One of my fav YTTD ship is Joe and Ryoko, especially because it's almost canon (rip Joe 🙏). My HC is that Joe would always yap to Sara about his dates with Ryoko. He just would be a yapping machine. And I really love the fact that he took Ryoko for a kebab date. This was a perfect date. And I'm sure there would be more kebab dates, if only Midori was sane. 😩🙏

But coming up with another HC (I mentioned kebab only because I'm hungry and it's 2 am when I'm writing this in my notes), I really like to think they would be typical Insta couple. Posting a lot cute of pictures together, playing cardboard games together and with Sara. You know, just normal teenagers who were not traumatised by Asunaro.

Another short HC is for NaoReko. I like to think Nao would be drawing album covers for Reko and her band and going with them for tours. <33

I'm not very creative with HC and my HC usually are so normal. But I guess it's kind of justified when it comes to YTTD. All of the characters suffered enough. 😅

❄️ What's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?

Recently I saw a fanfic idea, made by kirabasai, about Obito from Naruto, who is an extremely unreliable narrator, obsessing over Kakashi, his every thought of Kakashi is very detailed and the reader doesn't know what exactly is happening around Obito, we just mostly know his obsessive thoughts and analysis of Kakashi. And it got me so interested in this that I wish someone actually wrote it. Unfortunately I don't know who would be perfect for this when it comes to writing skills, because I don't know many authors. But I like the thoughts and analysis of badninken here on Tumblr, and their analysis of Obito and Kakashi is always interesting for me to read. So even if I don't know their writing skills, I still think they're perfect for the job as they know a lot about Obito and Kakashi. ✨

my favorite thing about jannik has always been his determination. he never ever gives up. even before his tennis got to this insane level it's at now, i could always see a hunger in him, a determination to win. what more could you want from an athlete. but also, personality wise, i really like how down to earth he is and i see myself a bit in the way he tends to be reserved and private especially when there are eyes on him but then when he's with people he's comfortable with he almost transforms and you can see that he has fun and is a happy person. help sorry i wrote too much skdnsdsj i love jannik ok

Oh boy. Hm. I'll say I love the idea of Chloe/Ollie and Clark/Lois babysitting for each other and those kids just. Living their best life not even bothered because they're always with some of their favourite people

What's the last thing you wrote in your notes app?

I don't use my notes app for much writing stuff, but my last note was a line from a fic I was trying to find again (I found it but I apparently did not delete the note.) Next one remotely fandom related is a series of quotes from CSI scenes (specifically Nick & Sara scenes for a series I never started before that moment faded into 911. One day I'm sure it'll come back from the war

Give some advice on writer's block and low creativity?

Gee. Hitting me with the tough ones here. Sometimes you really just have to fight for it. Find even any kind of plot point and try to work with it. It might not end the same way it started but who cares! Whatever helps! Also if you need to just put it aside and start/work on something else, do it! Try not to cave to the pressure of a certain deadline or wanting to provide for the audience. Your audience will love you no matter what and if they don't, they're not the audience you're looking for. I definitely had to not let myself feel pressured to post that Atlantis fic more consistently once I started. It's been a process. But I'm almost there.

🥤 ⇢ recommend an author or fanfic you love

You didn’t specify a fandom. 😂 I’ve been reading fanfic for 15+ years now. Some authors I do not read any more, however Sara’s Girl is an author I will always read, even though I do not consider myself part of the fandom anymore. Her weekly fanfics got me through some rough times and her weekly updates were what I would hang onto sometimes (and she knows all this – she’s someone from my FFnet/ LJ days and I made and sent a wedding present). And just typing that is clear evidence of why I feel like fandom has shifted, because I don’t feel that same sense of community anymore. It’s more about content creation and consumption than the community.

For TG the author whose fics I am slowly working my way through reading are @film-in-my-soul and it's always a treat to curl up and read their fics. (There are also 100+ fics and I'm about 80% of the way through).

I am a chronic re-reader. Also a commenter who tries to leave long comments, which means I prefer to not read on my phone as typing comments becomes more difficult. So I will often re-read fics on my phone.

I don’t post personal stuff this blog because I chuck all the stuff over on main, where I am pretty much an open book. 😂 People with ten minutes and the motivation can find where I work.

I guess that fact that I came out as bisexual when I was 16 (mid 1990s) and my parents were both very laid-back about the whole thing. Despite being with my husband for 24 years I have had more female sexual partners than male. I told my best friend I loved her, and she had to reject me (we’re still best friends and were each other’s head bridesmaids at our respective weddings).

For Hangster, the headcanon is that they allow themselves to be soft with each other. It takes them years to get there, and these softer sides are never exposed to others, but they slowly get there. (And yes, this is exactly where OAA is going).

Everyone in my family is currently well and healthy.

I’m in a job where I am valued and I enjoy coming to every day.

My mum, who has been dead nearly 17 years, was a LifeLine counsellor. She gave me a mug when I was 13-14 and it said:

"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday"

I basically take from that to mean "don't be borrowing worry/trouble", and she also taught me to direct my worry towards action and things I COULD change.

I have many life hacks that work for me personally, however that's just me. My lists and dice rolling and getting people to tell me what fics I should write - it's all about making myself accountable to other people. That would backfire horribly for many others.

❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?

If I dream up a fic plot, it usually eats away at me until I write it myself. As in, I cannot settle mentally until it is out there on a screen or piece of paper. I've been writing fic for over 30+ years and as creative outlets go it's one of my favourites. Involves less swearing than patchwork quilting at least.

My dad's is getting on in age and I am facing the very real reality that he will likely be gone in the next five years. I haven't needed my parents in decades, but neither am I ready to be parentless either. It always makes me sad knowing that my own children will never know my mother.

My main task is to protect the village from upcoming disasters, and to do so I spend most of my time being a scribe - writing down all the prophecies I see.

I own a great staff made out of wood covered in lichen and a variety of mushrooms.

I’m often seen wearing a white flowy gown, with puffy sleeves. It can be seen as a nightgown, and I don’t mind it as I love the comfort and appreciate the occasional naps I can take dressed as such.

What makes up my whole outfit though, is the great mushroom hat that I constantly wear. Very rarely will you see me without it. Few people know what my eyes look like as they are always obscured by my short wavy brown hair and hat.
