We are finally live!  Sign-ups for authors and artists are open now for the 2021 round of the Sastiel Big Bang, and we’d love for you to join us. A collection of works about all things Sastiel (or Mishalecki, if you prefer), no trope, setting or AU is off limits! Create anything with Sastiel as the main focus of the work and you’re welcome in this bang.

For Authors we have two categories, a mini bang (any fic between 2k and 10k) and a big bang (any fic over 10,000 words)

For Artists, a Mini Bang requires one piece of art, and a Big Bang requires two.

Summary

While magical creatures are known and mostly integrated into human society, there are a few that the government have identified as being "endangered" and curtailed some of their activities to "protect" them. Sam applies for and is accepted to Stanford University, where he meets his soon to be best friend, Castiel. But when Sam is attacked one night just off of University property, everything changes.

I just finished the first chapter of my Sastiel big bang. Which doesn’t sound like a lot but considering I wasn’t even going to start it until September due to serious writer’s block, I think I did pretty good

Looking for a beta!

For my Sastiel Mini Bang. It's almost complete, I'd just like someone to look it over for me and tell me what they think, if they spot any inconsistencies or anything. I'm signed up to get a beta on the SCBB page, but I'd also like it if someone who's familiar with some of my other Sastiel fics would take a look at it. I'd prefer to share it on Google Docs, but I can always paste it into a document and email it if that's easier for you. Anyways, it's a little under 7k right now, completely and utterly fluffy, and safe for work (although I hope you are working while at work, rather than reading fanfiction). Shoot me an ask if you're interested!

Nearing the end of artist sign ups

And as we get there it's looking like there are going to be almost twice as many authors as artists.

One possibly ideal solution is to have every piece of artwork be available to claim twice. There wouldn't need to be any collaboration between the authors, it would just be an opportunity to see two different fan works inspired by the same source. Double the fic! It would mean artists potentially talking to two authors to help convey ideas and share what inspired their artwork after claims are made.

In light of this we have a questionnaire which you can fill out here!

Do you ever just write something and you can't figure out if it's actually funny or if it just appeals to your strange sense of humor because you wrote it? Because I have been laughing for a solid week about a line from my SCBB and I don't think I'm going to stop laughing about it any time soon.
