I recently rewatched Train to Busan again, and now I can’t stop thinking about a potential Time Travel Fix-It story.

As Seok-woo dies, he suddenly wakes up in his bed at home in Seoul. He’s been transported back in time to a month before the zombie outbreak.

He’s been given a second chance to make things right, to stop the outbreak before it even happens. So he takes it.

Seok-woo starts looking into the BioTech company’s activities that his company is funding. He knows now that the outbreak stemmed from whatever this company was doing, so he starts doing his research. He goes to their facilities, inquires about their activities, tries to see what could have caused the zombie outbreak in the first place.

He also hopes to gather proof to get his company to withdraw funding. If he can somehow put a stop to the company’s activities, perhaps the zombie outbreak won’t happen.

And at the same time, Seok-woo tries to spend more time with Su-an, and be the father that she deserves. And maybe Seok-woo gets some help in his quest— perhaps Sang-hwa can somehow help him, or even the homeless man himself. Maybe they were also sent back in time to help Seok-woo put a stop to the outbreak before it happens. Or maybe he just happens to meet them, and they help him.

This is all just a vague idea in my head, based on vibes, and I have no idea how I would even write this. But I would like to think that Seok-woo could potentially stop the zombie apocalypse before that fateful train ride.

Mini-review:

I enjoyed this way more than I expected. I was a pretty big fan of the anime that aired a decade ago, so I was worried about this adaptation. But that wasn't necessary: instead of making a simple live-action remake, they tried to approach the story from a different point of view, making sure it could coexist in the original manga's universe (as shown by the very last scene). That being said, this one doesn't delve too much into its themes, opting instead to focus on the horror and action elements. And damn, it does deliver. The action scenes make great use of the parasytes' "tentacles", and they're shot with some stunning camerawork. Yeon Sang Ho's directing fires on all cylinders, more than making up for the pretty mediocre CGI. It also helps that the cast does fantastic job. So yeah, Parasyte: The Grey might not be as deep as it could, but if you're in the mood for a thrilling horror-action spectacle, then you should give it a try.

I started maybe one of my biggest mistake and that's rewatching MCTNA. it's hard and even watching ep1 is sooo hard for me. but I really want to do this. now that I know story well I can focus on acting and details much better. I feel like they're a bit stranger to me. I don't know if it's bc my mind is filled with Mr. Plankton or bc I had been away from MCTNA for so long. but anyway, I feel like it's the first time I'm watching this series. I remember everything, but my feelings towards the characters seem to be forming again. and that's really what I want.from ep1 I have only 2 thing to say. first is I'm falling love with Seon-ho again(for 100000 time) bc his beauty is so unique and he's so kind and CALM.(I mean Hwi is so lovely and cute but everything about Seon-ho gives a special sense of peace. his speech, his voice, his behavior, his dignity and even his beauty.) second thing is now I can really look how Namjeon care about Seon-ho. many say he's the devil and hate him. I'm sorry, but Ahn Nae-sang's acting or maybe Namjeon's complicated character won't let me to hate him. he's constantly monitoring Seon-ho's every move. it's not just a sign of affection, but I think the way he keeps forcing Seon-ho to be stronger is effective, even if it's not in a healthy way. like that shooting practice scene when Seon-ho was tired and couldn't shoot, Namjeon compared him to his brother and waited to see what he would do.
