To explain why everyone arrived at the borderlands at different times:

Like any accident, its going to hit one person first before it hits the next. If someone is in a car crash, most likely the car with the passengers that's hit head on will end up in the borderlands first.

Shibuki was likely in the building that got hit by parts of that meteorite, which is why she had been in the borderland for days before. Tatta arrived it seems the latest out of the whole lot and that's probably due to being in a truck further away from the others.

I've already said I don't think Retry is supposed to be adding extra lore to the borderlands as Arisu only plays one game and then wakes up. But I think that the circumstances are completely different. One is a huge catastrophic event that nearly wiped out a city with hundreds of casualties and deaths.

Arisu's second time in the borderlands was a minor freak accident that only hurt a couple people. It wasn't on as wide of a scale. The borderlands themselves probably change based on what the situation is.

I know I've made so many posts about Shibuki but the misogyny against her and Akane's characters when the men don't get nearly as much hate...yeah I'm side eyeing that. I think tiktok is the worst for it because apparently no one on there has the critical thinking skills to think about the fact that the show hates the women.

The show didn't help its case by basically eliminating Shibuki from Arisu's memory when she's actually in it a lot. He imagines her sitting alongside them. He literally considered her as one of their friends in the group. Shibuki willing gave up her life for him in the manga because she had faith in him. The friendship there was so sweet. I'll never forgive the show for taking away her consent. It was a disgusting act. I don't know who wrote that episode but I hope you never write again actually.

Akane...oh my sweet girl. To cut out the fact that she had been living and surviving alone, the way she protects Doudou (by cutting Doudou out entirely) and adding that weird scene with Arisu? My god. Girl what did they do to you??
