“HUMANITY REPRESENTED” BY THOMAS TYMSTONE MAY 2021 14x20 ◾ This is my meditation. My internal thoughts, one of the ways I drift away. As some of you might know I love working in color. I have no problem with black & white, but color is my jam. This painting is completely watercolor (european and japanese). The paper is @blickartmaterials cold press 100% cotton paper. It’s like a dream (more on this later). I draw these grids and just go in, deep. Like I said, this is my meditation, my prayer to the world. What do you think? ◾

Each paintimg/sign is a thought/ wish for a future. The idea of 70’s and 80’s signs came into my mind. Black, white and gray. I love letters in art. I blame my exposure to the work of #barbarakruger. Her use of wording in her art blew my young mind. I also loved hand lettered signs. What do you think?

“AGOWILT” def: sudden sickening and unnecessary fear By Thomas Tymstone ◾ Have you ever come across an odd word? You try to memorize it, but then it’s just stuck in your mind waiting to be added to the conversation. Well this is my current word. Because of Covid19, I speak with a lot less people, so less chance to slip in an odd word or two. 🤓 The Mixed Media March painting is made with acrylic paint, liquid acrylic paint, oil pastel, watercolor pencil, water soluble crayons, crayons, collage, and India ink. This is a piece of heavily layered art. Keeping in the Mixed Media March lane, it contains; acrylic paint, liquid acrylic paint, India Ink, collage, stencils, and not a few water soluble media ie; crayons, blocks and sticks.

“CONNECTED” by Thomas Tymstone Feb 2021 Quarantine Art Club ◾ 9x12 This new watercolor play on Fluid ‘cold press’ watercolor paper. This watercolor piece is all about color theory and color harmony. How different shades of one color sing together and with others next to them. If I paint this color what is the next color by gut intuition. The middle color is gold because gold… duh! I often draw from different parts of my life or stories that have a strong emotional pull. Everyone has had a time in their life when they waited for someone to arrive.
