Which models are you disappointed on how they are now?

Unsurprisingly I think the first one that jumps to mind is Natasha from Cycle 8, what a disappointment seeing what she is posting on social media nowadays. Similarly, seeing Sara from Cycle 2 post what she did after the Supreme Court decision, or Keith posting homophobic/transphobic posts...breaks my heart. Another one is Brittney from AusNTM Cycle 6, was disappointed to see her become an anti-vaxxer, one of my random faves.

I am sure there are more out there who would disappoint me if I looked into it, but I'd rather focus on those who are thriving out there like Dani, or those who are still friends from their seasons like April and Mercedes. There are so many great people on this show, and the few bad ones just don't deserve our time anymore.

1. Sara

This is my favorite shot of Sara’s. She’s so connected with the photographer and there’s a ton of intensity in her eyes, which is something Sara struggled with during her run on the show. The pose is full of energy, almost like she ran onto set and slid across the floor. I do wish she hadn’t grabbed onto her right boot, but that’s a minor issue that doesn’t drag the photo down for me.

Aphrodite Xenia— Sara

Sara’s elimination was equal parts heartbreaking as it was unfair. I have no idea if Tyra’s tears were real or not, but mine sure were. Sara was so consistent throughout her run, and her photos were never below average. Worst of all, she was eliminated during one of her best (if not the best) performances, and was criticised for being too sexy in a video literally called “Shake Your Body.” Sara should have been able to enjoy Italy with the other remaining contestants- her book and walk justified it.

Here I where I will be ranking the people I consider to be the best models on this show never to make it oversees. So this means for the most part, those to be eliminated pre-final 6, apart from the first two cycles. The decisions are based on completely different reasons for each model, mainly due to the fact we didn’t see as much of them. For some it will be based on their portfolio on the show, others personality, some just pure raw potential, and then for those at the top probably a mixture. So really there is no fixed criteria for why models made the list, and why others didn’t. More than ever this purely personal, and I could easily understand people disagreeing thorougly.

Can you rank the Asian models in ANTM?

Okay, so my ranking of the Asian ANTM models would be:

13th - Julie Titus - Honestly, all of the Asian models on ANTM have had some positives for me so I'm surprised to be ranking Julie last, but her look probs had the least potential.

12th - Justine Biticon - More obvious potential, still sad she was first out, done a bit nasty on Cycle 23 to be honest, like most Asian contestant it seems.

11th - Claire Unabia - Strong look, but her portfolio was generally quite mediocre for me. Always looked a bit older than she was.

10th - Sara Racey-Tabrizi - Big jump up, had some solid photographs, but never fully wowed me.

9th - Jenascia Chakos - Close with Sara, but honestly Jenascia has more memorable shots for me, so giving her one spot up. Very close though.

8th - Gina Choe - One of the strongest looks for an Asian model which is what gets her this high, but so little confidence and her best shots seemed to be lucked into. Still love her Swarovski shot though.

7th - Sheena Sakai - If this was a personality ranking, obvious number 1. Sheena was still a really solid model on the show though, but her portfolio was again quite middling a lot of the time. Never felt she fully lived up to her potential.

6th - Anchal Joseph - My favourite look ever on this show, if she had more confidence I'd have her higher, but that held her back. So many stunning photographs, and deserved so much better on her cycle. A running theme with Asian contestants.

5th - Justin Kim - Another person robbed right before the trip section of the show, Justin is a contender for the best male model we saw on the show. Love his look, he should've easily made top 4.

4th - Jennifer An - Jennifer probably the only person in the top 6 who got mostly her fair dues on the show. She got rightful praise for several great shots (her underwater remains one of my all time favourites), for pushing the boundaries, and while I think there is a case for her to be the runner-up of Cycle 13, I think final 4 was still fair.

3rd - Shei Phan - This girl was paid dust on Cycle 21, criminally underrated, and relegated to being the catwalk model, which she did absolutely demolish. Stunning photographs, great body and face, just all around brilliant model. Easy top 2 in her cycle with Lenox.

2nd - Jeana Turner - ANTM should've finished with Jeana becoming the first Asian to win, such a brilliant model. Her look was fascinating, and her portfolio the most diverse of the season. The show villainizing her instead was disgusting.

1st - April Wilkner - No doubt, Cycle 2 had the first Asian contestants, but they hit a home run with April. Stunning girl, incredible portfolio, everything you could've asked for. Deserved to be the first Asian winner of ANTM.

So the big thing to conclude from this ranking is that the show did Asian models completely dirty both in terms of their treatment of them and their casting of them. Can't believe there was only 13 across 24 cycles, including a stretch from 14-20 where none were cast. Ridiculous.

2. Sara

Sara was fully committed and confident in her performance. She had the choreography down pretty well and I liked the sex appeal she brought to her take. Her elimination baffled me because she was one of the best of the week and she had been super consistent throughout the competition.

5. Sara

I love how Sara’s beauty translates onto a picture. It’s quite unique in the pool of remaining girls, and I appreciate the tiny smirk that gives it some personality. The hands, however, somehow makes this more of an actress headshot than a model’s, which brings things down in the ranking. I can’t comment much on her commercial since she had only three words in the entire bloody thing, and what we did see was so minimal it was non-existent.
