Maeklong Railway Train Market
On a warm and bustling evening, my friend and I decided to make the most of our hour and a half of free time in Sathon, a vibrant district of the city. Not wanting to waste a moment, we hailed a Grab car to take us to our destination. As we approached the area, we could already sense the energy in the air.
Upon arriving, it was clear that we had chosen the right spot for some excitement. The streets were teeming with activity, and the constant stream of motorcycles added to the buzz. The atmosphere was electric, with the unmistakable thump of loud music resonating from various establishments. The lively ambiance was intoxicating.
We began to explore our surroundings, passing numerous bars and tattoo shops that lined the bustling streets. The neon signs and lively chatter of patrons spilled out into the streets, creating a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds.
Our first stop was the main market. Initially, we found only a few clothing shops that offered basic, commercial clothing. But as we ventured deeper into the market, we stumbled upon the food section. It was a treasure trove of culinary delights from various cultures. Feeling adventurous, I decided to try crickets, octopus with spicy salad served in a plastic bag, chicken breaded strips, and soju. The flavors were an explosion of tastes, and the atmosphere around the food vendors was both chaotic and exciting.
Although sushi was plentiful, we hesitated to try it, as it seemed to be left in the heat for hours. Instead, we moved on, eager to explore more of what the market had to offer. Toward the end of the market, we encountered vintage shops and even a few weed shops. Some of the vintage stores had a westernized feel or offered high-end designer items, but the overall vibe was still cool and inviting.
We decided to take a break in the market's carpark area, where a group of local boys on skateboards approached us, asking for a lighter. Attempting to bridge the language barrier, we engaged in a short-lived conversation in Thai, which resulted in laughter and smiles.
As we continued towards the front of the market, we reached a wide street flanked by bars on both sides. It was clear that they were in competition, each one featuring a live band playing at full volume. The music was deafening, reminiscent of the famous Khao San Road, and the energy was infectious.
As we prepared to leave the market, we passed by more bars, clothing shops, and tattoo parlors. One particular bar caught our attention, or more accurately, our ears. The loud, raw sound of a live rock band beckoned us inside. It was a riveting experience, and we couldn't resist the urge to stay and enjoy the show.
The band played their hearts out, and we joined the crowd in cheering and dancing. The band were crazy, some of the guitarists jumped over the fence onto the road and started playing in the middle of the road despite several cars having to drive around them. It was a night filled with unexpected adventures, new flavors, and a vibrant cultural experience that we would remember for a long time. Sathon had revealed a side of the city we had never seen before, and we couldn't have been happier with our spontaneous decision to explore this lively and eclectic neighborhood.

Hey there! I know we haven't really talked before, but I thought I'd offer one of my favorite verses for when life is hard:
Psalm 27:13-14, NASB 1995
13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.
I know we haven’t interacted much with each other but it’s always a delight to hear from you, whether it’s comments on AO3 or over here ☺️ This is a comforting set of verses, thank you ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve played a good chunk of them! Let’s see lemme think...
I’ve played Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time (3D), Wind Waker (hd), Spirit Tracks, Twilight Princess (hd), the original Legend of Zelda, A Link Between Worlds, Tri Force Heroes, Breath of the Wild... and I’m a little more than halfway through Majora’s Mask (3D).

🌃 It’s lights out, and you just don’t want to sleep? Fret not, because some places in Bangkok just stay bustling until the wee hours. Are there any similar places in other provinces? Do share them here in the comments below!
🌟 Banthat Thong - A teenager’s favourite food strip packed with Mala hotpots, old and new hole-in-the-walls, cafes, dessert bars, and more.
🌟 Soi Nana, Yaowarat - Step aside from the major food scene of Yaowarat, and you will be met with hideaways of secret bars and lounges with unique personalities.
🌟 Silom, Sathon - An office workers’ paradise with many old-school eateries and rooftop bars.
🌟 Ratchadapisek - Roam the night away, eating your heart out at Jodd Fair Market (MRT: Phra Ram 9), and The One Ratchada (MRT: Thailand Cultural Centre).
🌟 Khaosan Road - The bustling base of international visitors, a good place to try our street food hawkers, chill out with something cold, and perhaps make some new friends?

Running an Adventurer's Guild seems all well and good until you realise you are now legally responsible for a group of combat-trained, object-oriented and emotionally damaged overgrown toddlers who treat the entire Guild Hall as their personal trash can.
I'm just saying, don't be surprised when you find yourself yelling "if I trip over the Talons of Sathon-Zagir *one more time* I'm taking them down to the temple and getting them deconsecrated into a pair of garden shears" to an empty room.

[Image description:
first Image ID originally written by @sathone: a digital black and white sketch in the style of Calvin and Hobbes depicting Hobbes and Stitch playing checkers at a small round table. Hobbes looks pensive while he moves his black checker while Stitch leans back, wearing sunglasses and holding a margarita.
2nd Image ID: a colored digital painting drawn in the style of Lilo and Stitch. Calvin and Lilo are on the beach standing over a snowman they made out of sand with seashells for eyes. It's body is lying on the ground with only half above ground. It appears to be crawling through the sand with it's mouth wide open. Calvin is holding up a sand shovel and fork in celebration while Lilo takes a picture of their creation.
3rd image ID: A colored digital painting drawn in the style of Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin, Lilo, and Nani are in the water at the beach, and the water comes up to just below Calvin's knees. Calvin and Lilo are both holding sea urchins while Nani is holding a surfboard. Calvin is staring at his sea urchin in amazement, while Lilo tells Nani "we must obey the inscrutable exhortations of our souls." Nani is giving Lilo a look that expresses mild disapproval but is mostly asking why they're doing this.
End Image Descriptions]
Someone linked a commission by Andrew Sebastian Kwan
and now I will describe this image.
[Image Description: A colored digital painting of an adult Calvin, adult Lilo, Hobbes and Stitch. Calvin is riding on Hobbes's back, and Hobbes is depicted as a gaint realistic-looking tiger with pure yellow eyes and is so large that Hobbes's head appears to be the same length as one of Calvin's legs.
They appear to be chased by Lilo who was presumably riding the similarly gigantic Stitch before she jumped off and is in the process of landing on Hobbes's back with her hands on his back and her legs in the air. Calvin is looking back at her with a surprised expression.
Lilo is looking at Calvin with an expression that is part serious, part inquisitive, and maybe part mischievous? (idk it's hard to describe. Maybe she's just too preoccupied with trying to land.) Stitch has his tongue out and seems to have to be having a good time chasing Hobbes.
End Image Description]
Calvin's parents decide to take a Hawai'ian vacation. They're not sure how much of it their son will tolerate but they would like to do at least a few things that involve sandy beaches and scenic cycling routes. They are therefore pleased when Calvin seems to make friends with a local girl about his own age and the two of them run off to play
Now, from Calvin's point of view what has happened is that he spotted actual aliens, and starts trying to bring this to the attention if the adults. But the tourists are like, "that's nice, go shoot 'em with your water gun, have a good time," and the locals are like, "yeah, they're an older couple who decided to retire here. Happens all the time." Eventually, it becomes clear that Spaceman Spiff is going to have to handle it himself.
From Lilo's point of view, Jumba and Pleakley are her gay uncles, do you mind? Calvin does mind, and so the two of them spend the rest of the afternoon terrorizing Kaua'i in the effort to destroy one another while the aliens alternate between bailing them out of trouble and attempting to escape.
Hobbes and Stitch, meanwhile, are calmly playing checkers and drinking non-alcoholic margaritas.

Since Sky is depicted as a sleepy boy, I can't help but headcannon him as narcoleptic. I feel like this particular disability is underrepresented, and fits his character :)
I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for how the rest of the Chain could help him though. Do you have any advice for helping someone who has narcolepsy?
I’ve seen a couple fics that write him in that light, which is interesting! It is definitely underrepresented, and as such I am not actually all that well versed on what does and doesn’t help with such a condition. So for the Chain… maybe Wild just keeps Sky supplied with stamina elixirs? And the others will just keep an eye on Sky so if he does pass out they make sure he doesn’t hurt himself?
