How they would celebrate Poison's birthday

Rosho, Rei, and Sasara

They would treat this as a competition to see who would get the best gift for Poison. They're always fighting to get Poison's attention, so this isn't their first rodeo.

Rosho has been planning Poison's gift since November. He knew that they missed American soda ever since they moved to Japan. He knew they especially missed the holiday addition of those sodas. So he tracked down when the holiday sodas hit shelfs in American and got some shipped out to him for them to enjoy. Rosho also bought a bunch of different holiday wine for the both of them the taste test, a small strawberry cake and other little trinkets he knew Poison would enjoy. He thought his gift was the best because of how much time he spent researching what Poison liked.

Meanwhile, Sasara wanted to make Poison something for their birthday. He thought a scrapbook filled with photos, jokes, and stories would be perfect. So he spent days leading up to their birthday, creating this scrapbook. He gathered as many photos as he could of them together, writing jokes and silly stories next to the photos. He wanted it to be a book of fun (and only fun) memories they shared together. From the time they first meet, to the day he proposed to them. He also got Poison a bunch of snacks they enjoyed and a list of movies he knew they would enjoy together so they could add to the scrapbook. He thought he had the best gift because he created his by hand and put more physical work into it.

And finally, Rei. He knew exactly what Poison wanted. The day of Poison's birthday, he went out to different stories and bought every plushies, figure, otome game, manga, makeup product Poison has touched, said they wanted, but never bought during the month of November. He kept track of each item and paid the workers to hide those items until he came back to get them. He had bought so much stuff, he knew Poison would have to get an entire room just to put it. Which in his head meant they would eventually move in with him. He also bought them some of their favorite energy drinks (him just promoting thier caffeine habits at this point). He thought he had the best gift because he got Poison exactly what they wanted and had been listening/pay attention to what they look at and fond over.

After all the gifts are gathered, the three all meet up at Poison apartment to surprise them. They shoved their gifts in Poison's arms as soon as they opened to the door, excited for them to open it. As each gift is opened, the men smuggly smile, thinking they've got Poison the perfect gift. Of course, in the end, Poison enjoys very little gift they gave them and is just happy they got to spend it with them in the first place. The 4 of them end up ordering takeout, ending the night with drinking, laughing, and cuddling. One of the best birthday Poison has ever had.

Jyuto

Jyuto flew out to see Poison for their birthday. He's been planning this trip for a while and was counting the day leading up to it. Soon, his flight day finally came, and he arrived in American on Poison's birthday. They meet Jyuto at the airport beyond happy and excited. He had already played the week out for them.

Day 1 consists of mainly staying at home and spending time together. They went shopping for food and cooked dinner together. They made Poison's favorite meal and even a small cake for them to enjoy. They watched movies, talked about work, drank (of course) and just enjoyed each other's company.

Day 2, Jyuto let Poison sleep in, knowing they were tired from work and school. He made them breakfast in bed for when they woke up and ran them a hot shower. He took them shopping for date clothes, because that night he took them to a fancy restaurant to have dinner together.

Day 3, they both slept in, mostly likely from hangovers the night before. They cook breakfast together took a walk downtown. They went ice skating, window shopped, went to a nice Cafe and once it got dark they did a tour of the cities Christmas lights. Jyuto never seem Poison's eyes sparkle in awe this much before. He loved to see it.

On day 4, Jyuto had to leave. Of course, Poison was devastated after spending so much time with him. After dropping him off at the airport, they two shared one last hung and kiss. Jyuto gave Poison one last gift, handing them a small box. Inside was a bracelet with a heart-shaped locket. He told them that if they ever missed him, just to look at the locket and know he was would always be close by.

Benimaru

He didn't know what to get Poison for their birthday. It wasn't that he hadn't been paying attention to what they liked and wanted. He just didn't know where to start. He knew Poisonwas the type to buy themselves birthday gifts, they liked to treat themsevles around this time. So he didn't want yo buy them something they already bought for themsevles.

So after a long time of thinking he decided on a perfect gift for Poison. He gave them a break. He knew Poison was beyond tired from work and he also knew they worked on their birthday. So he went in and took the day off of work for Poison, them waking up to a message from their boss telling them to have a fun vacation. At that point they knew this had Benimaru all over it.

He surprised them with breakfast and a vacation in the mountains where they stayed in a little cottage near a hot spring. They spent most of their time resting in the cottage. He pampered Poison (as much as they let him), giving them gifts, cooking for them, of course, relaxing in the hot springs. They got their own private one so they were able to relax together. This was the most Benimaru has seen Poison relax and even just lay down. Poison was always on their feet and it made him happy to see them just flop in bed after a got bath. It's definitely something he wanted to do again

Dottore and Pantalone

Similar to Rosho, Rei, and Sasara, these two also fight over Poison's attention. Dottore hates to share but ends with him and Pantalone arguing back and forth about 'who turn it was' to be with Poison. (Poison just enjoyed the show). So when their birthday came around, Dottore and Pantalone knew they had to get the perfect gift and out due the other.

Dottore always had a weird way of showing Poison he loved them. He liked making jewelry out of teeth from his failed clones. He would make earrings, rings, and even necklaces out of these teeth. Poison thinks it's a little weird but doesn't have the guts to tell him. They never saw Dottore this excited about something he made that wasn't... harmful. Dottore didn't want to give them more teeth jewelry. That was getting old. He wanted something new, something bold. Something they'll never forget. Dottore recreated/clones Poison's heart. He was always doing weekly checkups on Poison, making sure they were healthy. And with that, he always checked their heart. He would do x-rays and scans. His favorite was listening to it. So, with all of his research and data he had gathered, he was able to clone Poison's heart. A beating heart where he locked in a special jar thay would make sure the heart kept beating. When he gave Poison the jar with a beating heart in it, they, of course, freaked out. Dottore was confused about Poison's reaction to their gift. After a long talk, they agreed on no more body parts as gifts, and Dottore and his clones all went on a little adventure with Poison to gather gems to make actually jewelry together.

Pantlone, on the other hand, showered Poison in mora and gifts. From the time they woke up to the time they went to sleep, Pantalone was giving them a gift or a bag of mora. He bought them jewelry, clothes, gems, all of their favorite tea blends and sweet treats, he treated them to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, took them site seeing and much more. Poison had some many gifts and so much mora they didn't know what to do with it all. They weren't use to being showered in gifts like this. Especially expensive gifts. Pantalone got them a crown with gem all over it. Poison had no idea how to even react to such an expensive piece of head wear. They felt awkward but appreciated everything Pantalone had got them. At the end of the day, they did share their worries about Pantlone spending so much on them. Of course Pantalone just shrugged it off, telling them this wasn't anything compared to what he truly wanted to do. But he could still tell how uncomfortable Poison felt. So for the rest of the night, they relaxed at Poison's home, eating cake and Poison trying on all the different clothes they were bought.

In the end, Poison did enjoy both gifts from Dottore and Pantlone and had an amazing birthday. They got to spent time with two of their favorite people and that's all they wanted in the end.

It's my birthday!!

Yipppeee!!

I decided to shelf indulge for my birthday and wrote little something.

The semester is getting closer a end so I will be writing more. I would also be writing a Christmas and New Years short and maybe a pre-graduation short (since my ceremony isn't til spring)

jyushi’s council of monsters!!!!

these monsters are actually all tengu!!! these tengu in particular are said to have fought for minamoto no yoshitsune, a very famous samurai known for his victories that unified japan at one point. the tengu here granted minamoto no yoshitsune the skills and knowledge to defeat benkei, an equally famous warrior monk, who swore his allegiance to minamoto no yoshitsune thereafter his loss. here’s the art of the battle!!!

from left to right in jyushi’s council of tengu, we have saburo of iizuka mountain, sagamibo of shiramine, sojobo of mount kurama, and hokibo of mount daisen.

these tengu reside in different regions of japan, likely to symbolise what this samurai has helped accomplish, and it’s interesting we have jyushi depicted here as said leader who had brought japan together 👀

Samatoki birthday headcanons

[ Fluff / platonic relationships / mention of smoking ]

MCD era:

First of all. Figuring out even the date of his birthday was a challenge for all of them. Samatoki was very secretive about it, wanting to celebrate it with Nemu only. However, Sasara and Nemu tend to be little gossiping buddies and Sasara convinced Nemu to tell him. So now that they got the date, let’s get to planning.

Sasara tells Ichiro, Ichiro tells Kuko. Them and Nemu meet up in secret to plan out their surprise for Samatoki.

On the day of Samatoki’s birthday, Nemu will pretend that no one knows by making the usual birthday breakfast for Samatoki, which consists of a lot of sweet stuff.

Sasara will then pick Samatoki up, which isn’t weird on its own, but it is when Samatoki suspects something as Sasara let’s him refuse to go to their MCD base.

Towards the end of the day, Sasara convinces Samatoki that he now must go with him to the MCD base. Samatoki finds it all too suspicious and asks Sasara:

“Did Nemu tell you?”

Sasara giggled, “Tell me what?” he tilted his head, trying to be as innocent as possible.

Samatoki squinted, “That it’s my birthday.”

Sasara gasped exaggeratingly loud, obviously faking, “It is?! Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I can tell you’re lying.” Samatoki flicked Sasara forehead with two fingers, hoping he’d drop the act.

Sasara shrugged in response, not denying. Samatoki scoffed, fastening his pace and busting open the door of the office before Sasara had a chance to stop him.

Samatoki busted the door open to have three teenagers give a weak “Surprise!” as they weren’t expecting him yet. He looked around the office, noticing the decorations and cake that Nemu and Ichiro were still putting icing on.

“The hell?! Sasara, you should be here at 5!” Kuko complained, tying a knot in the balloon he just filled.

“He-“

“I figured it out. Nemu, I thought we had an agreement?” Samatoki sighed, a small smile peeking through.

Nemu laughed, “The family is expanding. It’s only fair.” she put down the icing and approached her brother, telling everyone to gather around Samatoki for a group hug.

“God fuck y’all are sappy.” Samatoki grunted as he felt four sets of arms wrap around his body, giving a warm embrace.

TDD ERA:

Ichiro knew the date now, of course, but after last year he wasn’t sure if Samatoki was willing to celebrate it with him. Maybe Samatoki would want to go back to only celebrating with Nemu.

Ramuda would really nag Ichiro about telling him when Samatoki’s birthday is, but Ichiro wouldn’t give in. He knew Samatoki wouldn’t like the surprise now considering the situation he’s in.

Eventually, when the day comes around, Ichiro would walk up to Samatoki, give him a hug, which Samatoki is left kind of unresponsive to, as he doesn’t know what to do. “Happy birthday,” Ichiro says, “I wish we could celebrate it with the four of us again soon.” Which really shows how Ichiro hadn’t let go of Kuko and Sasara at all yet in comparison to Samatoki who tried to forget it.

MTC ERA:

Rio makes a cake! He said so in the ARB lines as well. The three of them can eat it together although Samatoki will eat most if it with pleasure knowing the list of ingredients.

Jyuto gives him a classic pack of cigs, telling Samatoki that they can smoke it all up together with a drink on a certain date, all Jyuto’s treat. Although it’s not the most wholesome gift, Jyuto always knows how to read what Samatoki wants most at these moments.
