here's something of an origin story for shika that i made a couple years ago! 🩷

i wanted to explore shika's gender as well as her feelings for suki. when i first created shika, she was meant to be suki's friend-turned-rival, but i like this setup more.

i'd like to draw more about shika's complex feelings about her new family too, but i really wanted to delve into her relationship with suki first. it was super fun to draw them as kids!

since this is an older piece, it's a little rough around the edges...i considered touching some things up (especially the text boxes/handwriting), but i got lazy and decided to just post it as-is. i hope you like it anyway! 💖🩷
