Tis the Holiday Season and there is so much to do in the city that never sleeps. In place of our typical events of the week post, we have detailed out different festive activities happening IC for your characters to be able to react to or write starters/threads with. The below is not by any means mandatory, but we hope you take them as fun thought starters to get some festive plots going. 

We will also be having a Holiday Gift Exchange later in the week for anyone who wants their characters to participate so stay tuned for that.

THINGS HAPPENING OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

What: Reindeer Run

Where: Throughout NYC

Are you ready to run rudolph? Well it’s that time again! The annual reindeer run will start at 8:00am sharp. This is a 10k marathon that includes tons of reindeer games to keep you busy throughout the course.

What: Sexy Santa Costume Contest

Where: Sinners

After you’re done spending the day with the family head on over to Sinners for a night of wild and sexy fun. The club has been turned into a Winter Wonderland, will be hosting dancers for the evening. If you’re wanting to let loose put on your sexiest Santa costume and get to Sinners before you miss all the fun.

What: Single All The Way - Single’s Mixer Event

Where: Neon Nights

Feeling lonely this holiday season? Well don’t worry. Neon Nights is providing you the chance to mix and mingle with other singles in your area. Who knows? Maybe you’ll end up bringing someone home for the holiday’s after all.

Where: Central Park

Want that magical moment that only seems possible in movies? Count yourself lucky because Central Park is offering the chance to recreate some of the most romantic moments in movies. Horse drawn carriage rides will be going on all holiday season.

While kwanza is observed from December 26 to January 1, to celebrate on December 26th there will be a feast to celebrate family, community, and culture held at the community center.

Where: Rockerfeller Center 

One of the most magical things about New York is seeing the Christmas tree lit up in Rockerfeller Center. It’s one of the biggest attractions in the city. While you are there seeing the tree there is also Ice Skating in Rockerfeller Center for the season.

What: Christmas Market + Ice Skating

Where: Bryant Park

Come to the biggest Christmas Market that holds any and every decoration that you could ever hope for. After some shopping make sure to hit the rink with your friends or family for a truly can’t miss holiday activity.

Where: Manhattan/Clan Headquarters

A vampires only event held by clan leader Devin Khan that you will want to sink your teeth into.

Come party at Eclipse who is hosting their Not So Silent Night party which lasts a full 24 hours. If last year is any idea of what may happen at this party there will be little clothes, music, and a whole of people making Santa’s Naughty List.

Come see different Christmas decorations and celebrations from all over the world as The Botanical Gardens celebrates cultures around the world.

‘Tis the season to experience one of the most cherished holiday traditions! The entire Zoo will be transformed into a winter wonderland covered in over 3 million LED lights, and you’ll get to see the penguins come out to play!

Feeling a little murderous this holiday season? Don’t worry Glass Moon will be throwing their annual Murder Mystery Party: Holiday Edition. It’s a one night only exclusive where the best of the best will put their heads together to try and figure out who the murder is before time runs out.

Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a magical one-hour trip to meet Santa. Favorite Music Artists 2020

My personal favorites as of the beginning of 2020. I did a list of movies so might as well do one for artists too 🤷🏻🤷🏻 Disclaimer: IDC if you have a problem with any of these artists, you can moan about it in the comments and I will ignore you lmao

1. Halsey

I love basically all of Halsey's songs. She continue to release banger after banger and her voice is amazing! Top favorites include Graveyard, Heaven in Hiding, Young God, and Castle.

2. Ariana Grande

Another star that just releases good song after good song. I wasn't that big of a fan at the very beginning of her career but that is mostly because I didn't pay attention to her music. Now that I do, especially her more recent stuff, I absolutely love her! Favorite songs include: 7 Rings, Break up with your Girlfriend, NASA, Boyfriend, and God is a Woman.

3. Cardi B

I don't like EVERY one of her songs, however there is a good chunk of her music I really enjoy, especially her newer music. 4. Doja Cat

Another artist that a good majority of her music is very good, I like a lot on her new album but a song she made as a joke is the reason I started listening to her. Favorites: Mooo!, Cyber Sex, Streets, Addiction, Juicy, Candy, Casual, and Body Language.

5.Saweetie

I listen to a handful of her songs and I started listening to her before a few of her songs blew up and she got really popular. She hasn't released anything new in awhile because she's on tour but that is why she is low on this list. Favorites: Emotional, 1 of 1, My Type, ICY GRL, and Pissed.

6. Imagine Dragons

Unlike the other artists above, I haven't listened to their newer stuff, I do love their older music though and I grew up with that music so they will always have a special place for me. Favorites: Thunder, Whatever it Takes, Dancing in the Dark, Mouth of the River, Gold, and Friction.

7. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has always been one of my favorites, I've been listening to her since her very first album and she was the very first concert I went to. The only reason she's so low on the list is because her newest album isn't has good as her previous ones in my opinion. I still love some of the songs off it though. Favorites: Lover, The Archer, Delicate, Call it What You Want, Style, Wonderland, Clean, Dress, Haunted, and Last Kiss.

8. Snow the Product

This artist is honestly underrated (even on this list she's underrated but that's because I only started listening to her recently). She bilingual and includes it in a lot of her music which I think is amazing. Favorites: Butter, Say Bitch, and Petty

9. Neffex

This band releases a lot of music but aren't really well known. They're style, at least in my opinion, is a bit all over the place but they do have a few really good songs. Favorites: Rumors, and Lost not Found

10. Billie Eilish

I actually like a majority of her music, however she's last on this list partly because her fandom is sooooo annoying. Very whiny tbh, however her music is really good and I appreciate her lyrics. Favorites: Bad Guy, All the Good Girls Go to Hell, You Should See Me in a Crown, and Ocean Eyes.

Honorable mentions: Killumanti, she's a generally under appreciated artist and doesn't get a lot of attention. Lorde, I only like her first album. Selena Gomez, her most recent songs have really been a lot better than her old stuff. Finally, Cavetown.

I listen to a lot of other random artists, however in those cases its only one or two songs of their's that i listen too, but I really enjoy. I might make a list of top ten songs after this to showcase some of these 🤷🏻
