Koutarou attends The Nutcracker for his sister, Kai, who's dancing as the Snow Queen.
This is her second year in the role, but he missed last time, so he’s so excited! He can’t wait to see his big sister dance!
And then he sees him.
In the role of the Snow King is a young prodigy named Akaashi Keiji. He’s a year younger than Koutarou, and his sister says Akaashi is “the best dance partner she’s ever had.”
Koutarou is immediately enamored. His eyes follow Akaashi wherever he goes on stage, despite Kai being the focal point of the routine. He’s lean, but obviously so strong, capable of lifting, throwing and catching his sister flawlessly. Effortlessly.
(Also, those tights look so good on him.)
Koutarou pretty much begs his sister to introduce them. “Please! I’ll do anything!” He cries as he unleashes the full force of his pout. “I don’t even care if he’s not available or interested in me! I just want to meet him!”
She finally relents after a week of his hassling. Koutarou attends the show again on closing night. He’s a bit nervous. The Nutcracker has been a huge hit, with critics and audiences alike praising the Snow Queen and King specifically. Akaashi’s name is on everyone’s lips; he's “the next big thing” in the Tokyo dance scene.
“Calm down, Kou,” Kai hisses as she leads him down the hall and towards the theater’s green room. “He’s just a person just like you. Trust me, it’ll be fine.”
Koutarou nods. Swallows. He holds his breath as they finally step into the room.
They find Akaashi casually leaning against the back wall, munching on an apple and swiping through his phone. Koutarou’s eyes roam his form. He’s wearing a cropped, midnight blue hoodie that cuts off at the hem of his black joggers, displaying his slim build. His feet are covered in a pair of beat-up sneakers.
“Keiji dear, do you have a moment?”
Akaashi looks up, and Koutarou sucks in a breath. The man has perhaps the prettiest eyes Koutarou has ever seen. A devastating mix of blue-green-grey, piercing, with heavy lids and long lashes.
Surprisingly, those eyes widen when as they land on Koutarou, and his mouth drops open. “Of course,” he nods, “um, hello.” His voice is like velvet, soft yet with a gravely texture that send a shiver through Koutarou. He also can’t help but notice that Akaashi is a few inches shorter, which forces the man to look up at him as they approach.
Oh my god, he's an actual angel.
Kai pulls her brother forward until the two men are a few paces apart. She squeezes his arm, a gesture she’s been using since they were kids to lend him comfort, encouragement. He leans appreciatively into the warm touch.
“It’s, um, it’s wonderful to finally meet you, Bokuto-san.”
Koutarou blinks, confused. Akaashi is addressing him as if he knows who he is. “Oh! Uh, it’s nice to meet you, too!” He grins sheepishly. “Did Kai tell you I was coming, or..?”
The man shakes his head. Now that they’re so close, Koutarou notices leftover sparkles and flecks of fake snow still clinging to Akaashi’s wavy black hair.
Enchanting.
“Well, I did know you were her brother… but I didn’t know you would be here tonight.” His eyes narrow at Kai, who chuckles.
“Keiji here is a big fan of volleyball,” she smirks at her brother, who nearly chokes at the new information. "He watched every single one your matches at the last Olympics. Apparently.”
“Really?!” Koutarou can’t believe his ears. Akaashi Keiji, the beautiful man who he’s been obsessing over the last few weeks, is a fan of him, too? It’s a bonafide Christmas miracle!
“Yes,” Akaashi’s lips twitch upward. It’s not quite a smile, but close. “I’ve, ah, been hoping Kai would introduce us someday.”
Koutarou beams. He can’t even be angry at his sister for keeping the secret. He’s just too happy right now. "I'm so glad she did!"
They end up at the closing night after party, sitting side by side in a booth, surrounded by family and friends. Conversation flows easily. Akaashi is rather quiet, but he seems content to just listen to Koutarou talk. He occasionally barks out a dry, sarcastic comment that only enamors Koutarou further.
He also smells nice. Like sandalwood and rose. Koutarou has to restrain himself from taking a big, long whiff.
“Y-you know, Bokuto-san,” Akaashi says, words slurring a bit from the whiskey shots he’d just downed. “I actually played a bit volleyball when I was younger.”
Koutarou gasps. “You did?!”
Akaashi giggles, then hiccups, and it’s the cutest thing Koutarou has ever heard. “I did,” Akaashi nods, “but only into middle school. Dance sort of took over my life after that. I’ve continued to follow the sport, though.”
Koutarou is having trouble containing his excitement. He grips his beer with one hand and reaches to grip Akaashi’s forearm lightly with the other. “You have to play with me someday!”
Akaashi snorts (wait, no, that is the cutest thing Koutarou has ever heard) and shakes his head. “I couldn’t possibly keep up with a pro player like you…”
“And I can’t keep up with your dancing,” Koutarou winks. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to do that with you sometime. If you want, that is...”
For a brief moment, Akaashi just stares, and Koutarou wonders if he’s being too forward. But then Akaashi’s lips settle into a sweet smile, and he glances down into his drink. His sharp cheekbones bloom with color. “Are you asking me on a date, Bokuto-san?”
Well then. Koutarou hadn’t expected things to progress this quickly, but sometimes, fate has other plans. “I mean,” he clears his throat, “maybe..?”
Akaashi looks up, and Koutarou is suddenly drowning. He swears his sees an entire future in those stormy eyes, just waiting to pull him under.
(And Koutarou would go, gladly.)
“I would love to,” Akaashi says, leaning forward to clank their glasses together. “Merry Christmas, Bokuto-san.”

Sinbound- Chapter 3
Summary: Problems are bubbling to the surface for Eddie and Y/n and this just might be Buck’s chance to swoop in.
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something unexpected happened over the course of last week. My book went viral all over social media and I was one of new york time’s bestselling children's book authors. My book was considered a bestseller and that meant a ton of interviews and talk-shows set up by my publisher and agent. It was almost everyday and sometimes they meant I went out of town. I had a panel in San Diego, then a panel in San Francisco, then an interview in Sacramento. The kids didn’t mind me working so much since that meant that Carla was back again but Eddie had a big problem with it. When he wasn’t working, I was, and vice versa. He also thought I was “overdoing it” with this constant traveling. So here we were once again, in the middle of the afternoon, having this same argument yet again. “I just don’t understand why we’re having this conversation again.” I shouted at Eddie.
“We’re having this conversation again for the sake of the baby.”
“Oh please Eddie. This isn’t about the baby. Peanut is just fine. I’ve been to the doctor more than once and each time she said everything is okay and cleared me for travel. Besides, it’s not like I’m leaving the state.”
“Then, please enlighten me, Y/n. What is this fight about?” He sarcastically questioned.
“Your ego.”
“My ego? Seriously? That’s the best you got?” Eddie exclaimed.
“Your ego is bruised because since I wasn’t working that much, I was your little housewife. What? You want me to go to the kitchen barefoot and pregnant with your spawn, put on an apron and pour you a scotch?” I proclaimed back at him.
“This is honestly laughable. I’m worried about you and the baby, that's all.”
“Eddie nothing is happening. I was working when you met me and I will continue to work years after that.”
“I get that Y/n, I do…”
I quickly cut him off. “ When I was pregnant with Alex, I was a student and I worked at a diner during the night.”
“This is different this time, Y/n. You’re older now and this is my baby as well. You need to understand there are two of us involved in this pregnancy.”
“I’m safe. We are okay.” I dropped my hands around Eddie’s shoulder. “Nothing is going to happen to us.” I went to give Eddie a kiss on the lips but he quickly backed away and went towards the key hook. “Where are you going?”
“To the gym.”
“The one time we’re both off you’re leaving? Seriously?”
“It’s not like we see each other anyways.” He said as he walked out. I stood there for a second when someone said my name.
“Y/n?” I jumped a little and turned around to see Buck standing there.
“Jesus, Buck. I forgot you were here. Did you and the kids hear all that?”
“No. I did but not the kids. I was in the bathroom and heard the last bit but the kids are in the spare room.”
“You mean the nursery that my dear baby daddy and I can’t seem to build.” I answered sarcastically.
“Yeah that room. Are you guys okay?” Buck questioned.
“Honestly Buck, I don’t know.” I went to sit down in the living room. “Can I be honest with you Buck?” He nodded his head. “It’s like Eddie and I take 1 step forward and 3 steps back. We had issues before the baby obviously, and I don’t know why I thought maybe things would get better when the baby comes.”
He crossed the living room and wrapped his arms around me. “It’s not your fault. Every relationship has its snags.”
I chuckled at his response. “It seems like all Eddie and I do is hit snags.” I leaned back in the chair. “Now, I’m gonna just relax on my day off because who knows when I’ll get an interview.”
“Is that all you’re doing today?”
“You got any better ideas Buck?” I asked.
“Actually, I do. Get dressed, we’re going on a date.” He calmly announced.
“On a date? You’re taking a pregnant woman on a date.” I teased.
“I guess I am. Someone has too.” He teased back.
“So is this a casual thing or you pulling out all the stops?”
“Who says I can’t do both?” He questioned with a raised brow. “Dress casual. We’re gonna have fun, I promise.”
“Not too much fun, I hope.” Alex chimed in from the hallway. Both Buck and I turned towards her voice and saw Christopher and her standing there. “So where are you guys going?”
“That’s a surprise for your mom. I’m sure she’ll tell you later.”
“You think the date’s going to be that good?”
“Oh I know it is.” He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at him and Alex cleared her throat.
“Anyways. You guys be safe.” She said as she pointed her finger at us.
“Don’t do anything we wouldn’t do.” Chris added. They walked back to the back of the house.
“I have no idea what that means but I’m going to get dressed. Meet you at your house or you going in that?”
“I have clothes in the car. I’ll get dressed in the kid’s bathroom.”
“Alright.” After getting dressed, I went in the living room and saw Buck sitting there on his phone. “How’s this?” I showed Buck my sundress, sweater, and sneaker ensemble. “My ankles are the size of grapefruits so these are the only shoes that fit me.” Buck hadn’t said anything yet. “I’ll change, it looks weird right.”
I turned to leave when Buck stopped me. “Sorry, you look great. Absolutely beautiful.”
“If I didn't know any better Buckley I would say you were flirting with me.”
“What if I said you were right?” He was dangerously close to me and we were just staring at each other. Buck started to lean towards me when the doorbell rang. “Umm, I’ll get it.”
Buck went to open the door and there stood Carla. “Well aren’t you two a sight for sore eyes.”
“Carla, it’s so good to see you.” I quickly wrapped my arms around her.
“Woah girl, watch that stomach. You almost took me out, but it’s good to see you too, baby.” She looked around and noticed the weird energy between Buck and I. “So where are you two going?”
“It’s a surprise. I’ll tell you about it when we get back.” I said.
“Yeah, we should get going. See you later Carla.”
“Later, Buck. Y/n, can I talk to you for a minute?”
“Of course. I’ll be out in a sec Buck.”
“Alright.” He walked out of the house and I turned my attention to Carla.
“What’s up?”
“Listen honey. I know both those boys and I love them to death. I hate being in this position but it’s obvious it’s unavoidable.”
“What do you mean?”
“The three of you.” I gave her a questioning look and she started to elaborate. “It’s obvious Eddie loves you or else you wouldn’t be starting a family together but Buck still loves you.”
“What? No he doesn’t.”
“Girl, I was born at night, not last night. He is head over heels in love, but it’s up to you to do what’s best for you and your family. I’m not telling you what to do or who to love but you gotta make things clear about where you stand with both boys or someone’s going to get hurt.” Carla ranted.
“I love Eddie Carla. Only Eddie.”
“I don’t think that’s true. Otherwise you wouldn’t be going on a date with your ex.”
“It’s not a real date, Carla. We’re both joking.”
“Yeah, but he hopes it can turn into more and I think deep down you do too.”
I was stunned for a moment but I decided to reply. “Carla, Eddie and I are together. We’re having a baby. Buck is my ex and the father of my child. That’s all.” I wanted to believe that but I don’t think I could. Eddie and I just kept running into a brick wall when it came to our relationship and Buck. Well, Buck was Buck. He was dependable, loving, and he was the same Evan I had loved all those years ago deep-down.
“Whatever you say, love, but if you want my advice…Do what’s best for you. Not everyone else? Now don’t let me keep you, go, enjoy your date.”
She left before I could say anything more and I went outside to where Buck was waiting in the car. “What was that about?”
“She just wanted to know if the kids had plans tomorrow. So she could set their bedtime right.”
“That’s weird I already told her what time the kids needed to head to bed.”
“Yeah, maybe she forgot. Let’s just go, you got a pregnant woman hungry over here.”
“Alright, bossy. We’re leaving.” Buck pulled out of the driveway and started to drive to our destination.
Tumblr media
I was wondering why he wouldn’t tell me where we were going. “I’m not telling you where we’re going because it would ruin the fun of it all. It’s supposed to be spontaneous.”
“What? How did you know I was wondering that?”
“You were biting your nails and bouncing your legs like you always do when you get nervous.” He reached over and gently grabbed my hand. “You need to relax.”
“Sorry.”
“It’s fine, but you don’t need to apologize.” After a 20 minute drive we got to where we were going. “Surprise.” Buck said, with a smirk.
“The pier? You know there's not much to do with a pregnant woman.”
“Actually I googled what you can do. We can go to the arcade, get some food, a merry-go-round, and finally the ferris wheel.”
“You really went all out huh?”
“Of course. Only the best for you. Let’s go.” He extended his hand for me to take and I gladly took it.
Tumblr media
After playing the arcade, riding the merry-go-round, Buck losing at least 20 bucks trying to win me a bear and getting a giant corn dog for peanut, Buck and I were walking to the ferris wheel hand-in-hand. “You know what I noticed?” He asked.
“What?” I said, still finishing the corndog and holding Buck’s hand.
“This is the first real date I’ve ever taken you on.”
“What do you mean? We went out together all the time?”
“Applebee’s and high-school parties aren’t exactly worthy dates. Don’t you think so?”
“Anywhere with you was considered a date for me. I mean, I was with you after all.” I said, looking into Buck’s eyes.
“Yeah, I guess so.” He was about to say something else when a man began to speak to us.
“You two, lovebirds. Would you like a picture?”
“Uhm, We aren’t…we’re not…”
“We would love one.” The guy ushered us near the ledge of the pier to where we were positioned right in front of the moon. Buck stood beside me and the guy quickly protested our poses.
“Oh come on. What are you, mormon? Put your arm around her kid.” I let out a giggle. Buck put his arm around my shoulders and the guy snapped the picture. “Alright let’s do one more. Plant a kiss on her.”
“Oh no. It’s not like that.” Buck was about to ramble on again when I gave him a small peck on the check and the guy snapped the picture.
The guy was looking at the two pictures he just took. “Beautiful. And I’m not just talking about your girl here.”  He showed us the pictures. “Here, free of charge.” He walked away.
“These are great pictures.” I said admiring Buck and I. “Which one you want?” I asked.
“I’ll take this one.” He took the one of me kissing his cheek with a shocked look on his face.
“Good choice.” I put both pictures in my purse for the time being and grabbed Buck’s hand. We made our way to the ferris wheel and we got on. “So, tell me why we actually went on this “date”?” I asked, looking at the view as we started to go up.
“What do you mean?”
“I’m asking why you asked me on the date, Buck.” I looked back over at Buck. “Seriously, what brought this whole date idea on.”
“You seem stressed lately and I know it isn’t good for the baby. I read about it.”
“You read about it? Where?” I said with a chuckle.
“In a pregnancy book. The one that they made a movie about I think?”
“You read What to Expect When You’re Expecting? All of it?”
“Yeah, the newer version.”
“Do you know how long I’ve been trying to get Eddie to finish that book. He’s been claiming he’s busy for the last month. Why would you read it?”
“I had some time here and there so I read it. Plus, I never really got to experience your pregnancy when you were pregnant with Alex, so I saw this as a chance in some way. Sorry if that’s weird or should I have asked first?”
“It’s fine Buck. Besides, you’ve been here for me just as much as Eddie.” I pulled Buck in for a hug. “I’m sorry about all of that by the way.”
“Y/n, we’ve been over this a million times. It wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t anyone’s. We were both young and made mistakes. Okay?”
“Alright.” The ride stopped while we were at the top.
“Can I touch the baby? Everyone else was always petting you so I never had a chance.”
I let out a laugh. “Of course Buck. You know the other night, during your party, you were rubbing it without realizing it right? Besides, I don’t think you’ll be able to feel anything.  Peanut’s not really moving. I think they’re asleep.” I grabbed his hand and placed it on my stomach. “They’re usually kicking right here though.
Buck’s hand basically engulfed my whole stomach. “This is great. Now I see why everyone else is always doing it.” I laughed again, which peanut didn’t like. They kicked right where Buck’s hand was resting. “Whoa.” He quickly took his hand off my stomach. “Did I hurt you?”
I laughed at his reaction. “No, of course not. They didn’t like that I was laughing while they were trying to sleep.”
“Oh,” He put his hand back on my stomach. “Sorry about that peanut. Uncle Buck’s just a natural comedian.” It was weird hearing Buck call himself the baby’s uncle. He was so much more than that. Plus, this guy once saw me naked.
“We’ve got to find another name for this kid to call you. “
“How you gonna do that? Google "names for my kid to call my ex”?” The ride started again after he said that.
“I don’t know but we got to find something. Uncle seems weird. I mean you’ve seen me naked dude.”
“That I have.” He continued to rub my belly. “I bet Eddie loves feeling this little one kick.”
“Considering you’re the first person to feel peanut kick I would say no.”
“What?” Buck started to talk to my stomach. “I’ve pissed you off so much I’m the first person you kick? I have that effect on women. So you must be a girl.”
“You and your daughter are both so sure that the baby is a girl.”
“What do you think it is?”
“I’m just hoping for a healthy baby. I wasn’t sure I was having anymore after Alex.”
“Why’s that?”
“Never meet the right person.”
“Well, I’m glad you have.”
“Yeah, thanks to you.” Buck looked finally stopped looking at my bump and met my eyes again. That weird energy between us we had at the house was back. Once again I felt like Buck was leaning over when the ride stopped and we were at the bottom. “We should probably head home now.”
“Uh, yeah, you’re right.” Buck and I got off the ride and headed back to the car.
Tumblr media
We drove home (after stopping for food again, because I’m eating for two, okay?) and Buck walked me to the door.
“Thanks for tonight.”
“Don’t mention it. I think we both needed it.”
“Yeah.” I turned to enter the house when Buck called my name. “Y/n… I wanted to say…” Before he could finish his statement, Eddie opened the door.
“Baby, thank god. I called you and you didn’t answer. I was worried.”
“My phone died. Plus, I was with Buck. Didn’t Carla tell you?”
“I know but I was calling to check on you and peanut. What did you guys do tonight?” Eddie asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist. If I didn’t know any better I would have thought Eddie was jealous of Buck.
“Went to the pier. Did a few things.” Buck replied, seeming uncomfortable.
“Yeah, Eddie I’ll meet you inside, I’m gonna finish talking to Buck.”
“Oh okay. I’ll be inside. See you tomorrow Buck.” He reluctantly headed back into the house.
“What were you going to say?” I asked.
“I was going to say you forgot to give me the picture.”
“Oh, are you sure?” Buck just nodded his head. I fished in my purse for the picture and handed it to Buck. “Here you go, good night Buck.”
“Night Y/n.” He walked away and I headed in the house. Eddie was in the living room waiting for me. “What’s your problem?”
“What? What are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about you coming outside and claiming me like I’m your property.”
“How did I do that? Putting my arm around you?”
“Oh don’t pull that. I’m not an idiot Eddie.” I walked away from the living room and went to our bedroom. “You’re staking your claim over me like some neanderthal. Over Buck of all people.”
Eddie got behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist again. He was cradling my stomach. “I wasn’t staking my claim over you. I just missed you, that's all. I promise.” He rested his lips on my neck and began to pepper me with kisses. “I’m sorry for earlier. I just don’t want anything happening to you too. Especially my little boy.”
“You and Chris think it’s a boy and Alex and Buck think it’s a girl. What am I going to do with you guys?”
“Love us for who we are.”
“Yeah, earlier said than done.”
Eddie chuckled at my statement. “Come on, let's head to bed.” Shortly after a shared shower, Eddie and I headed to bed. The whole night I couldn’t stop thinking about what Buck was maybe about to say. Was he going to tell me he loved me? If he did what would I have said or done? I love Eddie, I really do but my head was all over the place.
Tumblr media
Oh shit, Y/n’s confused about her feelings with the Eddie. Could Buck have a chance at winning her heart or is it already his?

Part Ⅳ The Port Mafia - Chapter 3.4
⚠ When Life Gives You Lemons . . . ⚠
3,253 Words
He tries to go as quickly as he can while Ougai stands outside the shower, reading an online news article aloud.
"An 18-year-old boy called Motojirou Kajii blew up his school's cafeteria with lemon-shaped bombs. He was the only one completely unharmed, despite being in the exact centre of the blast. The authorities have him in custody, but he has no living family, so they're going to lock him up in a mental institution." Ougai summarises. "What a waste, don't you agree?"
"And this requires our attention because . . .?" Yukichi asks, as he steps out. "Can you-" Ougai hands him a towel before he finishes his sentence, continuing his own thoughts.
"Because, this happened yesterday afternoon, and since then I've looked into the boy. He's brilliant in maths and the sciences, with exam scores off the charts. Furthermore, this isn't the first time he's blown something up, he has a proclivity for pyrotechnics, particularly with lemon-shaped explosives. A mind like his has no place rotting in a mental asylum, we could use someone like him, so why not go and investigate for ourselves?"
"Fair." Yukichi concedes. "Do you know why he chooses to use lemon-shaped bombs?"
"No, but there must be a reason, that's why we're investigating. We can even bring Ranpo-kun along if you like."
"Yes, I'm sure he'll enjoy the change of pace."
-
Just before noon, the three arrive at the mental asylum. Mori dressed in more casual clothes, as a psychiatrist, Fukuzawa as his bodyguard (warranted given the dangerous patients in the facility), and Ranpo, as Tarou, the police investigator.
The guard at the counter asks for ID and when Mori shows his medical licence, he asks no more questions.
'I thought this place was high security?' Ranpo thinks.
But it has more to do with Mori's intimidating stare than the badge itself, though it is amazing how many doors that small slip of paper can open.
A guard in a grey uniform leads them down the corridor to a room, one of the low-security cells. It has a metal door, but with a window and there appears to be a small cot in the cell too, more furnished than the padded white rooms you see on television.
'The old guy's intimidating. He would never pass as a plainclothes officer with that serious expression on his face. And what's with the other one? He looks young for a policeman, like a kid. An academy trainee maybe? The doc looks legit but I swear I recognise him from somewhere.'
"He didn't put up much of a fight. The mind doctors say he's a pyromaniac, not interested in physical violence, and there's nothing he can use to start a fire in the cell, so you're okay to go inside. I'll be right outside the door. This kid's a whacky one, he just rambles on about how he's the ambassador for the 'Grand Marshall of Outer Space' whoever that is?".
As they walk down the corridor Fukuzawa feels a tug inside of him, as if something is leading him forward.
When they enter the small room the boy is using a dry-erase marker to solve an equation on the wall. He turns, curiosity in his eyes, at their appearance.
"Hello, Motojirou-san. I am Mori Ougai. Have you heard of me?"
The boy puts down the marker. "Yup, sure have. What's an owner of a big company like Mori Corp doing here? Do you need a maths problem solved? How about: "if I were to drop some of my bombs from the roof of your building and explode them, what would be the approximate velocity of each shard of shrapnel?"'
"Hmm, an interesting inquiry. But, I'm more interested in your bombs than your maths."
"You mean my precious lemons?"
"You have a skill." Fukuzawa doesn't mean to voice his thoughts, but they come out anyway. A statement, not a question, somehow he just knows this boy is an ability user. Ranpo knows too. He deduced it as soon as he laid eyes on the boy.
Mori is surprised but doesn't let it show. "Precisely."
"That's right, I do indeed. It's called "Lemonade"! I can't be harmed by any lemon-shaped bombs, particularly the ones that I craft with my very own hands."
"Curious! Abilities really are such strange things aren't they?"
"The results of the universe's great experiment. We're all just test subjects."
"If that's the case, and we're being manipulated by the preset chemicals and nerve signals inside us, then nothing we do makes that much of an impact."
"Not in the long run, no. We're all just as inconsequential as . . . well even ants are more impactful than humans, all animals are.
"Then surely you wouldn't mind working for my organisation."
"I'm a little too young to be working for a corporation." he teases, "But I'd be interested in other types of work. However, I can't do much of anything while I'm locked up in here."
"It's settled then. I'm sure the warden we be to be rid of you. The less we discuss here, the better." Mori smiles, "Guard! We're done here."
The guard grimaces at being ordered around but leads them out of the cell and back down the corridor.
-
The next day Mori meets with the head warden of the asylum.
"Ikedo-san, I've come to speak with you today about a certain boy. Motojirou Kajii."
"What about him?" the warden says tiredly, the words sounding funny around the cigar dangling from his lips.
"I'm well aware that each ward you keep here costs you money to feed and house and clothe, and you must wonder why they bothered you instead of just sticking him in a penitentiary, no?"
"Yes, what's it to a guy like you?"
"I, or rather my company, is looking to buy him?"
"You want to buy a kid?" The warden isn't horrified or disgusted, but amused. He's no stranger to the black market, but "Why would you want him?"
"He has a brilliant mind and our research division could use some new blood. So, what do you say, I take him off your hands?"
"How much are you willing to pay?"
Mori smiles, he's done his research on the warden. The man is drowning in gambling debts. Having sudden money to pay them would be suspicious enough, he won't ask for any more than he needs.
"As much as it takes," Mori says, still smiling.
The warden proceeds to name an oddly specific amount, exactly as the mafia leader expected.
'What a bargain! ' Mori thinks as he signs the check, shaking the warden's ash-blackened hand with a well-practiced smile. He's thankful for his gloves.
By the end of the day, it's known that Motojirou tragically ended his life, the state of the body too distressing to show the public.
-
Once the police are satisfied that the bomber is sufficiently dead (an unclaimed body in the morgue helps in this ruse) they return to desperately fighting Yokohama's live criminals. A losing battle, as Yokohama is overrun with them. But . . . since a certain Hirai Tarou has begun consulting for the police the battle has seemed more and more hopeful. And something, some unknown greater force, is keeping Yokohama's underworld in line. The police are grateful, unaware that it is the new and improved Port mafia responsible for the peace.
It's almost midnight when Motojirou arrives at the Port Mafia. The goons escort him to the interrogation rooms, and funnily enough, a glass of lemonade is placed in front of him. It looks delicious. But as a scientist, Motojirou is sceptical of everything.
'A test maybe? I must assess the situation with logic.'
Before he gets a chance the door is opened by a beautiful girl. She must be a few years younger than Motojirou-san. The Angel of Death. Yosano Akiko.
'I wonder why Dad asked me not to wear my mask, I'd make this a whole lot easier. He knows nobody takes pretty women seriously. Was that the point? For me to be disarming, to calm him down or convince him to do something for us? Gosh, If that's what it is, I'll really kill him!'
She wears a blood-red blouse with a black velvet ribbon, a flowing black skirt and red heels. Her plait reaches down to her hips, adorned with red and purple butterflies, made from metal so thin they look as if they could take flight at any moment. They glint under the fluorescents, and so do her eyes, a fiery murderous shade of purple.
The scientist whistles, impressed by her looks, "Well, who might you be, madam?"
She smirks. "Your new boss."
He says nothing, for once at a loss for words, logic failing him.
She walks toward him, oversized cleaver in hand. "Do you know what they call me in the mafia?"
There's something about her that makes him pause, something that makes a shiver run through him, and suddenly the room seems much colder, "No?" It comes out as a question.
"They call me . . . the Angel of Death. Can you guess why?" She draws closer, leaning in, bearing teeth in a violent grin.
"Because you kill people." He guesses, determined not to be afraid. "But I'll have you know, I've never believed in angels. There's earth and space, nothing more, nothing less."
"Perhaps. But I don't kill, I fix."
"A healing ability, how rare. You must hold a high position?" he raises an eyebrow.
"Healing, huh? That's what I've always been told. But I disagree, because healing implies making something whole again, repairing, returning a thing to the state it once was, as you said, no more, no less. . . . What I do is not that. What I can do . . . is much worse."
Motojirou, for all his intelligence, doesn't understand.
"You have a healing ability, but you choose to kill, to go against nature." he says the last word with air quotes, sardonic humour lacing his tone, "If you're trying to defy God, you're wasting your time because he doesn't exist."
"No. Why would I bother with someone who's long forsaken me? He cast me out of society the day he gave me an ability, forever separating me from the natural world." She looks almost sad. She doesn't know why she's bothering to tell him this. Maybe because she thinks she'll get to kill him, maybe because she thinks a fellow academic will understand.
Motojirou shrugs, he can't fathom somebody who dislikes, much less resents their ability. "Don't think of it that way."
"What other way is there to think of it?" Yosano says before thinking, the words sharp on her tongue.
At her outburst, he smiles, not like his previous smirk but a look of pity. "Like you're better than them. Genetically superior, and stronger. Don't you know that we ability users weren't meant to exist with hoi polloi? Sure, we can mix and mingle with them, but at the end of the day, we are not the same. Ability users only have each other, common people will never understand the complexity that is us, and after the war, many resent and fear us. They can be our little experiments."
"What a thing to say! You're right. Ability users weren't meant to exist, we are the lesser, the cursed, and tableau monstrosities, yet here we are. We fight to maintain normality and coexist with others. You think that we're above others? How ridiculous. I've never met anyone so delusional! Ability users are the bottom, the rejects, the sign of a terrible world. We're here as a sign that changes need to be made."
"And so you kill people. What a way to prove you're normal."
"The Port Mafia is here to maintain peace in this city, without us criminals would run unchecked in the streets. Even the outcasts and rebels who denounce society and its structure need a leader. If they were allowed to continue as they were, roving and wreaking havoc without direction, this city would have crumbled into ruin. We are here to make peace, and perhaps profit a bit while doing so. Death is necessary, anyone who hasn't yet realised that is a fool. Those who defy us and threaten Yokohama's fragile order must die. But to have such a lack of regard for innocent lives, ones who are untouched by evil and uncorrupted by crime? If that is truly how you feel, then you shall die by my hand!"
"Your hand or your cleaver?" The joke is what Motojirou thinks is a clever way to hide his sudden and intense fear. Yosano looks positively murderous. Rage fueled by determination to be human, despite her ungodly ability.
"My ability is called Thou Shalt Not Die. It's fairly simple. I can heal any mortal wound, and return my patient to perfect health. However, if I wish to heal a minor wound, I must send my patient to a state of near death." She indicates her cleaver with her gaze, smiling darkly. "I am not in charge of interrogations, because after I've disassembled and healed victims a few dozen times they forget everything they know, and that would be pointless. I am in charge of executions. Those under my mercy cannot escape me via death. I can dismember them and return them as many times as I feel they deserve."
After a quiet moment, Motojirou says, "But, you won't do that to me."
"Unfortunately, no. I have been denied the pleasure of your death. Mori-san told me to take you to your new office."
"How kind of him, and you, of course."
-
The lift ride is deadly silent, as if no breaths are being taken and the beating of hearts have been temporarily suspended, lest the situation become awkward for the sound. The descent continues a seemingly endless controlled fall.
When the lift dings it opens onto an all-white level, not like what one would expect of a subfloor, but similar to the infirmary.
"This is your new workspace. You'll have anything and everything you need to produce your little bombs. Every surface is fireproof and the walls could withstand a nuclear bomb, yet somehow I'm sure you'll manage to destroy something. Do try not to blow the place up, will you?"
"Of course. This is my precious lemon lab."
Yosano rolls her eyes in disgust. She would show him around, but she knows he is probably more familiar with the equipment than her. Still, she doesn't trust him to be on his own, so she stands in the door, watching him fawn dorkishly over the state-of-the-art scientific equipment.
The lab is indeed state-of-the-art. Every surface is bright white and metal lab benches are full of newly bought lab equipment. Colour is added by the scientific books lining the shelves. A small section of the lab houses a greenhouse containing a few lemon trees giving the lab a nice citrus fresh smell.
There is something about the way Motojirou-san gets so excited over the lab, a childish sort of joy that reminds Yosano of what she lost, and of what she got back.
'For all his blabbering he does truly understand. Ugh. Gosh, I hate that. I hate that we're so similar but, I guess it can't be helped. This . . . this bliss is how I feel whenever I encounter a new method of medical practice or a new surgical tool. I suppose he and I are not so different after all . . . maybe having another academic in the mafia isn't the worst thing. I'll have to be careful though, he's a loose cannon.'
Deciding that for now at least, he's safe, she backs slowly out of the lab, returning to her office.
-
When she gets to the room the door is ajar. In the dark, her father figure waits for her.
"So, what did you think of Motojirou-san?" there's something in his voice that gives away the fact that he's not giving something away.
"He's a loose cannon." She answers honestly, voicing her thoughts from earlier, not having caught onto her father's meaning yet. "A bit annoying, but his job isn't to be agreeable, so it hardly matters, why?"
"Well, you're both part of the mafia's medical division, so it is at least somewhat important that you don't hate each other." Mori smirks, teasing his daughter.
'I don't hate Motojirou as much as I should hate someone who thinks how he does of humans, but there is no reason Dad needs to know that. Besides, there is a long way to go from not despising to finding them romantically appealing!'
Yosano feigns ignorance.
"True." is all she says.
"He's handsome, isn't he?" Mori says, openly smiling now.
"I have no idea what you mean."
"Ah, but, don't you?"
"Father, Shut. Up."
"Alright." he raises his hands in surrender as she pushes him out the door, "I'll just go back to my office and call the florist. I heard wedding bouquets were on sale. Isn't that just wonderful?"
"Father!"
"Would you like red or white roses?"
"I WILL dissect you."
"Ooh, so mean, you'll scare poor Motojirou-san off."
"I sure hope so, get out before I decide to do more than just scare you off." She brings her hatchet up in a sword-wielding stance taught to her by Fukuzawa.
Mori hurries off, chuckling, not really scared.
"Want me to kill him for you?"
This voice startles her, she hadn't noticed the 13-year-old boy waiting around the corner. His void-like brown eyes stare back at her. They're not large like most children's eyes appear to be, they're elegant and angular, already sharp and alert carrying none of the innocence of childhood.
"Not today." Yosano concedes her annoyance in favour of worrying for her younger colleague's sanity.
"Tch." He sighs, already turning away, "What a shame . . . I guess you're right though. I can't have the ideal death if he's not around to get me the special pills." he pauses, still turned away, thinking for a moment, his gaze settled on a sunbeam as it crosses the dark wooden floor. "Not like I couldn't steal them, but why waste the effort, you know?" he laughs, turning back again, "Goodbye, Akiko."
And with that he's gone, crossing the shaft of light and vanishing into the darkness. The way he says it makes her even more afraid for him. The words are hollow and haunting, simultaneously empty and intense.
'That boy . . . he's going to do something great. It'll probably be the bad kind of great but either way I don't think Yokohama will ever be the same after he pulls whatever trick he has out from under those bandages.'
"Akiko, are you alright?"
Yosano is once again startled out of her thoughts. 'Jeez, I'm so spacey. Good thing I don't go out in the field.' It's not fair of her to judge herself, anyone would be startled by the Silver Wolf's signature silent approach.
The wolf in question wears a kitsune-style mask resembling the dog his nickname refers to. The mask is grey with subtle white details, completely hiding the face of the wearer, the man's simple black yukata and haori aren't much help in identifying him either. The Port Mafia is kept in isolated chains of command to prevent identity leaks, but this is a face that most mafia members know, The cold canine eyes staring down, the long blade, intimidating even when sheathed. But Akiko knows the face behind the mask. A kind man with silver hair. The hidden second head of the Port Mafia, Fukuzawa Yukichi.
"Yeah. Do me a favour and tell your boyfriend off for me, okay." Akiko smiles at him. Referring to Mori simply as Fukuzawa's boyfriend was a power move that brings her a spark of joy even if the victim of the jab was not here to personally receive it.
Fukuzawa laughs slightly, "Of course. I knew he'd done something. He never smiles like that otherwise." Rolling his eyes at her, he continues his path to Ranpo's office carrying three newly purchased mystery novels.

nolan said what do u call a graff bro w no gf? …homeless…
We hooked up recently and it felt. Weird and distant and like i was ? High? Or dissociated? Not present. Maybe it was just hitting his damn vape. Shit has so much nic. I dont think i can do the whole casual sex thing especially not while i rebuild (or build? Did it ever exist?) a healthy relationship to physical intimacy.
Every time i try masturbate i start to think of cam and my stomach drops. Its like meditating or focusing on your breath and the same thoughts about your breathing start to make u feel faint or like ur not really breathing. I cut him off. He responded to my letter at 3 am clearly fucked up. Probably should block him. Cant leave the door ajar because the desire to open it again never rests. Not fully.
Substance abuse as accountability/excuse/apology.
Jack sent me his “detox” playlist today from rehab. As if that will just…close all the gaps?
What is it with these boys and wanting to show up just to share music and disappear back into the night? Or their drug habit.
The boys w out moms….always the boys w out moms or very fraught relationships w them.
Holly the hairdresser ive had since i was like 11 told me today that she was a slut before she met her husband. Her words not mine. And she says he doesnt rly know. That when things from her past come up she’s like….erp and tells him to cover his ears and im like…?! Cant imagine sharing my life w someone or having kids w someone who doesnt know like. Everything about me. She and i talked about how our first boyfriends/crushes in middle school haunt our dreams consistently. She said hers stopped when she looked him up on facebook and saw that hes a truck driver/trump supporter these days. She will be 50 this year. I dont think ill ever stop having dreams of nico. Even though hes puffy faced from alcohol now, and getting swallowed up by both his ego/clout/fame and his demons.
Things i thought about today that i want to write about. San quentin and its location. The old people holding political signs that i saw over 580 east and on the road side in Berkeley. Generational shit. Connection…lack there of. Road rage and kindness in the service industry/ interacting w strangers. Rural life.

A/N: I know it's been a while since I posted last. Here is the updated chapter (she is kind of long) and it's basically 5% plot where everything else is smut. I have been reading this same thing for over a week and spent most of today editing, so I hope it's fine! Please keep in mind again that I do not have a beta, and will highly miss a lot of things or even misspell them. I hope you enjoy the chapter!  Requests are still open! I currently write for Gojo, Geto, Nanami, Toji, Sukuna and Choso. Please make sure I can see your age on your profile, otherwise you will be ignored (minors dni)
- - -
(Three Years Ago)
“Looks like someone is being spoiled…”
You glanced around your apartment that has been completely decorated in flowers. You started grinning like an idiot thinking of Haru’s promise to give you a garden before replying, “ it’s a long story... ”
“ Soo , things worked out after the failed anniversary dinner?” Gojo questioned, noticing the way you shyly bit your bottom lip as you returned your attention back onto the T.V. screen.
“ Yes, they did …” you answered casually, still holding that pretty smile on your lips. You were clicking the button on the remote as you switched between movies to pick one to watch for the evening. “I don’t think I gave you the full update…”
Gojo took a sip of his melon soda, before leaning back comfortably against your couch. “No you did not. Last time we spoke you told me you were going away for the weekend. So tell me, how did prince charming work his way back into your good graces?”
Hakone , the weekend getaway; memories of you and Haru’s trip flooded back to your mind. The onsen experience, strolling through nature by day, visiting art galleries and losing sleep at night just to make love…
“It was… perfect.” you whispered breathlessly, your heart skipping a beat after you gave Gojo the brief explanation.
“ How romantic… ” the sorcerer replied, doing little to hide the hint of sarcasm in his tone.
You rolled your eyes at his comment, nudging your elbow playfully into his stomach. “Don’t be such a killjoy…”
From behind his dark frames, Gojo was reading your body language when you spoke. He pressed his lips together, not wanting to take away the happiness you were basking in and burying the thought that lingered his mind.
“You really love him, don’t you?” he asked again, his eyes glued onto you as he patiently waited for your reply.
Your cheeks went warm and your reaction was to adorably bury your face into the palm of your hands, desperately trying to fight off the butterflies swarming in your stomach. You leaned back on the couch next to your friend, dropping your hands down by your sides as you tilted your neck to face him.
“ Hopelessly so… ”
Gojo swallowed hard, a sinking sensation pummeled through his gut upon hearing your words. Your eyes flickered when you noticed how his expression hardened but he quickly switched to a big grin.
“As long as you’re happy … ” he reassured, giving you a thumbs up.
“I am, very much so …”
“ Good!” Gojo replied, but the word tasted sour in his mouth and he quickly changed the subject. “Now let’s get back to picking our movie…”
What the hell am I supposed to do now? he thought to himself, the disappointment weighing heavy on his heart.
I can’t tell her yet…
I’ll just have to wait...
(Present)
Gojo was exhausted. His day was tiresome and everything seemed to be getting on his last nerves. His morning started off on a bad note thanks to the higher ups. Itadori Yuji swallowing one of Sukuna’s fingers was not what he expected but now he had a problem on his hands involving the life of another teenager.
A talented kid at that, Itadori definitely had potential...
Gojo was good at hiding his frustrations from his students, and even from some of his peers. However, the minute he stepped into the lobby of his apartment building, the weight of his day came crashing down on his shoulders. He exited the elevator, slowly making his way over towards his apartment door but paused for a second before entering inside the safe haven of his home.
He immediately sensed your presence.
You called him earlier when he was at the school, asking if you could stop by his place to pick up something that you had forgotten.
“Just ask the security to let you in, I’ll give them a heads up and inform them... ” Gojo distractedly replied before ending the call.
He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly to himself, thinking that maybe you decided to stick around and hang out at his place.
“What are you still doing here?” he asked, as he stepped through the threshold of his front door. “Did you really miss me that mu-uhhhhhh…”
Gojo dropped his keycard on the floor, his mouth agape as he took in the sight of you standing before him. His heart literally stopped beating for a whole second and the sorcerer found himself frozen in the entrance of his living room.
“ Gojo-san,” you purred, turning your heel from the large glass window you were wiping and smiling as you faced him directly. “ You’re home...”
Catching the great Gojo Satoru by surprise was something rare but you managed to do it with ease because he always had his guard down around you.
Gojo admired the outfit you were wearing. Your black dress was short, very short, with the bodice buttoned all the way up to your neck and little puffy sleeves covering your shoulders. The white apron you were wearing over it was trimmed with little frills, matching the detailing along the collar. His mouth went dry when he reached your legs covered in a pair of stockings but he noticed the single garter wrapped around your thigh adorned with a tiny bow. You were wearing black pointed high heels to match the ensemble, adding a decent amount of inches to your height. The cherry on top was the white silky headband that was pulling back your beautiful hair.
Gojo had given up on your promise weeks ago, thinking there was no possible way you might actually follow through with his idea.
Yet, here you were , dressed up in a french maid outfit.
You placed the cloth in your hand in the basket on your floor. Your heels clicking against the wooden surface and echoing around his quiet penthouse apartment as you approached him, holding your head high as you confidently nestled into the role you were playing.
You gripped his attention, but couldn’t see how shocked he was from behind his dark sunglasses. As you stood in front of him you bent down to pick up the key card before elegantly standing upright and holding it up to his face.
“You dropped this,” you stated quite matter of factly, batting your lashes at him innocently.
The man had been rendered speechless.
You raised your brow as the seconds passed, waiting for Gojo to say... something.
He could sense your heart beat increase, as you shifted your weight from one leg to the other and you nervously glanced away from his direction. You dropped the act for a minute as you placed your hands around your waist to look down at the outfit you were wearing.
“ Uhm … did I do this wrong ? This is the only outfit I could find online that was even close to the idea you had and it took weeks to actually get here. I can...I can try to find another dress if this isn’t what you li-”
Gojo cupped your face in his hands, interrupting your comment and tilting your head up so you were looking at him as he snapped himself out of the trance you seemed to have put him under.
“No! No, no no …you look… fuck… you just caught me by surprise…” he replied, a wave of excitement rushing through him as he stumbled over his words. He proceeded to lower his sunglasses so you were met with azure eyes, softening his gaze as a cheeky grin spread across his gorgeous face. “You look ...perfect…”
He stretched out that last word, ensuring to savour every part of you. Your face grew warm but you couldn’t help but smirk with approval that all your hard efforts into this costume worked their magic on your friend.
“Really?” you questioned in a hopeful tone, reaching for his wrist and giving him a squeeze. “I’m glad! You worried me for a second…”
Gojo leaned forward to kiss you, the heavy weight he bore when he stepped into his home dissipating as he tasted you on his tongue. Once he had his fill of you, he broke away from the kiss before casually walking backwards and instructing, “don’t mind me, I’m just going to step out for a second so we can properly start this over…”
You giggled before turning around and making your way back to your position next to his window. Gojo noticed your white slip peak from under your skirt, and he gently bit down on his knuckle unable to contain his own anticipation.
This is going to be fun, he thought.
When he stepped back inside his apartment it was with a totally different demeanor. He cleared his throat as he made his way over, noticing your face playfully light up before repeating your initial greeting:
“ Gojo-san, you’re home... ”
***
One hour.
You had the man stirring for an entire hour.
Gojo didn’t think you would take this as seriously as you did but you were putting on a performance for him.
At first he sat in the living room, watching you mindlessly wipe his spotless windows and bending over ever so slightly for him to peep under your skirt. He impatiently tapped his finger against his thigh, knowing full well that he was not allowed to touch you unless you touched him first .
That was the rule you both agreed on.
When Gojo realised that you weren’t planning on giving in so easily, he used the moment as an opportunity to change out of his uniform but that didn’t stop you from being a tease.
While he was in his room, he switched to a pair of comfortable sweatpants and just as he was about to slip on his hoodie, you barged into his bedroom.
“ I’m sorry to intrude…” you announced innocently, sauntering your way over with your eyes lingering on his abdominal muscles and lifting up his half-filled laundry basket. “ I just needed to wash these…”
Gojo pressed his tongue to his cheek, shaking his head at you as he moved to his drawer to replace his shades with his blindfold, knowing full well you were going to draw this out for as long as you can.
Maybe this is payback…
Gojo returned to the living room, his eyes fixated on the television screen as a way to distract himself from you.
After you did a few meaningless chores, you picked up the feather duster from your equipment basket and directed yourself into his line of sight. You began to “ dust ” off his shelves, swaying your hips deliberately from side to side as you walked in front of him.
“ I hope you don’t mind me in your way, Gojo-san …” you said serenely, flicking the duster over the random items on his shelf.
“Not at all…” the sorcerer replied, his voice smooth as silk when he spoke. “But you should know you missed a spot…”
You raised your brow as you glanced over your shoulder to meet his stare.
“ Oh ?”
Gojo spread his legs further apart, resting his long arm on the back of the sofa before bringing his other hand forward to point high on his shelf.
“Right there,” he indicated.
You hummed to yourself, knowing full well that Gojo wanted to see more of what you were hiding underneath your outfit. As you stood on your tiptoes, you deliberately arched your back to stick out your rear in his direction.
Gojo trapped his bottom lip between his teeth, humming in approval and deciding in that moment just how he plans on eventually fucking you in this cute outfit of yours.
“A little higher…” he commanded, forcing you to stand on your tiptoes as you “cleaned” his top shelf, and he felt himself harden against his pants when the fabric of your dress just barely covered your ass.
The minutes passed, dragging slowly until the sorcerer found himself growing impatient. The longer you were making him wait, the more cruel he was planning on delivering his own punishment in return.
“May I get you some water, Gojo-san?” you asked him, snapping him out of his own thoughts as you made your way over to the kitchen. “You look a little thirsty…”
Oh yes, he definitely wasn’t going to hold himself back…
“ Please…” he said through gritted teeth.
You made your way over to the kitchen, pulling out one of the random trays he had and placing a glass right in the middle. You fill it up with ice before pouring in the water, then lifting up the tray and making your way over to him.
“ Here you go…” you offered, but instead of picking up the glass with your fingers, you deliberately knocked it over, allowing the cool liquid to pour all over Gojo’s lap.
The man hissed, surprised that you caught him off guard yet again with your tactic. The water pooled between his thighs, making his muscles tense up even more.
You captured your bottom lip between your teeth, the goosebumps running up and down your arms when you noticed the outline of his dick against his sweatpants.
Staring at him with your knowing, apologetic eyes, you proceeded to say, “I’m so sorry, let me get something to help you dry up…”
When you returned, you found your place down on your knees in front of him. You pressed the dry towel against his inner thigh, earning a grunt in response because your touch was close to his growing erection.
Your other hand glided up his calf, sending your message across as Gojo’s eyes widened when that same hand replaced the towel.
Fucking finally, he thought, no longer frustrated by his own desire or the fact that he was now soaking wet.
“I can dry these with the rest of the clothes…” you explained, lifting yourself upright on your knees. “I’m going to have to take these off..”
You hooked your hands around the waistband of his sweats, pulling them down his lean legs and removing them.
“What about these?” Gojo asked, tilting his head towards his tented boxers. “I’m soaked all the way through…”
“ Uhm… of course!” you chirped, as you removed the second article of clothing. “I’ll get these dry for you right away…”
As you tried to stand up, Gojo reached for your forearms and dragged you back down on the rug.
“What about this?” he asked, directing your attention towards the length of his swollen cock.
“I-I don’t know if I can help you with that,” you teased, averting your gaze as you feigned shyness.
“I pay you to use your hands, don’t I?” Gojo questioned.
“ Yes, Gojo-san …”
“Then you should do whatever it takes.”
Gojo could have sworn he saw you smirk but you were swift to hide your reaction. You brought your hand to his length as you began to stroke upward, circling your thumb around his swollen tip. Your other hand teasingly traced a vein up and down his shaft, and Gojo exhaled as his body relaxed against his plush sofa.
You squeezed his cock, feeling the width of his hard member as you continued teasing his head. You spread the pre-cum all over the tip, before bringing your lips down and replacing your thumb with your tongue as you swirled around the head before finally sealing your mouth over him.
You gently suck, your cheeks hollowing but you remain focused on just his head. The hand that isn’t holding his shaft moved to his thigh, where you gave him an eager squeeze as you tasted him in your mouth.
Meanwhile, Gojo leaned his head back against the sofa, closing his eyes as he hummed with relief. The low rumble of his voice spread down his abdomen, and your ears perked upon hearing his satisfied reaction.
You released him with a pop, before adjusting your position so your forearms were now resting over his thighs.
Gojo was average in thickness but his length definitely made up for it and you wanted to get comfortable before taking him all the way in.
You guided him into your mouth, easing him down inch by inch as you bobbed over his impressive length. Your hands pressed into his thighs, a small whimper escaping you as your teeth grazed lightly over his cock while you expertly worked him.
“You keep doing this and I might consider increasing your pay…” Gojo murmured, half-drunk with arousal as he began losing himself to you.
You quickened your pace, ignoring the discomfort in your jaw as you let him fuck your mouth. Gojo reached his hand to the back of your neck, gently stroking you with his slender fingers as encouragement. His chest began to rise and fall as his breathing grew heavier.
“ Keep going …” he coaxed, his voice shaking and growing tender. He rolled his hips in rhythm to your movement while your hands began massaging his legs and working their way high up to his pelvis.
His fingers curled around your hair, your throat burning but you kept going not wanting to disappoint your esteemed employer.
“ Mmm , F-fuck… ” he whined, his words sweet in your ears as he reached his peak.
Gojo’s hips bucked into you and he held you in place, releasing thick ropes of cum in the back of your throat as he moaned.
His grip was tight around your head and you tried not to gag as you swallowed everything he gave you. You slowly retracted him out of your mouth, desperately catching your breath in between small coughs as you settled yourself.
“Such a beautiful mess…” Gojo complimented as he looked down at you from where he was sitting.
Your chin was covered with  your saliva, your perfectly styled hair unraveling from his grip and your smokey eye makeup smudged. Gojo flicked his fingers in his direction, ordering you to get on his lap.
Your knees hurt when you stand up, the cheap fabric of your stockings already wearing from the friction against the rug. You spread your legs as you straddled him, lifting the hem of your dress up as you adjusted your position.
“ Well, well…what have we here… ” he cooed when you flashed him. “Hold your dress up for me…”
Your face grew hot but you obediently obliged as you bunched up the dress to your waist, giving Gojo a full view of your stockings that covered your bare pussy.
Gojo dragged his index finger along your slit, your arousal stringing on the tip of his finger as he pulled away from you.
You were completely soaked through.
“ Do you always show up to work without any underwear on?” he teased, bringing his finger back between your legs  and pushing the material of your stockings between your lips.
“Only when I know I am seeing you…” you replied seductively.
“Is that so?” Gojo mused, biting his bottom lip as he focused on his finger circling your folds. “How professional…”
“Actually I'm very unprofessional. I have something to confess, Gojo-san …” you whispered, dropping your dress as you placed your hands on his broad shoulders. You leaned forward, brushing your lips against his ear before stating, “…I touch myself whenever you’re not home .”
Gojo froze his movements. You were doing everything he described when talking about this particular fantasy: the hot maid that he comes home to who teases him into fucking her.
Oh, and you were playing the role beautifully.
“Did you do that today?” The man questioned, directing it towards you and not the character you were pretending to be.
You giggled in his ear, “ twice .”
A deep chuckle rumbled in his chest, his free hand that wasn’t between your legs reached for his blindfold. He lifted the fabric, where a pretty blue iris was staring at you with sheer adoration.
“ Oh, angel, you continue to surprise me…”
“None of that, yet…” you announced, covering his eye as you pulled his wrist away. “ We’re still playing, Gojo-san.”
On that reply, Gojo reached for the band of your stockings. He ripped the flimsy fabric with his strong hands, tearing it straight down the middle before picking you up and laying your back against the arm rest.
“I’m going to have to start putting security cameras around the place,” he added, getting back into the role as he slipped off his hoodie. “But I think I would prefer seeing you with my own eyes…”
He instantly noticed the way you checked him out, your gaze hungry for his body. He lifted up your dress, bunching it up at the waist to reveal your torn undergarment. Your sweet pussy was glistening with your arousal and Gojo licked his lips with anticipation. He raised one of your legs over the sofa, leaving the other  to dangle off the side and exposing you completely to him.
“ Touch yourself.”
You brought your fingers to your fold, working your throbbing clit as you closed your eyes. Your body was electric, riled up to the point where you were already so sensitive as you rubbed yourself. Soft whimpers left your lips and Gojo held your knees apart as he watched you masturbate.
“Are you always this quiet?” He teased, “A dirty slut like you begging to be fucked…I’m sure you get louder than that…”
If you weren’t so heated by everything that was going on, you would have been caught off guard by what he was saying but instead you moaned at his derogatory words.
The character you were playing began blending in his mind with your own person, his dear friend, and the thought of you eagerly pleasing him made the blood rush between his legs, his arousal making him harden again.
“You hear that?” Gojo continued, knowing full well how much you enjoy his dirty talk and pointing out the way your pussy squelched as your fingers drove themselves inside you. “You’re so fucking wet and I hardly even touched you. Are you that needy already? Are you that desperate for someone to fuck this pussy of yours?”
“Y-yes…”
“Do you call out my name when you make yourself come? Do you beg for it?”
“ Mmmm, yes, Gojo-san…want you so bad …”
“If you want me to fuck you, you little slut , you’re going to have to tell me how much you want it…”
You gasped, your free hand reaching to massage your breast over your uniform as you finally opened your hazy eyes to meet Gojo’s. Your heart was racing, your body gyrating against his sofa as you slipped your fingers between your folds.
“ Mmahh, Gojo-san, I want you to fuck me on this couch. I want to feel you inside me. P-please, I need you inside me…so fucking bad…I can’t…I ca-” you voice pitched as you increased the speed of your movements, rolling your hips in circles and your dropped your head back against the arm rest.
You came all over your fingers, your orgasm hitting you hard, as you sang your noises of pleasure. You were trembling against the chair, panting heavily as you pulled your fingers from between your legs.
Gojo flipped you on your stomach, unable to hold himself back any longer. Your hands were on the arm rest, your knees pressed into the plush cushion as you spread yourself as wide as you could for him. Usually, Gojo would enjoy taking this time to lick your sweet cunt clean but he was barely holding on himself after what he witnessed.
The tip of his cock teased your lips, before he slipped himself inside you with ease, coating his entire length with your arousal. Your eyes widened as you looked at him over your shoulder with slight panic.
“Satoru, you’re not wearing a…”
“I’ll pull out…” he replied, holding your hips up before snapping roughly into you.
You were dizzy, completely functioning on your urges without giving logic any thought. If it was anyone else, you would have stopped but Gojo wasn’t just anybody and the man had quite the control over his own body.
You cried out feeling your walls clench around him. He was moving hard and fast, fucking you roughly on his sofa, with every push harder than the last and leaving your legs trembling as you tried your best to hold yourself in place for him.
He drags his length out of you, ensuring that you felt every inch before wildly plunging back inside. You could feel yourself dripping down your thighs against your stockings, your nails digging into the sofa as you whimpered.
Your drenched cunt made it so much easier for Gojo to fuck you but his slightly sadistic mind was forcing you to feel it more.
Your toes curled inside your pointed heels, your back arching as speckles of black clouded your vision. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as your hips jerked when your orgasm compounded into you, making you drop down to your forearms as you were unable to counter your explosive release.
Gojo was covered in your juices and with a few sloppy thrusts he finally pulled himself out before finishing himself off by pumping spurts of cum all over your back, decorating your outfit with his release.
The man didn’t stop there. Instead, he flipped you onto your back bringing his hands to the buttons of the top half of your dress and ripping it apart.
Your chest was bare, covered in a bra that he tugged down until it was resting underneath your breasts. He brought his insatiable lips to your mound, rolling your pointed nipple between his thumb and index finger before closing his mouth over the other nub.
You were shaking underneath him, unable to handle any more stimulation as he pinched one nipple and peppered the other with kitten licks.
Gojo did it until he was hard again, leaving marks all over your breasts as he pushed himself inside you. He held your legs apart but you barely had anymore energy to keep up with him. Instead you kept him motivated with your pleasured mewls, praising him for all his glory.
“ Harder, please…harder….”
Gojo stopped, holding himself inside you and feeling you pulsate against him. He ensured to drag the seconds out making you whimper with impatience as you were desperate to have him continue.
“ Gojo-saaan…” you pleaded, tears pricking  your eyes as you wailed for mercy. “Don’t stop fucking-ahhhhhhh …”
You couldn’t even finish until he was thrusting inside you again. Fucking you to the heavens and back with the same intensity he did earlier. When he pulled out of you as he climaxed, he finished himself off all over your cunt, marking you with his essence.
***
Steam covered the glass door surrounding you, the warmth engulfing your body as you and Gojo stood in the hot shower together. Your body was sore but in the most pleasant way possible and you allowed the water droplets to massage your skin, closing your eyes as you exhaled and enjoying the amazing pressure from Gojo’s  shower.
You only opened your eyes when you felt Gojo’s large palm on your stomach, bringing you into his torso as he leaned down and kissed your ear.
“Did you have fun?”
The knot in the pit of your stomach twisted, sending shivers down your back from his question. He treated you with so much kindness after you both slept together. He sang you praises, telling you over and over how good you were to him as he took his time to clean you up, not allowing you to even lift a single finger while he used the time to focus on taking care of you instead.
You turned around to face him, your eyes gazing up at that unjustifiably handsome face that was uncovered because he had his hair slicked back.
“Surprisingly, I did…” you teased with a smile, placing your hands on him, as you delicately traced your fingers up and down his forearms.
His height was overbearing now that you didn’t have your heels on, and the sorcerer found himself tilting down just to look at you. His fingers pressed into your lower back as the silence filled the space between you both. Gojo used it as an opportunity to bring his lips down to meet yours, indulging himself with a kiss. He picked you up in his strong arms, before holding you against the grey tile of his bathroom wall. You moaned into his mouth, playing with his tongue as your hands reached for his neck.
“So, tell me, angel… ” he whispered into your mouth in between a kiss. “What kind of fantasies do you have?”
“Uhm, I don’t really have any fantasies…”
You felt his fingers underneath your chin, tilting your head back so you were looking him in the eye.
“You know, if you tell me , I can return the favor…” he stated, flashing his pearly whites as he gave you an easy grin.
“You’ll think it’s stupid…”
“Try me.”
You rested your head against the tile, playing with the back of Gojo’s hair as you cleared your throat.
“Uhm, so , back in college there was this professor that I had. He was extremely good looking, I think everybody in our class had a crush on him. I realised I did too because everytime I would try speaking with him, I always jumbled up my words or said the wrong thing. It was super awkward…I mean, he wasn’t awkward but I definitely was…”
A small laugh escaped you but Gojo was still listening attentively.
“Anyway, I never told anyone. I was with Haru and always felt like I was being a terrible girlfriend because I was just so attracted to my professor. He was also the sweetest guy, was married and had three kids…” you sighed as Gojo grazed his hand across your thigh, blushing before admitting, “…but I used to think about him taking me on his desk all the time. Like, it got to the point where I had to drop his class because he was too much of a distraction…”
Gojo chuckled, “oh, you dirty slu-OW!”
You tugged at his earlobe, pouting to stop yourself from laughing at his snide comment.
“That’s what you get,” you replied, before loosening your grip and dropping your hand to his pecs.
“Relax, it takes a slut to know one. There is no need to get offended!” he teased, shifting the joke onto himself and you couldn’t help but giggle. “Okay, so you’ve got a little thing for a teacher/student scenario?”
“Just a little…”
Gojo brought his lips to your neck, planting small kisses upwards until he murmured against your ear.
“As a teacher myself, it will be my utmost pleasure to be your sensei for an evening,”
“You don’t have to…”
“You're not forcing me, angel. I want to,” Gojo insisted, his lips now hovering above yours. “Besides, I’m your friend, right ? We take care of each other, that’s what friends do.”
You nodded in agreement, your eyes dropping down to his lips as you patiently waited to taste him on your tongue.
“Since you did a stellar job with me tonight, let me do the same for you… ” he whispered, taking your bottom lip between his teeth and nipping at it gently.
You squeezed your legs tighter around his torso as you held him close, feeling faint when Gojo kissed you again like he was pulling the oxygen straight out of your lungs.
And yet, you had no desire to let him go.

Ushijima Wakatoshi
I feel like our ushi gushy would be in on it
But only bc Tendou influenced him telling him it's what ppl do nowadays
“Wakatoshi-Kun ur not throwing hard enough I don’t think she heard it”
And he would just look at him n be like “ok”
THEN THROWS IT W THE SAME STRENGTH HE USES TO SPIKE
AFSDGHJK RIP Y/N
It definitely did not only smashed thru ur window, it winds up denting ur wall
“Wakatoshi-kun~” Tendou’s cheerful voice pops into Ushijima’s dorm. “It’s time to give me back this week’s “Jump”! I brought a new one, it’s a bit different from what I’ve been giving you to read!”
“I’ve just finished reading “Removes Unnecessary Hair and Leaves Skin Feeling Silky Smooth” Ushijima replies monotonously with said manga in his grasp.
“You’re still reading the adverts? I told you last time to just focus on the manga.” Tendo takes the shounen manga from Ushijima’s hands and closes it. “This one is sure to keep you focused on the story this time! Plus, it may help you with your lack of romance situation.” He says as he plops a copy of a popular shoujo manga in his friend’s palms. “Anyways, I got to go, tell me your impressions later~” Tendo strolls out, letting the door to Ushijima’s dorm shut on its own.
Ushijima watches the door shut, before turning his attention back to the manga his best friend spontaneously left in his hand. ‘Lack of romance?’
The following day strolls around and Tendo is first to greet his friend. “Wakatoshi-kun~” Ushijima turns and greets him back with a low “good morning” before continuing his pace to class.
“So, tell me what did you think of the manga I gave you the other day?” The red haired man says, stretching his arms over his head, giving the stoic man a quirky smile as he makes his way to his seat. Ushijima opens his leather bag to take out the shoujo manga Tendo gave him the other day, handing it to his friend before replying. “It was pleasant.”
Tendo blinks before letting out a restless sigh, taking the pink-covered manga from his friend’s hand before plopping into his seat, head down to the desk. “ “It was pleasant?” What are we going to do with you Wakatoshi-kun, and to think I had hope when you told me you were finally going to confess to y/n.”
Ushijima stays silent, watching his friend.
Tendo looks up, a hand under his chin, before turning back to his buddy. “Have you thought of how you were going to confess yet?”
Ushijima lets out a low “no” before Tendo goes back to losing it over his friend. “That’s what the manga was for! I thought it’d help you come up with an idea…”
Ushijima stays silent, watching his friend break down once again. Before turning his gaze to the door, as you stroll in greeting your classmates a “good morning” before settling down at your desk. Of course you don’t go unnoticed to Tendo as well, he caught his friend turning his head towards your direction the moment you walked in. You give a small smile and wave to both Tendo and Ushijima, Ushijima giving back an awkward yet sincere small smile and wave. The sweet look of innocence and love linger on his best friend’s face, even after he turned around to face the board’s direction. Tendo can’t leave his friend unhelped, especially not with that god-awkward smile he gave you. Then pwoosh an idea strucks him.
“Wakatoshi-kun” Tendo whispers, catching the attention of his friend, before leaning into his ear.
“Tendo.” “Wakatoshi-kun!” Tendo sprints lightly towards his friend, both freshly changed into their casuals, after the day’s worth of volleyball practice. It’s barely half past 6:30pm, the two tall men stand outside your dorm’s building. “Follow me~” Tendo begins to walk off around the corner, stopping just a few windows down, then looking up, pointing towards a window that is slightly covered by (insert ur fav color) curtains, and a few stickers stuck to the glass of the window. The lights were on, letting them know you were in your dorm. Ushijima visibly tenses up after reaching where his friend stood. “Don’t worry, this is their room, I know those animal crossing stickers from anywhere.” Tendo reassures his friend. Ushijima slowly relaxes before bending down to pick up a rock. “Is this okay?” he asks his friend, just remembering the short flashback of what his friend whispered into his ear earlier that day.
“Wakatoshi-kun~” Tendo calls out to his friend, then leaning in towards his ear. “I have an idea! Semi was telling me about this scene from a romance movie he saw last week. It’s what all the cool kids do in America to get the attention of the person they like!” Explaining the details to his friend, before the bell rang signifying that class has just begun.
“Yes! That rock looks perfect, now aim for their window!” His friend lets out a clap before shooting his fingers towards your window.
Ushijima adjusts his stance, getting ready to toss the rock towards your window. Tendo watches in anticipation, as Ushijima finally lets go of the rock after sending it flying up. The rock lightly taps your window, the two wait restlessly, feeling as 5 minutes have passed,  but really was 30 seconds.
Tendo picks up the same rock from the ground and places it in Ushijima’s left hand. “Wakatoshi-kun, you’re not throwing hard enough! I don’t think they didn’t hear it.” The tall man nods as began to adjust himself once more, putting all his energy into the rock in his left hand, determined to grab your attention. but just as he lets go of the rock, the window opens, and reveals you standing there, looking down at the two boys confused. Tendo and Ushijima’s eyes widened at the sight of you, but it was too late, the rock was already tobe flying towards you. “Tendo-san? Ushi-” before you finish your sentence, you finally notice the rock launching in your direction, thanking your quick reflexes, you dodge it just barely. You turn and watch in slow-mo as the rock hits your closet door, leaving a deep dent and a scratch.
Stunned, you stare at the dent before walking over to pick the rock up, and heading back towards your window. “Really?” You say out loud in a jokingly sarcastic tone, holding the rock up for the two boys to see, while trying your best not to laugh at the series of events before you. You know this situation oh too well, especially from a certain scene after binge watching rom-coms with your cousin Semi the other week.
The two men just stare at you, with nothing to say, before Tendo lets out a burst of laughter. You gave in as well and began laughing with him. Ushijima lets out a low laugh.
“Stay there!” You yell down, before closing your window and making your way downstairs to meet the boys.
“Anyways, I got to go! Tell me her impressions later~” Tendo gives Ushijima a pat on the back before sprinting away from this whole situation.
Ushijima stays there, awaiting your arrival. He turns after hearing heavy pants, seeing you bent forward slightly, facing him with a hand on your knee, and the other still holding onto the rock he had unintentionally launched at you. “Jesus.. Sorry give me a second” Ushijima nods, staring at your figure. Although hair disheveled, out of breath and face as red as a tomato from having to run down a flight of stairs and around the corner to meet him, he still thinks you’re the most beautiful person he has ever laid eyes on. After a few seconds, you prop yourself up, eyes staring into his. Now it was Ushijima’s turn to turn bright red, in fact, realization hit him, it was just the two of you alone, behind a building, “oh how scandalise Wakatoshi-kun.” he can imagine Tendo saying that to him.
You two just stand there for a second, staring into each other’s eyes before you began. “I think you dropped this.” You tell him with a slight giggle. Ushijima lets out a small laugh with you, as he grabs the rock in your palm, your hands brushing against each other, making the stoic man turn redder. “Thank you.” he says softly. “Next time, just come to me, this is a little too cliche for the big old Ushijima Wakatoshi, no?” Crossing your arms, you gave him another smile. GOD was he captivated. If he didn’t have any restrain, he would have leaned down and kissed you then and there. His grasp on the rock tightens slightly, thoughts running before a small peck is felt onto his cheek. He snaps out of his imagination before noticing how close your face was to his. “But that was still, a very cute and very dangerous attempt.” You chuckle once again before stepping back.
“See you tomorrow in class Ushijima-san” You wink before turning back to your dorm.
Ushijima stands there bewildered. A hand going to the cheek you have left an imprint of your lips on. He has his best friend Tendo to thank later. If these silly cliches will lead to your sweet smile and a peck on the cheek, he can’t wait to continue the sweet gestures your future relationship has yet to come.

Bokuto Koutaro
My sweet sweet baby boy
He does NOT know his own strength
He uses a big rock too
You hear a panicked “AKAAAASHI!!!”
Apparently Akaashi tried to stop him after Bo told him of his scheme, but failed to, so instead of letting him go alone, he went w him to make sure Bokuto wouldn’t get himself into TOO much trouble. U kno supervisor n shit
“Akaashi!!!” Bokuto greets his underclassman, sliding into the seat beside him as the quiet man takes out his lunch, slowly unwrapping it. “Good afternoon Bokuto-san.”
“Akaashi! You know y/n right?! And you know how long I’ve liked them, and wanted to confess my feelings right?” Bokuto asks excitedly. “How can I forget, they’re in my class, in fact-” Akaashi leans a bit to the left, pointing his thumb backwards to his shoulder, showing you perched on your desk with your headphones in, eyes closed as you had just taken a savory bite from the meal you had prepared for yourself at home before class. Bokuto short circuits before he lets out a cry of despair, his head falling to the desk, before picking himself back up and shoving his face close to Akaashi’s. “Why didn’t you tell me!! Did you think they heard what I said? Akaashi I can’t believe you! You should warn me about this!!” He whispers before moving his eyes back to you, watching you serenely chew the food in your mouth, everything you do leaves him absolutely speechless, oh god how he wished he was the food in your mouth.
Before Akaashi could reply to ask his friend to move farther away, your eyes open and immediately dart towards the unfamiliar classmate in your classroom.
“Bo!” You immediately stand up, grabbing your lunch before making your way to sit behind him and Akaashi. “Try this! I made it this morning, it’s still fresh, say AH~” You hold your chopsticks towards his face, waiting for him to take a bite. It’s like the embarrassment and worry of you hearing him liking you left his head, he smiles at you before taking a bite of what is on the chopstick. He begins chewing, tasting the savory flavor of your dish, wishing he could wake up everyday to your cooking. “Y/n this is delicious!!!” He replies ecstatically. You giggle in response, using the chopsticks in your hand to pick off the rice stuck to his bottom lip, before dropping it back into your lunchbox, Bokuto unintentionally lets out a  “NO!” as he lightly grabs your wrist, placing the chopstick back into his mouth to catch the rice. “Don’t waste it, it’s so good!” He pouts and you try to hold yourself from laughing at how adorable he is. “Bokuto-san, it was just a grain of rice.” “Akaashi! Don’t say that about y/n’s cooking!” He retorts. You let out another chuckle before digging into the bottom compartment of the lunch box, to grab another pair of chopsticks. “Let’s share yeah?” At this point, Bokuto remembers why he fell for you all over again.
“I have to use the restroom before lunch ends! Akaashi watch my stuff?” You ask the quiet boy, “Of course” “Thanks!!!” You say before sprinting off. “Bokuto-san” Akaashi attempts to call out to Bokuto, but he’s still in a trance as he watched your figure disappear out of the classroom and into the hallway. “Bokuto-san” Bokuto whips his head towards his friend smiling brightly. “Did you want to tell me something earlier about y/n?” He asks him. “YES! I have figured out the perfect plan to confess to them!” Akaashi sits, his face contorts into curiosity, listening to what his friend has in mind.
“Bokuto-san”
“And I’m thinking, I’d wait outside her window and-”
“Bokuto-san”
“I have this rock in my hand right?! I’ll figure the right time to throw and-”
“BOKUTO-SAN”
“AKAAAAASHI!! What is it? Did you get lost in my amazing plan?”
“Bokuto-san, this doesn’t..” He pauses for a second, trying to find a way to slowly put down his friend’s idea, after hearing how excited he sounds for it too. “I don’t think- why don’t you just tell them? Write them a letter... Or buy a bouquet of flowers or chocolate, something that isn’t.. Illegal..” He whispers the last word, it trails his mouth.
“Akaashi you don’t understand! Y/n’s different! They deserve a unique confession! They don’t deserve a regular and common confession, they deserve something grand! Something like my idea!” Bokuto replies happily.
Akaashi lets out a sigh. ‘Well at least I tried…
Wrong.’
And this is where Akaashi found himself on a Friday night, standing beside Bokuto in front of your residence. He had thought, if he couldn’t stop his best friend, why not at least supervise him, at least he could try to physically stop him if things get out of hand, right?
Wrong.
“Oi” Akaashi hears a familiar voice and turns his head towards the direction. ‘Konoha-san?!” Akaashi’s thoughts were interrupted by Bokuto greeting his other friend. “Konoha! You’re just in time, come on let’s go!” Bokuto lets himself past your gate. “What-” “Bokuto told me about his plan, I had to see it.” Konoha lets out a smirk before pushing Akaashi past the gates with him.
The three make their way to the side of the house, finding the window to your room before stopping. Konoha tries to suppress his laughter, and Akaashi stands there bewildered. ‘Holy shit Bokuto-san’s actually going to do it.’ He freaks out internally.
Bokuto dips his head to the floor, picking up the biggest rock he could find before turning to face his two friends. “Now, this is true romance!” He says excitedly, switching the rock to his dominant hand, and getting ready to launch, the veins in his arm protruding.
Konoha is trying, AND I MEAN TRYING, his best to not laugh too soon, a hand over his mouth and the other hand on Akaashi’s shoulder to ground himself. Akaashi’s brain realizes the situation, the veins popping from Bokuto’s arm, his beefy muscles flexing, his strength- and before he could- “Bokuto-san wait!”
SHATTER
Akaashi stands there in shock as Konoha falls to the ground in complete laughter. Bokuto stops functioning as he begins to slowly turn his head towards his two friends. “AKAASHI!!!” He screams in horror, Akaashi’s internal thoughts begin to spiral, thinking of what to do, and the laughter of Konoha’s is NOT helping.
You on the other hand, were located in the kitchen, when you heard the sound of glass breaking. You run outside in your pajamas, cooking apron and bunny slippers, and your trusty spatula still in hand as your weapon. Turning the corner of your house, you see them. Facing the three boys. “Akaashi? Bo? Konoha?” You ask in confusion. Akaashi’s brain is losing it, Konoha is laughing his ass off, and Bokuto stands there looking at you like a deer in headlights before jumping into you with his arms out. “Y/n!!! I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to break your window! I just wanted to tell you how much I love you with a grand confession but-” You wrap your arms around Bokuto returning the embrace, before your gaze turns to the two boys, then to the broken glass surrounding their feet, and finally looking up to your bedroom window, as you finally process Bokuto’s confession. “WHAT?!”

Miya Atsumu
This motherfker, “would do it on purpose but accidently”.
“Hey samu look how hard i can throw this rock”
He throws it and cracks ur window
He would RUN away, he be like “SHIT SHIT SHIT”
You bet Suna’s in the background recording all of this.
Gin’s the getaway driver bc he's prob the most responsible one of the four second years, or at least most likely to get their driver’s license first ykwim
“GO GO GO GO”
The Inarizaki volleyball club room is filled with chattering, the volleyball fanatics converse with each other. It seems a bit off today, a little too calm… before Osamu walks in irritated. The boys chattering dies down as they turn to the wing spiker, all is well until- “OI ‘SAMU!” There it is. The blonde strolls in after his younger twin. “OI!” “holy shit ‘tsumu shut the fuck up or so god help me im about to make myself an only child” “RUDE!” As always, the Miya twins make a grand entrance, every single day, right before practice. Before Atsumu could scream another word, he catches the gaze of Kita, the stares of daggers stopping him in place, reminding him where he is. Atsumu gulps and begins to get undressed.
The conversations between the boys continue where they were left, before the Miyans arrived. “Hey Gin, congrats on your driver’s license!” Akagi praises Ginjima before jumping to ruffle his hair. “Oh? Nice.” Suna congratulates. Aran comes around and wraps his arm loosely around Ginjima’s shoulder “This calls for a celebration, what do you say captain?” He turns to look at Kita, waiting for his response. “I suppose why not. Let’s get to practice.” He replies, being the first to head out.
Cut to the chase, the boys make their ways home to prepare for the “fun” evening that’s about to come. Ginjiima stops by each of his teammates' houses, picking them up, as saving the Miyas for last. “Oh my god” Osamu lets out frustration as he watches Ginjima pull up, Atsumu is STILL getting dressed. “5-more minutes my ass” He mutters before going out and making his way to his friends’ car. Osamu short circuits, counting the seats in the car. “Gin- what kind of car is this?” “This baby right here?” He steps out of the car and slaps the top roof. “It’s my parents’ old 2002 toyota alphard.” He says proudly. “There’s so many seats holy fuck.” He says before heading in, making his way past Aran and Kita, sitting between Omimi and Suna all the way back.
“Where’s piss hair?” Suna asks Osamu, buckling his seatbelt in. Ginjima made his way back inside as well. “Idk idc, hit it Ginjima.” The team lowkey lets out an internal sigh of relief. Ginjima starts the car and begins backing up before Atsumu comes running out in Osamu’s jacket. “WAITTTT” “NO GINJIMA GO!” Aran, Suna and Osamu yell. Ginjima not having the heart to leave his homie behind, stops the car. An audible grunt comes out of the boys. “Y’all be bullying me everyday :,( “ “Awh don’t say that, Omimi doesn’t” Omimi sitting there thinking. ‘No no I do, in my mind.’
“Whatever, let’s go!” Atsumu short circuits noticing the seats in the car as he opens the door. “Where.. Where am I gonna sit?” Ginjima turns around counting the seats, realizing he’s missing one more for the blonde. “Oh shit! I forgot to install the 8th seat, there's supposed to be one going in between Aran and Kita-san.” Atsumu blinks. “Well guess that means you can’t go.” Osamu bluntly lets out. “WHAAAAT” “Go on the roof.” Suna suggests. “NO NO DO NOT GO ON THE ROOF.” “WAIT I WANT THE ROOF!” “That’s a hazard and illegal” Ginjima, Akagi and Kita let out at the same time. “Why not just sit on the floor.” Omimi says. “It’s just going to be on the way there anyways.” “That’s a good point” Aran compliments. “That is also illegal.” “Shin just this once! Come on get in I’m getting hungry!” Akagi claps his hands and faces forward. Atsumu climbs in, and as he sits down he looks up behind him. Osamu sent a glare down towards his brother. “W-what?” “That’s MY jacket, isn’t it?” “NO IT’S NOT!” The poor blond is kicked forward by his brother. This is gonna be a long ride.
Wait. “Uh Gin.” “Yeah?” “Where are we going?” Gin pauses. “Where do you guys wanna go?” “Oh my god we really didn’t plan this through.” “MCDONALDS!!” “Oh! Good thinking Akagi-san.” “There’s a special with pokemon cards right?” “Ah, my younger brother loves collecting pokemon cards, I’ll be sure to get one for him.” Aran and Kita converse. “Turn and make a left on Kinugakecho Suma-Ward.” The team turns their heads to Suna. He then pans his phone to them, showing the address to the nearest McDonalds on google maps.
“8 happy meal boxes please.” Kita-san asks the cashier, he pays before seating with the others.
“Oh my god I’m so hungry.” Suna lays his head on the table “I’m so excited!!” Akagi jumps in his seat, “Thank you Kita-san” Ginjima thanks his captain. “You really didn’t have to pay for all of it, you should have at least split with me, it was my suggestion to go out and celebrate.” Aran signs laying his chin under his fist. “It’s no worries, it’s nice to treat my teammates out once in a while, even if I don’t condone this unhealthy diet. Just this once is okay.” Kita smiles and Omimi nods.
The food comes in and the 8 boys dig into their little happy meal boxes, in the style of pikachu. “Holy fuck these are so cute.” Suna be admiring the yellow box.“ ‘SAMU THAT WAS MY SWEET&SOUR SAUCE” “GROSS DON’T TALK WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL!” Osamu shoves Atsumu’s cheeseburger back in his mouth. Kita clears his throat and the twins silence. “We are in public please for once be decent.” Aran scolds.
After the meal, the boys sit in their booth content. “Omg guys, pokemon card unboxing haul lets go.” Akagi pulls out the little enveloped deck containing the cards, the other boys, besides Kita, follow. “You guys go ahead, I’m saving mine for my brother.” “Shinsuke” Omimi hands Kita the envelope. “He can have mines too.” Aran hands him over as well. “Yeah, I wouldn’t know what to do with it either, I’m sure your lil bro would love it.” Kita gives his two other seniors a sweet smile and thanks them. The five other boys begin to unwrap, and reveal each other the pokemon cards they got. “Yo can I have your Snorlax.” Suna leans into Osamu. “I’ll trade it for my packet of ketchup.”
The boys head out, Ginjima dropping Omimi, Akagi, Aran and Kita off in that order. Atsumu lets out a whine before the three boys that are left face him. “I don’t want this night to end yet.” The three turn to look at each other before turning back to look at their setter. “Well what else do you wanna do?” “Can we just sit and vibe together, we bros anyways.” Ginjima blinks before asking Suna if he would like to do as said plan. “I mean sure, Suna?” “I don’t mind as long as it’s chill with you.” “Osamu?” “ ‘S your car. Plus whatever this idiot does, most of the time there’s not much of a say in my case” He replies. Ginjima pulls into an empty parking lot of a park. Suna has control of the aux, playing chill music.
The moment feels really nice, just four high school bros, the homies, chilling and vibing at an empty parking lot, listening to Suna’s playlist, a bit past 9pm. These are one of the memories you will find to cherish after graduating high school.
Kodak Black’s “Heart & Mind” starts playing.
The four begin to sing to the song, yeah this is going to be one of those high school memories.
The three boys go quiet, letting Atsumu scream Plies’ chorus. Osamu whistles; “SHEEESH” Suna lets out a laugh. “He’s really feeling it” Ginjima joins in. Before the three begin to sing Kodak Black’s lines again. By the end of the song the boys fall into a pit of laughter.
--start of the actual atsumu x y/n part ToT i’m so sorry--
“Hey I wanted to tell you guys earlier, I think I’m ready to confess to y/n.” The setter admits, laying into the seat with a small smile. “They’re going to say no.” “‘SAMU!” “I’m kidding.” “Wow, never thought you’d have the balls.” Suna laughs with Osamu. “Did the song do this or?” Ginjima asks. “Quit ya teasin and hear me out! >:(“ Atsumu crosses his arms and pouts. “Okay okay sorry, but no seriously takes some guts. Have you thought of when you were going to confess to ‘em?” Osamu reassures his brother and asks.  Atsumu pauses and puts his finger under his chin in a thinking pose, before a light bulb clicks. “How about right now?!” He says excitedly. “Right now?” Suna does a lil double take. “Atsumu it’s-” Ginjima looks at the clock in his car. “9:37 right now. 9:37 PM. PM!” “They could be asleep.” Suna butts in. “No-no listen, LISTEN GUYS!” Atsumu quiets his friends down before explaining to them the whole cliche scenes in those American rom-com movies. “That sounds so fucking stupid. I’m in.”
And this is how the four boys end up, in front of your house. “This feels so creepy and illegal.” Osamu shivers, feeling a bit cold by the night weather. “I’m pretty sure this is illegal, throwing rocks at someone's window I mean.” Ginjima furrows his eyebrows. “Tsumu you sure about this.” “It nerf or nothing!” “I think you mean it’s now or never.” “Same thing!” He argues with his brother. Suna has his phone out, ready to record whatever the outcome of this stupid and last minute plan is. The four make their way past your yard, trying to find your light colored curtains, indicating it is in fact your room. “I’m surprised you know where their room is.” “Yet he doesn’t know the quadratic formula.” “ ‘samu!” He hisses before bending over to pick up a rock. “Hey ‘Samu, look how hard I can throw this rock.” This level of confidence did NOT sound good. Atsumu begins to count down before the three freeze up, Ginjima and Osamu letting the reality of the situation sink it. “Wait Atsumu-” “DUMBASS WAIT” Suna standing there unbothered, getting everything on camera before.
SHATTER
The four boys stand in shock, even Suna taken back by the loud sound of glass breaking. He pans the camera to Atsumu before panning up to the window of your room. The lights turn on and you make your way to the window, at first startled but now pissed being woken up, but also now absolutely confused and horrified by the broken glass that fell from your window to the ground below. “SHIT SHIT SHIT” Atsumu begins to book it, grabbing Ginjima and Osamu’s wrists, Suna following, phone still in hand recording. As you see four silhouettes begin to run in the dead of the night, you see a familiar piss shade of yellow and a maroon jacket as they run. The four jump into the car before Ginjima begins to start the engine. Before they drive off, Atsumu takes out the McDonald’s receipt, writing a quick apology and his number before taking out his wallet and throwing whatever cash he had, running back to your doorstep and placing it under your welcome mat. “GO GO GO GO.” He yells as he jumps into the car, the four speeding away.
By the time you reach your front door in attempt to catch the perpetrators, you notice the wrapped up receipt under your welcome mat, pulling it out and unfolding it, revealing a couple 1 dollar bills and a single 5. Confused you read the note, the hand writing almost ineligible.
“Y/N IM SO SORRY IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, WELL PURPOSELY PLANNED BUT STILL AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE CALL ME SO WE CAN TALK THIS OUT I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU-” The rest of his writing ineligible. You look at the phone number he left and his signed signature, with a heart beside it.
“What the fuck.”
Tumblr media
Bonus:
Atsumu again bc he’s- I have no words for him (I love him so much but like its a diff kinda love ifkyky)
But imagine y/n having a brother and atsumu going to the wrong window
And busting a rock thru y/n-brother’s window
And the four just hear “WHAT THE FUCK” in a deep male voice that’s not urs, and the lights turn on and atsumu’s like-
He can feel the soul leaving his body
Bc that dumbass not only broke a window it wasnt even ur window
He dragged Gin out of the car and hit that pedal so hard leaving everyone but himself there on your lawn.
“Are you sure this is where their room is?” Ginjima asks worried. “This seems very very VERY dangerous and illegal.” “GIN! You’re startind to sound like Kita-san, relaaaax I know what I’m doin!” “Doesn’t sound like it” “‘SAMU!!” The twins bicker.
“Actually, I’m heading back to my car this is making me a bit queasy.” The sand-brown haired boy said before turning back to his car. “Up to ya, be our getaway driver yeah?” Atsumu gives a thumbs up before the Ginjima nods and separates from the three, leaving them on their own.
By the time they make their way to what Atsumu thought was your room. He’s already bending over picking up the biggest rock he sees“ ‘Samu, look how hard I can throw this rock!”
“Tsumu don’t-” It was too late. The blonde sends the rock flying to the window. Just as the rock makes contact, the glass shatters and Atsumu is left there in shock, Osamu and Suna as well.
A scream of “WHAT THE FUCK” in the deepest voice is heard emitting from the now open window. Now that can’t be y/n.
The lights turn on and before the two knew it, Atsumu was already booking it back to the car. Suna recording the speed Atsumu was at.
“Hey Atsumu, done already? Wheres-” The door to the driver's seat opens. Ginjima confused, he yelps when Atsumu grabs him and drags him out of the car, getting in and shutting the door before he starts up the engine. “W-WHAT?!” Ginjima stands confused before turning around to see Osamu and Suna run towards him. “GET BACK HERE.” The sound of your brother’s voice rings out and that was Atsumu’s queue to skrrrrt away. Leaving his three friends on your lawn. “TSUMU!” Good luck Gin, Suna and Osamu to deal with your now raging brother.

elephant in the room
Tumblr media
request; none! this idea popped into my head n i thought it was funny. also, this takes place during episode 4 ღ
summary; sexual tension between you and our resident ‘innocent boy’. but daisuke’s there too.
word count; 2611™
warnings; suggestive themes (no nsfw!), daisuke bby cuts his finger while cutting potatoes, maybe haru not being as innocent as we deem him to be ☛☚
prequel
Tumblr media
DAISUKE’S PHONE RINGS as he walks along the roads on the private property he owned, eyebrows knitting and lips pursing as he looked at the contact calling him, answering nonetheless. “what?”
“you got some time right now?” haru asks.
wasn’t it his day off?
“yeah.” he leans forward in anticipation. “hurry up and get to the point.”
“sorry, to do this while you’re off duty, but could you help me with something? well, it’s not like absolutely need your help, but...” haru rambles.
“i don’t mind coming over, however...” daisuke looks at the road ahead of him, knowing the journey was long. “why didn’t you ask (L/N)-san? she lives much closer than i do, and-” a small, repetitive beep continued for a few seconds, cutting him off.
haru had hung up.
Tumblr media
DAISUKE HAD SPOTTED haru on the bench, beginning to fall asleep. “hey. what do you need?”
“hey. sorry about this.” he jolts awake.
“hurry up and get to the point.” he replies, arrogant. “is something wrong with that child?”
the kid runs towards them, pointing towards daisuke. “is this the man?”
“yeah.” haru confirms with a nod.
“mister! please, can you find shiro for me?” he begs.
“what’s going on?” he turns to haru.
“shiro has gone missing!’ the boy exclaims.
“well, basically, a puppy named shiro has gone missing.” haru explains. “can you use your AI butler to find him?”
that was how daisuke got roped into this mess, following a wild goose chase in the shape of a white dog, without HEUSC.
he fools the kid into running off to find his dog, the smug smile playing on his face disappearing as haru drags him after the kid.
they meet an old woman on her yard, finding out that the dog the boy thought was shiro, was actually a cat.
they leave the yard defeated, taking tsuyoshi (the boy) to the police station to find out where he lived, and take him home.
Tumblr media
THE DETECTIVE DUO were in the grocery store, daisuke pushing the cart as haru gathered the ingredients they needed for dinner. daisuke dangerously eyes the natto haru placed in the shopping cart, not wanting it near him at any cost.
you, on the other hand, completely oblivious to them, were happily shopping among the tiny store. you placed all your items in your basket, unknowingly standing behind them in line.
you had to admit, the crisp-ironed white dress shirt and dark, navy blue vest looked completely familiar. “kambe-san?”
“(L/N)-san,” he turns around casually, revealing haru behind him.
“what are you doing here?” your voice quiets down a little, shocked at the sight of the man behind him as you addressed daisuke.
“shopping. i wish you a pleasant experience while shopping in this... grocery store.” his nose crinkles while he tries to remember the name of the building he was in.
“yeah, you too...” your voice wavers, and you want nothing more but to return to your timid ways.
“you should have dinner with us. it would be nice to partake in an activity together outside of the office. this is what you would call a hangout, am i correct?”
“yeah.” you giggle at his formality and absence of knowledge for casual words, not yet noticing haru’s strong stare towards you.
Tumblr media
“WHEN I SAID ‘yeah’, i was agreeing to your question about hangouts.” you jog on the side walk, trying to keep up with the tall men in front of you (though you would soon find out that daisuke was a lot closer to your height than you’d originally thought).
“i apologize, would you like to go home?” he asks as formally as he does bluntly.
“she’s already here, so she might as well eat with us, right?” haru says, and it’s the first sentence he’s spoken that was addressed to you.
his voice is so much softer, so much higher compared to the octaves it dropped to last time-
you squeeze your eyes shut, taking a deep breath and opening them as you try your hardest to focus on whatever the pavement was made out of and nothing but.
he was thanking whatever higher power above him that he was walking in front, as every single on of the features on his face was a telltale sign that he was on the verge of breakdown.
daisuke stops in front of the building, admiring it (or so you thought). you stop behind him, as the pathway to the stairwell was blocked, and you were more interested in what he had to say than being in haru’s line of sight.
“what are you doing?” haru turns towards him.
“this is where you live?” he asks.
“got a problem with that?” haru exclaims.
“no.” daisuke blinks, before the three of you set foot inside haru’s humble abode.
“it’s a bit cluttered, but don’t worry about it.” he motions.
“so you really do live here?” daisuke asks again, and you think about getting involved before haru kicks him out and it becomes just the two of you.
“stop pestering!” he becomes agitated, but leads you both to the kitchen. “i have to cook some rice first... alright, can you chop up the carrots and potatoes over there?”
haru hands his fellow detective a potato, as daisuke stares at it intently. you decide to intervene, feeling bad that you’d ended up in his house without him being able to make a decision. “i’ll help!”
haru nods, taking things out of his shopping bag as you focus on his eyes. they had returned to their usual, golden yellow, and his pupils were normal again.
they had darkened to a gorgeous light brown hue a few nights prior, his pupils largely dilating to a radius you’d never seen on eyes before-
you move to one of his drawers, the one he kept knives (and corkscrews, which you’d learned earlier) in to help daisuke with cutting vegetables.
daisuke noticed that you’d known exactly where it was without guidance, but brushed it off and focused on the task at hand.
once you’d found one, you stand next to him and begin to cut potatoes effortlessly, humming a small tune you’d heard somewhere on the bus.
daisuke looks over, trying to copy your actions, failing with difficulty. how did you make it look so easy?
“need help?” you ask with a smile, to which he nods, primarily focusing on the potatoes.
“like this...” you unknowingly stick your tongue out in concentration, sturdying his left hand around the vegetable and guiding his right hand with your own, all while standing beside him.
haru couldn’t keep his eyes off of the both of you, mentally cursing daisuke for using the opportunity to get closer to you. why was he jealous?
“ah!” he yells, being too distracted to notice the hot steam that tickled — and almost burned — his hand.
“are you alright?” you ask, peaking your head through the door.
you’d gotten comfortable with the situation, knowing that you’d be here for a while. might as well suck it up and act like an adult, right?
“yeah...” he breathes, ears twitching at your voice.
it was just as harmonious as it was when he’d heard it then, had you always sounded like an angel? you didn’t even have to speak words, incoherent noises being more than enough proof-
he tries to shake the thoughts out of his head, counting the grains of rice to distract him from being distracted. he was doomed.
you, completely unaware of his thoughts, decided that daisuke had had enough practice cutting and could do it on his own. not even a minute later, he speaks up.
“the first aid box.”
you look up, confused.
“i injured myself. bring me the first aid box.” he repeats.
“huh? like i’d have something like that. just lick it, it’ll heal.” haru shrugs.
you inspect daisuke’s finger, noticing that the cut was larger than an average cut you’d get from cutting vegetables.
you nimbly make your way to the shelf, opening it and reaching for the band-aids. damn it. even on your tippy-toes you weren’t tall enough to reach it.
you feel a presence behind you, one you recognize. you recognize it because it’s the only one capable of making your heart race, the speed of your mind competing against your heart with thoughts-
“(L/N)-san?” daisuke asked, eager for your return as he would not be able to cut the rest of the potato.
“yes?” you squeaked, glad he couldn’t see you trapped in between the sink and haru.
“where are you?” he continues with his question.
“i’m getting band-aids, give me a second.” you manage to speak.
so you knew where the band-aids were, too. he thinks.
at the mention of band-aids, haru gets them from above you and places them in front of you. you let out a small ‘thank you’, and get back to daisuke.
realizing that you had to get back to the kitchen to return them, and you couldn’t bare another awkward interaction, you place them on the table and continue with your work.
Tumblr media
“THIS IS ALL you have?” daisuke asks, stepping out of the shower in haru’s clothes.
you couldn’t help but marvel at his appearance, how does his hair feel like? is it as fluffy as it seems? he looked absolutely adorable.
“you know, you’ve been complaining this whole time.” haru points out, and daisuke crosses his arms on his chest behind him.
you were also glad that daisuke took short showers, as being alone with haru made the elephant in the room grow bigger.
said man put your food on to plates, and the three of you carried your plates to a table, you being on either side of them.
“thank you for the food.” you nod, before beginning to eat.
you had to admit, this was much better than the packet-ramen you had originally planned to eat.
he looked at you while you were distracted, devouring something from hunger as he began to-
-eat his own food, shaking his head again. the three of you had finished your food, and you washed the plates and spoons as a token of gratitude for the meal.
you’d arrived at the table after finishing, only to be greeted by an awkward question from daisuke. “have you been here before?”
“what do you mean?” not quite comprehending it.
“haru’s apartment.” he tilts his head towards you. “have you been here before?”
your eyes widen, a shaking fist making it’s way towards your chest as you blushed red. “wh-why would you say that?”
“you know where everything is. the knives, the ban-aids, the sponge.” he bluntly deducts.
you looked at haru, who gulped and tried to avoid your stare. so this is how the night was going to go down?
“n-no, not at all!” you nervously chuckle. “all houses look the same in this area, so it was easy.”
“do all people put their belongings in the same places too?” daisuke asks. what he meant as a simple question became more evidence against your lie.
“um...” you shy away from the question.
“i got something you might like.” haru says, and like that, the conversation is dodged. for now.
dry-cured ham was thrown into the mix (and spit out by daisuke, to which you tried and failed to stifle a laugh).
haru gets up and goes to the kitchen, throwing in a bunch of ingredients to make something he referred to as a ‘kato family special’.
“a can of tuna, bean sprouts... pour some soy sauce with tons of wasabi in it... and lastly, some bonito flakes.” he explains as he cooks.
he serves it to daisuke, and you watch intently as the millionaire takes a bite. was he going to enjoy food that us commoners eat?
“are you going to have some, (L/N)-san?” he asks.
“ah, no thank you. i’ve had some befo-” you cut yourself off, realizing what you had just said.
“you’ve been here before.” he bluntly shrugs. “why hide it?”
you don’t respond, instead excusing yourself for water (and a change of dreaded atmosphere). after you return, you announce, “i think i should take my leave now... it’s getting late, and if i wait any later, i wont be able to leave.”
“your phone.” daisuke simply points out.
damn it. it had died earlier, and thankfully, you had a charger (so you wouldn’t have to ask haru for one). you’d come here walking, and since it was late, you didn’t want to leave without your phone at least at a decently charged number.
“i guess a few more minutes wouldn’t hurt...” you awkwardly chuckle.
Tumblr media
“INSPECTOR ASANO, YOU are ordered on indefinite leave effective today.” the tv announces, the movie you’d been roped into watching coming close to an end.
haru and daisuke sat behind you, the only difference between you three is that you were the only one sober. you didn’t want another repeat of last time.
haru began rambling about justice, about how some people lived a life with everything given to them. daisuke, on the other hand, was on the verge of falling asleep.
his subconscious self made his way to wherever he ended up, saying that he wanted to sleep. you yourself had gotten up, knowing that you had to get going yourself.
as you were getting up, you felt something tug at your wrist. a drunk haru. “don’t leave. it’s late.”
“well, i kind of have too...” you nervously giggle while rubbing the back of your neck.
“why?”
“well, i can’t sleep here. there’s no where i can sleep.” you shrug; a lie.
“then sleep on the bed.”
“i’m pretty sure daisuke’s sleeping on the couch, and i’d hate to kick you off of your own bed-”
“i’ll sleep on the bed too.”
your face gets red, your arm gets limp in his and your brain can’t comprehend anything. “wh-what?”
“i said i’ll sleep on the bed too, why should it matter.” his words are slowly spoken. “i mean, we’ve done it before, right?”
haru was always bolder when drunk (proven by last time), and it only left you blushing and limp.
“b-but... daisuke’s outside, how-what is-”
he cuts her off, pulling her towards him as she falls forwards. their lips, the only thing on their minds, being a mere inch away, connect themselves as if having minds of their own.
what was meant to be an innocent kiss soon turned into a heated one, and then a make-out session, and then you staying over. you’d dreaded the repeat of last time to happen, but now that it had, you couldn’t be any more grateful.
Tumblr media
extra;
YOU’D WOKEN UP early, lazily putting on whatever you’d discarded the night before. you dashed to the bathroom to at least try and wash up, before daisuke caught you and questioned you again.
you open the door quietly, almost letting out a shout of surprise. in the bathtub, daisuke was sleeping soundly yet in an uncomfortable position. you quickly scramble for your phone, thinking that he couldn’t get any more adorable than he was now.
you snap a quick photo, deciding that it was all the waking up that you needed, and made your way to haru’s room. you woke him up softly, watching as his eyelashes slowly blinked awake.
you give him a quick kiss on the cheek, before he mutters something incomprehensible and goes back to sleep. maybe one day, the elephant in the room would be addressed.

love is in the words unspoken
all these moments are golden,
forever is mine with you
the blossoming of the cherry trees always puts hawks in a strange mood. he thinks they’re romantic, magical - reminds him of a time when he was more naive, more dreamy, didn’t know much about the world. it’s nostalgic, to see the carpet of sakura petals on the streets, reminding him of what is and what could’ve been.
‘hawks!’
it’s ironic that he runs into endeavor’s child just as the flowers begin to fall.
‘hey, it’s todoroki.’ he grins, glancing at the two heroes behind the one already rushing up to him: deku and dynamight. ah yes, the three musketeers, as they call themselves. it’s nice to see the top three teaming up that way. ‘where’s the honorific though, kiddo? i’m still much older than you.’
‘not that much.’ shoto replies, and it feels like a shot to the heart. that’s right... they’re both in their twenties now. ‘and i figured i’d drop the honorifics now that i’m above you on the hero ranking list.’
the tilt of his head would be adorable if he weren’t such an asshole. tokoyami was right when he said that his youngest was different than endeavor - hawks only wished to see such a playful side of him.
‘the disrespect.’ hawks laughs, slapping shoto on the shoulder. he hits harder than what would be necessary, but the boy doesn’t even bat an eye. sturdy. and tall. holy shit, is he taller than hawks now? ‘anyway, i really don’t mind. are you guys patrolling around here?’
‘GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE HALF-AND-HALF, BEFORE I GO THERE AND BEAT IT!’ one youngster yells at them.
‘kacchan, don’t be so rude! he’s talking to hawks-san!’
‘friendly bunch.’ hawks snorts, and shoto just shakes his head with a smile.
‘they’re the best. i’m just trying to catch up.’ he admits, sounding sincere.
‘DON’T IGNORE ME, FUCKFACE!’
‘what are you doing around here anyway?’ shoto asks. ‘isn’t your office in a different city?’
‘yeah, i just came here to stretch my wings, take a walk.’ hawks says, ruffling his feathers a little for emphasis.
‘are you walking on your wings?’
‘n-no...?’
‘then how-’
‘WRAP IT UP NOW!’ at dynamight’s next shout, shoto visibly flinches. he seems more irritated than scared, at least to hawks.
‘i just wanted to thank you for helping my dad all those years ago.’ shoto says then, bowing his head a little. hawks takes it back, he doesn’t have an ounce of disrespect in his body. he’s just a little warped in the social area, and hawks has a fairly good guess where he gets that from. ‘i’ll be going now.’
‘wait, ah- how, how’s the old man?’ hawks tries to aim for anything but desperate. ‘i haven’t heard from him since the retirement.’
shoto looks at him thoughtfully, and those dual-colored eyes make hawks immeasurably nervous. he feels like he’s staring into his soul, opening up the secrets he’s got locked inside.
‘he’s well. i go home on weekends.’ shoto says, pulling up a notebook and a pen. ‘here’s the address. i think he’d appreciate the visit.’
the road to the todoroki estate was the most tiring one hawks had taken in a while. it’s not like it was far from where they met with shoto, but he spent the entire time worrying if he’s dressed well for the occasion, if he should just walk instead of flying to not get gross and sweaty - if endeavor will even let him in, or he’ll just pass by and get told off.
the house is huge, traditional, designed in classic enji taste. hawks could see the roof from a street away, almost walks into a lamppost while staring, his heart picking up the speed both from the scare and the nerves. his feet feel heavier with every step, walking down the street, finally getting to the gate-
and seeing todoroki enji, former number one hero, the feared endeavor sweep the walkway to his door, the scene way too casual to not send an already spring-up hawks into hysterics.
‘what the hell is that?’ hawks spits, laughter erupting from deep in his belly. the look on endeavor’s face just makes him shriek louder, his abs clenching with it. ‘is that- a fucking broom for ants, endeavor, you look so funny-’
‘can’t a man just do his chores in peace?!’ endeavor’s yelling now; sparks fly on his heated skin, and then they burst into flames.
‘now that’s the endeavor-san i know and love.’ he laughs, holding onto his own stomach, wiping his tears. endeavor’s face appears red under all that fire, he walks up to the gate to let him in.
‘what are you doing here, anyway?’ he mumbles, extinguishing himself as hawks walked in. he holds his broom under his armpit rather awkwardly, with the gracelessness of a man not quite used to doing the cleaning. hawks looks at him, observes: the slouch in his shoulders, the specks of grey in his stubble, the blush high on his cheek, the early wrinkles. he smiles to himself, reasons unknown, buried deep in a secluded part of his heart.
‘ran into your kid downtown, he said i should drop by and say hello.’ hawks lifts the nylon bags he’s been carrying, offers a lopsided grin. ‘i brought takeout.’
‘hmpft.’ endeavor is elaborate, as always. a man of few words and plenty actions, something hawks has always admired in him. ‘you can stay. only for the food.’
‘so you’re still very much hopeless in the kitchen, eh?’
‘don’t make me change my mind, brat!’
the house is huge on the inside, at least five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big kitchen and dining room, and one living room all fit into one floor. all of it echoes from their steps, empty and lonely.
‘your boy said that he’s visiting you on weekend.’ hawks pries, shrugging his coat off as he hands over the bag. his fingers brush against endeavor’s fight-hardened, calloused ones and his heart feels like it could jump out of his chest again.
‘whenever he has the time. shoto’s a busy man.’ endeavor nods, his voice dripping with pride. hawks doesn’t need him to say any more to know how fond he is of his son. it makes him smile, actually. ‘why?’
‘and the rest of your family?’ he asks, a little more cautious.
‘i see rei and natsuo on holidays, and fuyumi usually spends her school breaks here.’ enji sets down the bag at the low table, grabs a pair of chopsticks from the dish rack. there are plates piled high there: it seems like he can clean up after himself, but refuses to put things away. hawks figures it’s pretty comfortable, considers that for a second before he realizes how much he can see into endeavor’s private life.
they sit down at the same time, and their eyes meet. ‘i’m not lonely.’ enji immediately turns defensive. there’s probably pity or sadness in hawks’ eyes, he wasn’t paying attention to his expression for a second.
‘i wasn’t suggesting you were.’
‘being alone is something i deserve. so i take my punishment with pride and strength.’ enji squares his shoulder, sitting up impossibly straight at his uncomfortable seat. he takes the boxes out, scatters them across the table for them to reach. no plates, though. ‘itadakimasu.’
they eat mostly in silence, warm, comfortable, and hawks can’t take his eyes off him. endeavor looks so casual, so approachable like this. he looks soft, in the slightly frayed sweatpants, a little weary from use, and the soft cotton shirt hugging his bulging muscles, stretching across his enormous shoulders. his face is a little thin, the wrinkles obvious on its unharmed half. from this close, hawks can see the grey hairs on his temple, too.
‘i’m looking for a place to stay.’ hawks announces once they’re finished eating. the look of surprise and something else - hope? no, it can’t be... - flashing across endeavor’s face startles him, but he’s not about to back down, now. ‘what-... ugh, how much do you think you’d rent out a room for?’
‘what?’ endeavor appears shell-shocked. ‘wh- why?’
‘well, because my apartment building is remodeling, and i’m pretty sick of living in the busier side of the city anyway. figured i’d change it up, move into the suburbs-’
‘that’s not what i’m asking.’ he snaps. ‘why me? don’t you have friends who’d let you stay with them?’
‘not anyone i’d like to move in with.’ hawks shrugs, playing with a few leftover grains of rice. ‘you know, i can cook, and i’m also willing to dry off and put away your damn dishes.’
‘hawks...’
‘c’mon, we can have sleepovers! i can braid your hair and you can braid mine. it will be fun!’
‘i can’t let you do that, hawks.’
‘okay, yes, i admit, your mane’s a little short for a proper french braid, but i can make do-’
‘hawks.’ enji’s voice booms. ‘no.’
‘you’ve known me for almost a decade, old man.’ hawks is talking back, suddenly fired up. ‘why won’t you just let me take care of you?’
‘because i’m a perfectly capable person who doesn’t need anyone to take care of them.’ he huffs, steam seeping from his nose. ‘and because i can’t let you do that to yourself.’
‘what, enji?’ he’s loud. is he shouting? he can’t tell.
‘waste your time on a bitter old man who isn’t worthy of you.’
now they’re pulling up the big guns. hawks deflates, props his head up on his elbows.
‘retired, but still on your self-deprecating bullshit.’ he sighs. ‘will you take it to the grave?’
‘hawks, i’m serious-’
‘and i’ve been serious, too. my entire life, about my feelings for you. you kept shaking me off, saying it wasn’t appropriate for someone your age dating someone so young, saying you were married, but all this time, i kept getting refused because you hate yourself too much to allow yourself to be loved?’
hawks doesn’t know when he stood up, but he’s falling to his knees beside enji now.
‘what kind of an asshole does that...?’ he whispers, staring right into enji’s fearful eyes.
‘an asshole who cares about you.’ enji murmurs, letting hawks hit him in the chest.
‘this isn’t “caring” about someone! this is just lying to yourself and keeping yourself from being happy!’ his fingers tangle in the front of his shirt, pulling him closer.
‘keigo-’ enji hisses, losing his balance and gripping the edge of the table so he doesn’t fall against the other man.
‘tell me no.’ hawks proposes, his free hand coming up to cradle his jaw, so prickly and manly and strong, the shudder that ripples through him from the gentle touch, making him so weak and vulnerable. ‘no more running away, enji, no more games. tell me no right now, and i won’t ever bother you again.’
endeavor furrows his brows, the skin around his scar pulling grotesquely over his face with the struggle. he takes a deep breath, and hawks gets goosebumps as the hot air from the exhale hits his skin.
‘i can’t...’ enji whispers, and hawks can barely hear over the sound of his heart shattering. he starts to let go, but he forgets to breathe and move altogether as enji leans in instead, hand coming up to hold him close by the back of his head. ‘i can’t say no, not anymore...’
the first touch of lips against his have his insides flutter, almost working him into a panicked frenzy. he can only hope that enji can’t feel his heart beating in his throat as he kisses him, deep and desperate and oh so careful. hawks clings into him, lets him chase him for a change, holds on for the ride.
when they separate, hawks feels dizzy, drunk with heat and pleasure. enji looks just about as much present, he seems dumbfounded.
‘well, uh.’ he says, and hawks would kick anyone who says he doesn’t have a way with words.
‘i can come on thursdays and fridays.’ he offers, for now. ‘that way your kids can still have you on weekends.’
‘thanks.’ that’s all endeavor says before he pushes a few stray strands of hair back from hawks’ face, leans in for another kiss.
it’s a date, then.

Ateez: Their GF Has Superpowers
Kim Hongjoong:
Tumblr media
It was after a party that you guys had with the boys that he found out. They were in the process of cleaning up, and all that was left was to take down the balloons, which he was doing. Being bored with nothing to do, you absentmindedly began to play around with a few decorations, making them float around in mid air. It was Wooyoung's piercing scream that had everyone's attention on the floating confetti that currently was making weird shapes.
"I fucking told you that old lady looked like a witch! But you still bought the decorations from her!" Mingi began exclaiming, as he shielded himself behind Yunho's body.
"How was I supposed to know she'd voodoo curse them?!" Hongjoong tried defending himself, but was scared to death as well.
Coming out of your trance, you realized you had to come clean about your telekinetic powers before they developed high blood pressure.
"Guys it's not demons...... it's me." You let out a sigh.
"Babe, now is not the time for jokes! The room has bad vibes and we gotta call an exorcist!" Hongjoong wasted no time and threw you over his shoulder as they all made a break for the door.
You protested, saying you'd prove it by opening the door, which you did, leaving them all stunned and frozen in place. You finally convinced him after moving objects that he asked you to move. Realization hit him that his girlfriend has super powers. He'd be so upset that you never told him.
"And in the 2 years we've been dating, you couldn't mention that fact instead of making me believe that other demons besides San existed?!"
Park Seonghwa:
Tumblr media
You and Seonghwa had a very loving and open relationship, full of trust, neither of you hiding anything from the other..... Well except the fact you have the ability to know what anyone is thinking, even from kilometers away. You could just block it out, but being curious, more often than not, you found yourself wanting to know what your boyfriend was thinking. Even when he was away on tour, you connected your mind to his. Needless to say, sometimes there were some very impure thoughts at times, not that you minded.
It was one night, you two almost nearing your first year anniversary. Seonghwa and you were cuddled up in bed, just looking at each other and placing innocent kisses. But you knew better, you could hear how Seonghwa wanted to go further but obviously wasn't going to, thinking you weren't ready.
"I am ready and I want to." You casually blurted out.
"What?" He simply asked.
"I know you want to go further, and I want to as well." You assured him.
He blushed a little and ruffled your hair. "Wow it's like you can actually read my mind."
Biting down on your lip, you looked back up at him. "I can....."
Of course, he only released a soft chuckle, thinking you were obviously joking, cause no one can read minds. You proved that to be untrue, citing down examples of times you read his thoughts. You even made him think of several things, some deemed impossible to guess, and accurately relayed those thoughts into words. You left him stunned for sure, even flustered by your ability.
"Does that mean you even heard what I was planning to get you as an anniversary gift?" He asked, genuinely worried the surprise was ruined.
You poked his nose, assuring him you won't find out.
Jeong Yunho:
Tumblr media
To say that Yunho loved how small you were compared to him is an understatement. He adored how tiny you were, it made him feel like your knight in shining armor, your personal protector and boosted his confidence in you needing him for stereotypical manly things, such as opening a jar a pickles.
What Yunho didn't know was that even though you seemed tiny and fragile, you possessed super human strength. You rarely showed it off though, preferring to keep a low profile and if it made your boyfriend happy, why spoil it? Unfortunately, your boyfriend likes to be spontaneous, dropping in on you randomly. It was during one of those surprise visits that he witnessed your true potential, in the form of you lifting up your marble dresser with one hand, like it was nothing more than a basketball. He just stood there with his mouth open, silence for what seemed an eternity.
"Well say something!" You finally exclaimed, hating the silence.
"How long have you had that power?" Yunho simply asked.
"Since birth........ are you mad?" You wondered if he'd be upset about finding out this information.
Instead, he just picked you up and spun you around rather happily.
"Are you kidding?! My tiny girlfriend has super strength! Is there anything cooler than that?"
Yes, he was ecstatic about this discovery.
"Do you know what this means?!" He asked you.
"What?"
"You'd beat Jongho in an arm wrestling match! Oh how I'd love to see his shocked face" A mischievous grin spread across his face just picturing the maknae's face.
"The possibilities are endless baby!"
Kang Yeosang:
Tumblr media
You had a super natural ability of healing faster than any human possibly could. If a bullet shot you, you'd feel it as nothing more than a punch and in a couple hours you'd be perfectly fine. Not that the situation ever happened, just an example. And you weren't really the clumsy, accident prone type, so rarely ever needed to make use of your ability.
Which is why you often forgot about it and therefore never told Yeosang about your special gift. But it became known when he was playing around in the company building. While distracted by something, he left his skateboard on top of the stairs, and you happened to be walking over to see him. Holding a bucket of chicken, you didn't see his skateboard and therefore tripped on it, causing you to fall down an entire flight of stairs. Yeosang ran over to you, panic all over his face thinking about all the damage you probably had, he definitely heard bones cracking. But to his surprise, you sat up just fine, only rolled your shoulders back, looking in mint condition.
"You literally just fell down about 20 stairs, how are you not dead?" He questioned you.
You then remembered about your super natural healing and proceeded to explain why you're fine to him. He was silent for a while, but then nodded in understanding.
"Are you sure you're fine? Nothing's broken?" He was still worried about your well being.
"Just my shoulder popped out of place, but I put it back when I rolled them back." You assured him that you were fine and he had nothing to worry about.
You did however scold him for leaving his things scattered randomly. Had it been anyone else, he probably would have been guilty of an accidental murder.
Choi San:
Tumblr media
Growing up, you enjoyed your ability to become invisible, both figuratively and literally. You liked keeping to yourself and didn't mind that no one ever noticed you. However someone did notice you eventually, and his name was Choi San. His eyes were always on you since day one and you were all he could see. It took a while, but he finally won you over and the relationship was going wonderful.
The problem arose when he started becoming more bold, more teasing towards you, that's when you weren't able to keep secret that you could disappear into thin air. Knowing fully well you just finished showering and were probably changing right now, he decided to 'accidentally' walk in on you naked. As soon as he opened the door though, the cheeky grin he had was replaced by utter confusion when you turned invisible before he could even get a good look at you.
"Holy crap! What the-!" He could not process what happened and became even more scared when all he heard was your voice telling him to get out and wait for you in the living room.
After putting on clothes and calming him down, you told him that you had invisibility powers. San was amazed and curious about your strange yet unique ability. He proceeded to ask you many questions, which you happily answered to him.
"Ok but if you turn invisible right now, would I be able to touch you?" He asked, while simultaneously reaching his hand to your face.
Song Mingi:
Tumblr media
You honestly loved your ability to fly. Sometimes if you had a bad day, you'd just go to a secluded area and fly around without a care in the world. It proved to be somewhat therapeutic for you when you were stressed or sad. You hardly needed to make use of it after meeting Mingi, he was such a ray of sunshine and always there for you, that he became what you needed if you were having a tough time. He never knew about that part of your life of course.
Until one day when he was busy with schedule and you felt bored. You found yourself walking to your favorite place and began reminiscing about old times. Soon you were just happily flying around, thinking no one was around to see you enjoy what you had missed for a while. But Mingi saw. After a canceled schedule, he went looking for you, and having mentioned before that this was your go to place, he went looking for you. He did found you, flying around trees and seeing how gravity didn't affect you at all. Once you finally noticed him, you panicked and came straight back to solid ground.
"How, how long have you been watching?" You fidgeted nervously with your fingers.
"A good 5 minutes." He simply replied.
Your heart sank. What if he didn't like you after this? What if he thought you were weird? What if he would never want to see you after this?
He seemed to notice what you were thinking and he was quick to push your worries aside, pulling you into an embrace and kissing the top of your head. That said it all for you. He loved you and this wasn't gonna change anything.
"So.....by any chance, can you hold my hand and take me flying with you?"
Jung Wooyoung:
Tumblr media
You came from a family of shape shifters. Your parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, could all shift into some type of terrifying beast. Wolves, tigers, lions, alligators, bears, you name it. So why the hell were you only able to transform into a weak little kitten? It was embarrassing for you growing up and for that reason you avoided shifting all together, it caused you to have low self esteem.
When Wooyoung came into your life, it was like a breath of fresh air. He made you feel beautiful in every possible way and suddenly you were more confident in yourself. Wooyoung never questioned what made you so insecure, knowing you wouldn't want to talk about it. Eventually he had to find out though, and he did during a family gathering of yours. While he was looking around the pictures, he noticed a lot were of fearsome animals. When he questioned you about it, you took a deep breath, and pointed out that they were your family. He didn't believe you obviously, until he witnessed for himself a few of your relatives morphing into their animal forms. He was genuinely intrigued by this and of course, wanted to dug deeper.
"So what do you turn into?"
You simply turned away, not wanting him to know and refusing every time he asked.
"Why not?!" He screeched.
"Because it's embarrassing!" You hollered.
"Come on! I just saw your grandfather turn into a black bear and scratch his ass on a tree, how embarrassing could it be?"
Sighing softly, you gave up and slowly morphed into the tiniest and cutest ragdoll kitten he had seen. A smile crept up on his face, before bursting into laughter.
"Stop laughing! It's not funny!" Your squeaky kitten voice piped out.
"I'm sorry baby! It's just that it's too adorable!" He was definitely enjoying this.
Choi Jongho:
Tumblr media
Speed was your thing. There was nothing that was faster than you on this earth. And it was somewhat euphoric for you. The adrenaline that rushed through you every time you ran faster than light was indescribable. You often wanted to show off your skills, but avoided it knowing how nosey people could be.
You felt attracted to Jongho because of his strength. You often wondered if maybe he was just like you, but you found out that wasn't the case. He had his limits. But you didn't. Of course, you wanted to tell him, you felt sure he wouldn't judge you or pester you about your speed. But you could never find the right moment. It came spontaneously, like the many things in your life. It was when you were watching him workout. Repairs were being made on the ceiling and that's what caused a small piece of it to fall off, almost landing on Jongho had it not been for you pushing him to the opposite side of the room, you landing on top of him.
He just blinked as he processed what just happened.
"Did you just yeet us into another dimension?" He chuckled.
You blushed and laughed softly before proceeding to tell him everything. He didn't need any more proof than what just happened.
"I always knew you were my special girl." He winked at you.
Gifs not mine. Credit goes to their respective owners.

Hello, thank you for loving the reaction to ex scenario! Since it was our first attempt at scenario, we weren’t sure how well received it would be. But thankfully!! It was very loved. ╥﹏╥ Also, thank you for the request! I hope this would live up to the standard of the previous one. I had a hard time finding inspiration for this… (;´Д`)

Daichi Sawamura:
Hiking up the forested mountain, you made your way to the location for the children’s summer camp that you signed up to volunteer at. Upon arrival, you spotted numerous staff and volunteers scattered around, preparing materials. You approached the person-in-charge to offer your help and was assigned to the game team, where you were met with a familiar face.
“Y/N?”
“Daichi?” You both called out simultaneously.
“You two know each other? Perfect!” Said the person-in-charge, who then instructed, “Then I’ll put you both in charge of free play, okay? Help to brainstorm games that the kids can play during free play. Rest of the team, continue preparations for the treasure hunt.”
With a ‘Roger!’ from the team, the person-in-charge left before the two of you even opened your mouths to protest. Not that either of you would have anyway. You glanced at Daichi and let out an apologetic chuckle, “Let’s do this?” At his smile and nod, the two of you began to discuss and exchange ideas.
When the children arrived in their groups, you and Daichi were conveniently allocated to accompany the same group during their day activities. Paired together for several activities throughout the camp, you and Daichi quickly moved past the awkward stage and started interacting like before – constantly joking around, praising, and teasing one another. With natural chemistry between the two of you, getting along well with the kids earned the both of you a new nickname – ‘Parents Daichi and Y/N’ that promptly became a hot topic among the volunteers and children alike.
Soon, it was time for free play. The volunteers took turns being the tagger for ‘Red Light, Green Light’ and your time came shortly after.
“Green light,” You held on for a while, then concluded rapidly, “red light!” causing some to not be able to pause their actions in time, including Daichi who toppled over when he attempted to slide to a stop. Everyone turned their attention to Daichi and sneered at him for moving so obviously during Red Light, highlighting his movements to you.
Laughing at his misfortune, you gestured for him to come over, “Daichi, you’re caught!” With a small laugh, Daichi surrendered and jogged over. The instant he linked pinkies with you, echoes of bashful giggles and ‘oohs’ followed suit. “Did Daichi-san get caught on purpose to hold hands with Y/N-san?” mocked a cheeky child. Your face reddened while Daichi attempted to justify himself, but the children only continued chaffing him.
The teasing continued into dinner when Daichi gave you some of his potatoes (your favourite food) by habit, and into the next day when he shielded you from the water balloons during the water fight. “Daichi and Y/N are a couple!” soon became an ongoing buzz for the rest of the camp, with everyone pairing you two up repeatedly.
Time flew by quickly and before you realised, it was already the last night of the camp. At the thought of the camp ending, you couldn’t fall asleep. You decided to go for a walk, where you noticed Daichi sitting on the grass by the riverbank. After pondering for a moment, you strolled towards him, “Can I join you?”
Daichi looked up at the sound of your voice. With a soft gaze and warm smile, he set a handkerchief on the grass and motioned for you to sit.
“You know, I didn’t think you’d be here when I applied as a volunteer.” You spoke while settling down.
“Me neither,” Daichi replied and light-heartedly joked, “but I guess fate brought us together, even now.”
Sitting silently, the two of you reflected on your times together during the camp. It was filled with gleeful moments, almost as if time turned back to before your separation. The constant teasing only served to remind you two of those times.
“It’s about to end, huh?” You sighed.
Daichi nodded and asked, as if debriefing, “So, what’s your favourite part of the camp?”
“Probably free play!” You contemplated before answering, “Being in charge of it made me feel more emotionally attached.” then chuckled as you added, “Also, your fall was pretty hilarious.”
Daichi laughed as he recalled his fall. “It seems I fell for you again.” He joked to mask his embarrassment, then fell silent after realising his remark.
Your heart skipped a beat. In case he could hear your beating heart in the awkward silence, you quickly changed the topic, “What about you? What’s your favourite?” A moment of quiet later, Daichi declared, voice deep.
“…I enjoyed every moment with you.”
Surprised, you gaped at his direction. “Y/N,” Daichi voiced with resolve, “I really don’t wish for it to end like this.” He returned your gaze with sincerity.
“Will you give me another chance to be with you again?”

Kuroo Tetsurou:
“Boo!” A voice yelled as a tall figure jumped out abruptly from behind a wall, causing you to jolt in surprise. Rather annoyed and confused by the sudden jump scare, you snapped your head up to spot the face of the culprit. Your irritated expression morphed into one of bewilderment when the face of someone you did not expect came into view, “…Kuroo?”
Pairing a playful smirk with earnest eyes, he teased, “Missed me?” After taking a second to process the situation, you dropped your shoulders in resignation and sighed, “It’s been so long since we last saw each other, and you decide to pop out from nowhere like that?”
He chuckled and apologised, “My bad. I saw you at the mall earlier and wanted to talk to you… but I couldn’t resist the urge for a dramatic introduction.” You shook your head and asked, “So? What did you want to talk about?”
Upon his request to speak somewhere more private, the both of you decided on the benches at the nearby park. Strolling past an advertisement-filled bulletin board, you stopped in your tracks. Back then, the two of you often tried novel activities together, signing up for random classes that you both were new to, from advertisements like those on the bulletin board or online. You scanned the bulletin board, mentally noting the activities the two of you have participated in together before. Kuroo observed your scrutiny and began browsing the bulletin board too.
“Say, we’ve never signed up for couple yoga classes before, did we?” You questioned while peering at the poster. Kuroo followed your gaze to the yoga class poster, “Couple yoga classes?” He contemplated for a while before answering, “Don’t think so.”
As you reminisced the past, a wistful smile formed on your face. “Do you still remember first time we signed up for one of these classes? When we went kayaking?”
“And capsized because you were moving about too much? I don’t think I’ll ever forget that.” He teasingly grinned.
“Hey, it was my first time alright! Sports may not be my thing, but I also recall someone making a crooked vase in pottery class…” It was your turn to tease him. Embarrassed by the recollection of his failed flower vase, Kuroo cleared his throat and defended, “I guess everyone has their strengths and weaknesses…”
At his excuse, you could no longer hold your laughter back at how silly the both of you were being. Following your burst of laugh, Kuroo guffawed as well. Reflecting back on all the activities the two of you did reminded both of you of the times when you two were still together. Nostalgia overcame the two of you and the laughter died down slowly. The fond memories filled both of your minds and now, you both just wished things could go back to how it was before.
Kuroo took another glance at the yoga poster. “Build intimacy and trust while working out with your partner…” He read off the advertisement, “Sound interesting, doesn’t it? Maybe we should try it some time.” He casually suggested, eyes still glued to the poster.
Thinking it was a joke, you laughed and retorted, “Yeah, no. It’s exclusively for couples, see?” You pointed to the subtitles of the poster and continued, “I’m guessing the poses would be too intimate for non-couples. If we go together, they’re going to think we’re dating.”
Kuroo redirected his gaze from the poster to you and positioned himself to lean his back against the board, cocking his head to your direction. “Well, are you dating someone else right now?” He questioned as naturally as he could while attempting to hide the hopes he was holding onto. Averting his gaze, you hesitantly answered, “No… but still–”
“Then why not?”
You blinked before staring blankly at Kuroo, startled by his unexpected reply, “Wha–” But before you could respond, he cut you off again, “Shall we date again?”
You fell silent. Deep inside, you longed for it. You were dying to say ‘yes’ and return to the carefree days when the two of you were together. However, you were unsure if he was joking and did not want to get your hopes high for nothing.
“Stop messing around…” You managed to muster despite your wavering heart. Kuroo pushed himself off the wall and turned your body to face him, prompting you to look at him. “I’m not kidding.” He muttered, eyes softening slightly as he locked gaze with you. With a serious expression, he repeated, “Let’s date again, Y/N. That’s what I wanted to talk about.”

My Favorite Human Ch. 2: I Want YOU in This Custody Fight
Summary: It’s not a date if you argue about the kids in front of the restaurant staff.
Chapters: 1, 2, 3
Chase tried to dress nice when he came to this building. It was one of the fancier restaurants under Dark’s control. He didn’t have a whole lot of nice suits but he did have a white button-up and a black vest. But that was as far as he got.
Dark never seemed to mind either way. After all this was strictly business. They’d talk about the twins, and then Chase would leave. The Entity would offer for Chase to order something from the menu, “on me”, and the marksman would always turn him down, even before he first glanced at the menu.
After he’d seen the menu he was determined to never order anything from this place because it was way too much for anything.
But the view . . . the view was amazing. The restaurant was situated by the river and so at night it looked amazing. Dark was always in a private business room, to make sure their conversations couldn’t be easily overheard by errant patrons.
As Chase walked up, sans superhero outfit or mask because he didn’t want his meetings with Dark getting on the news at all, a waiter led him right to Dark.
When Chase walked in he had his usual crisis, his feet stopping and a weight settling in his heart. Dark had his back to him as he looked out into the city.
Chase got his feet to work and he took his usual seat.
Dark sighed when Chase sat down, “I heard what happened.”
“Mori and Tempus think he’s better now, least he’s not runnin’[1] around naked in the woods anymore,” Chase reported. “I think Mem got most ‘a[2] it out ‘a[2] his system.”
Dark clicked his tongue. “I don’t know what’s gotten into him, at least the others don’t have to be watched so some random hiker wouldn’t get attacked.”
That got a chuckle out of Chase, settling a bit in his chair. “Really? I find that hard ta[3] believe.”
“Arthur was a bit of a handful but at least he could be contained to his books. He didn’t actively seek to become chaos itself.” Dark’s fingers drummed casually on his desk.
“Prolly[4] could have cut him off beforehand if I hadn’t been on patrol this mornin’[5],” Chase’s eyes tracked over as a waiter came in to bring some wine for Dark and a water for Chase, he was braced for a random attack. It was mostly out of habit — because of Clubs — but still trained all the same.
Dark’s aura circled around the rim of his wine glass. “Yes, Illinois commented the same.”
The Entity’s aura hummed as he thought, he twisted the base of glass with two fingers. “I was thinking that perhaps the problem is not that they need constant supervision, it’s merely that they’re bored and they do the first thing that comes to mind.”
“Not sure how I can help with that ta[3] be honest,” Chase admitted.
Dark paused to take an especially long sip of his wine. “It has occurred to me that perhaps if they spend a bit long thinking about the ideas they have that maybe they would make wiser decisions. They are very young spawnlings, and there is a certain impulse that such young demons only have when they have never been threatened and feel safe in a territory.”
“Really?” Chase smiled. “Yeh[6] were impulsive back in the day? Would’a[7] loved ta[3] see that.”
Looking away, Dark took another sip, “No, I made Egoton into what it is today so I would not have to waste my time finding a new territory every couple of decades.”
The smile didn’t fade from Chase’s face quite yet. “So yeh[6] got any plans fer[8] the twins, err, boys.”
At that mistake, the smile did drop and Chase was glaring out the window for a full second or two. “Yeh[6] got any plans fer[8] the boys?”
“A couple,” Dark mercifully ignored the slip up. “My first option was to just stick them with Illinois, he’s more than mentally equipped to corral chaotic spawnlings. But with the wedding coming up, I figured . . .”
Dark trailed off, waving his hand dismissively, “Best not to leave the responsibility with Illinois.”
Chase felt the urge to say something, but he didn’t even know what that something was, so he kept quiet. He preoccupied himself with wiping down the condensate from his glass.
“Tempus is fine on her own, but if I leave her to them, she’d only mildly protest at whatever they do and then record them, and Wil only seems to enable their destructive behavior,” Dark continued.
“Hmph, that’s Bubbles fer[8] yeh[6],” Chase dismissed coldly. “I think he might e’en be givin’ ‘em ideas.”[9]
“Oh, of that I have no doubt,” Dark agreed, “Tempus too, a couple of their more harebrained stunts have actually been her idea, despite Memento’s insistence that he’s the brains of their operation.”
That got a chuckle out of Chase.
“But that still leaves me with a problem, namely that apart from Illinois or myself there seems to be only one other person who can reason with them, or at least enough that they don’t get themselves into legal trouble. Their minor antics are fine, especially if they can confine it to the Manor, but running around the parks or beaches is getting them into trouble, and getting them noticed by demon hunters.”
“Yikes, didn’t know it was that bad yet,” Chase sat up a little straighter.
“It’s nothing that can’t be handled, but I was thinking, and Kay and Illinois posed the idea themselves, that you could help,” Dark proposed, his expression neutral and guarded. “Since you seem to be the only other person they listen to.”
Chase was quiet, the room was so quiet that he could dimly hear chatter from the other room. He wasn’t exactly sure where this conversation was going. “I’m tryin’ ta watch ‘em, but I still got patrols ta keep up with. I’ve got ta deal with random bullshite that the Duke or Anti cause in the city. I’m still part ‘a the Coalition.”[10]
“The heroes have more than enough people to deal with them,” Dark dismissed.
“Dark, I’ll keep doin’ e’erythin’ I can fer the boys, but I’m tryin’ ta stay on good behavior,”[11] Chase reminded him. “It’s bad enough they’re barely lettin’ me see my other kids, I don’t know what they’d do if I wasn’t bein’ a hero. It’s the only thin’ I got goin’ fer me.”[12]
Dark meant to be reassuring, that Chase was a natural parental figure underneath his poor mental health and self-incriminating bad choices. That they’d made a mistake when Chase was denied his children. But such words required a certain amount of emotional vulnerability from Dark, and the Entity could never allow himself to be vulnerable, even when it was desperately needed.
So the words that came out of his mouth were, “I could make sure there were no problems.”
Chase froze, staring at Dark in alarm. Normally his head and heart were at war. Between wanting to treat Dark like a dearly loved friend, and his head who reminded Chase that Dark was a dangerous, demonic mob boss. Someone who destroyed lives that didn’t suit him.
At this moment there was no discourse.
“What does that mean?” Chase’s tone was terse.
“I don’t see why anyone should have a problem with you seeing any of your children, Anti has not used you as a host in months. He has not targeted you in even longer. The correct people merely need . . . convincing.”
“No!” Chase snapped, surging up so he was away from the table. “Don’t! Just stop right there. Yer not gonna threaten or “convince” anyone. Stacy’s fine. She’s doin’ fine with ‘em. If yeh could get yer fookin’ claws outta Paddy that’d be e’en better.”[13]
“Your eldest has his own goals and if he wants to achieve it through my Network, I see no reason to stop him,” Dark dismissed. “He is an expert marksman who’s time and skill were being squandered on running around with other delinquents pretending to be gangsters. Crime and trouble would have found him if I hadn’t swept in and taken him.”
Chase made some ugly snort that carried his disbelief and offense.
“The four of them are already embroiled in the Network, it would certainly make things simpler,” Dark suggested, immediately doubling down on his point.
“Simpler?” Chase scoffed. “Fer who? I’m not gonna fookin’ sit on my arse until they do somethin’, it’s not like I’ve got anythin’ useful fer yer little crime organization.”[14]
Dark gave Chase a look.
Chase just stared at the Entity in alarm, “No.”
“You denying the very nature of your magic and soul doesn’t make it any less true,” Dark commented, metaphorically shoving his foot right into his mouth.
“No,” Chase repeated a little more firmly. “Fook[15] off.”
“The heroes have had a top marksman for years and yet you are sidelined constantly,” Dark commented. “Even if you’re not killing in my Network your skills would be more useful. You don’t even have to be in the room to do the job.”
“So that’s what this is?” Chase spat. “I’m just some asset fer yeh ta buy?”[16]
In the absence of anything that wasn’t an emotionally charged response, Dark fell silent.
Chase threw his hands up, so angry that there was a very furious grin where teeth ground together, “No. We’ll keep the system we got, it’s workin’[17] just fine.”
The marksman was boiling with rage and it didn’t help that Dark wasn’t confirming or denying it.
“Enjoy yer[18] overpriced steak, Dark, I’m goin’[19] home,” Chase decided, alright turning.
Dark stayed quiet, and when Chase looked back at him he let out a groan of annoyance and stormed off and out of the building.
The Entity didn’t stop him, he was too busy tending to his blue soul who was trying to follow Chase but was stopped because Dark was staying in his seat.
“He’s angry,” Damien commented in their shared headspace, his fragmented soul full of nothing but emotion and none of the social cues that kept those emotions from being acted on. “What did I do?”
“He’s a human, it’s all they do,” Dark’s red soul commented dryly. She was already wanting to leave, fretting about the mountain of work they needed to do.
“We can give him things,” Damien suggested hopefully, looking to Dark for approval.
Why? Dark asked. Is he the man we’ve been sleeping with for decades? Because I seem to remember someone a little more pink and mad. Or am I wrong?
Dark’s blue soul curled in on himself and stopped pulling the Entity to follow after Chase. He was more subdued than he’d been in a while.
It let Dark finally leave and head back to the warehouses to get some work done. And if Damien urged Dark to give little macabre trinkets to the triplets, he only hesitated for a little bit.

Post A/N: Man, if Dark and Anti were half as good at communicating as they were at killing people, all their problems would be solved!

sly san who sacrifices (v) || c.s (atz)
Tumblr media
➳ pairing: reader x choi san (ateez)
➳ word count: 3849
➳ genre: badboy au; fluff; angst
➳ synopsis: to the school, he may be a bad boy, the worst of the worst, but to you, he’s choi san, father of three cats, your best friend and ultimately, the boy you’re in love with.
>>>
Phone in hand, you run for the club as fast as you can.
Your feet slap against the wet pavement, little ripples in the puddles of rain left in your wake as you rush towards your destination, eyes glued to the glowing screen of your phone, fixed firmly on that tiny blinking red dot. Your legs are burning from the expected strain of them, but you don’t let up till you’re at the main entrance of the building that San is at.
Neon strobe lights hurt your eyes and you can already hear the raucous timbre of the disco music being blasted inside, the sound reverberating out onto the street outside. You spot the to be party goers mingling behind the red rope, chattering excitedly and dressed to the nines in killer outfits that shine brighter than your future and probably cost more than your college education.
This is definitely not your scene.
Swallowing, you glance down at yourself… you hadn’t really been thinking straight when you’d left the house, you’re dressed in a simple pair of shorts and a tee, nothing too scrappy but definitely not anything suitable for a night out at a club. A groan leaves you and you stare at the daunting sight before you once again, chewing nervously at your bottom lip as you contemplate turning back… and maybe just confronting San another day…
But then you snap back to your senses and give yourself a little slap, because what if this is your last chance? What if after tonight, San tells you he doesn’t want to speak or see you anymore? As unrealistic as it sounds, as irrational as your fears are, if there’s even the slightest chance it could happen, you’re not taking it – Choi San is worth more than your pride.
So you gather your courage, square your shoulders, and march to the main entrance at very front of the line.
Instantly, the mindless chattering all around you falls silent, so silent you could hear a pin drop on the wet asphalt. Panic and just sheer awkwardness crawls over your introverted skin, you weren’t made for places like this! But you force your unease down and meet the bouncer in the eye, he’s a hulking mass of steely muscle with a glint in his eye that almost scares the shit out of you literally (and probably would have if you hadn’t remembered that you had a mission to accomplish here).
He looks you up and down with a dismissive eye, barely needing to incline his head, he’s so tall. Then he leans down the slightest bit to look you directly in the eye with a near frightening stare, muscles in his neck rippling. “The end of the queue is over there, little girl.”
You swallow involuntarily, a bead of sweat running down the back or your neck and sliding down your clothes, the weight of everyone’s gazes on your back is highly uncomfortable but you ignore it in favour of keeping your gaze even and your voice steady. “I’m here to find a friend.”
“I don’t care what your reason is, in case you didn’t hear me the first time, the back of the queue is there.” The bouncer enunciates more slowly for you this time, as if you’re the one who’s drunk. “I can’t let you in unless the queue is gone, kid. There are plenty of people who want to get into this club who’ve been out here waiting since dusk.”
Your fingers twist in the hem of your shirt from nerves as you desperately try to think of a way out, unsure of what else you could do to make the man let you in. Glancing back at the queue, you’re horrified to see that it stretches around three blocks and disappears down a street, further than your eye can see. Waiting isn’t a viable option, but you don’t really have another choice unless it’s…
You force a polite smile on your face to mask the sheer panic you feel and meet the bouncer in the eye; he does not look the least bit amused. “I’m looking for Choi San.” You manage to say without bumbling like a complete fool, but using San’s name does seem to have its intended effect.
The bouncer’s eyes widen imperceptibly in surprise, just enough for you to notice up close. Then his eyebrows pinch together and his mouth pulls downwards in an unamused scowl. “It’s impossible for a person like you to know Choi San. Don’t lie to me, kid.”
You dig the bracelet out of your pocket and shove it in his face, from the way his lips part with a little intake of breath you know he must have seen it before and part of you is… happy... that he recognises it, for some strange reason. “I’m here to return his bracelet to him and then I’ll get out of your hair. Now, are you going to let me in or not?”
You’re not used to being so confident and out there, but there’s a rush of adrenaline flowing through your veins right now from the anticipation. The bouncer’s eyes narrow and for a long moment, you hold his sharp gaze evenly, unwilling to back down till he lets you in.
He backs down first with a sigh, moving towards to the rope that holds the door closed, unhooking it and ushering you inside. Behind you, you can hear angry protests of the people standing in the line, but you ignore them in favour of stepping into the club, eager to get to where San is.
The bouncer grabs your wrist with a warning glare and you whirl around to stare at him in confusion. “If something happens to you in there, missy, it’s not on me. Don’t get into any trouble and get out as fast as you can.”
You grin at him. “Thanks.”
Then you duck inside before he can say anything else.
Immediately, all five of your senses are assaulted by loud noises and bright lights coming from every direction. Bright purple neon juxtaposed against cool black leaves your eyes reeling from the colour contrast, the smell of smoke, sweat and even more alcohol so heavy and thick in the air you can taste it on your tongue. Biting on your lower lip in an attempt to remain calm in the midst of a mass of sweaty, gyrating human bodies, you stand on tip toes and try to search the dark, flickering room for San.
It proves to be a near inhuman feat. Groaning, you pull out your phone and search the map once again, sure enough, your little blue dot has overlapped with San’s red one to form a blinking purple circle, indicating that he is indeed here at this club… but where is he?
“Hey, little missy. This doesn’t look like your scene.” A voice comes from behind you and you jerk in surprise, whirling around to see someone standing there against the wall, exuding such an air of casual confidence that you can’t help but be blown away by it. His hair is blond and tousled into waves, held away from his forehead by a black bandanna to show off beautiful, dark eyes that remind you of sweet, sweet danger. Every instinct goes on high alert instantly and you actually find yourself taking a step back to take him in, he’s dressed in an all black ensemble that’s simple and stylish at the same time.
He meets your eyes with a smirk that you, for some reason, don’t find sleazy and cocks his head to the side playfully, teasingly. “What are you doing here dressed like that, darling?”
You’re on guard around him, tense, and he can see it, he enjoys it. He hasn’t moved an inch but you feel like you’re the one who’s been backed into a corner like a trapped animal, dangerous tension sparking between the two of you as you meet each other’s eyes.
“I’m here for a friend.” You spit out, suddenly desperate to get away from this man that practically oozes danger and appeal all at once. There’s a look in his eye that makes unease bubble in the pit of your stomach and when he takes a step forward, you actually flinch, every muscle in your body getting ready to run.
“Oh? Where is he then?” The man continues stepping closer and closer, and you practically freeze on the spot when he comes within an arm’s length of you. You can feel his hot breath against your cheeks, smell the slight scent of cologne and smoke clinging to his warm skin, feel the heat radiating off him. You don’t even realise you’re moving backwards till you’re backed into the wall, so completely taken by the sheer intensity of his gaze.
He leans in close but never quite touches you, only letting his words brush your bare skin as one hand comes up beside your head, he’s too close for your liking, too seductive than what you can deal with. “Why don’t we leave this place, darling, just you and me– ”
You’re about to cut him off mid-sentence politely, saying that you really need to look for your friend, but he never gets a chance to finish his sentence.
“Get the hell away from her, Wooyoung!”
Your eyes fly open in surprise at the sound of that voice and in the next second, the man is ripped away from you violently and thrown against the wall to your side. Your hands fly over your mouth to prevent the shout of horror from escaping you, but the blond doesn’t seem the least bit fazed at the sight of your best friend pinning him to the wall by the neck.
“What the hell were you doing to her?” San snarls venomously, digging his forearm into the blond’s throat. The blond simply looks down at him with a cocky grin, completely unrepentant as he shrugs. “What does it matter to you?”
San’s face twists in fury at those words frighteningly quick, you feel every drop of blood drain from your face when he raises a fist–
“San!” You cry out, running to his side and yanking on his arm as hard as you can. You’ve never seen San like this, so dark and filled with rage that it almost scares you. “He wasn’t doing anything to me! Stop it!”
San hesitates, fingers clenching and unclenching as he considers your words, the impulsive white hot rage burning behind his eyes simmering ever so slightly. Then he rips his hand from the blond and storms out of the club, leaving the blond rubbing the bruises on his throat with an exaggerated sigh.
“I’m sorry!” You bow once quickly and turn around to chase after San before he can disappear before your eyes again.
The blond sighs at the mess around him and gestures for all the onlookers to get back to their business, making his way over to the bar counter and seating himself on one of the seats there. “Some ice please, Mr Bartender.” He fingers the bruise at his adam’s apple with curiosity, an amused smile tugging on his lips. “I haven’t seen San-ie this worked up since we got expelled from our old school. It’s rather fun to watch him, isn’t he?”
“You shouldn’t have provoked him like that, Wooyoung-ah.” A smooth baritone tells him dryly as he slides a mojito over to him with a disapproving frown. Wooyoung merely grins as he scoops out two ice cubes and holds them to his throat, feeling the cold numbing the ache there, but the adrenaline he feels rushing through his body right now makes it so worth it. “You knew who she was to San, don’t lie to me. It’s like you’re trying to get yourself killed.”
“If I hadn’t done that, that coward would have tried to escape the club. I saw him moving towards the back doors when she came, so I just put on a little show for him to watch. It worked.” Wooyoung shrugs, raising the glass to his lips and taking a mouthful of his drink. Then he yelps and spits it into the potted plant next to him as fast as he can, mouth puckering uncontrollably. “That was the sourest thing I’ve tasted my entire life! What the hell, Yeosang? We’ve been friends for four years and this is how you treat me?”
Yeosang snorts as he wipes his glasses down with a clean cloth, shaking his head. “It’s precisely because we’ve been friends for four years that I’m doing this. You need to stop living so on the edge, it’s going to get you dead in a ditch one day.”
Wooyoung simply shrugs. “I’ll be fine.” Then he winces and presses the ice cubes a little more firmly against his skin, muttering under his breath. “If that little shit doesn’t get back together with her by tomorrow morning, I’m going to wring his neck for him, the fool.”
Yeosang looks over at his friend from behind the counter and rolls his eyes, but there’s a good-natured smile on his lips.
“San!”
Outside, you chase after San into a dark alleyway behind the club, before he can take another step you grab his wrist firmly with both hands and yank him backwards. He nearly stumbles at the force of your insistence, unbalanced from drink and alcohol, but finally turns around to face you, head hanged and not quite meeting your eye, clearly uncomfortable.
“What were you doing here?” San mumbles, words slightly slurred and barely loud enough for you to hear. “Weren’t you supposed to be studying at home with…” He falters for a moment and you frown in confusion, how has he forgotten the name of his own friend?
“Seonghwa and I were studying, but you were acting weird this morning so I went over to your house to ask you what was going on! Claude told me you weren’t at home so I came over to find you myself, only for you to almost get into a fight with someone else–”
San snorts, slumping against the wall with his eyes closed as he rubs his temples. “Wooyoung will be fine. That little bastard knew what he was doing the whole time, edging me on… it was a smart move, I’ll concede…”
You pause for a second. Wooyoung, Wooyoung, Wooyoung… the name sounds familiar… then it hits you. Your eyes widen and you stare at San in shock. “Isn’t Wooyoung that best friend of yours? Are you drunk? You nearly killed him! He didn’t even do anything to me!”
San’s face darken at your words, rising to his feet and lurching forward to stand dangerously close to you. But unlike with Wooyoung, you don’t feel the least bit of fear – San would never allow himself to hurt you, drunk or otherwise. “What the hell were you doing in a place like this, you idiot? What would you have done if Wooyoung wasn’t just playing around and if I weren’t there? Don’t you know you could get hurt?”
“But you were there.” You fire back, insistent. “That’s why I went there. I want to be where you are, is that so wrong?”
San groans, dragging a hand down his face. “The kind of places I go to are the places you shouldn’t be going to! Stay away from me, alright?”
But you’ve had enough of his nonsense and yank the bracelet from your pocket, shoving it in his face. His own eyes widen at the sight and he tries to snatch it from you, but you jerk it out of his reach and shove it back in your own pocket fiercely. “Is that why you took it off, San? I thought we had a promise! Best friends forever, remember?”
You’re furious, but every trace of anger evaporates in the next second, you’re completely stunned when you see a tear escape San, one at first, than two, then more and more, until San’s head is hung and you can’t see his eyes anymore, tears streaking down his cheeks and dripping to the ground. Horror overtakes you and you step forward, gripping his arm tightly. “San! San, what happened–”
Before you can say anything else, San yanks you into his chest and buries his face into your shoulder, trying to stifle his sobs. You’re still upset with him, but for now you just wrap your arms around him, the charms on your own wrist jingling. It’s not like San to be this emotional, you think worriedly… he must have had a lot more to drink than what you had thought. Then he speaks.
“I can’t belong to you anymore.” He mumbles into the crook of your neck brokenly, warm trails running down your shoulder. You utterly confused at his strange words, but then he continues and then you finally get it. “Seonghwa’s so much better for you, such a better person, he’s nice, he’s sweet, he’s kind… I want the best for you, I really do, but why can’t I stop selfishly loving you and just give you to him instead?”
Oh.
Oh.
You don’t know what to feel for a second, every thought has fled your mind and you don’t know what to say, left wordless. San likes you. Choi San actually likes you. And he thinks you like Seonghwa.
This fool.
Your lips work to form words that you’re not even sure of, but before you can, you feel San slump against you, his weight resting on your shoulder and it’s all you can do to keep him upright, you can feel his snores against your skin. You don’t know whether to laugh or cry, instead you settle on doing both, a happy, weak chuckle escaping you as a single tear rolls down your cheek.
“Tell me that again when you’re sober, pabo.” You press a kiss to his temple and turn towards the mouth of the alleyway, pulling San along with you, his warm body pressed against yours. You hear San mumble drunkenly “morning?” under his breath, half asleep and completely knocked out, but you take another step forward, heart overflowing with emotions in this dark night.
Just until next morning.
You can wait that long.
The next morning, San’s eyes blink open, only to be pummeled in the face by a massive headache.
“Ow...” He groans, hunching over on the bed as he presses his fingertips against his forehead, it’s throbbing, alright. Just exactly how much did he drink last night? He clearly had one too many... had Claude driven him back?
Squeezing his eyes shut, he tries to remember the events of the night before... he recalls drinking at the bar with Wooyoung and Yeosang, his shock at seeing you enter the club, searching for someone who could only be him... He remembers trying to run away, seeing Wooyoung brazenly flirting with you and making you feel uncomfortable, red filling his vision and then...
What?
What had happened?
You.
Where were you?
Panic crashes into him and he jumps out of bed as fast as he physically can, bare feet touching the wooden floorboards of your room... your room... San’s brain stops working altogether as he gapes at his surroundings... a vase of spring daffodils he had given you a few days ago at the desk... framed photographs of him, you and Seonghwa on the walls... your biology textbooks on the shelves...
A jingling noise catches his attention and he raises a hand to stare at his wrist in complete and utter shock. It’s his charm bracelet, the one with a bell, around his wrist.
How did that get there? He clearly remembers leaving that with Claude before he left the house... unwilling to look at it again...
He looks down, and he’s shirtless. He looks around. It’s your room. He looks down at himself again.
He’s still shirtless.
San screams.
“What happened?” You burst into the room, holding a spatula menacingly and wearing a worried expression on your face. San only screams louder, yanks the blanket up to his chest and wags a shaking finger at you, looking positively horrified. “I... We... Room... Bed-”
“No, we didn’t sleep together, idiot, I took the sofa.” You roll your eyes and step over with three quick steps to gently press a kiss to his cheek. San immediately halts all movement altogether, becoming as still as a statue with comically wide eyes and a mouth hanging wide open. He doesn’t even move when you step out of the room, and a little part of you feels satisfied that you’ve finally managed to get him back for all those times he’s teased you before.
When you finally return with a tray of warm soup, a glass of warm water and some Advil, San is still standing there, blankly staring into space with one hand pressed to his cheek. You tell him to sit and he does, staring at you in shock the whole time.
“Here.” You pass him the cup and the pills and he swallows them with a gulp of water, shaking his head to regain his bearings. When he looks at you once more, you smile warmly at him with a little, knowing glint in your eye that honestly frightens him a bit.
“How did I get here?” San manages to croak out, his throat raw from the alcohol the night before. You grin a little cockily at him and his heart stutters in his chest, you seat yourself opposite him and take his hand in yours.
San’s eyes widen slightly, you’re behaving uncharacteristically forward with him today. It takes him by surprise but you don’t seem the least bit fazed, instead leaning even closer to meet his eyes with the biggest, brightest grin on your face.
Everything is going into overdrive, he thinks, slightly dazed.
“Someone confessed to me last night.” You whisper confidentially into his ear, eyes so bright and smile so positively radiant that he can’t help but feel happy for you, even though he absolutely despises what this means: Seonghwa must have confessed to you yesterday while the two of you were studying... and he... and he...
You continue rambling with a grin and San allows himself to wallow in his own grief for a moment while you’re distracted. “I’m so happy, you know! Because I’ve liked him secretly for such a long time, but I thought he didn’t like me back... Hey, San! Are you happy for me?”
San snaps back into reality, forcing a smile on his face that he hopes passes for genuine as he nods slowly, eyes downcast. “Yeah...” He can’t meet your gaze right now.
Then, all of a sudden, you smile at him, intertwining your fingers with him and raising your interlocked hands for him to see, your bracelets touching. Your eyes find him, determined and burning with intensity, and his breath leaves him for a moment at the latent fire in your gaze.
“San, would you be mine?”
San chokes.

Blue Hour || Amane Yugi pt. 4/5
Tumblr media
(Amane Yugi x Fem!Reader)
genre: romance, drama and a bit of fantasy
summary: in which the yugi twins, kou minamoto and sousuke mitsuba went to find [name]
"The night without a single starlight, the path we walked on is lonely and regretful"
It was around 7:15 am when Amane woke up from his bed. He scratched his messy hair while looking at Tsukasa hugging his pillow with a tiny drool on the side of his lips. The older twin hopped off the bed as he made his way to his sleeping brother. “Oi Tsukasa, wake up we have to leave early!”
“Five more minutes” Tsukasa groaned against the pillow he was hugging. Amane's eyes twitched in annoyance. Yesterday, Tsukasa was the one pestering his older brother about being excited on the upcoming trip.
Amane lets out an exaggerated sigh, he smacked the back of his brother's head. “Ow! What the—” Tsukasa opened his eyes and rubbed the back of his head pouting. “I'm up!”
“Good.” Amane walks away from their room and went straight to the bathroom. Tsukasa rubbed the back of his head to soothe the pain. He stood up and went to the kitchen to get something to eat.
The shower room was a bit steamy since Amane activated the heater to produce hot water. He sighed, water droplets begin to trickle down from his hair to his skin. Amane placed his hands against the wall in front of him, his hair looked damped as it continues to drip droplets of water like rain.
Amane stepped out of the shower whilst wrapping a towel around his torso. He grabbed another towel to dry his hair and draped it around his neck for a little while.
After drying himself, Amane puts on his undergarments, then his oversized black shirt tuckdd in to his black cargo pants. He grabbed a belt and buckled it to his pants. Finally, he grabbed his white hoodie with a silhouette of a rocket ship as a design and puts it inside his bag.
“Tsukasa, are you done?” Amane asked, grabbing his black backpack nearby and putting on one of its straps.
Tsukasa came out, he's wearing a grey shirt with striped sleeves that has a smiley face on it. He's wearing black shorts, he doesn't like anything that covers his legs. “Yeah, I'm done!”
“Mitsuba and the Minamoto kid must be waiting for us.” Amane beckoned him to go downstairs to the doorway to change their shoes. “If we don't go early, we wouldn't be able to find her. [name] said to meet her in 5:53 pm so let's go!”
“We need some food too, Amane!” Tsukasa went to the kitchen and grabbed two packs of Lays. He stuffed it inside Amane's backpack. “Okay, that's all!”
‘I was gonna say that we're gonna eat in a fast food restaurant but that works I guess.’ Amane puts on his black chonky-soled boots. “Let's go.” he stood up as the twins went out of their house, starting their quest to find [name].
Tumblr media
“We just have to ride two trains towards Sanaol Academy.” Mitsuba mentions. “We don't have to waste four hours of getting there.”
Kou looked over to Amane and sweatdropped. “Senpai, why are you dressing so casually? I thought we're supposed to find [name]?” he said.
“He's going to flex his fashion sense for [name].” Mitsuba smugs at Amane earning a smack from the latter, the pink haired boy is known for being a cocky bastard and a tease especially to his close friends.
“Let's go to the train station.” Amane tells the three boys who were glancing all over the place. They nodded as they followed Amane towards the nearest station to take the train towards Yokohama to [name]'s school.
The train ride took longer than they thought it would be. Tsukasa was sitting on one of the seats while texting with someone on the phone. Mitsuba and Kou were sleeping next to each other during the ride. As for Amane, he remained standing, clinging on one of the handles next to Tsukasa's seat.
Amane was listening through his headphones while scrolling through his phone. The train stopped for the people who are going to leave and the people who are going inside.
Amane has his eyes on his phone that he didn't even realize that the train was crowding with people. A certain girl wearing a fluffy jacket with a crop top underneath and a pair of cargo pants passed by the standing boy.
Then, he heard a sound that made his eyes widen. Amane looked over to the person who just passed by but they were already gone. “Amane?” Tsukasa called. “What are you looking at?”
Amane shook his head. “That was nothing.” he replied flatly.
What he did not know is that it was [name] who passed by.
Tumblr media
Amane fell asleep while hanging on to one of the handles in the train. The train halted to its next stop making his eyes flutter open. He pulled out his phone from his pocket. “It's noon already.” he mentions.
“Wake them up.” Amane covered his mouth to yawn as he beckons Tsukasa to wake Mitsuba and Kou since they arrived to Yokohama.
The four of them stepped out of the train. Amane looked around for the person who passed by him that triggered a sound. He furrowed his eyes in confusion and shook his head. “You three want something to eat?”
“I mean, we’re hungry anyways of course we want to.” Mitsuba cocked an eyebrow at Amane as if the answer is obvious that they were hungry because of the train ride. Amane looked over to his phone, then pointed at the distance.
“There’s a fast food restaurant that we can go to.” He pointed out.
“Then what the hell were we waiting for? New Year? Let’s go!” Mitsuba waves his hands towards Kou and Tsukasa who were admiring the tall buildings and the roaming transportations. The four boys started to walk their way to a nearby restaurant.
After ordering their food from the counter, the four of them took some seats by the window. “Now that we’re here, when do we start looking?” Kou unwrapped the wrapper that was around the burger, then took a bite from it. “You said we’ll start by going to Sanaol Academy”
“After we eat I guess.” Amane sipped on the cherry soda he was drinking, looking at the window deep in thought. He was kind of nervous of meeting [name] like he wanted to make a good impression of her. “Hmm, what should I say when we meet?”
“Give her a pick up line!” Mitsuba suggested with a cocky grin but it turned into a look of disgust after that. “But not the corny ones of course. Ew.”
“Yeah, Amane!” Tsukasa added, agreeing with Mitsuba's idea. Truth to be told, Amane is a pretty charming guy and everything about him is godly so they're sure that he can initiate a pick up line. “Tell us your best pick up line!”
Amane slowly raised his hand and awkwardly smiled. “Hi...?”
Mitsuba sat there judging Amane with a look of disgust and cringe. Tsukasa's eyes twitched and he looked like he was gonna rant out on how he should make a pick up line. “Amane, you're never gonna have a girlfriend if you stick with that.”
And so when they got out of the restaurant, Mitsuba and Tsukasa gave Amane a lecture about flirting with girls. You can't blame him though, he doesn't have any experience with girls so he has poor knowledge about it. “Maybe you two shouldn't pressure Senpai like that.” Kou worriedly looks at Amane. “Just say hi and smile at her, talk about your backgrounds and stuffs.”
Amane smiled and ruffled his junior's blonde hair. “Thanks, kid.”
“Oi!” Mitsuba whirled around to the two. “We're here in Sanaol Academy.” he pointed out to the gate of the school.
Amane's heart quickened in nervousness, could it be that he was finally meeting [name] behind those letters?
The choppy haired boy saw a girl going out from the school, he decided to go and ask her of she knew [name]. “Ah, excuse me.” Amane called the girl.
“Yo!” she greeted back with a quirkful grin. “Whaddya need?”
“Do you know someone named [name] [surname]?” Amane asked while twiddling his fingers.
“[name]-san?” the girl rubbed her chin to think and then her eyes lit up when she knew. “Oh yes! She's from my dance class!”
“[name]-san is a dancer?” Amane tilted his head.
“Yeah, she takes dancing lessons after school.” She grabbed a lollipop and plopped it inside her mouth. “But she left an hour ago after the practice.”
“Oh.” Amane felt like he was relying on false hope.
“Are you perhaps her boyfriend?”
Mitsuba let out a plfft sound, Tsukasa tried his best not to utter an 'oop' and Kou stood there wondering what the hell is going on. Amane's face turned red till the tips of his ears. “N-No! I-I'm just her friend, that's all—”
“Drop the cap, Amane.” Tsukasa cocked his head and raised his enclosed fist. “We been knew you have a thing for her—”
“Tsukasa I swear—”
“But I think I know wheres she's heading.” The girl interrupted the two twin boys from talking. “[name]-san is always heading towards that abandoned ferris wheel that she's talking about.”
‘The ferris wheel that I keep seeing in my dream and the postcard!’
“Do you know where this ferris wheel is?” Amane handed her the postcard which contains the picture of the ferris wheel.
“It wasn't that far but it wasn't that near either, I'll let you borrow my bike for that matter. Oh and my name is Yiren.”
Yiren told Amane which way he should go to the ferris wheel. The choppy haired boy nodded at every word she says. “...And then you'll see the ferris wheel.”
“That's a long way to go...” Kou commented.
Amane gets on the bike and looked at the three. He gripped on to the handle and then sets his foot down for a moment. “Tsukasa, I'll go find [name]-san, you guys should go ahead.”
“Yiren-san, thank you.” And so Amane started to pedal towards his destination to find [name].
“So that guy was [name]-san's pen pal.” Yiren smiled, crossing her arms. She looked over to the three and grinned. “Wanna go to the arcade?”
Tumblr media
“This is a pretty bumpy ride.” Amane kept his balance steady since he's going down to a steep hill. The sky suddenly turned into a mixture of pink, purple and orange, giving it a sunset vibe. The way the wind blows against his hair as it lifted his bangs up.
Amane tried hoisting his head up to get a better look until he saw something lose his balance.
The ferris wheel.
Amane wobbled as if he was going to fall at any moment but ended up falling off the bike. He rolled down to the grassy hill, writhing in pain at the impact. Then, it stopped.
“Ahck!” Amane hissed at the pain. There was a bruise on his arm because of the fall. He couldn't get up and felt tears pricking from his eyes.
Why was he chasing someone so far? Why was he desperate to find [name]? He was almost there, almost to the ferris wheel, almost there to meeting her.
But Amane wouldn't give up that easily.
He wouldn't give up because he loves [name], and he'd come so far for looking for her.

so i’ve watched like three straight days of maine cabin masters and my idiot ass is thinking of the harringtons having a cute little cabin on a lake in maine where they went every summer as a family before his dad started making bank and didn’t have the time anymore.
it’s been seventeen years since steve’s been up there. he doesn’t live at home anymore. he has a job that doesn’t really make him happy, but doesn’t really make him miserable, either. he has plenty of savings from the government coverup but doesn’t have anywhere to go with it. nothing to spend it on. the kids get older. they leave for college. he’s in his mid-twenties and complacent and isn’t all that motivated to change anything.
he gets dinner with his parents when they’re in town in the spring. his mom is talking about a lodge they stayed in when they visited basque country over christmas and he suddenly remembers the cabin. he waits until his mom is done relaying unimportant details like the color of the drape tassels to ask his dad if they still have the cabin in maine, and it’s evident on his face that he’d forgotten about it, too. he looks sort of wistful for a moment but it passes quickly. yeah, they still own it. no, nobody’s been up there in a while. steve doesn’t really think before he’s saying, “can I take a trip up there?”
his parents stare at him for a second like they’re surprised he’s actually interested in doing something, which. not unfair. his dad can’t remember where he put the keys but gives steve the address and tells him to find a locksmith who can get him inside. (steve plans on elbowing through a window or something to save on time and the hassle).
he subleases his apartment and leaves. everyone he likes is either away at school or just. away. moving on with their lives. he doesn’t have anyone to say goodbye to beyond telling his boss he’s quitting.
it takes a while to get up there, but he does, eventually. the cabin is hard to find and it looks so bad on the outside that steve has to triple check the address on the adjacent cabins to make sure it’s the right place. he thinks it’s maybe not just him who hasn’t been here in almost twenty years.
he stays in a hotel and gets up early to meet the contractor. she looks like she’s holding in a laugh when she introduces herself as kali. “look,” she says. “I’m going to be straight with you. this place is literally falling apart.”
steve doesn’t know what to say so he says, “yeah.”
“we can do a walkthrough,” she continues, “but I guarantee that this is going to make your budget look like pocket change.”
steve doesn’t really want to say it’s his dad’s money, so he shrugs and says, “let’s do it,” and watches her pick the lock.
the foundation is rotted out. the floor is rotted out. the porch is rotted out. she points at things and says any variety of that has to go or we’d start by taking that out or when was the last time you were up here again? they need to hire a plumber and a landscaper and an electrician and probably an exterminator, too, and kali doesn’t say anything when she watches him write a check for half the amount she quotes. she gives him a calculating look with kohl-rimmed eyes and says, “all right. we’ll be here tomorrow morning.”
steve shows up at seven because he doesn’t have anything better to do and there’s already a truck parked outside. a tall guy with a beanie shoved low over his forehead is tearing the porch off the front of the house and steve goes over to him and tries not to get hit with any falling debris.
“hi,” he says and has to stand there a minute before the guy looks at him. “I’m steve. is kali around?”
she’s inside the cabin and is leaning over the sink when steve walks in. she yells no. no. no. out the open window to her right as the water continues to run and then yes that’s it we got it as it cuts off abruptly. she looks unsurprised when she turns around and sees him standing in the doorway.
“hi,” he says again. “I’m here to help.”
“you’re paying us to do this for you, you know,” she says, but something in her face makes steve feel like she gets it.
a guy with his hair pulled into a tight bun at the nape of his neck hoists himself through the front door from where the porch used to be. “hey,” he says, all silk, when he sees steve.
“billy, this is steve harrington. the homeowner.” she stresses the word enough that steve literally cannot not notice the emphasis. billy rolls his eyes and shakes steve’s hand. it’s rough with calluses and steve would be stupid not to think about what that would feel like on his skin.
“billy hargrove,” he says. “head carpenter.”
“steve’s here to help with demo,” kali says.
“well,” billy says. he gives steve one of the most obvious once-overs he’s ever seen. “welcome aboard. you’re gonna help me knock down these interior walls, pretty boy. heads up, though. you might break a nail.”
billy shows him how to use a stud finder and how to cut into the walls to make sure there aren’t any loose wires running through it and then he fucking kicks the wall in and gives steve a wild grin as the drywall dust settles into his blond hair.
steve comes back every day to see billy. he doesn’t even bother lying to himself. billy is funny and sharp and always seems to have a comeback for anything anyone ever says. he shows steve how to build things. stands at his shoulder and watches him use the staple gun on the trim. brings him lunch when he goes out to get food for the rest of the crew.
he tells steve that his mom sent him to live with a friend who had moved from san diego to bangor a few years before. his parents split and she didn’t want him living with his dad. he says susan is a little ditzy but she means well, and she didn’t give up on him during his rougher years in high school even though he isn’t even her kid. he calls her daughter my sister and gets a pinched expression on his face when he talks about how she’s been going through her teenage angst since she was eight and how they’re still figuring out how to not always be at each other’s throats.
it takes a month for them to take out the rotted lumber and to fix the foundation and floor and porch and roof. billy shows steve the crumbly mess in the insulation that means he has an ant infestation. steve helps make the framing for the bathroom and bedroom walls and helps lay the stones for the walkway down to the lake. he spends all day at the work site, then he goes back to the hotel, has dinner, crashes. rinse and repeat. he spends the days the crew isn’t working exploring sort of idly and missing the smell of sawdust.
when kali declares the place habitable, he buys a mattress and drops it onto the floor of the master bedroom, which is still missing its walls. he checks out of the hotel and buys some groceries and spends his evenings down at the lake, his own private little waterfront. he tries reading but the only salvageable book in the cabin is walden and he can’t make it past the first page.
he hears axel and mick talking about a meteor shower one night. once the crew is gone and the sky is turning purple-navy, he goes down to the lake and lays back to look at the stars. they’re brighter out here, brighter than hawkins, somehow, and the sky feels endless.
he turns to look over his shoulder when he hears footsteps crunching through the undergrowth in his direction. “just me,” billy calls through the dark. he drops down heavily next to steve and passes over a beer and a hamburger wrapped in greasy foil. casual, like they do this all the time. his hair is down and curly and he’s wearing a red shirt unbuttoned to his navel, where it’s tucked into his jeans. he’s wearing cologne, too, and billy smiles when he sees it get steve’s attention.
they talk and they sit in comfortable silence and then they talk again. billy seems to be getting closer and closer until their shoulders and thighs are pressed together and their elbows are knocking. when billy turns to look at him, their noses almost brush, and steve knows billy doesn’t miss the way his eyes drop to his mouth.
“have you swam in the lake yet?” he asks instead and gives steve a wicked smile when he shakes his head, and then he’s up and stripping down and is in the water, wet hair slicked back over his head, before steve’s brain has even puttered beyond looking at billy’s mouth. “come on it, pretty boy! water’s fine.”
he unabashedly watches steve undress and reaches for him immediately once he’s in the water. no preamble. just. puts a hand on his hip. when steve doesn’t move back, he slips an arm around steve’s waist, and then the other. their knees bump under the water and billy noses at steve’s cheek. kisses him on the chin and the corner of his mouth before he kisses his bottom lip. they kiss and kiss, the water not even up to their collarbones, and steve has never been so aware of the night noises around them. cicadas in the trees. a loon some ways away. something shrieks in the distance and it startles steve enough that he stumbles in billy’s grip, and billy tightens his hold and tilts his chin closer again and whispers, “it’s just a fisher cat,” into the crease of his lips.
they start heading back to the cabin before billy makes them double back for the food wrappers and beer bottles and steve grabs their clothes so he has something to do with his hands. he’s never run naked through the trees before but there’s something freeing about it. for some reason, the trees out here don’t look as threatening as the ones in hawkins. maybe they’re older, wiser. maybe they’ve seen more and know how to protect him and billy from whatever else is out there.
steve clears away the painting tarp over the bed and barely has it on the ground before billy is crowding against him, skin dry but hair dripping at the ends over his freckled shoulders. they lose track of time in a cabin they rebuilt together.
billy’s hand on his chest is what wakes him up. the sun is filtering in through the windows and billy is trying to press a mug of coffee into his hands. steve doesn’t own mugs or coffee or a coffee maker out here. steve sits up and leans against the wall, right where they’ve sketched out the custom headboard billy’s going to help him carve, and lets the blanket pool around him in a way that has billy’s gaze dropping, the apples of his cheeks going a little pink. he looks good in the morning sun, in the little bits of dust floating through the air.
“where’d you find the coffee maker?” steve asks. “and the change of clothes?”
billy gives him a big shark smile but sounds a little sheepish when he says, “I was hedging my bets on needing morning provisions.”
steve makes them eggs and bacon and toast and they sit out on the new front porch to eat and wait for the rest of the team to show up. billy keeps leaning in to kiss his ear, the hinge of his jaw, the side of his neck. just pecks. they still set steve on fire.
billy stays that night, and the next, and the next, and the next. they go swimming for real, eventually, and play cards, and fall asleep outside in the grass with their fingers twisted together. out in the open as much as in their own little world.
kali knows something is going on between them, even if steve doesn’t know if billy told her or she figured it out herself. when it’s just the three of them in a room, billy likes to pitch his voice down, low enough to be husky, but loud enough to be overheard, and gives steve directions more gutturally than usual. pull out a little, he’ll say, all breathless, when they’re fitting the doorframes. now push it back in. harder. mm, yeah, steve. right there. steve doesn’t know if it’s meant to be embarrassing or not but he laughs himself red in the face anyway.
they finish the cabin over the next six weeks. if steve hadn’t been there every day for almost three months, he might have thought he’d gotten the address wrong. it looks like a house, first of all. the outside is a soft brown to blend into the trees. there’s a little living room with a couch and a little table with two artfully mismatched chairs in the kitchen. there’s a huge window in the master bedroom overlooking the lake. steve has never really felt drawn to the water as a non-great-lakes-midwestern kid, but every time he looks out over the lake, he wonders if he even wants to go back to hawkins.
it feels weird giving kali the second half of the payment, knowing he won’t see her again. he hugs her and she pats him awkwardly on the elbows until he lets go. one by one, the rest of the team leaves, and it’s not until steve’s standing alone in the fading sunlight that he realizes that billy’s gone, too.
it’s the first time billy’s just left without saying anything about where he was going and when he was coming back. that deep, dark part of steve says they were just fooling around during the job, but he drinks a beer and talks himself out of panicking. he makes himself a sandwich. lays in the bed. showers. doesn’t really know what to do with himself now that the job is done and billy is gone.
he’s laying on the couch and staring up at the ceiling when the sound of a key scraping in the lock has him on his feet on instinct to do -- something, he didn’t really think that far ahead -- but then the door wedges open and billy’s head appears around it.
“sorry,” he says when he sees steve still gaping. “didn’t mean to scare you. we just -- kali forgot to give you back your spare.”
steve watches him reach out and hang the key ring around the hook next to the door. it overlaps steve’s set.
“oh,” steve says. “thanks.”
billy gives him a little smile and looks like he’s going to leave, but then they’re both saying wait in the same moment and billy’s smile reappears around the door, wide but shy.
“stay,” steve says.
billy slides the rest of the way past the door. he has a small duffle thrown over the shoulder steve couldn’t see behind the door and he’s holding a bottle of cheap grocery store champagne.
“I was hoping you’d say that,” billy says. now that steve’s shown his hand, it’s  like billy’s found his footing again. he drops his bag and goes over to the cabinet to pull out two mugs, sets them on the counter. he wraps an arm around steve where’s he’s drifted over without really meaning to. billy kisses the corner of his mouth and presses the bottle into his hands. the foil is already peeled off the cork. “I heard you’re celebrating a housewarming. you wanna do the honors?”

Hello! Hope you're having a wonderful day 💖💖💖 I had a little thought and I hope it's okay to ask about. So remember in the earlier chapters when bakugo beat the absolutely snot out of izuku before they started going to UA? So like what do you think would have gone down if Aizawa had found him while he was healing in his noodly form (I hope this isn't an odd question feel free to ignore it if you want ily 💖)
Aizawa never claimed to know exactly how things work out in different situations. The act of claiming such surety when in hero work was a fool-proof way to get set up for disaster. So, to say he knew how things would play out now that he had a name, face, and even school to attach to the only solid lead in his… search... for the creature was not correct. And, apparently, things would go so wildly different from what he could have ever expected that he actually ends up at a sort of loss.
He was crouched on the top of a building that was under construction when he heard it. A faint choked wheeze. Almost like someone trying to hold back a cough. He looked around to see nothing nearby and stopped, leaning over the edge of the rooftop a little further and tilting his head a little. Nothing. A moment. The breeze died down til it was almost uncomfortably quiet for a city block.
The sound came again. Below. He looked and saw a tarp covered window frame about a meter down. Seeing as he had no idea what he may be dropping in on, most likely someone homeless trying to stay out of the breeze, Aizawa looked for a place to anchor himself so as to rappel down the side of the building. He settled next to the window, just out of the frame’s view and making sure his shadow didn’t get cast onto it.
Whoever was inside seemed to lose their battle with their cough. It was harsh and followed by a retching sound and the clear sound of a splatter. They were sick. That or they took too much of something and regardless Aizawa felt the need to help.
He stepped to the side and let his foot settle in the sill as he ducked in, pushing the tarp aside and freezing immediately.
The thing was laid out on its side. Fur was missing in large swathes and he could see, even from this far, even with how dark it was, both how tense it was and how much of its skin had been horribly burnt. He was careful with how he circled it at a wide berth, rounding its tail and stopping when he saw the yellow bag, also heavily damaged, sitting a bit away. It was the same one that the kid at the exams had walked off of campus wearing. He glanced over and saw the way one of the antennae was lifting shakily in his direction, as if just moving that much was a laborious task. Aizawa circled further and saw the eyes tacking him slowly. Vomit was pooled not far from its… from a presumably his head. Tears glimmered down his muzzle and he let out a whine as he closed his many eyes, the pupils having gone slightly unfocused the longer they had held eye contact.
Aizawa was… not even remotely aware of how to approach this. Sure, he had imagined different ways he could have run unto the creature previously but none of those scenarios had involved him being so heavily injured.
“I’m going to help if I can. Alright?” Aizawa looked at where the skin was peeled and heard a soft whine drift from the creature. A glance towards his face again showed all the eyes suddenly very focused on him. The different pupils showed an odd mix of slit and blown, taking in more or less light depending on how far out of the outside light they were.
“I need more light than is in here. I have a phone and am going to use the light. I won’t touch you without asking or letting you know.”
There was no response. He remembered the creature talking but he wasn't sure if that was just a special thing it had to work up to or if this was actually a far more extensive injury than he could see at current. He slowly walked towards the massive form, thin and incredibly bony sides rising and falling shakily. He pulled out his phone and turned on the flashlight and reflexively clenched his jaw at what he saw.
The burns were much larger than he had initially thought and undoubtedly much deeper. The way the edges were torn and bleeding, actively, was probably just a massive welcome sign to infection. Even with the visual once over he gave it he knew he was absolutely not qualified to handle burns to this degree alone. He held in a sigh and stepped back again, turning off his light.
“I’m going to have to call someone t-”
“No!” The creature lifted his head quickly only for it to choke and throw up on the floor. It was all bile, not a speck of food or anything in it. That was not so alarming to Aizawa as the realization that even the other patches of vomit were exactly the same. It looked like the creature hadn’t eaten at all for a while.
He sucked in a frustrated breath before slowly letting it out. He walked towards the head of the creature, stepping carefully around the puddles of bile and saw how his head shook slightly before he gave up and set it back on the ground. A beat. He dropped into a practiced crouch.
“You are the kid, aren’t you. From the exam that took out the zero pointer?” Aizawa watched panic flash across the many eyes before cautious walls were visibly being built right in front of him. “So this isn’t a Quirk. I used Erasure on you when we first met and you stayed like this. That or your human form is the Quirk.”
Eleven eyes and not an answer to find in them.
“I am honestly just wanting to get your burns treated. Do you have anyone I can call that would make you feel better about that?” He wasn’t expecting a response. Afterall, he came to hide in an empty building instead of going to someone who could help. Unless he just couldn’t move, in which case Aizawa has even more obstacles to work around here.
The eyes drifted slightly to a middle distance before refocusing directly on Aizawa’s phone that hung lazily in his hand.
“All Might.” He warbled the words with a casualness that had Aizawa lifting an eyebrow in disbelief.
“Kid, All Might doesn’t just come to every injury or incident that ther-” Aizawa started to explain before he got cut off with a huff turned cough.
“Call. All Might.” The warble was pointed and Aizawa sighed and picked up his phone and scrolled through his contacts.
“I only have the number for his secretary.” He looked up at him, thinking this would be a sort of deterrent.
“Call Yagi-san.” The creature corrected and promptly closed his eyes.
Aizawa was genuinely taken aback at the knowledge of All Might’s secretary’s name. It wasn’t exactly common knowledge. That was probably what allowed him the curiosity that made him hit call. He held the phone up to his ear and watched the antennae press forward carefully. It rang three times before he heard the near anxious voice of the thin man.
“E-Eraserhead! What can I do for you at this time of night?”
Aizawa didn’t even get to answer as the creature let out an almost pitifully loud warble. The tonal shift was immediate and Aizawa wasn’t sure if that made him more or less confused and, admittedly, he was beginning to feel some nervousness.
“Where are you?” There was a severity in Yagi’s voice, an urgency, that Aizawa hadn’t been aware the secretary could even muster from the few times they had met.
“In an apartment complex that’s being built. I found-” Aizawa watched how the tension was slowly seeping out of the creature.
“I know who you found. Send me your location. I will be there shortly.” The phone hung up before he could even reply.
The only thought he had as he lowered the phone slowly, almost absently sending a pin of his location to the secretary, was that he absolutely had not gotten enough sleep for this. There wasn’t nearly enough energy in his brain right now to process the incredibly large amount of information he was getting from such a brief interaction.
