Any nation telling it’s citizen’s to abort babies that will be born of a certain RACE is genocide.
Any nation telling it’s citizens to abort babies that will be born of a certain GENDER is genocide.
Any nation telling it’s citizens to abort babies that will be born with a certain DISABILITY is genocide.
But people have a problem with the last one. Just like the common knowledge of people with darker skin and women was, and still is, tainted by stereotypes, so is your perception of people with “disabilities.” No one should be aborted because they are different than what is considered normal.
That’s why we need to save Down syndrome.

I hear my daughter saying this to me. What is yours saying??? #savedownsyndromenigeria #Savedownsyndrome #DownsyndromeAmbassador #EarlyIntervention #tm4Downsydrome #NoMoreStigma #Repost @savedownsyndrome • • • • • • Down syndrome does not stop us from starting our own businesses or having successful careers. If we are treated equally from the time we are babies by our families, societies, education systems, medical care providers, and governments, we can graduate from high school, graduate from college, find careers, become entrepreneurs, get married, have children, and more. Just like people without Down syndrome can have other disabilities, mental disorders, or traumas that make it harder for them to achieve the above, people with Down syndrome can have those too along with having Down syndrome. The majority of us are capable of given a chance, just like people without Down syndrome! 💙💛 #savedownsyndrome #downsyndrome #disabilityrights #specialneedsrights #advocatewithnotfor #nonprofit #inclusion #inclusionmatters #morealikethandifferent #theluckyfew #downrightperfect #21reasonswhy #imnotameme #organtransplantrights #ndss #ndsc #reecesrainbow #disabilityrightsinternational #endlawsyndrome #buddiesofthebluegrass #chloesfoundation #heartsofjoyinternational #miracleleague #moyinoluwarainbowfoundation #buddyuptennis #provethemwrong https://www.instagram.com/p/B19aS7vpyWn/?igshid=cif5wctt9rwm

Some socks may be different, but they’re still socks. And sometimes, it's the things that make them different that make them awesome! 💪🏼 . Today is #WorldDownSyndromeDay! We celebrate today (3/21) in honor of that extra special third copy of the 21st chromosome. . And, if you’re like me and you wanna show the whole world that you’re head-over-heels for someone with Down syndrome, the best way to get the conversation going today is to #RockYourSocks! 💙😍💛 #WDSD #msuniversal #calledtochampion . . . #DownSyndrome #T21 #Trisomy21 #DownSyndromeAwareness #ChangingTheFaceOfBeauty #DSDN #DownSyndromeRocks #MoreAlikeThanDifferent #DownSyndromeLove #SaveDownSyndrome

what do you think are some of the most important things to know about downs syndrome? where im from, we dont get that much info about it, except for a quick mention when learning about trisomy in bio. just curious and looking to expand my knowledge!
the most important thing (that a lot of people don’t know) is that people with downs syndrome can do most of the things an able person can! obviously there are different cases and types of downs syndrome (mosaic downs syndrome for example is a very light version), and people with severe downs are less likely to do the same things as people with mosaic downs - my sister, for example, has severe downs. She’s 17 and can just about count to 12, can read a little in English and less in German, and she can’t go anywhere by herself. There are people with downs syndrome who can do all of that and more, they live alone, work, date, etc. Parents who receive a diagnosis are often told the bad aspects, such as possible heart issues (my sister was born with a hole in her heart but for the most part she’s now perfectly happy and healthy) and inability to do everyday things, which as I said simply isn’t true.
furthermore, having my sister in my life has allowed me to become a much more understanding, caring and patient person. it’s taught me to not discriminate against disabilities.
Also she’s just such a happy person? like I know that that’s a stereotype of people with downs, that they’re always happy, and it’s not true, but for the most part she is very happy and just such a pure force in my life. yesterday I was helping her with homework and every time she got it right, we high fived and she was so excited!! or every Saturday she makes pizza with my dad and its one of her favourite parts of the week, or recently every time we mention Christmas or presents or anything like that she wriggles with excitement.
I could go on for hours about it but I think you get my point lmao if you want to learn more I would highly recommend looking at downs accounts on instagram! baileyandthebabies, chloe_zebedeemodel, kathleenhumberstone, nothingdownaboutit, positive_about_down_syndrome, globaldownsyndrome, and savedownsyndrome!

Can i like this post forever?????? I've really enjoyed the teachings /trainings from @open_future_learning. It would shift your minds if you are trying to imagine it's a horrible life with Ds pr any dis...ability. It can never be....my daughter glows and she is always loving up on all that i love...she's fierce, gives others hope and fighter in the face of fear and injustice. Sadly, some still think people with DS think like kids or will never grow up to be able to make decisions or add value to their communities. Sadly still, some think they will always have the brain of a child not respecting that they have equal rights as everyone. I'm not upset, i am simply saying this post should be shared a million times over. Do i have my country people read this post???? I am an Ambassador for #savedownsyndromenigeria @Morainbow_downsyndrome #Repost @savedownsyndrome • • • • • • We know you don't mean to sound demeaning, but think of it like this: if someone spoke to you as if you were a baby because they presumed you were intellectually incompetent, you wouldn't like it either. @morainbow_downsyndrome Loud it!. Person first ! #Repost @savedownsyndrome • • • • • • You wouldn't say "brown hair person," you would say "person with brown hair." It's not different when it comes to Down syndrome. Everyone is a person first. Although it seems meaningless, the words you choose to say do have an impact on people. You can change the way someone views someone else by the way you phrase what you say. You have the freedom to choose what you say- choose wisely 💛💙 #savedownsyndrome #advocacy #tellmewhatyoustandfor #disabilityrights #downsyndrome #specialneedsrights #morealikethandifferent #inclusionmatters #nonprofit #downrightperfect #theluckyfew #inclusion #21reasonswhy #ndss #ndsc #endlawsyndrome #spreadthewordtoendtheword #reecesrainbow #disabilityrightsinternational #imnotamememovement #organdiscriminationmovement #advocatewithnotfor https://www.instagram.com/p/B0osc2yp9m0/?igshid=2188f2m99yud

Thank you, Mr. President, for acknowledging World Down Syndrome Day! It means so much! 💙💛 We'd like to remind our followers that we are posting this because the President of the United States acknowledged World Down Syndrome Day- we are an apolitical organization that praises all efforts to save Down syndrome. Please keep your politics to yourself regarding your interactions with our organization. Interactions include comments on our posts. The barriers of political opinions, religion, etc. stand in the way of ending the genocide, discrimination, and mistreatment of people with Down syndrome. All are welcome at Save Down Syndrome, and that is going to include people that you may not like, but you need to put that aside if you truly want to save Down syndrome with us. #Repost @realdonaldtrump ・・・ "We will always support the dreams of those with Down syndrome, and respect and honor the sanctity of their lives, at every stage." #WDSD19 💙💛 #savedownsyndrome #advocacy #tellmewhatyoustandfor #disabilityrights #downsyndrome #specialneedsrights #morealikethandifferent #inclusionmatters #nonprofit #downrightperfect #theluckyfew #inclusion #21reasonswhy #ndss #ndsc #endlawsyndrome #spreadthewordtoendtheword #reecesrainbow #disabilityrightsinternational #imnotamememovement #organdiscriminationmovement #worlddownsyndromeday #worlddownsyndromeday2019 #wdsd19 #wdsd2019 #wdsd @RepostIt_app @savedownsyndrome https://www.instagram.com/p/BvS-ESrF053AVY-3I9xDE1iCQnu9jzW--LThnM0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=12m1vrep6e6b8

Professor Reuven Feuerstein believed that everyone- including people with disabilities- is capable of learning, and he proved himself right through the application of his teaching method: the Feuerstein Method. People with Down syndrome and other disabilities who have been taught using his method have gone on to graduate high school, attend higher education, find careers, get married, and more. A little while after Professor Feuerstein developed his method, he welcomed his own grandson with Down syndrome into the world, and eventually taught his grandson using his method. His son, Rabbi Refael "Rafi" Feuerstein, is the current president of the Feuerstein Institute. Professor Feuerstein's method is a good tool to use in advocating for your own education, if you have Down syndrome, or your child/family member with Down syndrome's education. Visit their website at http://www.icelp.info/ to find out more about the Feuerstein Method. Rest In Peace, Professor Feuerstein (1921-2014). There are no words to describe this video- it left us speechless and in tears of joy. People with Down syndrome, when treated like people without disabilities would be by their societies, families, education systems, medical care providers, and governments, can graduate from high school, graduate from college, live on their own, find careers, start businesses, get married, and more. Many doctors don't know much Down syndrome or people with it, and what they do know is most often outdated and/or incorrect. NDSS is doing their part to save Down syndrome, and they've been doing a wonderful job now for 40 years! 💙💛 #savedownsyndrome #advocacy #tellmewhatyoustandfor #disabilityrights #downsyndrome #specialneedsrights #morealikethandifferent #inclusionmatters #nonprofit #downrightperfect #theluckyfew #inclusion #21reasonswhy #ndss #ndsc #endlawsyndrome #spreadthewordtoendtheword #reecesrainbow #disabilityrightsinternational #imnotamememovement #organdiscriminationmovement @RepostIt_app https://www.instagram.com/p/BtxnX2sljdreOpLC7Ri6F_RVS7VBbOkl2BjYHI0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=8nklbzfnx608
