#saw a post going around about the e/m plot from the last ep regarding consent and the ability to say no#didn’t really want to reblog and leave tags on op’s post because well… i’m about to criticize the show and the writing#but uh…. yeah the way they played that storyline was um#not good#and as much as i’d like to believe that the issues around consent were intentional and will be addressed again at a later time….#i sincerely doubt it#they played a lot of it as a joke and buck’s response to eddie trying to escape marisol and avoid having sex with her#‘you’ll get through it’ (or something to that effect)…. yikes lmao#and i doubt they did that to make buck look like a bad friend#they probably just didn’t even realize that it makes buck look like he’s validating eddie’s inability to say no#it’s unfortunate that they played this as poorly as they did#but it’s not the first time that they’ve flubbed a storyline this bad#hell it happened with a different storyline in this very episode (the violent rescue dog/foster child metaphor was 😬😬😬)#anyway#yeah that sucked to reflect on#hopefully they’ll do better going forward
