Prompt: How would the straw hats react to reader being a mind reader? Please and thanks
Repost of mine from libary of ohara
Sanji Sanji is sweating because every time he has an intimate thought about you or anyone else, he can feel eyes on him. You glare and he fidgets under the intensity of it, wondering if you will blurt out the dirty thoughts to anyone else.
Every time he thinks it’s safe to think about how good the woman at the bar would look without their dress, he has to stop himself, turning with a wide eye and seeing you glare at him while sipping your drink. Just ruins the boy’s entire life.
Usopp Another one who just opens and closes his mouth when you are around because after he lies and tells people these big, impressive stories that didn’t happen. You side up to him and ask him why he lied, you are so casual about it too.
Every time he’s about to lie to anyone, you raise an eyebrow, and he just laughs loudly and pretends like it was all fun and games. Now whenever he wants to talk to someone, he literally looks around to see if you are about
Chopper
He is so amazed! That’s a great power to have! He bounces up and down and is just giddy and asks you all about it. You sometimes read his mind and it goes from dumb stuff like ‘I want candy floss’ to something like complex potions to cure all manner of illnesses.
Robin She terrifies you. She’ll be sat there reading a book or just casually sitting at the bar, elbow keeping he propped up, hand on her cheek, her smile just slyly grows as your eyes do when you read what’s on her mind. She loves to mess with you.
She’ll purposely think of something dark or downright filthyand chuckle softly when she gets the reaction, she wants from you.
Nami Oh, you stopped doing that. You completely turn off your power when it comes to Nami, she can somehow always tell when you are in her head, and she’ll turn around with her hand outstretched and tell you the show was more money than you have.
Zoro Zoro’s mind is boring, it’s full of a collection of very ‘Zoro’ things such as booze, hating Sanji, working out and his swords. Plus, Zoro never thinks anything that he wouldn’t say out loud, he’s no fun and he knows that’s how you think and always smirks and thinks ‘nice try’
Franky Franky’s mind gives you a headache if you stay there too long. His face might often say ‘head empty’ but he is always thinking loudlyto himself and has so many projects flying through his head. So many complex designs, schismatics, maths, it’s all very exhausting for you.
Brook Brook doesn’t care if you read his mind so he’s very chill around you, he’s normally just humming inside his mind, and you hate that he can get songs stuck in your head. Like a constant source of the sound, if he’s not humming in his head, he’s humming out loud or thinking about asking if he should ask someone to see their panties.
Jinbei I imagine it’s very serene in there, like a little koi pond with the sound of wind chimes and you just get lost in there until he stubs his toe or something and it’s like a loud internal scream. Same when any of the crew does something stupid and poor Jinbei has to pick up the pieces.
Luffy “THAT’S SO COOL.” He’ll yell at you. The entire reason you’re on the crew was that Luffy found out you can read minds and he needed that on his crew like right now. He’ll sit there and always go “What am I thinking now?…. and now?… and now!!” and it’s always ‘wow that’s so cool’ or ‘I’m hungry, I’m going to ask them to get me meat…”

the little things they do — luffy, zoro, nami, usopp & sanji.
summary: what do they do that makes you tick? that makes your heart glide through your chest and fester at your throat? that makes you glissade through hell itself, for the pleasure that it brings?
warnings: slight tension but no nsfw, fluff, nothing too bad!
notes: i started binge watching op / opla recently and decided to give i a go at writing for them! literally could not stop my fingers from typing this out. i’m a little new to op, so i hope you enjoy nonetheless :-] i promise im working on another part of college melodrama! i just wanted to try something new to get the brain juices flowing <3
sanji — moves you by your waist
sanji is keen with his women, but with you, he’s even more so. he’s gentle with it, even if he doesn’t need to be, because you make him aberrantly nervous, yet vilely confident in his etiquette — and today just cements it. it’s a boring day, and that prompts you to keep yourself stationed in the kitchen, where the rest of the straw hats find their own circles to situate themselves in (pure boredom, much to sanji’s dismay). the space is overcrowding and you’re halfway into disputing something that luffy insists is true fact, when sanji’s mellow palms come to gripe gently, carefully, at your waist — “excuse me, beautiful,” he mouths, fiendish and close to tasting his teeth in a marvellous grin as he effortlessly moves you, gingerly in so many ways, so he can reach the cabinet. you stutter out some convoluted version of a yes, o-of course! … safe to say, you can barely pay much consideration to luffy’s rebuttal as the tepedity of the cook’s hands lay in repetitive, illusive strokes against your hips for more times than one to just consider it an act to retrieve spices from a cabinet.
zoro — has one hand in your back pocket
he’s silent, mischievous with his antics. the upper part of your brain warns you of his skepticism, his cruelly hard body, his thick cheek. but your heart buds violently under what you can only assume is his effect. and it’s only furthered, when you are too close to him for comfort in this mini-party the crew has going on atop the going merry. you spot him nodding off in the corner of your eye, barely even knowing of his current footing in his chair as he slumps off. you urge him to go to bed, to ditch the drinks and gain a full night’s rest. but he shakes his head stiffly, his rather large hand slinking into the back pocket of your pants, where it lays dormant and so, so close to squeezing. “stay. this way, i won’t lose you.” you fail to yelp, because every nerve has been short-wired. twisted. re-twisted. re-wired. you can only stand close, fluxing against the warmth of his palm in your back pocket, as the faintest of reds colour his cheeks. a smile is welcome.
luffy — hugs your waist
being a captain is luffy’s share of the burden that comes with his quest of finding the one piece. he swears its easier than he allows it, but his body is different on days like these. days when he’s laying, tired and inaccessible to his usual bouts of energy. days like these, you can’t navigate around his lethargy, that comes slow and unmoving, similar to his resolve. his arms are around you, tight and interlocking further like a snake, his face buried against your stomach as he uses you as a stationary pillow. and you try to remind him that there are things you need to resume, things you need to conduct on the going merry, but when you turn to move, excuse yourself, he tightens, and his nose brushes against the sensitive skin beneath your button up in a nimble attempt to get you to stay still. “mmm… five—no, ten more minutes… i promise.”
nami — rests her head in the crook of your neck
it’s not an easy job sorting the day’s itinerary into tidy, little boxes and shelves, whilst the boat rocks to a cathartic beat around you. nami is here, to help you, but you are unable to shake off the tension wearing you down. your skin feels like paper and the bottom side of your shoes are sticky with sea water and your hands feel like rubber. you could rival luffy. it makes you feel awful, gets you hot and antsy so quickly, that nami blinks twice. of course, you apologise. you always have. but nami gets the directive before you do, and she reaches forward to hug you close to her chest. her nose tickles your neck and the space is living with her breath — the crook of your neck. “how about we stay like this for a bit, hm?” it’s more for your own means to find ground amongst your frustrations, to help you calm down, but nami has always loved being close to you. she always has.
usopp — holds you close to protect you
the great captain usopp. mighty warrior of the sea. well, not the great when the sea is colliding into rows of wood at maximum speed, which rocks the entire great vessel. you try to be less of a deterrence, try to find your own standing in the room you’re in with usopp, but your body is thrown across the room in one fell swoop, where you meet halfway into usopp’s chest. there’s a messy string of syllables that leave your lips, a creaky apology as you try to maintain some space between you (for the sake of your enervated heart), but he’s quicker. an ability derived from his sharp-shooter skills, you’re sure. his arm wraps around your waist and he allows you to crowd his chest. allows you to hold him like a pillar against the raging sea when it sends a rather alarming rock to the ship. “hold on tight — you’ve got nothing to worry about with captain usopp here. you hear?”

── 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐀𝐘 𝐍𝐎 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐓
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: your daughter really wants a cat, and you're adamant that the answer is no... until it starts to look like a yes.
𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: sanji x wife!reader
𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 2.4k
𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: daughter oc, sanji and reader have a child, chaos ensues, no use of Y/N
𝐚/𝐧: a very happy mother's day to all the mothers out there! had this in the drafts so i decided today would be the perfect day to finish it :)
𝐎𝐏 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓
“So unfair!”
“Dyla! Dyla!” You called after your daughter as she sprinted down the hall, nearly slipping on her socked feet, and disappeared around the corner. A door slammed a second later.
You ran a hand over your face as your husband sauntered in from the kitchen, eyeing the hall as if to see that the coast was clear. Sanji had a habit of disappearing the moment your daughter showed signs of a tantrum.
Today was one of the worst ones, all because you’d told her no. Sighing, you managed not to throttle Sanji when he grinned and offered you a cookie, fresh from the oven. You swiped it and took a bite, letting the stress roll off your shoulders as the cookie melted on your tongue.
“What’s she fussing about?” Sanji wondered, prompting you to roll your eyes to the heavens as you shoved the whole cookie in your mouth, swallowing it too early and wincing as you choked it down.
“She wants a cat,” you told him as you placed your hands on your hips.
Sanji raised a brow. “And you said no?”
“Of course I said no!” You pinched your brow. “We can’t take care of a cat.”
“... Why not?”
You shot him a sharp look, gesturing toward the window giving you a beautiful view of the sea and her rolling waves. The small ship rocked underneath you. “I’ll give you one guess.”
He followed your gesture and had the nerve to shrug, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “So? Cats love water.”
You flicked his forehead and swept over to clean up the pile of blankets Dyla had left out from her pillow fort. “Wrong. They hate water.”
“A cat would chase off the mice?”
“Whose side are you on, Sanji?” You tossed all the blankets into one pile as your gaze was drawn back down the hall again.
“No one’s, my love,” he said softly, resting his hands on your shoulders and rubbing small circles on your back. “I’ll talk to her. Maybe Aunt Nami will make her a stuffed cat when we dock in a few days.”
That brought a smile to your face, though only slightly. Sanji pressed a kiss to the back of your head. “She’ll be over it in an hour.”
“You sure?”
“Aren’t I always?”
“... I won’t dignify that with a response.”
And sure enough, three days later, when you docked in Cocoyashi Village, Dyla’s mood had improved greatly. Hopefully, by the time your family returned to your sea-top restaurant drifting somewhere in the East, Dyla will have given up on her cat fixation.
That was until Aunt Nami promptly squashed all your hopes.
“Aww, c’mon,” Nami whined, a pouting Dyla on her hip. “Let ‘er have a cat.”
Sanji barely choked back a laugh at the way your whole face fell at your daughter’s sudden excitement. You ran your hand over your face, pulling at your skin, and shot Nami a glare. “Our lifestyle isn’t ideal for a cat.”
Dyla groaned, dropping her head onto Nami’s shoulder. Catching your eye, Nami chuckled nervously. “Oh, yeah. I don’t think a kitty would like living on the water, kid.”
Again, a prolonged whine came from your child. Nami pursed her lips, obviously trying to think of something, before her face brightened. “Hmm, does it have to be a cat?”
Dyla lifted her chin, head tilted. “Huh?”
“Your pet. Does it have to be a cat?”
Your daughter spent a moment in thought, her eyes flickering to side as if assessing invisible calculations, before she shrugged. “I guess not.”
Nami beamed at her and shot you a grin. “Perfect! What if we find a pet that would love being at sea, huh? I think your mom would compromise.”
Dyla’s hopeful eyes found you in an instant, and you grinned halfheartedly. “If you find a pet that likes water, and promise to take care of it… I’ll say yes.”
She let out a giddy squeal, squirming out of Nami arms and racing toward the rows of tangerine trees. Dyla wasted no time in digging around in the dirt. She talked to herself off in the distance, tripping over roots and kicking around fallen, rotten fruits. Nami bumped your shoulder with her own, now standing between you and your husband. “You’re welcome.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you laughed softly. “With our luck, she’ll bring back a cobra.”
“Compromise,” Nami sang, starting toward the little girl now hanging from a low tree branch, screaming for help at the top of her lungs.
Sanji swept around and took both your hands, quickly drawing you away with a tiny smirk on his lips. You raised a brow. “Yes?”
“The others will be here by evening,” he said. “Which means we only have a few hours to ourselves.”
Shooting a glance back over your shoulder, you found Nami somehow waving you off whilst she held Dyla’s legs up, the girl monkey-barring up and down the branch. You whipped back around and gripped Sanji’s hand in a vice, giggling like a kid again. “Let’s go.”
Up and down the streets of Cocoyashi’s neighboring port, if you could even call the little village a port, you and Sanji raced and teased and danced around markets and docks. His lithe fingers tickled at your slides as he ducked through the meager crowd, and your sneaky hands tugged at his hair before you darted behind a stack of crates.
Sanji’s arms caught your middle when you tried the trick again, laughter spilling from your lips. Chests heaving, he released you just enough for you to spin in his arms and peck his lips. People were staring, sure, but neither of you could care less.
Sanji suggested the pair of you find something to thank Nami for babysitting. Halfway into agreeing, you spotted something… odd, just over his shoulder. Lightly tapping his arm you moved around him and slinked toward the tower of metal crates resting in the shade of a building. Beside it a market stand of various jewels and fine metals were being sold.
“You wanna get her a necklace or somethin’?” Sanji wondered aloud, promptly guiding you forward with a hand on your back till you dug in yoru heels and grabbed him by his shirt sleeve. You only shook your head, slowly approaching the vendor.
You stopped in front of the crate tower, and only then did Sanji realize what the matter was. Within the confines of the very bottom crate was a creature, curled into itself. Its little body was orange and striped and shivering. As you knelt on the ground, two of the tiniest fear-filled yellow eyes peered out at you.
Emotions welled up within you. Reaching out a hand to tap the cage bar, your heart tightened around nothing when the cub flinched away. “That can’t be comfortable, can it…”
“Ah!” The creaky voice of the vendor interrupted your thoughts. “I see you’ve found my little friend!”
Your eyes darted up to find a sorry excuse for a man staring down at you. Sanji stood over you with a matching scowl. The vendor simply kept on with that irritating glow in his eyes. “Right from the jungles of Little Garden!”
Slowly, you rose from the ground and settled the man with a steely look. A thousand possibilities came to mind, but only one arose to topple the rest (a possibility you saw yourself regretting in the very near future). “How much?”
“You won’t find a better—Wait.” The man stammered, hands clasping together as an excited laugh left him. “Of course! You’re very direct, dear! I like it!”
Sanji’s lips curled. “Just tell me the price.”
The man choked on air, cheeks flushing. “Yes, of course. Apologies.” He paused and did a little mental math, taking in the livid expressions on his clients' faces, and also the fact that they seemed in no mood to bargain. “Three thousand berries.”
The expected lashing out, followed by heated bartering, never came. Sanji only reached into his coat pocket and slipped out the appropriate amount of paper slips, slamming it all down on the wooden stand. The vendor’s mouth was agape as he scrambled to pick it all up, absolutely ecstatic at the course of events. “Lovely doing business with you!”
You held back from spitting out what you really wanted to say, instead turning and shoving the tower of crates over, sending them all crashing to the ground. A lid popped off and sent several copies of a supposedly one-of-a-kind bracelet across the market ground (a young woman in the business of purchasing one scoffed and swiftly swept away).
Together, you and Sanji left the scene and the vendor in hindsight, a cramped little crate in the arms of your husband.
Sanji looked down at the crate, then back at you. Your face hadn’t lost that fuming sort of look all the way back to Cocoyashi. “Darling?”
“Hmm?” You blinked suddenly, as if waking up from a bad dream. “Sorry. What?”
“Are you all right?”
You puffed out a sigh. “I’m fine.” Casting the crate a look, “Just wallowing in my hypocrisy.”
“Someone will be happy, though,” Sanji laughed.
You reached Nojiko’s house to find it empty, save for the sleeping form of your host in the dark of her bedroom. Sanji set the crate on the kitchen table and only then did you plop down and run your ahnds through your hair. “I’m too impulsive.”
Sanji came up behind your chair and kissed your head. “No. Just passionate.” He nosed your hair. “I thought it was sweet.”
“Sweet or not,” you started, “we’re down three thousand berries and up one… tiger cub.”
Sanji dropped down to be eye level with the opening of the crate. “I think he’s cute.”
Your husband softened his eyes and inched his hand forward, unthwarted by the cub curling away from his reach. “Dearest, grab some dried tangerines, yeah?”
Choosing to humor him (do tigers even like tangerines?), you rounded the table and swiped a few dried slices form the bowl on the counter. Sanji bounced on his heels like a kid on Christmas, slipping a slice through the bars and waiting. To your great surprise, only seconds passed before the cub lunged forward and took the slice in his little jaws.
Sanji laughed, bright eyes darting up to you. “He likes it!”
You set a hand on his shoulder and leaned down to peer in on your new friend, a grin tugging at your lips. Those little yellow eyes blinked widely as he swallowed all of the treat, a low gurgle signaling his request for more.
Nami and Dyla returned three hours later, your daughter perched on her aunt’s shoulders. Luffy and Chopper were right on their trail after meeting them at the docks, Usopp met up with them on the trail to the orchard, and Zoro appeared somewhere between the docks and the house having little to say about how he got there.
The door swung open and the lot was faced with a peculiar sight; you and Sanji on Nojiko’s couch, which wouldn’t have been odd at all if it weren’t for the tiger curled up on Sanji’s lap.
Nami’s jaw was on the floor, her eyes filled with mirth. She met your eyes and couldn’t hold back her laugh. “That isn’t compromise. That’s conceding.”
Rolling your eyes, you defended weakly. “Plans changed.”
Dyla slid from Nami’s shoulder in one swift motion, on trepid feet as she approached the couch. Her eyes flickered from you and her father before landing on the cub. “Mom?”
“Yes,” you playfully exasperated. “He’s ours.”
She hesitated, eyes widening when the cub yawned, showing off his little fangs. Sanji, barely able to hide his smile, nodded to the bowl on the table. “Bring ‘im a tangerine, love.”
Scrambling to do as he asked, she came back with the whole bowl in hand as the group settled in around the kitchen. Nami hopped onto the table as Zoro leaned beside her, the pair watching on in mixed awe and hilarity.
Zoro scoffed as Dyla squealed at the feel of the cub’s sandpaper tongue on her hand. Despite the apparent smile on his face, he declared to Nami, “If I ever start gettin’ domestic, slap me.”
Nami decided to keep to herself that she knew for a fact Zoro learned to cook just to ensure Luffy ate more than raw materials three meals a day, and that the white powder under his jaw was definitely flour from making pancakes that morning. She pat his shoulder with a shake of her head. “Sure thing, mosshead.”
They tuned back into the conversation just in time to hear Dyla scratch at the cub’s head and announce for them all to hear, “His name is… is… Strawhat!”
The only one to humor the name at all was Luffy, who jumped over to kneel beside Dyla as if he only just tuned into what was happening, his hat hung on the back of his neck. You chuckled wryly. “You sure? You can think of something—”
“Strawhat.” Dyla crept closer to the little tiger, locking eyes with the creature and having some sort of surreal connection only a child could understand. “His name is Strawhat.”
Strawhat mewled as if to agree, pawing at Dyla’s pigtail.
“He’s really cute!” Luffy bellowed through a laugh, waggling his fingers in front of the cub’s face and getting a swipe of claws in return. “Hey, easy, buddy!”
“Quiet down!” Nojiko appeared in all her sleepy glory, hands bracing herself on the door frames, and her eyes scanned over the room till she found Strawhat. She silently blinked and breathed till she shook her head and retreated into her room, murmuring under her breath.
Luffy broke the silent moment by tucking his hat on Dyla’s head, dragging another stifled laugh from her. Strawhat crawled toward her till they were nose to nose, and the cub sneezed so suddenly Dyla lurched backward. A laugh bubbled out of you, hardly hidden behind your hand as you leaned into Sanji. The day’s events quickly caught up to you as your eyes fluttered upon the scene of Luffy and Dyla playing with the tiger cub, now feeling safe and content in that little house with your daughter.
Sanji’s lips found your temple as you struggled to stay awake. Across the room, Zoro rolled his eyes while Usopp and Nami awed, and Chopper finally joined in on the fun and started up a conversation with the little tiger cub.
Safe to say Nojiko was irate by morning, but Dyla smile was positively brilliant.

Unravelling the Mystery
a wee Sanji x Strawhat!reader from the perspective of our favourite archeologist! it’s so self indulgent lol but i just love these lil pirates so much!! my first time writing for one piece too!!
barely proofread or formatted forgive me pls!!!!
no warnings, just fluff, use of YN but gender neutral as much as possible
wc: 1k
Robin loved a mystery.
Whether it be a novel, an ancient archaeological site, or even the small cartoon strip in the newspaper that Nami got delivered every so often, she was all over it, the cogs in her brain whirred like a woman possessed to solve it.
Her newest obsession was the mystery of where her fellow crewmate was going when everyone else was asleep. Every night, she would hear the door creak and their gentle footsteps on the floorboards.
Sleepwalking?
No. It seemed too calculated for that. And if it were sleepwalking, how would that explain the way that they managed to always be in their bed in the morning?
Robin knew in her gut that there was something else happening here, and she was determined to find out what. Not by asking, of course. She would find out in her own special Robin way, by following YN as they left the room, and then staying awake all night to see when they returned. Simple enough really.
That night, she laid with her back to YN, breathing steadily to imitate someone who was dead asleep. Nami’s breaths had evened out too, and like clockwork Robin heard the familiar creak of the floorboards and the door carefully being pried open.
She waited a few seconds before getting up and creeping out of their room.
YN tiptoed ahead of her, bare feet not making a sound on the floor, yawning and rubbing their eyes.
Robin felt in her element as she sneaked behind her crew mate, only a slight pang of guilt in her stomach. Her curiosity overrode that particular emotion.
YN turned left, towards the boys’ room.
With precision, they opened the door slowly, and then shut it behind them without a sound.
Ah. Of course. They're sneaking in to see someone. But who?
Robin’s brain raced with possibilities. Was it the stoic swordsman? Their silly captain? The flirty chef? She went back to her bed, puzzling over each outcome.
When Robin opened her eyes, sunlight streamed onto her face and she was hit with a feeling that she forgot something. She rolled over and saw Nami and YN sound asleep in their respective beds.
Dammit! She fell asleep before she could see YN coming back to bed. Tonight, she would do it. The day could be used to gather some more clues.
At breakfast, she watched YN for any signs of lingering gazes or prolonged touches with any of the other crew mates.
Unfortunately for her she was in the middle of an intense discussion with Usopp and Luffy, trying to explain why their Captain physically couldn’t eat so much that he would actually explode, and missed exactly the telltale signs she was looking for. Hands brushing, a slight blush of the cheeks, eyes meeting with a knowing glint.
The rest of the day proved ineffective for clue gathering, and now asking YN outright seemed almost like admitting to failure, by not being able to solve this mystery. And that simply wouldn’t do. Tonight she would put an end to this and find out to settle her questioning mind.
Again, she feigned sleep and waited for those creaking floorboards. Once she felt like enough time had passed for YN to settle into whoever’s bed it was they were creeping in to, Robin rose from her sheets and moved towards the male quarters.
She imitated the way YN had opened the door, carefully and noiselessly. She stuck her head through the gap and scanned the swinging hammocks for any signs of her friend tangled up with someone. Wrinkling her nose at the smell of, well, men, she willed her eyes to adjust to the dark whilst internally cursing. She couldn’t see anything! This was beginning to frustrate her. Why couldn’t she solve this seemingly simple mystery? She sighed softly, closing the door and stepping back into the hallway.
She made herself a coffee and sipped it while deep in thought. She would just have to stay awake and see if she could spot YN heading back to bed.
She lay in bed reading her book, so lost in the words that she didn’t realise that it was almost sunrise. The footsteps outside the door startled her and she blew out the candle she was using to read and pretended to sleep once more.
The door pushed open, and she stared intently through half shut eyes.
A familiar blonde head stepped into the room, with a sleepy YN cradled in his arms.
Aha! So it was the damn chef after all.
He laid them down impossibly gently, tucking the duvet around them. He knelt down beside their head, and they exchanged some mumbling words before he pressed a tender kiss to YN’s forehead. Their hands were still tangled as he stood to walk away, and he kissed their knuckles so softly that Robin felt a small jolt in her heart. Sanji left the room to prepare breakfast for the crew, and YN was already back asleep.
She suppressed a smile. The thought of her friend creeping into his arms every night, so soft, so tender, so loving, and him gently cradling their body to his every morning before he started work, tucking them in, was so overwhelmingly endearing she could cry. Now she knew why her friend was keeping it a secret, for now at least. However, she was surprised that the lovesick chef was able to keep something like this to himself, but you didn’t need to be as perceptive as Robin is to see how special and genuine this relationship was. They belonged entirely to each other and were secluded in their small bubble of secrecy. She wasn't going to be the one to pop it for them.
And after all, she got what she wanted.
She solved the mystery.

Black Leg Sanji
It wasn’t obvious at first.
Sanji treated you the same as anyone else, always feeding you when you were hungry or offering a pleasant word when you shared the same space together. Sure, he didn’t fawn over you like he did the ladies, and he certainly didn’t treat you as roughly as he did Zoro, but the two of you had your own rapport. Sanji was nice to you, you were nice to him. That was all there was to it. While it was no secret — at least not to the observant eyes of Nami and Robin — that you wanted a little bit more from the flirtatious cook, you were happy with what you got. There was no reason to ruin a good thing with childish feelings, especially not when you were so inexperienced with them.
What you had was fine. It was good even, you supposed.
That was until Sanji started treating you differently.
It happened almost overnight. The camaraderie you shared with him grew into something entirely new. You weren’t sure what to do about it. When you woke up that fateful morning, Sanji seemed distant, though he wouldn’t stop staring at you with the most bewildered expression you had ever seen. Instead of setting a plate down in front of Nami or Robin first, he placed a breakfast platter right under your nose, a rosy blush staining his cheeks. The final nail in the coffin was the shaky compliment you got from him as you left the room.
“You look positively ravishing today, Y/N.”
You froze in place, fingers curled around the doorknob. When you turned, Sanji blinked at you a few times, lips parted as if he wasn’t sure as to what he said. Seconds passed — though it felt more like years — of the two of you staring at one another. Ashes dribbled from Sanji’s cigarette onto the floor. You shuffled your feet. It was completely silent, save for the sound of your heart thundering in your chest.
“Thanks,” You finally said.
With that, you slipped out the door, unable to stand the tension a moment longer. Something squirmed in your chest, and an anxious tang in the back of your throat made you want to throw yourself overboard. It was one compliment, it didn’t mean anything, you told yourself.
You weren’t sure what scared you more. The idea that it meant nothing, or the idea that Sanji might like you the same way you liked him. Either way, you couldn’t stop trembling. You hoped that whatever this was would work itself out on its own without your intervention.
Spoiler alert: it didn’t.
In fact, it got worse.
Sanji hovered around you more often, going from occasionally asking if you needed anything from him, to asking every twenty minutes. While he didn’t stop doting on Nami and Robin, he found himself too preoccupied with watching you to remember to refill their drinks on time.
Worst of all, Sanji wouldn’t stop complimenting you. They were far clumsier than the usually smooth flirtations that rolled off his tongue, but they were more than enough to get under your skin and into your heart. You didn’t miss that unmistakable glitter of pride in his blue eyes whenever you blushed under his flattery.
What you wouldn’t give for everything to go back to normal. When you realized you harbored a little crush on Sanji, you never expected it to be reciprocated. Now that it was, you weren’t sure what to do. You had never been in a relationship before, and with your luck, you’d end up screwing everything up.
You flushed when you felt his eyes on you, trailing from the top of your head to your feet. Gentle footfalls approached you, and you braced for an inevitably awkward interaction that you would replay in your head for hours after it was done.
“Hello, my sweet—” Over the past few days, Sanji had gotten more confident with the pet names, much to your chagrin — “Care for a refill.”
“If you can make it alcoholic,” You replied, staring pointedly at the ocean. If you looked at his ridiculously handsome face right now, you’d crumble to dust.
“Anything for someone as lovely as you.” You could practically hear his dumb smile on his dumb lips that you wanted to kiss stupid. Frowning, you fidgeted with your fingers.
You heard Sanji tip the pitcher as ice clinked together, filling your glass. The smell of sea salt filled your nostrils. There were words bubbling in your chest and up your throat, threatening to spew forth and coat the deck with bile. You bit your lip to keep that from happening.
“For you.” Sanji handed you the glass, and his fingers brushed against your own. They were warm, the skin was soft and well maintained. As always, you wondered what they’d feel like cupping your face, Sanji’s lips against your own.
You couldn’t keep it in any longer.
“Do you have a crush on me or something?”
Sanji’s mouth fell open. Before he could speak, you bulldozed right over him. “It’s okay if you do, I don’t really care, I’m just curious. I mean, maybe I would care because I’ve had a bit of a crush on you since forever. But that’s stupid. I’m stupid. I need to stop talking right now. Why can’t I stop talking?”
“You’re not stupid,” Was the first thing that Sanji said, surprisingly stern for how red he was. Followed by an almost incredulous, “You like me?”
“That’s what I should be saying” You cried. “You’re not supposed to like me back. I have no idea what I’m doing.”
He stared at you for a moment before reaching to remove his cigarette from his mouth and dangle it between two fingers. “You’re in love with me?”
“Well, that’s a really serious way to put it, but yeah. Sure. Whatever. I’m in love with you. There! I said it.” You let out a manic cackle. Your face felt so hot, like you were about to burst into flames any second. “I’ve never been in a relationship. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know what I’m doing.”
Sanji grabbed you by the shoulders, his expression serious. “I don’t know what I’m doing either. We can figure it out together. If you’ll have me, of course.”
Your arms wrapped around his neck and pulled him into a tight hug. “Okay. Together then.”
“Together, my sweet.” He said, so suave as if steam wasn’t coming off of him from how hard he was blushing.
Not that you were much better.
Trafalgar Law
You hadn’t meant to overhear. Really, you didn’t. You were passing by the engine room, arms full of supplies you were supposed to deliver to the team, when you overheard your name. Maybe it was nosy of you to start eavesdropping, but anyone would if they were in your position. Once you heard Shachi and Penguin say your name, you stuck around to see what gossip had been floating around on the Polar Tang about you. It was a fact of life, one you refused to be held accountable for.
What you didn’t expect was to find out the captain had a crush. That in of itself sounded wholly ridiculous, and at first, nearly tore your heart in half. You had been harboring feelings for Law for a long time now, none of which you were confident enough to act on. Part of the reason you never confessed was because you had hoped he was too damned awkward to have a crush on anyone else in the first place. The other part was because you were inexperienced. Love was not something that came easy to you. It was messy, rough, and altogether stressful, none of which you wanted to deal with.
What really got you though, was the fact that out of everyone in the entire world, the infamous captain of the Heart Pirates had feelings for you.
You really, really hadn’t meant to overhear.
With your heart beating out of your chest, you shuffled past the engine room and delivered your supplies, wishing you were anywhere but here. This was bad. Law had been avoiding you for weeks, and now, you knew why. At first, you worried you had gotten on his nerves enough that he was finally sick of you. You enjoyed talking to him, even discounting your little crush. Whenever Law had a free moment, you found yourself by his side, chattering away over whatever had caught your fancy. He was a good listener, chiming in with a smirk every so often to show that he was paying attention. Recently, however, Law had started to dip into adjourning halls when he saw you coming, or take his meals in his office rather than sit with you in the mess.
It would almost be easier if he hated you. Then you wouldn’t be sweating profusely in your boiler suit, scared that Law would show up around every turn. How could you look him in the eye knowing that your feelings for him were reciprocated? All you knew is you were thankful he was avoiding you. It made staying as far away from him as possible much, much easier.
You were confident you were doing a good job getting your tasks done without running into the captain until you, quite literally, ran into him. The top of your head knocked directly into his chin, sending you sprawling on the floor and making Law frown. A frown that deepened when he saw you.
Still, he helped you to your feet.
“Watch where you’re going, Y/N-ya.”
“Right, sorry. Bye,” You said, skirting past him.
Law didn’t let you get far before his hand shot out to grab your wrist. His brows were furrowed, and you tried not to think about the glimmer of disappointment in his eyes. “That’s it?”
“What?”
“You’re usually always talking,” He said.
You removed your arm from Law’s grasp. He let go easily, thank goodness, you were fully prepared to wrestle him to get out of this conversation if you needed to. “I just don’t feel very chatty right now. Bye.”
With that, you turned on your heel and marched down the hall. It was quiet for a moment, only the sound of your footsteps resounding against the walls of the Polar Tang. It wasn't until a second, much heavier pair joined you did you start to pick up the pace. To which Law responded to by matching your speed, easily gaining on you. His strides were longer than yours. Two of your steps equaled one of his. At this rate, it would only be a matter of time before he caught you, and then where would you be?
So you started running.
Law faltered for a second before he joined, boots like thunder against the floor. Instinctively, you ducked around the first corner, hoping to lose him, before your stomach flipped and you, once again, ran directly into your captain.
That asshole. He shambles’ed you.
“Why were you running from me?” If he was hurt, he hid it well through an entirely unamused mask. You swallowed hard, shuffling your feet slightly under his gaze.
“I had the runs.”
Law gave you an unimpressed look. “No you didn’t. Now tell the truth. Why did you run from me?”
“Uh.”
You were really in it now. If the universe had any amount of love for you, there would be an emergency happening in about five seconds from now that would demand Law’s attention. But, of course, nothing happened. You were trapped.
“Uh,” Law repeated, his usual smirk worming its way onto his face. It wasn’t until then that you realized just how close to him you were, nose mere inches away from his chest. Your cheeks blazed.
Taking a couple steps back, you fidgeted with your fingers. “It’s none of your business.”
“It is my business when one of my crewmates runs from me,” Law countered.
He had you there. You weren’t sure how to get out of this, or even if you could get out of this. This was it. D-Day. Your tongue felt too big for your mouth, the pink muscle flailing uselessly. It was hard to breathe as your heart pounded furiously enough to make you feel lightheaded. Finally, after a full minute of silence, you couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“Ireallydidn’tmeantobutIoverheardShachiandPenguinsayyouhadacrushonme.”
As he processed your words, all of Law’s confidence leaked away, the tips of his ears turning bright pink, confirming what you already knew. His pupils darted to your face in search of something.
“What did you think?” Law licked his dry lips and tried again. “What did you think when you heard that?”
“I don’t know because I’ve had the biggest crush on you since we met!” There. You said it. That wasn’t so bad. “I didn’t know what to do, so I was avoiding you.”
Tugging on the brim of his hat to cover his face, Law asked, “So what do you want to do now?”
“Didn’t you hear me? I don’t know! I’ve never been in a relationship before, how am I supposed to know these things?”
“I haven’t either,” He confessed.
You let your forehead knock against his chest. A chuckle rumbled against you as Law brought his hand up to cup the back of your head. His touch was delicate, barely there at all. You couldn’t help but lean into him. “That doesn’t help at all.”
“Get some dinner,” He said. “We can eat in my office together and talk about it more then. No more running.”
“Says the guy who avoided me for three weeks.”
Law only let out a huff while you laughed.

Sleeping w the monster trio
Luffy- you know what sleeping with a kid is like? Yeah. He rolls, he kicks, he somehow ends up diagonal across the bed. At some point, he’ll decide he wants to cuddle and wrap his arms around you like three times. Has a silly sounding snore and drools sometimes, but it’s cute.
Sanji- he has to be touching you in some way. He loves being big spoon but being little spoon comforts him in a way he’s never experienced before. If either of you decide it’s too hot to cuddle, he’ll still try and hold your hand or reach his leg out to you. Hell, if y’all are faced completely away from each other he scoots his butt up against yours so they’re touching.
Zoro- the man sleeps like a brick; we know this. He snores so loud. You get used to it pretty easily, but damn. It's really only bad when he’s got you locked in his arms and starts snoring right in your ear. He gets hot so easily when he sleeps that he starts sweating and its gross

Cup of Coffee, and a Tall Glass of You
Parings: Sanji x Female Reader Summary: Zeff hired a barista for the restaurant, FINALLY, but Sanji wasn't expecting a girl, let alone one as beautiful as you. He can handle his coffee, but can he handle a dollop of falling in love? Warnings: None! like 2 instances of Y/N Genre: Fluff, Modern AU, Barista AU Words: 3.7k
a/n: this one's been asked for, and at my barista job, i had nothing better to do BUT write this. I think this is the only story i started writing, then rewrote all of it lol. enjoy it! <3
“I wonder if we have potatoes…” Sanji mumbled to himself in the empty kitchen as he whisked the eggs He had just cracked into the bowl. It was about 5:45 am now, but Sanji always came to work early to prepare breakfast. Most of the other chefs start rolling in about 6:20, and as much as Sanji loved the sound of a bustling kitchen, he'd be lying if he didn't say he enjoyed the quiet, empty moments too. Even though he had to follow the menu Zeff always posted the night before, cooking in the kitchen alone gave him a bit of freedom. He was pulled out of his thoughts about what dish to make with potatoes when he heard the door open and Zeff entering the kitchen.
“Morning, old man,” Sanji said, adding the seasonings to the eggs.
“You’re always here so early, Sanji,” Zeff replied with a thunderous chuckle.
“Breakfast isn't going to serve itself,” Sanji stated, incorporating the scrambled egg mix again.
“We have chefs that can do that too,” Zeff said, hobbling over on his fake leg to look over the blonde's shoulder.
“I know,” Sanji said, rolling his eyes. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Zeff nod at his work and lean on the counter.
“Trust in the kitchen Sanji, they do hard work,” He said. Sanji chuckled.
“I would if they knew what they were doing most of the time,” the comment made Zeff laugh and pat Sanji’s back.
“I'll give you credit for that I guess.”
“Why are you here so early? Are we getting a shipment in or something?” Sanji asked, setting down the bowl of eggs and fishing his phone out of his pocket for the time. Zeff hummed and walked over to a shelf to grab another mixing bowl.
“I’m here early cause we have a new hire. Finally got us a barista to handle the morning crowd from that hotel ‘cross the way,” he said, as Sanji’s ears perked up with interest.
“You hired someone?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah, and without your opinion either,” Zeff chuckled.
“Well, is he any good?” Sanji asked, getting out a pan to preheat it on the stove. Zeff sighed as he set down a bag of flour.
“She has experience, so she knows what she's doing,” Zeff said, which caused Sanji to stop what he was doing and look up at the older man. “I've already trained her on the basics, she's got a cheat sheet if she forgets.”
“Back up, she?” Sanji asked, now fully turning towards him. “Is she here??”
“She is, she walked in after I did.” Before Sanji could even start walking towards the kitchen door Zeff grabbed his arm to stop him.
“Don't go flirting with my barista,” He said in a low and stern tone.
“I'm not gonna flirt with her, what makes you think that?” Sanji laughed nervously.
“Cause the second I said she, ya got heart eyes. Eggplant, I know you're a ladies man. If you weren’t complaining about being a waiter for the first couple weeks of us opening, you were laying charm on the women sittin at tables.” Sanji frowned a bit at the call out, but Zeff wasn't lying. He knew he was a little girl crazy, and was the cause of a lot of fights. Zeff let go of his arm and sighed.
“You can introduce yourself to her, just don't make her uncomfortable.” Sanji grinned as Zeff turned him back to the pan on the stove.
“Scramble these eggs first, since you're already here. You can check out the station after, and I need your help making the pastries to sell out there.” Sanji sighed but turned on the stove anyway.
“Fair point, finishing cooking what I started. I'll greet her on my smoke break.” Zeff hummed in approval as the two began cooking breakfast and making the pastries. Slowly but surely more chefs started rolling in for their shifts and before Sanji knew it they were open for the day and the kitchen was bustling and busy, the quiet morning evaporating like the steam off the fresh pastries Zeff pulled out of the oven.
Around 10:30 am Sanji wiped his hands on the towel draped across his shoulder and walked through the kitchen over to Zeff, fishing the cigarette box out of his pocket.
“I'll be back in like, 15,” Sanji said, waving the box to him and Zeff nodded.
“We'll take it from here,” he said as Sanji left the kitchen. He briskly walked by tables of people dining, stopping occasionally to ask customers how their meal was. Walking out of the second room of tables, Sanji reached the front of the restaurant, starting to pick up with the brunch crowd, the host trying to seat people, waiters bustling around the tables to meet people's needs. And there, in the corner of the front of the restaurant, next to the bar, was the new barista. He watched your set down a couple to-go cups, lidded them, and sent a customer on their way with a smile, doing the same for someone who ordered a pastry, judging by the to-go box you handed them. Though he was known to be a little girl-crazy, and seen his fair share of beautiful women, he admitted he was a bit taken aback. You were definitely up there with some he found beautiful. He made his way over to you as customers exited the restaurant or went to be seated, greeting them as he passed them. Sanji finally made his way up to you, placing his hands on either side of the register and looking up at the menu, studying the options. He looked around your little corner as you served people, you were pretty set up for handling customers. A dishwasher, two sets of fridges, one with windows in to see the bottled stuff, a countertop oven, a place to brew more coffee, the big espresso machine he knew Zeff poured a lot of money into, syrups, cups, lids, ice maker. All you needed was a stove and you'd have a whole kitchen.
“Have a good one guys! Oh! Hey you work here right?” You asked him, pulling Sanji back to reality and you leaned on the counter in front of him. He blushed a little being up close to you, quickly trying to study every detail of your face before he answered.
“I do, yeah!” He started sticking his hand out for you to shake. You took his hand and gave it a gentle handshake, Sanji could almost feel the sparks from fingertips brushing and hands meeting. He took your hand and gingerly kissed the back of it. “I'm Sanji,” He winked, watching your cheeks grow a light pink dust of blush.
“Oh, you're Sanji,” you chuckled, “that makes sense now.”
“You know?” Sanji asked, it tugged at his heart to hear you say his name.
“Zeff told me all about you. I'm Y/N,” you said as he let your hand go, feeling the electric tingle sizzle away as you left his touch. He cursed Zeff in his head for filling your brain with info about him, for probably exaggerating how he acts towards women and silently thanking Zeff for putting the idea of him in your thoughts.
“Y/N, well it's nice to meet you! Zeff told him he hired someone, didn't know it'd be a beautiful rose like you,” Sanji said, really laying on his quintessential charm.
“Yeah! He trained me all weekend so I feel pretty familiar with everything.” All weekend? No wonder he was out of the loop, he took the weekend off to spend time with Luffy and the gang.
“How are the pastries doing?” Sanji asked, the chef side of him curious about the work he put into helping make the pastries today. The both of you looked at the case, the fresh pastries sitting on plates ready for the perusing eyes of people.
“Good! Had a lot of to-go's for them, they must look as good as they taste,” you said.
“Well Zeff and I did bake them this morning, so I'd hope they'd be enjoyed.” He said, watching you blush a little and look at him.
“You made them this morning?? Oh wow! Usually the places I've worked at make them the night before!” Watching your amazement at the idea of them baking the pastries fresh made his heart squeeze in his chest. He was smitten, you were adorable to him.
“Well, glad you're settling in just fine! It can be hectic but if Zeff trusts you, then so do I,” he smiled, finally pulling a cigarette out of the box, about to make his leave.
“Oh! Sanji! Did you need anything from me?” You asked, leaning onto the counter and looking up at him, tilting your head a little at your own question. Sanji looked at you, blinking a bit as he felt his cheeks get hot. Not only did you call him by name, but asked him if he needed anything from you. Of course he could think of a million flirtatious answers, he felt like he might be thrown back in happiness and a nosebleed, or that he could drop dead right now and be the happiest he's been. Sanji, cleared his throat, cheeks burning with blush as he just smiled.
“Maybe I'll grab a coffee later! Just wanted to say hi and all that,” he said, feeling like words were just falling out of his mouth.
“Nice to meet you!” You said giving him a wave as he walked outside.
“Pleasure's all mine!” Sanji waved back, once he got out of view, he lit his cigarette and leaned against the wall. He ran a hand through his hair, still feeling the heat of blush on his face. He exhaled a stream of smoke, but to him it looked like hearts, and it might as well have been.
“God, she's so cute,” he mumbled, a bit lovesick already.
~4 months later~
Sanji always looked forward to work. He loved cooking, he loved that he could cook for others and see that happy smile on their faces as they ate. He loved the creative freedom Zeff would let him have once in a while for a dish and be lucky if it made the daily special. He loved getting to work early to start prepping for the day, and he loved you. Of course he hadn't told you yet, but he loved getting to work at the same time as you, he loved when you asked for his help, he loved getting the coffee on break and opening it to see the heart in the latte art. He adored when you asked if he needed anything else from you, he'd hold his tongue and say something polite, but in his dreams he'd pull out the lines he wished he could say.
On a slower day, You and Sanji were talking as the few tables used were cleaned off. Both of you leaned over the counter as you watched Sanji carefully ice one of the delicate pastries.
“I don't think I've ever seen it so slow in here,” you remarked as Sanji pulled the piping bag away.
“It's an early weekday, it happens every now and again,” He said, leaning back over the pastry.
“You wanna coffee?” You asked, “I feel like I should at least look busy.”
“That sounds amazing actually, usual vanilla latte for me,” He said, looking up at you with a smile as you nodded and went off to make it. He pulled the piping bag away one last time and admired his work, finally setting it down and watching you work. It has been about 4 months since you started here, and Sanji has never skipped a beat in saying hello to you every morning and taking in every word you had to say on his break. Since your shift ends around noon, he felt it best to soak up every ounce of you before you'd run off for the rest of the day. Even then, he still thought about you, he was a flirt and a ladies man, sure, but when it came to you, he didn't know how to act, what to say, how to express himself. It made him a mess, a love sick mess. Sanji was brought back to reality with the mug being placed in front of him with that heart shaped latte art. He smiled.
“You always give me a heart,” he said, taking a sip.
“It's one of the few I've got down to a habit,” you chuckled, looking at the pastry. “Wow, you did a great job! If no one eats it, I might!” He felt a tug as you pulled at his heart strings. He wasn't worthy of you eating his food, and he certainly wasn't worthy of the praise.
“You'll have to tell me how it is,” he said, watching you put it in the case.
“Well, you should cook for me sometime, since I keep hearing how good of a cook you are,” you said, resting your hand on your cheek.
“I'd love to, dear, say the word and I'll do it,” He flirted, happy to see you laugh at it. He has slowly been trying to be more bold with you, and it seemed you were used to it at this point.
“Coffee's good?” You asked as he finished the rest of the small mugs worth.
“Perfect as always, I'll make you food, if you keep making me coffee,” he said, leaning on both his arms resting on the counter.
“Sounds like a deal,” you chuckled, pink dusting your cheeks as he looked at you.
“Need anything else from me, Sanji?” God, it killed him every time. The sweet look you gave him, saying his name sounded like honey dripping into tea, his heart squeezed and did flips when you asked. It felt like you were teasing him every time you asked, just pushing his buttons to get him to confess. He needed you, and all to himself.
“Well, maybe your number?” Sanji flirted, unable to help himself anymore, he was wrapped around your finger whether you knew or not. Your cheeks get rosy as you blinked.
“My number?” You asked, a little stunned but raise your eyebrow with a small smile in reply. “4 months of us knowing each other, Sanji, and you just got the courage to ask?”
“Well it felt weird asking you out right, and Zeff warned me against flirting with you, buuut you keep teasing me and now I have to ask,” Sanji admitted, leaning closer to you. You rolled your eyes with a smile.
“I'm a tease?” You chuckled and Sanji nodded. “You know, when they said you were a huge flirt and a playboy, I definitely saw it, but man, you can be a mess.”
“Only around you, I don't know why, I'm just smitten by you,” He said with a softened tone and look in his eyes that made you blush. You managed to fumble pulling the pen out of your apron pocket and rolled out some receipt paper and began writing. He had never seen you so flustered unless you messed up an order, one in a blue moon, it was adorable, it made him swoon inside.
“Plus, you're like one of the main things I look forward to coming to work,” he explained, causing you to look up from your writing.
“What's the other main thing?”
“Cooking,” He said plainly.
“Cooking?” You asked, certainly not believing him. “You like cooking that much?”
“Of course! Look, everyone that comes here enjoys their food. Right?”
“Yeah, customers always tell me, always a rave review.”
“I love cooking and seeing the happy smiles on their faces eating my food. To make good food, to not ever let any go to waste, and that no one walks away hungry.” Sanji explained as you looked at him paying attention to every gesture and word he said. You chuckled a little.
“I don't think I've seen or heard anyone be as passionate about cooking as you. You must be amazing at it.” You said, finishing your writing.
“I'll have to cook for you sometime,” Sanji smiled, taking out a cigarette and sticking it between his lips unlit.
“That's what you can use my number for,” You teased, snapping your fingers like the idea just came to you. Sanji happily played along.
“Oh yeah! Just call you to come over and try my cooking! Didn't even cross my mind.” He said.
You pushed the piece of paper over to him and he took it, folded it and put it in his pocket.
“Gotta keep it safe,” he said with a wink. Suddenly the moment was interrupted by Zeff calling for Sanji.
“Sanji! What'd I say about making googly eyes at my barista??” Zeff interrupted thunderously, chucking a ladle at him. Quick reflexes cause Sanji to kick-box it out of the way back towards Zeff.
“I'm not making her uncomfortable, old man! Watch where you throw!’ Sanji shouted back.
“All that kicking doesn't do anything for this kitchen except break up fights!” You then chimed in and said;
“It's fine Zeff, he's not bothering me.” Zeff softened at your comment and nodded, picking up the ladle and pointing it at both of you.
“If he makes you uncomfortable, I'll take care of him,” he said, hobbling back to the kitchen.
“Mmm, you're in trouble now” you teased the blonde cook, who chuckled in reply.
“Well, duty calls, thanks for the coffee!”
“Let me know if you need anything from me!” You waved and Sanji almost swooned at the idea, of course he could always need something from you, just for the excuse of taking your time.
~2 months later~
Sanji awoke to the sound of his phone alerting him that he had a message. Fighting every part of him telling him don’t look, just lay here and try to fall back asleep, he rolled over and picked up his phone anyway. The time of 9:00 am looked back at him. Normally he’d be up at the crack of dawn to get to work for Zeff’s restaurant, but he slept in enough today. It was a message from Zeff with the photo of the menu for next week’s specials attached.
“I'm not even gonna worry about that right now,” he said, putting his phone down and sitting up in bed. “It’s my day off, I'm going to enjoy it.” With that sentiment in mind, he got out of bed and got ready for the day. He pulled on a black t-shirt and gray sweatpants, nothing compared to his usual look of dress pants and a crisp button down shirt. As he got dressed the smell of coffee wafted through the air, and he put his phone in his pocket, following the enticing smell into the kitchen. The sight of the kitchen made him smile, sunlight was already creeping through the apartment windows as you stood in the kitchen, pouring espresso into a couple mugs and steaming milk on his espresso machine. He admired your concentration that he'd normally see when you're working. Instead of the regular uniform, you were wearing one of his dress shirts with the sleeves rolled up, it was just big enough to pass as a short dress on you. Being as quiet as he could, he came up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist. Feeling you standing up straight, he nestled his head into your neck.
“Hey, I didn't know you were awake,” you said, tilting the mug as you made a design out of the milk.
“I didn't hear you get up,” Sanji said, intently watching. He knew how to make latte art, but he liked watching you do it.
“Well, lover boy, it seemed like you needed sleep, so I didn't want to wake you.” You explained as you moved to the second mug.
“You didn't have to make coffee, the restaurant's closed today, we're off,” he teased as you chuckled.
“I'm aware, I just thought you wanted coffee. It's not hard to do, it only took me like, 10 minutes to figure out your machine.” Sanji hummed, planting a kiss on your neck.
“You're all the morning coffee I need, love,” he purred, and you laughed.
“You love sick dork,” you said, turning to face him in his arms, handing Sanji the mug as he broke the hug. “I didn't know you had the same coffee as work.”
“Of course, who do you think told Zeff to get it in the first place?” He asked as you rolled your eyes.
“Should've known. Are you gonna cook for me today?” You asked, looking up at him as you sipped.
“Princess, I'd cook for you, even if you didn’t ask,” Sanji winked, making you smile.
“I can cook too, ya know,” you said and Sanji chuckled.
“You'll have to show me sometime.”
“You have my number,” you teased as he set the mug on the counter and pulled you back in his arms.
“God I love you,” He sighed happily. You set your mug down and put his arms around your arms around his neck.
“I'd hope so! You've texted me everyday for the past couple months, call me over. I'm not sure how a big handsome flirt like you managed to do it.” You chuckled.
“You're no better! Everyday I looked at your sweet face and asked me if I needed anything from you and I could've died on the spot, or said a flirty line! But I braved it.” He laughed.
“I wasn't trying to tease, I was asking! You always came over to talk to me!” You laughed. Sanji just smiled, taking one of his hands and putting a finger under your chin.
“I'm just unworthy of you Princess,” he purred, leaning down and kissing you gently. You happily kissed back, letting your fingers play with the back of his hair. You tasted like coffee, he tasted like cigarettes. He hoisted you up and sat you on the counter, his arms around your waist, your legs around his hips. And as he kissed you, Sanji swore he could die happy, flirting with the cute barista was a million percent worth it.

Hold Me Closer (Sanji X GN!Reader)
Request from @charliepoopyfart 💕
(I got this request and I had like a Thats So Raven vision of what I have to write! Also ngl I'm kinda proud of this, I love Sanji and I feel like I did his justice)
Sanji doesn’t know what happened, just seeing his partner curled up shaking and crying sent him into the most comforting auto pilot.
Warnings: Panic attack & crying
The sun had set hours ago, the Sunny slowly rocking itself and rocking those who where tired to sleep. The kitchen of the sunny was quiet, too quiet. Like every other night, the man who practically lived in the kitchen stood in silence as he finally finished cleaning the dishes. Everyone was fed with his delicious food and now his kitchen was clean, but it was clean with just him. His usual help wasn't there. The one who would insist in staying and helping him clean up. Multiple times a day, no matter what he says he'd always get a "No no its fine, I don't mind staying back with you to help".
The simple act of kindness always made his heart flutter, ah he could never not love (Y/n). Speaking of, where are they? They sped ate through dinner and left without a word, as if they weren't even there at all in the first place. Well, no matter, no one else seemed too phased by it. But something was...itching at Sanji. Like a little voice at the back of his mind saying "find them" like some sort of 6th sense.
Sanji folded the damp hand towel over the counter, turning off all the lights on his way out. The Sunny was dead quiet, a rare occurrence on the Sunny especially with such a loud crew. As Sanji made his way back this his room, his body stopped on its own. In front of (Y/n)s room. He didn't know how, but Sanji could sense a terrible feeling, aura even coming from that room. But he didn't let that get the better of him, he is a grown ass man and one of the strongest in the whole crew after all. He takes a step closer, reaching his hand up and knocking on the door. "Sweetheart, you okay?". The mood in the air had changed, he had cut through it with a knife.
The slight sound of a sniffle had made all the hairs on his body stand up, causing him to move without thinking and open the door. His blood runs cold, his soul leaving his body. There sits (Y/n), curled up in a sitting fetal position, eyes red, face wet and puffy, body shaking, hands clutching at their scalp ready to rip out with ease at any second. "(Y/n)!". Sanji bolts over, eyeing them with their own panic. Shit! They're clearly having a panic attack, looking as if they're going to pass out at any second from all they hyperventilating. "I'll go get Chopper". Before he can move, the edge of his sleeve is grabbed. He looks up at (Y/n), looking into their now dilated eyes.
"Please just...stay with me". They beg. All he can do is comply, nodding at them with a soft smile on his face. "Anything for you". He tells them. (Y/n)s hand slides to grab at his hand, Sanji giving a reassuring squeeze and rubbing his thumb over their knuckles. Their breathing has already slowly started to slow down, hand still shaking as they desperately cling to his. "Is there anything I can get you?". He asks. They just shake their head. "Right now...just you". They answer. Sanjis soft smile widens, nodding again.
Sanji doesn't know how long he sat there, holding their hand until (Y/n) finally clamed down. He could wait hours, hours sitting on his knees till his legs hurt just to be there and stay with them. He'd do that and so much more, just by simply asking. "Sanji". His ears perk up and the tiny call of his name, barely above a whisper. "Yes, love?". He responds. "I think...I'm okay now". (Y/n) tells him, bringing a bright smile to his face. "Okay enough for me to spoil you?". He asks. (Y/n) lets out a soft laugh, squeezing his hand slightly. "Yes". They answer with a laugh.
With that simple agreement, Sanji swiftly grabs a blanket and wraps it around their body. And with ease, he picks them up and carries them out the room. "I didn't know spoiling me meant babying me". (Y/n) jokes. Sanji chuckles. "Anything for you, baby". He flirts, getting another laugh from the lump in his arms. Oh how it was music to his ears, no matter how cliche that is to say it's how he honestly feels. Sanji uses his foot to push open the door to the kitchen, sitting (Y/n) down at the table and walking to the kitchen. "How does a nice warm [fav hot drink] sound? Or would you prefer a sweet [fav sweet] instead?". He asks, already getting ready to make whatever. "Just the drink thanks, I need to hydrate after crying so much". (Y/n) responds with a slight laugh, trying to pop a joke to help the mood. "Of course, anything for you". He answers.
The two sat in a comfortable silence as Sanji made the drink, the sound of the fridge opening and closing along with other clinks and clacks. Soon enough the sound gets replaced with shoes walking over. Sanji places down the drink in front of (Y/n), who turns to look up at him. "Thank you, Sanji. Really, I mean it a lot". They thank him. "Don't worry about it, if you need anything and if this happens again you always have me. I'll always be here for you, love". He tells them in a soft tone. (Y/n) lets out a little laugh, reaching out and grabbing the drink to finally take a sip of the drink. "Its delicious! Thank you again, Sanji". They thank again. He smiles softly down at them. "Anytime".

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭
this is a repost from my old blog! and also the first fic i wrote for tumblr lol.
pairing -> vinsmoke sanji x reader
notes -> feminine terms (mellorine, mademoiselle); kind of based off of a scene from that vr one piece game; y/n is a new straw hat member i guess + her noble family kinda sucks; kind of rushy bc i didn’t feel like writing a backstory lol; honourifics are used; maybe a little suggestive…? just in case
wc -> 1.2k
“What a cute kitchen!”
Your eyes can barely contain their sparkle as you take in the final room of the tour. Smiling, you’d realize it’s already occupied by the light chopping sounds coming from the left of the entrance. You approach him from behind, tapping him on the shoulder. “There you are, Sanji-san,” you’d gently called, not wanting to startle him in the middle of his food prep.
“Ah, _______-chan!” Throwing a careful grin of his own over his shoulder to you, he sets down his knife at the edge of the cutting board to turn completely around to you. “I was wondering when you’d make your way in. You’re just in time – I’m making lunch!”
“I’m sorry it wasn’t sooner,” you apologize with a small laugh. “I think Nami was just a little… excited? Relieved? That she wasn’t “the only woman” on the Merry anymore, I mean. Her grand tour felt more like a tea date.”
“No apologies necessary; making you feel at home with us comes first. Do you?” he asks.
“I do,” you reply easily. “Our captain encouraging me to toss a chair at my window to escape was probably one of the first signs of that one for me.”
Sanji chuckles. “I’m glad. Well, what do you think?” He raises his arms from his sides, inviting you to take in his safe haven.
“It’s quite lovely, as I suppose kitchens normally are?” You glide your fingers across the island, enjoying how smooth the surface had felt on your skin. “This is my first time being inside one.”
“Your first time?” Sanji repeats, genuinely shocked.
Nodding, “I was never allowed inside ours,” you explain. “My parents were… very conservative and traditional in their ways. It may have stemmed from them being apologists of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons, but they always said that entering such places would be beneath our name.” You sigh deeply. “I always knew they were wrong.”
For a moment, Sanji is quiet, the slight tapping of your shoes and the bubbling of the boiling liquid in the pot overtop the stove the only sounds filling the room.
“I didn’t know you were also the chef until Nami mentioned it in her tour,” you add, your voice soft. “How wonderful.” You sniff the air, your lips quickly rising once more in appreciation of the scent filling the kitchen. “Wow… That smells incredible.”
Sanji’s lips part in awe at you, watching you move closer toward the stove. Not wanting to hang your head directly over the pot, you waft the vapour closer to you, inhaling deeply.
“What do you call this, Sanji-san?” You gesture into the pot. “I’m not sure I’ve ever had this before.”
“… it’s called Sugo all’amatriciana,” he says, making his way to join her side. “A sauce made of tomatoes.” From the drawer to the right of the stove, Sanji steals a spoon. “Panchetta. Pecorino romano.” Having given the sauce a stir with a ladle, he dips the spoon inside to scoop some up. “Onion and garlic.” A hand cradling beneath the spoon’s curve, “and a bit of basil.” He lowers it toward you, and your blink. “Try it.”
“Really? Could I?”
Sanji’s lower lip curls inwards, pinching the inside flesh between his teeth when you lean forward to blow lightly on the sauce. Lips parted, you barely release a breath, one just strong enough to begin cooling it, before taking it into your mouth and sucking back the contents in the spoon.
“Sanji-san… this is delicious!!” you gush after a moment spent savouring the flavour. “It’s the perfect amount of garlic, and the pecorino tastes so fresh–” You hum almost excitedly at the leftover flavour on your tongue. “You really are such an amazing chef.”
Sanji’s grip on the handle falters, the metal slipping from between his thumb and forefinger and clattering to the floor, his other hand coming up to clap over his own mouth. Immediately, you’re turning to the cook with worry.
“Sanji-san, what’s the matter?” you ask, reaching out to him. “Did I say something wrong? I’m sorry if I did, I-I–”
“I…” You frown, the skin of your forehead bunched together in concern. “I just didn’t expect you to be so cute.”
“C-Cute?!” you exclaim, your face instantly exploding with heat.
Sanji swears his entire body stalls at your expression; like a set of cogs that’s lost one of its gears, the chef goes still, but his heart continues to pound beneath his ribs. As you attempt to collect yourself, Sanji slowly extends his hands out toward you, and places them on your shoulders.
“San… ji-san?”
“______,” he practically whispers, head tipped down toward yours. You swallow, nerved by the intensity in his one visible eye. “You really are the cutest.”
“I-I… Sanji…”
This time, your warmth is contained to your cheeks. Sanji’s smile is sweet, crooked with the relief of not being pushed away by his new female crewmate or battered on the head by them. The gentleness in your eyes entrances him, and before he can control himself, the young cook leans forward toward the young deckhand, his eyes shut and lips searching for yours. A small breath escapes you before you’re able to reel it in—it would be your first kiss. Your first kiss with, practically, a stranger. And yet, you can’t bring yourself to pull away— it’s actually quite the opposite.
Hands having risen to balance your trembling body against him, they press into the lapels of his blazer, your fingers winding around them to give him a slight tug toward you. Eye swirling with adoration, Sanji is quick to fit his lips to yours, his own hands respectfully daring to come up to rest above your hips. With a small sigh, you press into him just a little more firmly, a little more curiously, steadily becoming more and more listless the longer your kiss goes on, and despite the loss of air in your lungs, you discover it to be difficult to pull away from Sanji, your hands releasing his suit and travelling to hold him to you by his nape.
The sharp hitch of your breath should have acted as a sign that you should pull away, that you should break to breathe, but you couldn’t bear to let him go. Feeling the tip of your tongue suddenly dart along his lower lip, tasting the faintest hint of tobacco that had lingered from his last cigarette, Sanji chuckles into your mouth. Cheeks flushed and chest heaving, he gently insists on bringing you back down to earth with a subtle tap against your side that has your eyes opening. Finally, you part from him, sucking in a breath so deep that it nearly has you choking on it.
“M-Mellorine, mellorine,” Sanji calls to you over your heavy panting, a hand rising from your hip to tilt your chin toward him, “you have to breathe at some point, no?”
“I-I… I… guess…”
Sanji blinks at you, his own face flaming once again. Did she sound… disappointed? His hands, warm and slightly calloused at the tops of his palms, slide around to hold your face in them.
“I adore your enthusiasm, mademoiselle, but if you pass out, I can’t kiss you how I want to.”

Prompt:
Hiii writers!! Thank you for this event!! If it’s not to much trouble may I ask for Zoro and Sanji hcs fighting for your attention only to find out you like Luffy? SFW - GN READER Repost of mine from libary of ohara
You were just as nice, kind, and friendly to them both and it infuriated Sanji, he needed to be the one to get all your attention.
You sighed inwardly when the two of them crowded you, tried to talk over one another.
Just being their usual irritating selves when it came to a rivalry over anything and everything.
They seemed extra fighty when it came to you, and you decided to end this bullshit once and for all.
“What’s with you guys?”
They stopped being up in one another’s faces, foreheads pressed against one another as they turned their attention to you.
“Huh?”
“If you guys wanna fight and murder one another, I’d rather you not do it around me.” You folded your arms, narrowing your eyes trying to show them you weren’t having a good time.
“You have to settle it then, me or him?” Zoro mumbled.
“What?” You stared at them when they parted, looking at you, expecting an answer to a question you didn’t really understand.
“I’m sorry, what?” you repeated.
“Ah darling, he’s saying ‘me or him’? which one of us do you have feelings for?” Sanji asked, batting his eyelashes at you.
“Um, neither? I’m crushing on Luffy?”
Sanji and Zoro stared at you, then one another before bursting into laughter, embarrassed they were even fighting.
“Luffy?” both said with confusion and amusement in their voices.
“Yeah?”
Sanji looked over to where Luffy was sitting, finger up his nose as he gazed up at the clouds.
“Hey mosshead, wanna get a drink?” Sanji said shaking his head with a sigh.
“Oh, yeah, better have the good stuff.”
At least they weren’t fighting anymore.

🥵🥵 phew!!! fantastic as always, Mo! shoutout to all the other people who also requested the same thing 😂 great minds think alike 😉
Let it be known that if I ever found myself in a one bed scenario with Sanji I would fold IMMEDIATELY without any outside influences but the added element just brings so much fun to this. 😅
let it be known that I ever found myself with sanji in ANY situation….I would fold immediately tbh
Omg congratulations on 700! 🎉 It is so so we’ll deserved. I must admit that I reread your work a lot because it is just so good and some of my favorites! 🥰
For the prompt, as always I am a SUCKER for the one bed trope, but I’d like to add another fun element so….
Blue + Lion + Hummingbird perhaps? 😈
Okay this one was a request by many, including my cutie pal @thirstydiglett and @truebluesanji and HOT DOG is it a good one!
Just One Bottle (+18)
Pairing: Sanji x Strawhat Fem!Reader
Prompt: Only One Bed x Aphrodisiac
WC: 2000 lol
Warnings: Open for interpretation on how the pals ended up ingesting the aphrodisiac, forced closeness, unprotected sex, p in v sex, morning after pill discussion, drug use, creampie, Sanji being a gentleman!
— —
You strolled the aisles of the bookstore as you waited for Sanji to finish up his snail call outside. You ran your fingers across the labels gently as you passed by each shelf. You glanced towards the shop windows and saw that Sanji was outside giving some choice words to whoever was on the end of his transponder snail. The sun was setting and you found yourself captivated by the way the low light reflected off his blonde hair. He looked handsome.
But he wasn’t your type. He was always fawning over you, even more obnoxiously so than for Nami and Robin. You never gave him half a thought in terms of a choice as a romantic partner, he was just a crew mate that you cared for deeply… as a friend. You turned down another aisle of bookshelves as you could clearly tell that Sanji wasn’t finishing his conversation any time soon.
You found yourself stopped at the romance section and pulled a bright purple tome off the shelf. “Part Time Human, Full Time Lover…” You read the title to yourself before flipping it open. You find yourself reading a rather graphic passage describing an intimate encounter between the human protagonist and her well-endowed centaur lover. “Goodness…” You whisper to yourself as you find yourself flipping the page in interest.
“Y/n!” You snap the book closed instinctively as you hear your name called. Sanji was rounding the corner of the aisle and came up to you.
“Sanji! Hi!” You hurriedly put the book back on the shelf. “Any news?”
“Well, the sun is going down fast and the moss head idiot got his group lost so we have to stay on the island for the night. We’re all too far apart to get back to the Sunny. We can find an inn around here and get some rooms.” Sanji explains to you.
“Fine, hopefully somewhere with a restaurant. I’m starving.” You smile. “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a night off from cooking?” You raise an eyebrow at the tall blonde.
“I guess. Don’t expect the same quality of food that you’d get back on the ship. Shall we?” Sanji remarks as he gestures to the door of the bookstore, letting you go first.
— —
After wandering the small village for awhile, the two of you find a small inn that had a tavern on the first floor. You ducked in, trying not to draw attention seeing as the two of you were highly wanted pirates.
Sanji strode confidently to the front desk.
“We require two rooms for the night. Money is no issue.” Sanji stoically demands of the innkeeper.
“Sir I’m sorry… but we only have one room left tonight… I’d be happy to give you a discounted rate…” The mousey old man behind the counter said as his voice trembled.
“This kind of dump has no vacancy? You’re telling me that this hole in the wall has only one room available-“
“We’ll take it.” You pushed past Sanji’s shoulder and placed your stack of Beri on the counter.
The innkeeper’s eyes danced from your smile to Sanji’s scowl.
“We’ll take it.” Sanji echoed, lowering his voice.
“E-e-excellent news! I will issue you your keys now. Would the couple like one set or two?” The old man sputters out.
“Two.” “One.”
You say two and Sanji replies with one. He clears his throat.
“Two, please sir.” Sanji changes his response.
The old man issues you two sets of keys and hands you your change after you pay for the room.
“Please, enjoy our restaurant. You may find that sharing a room is not uncommon among couples at this hotel.” The innkeeper mentions.
You look up at Sanji.
“I am kind of hungry, Sanji. Shall we?” You question.
“Can’t go to bed with any empty stomach, can we?” Sanji shrugs.
Sanji put his hand on the small of your back and led you in the direction of the small restaurant.
“Two of you?” The stout hostess asked and you nodded. She led you and Sanji to a candlelit table in the back of the pub. Of course, Sanji pulled your chair out for you. Once seated across from one another, you picked up the drink menu.
“The room was so cheap… should we get the champagne?” You smirk over the menu across the table at Sanji.
“Nami would kill us… what’s the label?” Sanji gestures to grab the drink menu from you and you hand it to him. His brows furrow. “I actually haven’t heard of this brand before… but it’s expensive… must be from the South Blue…” Sanji quirks a curled eyebrow up at you. “Should we?”
The sides of your mouth curl up.
“Yes.”
Sanji breaks into a grin as the waitress arrived at your table.
“Anything I can get you two tonight?” The cute redheaded waitress asked you both.
“We’ll start with a bottle of the champagne.” Sanji says to the waitress. “And for food… anything your recommend for a night on the town?” He says with a smirk.
“Oh, I think our chef can do something for you.” The waitress says with a smile.
“Perfect.” Sanji says as he snaps his menu closed and hands it to the waitress.
— —
The two of you had finished your bottle of champagne and dinner and were waiting around for the waitress to bring you your bill.
“No no, it really was lovely. I just have never had a champagne like this…” Sanji says as the two of you discuss dinner.
“The oysters were a nice touch, I thought.” You remark.
“Mr BlackLeg sir thank you…” The waitress interrupts as he places a large stack of Beri on the tray containing your bill.
“That was a nice tip you left…” You say as Sanji ushers you softly out of your seat, covering your back with his suit jacket. “Far more than most would.” You didn’t feel drunk, but you felt some strange warmth growing in your lower half. It started building when you drank that damned champagne.
“It’s nothing for someone who used to work in hospitality. Their service is worth far more than the champagne.” Sanji says as he guides you to the stairs, leading you up to your room on the third floor.
You reach your room and Sanji fumbles with the keys before getting the lock open. The door opens to reveal a small room with a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom.
“I-I can sleep on the floor.” Sanji says immediately. You turned and saw that his cheeks were bright pink. Was it from the alcohol?
“It’s fine, we’re adults. Let’s just get to bed.” You respond and begin stripping off your pants. You then unstrap your bra and take it off through the front of your shirt. Sanji hesitates for a second before stripping down to just his boxers.
“I’ll take this side.” You said awkwardly as you slide into the bed.
“Right. Goodnight then.” Sanji shuts off the lights and hops into bed on the side opposite you.
“Yep. Night.” You curl up into your side, so that you wouldn’t encroach on your crew mates sleeping space.
All you can hear is labored breathing.
Was it your own?
Was it Sanji’s?
Something was off. You couldn’t sleep.
Why was your pulse thrumming in your privates? Why was there slick gushing out of your slit to soak your underwear? Nothing even remotely sexual has happened tonight and yet your levels of arousal were off the charts. You tossed and turned for several minutes trying to ignore it, having the ache between your legs only grow more intense.
You couldn’t take it anymore.
“Sanji?” You whisper out into the darkness.
“Gods, Y/N, tell me you feel like I do right now.” Sanji responds in between pants.
“What the fuck happened to us?” You breath out to the dark ceiling above you.
“Something in that drink…” Sanji breathes out. “It fucking hurts…”
You peer over to your left and see Sanji grabbing at his crotch beneath the sheets.
“They drugged us.” You pant out, right hand delving into your panties and rubbing at your clit, trying to get some relief from the burn this mysterious wine was causing you.
“I-I don’t know how to say this, mon cherie… But what if we… helped each other…" Sanji said as he saw you pleasuring yourself beneath the bed covers.
“Right… it’s just helping a friend…” You say softly as you touch your sex further, reaching your left hand out under the sheets to wrap around Sanji’s erect penis.
“YES- I mean, yes-“ Sanji jerks at your touch. “It’s just relieving each other…”
“Okay… fine…” You relent.
Sanji jumps up and positions himself above you in a nanosecond. You take this time to push your panties down and your t-shirt over your head.
“Spread your legs for me, my love…” Sanji whispers as he hovers over you. “Show me what you need…”
“Sanji please, I need you inside of me.” You pleaded as you brought your hand down to spread your pussy lips. “Sanji why does it hurt?! Please help me!” You bucked your hips in his direction. You were desperate.
“I’m gonna fix it, okay? I’m gonna stop it from hurting. Do you want that, y/n?” Sanji asked.
“Yes! Please help me!” You cried out again as you saw Sanji pull himself fully from his boxers.
Sanji dances the head of his dick across you clit as you whimpered.
“I’ve got you, mon amour…” Sanji assures you as he leans down and pushes his cock into your trembling hole.
“OH-!” The moan is ripped from your lungs as you feel the throbbing head of Sanji’s member push past your g-spot to fill you completely. “Fucking finally-“ You groan as your eyes roll to the back of your head, the fullness you’ve been craving in your bones finally being fulfilled.
“More, more, more….” You chant as Sanji bucks his hips into yours with a fervent pace. Whatever aphrodisiac was in that wine had fully engulfed your brain and all you wanted was a thick cock inside of you stretching you out. The only thing you could focus on was the wet glide of Sanji’s heavy dick in and out of your hole. “Please, more!” You cried.
“My love, I’ll give you everything you want…” Sanji’s eagerness to please came through as he pushed your thighs up towards your chest, allowing him further access to your favorite spot. “Need you to cum on me… please..” He begged.
“M-More.. want more..." You whimper out.
Sanji takes one of his hands from the crook of your knee and places it around your neck gently. He leans in and places a tender kiss on your lips. He moves his other hand to the top of your sex. Sanji slips two fingers inside of you next to his own cock, assuring you're full to the brim and your favorite spot is being stroked with every thrust.
"San-ji! So- Fuckin- Full!" You cried out in the throws of pleasure, finally feeling exactly what you wanted.
“I can’t do this much longer, mon cherie, so wet and so tight…” Sanji groans into your lips as he ruts into you like an animal. “Need you to cum…”
“I’m…cumming… fuck!” You scrunch your eyes shut and scratch at Sanji’s naked back.
“So perfect….” Sanji whimpers into your sweaty neck as he shoots his load into you. You stroked his neck all the way down to the base of his spine.
“Aaah- Fuck- Ah!” You hear the cook grunt into your flesh as he digs his hips into yours further.
“A-are you cumming again?” You ask with a heavy sigh, coming down from your own orgasm.
“Sh-shiiiit….” Sanji groans. Tears prick at your eyes as overstimulation sets in. “M-my love…”
You feel Sanji’s hips drive further into yours, impossibly deep. He was emptying yet another massive load in you in less than a few minutes, it was spilling filthily out of your hole around his cock. Sanji collapsed almost immediately on top of you without pulling out.
Sanji wrapped his arms around your torso and settled in.
“You know you’re going to have to ask Chopper about a ‘morning after’ situation, right?” You muse as you stroke Sanji’s lower back.
“I think the embarrassment is worth it.” Sanji smirks as he nuzzles into your breast.
You smile and pull your love-cook close to fall asleep.

Hope you ALL enjoyed!

no warnings unless you don't like swearing lolll, couple uses of YN, just self indulgent fluff

“I don’t get it,” the swordsman grunted as the two of you sparred on deck.
“You’re gonna have to narrow that down for me,” you say through panting breaths, Zoro never was one for taking it easy on you. “I’m sure there’s lots you don’t get.”
He barked out a laugh, narrowing his eyes and sweeping your feet out from under you. You landed with a soft oof.
“You and that damn chef. That’s what I don’t get.”
You lay on your back trying to catch your breath. “What’s to get?”
He shrugged. “Dunno. He’s just so annoying I don’t know how you can stand to spend time with him.”
You sat up with a small groan and looked at your crewmate with a frown. “Who says I spend time with him?”
Zoro rolled his eyes but held out his hand to help you, which you gratefully accepted, taking a sip of water once you were standing.
“Oh, come off it, Chronicler. Do you think I’m stupid?” And upon seeing the smirk on your face followed up with: “Don’t answer that, you little shit.”
You crossed your arms and looked up at him. “I don’t know what you mean.”
At this stage, you and Sanji didn’t exactly have a label for what you were. Sure, you spent most (all) of your nights curled up beside him and sure, your eyes always looked for him no matter the situation you and your crew found yourselves in, but like… It wasn’t anything of concern for anyone else.
“It’s not like I care or anything,” Zoro countered, copying your stance. “But we’ve all noticed that curly brows is less…”
“Flamboyantly flirty?” You offer.
“Irritating, annoying, insufferable, enough that I could gouge my other eye out. But not by much.”
It was true that Sanji had become a more subdued version of himself. No longer did he feel any desire to flirt shamelessly with Robin, Nami, or any beautiful women they came across on various islands. That’s because he had you. Why on earth would his attentions divert anywhere else?
Zoro raised an eyebrow. “For someone who never shuts up, you’ve gone very quiet.”
“Well, ever thought maybe you’ve just gone soft and you actually might like the guy?”
He snorted. “No.”
You roll your eyes. “Whatever. Don’t see what business of yours it is anyway.”
He had a complete shit-eating grin on his face. “Struck a nerve, have I?”
“Shut up!”
“You’re in love with the waiter!”
You glare at him, but all witty comebacks die on your tongue. After all, he wasn’t wrong. You stuck your tongue out at him and flipped him off which he scoffed at, and made your way to the bathroom to wash your sweaty, post-training body.
Before you could step out of the bathroom, however, your way was blocked by an arm. “So, were you ever gonna tell me or did I have to find out from Usopp?!” Nami looked at you half-glaring, half-smirking.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you feign innocence, drying your hair with your towel.
“Hey! I thought we were friends!” She actually looked kind of hurt, and a pang of guilt jolted you. “I wish you came to me at the start!”
“Nami, you know I adore you, right?”
She nods.
“And if I had come to you and said I was seeing Sanji, would you or would you not have tried to talk me out of it?”
She paused, thinking. “Okay, yeah. I probably would’ve. So?!”
“What do you mean ‘so’?!”
Nami sighed. “Fair enough, I guess. But… Urgh, why him? Of all people! I love him like I love all of the crew but… Him? And besides, I thought you said you had sworn off of romance!”
You at least had the decency to look bashful. “Yeah, I did say that. Trust me, I didn’t plan for this. We just... I dunno, we see each other. Like, really see each other.”
“Ugh.” She pinched her nose and sighed. “Well, if nothing else, you both do seem happier. And he’s not as… Sanji-esque anymore, so I suppose that’s something.”
“See!” You said brightly, hugging her despite her protests that your hair was too wet. “Only good things can come of this, right? Now, if you excuse me, I think I need to have a little word with Usopp…”
“He’s up on deck with Chopper. Don’t go easy on him,” she grins, everything forgiven. “He’s telling everyone.”
Hair still wet, you march above deck to have a word with Mr Shit-Stirrer himself.
“Usopp!” You yell. There’s the sound of feet scrambling. “You can’t hide, you know.”
He steps out looking shameful. “Oh, hi YN. I wasn’t hiding at all, I promise! If I wanted to hide you’d never find me.”
Chopper came out behind him, looking confused. “Then why did you say ‘quick, I gotta hide’?”
Usopp laughed nervously. “That doesn’t sound like something I’d say.”
“But, you did! Is it because you’re telling everyone you saw Sanji and-”
Usopp swiftly pushes Chopper away, much to the little reindeer’s dismay.
You groan and cross your arms. “What are you telling everyone?”
He crossed his arms defiantly too. “Nothing.”
“Usopp…” You warn.
“I’m not telling anyone anything that isn’t true!”
Chopper came back over and hid behind your legs. “He says he saw you two kissing in the kitchen last night,” he giggled.
Your face flushed red. “Did he now? Thank you, Chopper.” You pat his head and he looks gleefully at Usopp who is glaring daggers at him.
He probably did see you kissing in the kitchen last night. It had been a few months since the two of you had started having your little midnight rendezvous, and you were definitely being less careful. It was kind of impressive how the others had only now started to notice.
“Well, I did!” Usopp protests.
“And you had to tell everyone?!” You hiss.
He cowers at your tone, beginning to look guilty. “I’m sorry YN! Forgive me!”
“We’ll see,” you say before heading back to the girls’ quarters. You can hear Chopper and Usopp bickering behind you.
You enter the room with a sigh, leaning against the door. Robin sits on her bed reading a book.
“YN?” She asks with concern. “What’s wrong? Is it because Usopp is telling everyone about you and Sanji?”
You bang your head against the door. “So he told you too then?”
She shakes her head. “No. I’ve known for a while.”
You gape at her. “Uh… What?”
“I heard you creeping out at night and saw Sanji bringing you back to bed one morning. Plus, he’s been slightly, hmm, less…”
“Less Sanji, so I’ve heard,” you sigh again.
“Why does it matter if everyone knows?” she asks as she closes her book.
You sit down on your bed and face her. “It doesn’t. I don’t know. It just felt very… Special. Secret. It only belonged to us, and now it belongs to everyone.”
She nodded thoughtfully. “I see. So it feels less sacred now? Like you’re sharing it with everyone else?”
“I guess so.”
“Have you spoken to him about it?”
You shake your head.
“Well, I suggest you go to the kitchen and talk about it with him. He might make you feel better.”
“You’re right, as usual,” you stand up and check yourself in the mirror. “I can’t believe you’ve known this whole time and didn’t say a word.”
She smiles slyly. “You’d be amazed at the things I know and don’t tell.”
“You’re scary, I love that.”
For whatever reason, you were nervous on that walk to the kitchen. You could hear the sound of knives chopping and Sanji humming to himself as you stood at the door, trying to build the courage to enter. With a breath, you push the door open.
The blonde chef turned around, ready to yell at Luffy for trying to come in before dinner was ready, his face softening exponentially as he saw it was you.
“Mon amour!” he said in a hushed voice, moving towards you to press a kiss to your head. His sleeves were rolled up at the elbow and he looked the way he did when he got lost in his cooking.
“Hey, Sanj,” you greet him, nerves dissipating as you look up into his face.
“Come, you have to try this!” He grabbed your hand and pulled you to the stove, lifting a spoon up to your mouth. As always, it was delicious and you made sure he knew.
His face brightened so much you thought he might burst. “So, sweetheart, what’s on your mind?” He asks, brushing your hair off your face. He could read you so well now.
“Well… Usopp saw us in the kitchen last night and told everyone so now they all know about us,” you say, inwardly cringing. “And I don’t know how I feel about it.”
Sanji’s face fell slightly. “I see. Are you…” He cleared his throat. “Embarrassed? Of… Me?”
Your face twisted into one of horror. “Oh god, no! No! Not at all!” You reach up to hold his face, looking into his eyes. “I could never be embarrassed of you. Don’t be silly, Sanj!”
You could’ve cried at the look of relief on his face.
“I don’t know how I feel about it because it was so special and uniquely ours, and now it’s some bit of gossip. I just feel like… What we have is so… It transcends anything, and it feels a disservice for it to be spoken about by anyone else.” You’re still holding his face gently, rubbing small circles with your thumb, his hands settled on your waist.
His face blossomed into a lovesick expression, and he looked like he might swoon. “I never tire of hearing how you feel about me,” he murmurs. “It blows me away every time.” His hands creep from your waist to your back as he peppers your face with kisses. “You really feel so strongly for me that the thought of others knowing hurts you. Mon cherie, I will never understand why you chose me, but will forever be grateful.”
All your concerns floated away like dandelions in the wind. Why would you ever be worried that others knowing would take away from what you had with this man?
“Let them know,” he proclaimed softly into your hair as he pressed another kiss. “Let them all know! Let every damn pirate crew know of the Strawhat Cook and Chronicler. Let them sing songs about our love for generations to come. In fact, I want everyone in this shitty world to know!” He picked you up and twirled you around as you laughed. He raised his voice. “Hear that, everyone? Me and YN are together!”
He put you down and put his fingers under your chin, tilting your face up to his.
“My darling YN… No one else matters to me, but you. That said,” he kissed your nose softly. “God, I’m glad everyone knows you’re mine.”
His lips meet yours in a passionate kiss, hot and desperate. His mouth was greedy, time slowed down around you both, as it always did. Your hands tangled in his hair and he groaned into your mouth,
“Sanjiiii, I’m hungry!” Came a whine behind the two of you as you both whipped around. “Oh, hey YN. Anyway, when’s dinner? I think I’m going to die of hunger.”
“GET OUT!” Sanji yelled, reaching behind him and throwing an empty pot in Luffy’s direction. “It’s ready when it’s ready!”
Luffy pouts and leaves the room. You and Sanji turn to look at each other, faces flushed both from the kiss and being caught. Then you both burst into laughter, and once again he pulled you to him.
“I love you, Sanj,” you whisper.
His eyes well with tears of joy, your sweet, lovesick cook.
“I love you more, darling YN.”

playlist: your blood - aurora
There was a shrine built in your bedroom, made for no one and inhabited by one. He found shelter within it, and while you could fault him for his bad taste, you were too fond to try.
It was a dusty old thing. Atop a small side table sat a goblet you filled with moon water daily. A stick of half-burnt sandalwood incense was beside the cup, accompanied by several clear quartzes you had for no reason other than finding them pretty. A cookbook was open to a page about risotto and a bit of ash from the incense stained the paper. You had read on how to make an altar for worship, but not what to do when something made its home there.
His name was Sanji, or at least that was what he told you to call him. His true name would cause your eardrums to rupture if you ever heard it, even if, apparently, it wasn’t much to brag about. Personally, you thought that if you had a name that held so much holiness within that it would make any mortal who heard it bleed from their eyes, you would be a bit of a braggart. Though, you supposed that was why Sanji was an angel and you weren’t.
You kneeled before his altar, hands clasped in prayer. While you knew all it took was the barest whisper of his name and he would appear, you wanted to show him how much he meant to you. Since the day he appeared, bathed in a heavenly glow, golden hair and blue eyes glimmering beneath his halo, your every wish was granted. Your food tasted divine, your days were kissed by the sun, and your dreams were always pure. To have earned the favor of someone so holy for nothing in return made you feel a little spoiled. Today, you decided that you would give Sanji a gift in return. Something only a human could give him.
“You called for me, my dove?” Sanji’s soft tenor echoed through your head, a choir of voices all singing together to form one. You shivered under the weight of it. Gentle, he brushed the tip of his index finger against your chin and tilted your head upwards until you met his eyes. “I told you once before, there is no need to prostrate yourself to make me appear. You have me at your beck and call.”
That was the problem. You wanted to worship him. To fall to your knees at the sight of him, to bask in his holy light, and give him the full weight of your attention. The attire he wore did wonders for your imagination. A pure white gown with a slit that ran from his leg all the way up to his hip, revealing golden bangles hanging along his thighs. His arms were adorned with jewels and chains, all of which ran together to create a harness across his chest. Oh, how you dreamed of pulling him towards you, fingers tangled within it, to press his holy lips against yours. Sanji’s wings fluttered behind him, a nervous gesture — it still surprised you that an angel was capable of feeling nervous of all things — and you felt your lips twitch.
Still on your knees, you shuffled closer to him until you rested your cheek against his thigh. You gazed up at him, the picture of innocence, and even then you could see the stirrings of lust darken Sanji’s expression. He wasn’t as pure as he made himself out to be. His eyes lingered on your bare skin and his fingers trailed across the small of your back when he passed you, more than once. Maybe that was why an angel found his way into your dingy little apartment. Heaven had no need for a pervert.
A shaking hand found its way into your hair.
“My lost little lamb,” Sanji murmured.
With a small breath, you lowered your head to place a chaste kiss to his knee. “And I need you to guide me.”
You felt him shiver above you, his hold on the back of your head tightening ever so slightly. Raising yourself high, you placed open mouthed kisses along the length of his thigh, your tongue running across the cool metal that decorated his skin.
Sanji groaned, his free hand going to cover his crotch. “Sweet, sinful dove, you have no idea what you’re doing to me.”
“I do. Let me worship you, my lord.” You muttered between kisses, growing closer and closer to his clothed heat. His cock was erect, barely hidden by the thin fabric that covered him. You looked up at Sanji from beneath your eyelashes to see that a beautiful pink blush covered his face, and a thin trail of blood trickled from his right nostril. His breathing hitched when he looked down at you.
With a sweet little smile, you pushed aside his gown to reveal his already weeping cock. It glowed with the same heavenly light as the rest of him, and you were certain that you found the holiest part of him right then and there. Your mouth watered at the sight. With your tongue, you trailed a wet line along the underside of his cock before you pressed a dainty kiss to the head. Sanji let out a chorus of moans that went straight to your core. You pressed your thighs together to get a little bit of relief from the insatiable heat.
His hand trailed from the back of your head to cup your cheek. “Look at you, so needy for me already. Come now, lamb, let me take care of you.”
You shook your head before you wrapped your hand around his cock. Sanji bit his lip as his dick throbbed against your palm.
“No, my lord—” His cock pulsed again at the title, and you caught the drops of precum that dribbled from his cockhead with your thumb, smearing it along his length— “Tonight, I worship you. Tonight, I give thanks for all the prayers you have answered and the wishes you have granted. I want to show you the pleasures that only a human can give.”
Sanji’s eyes softened, even as he bit his lip from the slow strokes of his dick. “I could never deny you. Not now, not ever.”
With that, you took his divine cock between your lips. You swirled your tongue around the tip, swallowing the salty-sweet taste of his essence as it leaked into your mouth. He tasted like cinnamon, so unlike any other man you’d had before. Sanji groaned, fingers tangling in your hair.
“Yes, my dove, worship me just like that,” He said, rocking his hips forward and pushing himself further down your throat. You gagged, esophagus constricting around his dick, making Sanji throw his head back and cry out. It made you want to take him deeper. Before you could try, Sanji pulled himself out of your mouth, a string of saliva still connecting you to him. His pupils were blown wide with lust, almost blocking out the blue of his eyes entirely. “Are you alright? Was I too rough?”
“You were perfect,” You said before swallowing him whole.
Not expecting it, Sanji couldn’t help the moan that spilled from between his lips. It sounded heavenly, like music to your ears. You would never grow tired of Sanji’s beautiful noises, encouraging you to take him deeper. Spit dripped from your chin as you continued your sloppy ministrations, Sanji’s thighs twitching beside your head as he fought to keep from thrusting into your mouth.
“Yes… Oh, my lamb, where did you learn to do such dirty things, I can’t take much more,” Sanji babbled above you. “I don’t want this to end.”
His brow furrowed, nose wrinkled in concentration as he fought to keep from cumming. You tapped his hip, and looked up at him, pleading for him to finish with your eyes. Sanji was breathing heavily as he stared down at you, his cock disappearing between your lips.
“Y-You want my blessing, dove? Are you willing to take all of it?”
You nodded.
“Oh, may Heaven forgive me for this si- Ah!”
Sanji’s dick pulsed as he pumped hot ropes of cum down your throat. You swallowed every last drop while he rode out his orgasm, unable to keep from thrusting ever so slightly into your mouth. Playing with one of the golden bangles on his thigh, you removed yourself from him with a slick ‘pop!’ a coy smile playing on your lips.
“That’s my favorite method of prayer, you know,” You said.
Sanji let out a small breath of air, still trying to gather himself in the wake of his orgasm. “If I had known that, I would have begged you to pray to me months ago. For now, though…” Sanji trailed off, the heat in his gaze making you shiver. “I want to hear what sinful noises you’re capable of making, little lamb.”

Thinking of how much Sanji loves to hear you say his name 💙
“Saaaanjiiii!”
Your lover never tires of hearing you call for him. He loves the way his name sounds coming from your lips.
“Oui, mon amour?” He approaches, placing a hand on the small of your back.
“Can you reach this for me?”
“Anything for you,” he says with a kiss to the top of your head.
…
“Five more minutes, Sanji,” you mumble. His arms are wrapped around you in your shared bed. He loves how soft and raspy your voice gets when you first wake up. He loves the light snore that emits from you when you’re in a deep sleep. He loves how you know when he stops cuddling you, no matter how deep into sleep you are.
“I wish I could, but I have to make breakfast for the crew. You know Luffy will be awake soon, begging for food.”
You whine as he removes his arms and gets out of bed. The lack of his warmth prevents you from falling back to sleep. With your eyes still closed, you reach an arm out of the covers. You wiggle your fingers and make grabby hands for him, causing your acrylics to clack. You hear him chuckle.
“Aww, ma moitié(my other half), I’ll be back soon,” your partner says before grabbing your hand and kissing it.
…
“Mmm, Sanji, this is so good!” You moan. The octopus yakitori he made is scrumptious, so good it makes you do a small happy wiggle at the table. The grilled meat tastes so good with its slight char and the caramelization of the sauce. Hearing your praises sends blood rushing to Sanji’s dick. Your moans of satisfaction don’t help the situation, either.
“I’m glad you like it,” he rushes out after clearing his throat. No matter how long you’ve been together, Sanji still finds himself absolutely fawning over you and any positive attention you give him.
…
“Sa-Sanji!”
Hearing you like this is his favorite. All needy and fucked out. He’s pounding into you from above, one hand balancing his weight while the other holds your hand. His fingers are interlaced with yours and you can’t help but give a cock-drunk smile. ‘He’s inside me and he still wants to hold my hand? How romantic,’ you think.
“You’re taking me so well, my love,” Sanji grunts out. He looks so sexy with his curly eyebrow furrowed, mouth slightly agape, and the faintest layer of sweat dusting his forehead. As he feels his release coming, he ruts into you extra deep, wanting to hear you moan his name just one more time.

── 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐑… 𝐍𝐎. 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃.
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: you were once a feared name on the sea--once, but not anymore. your downhill life takes a turn when you decide to rob a pirate ship, and it happens to belong to one of your big brothers.
𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: luffy's sister!reader x strawhats
𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 3k
𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: smoking, mysterious backstory ooooo ahhhh, fluff and minimal angst, not enireeeely satisfied with this but its left off kinda open-ended so ill likely return to this scenario later
Now, the Strawhat Pirates were used to not knowing much about their captain’s past. He has a brother with flame powers? Sure thing. A Marine Vice Admiral for a grandfather? Okay, that’s fine. Monkey D. Dragon is his father? Whatever, they’ve heard crazier.
But really, at this point, they might want to just sit him down and get all of it out in the open.
Usopp wandered through a busy marketplace, Luffy’s shirtsleeve in his tight vice. Sanji tailed them as an extra precaution, one eye on his supply list and the other on the ready-to-bolt captain.
Luffy huffed indignantly, tugging at Usopp’s grip. “I wanna explore.”
“And we want to get out of here in a timely manner,” Usopp quipped back.
And they just might have done just that, if not for the hooded figure running right through Luffy and Usopp, parting their hands. A street vendor shouted curses after them, shaking a fist. “S-Stop! Hey!”
It was no use; the thief was too far away, and the man was too old to have the energy to chase them. He slumped his shoulders and pinched his brow, raising his gaze to find the stares of Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp zeroed in on him. “What? You plan on robbin’ the old man too?”
Sanji removed his cigarette from between his teeth with a shake of his head. “Sorry. What’d they steal? Maybe we can get it back for you?”
The old man shook a dismissive hand, frown deeply set on his face. “Agh. Don’t bother. You kids don’t get yerself wrapped up with her.” That was all it took for their prying curiosity to close in on him, and suddenly the man was surrounded on all sides. “Hey, now…”
“Who?” Luffy demanded first, head cocked to the side.
Lips agape, he shook his head and jabbed a thumb at the wanted poster pinned up to the wall beside his fruit stand. “That’s her, if you’re so curious. Been robbin’ us blind all month! The marines tried to catch ‘er, but no one can touch the bitch.”
Usopp rushed over and swiped the poster down, skimming it over with a hum. “Doesn’t look too tough. I bet we can take ‘er.”
The man rolled his eyes. “That’s what we all said.”
Sanji peeked over the sharpshooter’s shoulder as he let out a puff of smoke. He blinked, cheeks growing warm the longer he gazed at the woman pictured. “She’s… beautiful.”
Usopp squinted at the slightly faded writing scrawled under the picture. “Wanted dead or…” He snorted. “Nope, that’s it. Just dead for 40,000,000 berri.”
“Lemme see!” Luffy sidled up to Usopp and stared right at the poster’s center, recognition settling in instantly. You looked older, but that wasn’t the biggest change—joy had returned to your smile, your beaming expression showcasing a side of you he hadn’t seen since before Sabo died.
An unbridled laugh left him as he took the poster roughly, shoving Usopp aside. “Hey! That’s my little sister!”
“Oh,” Usopp hummed, taking a moment to process before his brows vaulted and he shot Sanji a look. “WHAT?!”
જ ⁀ ➴
You slinked through the streets toward the docks, hood hung low over your face, cheshire grin shrouded by shadow. You rolled a slice of mango around your tongue, sighing now that your hunger was satisfied.
You wanted to pay the guy—honest! But being an enemy of the state didn’t exactly pay well, and a mercenary’s gotta eat.
Waiting for a donkey cart to roll past, you bolted over to the wooden boardwalk just in front of the port. Nobody paid you any mind, assuming you to be one of the street urchins that made up the local gangs. You only meant to play a small joke on the young sailor you’d grown acquainted with, make his life just a bit more difficult, when your path was halted by the sight of a new ship docked at port.
It was a pretty caravel, a little rough around the edges from weather and climate, with a masthead of a goat peering out at the city. A pirate ship, for certain. A grin itched its way up your face. A pirate ship meant treasure, and there wasn’t much in this life you liked more than treasure.
Well, there was one thing, but unfortunately, your brothers were scattered across the sea—two alive, one not so much. The thought had you stumbling over your own feet, righting yourself swiftly before you headed for the caravel. You mumbled pathetically to yourself, like you had been since you left your home village some years ago. The life of a mercenary is a lonely one.
“Wonder what they’ve got, huh, Sabo.” Gazing up at the clouds, you grinned. The wind whistled through your hair, and your coping mechanism fell through. It’d been doing that a lot lately. Sighing out your troubles, you shook out your shoulders and crept up the gangway.
A girl stood watch, facing the sea on the other side of the ship. At the helm, a swordsman lay sleeping. Other than that, it was empty. Just a skinny-limbed girl and a lazy warrior. Perfect.
You slipped on board without a sound, living up to your title as The Silent Death. Well, nobody had called you that in a few years, not since you were twelve and stormed Marine Headquarters looking for your grandfather. You hadn’t found the Vice Admiral, but you had given them a reason for renovation. You possessed the Terra-Terra Fruit, and the earth rumbled at your command. At least you still held the name Earthshaker.
Your first wanted poster had been a shot of you sailing away, laughing in the face of the destruction. A force of nature, they called you. Hired by pirates, warlords, and royalty to do their less than noble deeds. But that was a long time ago. Now, you were nothing more than a petty thief, loneliness and grief taking its toll after so long repressing it.
But never the matter! After this last loot, you’d have the money to buy back your ship, get off that godforsaken island, and finally restore yourself to your former glory. Then Ace would never call you on your little snail transponder and laugh at your series of failures.
“Hey.” You glanced up from where you were crouching behind a barrel, locking eyes with the girl as she blinked surprisedly. Her hand itched toward a weapon at her side.
“Shit.” You cursed yourself and your inner-monologuing tendencies. “Bye!”
You darted up and made for the edge of the ship when a sword whizzed past your faze, narrowly missing your chin. The swordsman rose, alert as ever, two more swords ready at his side. You scoffed, huffing, “Why do you need three?”
Three… Two… One.
Eyes widened, you realized you knew that lazy swordsman (whose swords probably overcompensated for something) just as he started to recognize you as well. He jumped down to the deck, approaching warily as the girl came to stand beside him.
Roronoa Zoro muttered your name like a curse. “What’re you doing here, huh?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” you murmured back, genuinely curious. “What’re you doin’ on a pirate ship, pirate hunter?”
“Change in career path,” he snapped. “We don’t appreciate stowaways. Especially not a backwater odd-job dog clinging to her glory days.”
You tsked. “Now, now. I was just having a look around. No harm done.” You swept a bow, flicking your wrist as you searched out the sea floor far down below. “I’ll be going now.”
With your head bowed, they didn’t catch your growing smirk until it was too late; the oceanic crust spread across the floor, magma exposed to the salty sea at an unnatural speed. The water rocked the ship and all those around, the nearby sailors murmuring worriedly.
“Hey, I may be a loser,” you admitted, picking at a cuticle as their glares shifted to concern. “But I’m still the Earthshaker, Roronoa. Now, how about some financial compensation for my bruised pride, before I capsize this sorry excuse for a boat.”
The girl scoffed in reply, brows vaulted. “Yeah, no thanks. We’re very attached to our beri.”
“You are,” Roronoa yelped. “Give her something before we lose the ship!”
Lips pursed, the girl looked ready to either attack you or give up, so you worsened the sea’s uproar just to give her a scare. A relent was on the tip of her tongue when her gaze darted over your shoulder, relief flooding her features. “Luffy!”
The sea floor closed up in an instant, the color leaving your face. “Luffy?”
A body flung into your back, tackling you to the deck. You bit back curses, wriggling free, when that laugh hit the back of your neck. A million repressed memories surfaced like the magma you controlled, and you were suddenly twelve years old, leaving your last brother in the dead of night to set off on an adventure you thought would fix everything.
Falling still, you slowly shifted to roll on your back, staring up at the beaming face of Monkey D. Luffy. You pushed up on your elbows, blind to the careful stares of those around, and gulped down some air. “Luffy?”
He chuckled gently, murmuring your name in turn, and you lurched forward to wring your arms around his neck. A tiny piece of your heart was put back in place (only a third of it, and you figured it would only be whole when you died and rejoined the brother lost).
Leaving home so young was a shitty miscalculation on your part. You’d fled Dawn Island some time after Ace, and some time before Luffy. Your not-so-big-more-like-twin brother always said you’d set out together, that one day he would be Pirate King and you would all be happy. But you left without ever saying goodbye, joined up with a crew of mercenaries, ate a devil fruit, and searched out Grandpa Garp for some answers about where you came from. And years passed and you could never admit your mistake—not until you spotted Luffy’s smiling face in the wanted poster he always thought you would share.
You leaned back and caught his eye, scurrying to sit on your knees. You wiped at your eyes as embarrassing tears started to well up. “I… I dunno…”
He knocked his head against yours, eliciting a sharp ow! from you. Luffy grinned cheekily as you nursed your temples. “You owe me an apology. So you can start there.”
And the fire sprang up in your throat all over again. Pathetic, you choked it all down with a nod. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what I was thinking. With S-Sabo gone and Ace gone… I thought for sure you’d be gone too soon enough… so I left you before you could leave me.”
You looked away sheepishly, rubbing at your arms. Luffy just flicked the side of your head and offer you the same bright expression he always did; it was the expression that gave you hope your life wasn’t totally screwed over, not yet anyways. “It’s okay—S’ long as you know it was stupid.”
You rolled your eyes and stood as he did the same. His hand never strayed far from your shoulder, holding you there like you might bolt away. Luffy gave a laugh and turned to face his friends, and only then did you remember you weren’t alone. You pivoted to face them all, locking eyes with a less-than-pleased Zoro.
“What’d going on, Luffy?” Zoro grunted, and if possible Luffy’s smile grew.
He took both your shoulders and shook you a little. “This is my little sister!”
You scoffed. “Little my ass! We’re the same age!”
Luffy held up his palm to his own height, then dipped it down to around your collarbone. “But you were always little-er, and Ace got to call you little!”
“Because he’s older than me!”
“Wait,” Zoro butted in just as you prepped to launch yourself at Luffy. “Sister? You never mentioned a sister.”
Luffy nocked his head to the side, lips pursed. “I didn’t?”
“No.”
“Huh.” He laughed it off. “But this is great! We saw Ace a while back in Alabasta, y’know.”
Nodding, you twined your hands behind your back and rocked on your heels. “Yeah, I caught ‘im a few months ago.”
The reunion met a halt when Luffy asked, “What’re you doing here, anyway?”
Nami jutted out a hip and settled you with a look. “She threatened to take down the Merry if we didn’t hand over our beri.”
Luffy’s brows vaulted, lips a thin line as he turned to you. You chuckled awkwardly. “That is something I did, yes.”
But that wasn’t what occupied him. “How did you nearly sink the ship?”
“Oh.” You swirled your palms, gathering the granules of rock and dirt scattered around the deck and collecting it all in a tiny twister. “I got the Terra-Terra Fruit a few years ago.”
His eyes brighetend like stars. “That’s so cool!”
Usopp faced Sanji with a slack jaw. “What is it with their family and devil fruits?”
“Hello?” Nami waved a hand between you and Luffy. “She tried to rob us, Luffy.”
You inched away from her with a small smile. “Sorry about that. Desperate times, yeah?”
Despite the frowns set on everyone’s faces, you had a good feeling you would win them all over. You were just too charming, after all. Casting a look around, a familiar ache gnawed at your stomach. “Uhm, have you got any food?”

The crew quickly decided that Ace was their favorite of the family.
While Ace was polite, generous, and charming, you and Luffy were cut from the very same cloth. Messy and loud, the only difference was that you were slightly more aware of your surroundings than your brother.
“Yeah, she and Luffy were always tied at the hip,” said Ace, his voice crackling to life from the transponder snail Sanji pulled out one late night. “Just… don’t be too harsh on her. She’s had a rough few months.”
Sanji had no clue what that meant, but he almost wanted to find out, not just because you’re pretty. A shadowy look always eclipsed your face, no matter how big your smile got. Over the few weeks you’d spent on the Going Merry, Sanji tried to get to know your story, but you never answered more than a few sentences before disappearing the whole afternoon.
“You knew her from before,” he said to Zoro one morning, stopping the swordsman as they traded spots for the night watch. “Do you know anything?”
Zoro adjusted his swords at his hip, chewing at his cheek. “All I know is a couple years ago, she was one of the most wanted mercenaries on the East Blue. Now, she’s a shadow of that person on the Grand Line. Isn’t that just what this place does?”
“Maybe…” But Sanji knew better. Maybe he was so concerned because he knew that sometimes, on days darker and gloomier than the rest, he had that same look in his eye. So he caught you one night watch when you had no choice but to lean against the ship rail and deal with his company.
He took a long drag from a cigarette, preparing what he’d say, when you nudged him and reached out to take the smoke from him. Sanji scoffed a laugh as he handed it off, watching you inhale deep and expel it in a puff, your eyes heavy. “Wanna talk about it?”
“About what?” You took another drag.
“Whatever it is you thought of.”
From the way your face darkened, Sanji thought you might stub the cig on the deck and leave him there to take your watch, but you only stood there, head hung between your shoulders. You gave him back his smoke hesitantly.
“For the longest time,” you sighed, “I wanted so badly to know where I come from.” Sanji tilted his head in unspoken question. “Me and Luffy aren’t reallys siblings. We’re adopted, I guess.”
“Ah.” That made all your similarities a little more uncanny, but it made sense. You didn’t really look like Luffy anyway. “And… you found out?”
You nodded shortly, picking at a splinter in the rail. “Not to long ago. I always imagined that my parents loved me, and that we got separated by some tragedy that left me on Dawn Island.” Your voice broke off hollowly. “But that’s not it at all.”
He didn’t say anything when you started crying, and he didn’t ask what exactly plagued your past. Sanji just… stood there, offered you a cloth from his pocket, and waited till you compeod yourself to give you his cigarette.
“Thank you,” you whispered as the sun peeked up over the sea.
“No need. I’m here if you want to talk. All of us are, really.”
You doubted that, but you sent him a smile and descended to the girl’s cabin for some sleep. Nami and Robin remained sleeping softly as you slipped into bed, staring up at the ceiling wide awake. Your slammed the heels of your palms to your eyes, silently screaming into the air.
“Why,” you hissed. “Why did I cry?”
Sheets rustled across the room, and suddenly Robin’s eyes glinted at you. “You were crying?”
“Who’s crying?” Nami yawned as she pushed up on her elbows.
You just about buried yourself in your blanket and suffocated yourself, face warming over. “No one! Go to sleep.”
“Can’t,” Nami snapped back. “You practicality stomped in here. I’m thoroughly awake.”
“Same here.” Robin and Nami shifted to face you from their beds, sleepy eyes hooded as they gazed upon you. “What’s the matter?”
You sat quiet as a mouse, eyes wide and caught, until you flopped over on your side and pulled your blanket up to your chin. “Sorry I woke you.”
The two Strawhats locked eyes, brows equally raised. They’d been conspiring to figure you out ever since you joined their adventures, and this certainly added fuel to their investigative fire. Because as much as you laughed and played and made messes everywhere you went, a great shadow lurked behind you—and everyone could see it.
Like a lingering ghost of a past you’d rather forget, something haunted followed your every move. From the way you cast glances over your shoulder at every port to how you fell into frightening silence at certain points in conversation, the entire Strawhat Crew felt the way darkness pulled at you.
And they would find out why—Whether you liked it or not, they would find a way to help you.
