Huge mahalo to Tony for coming back out with us again and speaking up for sharks! We have so much respect for you using your platform to raise awareness for shark conservation, we hope to dive with you again sometime! 🤙🏽 Photos by @juansharks Repost @tony_giordano ・・・ ROUND II Cage-less #SharkDive - #OahuNorthShore. (Swipe) Another unbelievable experience and more importantly another great lesson from @oceanramsey, @juansharks and @danny_mako, for further knowledge of the amazing and gorgeous creatures these are. Many of you who have known me a long time know that back in 2009 I became a strong advocate and supporter in ending the senseless killing of dolphins and raising awareness of @thecove foundation. The senseless and absolute brutal killings of sharks has brought it to a whole other level now. Sharks kill (on accident) less than a dozen humans a year, yet humans kill 70-100 million sharks every year. FACT! Yet the media loves to cover that rare shark attack on a human, but are not covering the 10,000 sharks every hour that are being killed simply for their fins for a popular soup in Asia called #sharkfinsoup which is mostly just a status symbol. It disgusts me. Just as you read this, over 200 sharks were just killed for their fins and then their bodies thrown back over to bleed out and drown! We need sharks who play such a MASSIVE roll in the health of our oceans. Please take the time to watch our friend @oceanramsey’s and @juansharks new award-winning documentary #SavingJaws with @oneoceandiving. It is a must see eye opener. You can easily find the documentary Saving Jaws on Amazon Prime with Apple TV. For @london.giordano and I to have another opportunity to dive down and swim with these gorgeous creatures surrounding us by the dozens, is an experience words can’t describe and all must experience themselves. Sharks because of media and even more stupid movies from the 70’s and still today, are extremely misconceived. Please take the time to watch Saving Jaws and please share and re-share anything you can to stop the brutal killings of sharks before it is too late. We must turn this around NOW! https://www.instagram.com/p/B4IkqetHTgK/?igshid=i68vwulxoej4

- PRESS PLAY...part 1 of my “If sharks could speak” If they knew what humans were doing to their populations...#SpeakUpForSharks #HelpSaveSharks #saveTheOcean Please repost Photo I took years ago of a beautiful #GreatWhiteShark I hope is still alive 💙 #savingjawsmovie #SavingJaws #OceanRamsey #SharkSpeaking #ifSharksCouldSpeak #truth #reality #apexpredatornotmonster #oneocean #oneoceanglobalambassador #oneoceandiving 💙🦈💙 My shark would say “I know I look scary but there’s a lot more to me than meets the eye and if you got to know more about me and you might even like me. My job is to keep the ocean healthy by preventing disease from spreading and keeping lower trophic level populations in balance.  I pick off the week wounded injured sick dead and dying. Unfortunately my kind is being brought to the point of extinction we are being killed by humans at a rate of almost 100 million sharks every year, that averages out to 2 to 3 sharks being killed every single second, that is not a sustainable number.  We are mostly killed in very cruel ways with our fins being cut off while we are still alive just to satisfy the demand for shark fin soup a status symbol bowl of soup that is not even nutritious, its toxic, like our meat, its bad for your health to eat shark. We are also being killed just for sport for shark fishing or just because people think we are monsters or we are wastefully caught in nets. Many people don’t care about us because they’re afraid of us because we are so Misportrayed in the media and we can’t speak up for ourselves. Less than 10 people a year die from a shark bite it’s very rare that we ever make a mistake despite the fact that humans dress up looking like seals and acting like injured marine animals. Please help us before it’s too late before we are all gone because the rest of the ocean relies on us and all humans rely on the ocean for the air they breathe and I am a part of that life cycle. please help me, please repost this and help save the last of my kind” - via @oceanramsey https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn056bLgKIt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=xldxuzdh57sd

Awesome repost from one of our safety divers in training @scubabarbie7 💙🦈 ・・・ Born and raised in New England this hits home. In 2015 june 19. 2015, Allison pohle wrote a article for the @boston sharing that the author of Jaws, Peter Benchley, WISHED HE NEVER WROTE IT! @peter_benchley_photography ▪ He sold more than 10 million book copies and turned into a millionaire. BUT He regrettes writing it. He said: “What I now know, which wasn’t known when I wrote Jaws, is that there is no such thing as a rogue shark which develops a taste for human flesh." ▪ Humans kill between 50 and 100 million sharks each year, he said, but sharks only kill a handful of humans. "The Shark Research Institute found that the populations of eight shark species declined more than 50 percent from 1986 to 2000.... The odds of dying in a shark attack are 1 in 3.7 million, according to the Florida Program for Shark Research, and it’s been nearly 80 years since someone died of a shark attack in Massachusetts." ▪ Yet, for some, the terror of a real-life Jaws attack persists. SavingJaws is a new movie that will come out soon from @oneoceandiving co-founders @oceanramsey and @juansharks. Please watch and realized that media always exaggerates everything and sharks arent the harmful creatres that are portrayed. ▪ Thank you again @boston for sharing news like this, like i said it hits home to realize sharks are being killed in the waters i grew up in. There is no reason to be scared. ▪ Also big thanks to @camgrantphotography for this beautiful photos #bostonnews #savingjaws #girlswhofreedive #northshoreoahu #explorehawaii #onewiththepack #ladyshark #waterbaby #blondehavemorefun #freediver #jaws #savetheseas #savetheocean #savethesharks (at North Shore, Haleiwa, Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxGbLurhix2/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=13qa1mwtb4age

🎉 Cheers to the start of another year with countless opportunities to speak up for sharks and the ocean 💙 Let’s make 2019 the year to say no to shark-fin soup, unsustainable fishing, shark byproducts like shark squalene and cartilage, and single-use plastic! 🙌🏽 // Beautiful photo by our co-founder, @juansharks 🦈 ・・・ 2018 brought the largest tiger shark I have ever seen or at least the widest tiger shark I have documented. This is #Moana in our tiger shark ID program @oneoceansharks. Moana became instagram famous in 2015 when @zacefron dubbed her his spirit animal during dive with her @oneoceandiving. I feel like she may have doubled in size since that dive. I hope to see her babies in 2019 🎉🙏🏼. #nextgeneration #sharks #changethewayyouthink #about #sharks #cagethefear #ApexPredatorNotMonster without sharks, the ocean that we know today will cease to exist. #savingjaws @savingjawsmovie (at North Shore in Hale'Iwa, Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsJK4V-Bqiq/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=yhqblsixth4m

We’re so stoked that we had the opportunity to take pro surfer @kellyslater and his daughter, @taylrsltr, swimming cage-free with sharks 🦈💙 Thank you for coming out with us! Stunning photos of their experience from our co-founder, @juansharks. ・・・ 1st photo is @oceanramsey and  @kellyslater diving with us @oneoceandiving  Kelly came out with his daughter @taylrsltr and @gregstoneocean as apart of a ocean conservation pod cast, coming soon.  The sharks were a bit shy this day, hanging out around 50ft which did not stop Kelly from enjoying some bottom time with them.  It was a huge honor to share a dive with the  11x world champ of 🏄and his talent in water goes past surfing, some of Kelly’s breath holds had me struggling to stay down with him.  Means a lot to me to see surfers sharing the ocean with sharks, understanding how important sharks are to Heath of the reef and the oceans ecosystem.  You could tell Kelly was very comfortable and respectful with the animals.  Hoping to get him out again in August with one of our big tiger sharks along with past one ocean diving surfing legends @clarklittle @thomasvictorcarroll @anthony_walsh_ @shanedorian @mikecoots and @healeywaterops all in the water at the same dive.  That would be an epic event. #letsmakeithappen #coexist #ApexPredatorNotMonster #oneocean #weneedsharks #savingjaws #helpsavesharks (at Haleiwa, Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/BseF8Nch3l-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=z53kjd6vnul5
