very strongly tied to a jeep alternate mode even though his original toy did not transform into a jeep, and his alternate mode animation model looks a LOT like Hound's, I'll be working off the assumption that Swindle is, in fact, a J59 Jeep, just like Hound. This would make him about 11.5 feet long and 2,665 pounds. This is small. If we multiply these stats by 2.5, this gets us 28.75 feet and 6,662.5 pounds. This would be a huge jeep, but he'd still be smaller (or at the very least, lighter) than all of his teammates.

Brawl is a Leopard A1 Main Battle Tank. (His animation model doesn't LOOK like one, but neither is it incredibly obviously something else, as is the case with Swindle.) Counting the fully extended turret, he's 9.54 meters, or 31.3 feet, long. (The main body of the tank is somewhere around 27 feet long.) He weighs in at 46.5 tons (that's 93,000 pounds!) However, as far as length is concerned, he scales reasonably well with a x2.5 Swindle.

Vortex is a Kaman SH-2 Seasprite helicopter. He's 38 feet, 4 inches long and weighs 7,040 pounds empty. This means he's about 7 feet longer than Brawl (including the turret), and about 10 feet longer than Swindle x2.5. Even at his absolute maximum weight capacity (13,300 pounds) he's still FAR lighter than the tank, however.

Onslaught is a headache, because, while he's obviously an anti-aircraft truck, neither his toy nor his animation model appear to be any particular type of anti-aircraft truck, making it really difficult to guess as to how large he might be.

A YouTube video posted by a user by the name of Nemesis Bloodryche suggests that he looks similar to the Russian BAZ-6909 10x10. It is 11,300 millimetres, or about 37 feet, long, and weighs 48,502 pounds (or about 24 tons). This would scale appropriately with Brawl and reasonably well with Vortex.

Blast Off is a space shuttle orbiter. (If he was the full space shuttle, he'd be even more massive than this!) He's 122 feet long, with a width of 58 feet and 7 inches and a wingspan of 78 feet. This means that he is wider than any of his teammates are long. He weighs in at a 53,930 pounds, which, while impressive, is somehow still less than Brawl (93,000 pounds). He's 3 times longer than Vortex and Onslaught, 4 times longer than Brawl sans turret and Swindle X 2.5, and almost 11 times longer than a properly-scaled J59 Jeep Swindle. Needless to say, he and Swindle are the main reason that Bruticus is such a mess, scale-wise. Believe it or not, though, Blast Off still isn't the worst in terms of scale. Also, if we kept Swindle's increased size and decreased Blast Off's size by the same factor, things would at least become slightly more reasonable, as this would give us a 48.8 foot long Blast Off, which, while still big, is not as ridiculously so.

Most of the Aerialbots, being fighter jets, are at least somewhat reasonably scaled. Slingshot, the Harrier II, is 46 feet long and 12,500 pound empty; Skydive, the F-16, is 49 feet, 5 inches long and 18,900 pounds empty; Fireflight, the F-4 Phantom II, is 63 feet long and 30,328 pounds empty; Air Raid, the F-15 is nearly 64 feet long and weighs 28,500 pounds empty. It's not perfect by a long shot, but it works if you squint, especially since Slingshot is usually depicted as smaller than the others. And then Silverbolt ruins everything. Silverbolt is a Concorde SST, 202 feet long and 173,504 pounds empty. He's longer and heavier than Blast Off, the space shuttle orbiter! Sure, the torso should logically be a bit larger than the combiner limbs, but this is just ridiculous. He's 3.2 times longer than Air Raid, his longest teammate, and 5.7 times heavier than Fireflight, his heaviest teammate! He's even 1.86 times heavier than the 46-ton tank and 1.65 times the length of the space shuttle orbiter! If we reduce his size by a factor of 2.5, Silverbolt would be 80.8 feet long and weigh 69,401.6, which, while not perfect, would be a lot more manageable than a full-sized Concorde SST.

The Stunticons have a similar problem. The four small cars actually scale even better than the Aerialbots. Drag Strip, the Tyrell P34, is 13.58 feet long and weighs 1,370 pounds. Breakdown, the Lamborghini Countach, is also 13.58 feet long, and weighs 2,978 pounds. Wildrider, the Ferrari 308 GTB, is 13.87 feet long and weighs 2,784 pounds. And Dead End, the Porsche 928, is 14.8 feet long and weighs between 1,450 and 1,620 pounds. They're not perfect, but they're all within less than three feet of one another! That's considerably better than the differences between the smaller Aerialbots, and MUCH better than the scale difference between, say, Blades and Groove. But then there's Motormaster. He is a truck and trailer. The "truck" part is the Kenworth K100 Aerodyne sleeper truck, which is about 20 feet long. The problems come in with the "trailer" part. A box trailer is about 48 feet long, and, since Motormaster's robot mode is composed of both truck and trailer, this makes him around 68 feet long, with a rough weight estimate of somewhere between 10,000 and 25,000 pounds. While he's not as huge as Silverbolt, he is just as large, if not larger, compared to his largest teammates, being 4.6 times longer than Dead End and 3.35-8.37 times heavier than Breakdown. Again, thanks to the YouTube video mentioned above for the length of the trailer. That being said, if we did what we did with Blades and Silverbolt and reduced his size by a factor of 2.5, Motormaster would be 27.2 feet long and between 4,000 and 10,000 pounds, and things would actually scale rather well. (This would also help to mitigate the scale discrepancy between Motormaster and Optimus Prime.)

Astrotrain, like Blast Off, is a space shuttle orbiter, 122 feet long and 53,930 pounds. However, unlike Blast Off, he is also a train: the JNR Class D51, which is 64 feet long. (There is a weight listed for the train, 76.8 tons, but I'm not sure if this weight refers only to the engine. Astrotrain's body is composed only of the engine, not the entire train.) This means that, when transforming from a train into a space shuttle, Astrotrain almost doubles in length!

Broadside transforms into some sort of fighter jet (neither the G1 toy nor the animation model resemble any known jet enough to tell for sure). For the sake of argument, we'll say he's an F-15. The F-15 is almost 64 feet long. His other alternate mode is an aircraft carrier. A Nimitz class aircraft carrier is 1,092 feet long. Broadside's aircraft carrier alternate mode would be 16 times longer than his airplane mode! Even Silverbolt, who is massive, would be 5.4 times shorter than Broadside's aircraft carrier mode! As insane as Astrotrain's doubling in length is, Broadside increasing his size by a factor of 16 is much, much more so.

Metroplex transforms into....a city? (Okay, so he really looks like he transforms into a fort, but it's more fun to imagine the scale of a true city-sized robot.) The largest city by land mass in the US, Oklahoma City, is 621 miles squared. While square miles can't really be used to measure distance, it is very, very roughly 16-ish miles in diameter. If Metroplex is the size of Oklahoma City (unlikely), this would make him around 84,480 feet tall. Mt. Everest is 29,032 feet tall. Metroplex would be nearly 3 times the height of Mt. Everest!

When it comes to determining Unicron's scale, the answer depends on whether we go with the roughly moon-sized Cybertron seen in the cartoon or the apparently Saturn-sized Cybertron of the comics. Please note that these estimates are VERY rough. The diameter of the Moon is 2,158.8 miles. If we assume, as seems probable, that Unicron at least doubles in length when he transforms, this would make him at least 4,317.6 miles tall. That's 22,796,928 feet tall! His gravitational force would be about 1.6 meters per second squared, and would have a mass of 7.342×10 to the 22nd power kg. (Mathematical expressions don't seem to work properly on this site.) If Unicron is instead the size of Saturn, he would have a diameter of 72,376 miles. If we double this, we get 144,752 miles tall or 373,460,160 feet! He would have a mass of at least 5.683 X 10 to the 26th power kilograms, and a gravitational force of at least 10.44 meters/second squared. I'm also pretty sure that it would be next to impossible to get a solid planet at this size. Saturn, unlike Unicron, is made of gas, enabling it to be much larger than a metal planet could logically grow.

Imagine this: It’s 100 thousand years ago. There are dwarves, trolls, goblins, imps, giants, a couple kinds of elves, the First People (those that came before us all) something that might later be called seraphim, and many strange monsters. 

I’ma talk about monsters in a minute. Let’s talk about those other things, the like, fantasy races. Now, I don’t have time for every one of these, so I’m going to cover one I have the most information on. Dwarves

A sister species of humanity that is short, broad, bearded, some with red hair, lives in caves in the hills and mountains, are superb crafters, making instruments, wearing intricate leather outfits and known for creating large expertly made axes and hammers. Dwarves, right?

Or did I just describe Neanderthal

See, the earliest stories of dwarves from Scandinavia are confusing, because sometimes they talk about them being small or short, but sometimes talk about them being enormous. And that’s actually perfectly explained by Neanderthal

Check it out. Neanderthal, while noticeably shorter on average, were BUILT big. Look, it’s not just the cranial capacity, the eye sockets are larger, the nasal cavity is larger, the mandible is thicker, the teeth are larger, the bone around the ear and eye is  thicker. Looking at these skulls you would assume the person on the left was far bigger than the person on the right, and you would be correct, in every way except height.

So when the earliest stories of dwarves sometimes talk about them being short, and sometimes being massive, this situation matches. Neanderthal were THIC. But they averaged about five foot four at a time when humans in the north were passing 5 foot nine

That’s only averages tho, so sometimes it would be like a 5.1 Neanderthal and a 6.1 Sapiens, but sometimes it would be like, a 5.6 inch Neanderthal and a 5.3 inch Sapiens. Which makes the early myths make even more sense:

me, a 5.5 neolithic farmer, whose community of farmers trend toward the short side, having met my first Neanderthal, a 5.8 man built like a bear twice my weight and three inches taller than me “the Dwarves are massive! giant! huge!”

you, a tall hunter from a community of hunters who tend taller than average, who runs into Neanderthal several times a year and knows they are usually nearly a foot shorter than you are “you mean the little people?”

I’m pretty sure that humans were actually the elves that came in both dark and light varieties in these Scandinavian myths, but that’s a whole topic involving the way that invaders often adopt stories of the people they invade. But there are other species, not just Neanderthal and Sapiens and Denisovans, there was also at LEAST one other sister species we’ve found genetic proof of within our own genome. And who knows what relatives of ours were living only on the exposed continental shelves of the last 100 thousand year ice age? So there are a lot of options for elf.

ANYWAY

I like to think of all these sister species of humanity as being these fantasy races. I know I mentioned goblins and imps, and all I have to say is if you’ve ever seen videos of people dealing with baboons or macaques in some town somewhere, you can appreciate what a population of humans who were much closer to wild themselves might think of similar species.

NOW. Monsters.

Not only are there many strange animals to pick from, but I use a fun thought process to include almost anything I want.

See, when you say a creature lived from X time to Y time, it’s because we have some bones from X year, and we have some bones from the same creature dated to Y year. That’s great for describing what we know for sure.

But for what MIGHT have been, for what’s possible, you can extend the range

It’s pretty safe to assume we didn’t get a fossil of literally the last of them to live. So if I want to think about how a mythical creature sounds just like a real creature, but that real creature was from a time half a million years previous to the culture, well, that could still be a match.

Consider the Siberian Unicorn also known as Elasmotherium sibericum a species of rhino. We thought they went extinct 200 thousand years ago, which would have made them unavailable for the time period we’re talking about. So if something interesting could be explained by a population of Neanderthal or Homo Erectus living outside the age range of the bones we have, that is entirely possible. Depending on how far outside, it even becomes LIKELY, because, again, we’re never going to get the LAST one that lived as a fossil, fossilization is so rare.

So you might walk into the valley and be fine, but it gets a little cooler, or you walk down hill for a bit, and boom, carbon monoxide poisoning. It can take only a couple minutes to kill you.

Or! Imagine you are a human from 40 thousand years ago. You find a grave, you dig it up, somebody was buried with something like a wooden axe or sword (these things exist, it’s all about the density of the wood, the wedge shape, and the weight -- a heavy wooden sword can definitely decapitate a person, and we’re taking about a time when metal was rare or non existent). But THIS wooden weapon, while clearly wood, also sparkles like a gem in the light, is hard as stone, doesn’t burn if put in the fire... THAT’S a MAGIC WEAPON.

Now as Kamel mentioned blanket octopus females are around 2 meters or 6 feet long, hense osgood would be 6 feet or 2 m long from head to tentacle. Unless she's unraveling her full webbing which adds an extra 1'6" or 0.45 m to her length. Longer than her human form by quite a bit but still pretty human sized.

Now kate on the other hand...

I'm having osgate thoughts related to my mermaid au... so here's some hcs :)

So to recap, kate is an orca and osgood is a blanket octopus

Blanket octopus are pretty solitary creatures who prefer to live alone. Orcas meanwhile have complex social systems and always travel in groups.

This fits them both imo since osgood strikes me as an introvert and Kate feels like at the very least an ambivert who is fine with interacting with people a lot.

In this universe people are able to shape shift to and from their merfolk and human forms, with people being able to chose if they spend most of their life underwater or on land

I think UNITs main HQ would be underwater since it's easier to hide things from extraterrestrials (the deep water would help cover any radio signals and make it difficult to view anything from above) and I think it'd just be cool for a secret government base

Osgood would be kinda shy about her mer form because of how impressively colorful it is so she'd wear a long lab coat to try and conceal it somewhat

Oh she's iridescent by the way, dunno if I got that across in the art but she is ;)

Osgood can see more colors than others and she has exceptional night vision (since blanket octopus live in pretty deep drak waters)

She can also change colors entirely cus octopus are just built different like that

Despite being able to change color she still hides in her lab coat lol

Now kate on the other hand adores osgoods colors

She likes surprising osgood when they're alone by swimming up under her webbing and then popping her head out under her

It makes osgoods whole body turn cherry red and Kate LOVES it

Osgoods webbing would actually make her super physically attractive in this world, like supermodel level gorgeous

But osgood being a shy lil bean she tries to hide it of course, even trying to camouflage into her surroundings to avoid attention

Kate loves going for long swims and often takes osgood with her

Because osgood isn't very fast though, kate will simply hold her while she swims willy nilly

Near Bryant Park, Manhattan (No. 3)

In 1983, in an attempt to draw crowds to the park and raise money for continued maintenance, the BPRC proposed leasing Bryant Park from the city, renovating it, and building a cafe in the park. The $18 million renovation was to be executed by an alliance between the BPRC, NYPL, and NYC Parks. The restaurateur Warner LeRoy was to operate the eatery, and he planned to build an 80-foot-tall (24 m), 10,500-square-foot (980 m2) glass cafe on the park's east side adjacent to the library. In addition, the park would include four smaller food kiosks, a reflecting pool and water fountain, and a dedicated security team. In 1984, the state passed legislation to allow the BPRC to lease space for such an eatery. The City Planning Commission also approved the structure the following year. However, the proposed cafe was met with opposition from the public, as it would obscure the library's rear facade. Several park advocates who opposed the cafe argued that the proposed eatery would turn over part of a public park to a private entity. LeRoy withdrew from the project in 1986 due to this opposition, saying that he feared that the constant reviews of the plan would bring the proposed structure to "mediocrity".

The renovation was approved by the City Art Commission in January 1987, though the restaurant plan had not yet been approved. Following LeRoy's withdrawal from the proposed Bryant Park cafe, the BPRC created a new plan with multiple smaller restaurant spaces. The spaces would be composed of two smaller pavilions, each 20 feet (6.1 m) tall with an area of 5,250 square feet (488 m2), flanking the Bryant memorial next to the library. In September 1987 the plans went to another vote before the City Art Commission, with the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission taking an advisory role. The redesigned restaurant spaces were also approved by the City Art Commission that December, though the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission registered no official position on the matter. A concessionaire for one of the spaces was found in 1988,and the same year, the city turned over duties of Bryant Park's land to BPRC. Subsequently, the park redesign was drafted by Hanna/Olin Ltd. and Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates; the design preserved many elements of Simpson's design in the 1930s.

The park was closed for renovations on July 11, 1988. The four-year project to rebuild Bryant Park entailed new entrances, repairs to paths and lighting, as well as a redesign of the park's garden by Lynden Miller. Biederman worked with William H. Whyte, a sociologist whose influence led them to implement two decisions. One was the placement of 2,000 movable chairs in the park. The other was to lower the park itself, because Bryant Park had been elevated from the street and isolated by tall hedges prior to the 1988 redesign.The 1988 renovation lowered the park to nearly street level and tore out the hedges, though much of the park was still slightly elevated. The renovation took place at the same time as the NYPL's expansion of the Main Branch's stacks underneath Bryant Park. The project was originally estimated to cost $21.6 million and was to be the largest expansion project in the Main Branch's history; it entailed building 84 miles (135 km) of stacks, which could hold 3.2 million books. Construction on the stacks started after the park was closed. The park was excavated and the Great Lawn was rebuilt above it. Once the underground facilities were completed, Bryant Park was completely rebuilt, with 2.5 to 6 feet (0.76 to 1.83 m) of earth between the park surface and the storage facility's ceiling.

 What do we do in Zone of Truth 5e?

You create a magical zone that protects against deception in a 15-foot-radius arena based on the point of your choice within the range. Until the spell ends, a monster that enters the spell's place for the first time on the reverse or begins its turn there should make a Charisma rescue throw. On a failed save, a creature can not speak a willful lie whilst in the radius. You know whether every monster succeeds or fails its saving throw. An affected creature is aware of this charm and may consequently prevent answering questions to which it might ordinarily react with a lie.  Zone of Truth 5e is a pesky small 2nd-degree spell that can ruin a campaign's mystery. But there are a number of ways you can avoid Zone of Truth and keep your campaign's mystery alive!

 To avoid the impacts of Zone of Truth 5e, then you need to be successful on your Charisma Saving Throw, possess an ally that possesses the spell Switch memory, or manage your answers in a manner that omits the facts without being deceitful.

 However, this spell gets stronger if it's cast at higher levels. The Length of the memory which can be altered expands as follows:

 1. Level 6- 7 occasions

2. Level 7- 30 times

3. Level 9- Any point in the creature's past

For those who have an NPC that knows a great deal, you may have the boss or Villain conceal out of the shadows and throw Modify Memory to avoid the party from studying his/her crucial identity or strategy. The monster questioned would consider telling the truth, thus subverting Zone of Truth 5e.

 Spells

These two choices assume that the party has not done something to keep the casting of spells, such as tie the NPC's palms or take all his/her things or secured the area, making it impossible for one more personality to get within 30 feet. If the NPC has been contested or another NPC in the region can't cast a spell to save cries, alter his memory, or escape (Dimension Door or Teleport). You've got no choice but to skip the truth.

 That's where the issue gets dicey. Although Zone of Truth does specifically say animals could" preventing" telling the facts, it also says it shields against" uncertainty" If you would like to try to speak your way out of Zone of Truth, you need to follow these tips to prevent your players from feeling conned.

 Zone of Truth specifically says it protects against disturbance. As a consequence, you can prevent the question, but you can not knowingly try to fool your players. This is an excellent line. When asked, "Would you split the window?" You cannot reply, "No," because the crowbar broke the window, this can be an attempt at deception.

 It would be best if you avoided the question completely, such as stating, "Why would I divide a window?" That does not supply an answer to the query but could throw off your players enough to protect against the issue entirely. If you try to use semantic, it can do nothing but frustrate your own players.

 The spell says a monster"may be evasive in its replies as long as it stays within the bounds of the reality."

It usually means you could make evasive statements as long a the announcements themselves are accurate. That will not fall in the realm of semantics since you are not twisting the question to assist your self. You're merely making a fair statement. A superb illustration of this could be an NPC saying, "My master plans only to do great!"

 If the NPC knows his master considers himself to be about the generous right side, then this is a true statement that is not an attempt at deceit. If you can do this well, your players may (hopefully) misconstrue what you are saying.

 The players can threaten or bribe your NPC, where you should play the NPC authentic to their own character. In the event your players request a question you can't evade, don't reply.

 The Zone of truth 5e can be tricky to navigate. You definitely don't need players to feel cheated in any way, but you also don't wish to give up all of your secrets straight away. This advice and guidelines should help you keep the mystery alive while also keeping everything fair.

 Is the caster influenced by Zone of Truth 5e?

Zone of Truth is a place of affect charm. It means that anyone inside the area is affected by the spell, including the caster. On the other hand, the caster can opt to create a saving throw against the spell, and the spell may be cast anywhere within 60 feet, so the caster could choose to be just outside the spell's range.

 A Ring of Mind Shielding does not stop the Zone of Truth's influence if the monster collapsed the Charisma Saving Twist; nonetheless, it does prevent the caster from knowing if the creature stored or failed the spell's saving throw.

 Zone of Truth is an enchantment spell that prevents lies where nobody can speak within the field of effect.

 For a few moments, an area characterized by the caster turned into a zone in which lies couldn't be advised. Creatures within the region knew they were compelled not to speak falsehoods and withstand the bout, but people who could not resist could not lie to the spell duration. Affected creatures were not made, to tell the truth; they could stay silent or evade queries provided that they had been truthful.

 What are the Gamers saying about Zone of Truth 5e?

"We started a new effort, and after their first semester, my players are attempting to learn more about the mystery of a stolen auction thing. My team is comprised of experienced, intelligent, genre-savvy gamers, and everybody has some DM expertise. B-)

 One of the players gets access to the Zone of reality spell. He has the authority/permission to use that spell on several suspects. But, it limits questions of attention to the analysis ). I believed I had the mystery nicely designed so that Zone of fact wouldn't split it, but I have more time to reflect on my players' skill level, I might want to think this through more.

 In the past, when I have run a puzzle for other experienced gamers, I was able to use evasive answers and counter-questioning to trip them up with a zone of details. I managed to confound one experienced player during his very first casting of the Zone of fact (the questioned killer had given the recognizable of a spellcaster poison to sprinkle in the drinks of the murdered, claiming it had been tea).

 Those tricks worked due to a lack of experience either generally or utilizing the spell. Nonetheless, these gamers have a good experience.

 Have you successfully operate a puzzle for seasoned genre-savvy players? How can you manage smart questioning via a zone of truth 5e?"

"Partially is dependent on how violent they are, however, one good strategy would be to overshare. It might give far too much information, such as authentic but insignificant products. The players may then need to collect an investigation to notice patterns and identify which items from 20 are important.

 Basically, yammer. The replies are accurate but need an investigation from the gamers.

 A third option is an ownership. The party begins questioning the defendant, and the BBEG assumes direct control. Maybe the defendant stocks one or two critical clues ahead of the BBEG kills them.

 Then, you can reach the fourth option. The suspect has a magic thing that registers everything to get a lie. The truth. Even sense motive. It is all comes up as lies. "

 One approach in Zone of truth 5e -- place yourself in the perspective of the Villain and consider what they know. Then use that information to formulate a plan -- and when the PCs can quickly circumnavigate it, let them. They are heroes.

 If this really is a situation where you want them to fail/struggle, the very best choices would be to:

 2.) Make sure that the person being interrogated is not very likely to lie. If they have been deceived by somebody else, they may be saying it is untrue without comprehending it, which will not activate detection. The Glibness spell is the 8th level, but somebody who should tell a lie might rely upon it. I don't understand why it is 8th degree -- sounds somewhat like a 4th level spell for me.  Maybe this can be semantics, but I sure don't think of it trying to work contrary to my gamers. Instead, I'm searching for answers which have worked in your games that say"yes, and" or"yes, but" to the Zone of truth spell while still allowing the (highly experienced ) gamers to take delight in the investigation process. I consider it more like playing to their level.

 For comparison, think about: A player picks the ranger course simply because they want the thrill of exploration. On the other hand, the Natural Explorer feature can detract from mining by trivializing it -- or instead, it necessitates some creative thought, adaptation, and workarounds to encourage an exploration heavy session or game. To put it differently, Organic Explorer functions, but it does not" feel" right since it avoids the challenge rather than engaging with it.

 Likewise: A player who picks the Observant feat along with the zone of fact spell suggests they want the thrill of analysis, the triumph of solving a mystery through the forces of deductive reasoning. They don't require an easy success over 10 minutes with no true investigation prior to casting a spell. At least, that is true with my own group.

 Not at all! The zone of truth won't allow you to lie, but it leaves lots of room for evasion, misdirection, and distraction. Finding ways to lie while still telling the truth is that the national game of Zilargo. pic.

Hello there! It’s been awhile. I’ve been caught up with reading books lately and of course living my non-existent melodramatic life. I’ve realized that I’m still living in the past and I’ve relied my happiness to one person. Take note, relied has the word lie in it. I’m exhausted. And I’ll be putting an end to it. No more lovesongs for you. By the way that’s a song by Lacrosse. Make sure to listen to it. 

In the midst of my selfish fantasy on bringing back the past, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit Pampanga last Monday, April 22nd of 2019. I was about to write immediately but I was pretty shaken.

I just came home from work at the time. Overtime na naman. Thank you na naman. Hayst. I sat like a boss with my feet on the coffee table and started replying to Bruce's, gonna talk about him soon, messages.

While doing so, the ground began to vibrate. Earthquake. It wasn't the pasway-sway type of earthquake, it was a trembling kind. Imagine boiling water about to escape into steam. Now, imagine rocks instead of water. Hot rocks wanting to emerge from deep beneath but cannot breakthrough.

At first, I was indifferent about it. I ignored it because I believe it wouldn't be that bad. I was wrong. I can still picture the tremulous movement of the floor, the foundation of our house. Wine glasses clinked, people screamed, vases and plaques fell over..

If there's anything I learned from school, that is the annual Fire and Earthquake drill. Yep, we were taught about Duck, Cover, Evacute and all that crap. The problem is we don't take it seriously, atleast, I don't take it well. I'm more of a gossip-with-classmate-while-evacuating and yes-free-period-no-surprise-quiz-due-to-the-drill kind of student. I would laugh about these drills. I had always believed that Pampanga is indestructible. Sounds ironic given the annual flash floods and the Pinatubo memory lane.

It turned out I was wrong. Oh well dun naman ako magaling eh, ang magkamali.. I kept on cringing on films showing earthquakes scenario, the panic and overreaction of the actors/actresses while trying to stay alive during the catastrophe. I thought it was just an exaggeration. Well I should really stop thinking. My thoughts are really questionable at this moment.

We were taught not to panic and calmly exit the building and evacuate in open spaces. I remembered the movie 2012 at that moment and I quote “When they tell you not to panic... that's when you run!”. And that’s exactly what I did. I ran. All those years of educating me about earthquake gone to waste. Of course I panicked duh. I was already outside when I thought of my dad’s huge plasma screen TV. I hurried back and supported it, preventing it to fall into ruin. Di pa man tapos bayaran tapos sisirain lang ng lindol. Dad will be proud. 

The earthquake was followed by power and water interruption until midnight. I have work the next day at exactly 6 am. But hey does it even matter? I just realized that I was devastated. I kept thinking about the end of the world, irrational, I know, stop judging you fuck. I went to church the day before it happened, Easter Sunday. And somehow I associated the coming back of Jesus Christ to this earthquake. Now, I sound stupid. Mrs. Barredo, Gen. Sci highschool teacher, will be disappointed. What's new? I'm used to being a disappointment. Naks drama naman.

Here’s a list of things I’ve learned from the recent disaster: 

1. It is inevitable to panic, but still, try to fucking calm down so further accidents, such as slipping (ahem to me), will be avoided. Stop thinking about the end of the world and get the hell out. Ironic.

2. Focus and know your priorities. If you have to choose between your 62′’ in smart television or your life, choose your life. Or else you’re gonna get some scolding from your parents for trying to protect their new luxurious television na buwan buwan pang hinuhulugan.

3. Be observant. After the disaster, my knees were weak from shock. Then my neighbor asked me if everything was fine and he told me to checked the house and surroundings for cracks and ruptures. I admired how he observed around. Nakaka-kilig haha! Btw, he’s an engineer (civil, if you’re curious), and we’re civil to each other. Hihihi pota, no malice. Don’t observe handsome brilliant engineers in muscle tees, but observe the effects of the disaster instead.

4. After a disaster, power and water interruption will follow. Have you seen those Day after Tomorrow, 2012, zombie apocalypse movies? Resources are usually depleted. The renovation was approved by the City Art Commission in January 1987, though the restaurant plan had not yet been approved. Following LeRoy's withdrawal from the proposed Bryant Park cafe, the BPRC created a new plan with multiple smaller restaurant spaces. The spaces would be composed of two smaller 187-seat pavilions, each 20 feet (6.1 m) tall with an area of 5,250 square feet (488 m2), flanking the Bryant memorial next to the library. In doubles, the service court is also marked by a long service line, which is 0.76 meters (2 ft 6 inch) from the back boundary. The net is 1.55 meters (5 ft 1 inch) high at the edges and 1.524 meters (5 ft) high in the center. The net posts are placed over the doubles sidelines, even when singles are played. There is no mention in the Laws of Badminton of a minimum height for the ceiling above the court. Grip

This is a way of holding the racket to hit shots during a match. The most commonly used grip is the orthodox forehand grip. In the game, both players used this to attack and defend at the same time.

Technical and Tactical Skills

Philippines: Like all other athletes, the player representing the Philippines also used all the necessary skills.  However, the player tends to over his strength, which leads him to make his shot out of the court. His accuracy was also not so good since there are times that he had a mistake. His stance and footwork were sometimes broken since when he was about to receive, he was occasionally brought down on his knees and was unsuccessfully receive the shuttlecock. I can say the player still need in practice, but despite all the negative things that I have pointed out, there are still positive that the player has played in the game. Even though he still had a big gap with the other team, he did not give up and still played the game well. He used all his tactics and techniques to play against Thailand, and at the same time, he continues to see and learn how the other player will move and play.

Thailand: The player representing Thailand indeed rules the game. All the essential skills that he had used were accurate and sufficient against the other player. Despite the Philippines' defense and offense, he was able to concur with them and fight back. He also learns how the other player will move and attack, which was a good move. Moreover, Thailand's attacks were powerful, which makes the other player a hard time, and this cause Thailand to gain a lot of points. The two sets that they played showed how Thailand win against the Philippines.

Rules of the Game

General Rules

A player must wait until his opponent is ready before serving. If the opponent attempts a return then he is ruled having been ready.

The feet of both players must remain in a stationary position until the serve is made. Your feet can not be touching the line at this time.

Officiating the Game

Badminton officials play a crucial role in badminton matches. Even though they are not as vital as they can be in other sports such as football or basketball due to the lack of physical contact between players, they still are required to ensure a smooth and fair match. The badminton officials are divided into different roles or positions:

Referees

This official is the most important official of the whole tournament. He or she is in charge of the competition. He or she needs to ensure that the tournament is conducted following the Laws of Badminton (including court, rackets and shuttlecock measurements), the Badminton World Federation regulations and/or any other regulations that might be relevant in that specific competition.

Also, the referee has the last word if there is an argument between the umpire (in charge of the matches) and a player or team. Moreover, the referee makes sure that the facilities and the conditions to play are up to the standards required for that specific tournament. For example, he has to check that the badminton mats are mounted correctly to enhance gameplay. Finally, the referee is also in charge of approving the schedule of matches and practice (if applicable).

Umpire

Due to the fast speed of the game and the players' skill, this is a very challenging job, and, as a result, the line judges are the officials that usually get more pressure from the players.

In recent years, an Instant Review System has been implemented to ensure that the right decision is taken, but which also adds pressure to the line judges as it clearly shows when a mistake has taken place. Each player has two incorrect calls per game of the match.

Depending on the tournament level, there may be as many as 10 line judges assigned to a court for a particular match. This is the number recommended by the BWF (Badminton World Federation).

When 10 line judges are available, they are positioned as follows:

2 line judges for the short service line (one on each side of the court)

2 line judges for the center line (one on each end of the court)

4 line judges for the side lines (two on each side of the court). Please note that the exact location will depend on whether a singles match is being played (and they would follow the singles side lines) or a doubles match is being played (and they would follow the doubles side lines

2 line judges for the back boundary lines (one each end of the court). Please note that, in the case of the doubles match, these line judges check both the back boundary line and the long service line.

Officiating Hand Signals

Undue Delay of Service

When undue delays occur the service judge will swing their right arm to the left to indicate that a player has been penalized for undue delay.

Feet on the Service Line or off the Ground

When the aforementioned breaches occur the service judge will stretch out their right leg and signal a fault with their right hand because a player’s feet were off the ground or they were on the boundary line.

Server Fails to Hit the Bottom of the Shuttlecock

The line judge will open their right hand and lightly touch the palm with their left hand to indicate a service fault.

Service Too High

If the racket is too high when the serve is made, the service judge will place their right hand horizontally across their ribs.

Racket Handle Should Face Up

All in all, the game was fun and entertaining. Both players did well and showed what they got. The two used all the necessary skills, techniques and tactics to win the game. However, there is always a winner in a game, and Thailand really shows how dominant the player is in playing against the Philippines. It shows a vast gap between the scores, consisting of sets 1 and 2 having the same score of 21- 11. Therefore, this ends the game in favor of Thailand.

Portable power stations help us in times of need. Whether dealing with an emergency, camping, or venturing into the outdoors—they provide power on demand.

The iForway PS500N offers the power you need in those settings while also livening them with a wireless speaker. The question is whether this solar power generator works best for your home, or if it can tackle the outside world with equal measure.

iForway PS500N Design

When first handling the iForway PS500N, you'll notice there's some heft to the elongated power bank. It weighs just over 13 pounds, but it distributes this weight effectively across its width of 11.4 inches, the height of 6.1 inches, and its depth of 7.4 inches.

Thanks to the sliding metal handle, it's easy to shift the weight distribution. However, this handle is more about functionality than comfort, so you won't want to carry it around needlessly. Just keep that in mind before making any large journeys into the wilderness with the power station.

Is It Rugged Enough?

When looking at a power bank for the outdoors, a primary consideration is its ruggedization. While this charger does feature some rubbering on its feet, it's nonexistent otherwise. Since there's no rubbering on the sides, you need to especially be careful of any side impacts to the metal casing.

While you wouldn't want to be rough with a lithium-ion battery in general, it's a consideration to keep in mind while transporting it. Otherwise, its rubbered feet keep it elevated off the ground, so it rests securely in outdoor settings. The device also doesn't have an IP waterproof rating, so you'll want to keep it dry.

Powering On, LED Visuals, and Patterns

Rather than utilize an LCD, the iForway alerts you of power status via bright LED lights. When turning on the device, long-press the power button until its green LED light comes on. Keep in mind there's no auto-shutoff, so you'll need to deactivate the battery in the same way to prevent drainage.

When first turning on the device, you'll briefly see your current charge level via the four-barred LED battery. Each notch represents a roughly 25% charge, so it's easy to note when it dropped to a particular charge level.

To see your current charge after the initial powering on, you can also press the power button to display its charge state once more. While this suffices for most cases, those concerned with exact numbers may wish to consider the iForway PS500P for its LCD instead.

Offering Balance Between USB Port Types

When it comes to USB ports, the iForway PS500N strikes a fine balance of standard and faster-charging ports. From left to right, there's one power delivery 60W USB-C PD socket, one quick-charge USB-A QC 3.0, and two standard USB-A sockets running at 5V/2.4A.

As a metric, iForway notes it can provide your phone with 45 charges, your camera with 75 charges, and tablets with 12 charges. During testing, I did try charging all three device types at once without making any real dent in the battery life. Suffice it to say, the battery capacity of 462Wh has more than enough power for multiple charges in a pinch.

Bluetooth Speaker for Home and Camping

Beneath its USB ports, the iForway PS500N has its own 10W wireless speaker. As a non-standard addition, you might worry there's a quality trade-off. However, it produced quality sound without any noticeable distortion when cranking up the volume.

The other common concern with wireless speakers is their Bluetooth connection. While pairing it across different devices, there weren't any detection issues. When moving the speaker away from the paired device to other rooms, the connection stayed.

To pair via Bluetooth, hold the play-pause button for two seconds to turn on the speaker. After alerting you with a power-up noise, you'll see a blue LED light.

Once it's ready to pair, it'll begin blinking blue. You'll see PS-Speaker appear on your device, and you can connect as per normal.

For those wanting control at your fingertips, it offers that as well. If you click the minus button (-) it'll decrease volume, but it'll go to the previous song with a long press. In contrast, the plus button (+) will increase volume with a single click while going onto the next song with a long press.

While the play/pause button will disable/enable the speaker with a long press, it also serves as your primary playback button. For those not interested in music much, it also controls playback on streaming services such as Hulu.

So if you want to have an outdoor party, want to casually listen while charging, or want an additional method to alert others in case of an emergency—it's all possible here. If you want to plug in your headphones, there's also an AUX-IN located next to the controls as well.

A Powerful Light for Every Use

One of the all-around helpful features is the 5W LED light panel. After enabling it from the rightmost button with a long press, it offers four modes: half brightness, max brightness, SOS, and strobe. From any of the first three modes, you can hold the button for two seconds to turn it off; you can also press it once after strobe to turn off the light.

For what power it does consume, the LED light panel is bright enough to fill even the darkest of spaces. Whether you're in the woods or dealing with a blackout, its brightness can help you navigate the darkness or signal for help with the included SOS mode.

Charging the iForway PS500N Solar Power Generator

The iForway PS500N (or PowerElf 500) comes with a 462 watt-hours lithium-ion battery and a 500W pure sine wave inverter.

While this is plenty of power, you're still going to need to charge up. On the front, there's a  5mm DC input charging port. For the first charge-up option, you can use the included 19V wall adapter to charge it to full in around six to seven hours.

If you want to charge with a solar panel, there are a few considerations to keep in mind. iForway does offer its own solar panels (60W and 100W). However, this portable solar power generator supports up to 120W.

For testing, I used a 100W RockPals solar panel that was on hand. As a rough estimate, the 100W iForway solar panel is said to charge in 6-12 hours. The 100W RockPals panel charged up the device at the higher end of that range (around 9 hours) under variable sunlight.

Always remember that these values will fluctuate based on the amount of light you have and what panels you possess. The iForway PS500N is also sensitive to direct sunlight, so you'll need to place it behind the solar panels to protect it during charging.

As a final option, iForway does allow for charging via a car charger, but this is the slowest option of the three.

Plenty of Watt-Hours for Small Appliances With Added Safety

A common question is whether a solar power generator can power a home. While a unit this size can't power every device, it boosts considerable output.

So let’s talk about the AC outlets—these have a rated output power of 500W but can handle up to an 800W surge. In testing, I worked with the 110V version, but the iForway website provides a 230V version for UK residents.

While it's useful to know the running watts and surge watts of any device you're planning to use in advance, there is a built-in safety net. When you flip the switch to turn on the AC outlets, you'll also activate the safety switch. If you plug in a device it can’t handle (i.e. you plug in a 900W space heater versus a small ceramic heater), it’s going to cut off and shift from its normal green LED to a red LED light indicating a problem occurred.

This cut-off occurs before any damage can occur either to the battery or connected device, so you can learn without any lasting consequences.

DC Outputs and Whether You Need A Regulated 12V

On the back, there are three DC 9- 12.6V outputs with a share total of 10A. There's also a 9-12.6V cigarette lighter socket/car port plug. As you can tell by the variable voltage, this power output is unregulated.

If you're not intending to use the port, this won't impact you. For anyone else, why does this matter?

For some devices, like an outdoor-geared camping lantern, you may just see reduced performance such as dimmer lights. However, a more complex device may not turn on at all or turn off once it drops below the required voltage.

With that said, there are workarounds to this facet; it's easiest to consider if you really need a regulated 12V option for what you're using.

Can You Repair the iForway PSN500N?

During testing, the 12V car socket broke off, pushing into the case. Whether it was a manufacturing defect or it got damaged during transport wasn't clear.

In terms of repairability, batteries like these aren't meant to be disassembled by the user. I did try to see if there was anything I could do on my end; but in the end it wasn't fixable with any tools on hand.

Nothing else was compromised, and the rest of the iForway PS500N continued to work fine.

Portable Power and Entertainment Together

For those looking for a portable solar power station, the iForway PS500N is a good contender for its price bracket.

It doesn't possess every premium feature, but it does a great job at being user-friendly without being underpowered. If you're looking for a portable solar power generator for camping, its speakers and compact build make it a cozy addition for any trip.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 2020 will be named as iPhone 12 which is near about 9 months away from us and excitement among the leaker community is not getting stopped. iPhone 2020 will be a generation evolution of the iPhone as this smartphone will come with 5G configuration, and Apple introduced 4G in iPhone 4 which was released in 2011. iPhone 2020 Will Going To Have 5 Phones Model

It has been expected that Apple could launch 5 models of iPhone and one of them could be launch in Q1 of 2020, which is iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9. iPhone 9 will spec up version of iPhone 8, it will have the same form factor but will have some different internal specification. Apart from iPhone 9, Apple will launch 4 other versions of iPhone which includes iPhone 12 that is next iteration of iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Plus which is next to Apple lineup and include bigger screen size than iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro which is next iteration of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max which is next iteration of iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Naming

The flagship version of the iPhone will possibly be called iPhone 12 if Apple will follow the naming scheme. Last year Apple introduced iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which is the iteration of iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max respectively. So we could think about the similar naming scheme for iPhone 12 as iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max which will be an iteration of iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. 

Size Options

It has been expecting iPhone could feature 4 new size options as confirmed from leaks. As iPhone 9 could have a 4.7-inch display, iPhone 2020 could have a 5.4-inch display, iPhone 12 Plus may have a 6.1-inch display, iPhone 12 Pro may feature 5.8-inch and iPhone 12 Pro Max may have 6.7-inch. This newest iteration to iPhone 12 Pro Max makes it the biggest iPhone display ever made.

Design

Apple will have frosted glass design on the backside of all these iPhones. The leak is suggesting that Apple could follow the design pattern of the iPhone 4 will square edges rather than curved ones this will allow easier to hold iPhone. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the new iPhone will use a more complex segmentation design, and new trenching and injection molding procedure. 

Display

While some noticeable changes may happen in the display itself as 4 of these iPhone could feature OLED display while Pro model iPhone’s will have better Pro display which may include 120Hz ProMotion Display similar to recent generation iPad Pro’s display.

iPhone 2020 may adopt LTPO display the same as Apple Watch. LTPO or Low-Temperature polycrystalline oxide has an Oxide TFT structure that uses 15 percent less power, this technology made possible Apple Watches be always-on display, there are chances that Apple may introduce always one display in future iPhones.

A14 Chipset

A14 on iPhone 2020 may be made the device more powerful than before, Rumor suggests that TSMC will produce the world’s first 5nm mobile chipset which made the iPhone perform faster while consuming less battery. TSMC may start producing A14 Chipset in the second quarter of this year.

RAM on iPhone 2020 May around 6GB for Pro models and 4GB for the other two options. More RAM will make faster multitasking than ever and the user will enjoy the added feature of the iPhone like its powerful camera, FaceID and etc.

Cameras

This time Apple will surely introduce 3D Laser Camera on the rear side of the iPhone this will capture Time of Flight 3D images which will bring significant improvement to photography and Augmented Reality. The TOF sensor has a laser to calculate the distance from the reflected object, this helps the camera to accurately measure the distance and size of the Augmented objects.

Rumor is expecting that the TOF sensor could calculate around 15 feet which will be very amazing to see. As of now FaceID Sensor also uses the TOF sensor which could measure only about 15-20cm of distances.

Rumor suggests that high-end 6.7 and 6.1-inch iPhones will feature the triple-lens camera, while lower-end 5.4 and 6.1-inch iPhones can feature dual-lens cameras. Japanese site Mac Otakara also believes that the lower-end iPhone will feature a dual-camera and high-end features triple camera.

No Notch !! In iPhone 12

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that at least one iPhone in 2020 will feature a smaller notch and improved bezel to screen ratio, ultimately resulting in a smaller notch system.

Barclays analysts believe, the iPhone 2020 will feature a refreshed TrueDepth camera system, though there are no details from Barclays on what might be improved.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debby Wu have previously reported about Apple are considering to release the iPhone with both FaceID and in-display fingerprint scanner in 2020. Apple is facing to put laser scanner rather than putting an optical sensor which can easily fool by mockups. But if the testing is successful by 2019 then Apple will put it on iPhone 2020 or they will push the timeline to next year to 2021.

TouchID Returns?

It is one of the most expected features of iPhone 2020, the company may re-introduce TouchID alongside with FaceID, this time the TouchID will be reengineered to embed the sensor in the screen rather than putting a separate button on the bottom of the screen

Barclays analysts suggested that the fingerprint could use the acoustic fingerprint sensor, and the Chinese site The Global Times has suggested Apple will release a notch-less phone with an under-display fingerprint sensor aimed for the Chinese market.

While in the case of inclusion of both fingerprint and FaceID in the same phone might be difficult as a report from Bloomberg the iPhone 2021 might include both of these features. 

5G

5G will soon become a necessity for smartphones as a rapid expansion of 5G towers around the world, it has been expected that by the end of 2020 people will start getting decent coverage. Apple has to bring 5G smartphones by the end of 2020 to capture the market share of this growing technology. 

Apple and Qualcomm have joined their hands to bring next Qualcomm cellular chipset into the next generations’ iPhones. Apple is looking highly committed to bringing its own cellular chipset market but it may require more time (around 2022) for Apple to fully develop 5G modems. Apple has bought the Intel 5G modem research division for $1 Billion to make in-house chipsets. 

5G might have two different types of technology, one may be mmWave (faster and limited range) and sub 6GHz (slower but wider spread) and there could be some differences in which countries support which specifications. mmWave 5G technology will likely be limited to major cities and dense urban areas because of its short-range, while 5G networks in rural and suburban areas will use the slower sub-6GHz technology.

Qualcomm’s X55 chip offers 7Gb/s peek download speed and 3Gb/s upload speeds, though these numbers are theoretical somehow the modem will provide pretty decent speed in real-world scenarios.

Kuo believes iPhone models with mmWave and sub-6GHz support will be available in main markets like the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada, and Japan, while in some other countries, Apple may offer iPhones with just sub-6GHz connectivity. sub-6GHz could also be disabled in countries that do not offer 5G or have shallow 5G penetration.

Other Features

Recently, Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis told about some expected features of the upcoming iPhone. According to him the upcoming features of iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max may have 6 GB RAM. Apart from that, it is also expecting that both of the models of the iPhone may come with rear-facing 3D sensing and mmWave support that will be compatible with 5G. Apple could launch two sets of iPhone each of them will feature a different type of 5G band as one could feature a mmWave support while other will feature 600mHz which could help Apple to achieve the best speed both of these different technologies.

Release Date

Apple might bring a new iPhone in September 2020, in its yearly iPhone smartphone event. Alongside iPhone 2020 Apple might introduce new Apple Watch and other devices as well.

Okay, so, I have always been interesting in how clothes look and function, and four the past four years especially my religion has played a huge role in how I see myself and the world, so I drew these clothes based around quotes, songs, symbols, and principles of my religion. This are mostly some of the more recent ones, I’ll post some older ones at another time. :)

I’ll also add descriptions of the clothes and the quotes behind them under a read more for those who’re interested.

Image 1: 1.1: A hoodie with flowers on it, based on one of my favorites, “ye are as the flowers of one garden.” I think I intended for the main hoodie to either be white, gray, or blue, with brown “soil” at the ends of the sleeves and multicolored flowers growing up the arms, back, and sides so that one even lands on the hood. 🌸

Image 2: (Top to bottom) 2.1: a blue or green hoodie with yellow lights on the edges and white wings that have more lights. Based on my favorite song to play “Angels of fire and snow”. More on that shortly.🌨 2.2: a pair of bell bottom jeans, the left leg (to the right) has flames and ember going up to a smoky cloud, as the right leg (to the left) has snow coming down from gray clouds to a field with a little snowman. Also for Angels Of Fire And Snow. Sue me, it’s a good song. 🔥 2.3: an orange belt with a snow flake clasp. … I really like that song okay? 😅

Image 3: (Middle left to right, then above, then below) 3.1: the Bellfire bell bottoms. Also based off of angels of fire and snow, drawn before the pants with both. Mostly for the pun and because I like the swooshy feel of bell bottoms. 💥 3.2: the snowbells. Guess what that’s based on. 😜 3.3: the bell bells. … not really based on anything other than the fact that we’re suppose to know and appreciate the arts, I suppose. I was showing Bellfire and Snowbells to my friends and we started chanting about the Bell Bells. It happened. 🔔 3.4: the Bell Belt. Blame the Bell Bells. Not colored, or even inked. Nor will it probably ever be. 3.5: I was in a very bell filled mood that day, and it may have been while I was fasting, so I was probably a little out of it. Why a sweater with a bell print and lots of tiny jingle bells seemed like a good idea, I’m not really sure.

I also love the Persian trend of bright colors against dark backgrounds. A lot. The blue stars signify (to me) Bahá'u'llah, as at least his son had piercing blue eyes; the green is for the Báb, a traceable descendant of Muhammad, who therefore wore a green turban; the yellow/gold is because it reminds me of light, gold (for purity and richness of spirit) and faith in general. 🌟 4.2: the snow belt. … back to AOFAS. It has nine points, like the star. ❄️ 4.3: a fire and snow skirt. I have since realized that flecks of red and orange should be among the white of the snow, as the embers float away from the fire, but, oh well. 💙

Image 5: (Left to right top to bottom) 5.1: the flower drop skirt. Inspired by a lack of pockets and the desire to be able to change between long and medium length skirts with relative ease. Based off of the call and response “we are drops” song, particularly the lines “we are flowers/ of one garden” and “we are drops/ of one ocean.” One of the first songs of my childhood, other than Red Grammer. It has half a zipper on the top, at the end of a waistband, and the other half on the bottom. The main print is that of pink flowers on a green back drop, and the print when it’s zipped up is deep blue droplets on light blue.💧 5.2: the droplet heals. I wanted to try making shoes. Shoes are hard. Heals are pretty even if you couldn’t force me to wear them. Water drops are vaguely shoe shaped. We are drops of one ocean. It followed! 🌧 5.3: sweet nectar tank. To be explained later👉🏻 5.4: Allah'u'abha hoodie. Ditto.👆🏻 5.5: the heart sweats. Loving everyone is a huge thing, as is “oh son of spirit, My first council is this: posses a pure, kindly, and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty. Ancient imperishable and ever lasting.” (Done from memory, sorry for any hiccups.) the hearts hide pockets because it would be crazy not to. These can be worn around the house, as pjs, or when working on a service project. ❤️ 5.6: burning kindness t shirt, “let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path” is written on the back, and a small burning heart is over the left side of the chest. (Front and back view shown 💝 5.7 burning kindness polo, for a slightly more formal event, this may or may not have the quote emblazoned on the back, but it does have the flaming heart out front. Fire always seems to be good in our scriptures. 💞

Image 6: (From head to toes) 6.1: the fruit hair tie, “ye are the fruits of one tree and the leaves of one branch.” This is a regular ponytail holder with a bow on it because I have no clue how those work, lol. The bow is green with apples on it. 🍎 6.2: Allah'u'abha hoodie. Orange, for light and because the shirt my dad has that says Allah'u'abha on it is also about that shade, so I associate it with the word. A nine pointed star made from triangles around a little heart is over the, well, the heart.✨ 6.3: the “of one tree” socks, a tree with roots in speckled dirt, with blue over the toes, and maybe the heal, for easy replacement when the cloth wears through. Slightly ironic because you need two. 🌳

Image 7: 7.1: the sweet nectar tank top. Somewhere in the Bahá'í writings there is a reference to our founder as being a humming bird, and the words of God being an irresistibly sweet nectar. For me, however, this is based off of the Seals and Crofts song “Hummingbird,” one of their top hits and also one of their most explicitly Bahá'í songs, other than “East of the Ginger Trees.” The song goes “the sweetness of your nectar, it draws me like a fly! And I just love you love you love you, don’t even know the reason why. Hummin'bird don’t fly away, fly away! Hummin'bird don’t fly away, fly away!” 🌺 7.2: the heart sweats, already explained. ❤️

From Red (and Kathy) Grammer’s “with two wings” and a Bahá'í quote talking about how men and women are like the wings of the dove of peace. The blue wing on the left represents the masculine gender(s), and the pink one on the right is for the feminine. I’m not sure where NBs fit into this metaphor but it was made for people in the late 1800s/early 1900s, which, while not the height of gender conformity, did put a damper on talking about trans and NB people. Let’s say the yellow is for multiple or the lack of genders. 🕊 8.2: Sore to the heights pants. If the human soul is like a bird, then God is like… space. Beautiful, endless, and always just out of reach. People as birds feature prominently in the Bahá'í writings. Probably sweats. There are two birds, one on either side, and both cover pocket openings. Clouds are white, back drop is blue. 🌤 8.3: we are one family t shirt. The one is made of little humanoid figures. I’d like to be able to get them to be all shapes and sizes and colors, but my skill isn’t quite to that level, aaaaannd I haven’t even inked it so I don’t feel comfortable coloring this yet. Just imagine the people in the one as mostly brown with some bing very pale and some being almost ink colored. 1️⃣

Image 10: 10.1: tiny seed t shirt. I don’t remember the official quote, but there one a song I heard that goes “I am, I am, oh my god, oh my god, but a tiny seed, which thou hast sown in the soil of thy love, in the soil of thy love.” So I put that on the back without all the repeats and never remembered to ink it in. Probably a tan shirt, has a small sprout on front. Possibly smaller than I’ve drawn it.🌱 10.2: the junior youth jersey. Speaking of song’s I’ve heard not enough times! This is from one I heard at Winter School, and only on one day! Like three or so years ago! I was helping with the JY class so I was probably over fourteen, but it wasn’t the last year I was there and we haven’t made it to winter school in two or three years, and time is hard even when it’s not 12:30 in the morning after a day of thinking a lot and breaking up a pair of siblings from fighting and dealing with the six year old melting down! (I love her, I love her lots, but she really didn’t need to do that.) Anyways the song was “my feet will hold me up! My feet won’t let me down! These junior youth have got their roots in solid ground!” Or something vaguely similar to that. I’m not sure. It’s been a few years.🎽 10.3: the zipper for the JY jersey! I really wanted a close up for my idea of curlycue letters on a pretty little triangle zipper! 🔺
