SOLITUDE || 001
hello and welcome to the debut of solitude. to all my current readers, you already know whatâs up, but to new and curious readers, this installment is based off of climbing the food chain of wwe, taking place in mostly the modern era, so there are superstars spanning from 2013 the earliest to 2022..
just let me cook on the timeline a little bit okay, you'll like it LOL. thereâs a lot of Twitter segments in this so i hope itâs not annoying, theyâre going to die down for the most part later i promise
without further ado, please enjoy!
TODAY IS THE first day of your call up. The support youâve gotten from your friends from the training center was wonderful, but youâre still feeling antsy and incredibly nervous. Hopefully, your first day on the brand goes well..
Shawn Michaels was the one to break the news that you were getting called up. You could remember it so clearly because you completely ambushed him with an excited hug once he dropped the bomb on you.
He had patted your back and told you to lighten your grip a little bit, but not without a grin on his face.
If itâs one thing you deserve, it is the chance to expand your career. You always came early, and you were always prepared to learn.
You werenât sure how to feel when he told you that youâd be heading to the main roster.
You only started as a superstar on the indie circuit and are only used to being on much smaller channels and local shows. You couldnât even imagine being on WWE, which was broadcast on national television!
He had seen the look on your face and quickly tried to do damage control.
âWeâre soft-launching you, or however you kids say it these days,â He told you. You think he grumbled something about how social media was confusing, but you brushed him off. âAs an interviewer, I mean.â
âHuh..â You give a shrug. âAs long as I can wrestle sometime.â
He had assured you that you will, sooner than you think, but they just wanted to focus on your speaking. Once they (and you), were more confident, theyâd allow you to be in much more opportunities.
Such is life, you guess. Get through these obstacles for a bigger reward. You gave your gratitude to Shawn as you had a lot to look forward to.
If youâre not mistaken, WWE had already posted a teaser on their twitter. For some reason, you would find yourself constantly checking the tweet.

We hear someone is entering the scene⌠đ

âis what it said. The flurry of tweets under it were mixed. Lots of people wanted to know what the deal was, though some were already speculating it was an old star coming back.
However, the few fans that knew of your work had their guesses. Some of the pictures you posted on Instagram were cryptic hints, but you knew how the internet was. Crazy detective work..
But anyhow, people around the training center know that youâre pretty introverted. You only came to get some work done and go home. It was hard for others to get to know you at first.
They like to call you shy, but youâve started to hate that word the more itâs used. It holds you back too much. You wonât make it far if youâre stuck with that description for your entire life.
Fortunately, they know what you lack in words is made up for in the ring. Thereâs no question that youâre good, you just tend to get nervous when speaking to the public.
At heart, you knew they wanted to help you out, and they wanted you to become the best you can be! If you start practicing, youâre sure to be a star!
As motivating as it sounds, itâs still stressful. Going out of your comfort zone was nothing new. Itâs a given if you want to wrestle properly, but it still makes you uneasy.
You know youâve gotta put your best foot forward and do this despite it. This was your only chance, and you absolutely canât mess this up.
Most of the people still training had given you their well wishes. Itâs heavily appreciated; after all, you wonât see them anymore unless theyâre called up there themselves.
You think youâll miss Carmella the most. She was your training buddy, and you think she was the most excited about you getting called up. You hope that sheâll be next soon enoughâŚ.
As of right now, you look tired. You damn sure feel tired.
It causes you to lie down on the floor of the locker room. It probably wasnât the best idea, but fuck it. Youâve already made a bad decision by staying up all night out of excitement. Itâs starting to come back to you.
Of course, you came to the arena a little too early. (which was an inside joke between coaches, youâre too punctual for your own good..)
You were sure most of your coworkers hadnât arrived yet, and you werenât sure if you wanted to see them. Itâs not that you donât want to, youâre just nervous to meet them.
Especially since youâll probably be half asleep and may forget their names.
Much to your misfortune, a woman comes in, sunglasses on and suitcase handle clenched in hand.
She only lowers them with a finger once youâre in view. âOooh,â She starts, then clicks her tongue. Itâs apparent that sheâs mocking you already. â..You look like trash.â
âThanks,â You say with a sigh. âItâs so appreciated.â
This is not a good start. You make the move to get up off the comfortable ground and the woman puts a hand on her hip.
Sheâs not very amused, moving a free hand to flip her blue hair. âDid they get me a personal makeup artist? OrâŚare you just everyoneâs stylist? Never seen you here before.â
âIâm new. An interviewer.â You say. Giving yourself that title feels much weirder than saying you were a wrestler. âPray tell, who am I talking to?â
Sheâs a little taken aback by the cynical tone in your voice but takes her sunglasses off. This woman doesnât think sheâs met her match yet.
âOf course you donât recognize a celebrity when youâre in front of one. Let me refresh your memory a bit. How does this sound? The boss, the blueprint, the standard!â She pauses for a bit for dramatic effect. ââŚSasha Banks. And I better not have to repeat myself. Who exactly are you?â
âYou have a pretty name.â You start off with. Honestly, you didnât want to make an enemy out of her as much as she wanted to make one out of you. You hope she could see that. âIâm [Name], and youâre right. I am new. Maybe we can get to know each other a bit more.â
It actually seems to work because she falters for a second. ââŚWhat?â
You hold out your hand to her and she looks at it for a moment before shaking it with a scowl. Before you realize it, sheâs already taking her hand back.
âIâm assuming youâre wrestling? Do you have a match?â You quickly ask, not giving her a second to recover. âIâd like to interview you after if you do.â
âWouldnât you like to know?â Sasha drops her suitcase. Sheâs unsure if she could stand your bright personality for a second longer. Youâre going to be a problem in the future. âSorry, not sorry, but youâre a nobody. Whatâs the point?â
âIt was worth a try. But if thatâs what you want I wonât force you.â Sasha rolls her eyes at your response. Youâre way too nice. âAt least tell me, do you think itâs fun here?â
âFun?â She repeats. âTch, I know you didnât just ask if it was fun. Get real. Thereâs nothing fun about being here. Thereâs only one thing that matters, and itâs the Divas Championship. Got it?â
âGot it.â You nod. Divas ChampionshipâŚduly noted. You donât think youâll be going for it anytime soon. âWhoâs got it?â Youâll have to ask if the standard Womenâs Championship was still in circulation as well.
âAJ Lee.â She answers. Itâs the least snarky answer sheâs given you so far, but she reverts back to it. âI swear, Iâm gonna drag her ass across the mat for that title. She makes me sick with her skipping around.â
You voice your thoughts. âShe skips?â Thatâs one way to get to the ring. Youâre curious now. âI wonder if I can interview herâŚshe must have a lot to say about her reign so far.â
âWhat?â Sashaâs immediately offended. âUm, no. Who says youâre interviewing her first? Youâre obviously going to interview me first.â
Itâs contradictory to what sheâs said before, but because of it, thereâs a smile growing on your face. She notices and jabs her index finger toward you. âYou can wipe that smile off your face, rookie.â
âSo be it. I will see you afterwards.â You agree to interview her, doing your best to fight the smile off.
Sasha huffs and leaves the room for now. Your eyes follow her, and once sheâs gone, you shrug to yourself. Wow.
Well, thatâs one way to get an interviewee.
Almost seconds after her departure, your phone vibrates and you see itâs a notification from Twitter. After that, the tweets start to flow in.
What now?
@SashaBanksWWE â
I ALWAYS come first. Donât forget that, rookie. @Officially[Name].

@No1DivazStan: Wait
âł @Sashabanksfan109: Literally like who is that??? What is she talking about?
Oh boy. Now people actually are getting the idea. She even went as far as tagging you. Youâre already starting to have people follow you.
Including Sasha, which was a plus!
Youâre confident about things for a moment until the thought of having to talk to her live circles back. Shit, you might start to freak out a little.
You hope Sasha wouldnât be too harsh on you, even if it were wishful thinking. Sashaâs gonna come in hot, especially if she loses. You have no choice but to adjust.
A few more moments of silence pass, and suddenly the floor is calling you again.
You immediately lay back down. How long until the show? You take your phone out of your pocket and check the time. 6:45. The show starts at around 7. Maybe 8 if there are any delays.
Would it be wrong if you took a quick nap? Itâll only be 15 minutes, but it might just be enough to keep you going for the rest of the night.
Youâre already closing your eyes. You know youâre going to be unable to hit any major stages of sleep, but even just laying like this is nice.
Until the door opens. Youâre shooting up from your spot, almost falling over in the process.
âI WASNâT SLEEPING.â You clarify, doing your best to stand up. The woman, whoâs not Sasha this time, looks at you in confusion.
She points a finger at you. âYaâ sure about that? From the looks of it, it seemed like you were knocked out for a second.â Her accent is the first thing that catches your attention as she starts to motion towards you.
âNo, no, not at all.â You try to defend. âCanât a woman stretch on the floor in peace?â
âSeriously, you call that stretching?â Before she can make any more sarcastic comments toward you, she turns to look at you. âIâve never seen you around before. Got a name?â
She is trying her best to identify you to no avail. You hop up to your feet, then hold your hand out to her. â[Name]. Iâm just an interviewer right now, yeah. Iâm new. Who are you?â
âBecky. Becky Lynch.â She introduces, taking your hand to shake it firmly. You swear youâve seen her before, too. Probably on Twitter. Guess Becky isn't the only one with deja vu.
You pray you wouldnât forget her or Sashaâs name for that matter. You canât fight the urge to yawn.
âSomeoneâs tired. You should go get some water before you pass out. Looks like youâve seen a ghost.â
This is a nice change of pace from Sasha. Despite you trying to kill her with kindness, sheâs just all kinds of intimidating, while this woman isâŚokay.
Water may do the trick. It might just be cold enough to wake you up. âGood idea. Anywhere I can get some?â
âShould be a cooler down the hall to your right.â She informs. âSee, Iâd offer to get it for you, but Iâve got a match to get ready for.â
âWell, thanks anyway.â But before you leave, Before you leave, you turn over to her. âThis may be an assumption, but are you going against Sasha Banks?â You ask. You could be wrong, but itâs worth a shot to see.
She nods at you. âSmart girl. Howâd you know?â
âI talked to her a bit earlier. She wouldnât exactly tell me she was going in a match, but I guess it was safe to assume it was you.â You say. âIf youâd like to be interviewed, Iâll be waiting backstage.â
âIâll keep that in mind,â Becky says. Sheâs more concerned about you getting your water. âGo, I might be here when you get back. Donât pass out.â
You make a noise to let her know you heard her. Did you make a new friend? You think so.
Youâre still a bit disoriented from the lack of sleep. You only made it a few steps down the hall before forgetting the direction she told you to go. Great.
This hallway seemed horribly long. The more you walked, the more you felt like it extended somehow. You need a nap, but you donât think youâre going to get it until retiring back to your hotel room.
A group of men dressed in what seems to be tactical clothes are sitting around nearby, and you find yourself approaching them in a sudden spur of confidence. Itâs probably because youâre tired.
âExcuse me,â you call. All three of them look at you with curious looks, and you feel like you could just up and die right there.
Doesnât exactly help that theyâre all kind of attractive, either.
âWhere can I get some water? It feels like Iâm dying here.â You ask, using your hand to rub the side of your face.
To them, you looked like you had just completed a damn marathon run. One of them with short brown hair whispers something to another with half-blonde, half-black hair, and you look between them curiously.
You donât have time for whispers. You want water. It makes you think about purposely passing out in front of them. Rude and manipulative, sure, but youâre not here to gossip!
The other one speaks up to you instead. Heâs also got long hair, but you think the most noticeable thing was his sleeve tattoo. You may have been staring too long because he snapped his fingers to get your attention.
At least he wasnât glaring at you. There was a handsome smile on his face. âYou there? Donât tell me weâve lost you already. You just got here.â
âSorry. Iâm really tired.â You admit. âReally, REALLY tired. Water would be nice.â
âTo your left,â He says. âShould be one over there.â
The exasperation in your voice is ever present when you say: âThank you!â. Youâre dying here. Youâll have to come back and thank your only savior after replenishing yourself. Turning away, you head in the direction he told you.
You donât hear the snickering behind you as you leave. Too busy thinking about hydration at this point.
Going further down, you see that there still is no water cooler. Youâre only met with a dead end, and though there are doors, the signs only tell you that theyâre just control rooms.
Youâre confused. Why would he send you that way? You turn around and head back the way you came as it mustâve been an honest mistake.
You see them still sitting there with smiles. âHey, excuse me,â you call, waving your hand. âThereâs no water over there. Are you sure itâs that way?â
âWe know.â The man who gave you instruction earlier had said. âWe just wanted to mess with you a bit. Go that way.â First day on the job and people are already trying to rib you? Goddamn it.
On the bright side, it seemed to be lighthearted. Or so you hope.
This time, you hope, he points the correct way. The only thing you can do is let out a sigh and move forward. You donât even stay to listen to anything else he says.
"Don't take it to heart!" One of them yells behind you.
You scoff to yourself. This time, they redeemed themselves because you found that lovely water cooler. You immediately pick up the pace and reach out to snatch a cup.
Finally, cold water. You're sure you'll wake up this time. You're almost half tempted to pour some on your face, but you aren't THAT unhinged. Besides, you donât want to waste it.
The moment you lift your cup and and take a refreshing sip, someone saying âheyâ makes you look over, and you nearly spit your drink out.
The guy that had given you the wrong direction had come around. You cough up bits of water, holding a hand on your chest. âWhy?! God, you scared the hell out of me!â
âSorry.â He apologizes. Youâre not so sure if itâs sincere. âStephanie McMahon told me about you. Youâre [Name], right?â
It takes you a second to reply and he looks at you expectantly. You hold your hand up. âUh, yeah. Yeah, thatâs me.â You nod.
âRoman,â He introduced himself back, setting his hands on the vest of his tactical gear. âI know itâs your first day and all, but do you know whoâs in charge?â
ââŚ.Vince McMahon?â You offer with a shrug.
Roman chuckles, shaking his head. âYou were close. But thatâs not it. The Authority is the one in charge.â He clarifies to you. âAnd youâd best be on their side. Tell me, new girl. Do you plan to be on the side of justice?â
Truth be told, youâre a little intimidated. Again.
You wonder if you even had a choice right now. Before you answer him you decide to take a sip of water, this time, without coughing up a lung.
âJustice, what do you mean by that?â
âThe Authority is seeking to make sure that everyone keeps in line.â He explains. âWeâve already got a hold on the menâs division, but the womenâs divisionâŚ.â
He trails off, looking toward you expectantly.
âIâm just an interviewer.â You hold your hands up in defense. âI donât know anything about wrestling. Like anything.â
A lie, but you donât exactly want to get involved.
You thought it felt weird to call yourself an interviewer, but now youâre going to hold onto that title until itâs convenient enough for youâŚ.
âDonât give me that crap. I know exactly what you are.â So much for that. Roman gets closer to you and you move back just a little. It doesnât do much, because heâs still in your space.
Youâre starting to feel cornered.
âAnd what I donât appreciate is people lying to me. Listen, [Name]. Pretty girls like you are always smart. If you knew whatâs good for you, youâd betterââ
âHey guys!â A new voice makes you look over Roman. âRomanâŚandâŚ.whoâs this?â He points a finger over to you.
â[Name].â You say. This guy might be your potential savior.
He doesnât really pester any further than that, oddly enough. âCool. You guys wanna take a selfie?â Before you two could even answer, heâs already approaching with a phone in hand.
âWait,â You try to stop him. âIâm not readyââ
All Roman does was glare at the camera while you were holding out your hand toward it. Heâs already took it and you were caught in the worst off guard moment.
âYou guys better get ready for Raw. It starts in like five minutes.â The man recommends. âThanks for the selfie.â
He saunters off and Roman shakes his head. After the stranger had made some distance, he finally speaks to you. âI canât stand Theoryâs dumbass.â
âTheory?â You repeat. âWho?â
âAustin Theory.â He clarifies. âWonât stop taking those stupid selfies. Itâs all the goddamn time.â
You slowly nod, but take advantage of the fact Austin had said thereâs only five minutes until Raw starts. âGosh. This was such a nice meeting, but I had better get going. You know, interviews and stuff to do.â
Roman says nothing, so you take the opportunity to side-step and walk past him. However, he doesnât let you get far before sayingâŚ
âBetter think about what I said. You donât have much time.â
Youâre hoping that wasnât a threat. And now that you think about it?
He didnât even apologize for leading you the wrong way!
You were just trying to get ready to be on television. You did everything you could to stand out for your debut, despite some people knowing that youâd show up sometime.
You can only imagine the pre-show talks around on social media. God, you hope you werenât sweating. You think youâre just overreacting, but you feel like youâre gonna cry.
If you werenât awake before, you sure are now.
Your phone starts buzzing again on the vanity you were seated at. The stylist who was helping you get things together had stepped away earlier, leaving you be with your thoughts.
Until now. The moment you pick up your phone and open Twitter, you groan.
Roman was right about the selfies being stupid.
Austin had posted it on Twitter. The only thing youâre really focused on is yourself. You look a disheveled mess and youâre happy you could fix yourself up a little bit right now.
Youâre reeling as you read some of the responses. Although, some were funnier than othersâŚ
@Theory_1 â
Roman and some new girl are here today! I caught them in their natural habitat.

@annsweet_: OMG FREE HER???? WHY DOES SHE LOOK SCARED LMAO
âł @Lilgrab$78: Nah fr they holding her hostage in there
@Biilionnsmind: Are you serious? [Name] Theory AND Roman? This has gotta be the multiverse
âł @YourChampion0: Not gonna lie they might be an item. Guess weâll see if they have something going on or they just were filming something.
@bellstrings: Wait not too much on [Name]âŚface card is still ACTIVE and ready to TAP!
Along those lines of being mentioned, Austin had followed you as well. But seeing yourself being the talk of others is just surreal. Youâre happy about it.
âHey, [Name].â A stagehand calls. âYouâre on in about 2 minutes. Youâll be interviewing Sasha Banks. Itâs the only person youâll be doing, so youâre free to go home after.â
Alright then. You hop up out of your seat. You looked good enough, so you didnât exactly need that stylist to come back. Your time to shine.
You let the stagehand lead the way to where youâre supposed to be positioned. Itâs a nice set up, you think. Thereâs a red curtain behind you as well as a television settled with âRawâ displayed on it.
âSasha lost because of interference.â The stagehand informs you. âSheâll go on about the details. But just ask her some questions. She should be here any second now.â
Youâll try. The camera is already settled in front of you, waiting for the go ahead. As soon as he said that, Sasha comes storming into the room. He signals toward the both of you that heâs rolling.
âWow, Sasha..!â You exclaim, shaking your head. âThat was definitelyâŚâŚa match.â
Sasha looks at you with a scowl. âYou think?! Becky only got lucky because AJ came out all peppy. I almost had her.â She complains. âI had Becky in the Bank Statement. She was about to tapâŚâ
She literally has to stop talking and take a breath before she loses it. Everyone, even the crowd, can tell that sheâs STEAMING.
ââŚUh, do you think youâll need help in the future for AJ? It looks like sheâs posing a really big threat to you.â You say. âCauseâ if youâre asking me, it looks like you may need a future tag partner.â
Youâre going steady, despite the fact your hand may or may not be shaking a bit. Youâre just glad that this segment wasnât out in the ring. You tilt the mic over to Sasha.
All you had to do was pretend like the camera wasnât there and that you were having a simple conversation. Everythingâs just fine.
You had hoped she would understand that you were insinuating that you could be of assistance, but she takes it the wrong way.
âWhat, you think Iâm not good enough?â She challenges, stepping closer to you. âYou think I canât beat AJ on my own? Sheâs the one that needs help. Thatâs why she gets Tamina to do her dirty work. Let me remind you that Iâm Sasha Banks. I was the NXT Womenâs Champion. The Boss can handle herself in battle and she damn sure doesnât need someone thatâs gonna hold her back.â
âI get it, jeez. I was trying to help you, Sasha.â You explain. It might be a chance to get you active in the ring.
âArenât you supposed to be doing your job and asking me questions? I donât need your help.â She fires back.
Whatever. You just shrug it off. âFine. You want questions, Iâll give you questions. You tagged me on Twitter. When you tagged me on Twitter, was that you trying to put me on notice?â
Itâs easy for her to bounce off of what you said.
âYou clearly act like you have no idea who I am. Maybe now youâll get a clue. As a matter of fact, you better leave that fake little sweet innocent act at the door, cause I see right through you.â
âWhat act? Iâm just being me.â Itâs true. You really are!
âRight, and Becky must be the best wrestler on the planetâŚhah! Thatâs hilarious even thinking about it.â Sasha falls into a laugh, and you fight the urge to smile at her contagious laugh. Instead, you wipe it off in order to look confused.
She takes a breath. âYou know what? You wanna help me, prove it to me. You and me, a match next Monday. I know that youâre not gonna do well, but Iâll have fun destroying you anyways, rookie.â
This was your chance!! You canât fight the excitement, so you immediately agree. âYes! I mean, yeah. Absolutely. Itâs a match, Sasha. Shake on it?â
You offer your free hand to her. Despite her gritting her teeth, she takes it.
Sasha thinks youâre too excited, but sheâd be lying if she wasnât curious to see how youâd fare against her.
Your first match is against Sasha Banks. Thinking about it seemed so surreal. Youâve got a lot to prepare for next Monday.
Sashaâs eyes seem to catch onto something behind you and she groans, snatching her hand back. âNot herââ
âI wasnât expecting you here, Sasha!â Thereâs a woman whoâs slightly shorter than you that comes over with a championship tucked over her arm. This mustâve been the Divas championship, if the words on the butterfly werenât evident enough.
âYou know, not after you lost. Thought you wouldâve went home by now!â She holds onto it even tighter once Sasha gave her a nasty look.
âYou must be AJ Lee?â You try to divert some of the tension. âItâs nice to see the divas champion face to face.â
Sasha gags, but AJ giggles at your words. She rubs a hand over the butterfly, looking at you. âOh pssssh, this? Itâs nothing majorâŚit just means Iâm the best, but seriously, nothing major. Oh, and Sasha? Sorry Tamina made you lose focusâŚno hard feelings?â
Sasha rears her fist back and you immediately try to jump in the middle of them. Mightâve been a dumb decision, but it made Sasha immediately freeze once you did. Youâre not even sure if AJ flinched.
Youâre planted firmly in between them without any plans of moving anytime soon. âWoah, woah woah, can we hold off on the fighting PLEASE?! Why donât you guys settle it in the ring, just like me and Sasha are?â
âYou guysâŚâ AJ looks between you two. ââŚare wrestling each other? Huh.â
You nod at her. âYeah. I think you should follow suit. Itâs obvious you two have problems.â
âWell, youâre right. Itâs not like canât beat you again, Sasha!â AJ chimes. âAnyway, Iâm going to go polish my title! Donât wait up for me, ladies!â
And just like that, AJ skips off. Sasha slowly turns to look at you and the only thing you can do is look back at her.
âI donât care,â She starts, pointing a finger at you. âYouâre helping in whatever happens, rookie.â
âWhat?! Why me??â You whine. âThis isnât my issue, the only thing Iâm worried about is our match.â
As sheâs said earlier, she doesnât care. âYou heard me. All youâve gotta do is be ready. When I tell you to do something, you go.â
She leaves you with that. An exasperated sigh falls from your lips.
Youâve got more than just your match to worry about now..

a/n: guess who finally decied to update this!! I promise I haven't discontinued this lol. I just had writers block. hope ya'll enjoy this chapter!!
Over the next few days, the tension between the Bloodline was palpable. Roman's mistrust had cast a shadow over the group, creating an atmosphere thick with unease. The fallout from the incident on live television had repercussions that extended beyond personal relationships. The dynamics within the Bloodline were shifting, and everyone could feel it.
You and Jey didn't get into arguments, because you simply didn't talk to each other unless absolutely necessary. You wanted a man, not someone who would question your loyalty at every turn.
And Jey seemed to be keeping his distance as well, perhaps feeling guilty for his actions or simply trying to avoid further conflict, but also because when he did try to apologize, you would cut him off, unwilling to entertain excuses.
He lost to Sheamus due to interference tonight, and Roman and him had an argument that did not end well, and that made him even more unwilling to talk to you. The wounds were still fresh, and you needed time to heal.
Sami had lost against Kevin after Jey aired out your relaitonship issued on TV due to Jimmy, Jey, and Solo interfering right before he was about to win, courtesy of Roman's orders. He wanted to test the loyalty of the members, and unfortunately, Sami became a victim of that power play. The loss left a bitter taste, not just for Sami, but for the entire group.
Sami was rightfully angry, but he understood the complex dynamics at play within the Bloodline. Loyalty, power struggles, and the constant need to prove oneself were all part of the game. The internal strife within the Bloodline was becoming more evident with each passing day.
Trinity- one of your closest friends- visited to check on her husband Jimmy, but when she found the state you were in, she forced you to get out of your room to have a girls night with the rest of your friends.
As much as you wanted to wallow in the emotional turmoil, Trinity's insistence broke through the walls you had built around yourself. She brought you shopping with Liv and Mercedes, trying to distract you from the tension and drama. The four of you had mani-pedis, did your hair, makeup, and were now currently at a bar in the city, attempting to have a moment of reprieve from the chaos that had consumed the Bloodline.
"Girl, you look so fucking gorgeous tonight!" Liv gushed over your new look, giving you a playful nudge. You were wearing a stunning outfit that Trinity helped you pick out, your makeup impeccably done, and your hair styled to perfection. The girls had succeeded in creating a diversion from the heavy atmosphere that surrounded the Bloodline.
You gave Liv a smile, but it didn't quite reach your eyes. She noticed this and wrapped an arm around your shoulder. "You guys didn't have to go through all this trouble for me," you said, your voice filled with gratitude.
Liv squeezed your shoulder gently, her eyes filled with warmth and understanding. "Don't you dare apologize for needing a distraction, Y/N," Liv interrupted, her tone firm but gentle. "We're here because we love you, and we want to see you smile again."
"We miss seeing you happy," Mercedes chimed in, her voice soft but earnest. "You've been carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders for too long, Y/N. Tonight, let us carry it for you."
Your heart swelled with gratitude for your friends' unwavering support, even in the midst of your emotional turmoil. Despite your initial resistance, their persistence began to chip away at the walls you had erected around yourself. Trinity, sensing the heaviness lingering within you, leaned in closer, her expression filled with empathy.
"You are not allowed to be sad no more." Trinity declared, her tone leaving no room for argument. "Tonight, we're going to dance, laugh, and the only worry you'll have is what drink your'e gonna get next. Capiche?"
You couldn't help but chuckle at Trinity's determined attitude, feeling a flicker of amusement amidst the heaviness in your heart. "Yes, ma'am," you replied, a hint of playfulness in your voice.
And not worry you guys did. You didn't remember how many drinks you all had, but what you did know was that you were throwing back on Liv as the two of you danced on the crowded dance floor. The music thumped loudly, drowning out the worries and tensions that had gripped the Bloodline. In that moment, surrounded by the pulsating beats and colorful lights, you allowed yourself to let loose, to forget the troubles waiting outside the confines of the bar.
Liv twirled you around, both of you laughing as you moved in sync with the rhythm. You left your phone with Trinity and Mercedes, who were watching with amused grins from a nearby table as Liv threw her ass back on you, the two of you lost in the music.
What you didn't know was that your phone was innecstantly ringing with multiple missed calls from Jey. He had been trying to reach out to you, perhaps with the intention of apologizing or sorting things out. However, in the midst of the lively atmosphere and the distraction provided by your friends, you remained blissfully unaware of the attempts to contact you.
Actually, you had missed calls from all of the guys. You⌠might have snuck away from the hotel without telling anywone where you and Trinity had gone, with the exception of Solo (because Solo was Solo and responsible and reliable when it came to keeping secrets).
Mercedes, feeling a bit too drunk and empowered to get revenge for Jey embarrassing you on TV, grabbed your phone, scrolling through the notifications and messages. Trinity noticed the smirk on her face and leaned over to see what she was up to.
"Girl, you real messy." Trinity cackled at Mercedes' mischievous expression. "What are you planning?"
Mercedes chuckled, holding up your phone. "Just a little payback for our girl here." She showed her the messages from Jey that read
"Y/N, where are you? We need to talk. Please pick up." "I messed up, babe. Just let me explain. Where are you?" "Seriously, answer your damn phone. I need to fix this." "Y/N, come on. Don't do this. Let's talk. I miss you."
Trinity raised an eyebrow, looking at Mercedes with a smirk. "What you gon' do?"
Mercedes smirked back, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, just gonna a little something to keep him on his toes." She quickly typed a response:
"Sorry, wrong number. I'm having a great time without you. Maybe you should learn to trust me for once."
Before posting some pics on Instagram of the four of you having the time of your life, making sure to send the one with your friends looking stunning and happy, emphasizing the fact that you were not alone and clearly enjoying yourself, and making sure to 'accidentally' tag Jey.
Mercedes showed Trinity the response, and they both burst into laughter. "Damn, girl! That's cold, but he kinda deserves it.
Mercedes winked, enjoying the mischief. "He'll survive. Maybe this will teach him a lesson." The two of them clinked glasses, before drinking the night away, reveling in the freedom of the moment.

You came back with you and Liv wrapped in each other's arms, buzzed and full of laughter. The night had been a much-needed escape, and you felt a sense of relief and lightness that had been absent for days. As you approached the table where Trinity and Mercedes sat, you noticed their mischievous grins and exchanged curious glances.
"What are you two up to?" you asked, still swaying slightly to the rhythm of the music.
Trinity and Mercedes shared a glance before bursting into laughter. Mercedes handed you back your phone, and you saw the exchanged messages with Jey, along with the pictures showcasing the fun you were having.
"Oh my god, you guys!" you exclaimed, a mix of surprise and amusement on your face. "That's⌠that's something."
Trinity leaned in with a sly grin. "Consider it payback for the drama he put you through on TV. He needs to learn a lesson in trust."
You couldn't help but join in their laughter. It was a playful revenge, and for the moment, it felt satisfying to turn the tables, even if just a little. the tables, even if just a little. The night continued with more dancing, laughter, and the occasional cheeky glance at your phone to see if there were any more messages from Jey or the others.
As the hours passed, the drinks kept flowing, and the atmosphere became more carefree. You felt a little bit more than buzzed, which opened the conversation to more personal topics. Trinity, being the perceptive friend she was, looked at you with a knowing smile.
"Okay princess, only took a few drinks to finally get the old you." Trinity teased, nudging you playfully.
"What do you mean?" You asked, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension at Trinity's knowing smile.
Trinity chuckled, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, come on, Y/N. You know exactly what I mean. When's the last time we even talked without you being wrapped up in your own head or stressing over Bloodline drama?"
You couldn't help but chuckle at Trinity's blunt assessment. She had a way of cutting through the facade and getting straight to the point. "Fair point," you admitted, taking a sip of your drink. "I guess I've been a little⌠preoccupied lately."
Mercedes raised a brow, her expression thoughtful. "Preoccupied is an understatement, honey. You've been practically living and breathing the Bloodline drama. You barely even remembered how to relax and have fun until tonight."
Liv leaned against your shoulder, her voice gentle but firm. "Babe, she's right. We missed you, and you are just starting to come back to yourself again. We've all noticed how much you've been carrying on your shoulders lately. It's like you forgot how to be yourself outside of the Bloodline."
You sighed, feeling a pang of guilt wash over you. They were right, of course. The weight of the Bloodline had consumed your thoughts and emotions, leaving little room for anything else. "I know," you admitted, your voice tinged with regret. "I guess I just⌠I don't know how to balance it all anymore."
Trinity felt a pang of sympathy seeing you struggle with the weight of your responsibilities. She reached out, placing a comforting hand on your arm. She knew how Roman could be, how he had a way of consuming the lives of those around him with his ambitions and demands.
You saw all 3 of your friends exchange a look with each other, and you furrowed your brow, curious about the silent communication passing between them.
Mercedes took a deep breath, her gaze steady as she met your eyes. "Y/N, we love you, and we've always supported your career and your dreams. But⌠maybe it's time to start thinking about what you want for yourself, outside of the Bloodline."
Your eyes widened in surprise at Mercedes' words. It was a sentiment you had heard before, but coming from your closest friends, it held a different weight. "What do you mean?" you asked, your voice tinged with uncertainty.
Trinity nodded, her expression serious yet gentle. "Look, tonight was the first time in almost 2 years that you allowed yourself to let go and have fun without worrying about the Bloodline. And look at how happy you were," she pointed out, gesturing to your beaming smile. "You deserve to have more moments like this, Y/N. Moments where you can just be yourself, free from the weight of expectations and obligations."
Your eyes were slightly glassy as Trinity's words sank in, stirring up a whirlwind of emotions within you. For so long, you had been conditioned to prioritize the Bloodline above all else, to suppress your own desires and aspirations in service to Roman's ambitions. You didnt realize how you were acting: this depressed, closed-off version of yourself wasn't the real you. And it took the perspective of your friends to make you see it.
"I⌠I don't know how to do that," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. The idea of breaking away from the Bloodline, of pursuing your own happiness and fulfillment, felt simultaneously exhilarating and terrifying.
Liv wrapped an arm around your shoulder, offering you a reassuring squeeze. "It's just that, seeing you with this little spark in your eyes again, Y/N," she said, her voice soft and encouraging. "It's like⌠you've been hiding behind this facade for so long, and tonight, it feels like you're finally starting to break free from it." Ever since you started hanging out with Sami while you and Jey were on tough terms, is what Liv wanted to say, but she refrained from bringing up Sami's name, sensing that it might complicate the conversation.
Trinity nodded in agreement, her expression filled with determination. "We're not saying you have to leave the Bloodline, Y/N. We just want you to remember who you are outside of it. You deserve to pursue your own happiness, whatever that may look like."
Mercedes slid you a fruity drink that she knew would help you relax, offering you a comforting smile. "And it starts with this. Drink up, babe. Tonight, we celebrate you. Tomorrow, we start figuring out what comes next."
You took the drink from Mercedes, feeling a mix of gratitude and apprehension swirling within you. It was a daunting prospect, to consider carving out a life for yourself outside of the Bloodline. But as you looked around at your friends, their unwavering support shining in their eyes, you felt a flicker of hope stirring within you.
"Okay," you said, a tentative smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Okay, let's do this."
And with that, you raised your glass in a silent toast to the future, to the possibility of rediscovering yourself and finding happiness beyond the confines of the Bloodline. As the music pulsed around you and laughter filled the air, you allowed yourself to believe that maybe, just maybe, there was a brighter path waiting for you on the other side.
Could you really see a path without Roman, or better yet, without Jey? (Or Sami, for that matter?)
"So, spill the tea, Y/N. What's going on between you and Jey? And don't give me the 'it's complicated' nonsense. I want details." Trinity asked after the four of you were considerably drunk, and lounging in the celebrity area of the bar, gossiping about your lives.
Liv had started a farm with her boyfriend, Mercedes was going to Stardom and walking fashion shows, and Trinity was killing it in Impact and telling hot stories from Impact's locker room. Unbeknownst to you, your phone kept going off with calls and messages, but Mercedes made sure to turn it off and make you promise to keep it locked in your pocked for the rest of the night.
You sighed, feeling a mix of emotions. The alcohol had certainly loosened your inhibitions, and you decided to share a bit of the turmoil you'd been experiencing.
"It's just⌠he's been jealous of Sami ever since he's tried to join the Bloodline. And I honestly don't even know why he's jealous. It's not like there's anything between Sami and me. Jey's just letting Roman's expectations mess with his head, and it's affecting us. I can't deal with the constant questioning and doubt." You poured another round of drinks for the table, needing the liquid courage to open up further.
Mercedes sipped her drinking, deciding whether or not to ask you her question. You saw the look on her face and raised an eyebrow, prompting her to go ahead.
"You and Sami do have some history, though, right?" Mercedes asked, her tone careful. "I mean, there's gotta be a reason Jey's so worked up about it."
You nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, we do have history. We were close friends before he even joined WWE. But it's just that â history. Sami and I have always been just friends. And yeah sure, Sami did kiss me-"
"Huh?"
"Girl!?"
"What?!"
You sighed as all three women reacted to your revelation, their expressions a mix of shock and curiosity. The music continued to pulse in the background, creating a surreal backdrop to the unfolding conversation.
Liv was the first to respond, her eyes wide. "Wait, Sami kissed you? And you're wondering why Jey is so worked up?"
You nodded, feeling a bit exposed but also relieved to finally share this part of your past with your friends. "I know, I know! But hear me outâŚ"
"This better be good," Trinity chimed in, her eyes focused on you as she took a sip of her drink.
You took another deep breath before continuing. "It happened a while ago. Sami was going through a tough time, and in a moment of vulnerability, he kissed me. I immediately made it clear that we were just friends, and nothing more ever happened between us. Jey knows about it, and he knows it wasn't something I reciprocated. But for some reason, he can't seem to let it go."
Mercedes leaned back, processing the information. "And did Sami ever apologize for that? Or clarify things with Jey?"
You sighed, a mix of frustration and understanding in your voice. "Yeah, he did. Sami apologized to both of us, and he made it clear that it was a mistake on his part. But Jey⌠I don't know. It's like he's holding onto it as this big betrayal, and it's driving a wedge between us."
Trinity shook her head, a disapproving look on her face. "That's on Jey, then. If Sami owned up to his mistake and you've made it clear where you stand, Jey needs to get over it. It's not fair to keep bringing it up and using it against you."
Liv, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke up. "I get where Jey is coming from, but if he's still bitching about something that happened in the past, especially when both you and Sami have clarified it, then it's a problem. He needs to move past it and open up about it and stop holding onto resentment or you need to boot his ass to the curb. You don't deserve to be constantly questioned and doubted, especially if you've been honest and upfront about everything."
You appreciated the support from your friends. The alcohol, the dancing, and the candid conversation were all contributing to a sense of liberation. You felt a weight lifting off your shoulders, and for the first time in days, you could see a way forward.
"You guys are right," you admitted, a determined glint in your eyes.
"We are always right." Mercedes added with a playful smirk, and the four of you burst into laughter again.
"But⌠do you have feelings for Sami?" Trinity asked, her expression serious as she looked into your eyes.
You hesitated for a moment, contemplating your feelings. The atmosphere in the bar, the support from your friends, and the alcohol-induced courage encouraged you to be honest.
"I⌠no." You couldn't lie to yourself, and the honesty spilled out. "We used to be close. But we realized we're better off as friends. I care about him a lot, but I don't have romantic feelings for him anymore. Jey knows this, or at least he should." Even through the alcohol induced haze, you knew better than to reveal such personal details without some level of caution. There were things about your relationship with Sami that no one would know, and you weren't ready to share those intricacies.
Trinity nodded, seeming satisfied with your response. "Well, as long as you're clear about your feelings, and you've communicated that to Jey, he needs to respect it. If he can't trust you and let go of the past, then it's his loss."
Mercedes squeezed your hand, her touch conveying solidarity. "Exactly. You deserve someone who trusts and respects you. If Jey can't provide that, then maybe Sami is right, and he doesn't fully understand what he has."
You took a swing of is right, and your drink, appreciating the wisdom and support from your friends. The night had turned into more than just a distraction; it became a catalyst for clarity and self-realization.
"Thanks, guys," you said, your voice sincere. "I needed this. I needed to step back and see things more clearly. And you're right. If Jey can't trust me and keeps holding onto the past, then maybe it's time for a serious conversation or a decision."
Liv grinned, giving you a playful nudge. "That's the spirit! You're a badass, and you deserve someone who sees that and appreciates it."
Trinity raised her glass, a smile on her lips. "To badass women who know their worth and aren't afraid to demand the respect they deserve."
The four of you clinked your glasses together, the sound echoing in the bustling bar. In that moment, surrounded by the support and love of your friends, you felt empowered and ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Unbenwonst to you you accidentally dialed Sami's umber while fumbling with your phone. The loud music and the lively atmosphere of the bar made it difficult to notice the call connecting. As your friends continued to share laughs and words of encouragement, your phone rested on the table, unknowingly broadcasting the sounds of the bar to Sami.
On the other end of the line, Sami's phone rested on a table in his hotel room. He had been going through a mental replay of the match against Kevin and the events leading up to it. The tension within the Bloodline was palpable, and Sami couldn't shake the frustration of being used as a pawn in Roman's power play.
Suddenly, he heard the familiar sounds of a bustling bar, laughter, and clinking glasses. Confused, he picked up his phone, noticing the ongoing call with you. He brought the device closer, listening intently.
At first, he wasn't sure what he was hearing, but as the background noise became clearer, he realized he was unintentionally eavesdropping on your conversation with your friends. Sami's curiosity got the better of him, and he hesitated for a moment before deciding to continue listening.
"You and Sami are real close⌠huh?" Liv's teasing voice echoed through the phone, and Sami's eyebrows furrowed as he focused on the conversation.
You let out an airy giggle, taking another shot and letting the alcohol fuel your candidness. "Yeah, we were." Sami heard something shift before he heard Liv's voice again. "No offense but the two of ya'll seemed perfect for each other. What happened?"
Sami's heart skipped a beat, his mind racing as he continued to eavesdrop unintentionally. The revelation about your history with him was unexpected, and he couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions.
You sighed, the alcohol loosening your tongue. "You promise not to tell anyone? Not even Trin or Cedes?" It seemed like Trinity and Mercedes weren't aware of the details you were about to share, and Sami's curiosity intensified.
"Cross my heart," Liv assured, her tone serious.
You took a deep breath, the honesty pouring out. "We dated. It was way before I even met Jey. Everyone kept telling us we had chemistry and that we should give it a shot. He confessed after I won the ROH title, I gave him a shot, and one thing led to another."
"And then what happened, girl?!?"
A pause. And then you continued.
"Then in the morning, we started dating. We took it slow, and everything was fine. But then Kevin got in his head when they were feuding. Told him that he needed to focus on his career and that being with me was a distraction. Sami started questioning what we had, and got insecure about it. I tried to assure him, but he started pulling away. Eventually, we both realized it wasn't working, and I broke it off with him." It seemed like there was more you wanted to say, but you bit your lip and refrained from spilling even more.
You took a sip of your drink, and there was a moment of silence on the other end of the line. Sami's mind was racing, processing the unexpected revelation. The raw honesty in your voice sent a wave of emotions through him, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for the way things had unfolded between you two, but grateful that you hadn't revealed the full truth.
"But then we kept having the same chemistry, and he would look at me like he couldn't resist me, and I couldn't resist him either. It became this on-again, off-again thing for a while, and it was messing with my head. I cared about him a lot, but it was so damn complicated. But we stayed best friends, and then I left him behind for the Bloodline⌠and now Jey has this insecurity about Sami because of Roman's expectations," you continued, your voice carrying the weight of the past.
On the other end of the line, Sami's mind was a whirlwind of emotions. Guilt, regret, and a tinge of sadness gripped him as he listened to your candid confession. The history you shared with him suddenly unfolded in a way he hadn't fully understood before.
"And now, Jey can't seem to let go of the fact that Sami kissed me once. Even though we've moved past that, he keeps bringing it up!" Your voice broke out into a cry, and he imagined that Liv was giving you comforting words, trying to soothe the emotional turmoil you were experiencing.
"Shh, it's okay," Liv's voice came through the phone, offering comfort.
"I⌠I loved him, Liv." He heard Liv whispering words of support and understanding. "But he left me!"
"And now you need to focus on you, on what makes you happy, and on what you deserve," Liv replied, her voice filled with conviction. "You're a strong, independent woman, Y/N, and you don't need anyone who doesn't see your worth."
He heard your sniffles and the distant sounds of the bar, realizing that he was intruding on an intimate and vulnerable moment." Let's get back to the table, enjoy the night, and deal with all of this tomorrow when we're not drowning in alcohol and emotions, okay babe?"
As Liv led you back to the table, the background noise shifted, and Sami could hear the muffled voices of Trinity and Mercedes. The conversation continued, but he made a conscious decision to end the unintentional eavesdropping. Sami hesitated for a moment, then pressed the button to end the call, setting his phone down on the table.
Did you really love Sami once upon a time? A part of Sami felt a mix of emotionsâsurprise, regret, and a sense of longing. The raw honesty in your voice had stirred something within him, and he found himself grappling with the realization that your history ran deeper than he had initially understood.
He looked at his phone, where Jey was messaging him.
"Sami, I know yo dumbass knows where she is. Tell me."
Sami's eyes narrowed as he read Jey's messages. The tension within the Bloodline seemed to be reaching new heights, and he found himself caught in the middle of it all. Sami debated how to respond, considering the newfound insights he unintentionally gained into your past with him.
He hesitated before sending the message, aware that his words might not sit well with Jey. Sami couldn't shake the sense of responsibility he felt toward you, knowing that you deserved better than the constant questioning and doubts. Yet, he also understood the complex dynamics within the Bloodline and the potential repercussions of taking sides.
What did he want to do? He wanted to be the guy for you. The guy that understood you, supported you, and cherished you. He wanted to hold your hand through the turmoil, be the one you turned to in moments of vulnerability, and prove that he could be the pillar of support you needed. But he fucked up, and he needed to face the consequences. He wasn't glad you didn't tell Liv the full extent of your history with him.
Taking a deep breath, Sami typed a response to Jey.
"I don't know where she is, Jey. Maybe you should give her some space. It's not my place to meddle in your relationship. You're the one who said I need to stay out of your business, so that's what I am gonna do.Good luck finding her."
The tension within the Bloodline had reached a boiling point, and Sami couldn't ignore the weight of the decisions and revelations that had unfolded. His mind was a swirl of conflicting emotions â regret, guilt, longing, and a sense of responsibility for how this all went down.
Then he shut off his phone, and prayed that he could get over you. Sami needed to talk to you, to clarify his own feelings and perhaps offer support if you were ready to accept it, but it wouldn't be tonight.Â
Then he went to sleep, and hoped that he made the right decision.Â
You were wobbling on your heels of your shoes as you walked back into the hotel lobby. The four of you had gotten an uber, and they said bye to you with hugs, kisses and smiles, heading their separate ways for the night. The vibrant energy of the bar and the support of your friends had provided a temporary escape, but now reality was seeping back in.
As you entered the hotel elevator, and went up to your floor, you couldn't shake off the mix of emotions swirling within you. The alcohol-induced courage that allowed you to open up to your friends about your relationship struggles was now replaced with a sense of vulnerability.
The elevator doors opened, and you stumbled slightly as you made your way down the hallway to your room. The weight of the revelations and the emotional rollercoaster of the night began to take its toll.
You fumbled with the key card, but it beeped, indicating that it wans't working. You huffed as you tried again and again, but it wouldn't budge.
It wasn't until the 5th time you tried that the door swung open, and you almost fell had it not been for the arms that caught you just in time. A familiar voice spoke, filled with concern.
"Y/N, what are you doing? Easy there," Sami's voice was a steady presence, and his arms wrapped around you to steady you. The scent of his cologne and the warmth of his embrace felt both comforting and disorienting.
You looked up, your eyes meeting Sami's. The dim light in the hallway highlighted the worry etched on his face. His arms steadied you as you regained your balance.
"S-Sami?" you stammered, surprised by his sudden appearance. Your vision was a bit blurry, and the alcohol had made you more unsteady on your feet than you realized.
"Yeah, it's me," he replied, guiding you into the room and closing the door behind you. The dim lighting in the hotel room revealed the aftermath of your earlier emotional journey â makeup smuged, and your hair was slightly tousled from the night's activities. Sami led you to the bed, helping you sit down.
"Are you okay?" he asked, genuine concern in his eyes.
"Is this not my room?" you mumbled, still a bit disoriented.
Sami chuckled softly, his fingers gently brushing strands of hair away from your face. "No, it's not. The constant beeping in my room woke me up, and when I opened the door, I found you struggling with your key card."
You let out a small giggle, the alcohol still affecting your senses. "Oops. My bad."
Sami shook his head at your antics, a fond smile playing on his lips. You looked at him and could see the tiredness on his face, and your expression changed from giggly to serious in less than a second. "I-Im sorry that I woke you up!" Tears formed in your eyes as you felt a rush of emotions. The events of the night, the revelations, and the emotional rollercoaster had left you feeling vulnerable and raw.
Sami's heart dropped as he watched you cry, his concern deepening. He knelt down in front of you, his hand gently cupping your cheek.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. Don't cry." He said softly, his voice filled with reassurance. He wiped away a tear with his thumb, his touch gentle against your skin. The vulnerability in your eyes tugged at something within him, a mix of regret and the desire to offer comfort.
"I'm not mad that you woke me up. Are you okay?" Sami asked, his tone soft and caring.
You nodded, sniffing and wiping away more tears. "I just... it's been a lot tonight, you know? The girls and the drinks and... everything." The emotions that you had kept at bay for most of the night now threatened to overwhelm you. "Did Jey ask you where I was?"
Sami nodded, his expression serious. "Yeah, he did. He's worried about you."
You sighed, looking down at your hands. "I was just hanging with the girls, and-" You hiccuped- "To forget that me and Jey were fighting." Your eyes went teary again, and Sami's heart sank as he listened to your words. "But I just feel worse."Â
You peered up at him, and the tension between the two of you was palpable. Sami could sense the emotional turmoil within you, and a part of him longed to be the one to ease that pain. "Why does everyone keep questioning me? Why can't they just trust me?" you whispered, the vulnerability in your voice tearing at Sami's heart.
Sami sighed, his thumb gently tracing circles on your cheek. "People make mistakes, Y/N. Sometimes, they let their insecurities and doubts cloud their judgment. It's not a reflection of you. You're strong, and you deserve trust and respect."
You leaned into his touch, appreciating the comfort he offered. The emotional exhaustion of the night was catching up with you, and Sami's presence provided a sense of solace.
You started giggling, which made Sami smile in response. "What's so funny?" he asked, genuinely curious.
You wiped away another tear, chuckling softly. "Y'know, Liv asked me why Jey is so jealous of you, and I told her that *hiccup* we used to be real close, if you know what I mean." You looked at Sami with a tipsy grin, your words slightly slurred.
Sami's eyes widened slightly, surprised by your confession. The tipsy honesty in your words sent a shiver down Sami's spine. He wasn't prepared for this revelation, and the complexity of your history together suddenly became more apparent. He wondered how much Liv knew, how much she understood about the dynamics between you and him.
He remained silent, allowing you to continue. "And she told me that we seemed perfect for each other. And I started thinking, maybe we were. But then... Kevin got in your head, and you started questioning everything." You sighed, the alcohol making the words spill out more freely than you had intended.
Sami's expression shifted, a mix of regret and understanding. "I messed up, Y/N. I let the pressure get to me, and I let Kevin's words affect us. I should have trusted you."
You looked at him, your gaze sincere. "But you will always listen to Kevin, won't you? You'll always try not to hurt the people you care about, even if it means hurting yourself," you said, the alcohol making your words a bit more candid.
Sami sighed, his eyes meeting yours. "I made a mistake, and I let it affect our friendship. But that doesn't mean I'll always choose loyalty over the people I care about." He placed his hand on your shoulder, his touch gentle yet firm. "Loyalty means nothing when you 're hurting the ones you love. I've learned that the hard way."
You nodded, a mix of emotions swirling within you. You looked at Sami, your eyes searching his for sincerity. The vulnerability in Sami's eyes mirrored your own, and for a moment, the weight of the past seemed to hang between you two.
Unlike Jey, he made his loyalty clear, but not at the expense of hurting those he cared about. The stark contrast made you realize the complexities of the relationships within the Bloodline. Sami's admission struck a chord, and you could see the genuine remorse in his eyes.
"I told her about us, Sami. About everything. And how Jey is so hung up on that one kiss, and it's like... it's like it's haunting us. Like it's this dark cloud that won't go away," you confessed, your voice trembling.
You tugged on your dress strap, making sure it was still in place. Sami watched as you adjusted your dress, his eyes never leaving yours. The weight of your words lingered in the air, and Sami could sense the depth of the emotions you were experiencing. He remained silent, absorbing your confession and trying to find the right words to respond.
"I just don't know how to fix things anymore," you continued, your voice filled with a mix of frustration and sadness. The vulnerability in your eyes resonated with Sami, and he felt a strong desire to provide comfort and support.
Sami took a deep breath, his gaze unwavering. You felt your skin prickle with the intensity of his stare. "Start by talking to him. C'mon, I'll take you to your room, and tomorrow you can have an honest conversation with Jey. Lay everything out on the table, Y/N. The misunderstandings, the insecurities, the mistakes. If you both care about each other, you owe it to yourselves to try and find a way through this."
Sami's words were sincere, and you could sense the genuine concern in his eyes. Despite the complexities of your history, there was an underlying friendship that neither of you could deny. His advice resonated with you, and a sense of determination flickered within.
You nodded, wiping away the last of your tears. Sami extended a hand to you, offering support. You hesitated for a moment before taking his hand, and he helped you stand up.
The room swayed a bit, but Sami's steadying presence anchored you. He let you lean on him as he led you towards the door. The hallway lights blurred as you walked, and Sami kept a protective arm around you.
"Thanks, Sami," you said, your voice a bit more composed. "I appreciate your honesty and, well, being here."
Sami smiled warmly, his hand still on your shoulder. "Anytime, Y/N. Friends help each other through tough times." The word friend made his heart hurt, but he pushed aside his own feelings, focusing on being there for you in this moment of vulnerability.
As you reached your room, Sami stopped and faced you. "You got this, okay? Tomorrow is a new day, and you can work things out. Just be honest and true to yourself. He's a hothead, but he cares about you. Sometimes, he just needs things spelled out clearly."Â
He also knew Roman would have his head if you and Jey didn't work things out. He assigned his 'Honorary Uce' to look out for you, and Sami took that responsibility seriously.
You nodded, a small smile playing on your lips. "Thanks, Sami. I'll do my best."
Sami returned the smile, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "That's the spirit. Take care, okay?"
You smiled up at him, like the stars in the night sky were in his orbs, a mix of emotions twinkling in your eyes. The tension between you was as prominent as ever, and you could practically taste the anticipation in the air.Â
Sami was staring down at you, his gaze lingering for a moment longer than usual. The unspoken words hung between you two, a silent acknowledgment of the shared history and the emotions that had surfaced during this unexpected encounter.Â
"You're a really good friend, you know that?'" You smiled at him, the lingering words between you and Sami hanging in the air. The atmosphere shifted, and there was a palpable tension.
The alcohol made you way more honest, but you were aware that you should snap out of whatever was building between you and Sami. You needed to focus on resolving things with Jey, not getting entangled in another emotional web. Sami's eyes softened as he looked at you, a mixture of emotions playing on his face.
Sami cleared his throat, his expression becoming more guarded. "I try my best," he replied, his voice a bit quieter.
You gave him a small nod, still feeling the weight of the emotional exchange. "Well, goodnight, Sami. And thanks again," you said, stepping into your room.
"Goodnight, Y/N. Take care," Sami replied, offering a final reassuring smile before turning away and heading back to his room.
As you closed the door behind you, the events of the night swirled in your mind. The encounter with Sami added an unexpected layer to the already complex emotions you were dealing with. You took a deep breath, reminding yourself of Sami's advice to have an honest conversation with Jey. The challenges ahead seemed daunting, but with newfound determination, you were ready to face them.
Wargames was tomorrow, but you had never felt less prepared for the battles both inside and outside the ring. The emotional turmoil had taken a toll on you, and as you changed into more comfortable clothes, you couldn't help but replay the night's events in your mind.
Unbeknownst to you, Sami had run into Kevin in the hotel hallway as he made his way back to his room. He internally rolled his eyes at the sight of Kevin, a reminder of the tangled web of emotions and conflicts that had affected your relationship with Jey. Kevin, sensing Sami's presence, turned to face him with a sympathetic look on his face, as if he wasn't gonna go to war with him tomorrow.
"Rough night?" Kevin asked, swiping his card to get a late-night snack from the vending machine.
Sami glared at Kevin, his guard immediately up. "You're one to talk."
Kevin chuckled, paying for his snack and turning to face Sami. "Look Sami, I don't know what Roman told you to get you this brainwashed as his 'Honorary Uce,' but you're treading on thin ice. Y/N deserves better, and you know it."
Sami's jaw clenched at Kevin's words, a surge of frustration bubbling within him. The history and tensions between Kevin and himself were as intricate as the web of emotions surrounding your relationships with Jey and Sami.
"Stay out of it, Kevin. You don't know anything," Sami retorted, his tone sharp.
Kevin raised an eyebrow, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Oh, I know more than you think. And I know I might have hurt you in the past-"
"Might have?' Kevin rolled his eyes at Sami, continuing. "Okay, I did. But I have never treated you like a second class citizen, Sami. Remember that when Roman has you picking up his dry cleaning," Kevin said, his tone a mixture of mockery and seriousness.
Sami's fists clenched at his sides, his frustration with Kevin palpable. He took a step closer, the tension between them escalating. "They are a family to each other, Kevin. Something you wouldn't understand. And I'm not doing this for Roman. I'm doing it for her, for Y/N-" Sami realized he said too much, his words hanging in the air. Kevin's eyes narrowed, processing Sami's slip of the tongue.
"And what do you think Roman is gonna do when he finds out how to use her against you? When he realizes you've gotten too close? You think he won't manipulate her to get what he wants?" Kevin's words cut through the tension, his gaze unwavering.
Sami's jaw tightened, and he shot back, "I'm not afraid of Roman. And Y/N is smarter than that."
Kevin scoffed, shaking his head. "The same one that went back to Jey after you, right? The same one that's caught in the crossfire of your loyalty to Roman? You're naive if you think Roman won't use that against you." Kevin stepped closer to Sami, their faces inches apart. The air was thick with tension, both men locked in a silent battle of wills.
"I don't need your advice, Kevin. You're not exactly a beacon of successful relationships," Sami spat, his voice low and controlled.
Kevin's smirk faded, replaced by a more serious expression. "At least I'm not letting the love of my life get hurt by a guy who will always pick his family over someone like her. Open your eyes, Sami. Roman might be your 'family,' but he won't hesitate to throw you under the bus if it serves him."
Sami's nostrils flared, and he clenched his fists, the intensity of the confrontation escalating. Kevin's words struck a nerve, awakening doubts and fears that Sami had tried to bury. The complexity of his loyalty to Roman and the tangled emotions involving you and Jey seemed to tighten its grip on him.
Kevin watched the emotions play out on Sami's face, each one revealing a different layer of the internal struggle. Despite their history, Kevin's words managed to penetrate Sami's defenses, sparking a seed of doubt in his mind.
"Jey is a snake, just like his piece of shit cousin. It might not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but eventually Roman will finish using Y/N and ask Jey to be the one to put her down. And what will he do?" Kevin's face was inches away from Sami's, filled with a mix of bitterness and concern.
Sami's mind raced, processing the weight of Kevin's words. The hallway seemed to close in around them as they stood locked in a silent battle of ideologies. "He will betray her, follow orders like a loyal dog, and leave her broken. And you will wondering if you could have done something to prevent it," Kevin concluded, his words hanging in the air.
Sami's gaze bore into Kevin's, a storm of conflicting emotions raging within him. The hallway was eerily silent, the tension between them almost tangible. Sami took a deep breath, trying to push aside the doubts and fears that Kevin's words had stirred.
"You don't know anything about my relationship with Roman, and you certainly don't know anything about Y/N and Jey," Sami retorted, his voice firm.
Kevin chuckled, a bitter edge to the sound. "I know that you have this kind of pull on Y/N that goes beyond friendship. I've seen the way she looks at you, the way you look at her. You may think you're doing the right thing, but you're just setting yourself up for heartbreak. And for what? Roman's approval? A place in his so-called family?"
Sami's expression hardened, a mixture of frustration and inner turmoil. Kevin's words were like a relentless assault on his convictions. The internal conflict reached a boiling point, and Sami's response was laced with a raw honesty.
"I don't need your approval or anyone else's. I'm doing what I think is right," Sami declared, his voice resolute.
Kevin shook his head, a disappointed sigh escaping his lips. "You're blinded by loyalty, Sami. It's gonna cost you more than you realize." He grabbed the food from the vending machine, before turning back to Sami, and Sami paused.
The confrontation in the hotel hallway had reached its peak, both men standing their ground with a shared history and conflicting loyalties. Sami realized that this Kevin was nothing he ever faced. He wasn't angry. He wasn't trying to tear Sami down with insults or physical threats. He was genuinly concerned, and it struck a chord with Sami.
"Tomorrow, you have the choice to either blindly follow orders and be a pawn in Roman's game or to bring both you and Y/N out of this mess." Kevin said, his tone more somber now. "If you leave, she'll realize that the Bloodline is not worth the sacrifice, and you'll get your girl back, our best fried back. If you stay, you'll be dragged down with her when Roman decides she's expendable. And I won't be there to pick up the pieces. The choice is yours."
Kevin's words lingered in the air, the weight of his advice settling on Sami's shoulders, and his gaze even more probing. With that, Kevin walked away, leaving Sami standing alone in the hotel hallway, wrestling with the internal turmoil sparked by their confrontation.
Sami took a deep breath, his mind racing as he tried to process the complex web of emotions and loyalties that surrounded him. The encounter with Kevin had shaken him to the core, forcing him to confront the potential consequences of his choices. The loyalty to Roman, the complicated history with you, and the growing realization of the impact on his own happiness all collided in his mind.
Should he listen to Kevin? Should he betray the Tribal Chief in the heat of battle so he could salvage his relationship/friendship with you? Should he risk everything for a chance at a different future? Should he ignore Kevin and stay true to the Bloodline, even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness and potentially hurting you by Roman using one of you as a pawn to get the other in line? He didn't know what he was gonna do.Â
But he knew one thing.
He had to choose between you, Roman, and Kevin. And he didn't know which one would be the right path to take. Each option seemed to carry its own set of risks and consequences, and Sami found himself torn between his loyalty to Roman, his feelings for you, and the warnings Kevin had presented.
But no matter what... tomorrow, he needed to be prepared for war.

Brandi x Cody x reader
Bringing their newborn daughter to her first live Monday night raw
And all the wrestlers meeting the baby
Newest addition ||Â Cody Rhodes x Reader x Brandi Rhodes
Summary: You, Brandi, and Cody bring your baby to her first wrestling event.
It was a special night for your family as you made your way into the bustling arena for Monday Night Raw. Your little one, just a few months old, was wrapped up snugly in a soft blanket, cradled in Brandi's loving arms.
Cody had been adamant about bringing your newborn to her first wrestling event. Libby, your almost three-year-old, was beyond excited, already running ahead to greet the familiar faces of the WWE roster.
"Mommy, look!" Libby squealed as she spotted Becky Lynch and her daughter, Roux, playing nearby. She tugged on Brandi's hand. "Can I go play with them, please?"
Brandi grinned down at Libby. "If Becky tells you it's okay then yes, sweetheart. Go have fun. We'll be right here."
With Libby happily joining her little friend Roux, it was just you, Cody, Brandi, and the baby left.
The moment you entered the backstage area, the excitement was palpable. Wrestlers and staff alike greeted you with smiles, eager to meet the newest addition to the Rhodes family. Your heart swelled with pride as your baby girl was showered with attention.
Sasha Banks cooed over the little one's tiny fingers, and Big E couldn't stop talking about how cute she was. Your baby had the remarkable ability to make everyone around her light up with joy.
As Cody pushed the stroller with one hand and held your other tightly, you couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with happiness. The WWE family had become an extended family to you and Brandi, and now your children were being embraced by this loving community.
Brandi couldn't stop smiling as she cradled the baby. "She's already so loved," she murmured, glancing at Cody and then at you.
You nodded, tears of happiness welling up in your eyes. "Yeah, she is. And we're so lucky to have all these incredible people in our lives."
Cody leaned over, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "Our little family is pretty amazing, isn't it?"
With your daughter nestled safely in Brandi's arms, you walked through the backstage area, taking in the warmth and love that surrounded you. The wrestling world had become more than just a career; it was a family, and you couldn't imagine a better place to introduce your newest addition to the world.

rewriting barbie (2023) from scratch, here we go.
the movie cribs mostly from toy story 4 (toys experience midlife crises when kids aren't playing with them), but i would have built it around toy story 2's themes of legacy and mint-in-box status. the barbies in barbieland are all confined to the roles given to them by mattel. she is dr. barbie because she has the doctor outfit. she is stereotypical barbie because she doesn't do anything beyond look pretty and cute. ken is beach ken because he's got sun-bleached hair. this is how adults look at barbies. this is how a toy collector looks at barbies.
maybe this barbieland is the visual representation of america ferrera's barbie collection, a very regimented, very beautiful, very adult way of recapturing her childhood. the barbies never leave their box. the ones that don't have boxes are placed very precisely on shelves, held up by stands with spotlights on them.
sasha does not relate to this at all. she has the same critiques of barbie as a status symbol and impossible standard for women that she has in the film.
but there's another, younger character, maybe a girl that sasha - like skipper! - is babysitting. she plays with barbies the way weird barbie is played with. when she gets into gloria's barbie stash, she starts seeing them as their own people who are not defined by the outfits they wear. this barbie is a machiavellian criminal who is trying to recruit other barbies to break into a bank. this barbie is more comfortable hanging out with the kens because she is bullied by the other barbies. this barbie is a shapeshifter who turns into a barbie horse or a barbie dog as the girl replaces her with another figurine.
things immediately start going wrong for the barbies in barbieland. this isn't correct! this is weird! weird barbie laughs and tells them how they can find out what's going wrong by entering the real world.
as barbie and ken find their way into the real world, sasha discovers what the girl is doing to her mom's collection. at first, she's afraid of gloria punishing her because she knows how much this means to her mom. but as she watches, she sees a funny way of reclaiming barbie for herself and poking the whole concept of barbie in the eye, and maybe her mom is lame for not seeing this. she starts to play with the girl too. now the barbies are fomenting class consciousness and talking about how the kens are repressing them. the barbies are talking about how degrading it is that they can't be weird or ugly or mean. the barbies start understanding the patriarchy.
"the patriarchy?" the girl says. "is that like how men are always riding horses? or how men are on all the money?"
sasha blinks. "yeah, sure."
"well, i like horses," the girl says. "that sounds fun. my kens are going to go to war with the barbies now."
"no!" sasha says. "the patriarchy isn't that simple ... it's ... the kens don't KNOW they're doing it, exactly. it's because they don't consider the barbies as real people. they don't think of them as people who can BE mean or ugly or weird."
"my barbies are already mean and ugly and weird. that's how i like them. i want the kens to be mean and ugly and weird too!"
"oh, it's on," says sasha. they play-act feminist theory and counterarguments through the lens of a generational gap, where the girl's innocent imagination sometimes sees how sasha's anger can also limit the way she sees barbie. barbie and ken can truly be anything. maybe we have to hold onto that part of ourselves even as we learn more about how women are limited in the real world, because how else are we going to make those stories real?
barbie and ken find gloria, and she talks about how much she loves barbie, but how much she'd like to see herself in them again, someone who is struggling to understand her daughter. the barbies in her collection are just something she dreams of being. they are not who she is. she is old and doesn't feel very pretty or accomplished. she is just trying to get by.
barbie sees her as beautiful, despite the fact that this barbie is connected to gloria's emotions and is starting to feel less than too.
ken is becoming connected to the girl playing with gloria's ken at home. he is beginning to see that he can be more too. the world seems designed for kens in a way he's never experienced before. he has to go tell the other kens about horses and money and the godfather! ("who showed this 6-year-old girl the godfather?" sasha wonders.)
probably ken and barbie don't make it back to barbieland, but the audience sees everything that's happening there, the way it starts to become an allegory for the gender wars, a fight for meaning and nuance in a world that makes kens and barbies exactly what they're made for and nothing else. but what WERE they made for? is this really what mattel or ruth handler wanted?
as barbie, ken, gloria, sasha, and the 6-year-old girl talk it out, they realize that they are all right, in a way. we do need aspirational figures to inspire us, but sometimes we need to see ourselves too. we don't need to accept how barbies are meant to be played with as the only option. we do have to accept help from other women who have longer histories with barbie and can see how she both frustrates and inspires our conception of ourselves. we do have to see ourselves through the eyes of our inner child who's a little bit weird and doesn't accept any limitations on themselves at all. we have to learn confidence in ourselves from young women, teenage women, angry women, sad women, mom women, older women, women who want to be more or less than what they've been told they have to be.
because the movie is so discursive without grounding it in the experience of human women, women with very different approaches to femininity and barbie as a tool, it comes off as didactic and uncritical of its own point-of-view, which is actually quite limiting in how it imagines barbies liberating themselves; by being told how impossible it is to be a woman, they accept that limitation and operate through stereotypes to fight the patriarchy, pretending to be stupid and playing with kens' egos and dating around in order to pit the kens against each other. in the context of the film, there is no sense that this ... isn't what women are really like, or that we really ought to be able to imagine more for ourselves than that, regardless of how "powerful" we think the patriarchy is. but if that aspect of the film had been grounded in a child's understanding of the anger she was hearing from older women, then we could easily see the flaws in that kind of response, while understanding why some women might really do that.
develop the human characters as people with widely diverse understandings of who they are in relation to society and in relation to dolls, give them each a way of seeing themselves and their struggles in the dolls, and understand why each of them would buy a doll or at least use the dolls to understand each other better, and the whole movie is much smarter, warmer, and more human. a barbie movie that's truly for everyone.
#barbie#barbie (2023)#obviously there are many ways this film could have been approached#but i think i was most frustrated by how sealed off barbieland really is from the human characters#give humans the opportunity to shape that world as barbieland shapes theirs#and a lot of my issues would be largely fixed#barbie spoilers

Imagine thisâŚ. Bayley goes to wrestlemania wins the title from io. Either moments after she win or the smackdown after she wins Sasha banks returns. Now last time Sasha and bayley collided or cross paths storyline wise was when Bayley betrayed her and they fought in hell in a cell with Sasha ending Bayley historic 380 day reign.
I will say damage control is bayleyâs karma. Bayley created the force that is damage control she helped them achieve things etc only for io someone who bayley thought of as family + friend was influenced by her friends to betray bayley. The same way Sasha who helped Bayley throughout her career and made history beside her and thought of Bayley as family as her sister only for Bayley to betray her. Some could say the heel version Bayley we got was a result of the influence Sasha had on Bayley and that could parallel to Bayley and damage control. With Bayley being the monster Sasha created and damage control being the monster Bayley created. And Sasha overcame Bayley and now Bayley may overcome io and win the title.
Now granted bayley is not the same person now that she was when she betrayed Sasha at least not fully the same person.
I remeber a segment the two had back in 2018 when they had tension and they went that counseling sessions and later Sasha would help bayley during a match and Sasha said backstage âI love you, I always have and I always willâ but she also said âitâs one thing for me to beat you upâ. Now Sasha stilled cared about Bayley even after Bayley betrayed her we can tell from the hell in a cell match and the emotion they radiated. But storyline wise we could Sasha comes back not specifically to take the title from Bayley but to climb her way back to the top of the division. Sasha can through a feud with Bianca cause personally I wanna see a rematch or she could fued with some else. Anyway Sasha could end up winning the rumble and choosing Bayley. Now Bayley and Sasha outside of wwe has always talked about one day facing each other at wrestlemania specifically the main event and when Sasha wins the rumble with that thought of that in mind would go on to choose Bayley. They would have a segmentâŚ.
And Sasha could say âI meant what I said bayley all those years ago.. your my sister and I love you and despite everything that has happened between us, despite the fact that I may never forgive you ik that but I also know there is not a thing in this world thatâs gonna stop me from kicking your ass and taking away that championship from you so what do you say bayley, how about one more fight?
Bayley says well it was always our dream and who am I to deprive the wwe universe of a match like this so for old times I sake I say, your on sister.
Bayley line parallels when Sasha wanted to beat Bayley for the nxt womenâs championship at respect and Bayley said your on sisterâŚ.
And they shake hands after which is something that could happen again as they both stand in middle of the ring and the wrestlemania sign could been seen between them.
AND THE SASHA BAYLEY SAGA WILL END AT WRESTLEMANIA 41
The next time they ever cross paths again storyline wise will be when the fourhorsewomen finally clash in an epic storyline that will culminate with a fatal four way at another wrestlemania (it doesnât even need to be for a championship cause their is already so much story and depth between the four of them. The four of them are the devils or demons on each other shoulders.
Somebody tell Triple H to hire međ¤Ł

May Trope Mayhem Day 15: Character is a sex worker
Tags: Sashnetra, Sasha Colby, Anetra, RPDR s15, Stripper AU, unrequited feelings
For @duckprintspress May Trope Mayhem.
She was the sun, light shining bright on those who watched her. Her smile was the burning fire that inspired people to write poetry on the divine. One couldn't look away from the way Sasha Colby moved on a stage, alight in the darkness shining like diamonds.
Or that was how Anetra would describe her, should anyone ask. From the very first time she laid eyes on her, she was hooked, unable to escape her thrall. And God, the way her voice rang through her chest when she thanked her for the generous tip Anetra had left her that night, all those months ago.
Now, Anetra's bank account was nearing empty, while her heart was in a surplus. Silly, really. Sasha hadn't paid her much mind aside from giving her a couple more minutes in the private rooms for free. It didn't mean anything. She was merely rewarding her best customer. But to Anetra, it meant the world.
Her friends were worried about her too, and why wouldn't they be? Anetra barely saw them anymore, always with a flimsy excuse that she needed to do overtime or that her family needed her. The first a half truth, the second a complete fabrication. She needed them off her back for whatever the fuck she was doing. Without talking to them, Anetra had no problem imagining Luxx staging an intervention for her problem.
As if Anetra didn't know this wasn't healthy. There weren't any real feelings there beyond dollar bills and shitty booze. There never would be.
Still, Anetra looked up at the stage for her sun as she absentmindedly counted the money she had left in her wallet. Five $20 bills and some change. Just barely enough. With ten days until payday, ramen noodles would have to do. She tucked her wallet back into her pocket. She had a show to catch.

Hereâs Why Things Are the Way They Are
The Overall Layout
Let me start off by stating that one of the characters (read: Oliver Banks), in podcast, describes the Magnus Institute (TMI) as small. SMALL.Â
Suffice it to say that I respectfully decline and offer you (what I deem) a medium sized building instead. Before you ask me, 'did you even try', I attempted to make two other layouts in the âsmallâ category that just. Did. Not. Work. So yeah. No small Magnus Institute for you.
The only reason I didnât make it 'large' is because of a bit of research I did into probable locations of TMI, where none of the buildings were taller than four floors, or could be considered large by any stretch of the imagination. In terms of facade and size, I think TMI is kind of like a Starbucks on a college campus. It isnât distractingly out of place, but you can find it easily enough.
Most of the more interesting shapes in the various floor layouts are the result of scouring Google maps and historical images for architecture typical of the 1800s. While itâs entirely possible for the building to have been gutted between now and then, I like to think of the Magnus Institute as being a preserved historical building, one that canât be completely replaced without losing that status. Which is, unfortunately, why it doesnât have an elevator/lift either.
Ground Floor Rooms
On this floor lies the rooms that gave me the greatest trouble: the Boiler Room and Artefact Storage.Â
The source of my difficulties? MAG 038-040, three episodes wherein the amount of setting descriptions provided is greater than the sum of the descriptions found in the other 197 episodes. The entire Prentiss scene is extremely difficult to justify in a building with a feasible layout that can be designated as âsmallâ or even âmediumâ.Â
Here are the most important points I used making this floor, just for easy reference:
Elias and Sasha have to find the boiler room âa few floors downâÂ
The worms are on the upper floor (possibly the ground floor, one floor above the basement)
Elias and Sasha have to âturn a cornerâ to see a âtidal wave of filthâ rushing towards them
Elias has to 1) lose Sasha, who finds her way into Artefact Storage and 2) take a roundabout route that requires 10-15 minutes to reach the boiler room (with one close call)
There are multiple corridors, only one of which contains the filth mass
Artefact Storage does not have any windows.
I spent so much time considering whether the Artefact Storage and the Boiler Room were in the basement or not â and I have been working on an alternate layout somewhere to do just that, if anyoneâs interested â but ended up settling on the first floor because a lot of the descriptions didnât line up with the idea of either of those rooms being in the basement. Eliasâ âalternate routeâ and âcorridorsâ from MAG 040 were one such description.
I also couldnât bring myself to justify lugging a table all the way down to the basement.
(The reception, break room, toilets, and an administrative office are all located on this floor largely due to convenience and/or logic.)Â
First Floor Rooms
This was the easiest floor to design. I didnât want it to be too far from the research floor or Artefact Storage, and I knew that the library deserved its own floor. Simple, effective, and logical. I gave the head librarian an office, too. Itâs what Diana deserves.
Second Floor Rooms
So, as it turns out, to run a business you need more than just the spooky parts. This includes offices for workers that are essential to keeping the company running. Marketing, accounting, the like. I also read on the wiki that the Magnus Institute has approximately 80 workers and couldnât justify not having this floor.Â
If youâll notice, the HR department has an office smaller than the toilets. This is because Jonah Magnus deems it nonessential. The janitorial staff, however, are both very important and very well stocked, so they get one of the larger rooms.Â
Third Floor Rooms
TMA explicitly states that researchers work on the third floor. Therefore, the research room is on the third floor. What is not explicitly stated is whether or not the floor levels are based on the British English floor system (which would make sense), where the ground floor is street level and the first floor is one level above, or the American English floor system (which would not make sense), where the first floor is on street level. I went for the obvious choice.
As for Eliasâ office being on the third floor, in MAG 039 Elias states that thereâs a manual release for the Archiveâs fire suppression system âa few floors downâ. Originally, I wanted his office to be on the second floor, or the first. In the end, I got a bit stuck on the idea of âa fewâ, which seems like itâs more than two, so all the way up to the top went Eliasâ office. It stayed up there for character purposes â namely, the idea of Jonah Magnus being able to watch the city from his office.
Basement Rooms
In the basement is, of course, the Archives. Surprisingly, despite how much of the podcast takes place in the Archives, the layout is just as nebulous as the rest of TMI.Â
Here are a few notable details I used in planning, all from MAG 038-040:
In the Archives, there is an office (likely small and intended for statement recording)
Thereâs an entrance to the tunnels in the Archives
Thereâs a storeroom intended for statements/files that need more care
From the storeroom, the office is visible, as is the door to the Archives.
While the second break room and toilets are not mentioned in the podcast, I thought Iâd include them because it makes sense to me that a spacious area with only one exit has options in case of an emergency.
I am almost absolutely certain that I misinterpreted the description of the Archives, but alas, I wonât be remaking it for a while. The new version can wait until Iâve regained my sanity.
About the Stairs
The odd positions for the stairs are the result of trying to reason my way through the descriptions provided in MAG 038-040. My idea was that he and Sasha would descend all the way to the ground floor using the stairs closest to his office, only to run back up after meeting with a wall of corruption.Â
At first, I thought that Eliasâ âroundaboutâ route to reach the Boiler Room (MAG 040) would have him dashing through the library and down the other set of stairs, so that particular set of stairs by the Boiler Room only went up to the library floor.Â
Then I thought it would be hysterical if Elias didnât even bother running through the library because he is genuinely terrified of the librarians. (He tries to justify his actions by stating he wanted to extend Jonâs exposure to the corruption and Sashaâs encounter with the table, but heâs lying.) So in went another set of stairs.
TL;DR
The Magnus Archives is a wonderful podcast with descriptions that are highly immersive while allowing for a lot of interpretation by fans, which is something I've always appreciated in storytelling. Although Iâm certain those at the Rusty Quill have their own layout, unless they choose to release all the specific details, the Magnus Institute truly is what we make of it.
Also, Eliasâ description of the Prentiss invasion can get burrowed into by worms :)Â

Return To Me (Remastered?)
I wanted to share some previews of my progress with editing up RTM.
Snippet from Chapter One: Introduction to the East
MAY 1921Â
He [Armin] had seen so much more than he had hoped yet not enough.Â
Simply surviving would have been enough for someone else, but not Armin. He was only more hungry and sought to establish himself further within society. He traveled backwards from the new and thriving West Coast to the historical East Coast and eventually back to ancient Europe. Then wherever the winds would lead him.Â
Many had come back with minds broken, shorter tempers and the shakes. But his affliction had embodied the form of irrepressible greed. He wasnât more important, nor more loved then many men who hadnât made it back past the atlantic. Nonetheless he was home and he couldnât find it in him to squander his luck due to his devotion to a stubborn old man. Even if that old man had raised him with the most caring of hands.Â
Snippet from Chapter Two: Where the Wind Blows
Where Sasha was inquisitive , Mikasa was contemplative. She tried to imagine this Kirstein but all that came to mind was hers.
Jean Kirstein.
Her Jean was all honey and a live wire with nothing but his name.
Once upon a time her Dear Jean, her boy, would pick her up in his old motor bike, taking them to their hide away on the banks of the Mississippi. The soft ground, old trees, critters and all was their refuge away from their lives and the troubles that come with the circumstances they had been born into.Â
She would watch him paint and he would listen to her sing and play whatever instrument had her attention at the moment. Sometimes they would just read or study. She wished that she had known then what she knew now.
But it was too late. He was gone and she had to make the most out of what she had left. Although she feared she wasnât doing so well as of late.Â
Snippets from Chapter Five: Reminiscing 1910-1913
Jean had grown from a charming boy to a fetching young gentleman. Mikasa pretended to not notice but it became exceedingly more difficult to play at indifference once she noticed other women give him longing and sometimes even flirtatious looks as he escorted her throughout town.
She was quick to sweep those thoughts aside, opting to focus on work or admire the way that the afternoon light would shine through Jeans linen dress shirt. Allowing her to admire the outline of his form on particularly hot days when he would remove his vest.Â
#Yeah its been fun seeing how I have improved the past year as I play with the words and sentence structures and think more about how to tie#a characters story up#jeankasa

AEW All Access Ep 4 Thoughts
So Full Gear is in the books in the All Access timeline, but what developments do we have next for our cast members? Here's my thoughts on things
Man imagine having a home like a wrestler's? Full of merch, titles you've won spread over your walls, spacious and you don't have to fork out rent? Plus I'd definitely borrow Rey Mysterio's waterfall swimming pool from his home
Pretty telling that Kenny probably wouldn't have come back without the Bucks, it shows how much he backs his friends though
Knew that was coming Max, but man we got about 3 minutes worth of unpaid MJF footage there
Actually quite surprised Tay never broke anything, it's a good thing of course even I've never broke a bone but I haven't done 2 bloody street fights and a career of Judo so my path was a little safer
This series need 90% more Willow Nightingale too she would be great in this...okay 70% she was shown quite a bit but she needs to be a more prominent character
"It's pro-wrestling baby, somebody's always mad about something" ain't that the Truth, the whole Truth and even the R-Truth
See I know I gotta keep reiterating it, but wrestlers are people, and sometimes people don't get along but that doesn't make either bad people; Tay and Ruby don't get along, but they are still good people, Rosa and Britt don't get along, but they both want to do what's best for AEW
Need 80% more Ethan Page too
Ruby and Eddie's reunion too, warms the heart
We could just commission a whole series of 'Eddie Kingston and his friends', just have Eddie vibing and watching wrestling with his favourite people like Ruby, Ortiz, Moxley, Riho, Lulu, Penta etc.
I do feel bad for Rosa, because she's clearly motivated to return to the ring but it still hasn't happened, imagine not being able to do a job you love for months
I kinda miss Madi Wrenkowski, not as much as I miss KiLynn King but she was a good worker, liked her gear too. Both see and King are tag champs in other promotions if you didn't know (Madi is NWA women's tag champion as part of M95 and King is Knockouts Tag Champion as part of The Coven)
80% more Penelope too, though if she's taking more time for herself for personal reasons absolutely don't pry she has had a rough time
You know the heat is bad when Sammy Guevara, one of the most booed men in AEW, has to pause over it XD
Again though, we could've dedicated more time with showing Jamie directly rather than talking around her. Her story of becoming champion and the pressure of it mentioned here would've been interesting to see coming from her instead of mentioned by Tony and Britt
Since we got to see Cool Hand Ang I need to say AEW need to push 2point0 properly, they are charisma machines
Wardlow is just standing there, OMINOUSLY!
As I've said, Ruby and Tay are good people, but I do think Ruby was a bit iffy about doubting Tay saying it was an accident, I mean the move has a high margin for error (case in point Mercedes MonĂŠ fka Sasha Banks' first attempt at the Gory Special DDT on KAIRI completely missed) it felt like she was set on giving a receipt regardless
