Is it prudish of me to feel uncomfortable watching the Sandy/Clement sex scene in the new episode?

not at all, anon. based on how that entire scene was framed i'm pretty sure it was intended to be uncomfortable to watch. it wasn't a regular sex scene between a woman and her boyfriend, you were supposed to look at that moment and see exactly what type of relationship and situation sandy is trapped in and the look on her face during the entire sex scene said it all to me. she was unsettled the whole time, clearly terrified and in a self preservation mode. she also didn't even get a say in whether or not they had sex which i would say speaks volumes too.

I love and admire Boyd Holbrook so much! He’s such an exceptional talent and a phenomenal actor! And Clement Mansell truly is one of my absolute favorite Boyd’s characters! He really did an outstanding job portraying Clement and he definitely deserves an award for that! He portrayed Clement to an absolute perfection! Phenomenal performance indeed! Boyd is a true actor! He’s a legend! ❤️🌟

As I was watching City Primeval again, I thought about how useless and off-topic were the criticisms of those who said that Clement Mansell's character has nothing of Boyd Crowder's greatness. It's good to remember that the latter did not immediately become the Machiavellian villain that all Justified fans love (I remember that in the first season he give me a combination of indifference and annoyance). Boyd Crowder has become a fantastic character thanks to six seasons, a beautifully written script, and an incredible number of supporting and secondary characters who have helped to define in detail his profile, his actions, and his subtle and unscrupulous criminal mind. Clement Mansell, on the other hand, was given only 8 episodes, comprimary characters whose story lines seemed to intersect with each other only out of a sense of duty, secondary characters absolutely useless and forgettable (with Sandy Stanton I think is the first time Justified has brought a totally colorless, loosely characterized female character to the screen). Boyd Crowder and Clement Mansell are symbols of two completely different ways of conceiving evil: the former, in a context that was not the degraded and poor one in which he was born, could have put his genius at the service of a cause/profession other than that of the criminal; the latter, on the other hand, expresses an almost archetypal vision of evil, one that is independent from social context or personal genius in order to manifest itself.

Thank you! I know I'm going to love Maxxxine. Love A24, Mia Goth, Ti West, and especially this trilogy. The trailer looks amazing. The premise is so 🔥🔥🔥. I ❤️ Maxine she's hot and a badass, like @bean-is-reading said. I like Sandy Stanton (prev icon) a lot too, and especially clement mansell giving to to us from behind, but it was time for a change ;). Ily summer 🩷
