Leafpool swallows harshly at a memory.

“She’s- mom’s still visiting dads- Sorry, Star Fireheart’s grave. She brings flowers each time.”

Brightheart chuckles, low and sad.

“Brother dearest Thornclaw suggested that she stop wasting her time and focus on the living… Mousefur and Cloudtail had to pull her off of him.”

Would any Warrior Cats apply? Sandstorm maybe? I know she qualifies for gender clause but birth parent as well?

So the thing is that while Warriors is technically a fantasy setting (i.e. a certain subset of the population has a direct communication with heaven and others have literally been gifted multiple lives) they don’t do anything interesting with this. At least as far as Macbeth is concerned. Another issue is that the canon often contradicts with what the writers have stated, and there are multiple writers, all with varying degrees of media presence. Mention the name Su Susanne to anyone in the circle for 5+ years and you can watch them go through all five stages of grief.

Sandstorm’s deal is that, for a while, it was stated that her father was a character named Redtail, and her mother was Brindleface. There are a lot of issues with these two cats in particular being her parents, but the point here is that Redtail was a male tortoiseshell cat. IRL, male torties are super rare and are always infertile. There’s a major issue with Brindleface as well that is exceedingly messy so I won’t bore you, but it’s a common fan headcanon that Redtail is a trans man and that he had Sandstorm with another character, Runningwind (or maybe Whitestorm depending on who you ask) The point is it’s a fan theory. But between those author statements and now, we’ve had a major update, namely a semi-interactive family tree. Sandstorm is listed with no known parents, despite both Redtail and Brindleface being in fairly close proximity to her. And despite there being multiple mistakes on this tree, people have taken the exclusion to mean they were not her parents. To be fair it seems pretty deliberate and no in-book info has ever mentioned either of them being related to her. Including Redtail's stand-alone book, in which Sandstorm isn't ever really mentioned (maybe in passing) So yes she could, but only through gender clause.

The only cats I can think of who would apply for anything outside of gender would be Lionblaze (maybe?) having been (maybe??) born via ghost-magic-c-section, Alderheart and Sparkpelt, who were either summoned from the void or were the result of god lying to Squilf in order to force her into sin (which at that point I think they should get a pass anyway) and Crookedstar, whose mother is not a woman but is, in fact, a heartless bitch [slight smile discord emoji]

So uh. Yeah. Evidently way more complicated of a series than I had previously thought. As for Sandstorm, Gender Clause is a definite yes, though Birth Parent Clause is debatable (though if the trans man Redtail theory were true, Sandstorm would definitely apply).
