I've read a few au's where quinn kept beth and I was wondering how you think that would've played out in your DB verse? How different would it make everyone's life?

Super different - like that universe wouldn't exist in that form.

Let's say, best case scenario, Judy is a supportive mother and grandmother and helps Quinn raise Beth while she finishes high school. I don't see Quinn going to Yale with a two-year old. She might manage college in Ohio, again with Judy's help, but her focus would be on becoming independent and finding a job that would let her support Beth on her own.

Meanwhile, Rachel goes off to New York, and I doubt she and Quinn would ever become as close as they did without the easy travel distance to visit one another.

Quinn will probably still come out eventually because she is still very gay, but that journey would have been completely different with a young daughter to worry about. That year she spent dating a lot of women who were wrong for her wouldn't have happened. She'd have probably been looking for someone who would be good with Beth from the beginning, and of course, Puckerman would have been more of factor in her life with shared custody.

For Rachel, the lack of Quinn in her orbit would probably have seen her happily getting back together with Peter when he came back from London.

Santana and Rachel wouldn't be nearly as close.

Teresa would have never given Santana the time of day.

Shelby would still be admiring Rachel from a (very far) distance.

Josie and Sarah would probably have never crossed paths. Josie would have just been that hot redhead that Sarah would see jogging around the Yale campus from time to time until she graduated and moved back to Boston.

I think Kurt is the only person who's life might have turned out mostly the same.

That’s hilarious, this is a plot bunny I almost used for a different question ages ago (the one that made Xavier Carver exist) so I had vague ideas for her but here is a slight reworking

Reagan Harlow (Noah Puckerman ship)

Reagan knew high school show choir divas, she was one. Jesse St. James’ right hand in Vocal Adrenaline, she was used to the intensity that a championship required. Then she gets an offer from Sue Sylvester, use her gymnast skills to leave Carmel and join the McKinley High Cheerios. It sounds like a ridiculous offer, everyone knows Carmel is better than McKinley, especially when it comes to show choir, but she can’t deny it’s easier to get college scholarships as an award winning cheerleader than the right hand to a show choir. So she agrees, and as a bonus, she decides to join the New Directions and try to help them get up to speed. Which apparently isn’t wanted, but she doesn’t care.

growing up in lima didn’t come easy for sarah, life at home with her older brother and mom, only got harder as the years passed by, and sarah was never the type to share her struggles with others instead she internalized a lot of her fears, insecurities and hardships. she breezed her way through school and it wasn’t until after she’d left home to attend college that she really started to figure herself out. she was a girl that was hurting, and didn’t know how to heal, it was only then that she started to attend regular therapy sessions, discussing her past, present and future and realizing the power that these types of counseling sessions had on her, that she knew what she had to do with the rest of her life.

also, while away at college, sarah found more than just herself, she found love. or what she thought was love. an older girl, the girl of her dreams and the relationship moved quickly, before she knew it she was engaged, and moving in, planning a wedding, all while trying to complete her degree and it was becoming all too much for her to know how to handle it all. the relationship was quickly breaking down, but she didn’t know what to do about it, how to salvage it, or if she even wanted to.

while she’d never planned on going back home to lima, once her older brother moved back, a kid in tow, sarah decided she’d head home too, breaking off her engagement and choosing to move home, under the guise of helping her brother - a newly single dad. since moving back to lima, she’s managed to establish herself, a house and a stable job as a school counselor at the local middle school and she’s content in her work, in life as an aunt, and in staying in the town she’d once hated so much.

I’m the littlest Puckerman, waiting on some paperwork to say I get to be in this family for good. So, you might have noticed we’re in the minority [at this wedding]? And by we, I mean girls. I’m not a man, so I can’t be a best man. Someday I could be a best woman, maybe, but… it turns out there is no female equivalent of being a best man in a wedding. You know why? Because weddings are inherently sexist. Like, for over a hundred years, when women got married in this country, they lost the ability to own or buy things, or live where they wanted. Because they were married, they became property of their husbands. They didn’t have a choice. So, for most of my admittedly short life, I figured not getting married was the best way to go. I could do what I wanted, and make all my own decisions, and have any kind of life I chose.

Except what I didn’t realize was that when you’re making all your own plans, you only get to see life in one way. Life is pretty flat when you don’t have someone else’s perspective. And when you have a partner—a real partner—it turns out you don’t just get twice the perspective, you get a whole spectrum, because relationships are complicated and awesome.

I wish I could say I learned all this stuff from my own Ma, but the truth is, I learned most of it from my brother, Noah. Noah’s my best man, all the way. But we already established that weddings are sexist and there’s already been way too much talk about men tonight. 

So when Noah and Timmy and I were kids, long before we figured out that being part of something was worth it, we were lucky. We had somebody who fed us and gave us a place to hang out and helped with our homework and made us read the Monopoly rules and who loved us for no reason at all, other than we needed to be loved. She had a kid, and he’s pretty awesome too. Oh, and remember how I said it was important to be part of something? She did all of this on her own, without a partner. So I have to say that was pretty impressive. And now? She’s got a partner. That guy.

Yeah, I know, another man. Can we just take it as read that he’s great? Because, honestly, whatever he had to do with Kurt to make him as awesome as he is, Carole had to do it with Finn, backwards in heels. 

And now, the two of them together… they’re going to make something amazing. The best part is, I get to be part of it too. So, even if it goes without saying, I’m going to say it anyway: Carole, you’re my best woman.
