HoMMIII, Sandro: "Good morning" --- He didn't expect anyone near his tomb this winter morning. The scarlet swan swims in a small lake...; while the white one, his undead companion, swims not and nowhere but dives deep in the folds of his cloak, hiding achingly from the snow they both did not know about, the snow that reveals their true nature, once touching them; there's whiteness of snow and feathers -- but never bones, and never intentions,
And still,
The scarlet swan swims in a small lake, them whisperers say; will that meeting become something there will be whispers about

Eyes of my friend
A one-shot about Romania seeing undead Sandro for the first time.
I was bored and wanted to write about my girl. New year resolution - share more about Roma. Starting today (5 days before new year).
Anyway enjoy.
The orders were clear. Stay near the borders, watch for Sandro trying to cross, wait until he gets close. They couldn't go either on the Erathia's or Deyja's territories, since, as Lord Ufretin said, "We want to stop the Necromancer, not start a war."
It was eating Romania from the inside.
A few weeks ago, she got a report from the field about how Jeddite failed and his forces had to fall back to Nighon. It didn't contain much details about Warlock as the report wasn't even intended for her – it was a copy that her Lord received gods know how long ago and it was sent to her with orders that summarised the situation and only emphasised that she and the other capitans were to stay "vigilant" and "ready" or simply – how Romania saw it – useless.
Romania sent the messenger back with a request to get a more detailed report about casualties on Nighon's side but she could only hope that her Lord would agree on sending his scouts out there to gather the intelligence. Of course, she justified it reasonably, claiming it would be useful to know how much support they could still get, how powerful Sandro was and what he was capable of, and other simply tactical reasons like that. She wouldn't just write "I need to know if my boyfriend is alive."
But gods, she really wanted to know if he was alive.
Stay, watch, and wait. Stay, watch, wait. Stay. Watch. Wait. Like an obedient dog. Not that Romania wasn't used to being one – as a soldier, her whole life was about listening to orders, and usually she had no problem with waiting, but this time it wasn't just a normal war, hunt or battle. This time, it was a fight against someone she trusted, who used to be her friend and now betrayed her, and hurt or probably even killed her partner.
No, Romania shook her head, Jeddite is not dead. I know it. No matter how far Sandro has fallen, he wouldn't kill his best friend.
Right?
Romania kept walking around the camp hidden under the trees, and anxious thoughts kept bothering her mind. Stay. Watch. Wait.
"Capitan, ma'am!"
Romania almost jumped when she heard the scout calling her. She stopped, stood straight, and looked towards a young, slim elf that ran towards her.
"Capitan! I saw the Necromancer and his troops west from here, going north, an hour from Captain Gaie's squad!"
"How long ago?!" asked Romania way louder than she planned.
"No longer than half an hour, ma'am!"
"Did you see the Necromancer? Are you sure it was him?" Her voice was shaking, and she was sure the scout noticed it.
"It was a figure on a black horse, in dark clothes, and with two dozens undead marching with it. I'm pretty sure it was him!"
"But did you–" Romania bit her tongue before finishing the sentence. She knew that Sandro had at least one more Necromancer on his side that the scout might have seen instead of him, and she didn't want to waste time on chasing one of his minions, but the scout wouldn't recognise Sandro anyway and her orders clearly stated that she was supposed to wait on her station unless the other squads needed her help.
But what if it was Sandro? Was she about to just let the other Capitan take him?
"Sound the alarm! We are moving now!" she stated and started walking towards the stables.
"But ma'am!" the scout trotted next to her. "Weren't we supposed to stay in our area and–"
"Sandro is strong," Romania cut him half–sentence. "One squad won't stop him. Even if Gaie has her archers, Sandro has the kind of magic that arrows will do nothing against. They will need help. We are going now and we are surrounding him!"
"Yes, ma'am!" the scout didn't protest anymore, just ran to pass her orders.
Five minutes later, they were already going. Romania's squad was made of pegasus riders and archers, swiftly moving through the woods.
Too slow, thought Romania while barely stopping herself from making Achates fly up and over the trees. She wanted to get there as fast as possible before either Sandro annihilates the other army or Gaie puts an arrow through his head, and she wasn't sure which one she was more afraid of. Part of her still couldn't believe that her friend became a twisted undead and overambitious Necromancer, which was one of the reasons why she needed to see him with her own eyes. That and the bloodthirsty desire to cut his traitorous head of his shoulder.
The forest was silent, too silent. According to the scout they should've been getting close. At this point, Romania should've been able to hear the sounds of a fight, even if they surrounded Sandro and caught him from behind. Was the fight over already?
Right before they left the forest, Romania stopped and gestured on her soliders to do the same. Way in front of them, through an empty field, where the forest continued to grow, was hoovering a thick, green cloud. Through it she was able to notice a few moving silhouettes. After a moment the fog started to collapse and uncovered bodies laying scattered on the ground, with few skeletons moving around, while in the middle was standing a person wearing dark blue robes, and, despite being so far away, Romania knew it was him.
She saw movements between the trees, glimpses of white bones noticable against the greens. Undead pushed elfes back to the forest and were fighting there.
Romania sent another gesture towards her soliders and they continued to move along the forest line, still hidden from the Necromancer, trying to get as close as possible without getting noticed.
Sandro kept standing between the bodies, still like a tree, while his cape was waving on the wind. Romania kept her eyes on him, watching his every subtle movement. Slowy, Necromancer started raising his hands, with glimpses of a soft green light dancing on his fingers. Romania's face went pale. She realised what he was doing before even the first bodies started to move. She shouted the orders, and her troops jumped from between the trees as Sandro's first animated undead started walking towards the woods, with more still rising. Capitan with terror saw how previously dead elfes were getting on their legs, sometimes just as clean, white skeletons, sometimes with flesh still dripping on their bones.
Sandro must've finally heard them as he turned his head towards the uncomming troops. New bodies stopped rising and his attention seemed to be fully focused on the new enemies. Now Romania was able to see his pale, collapsed face and light long hair falling on his shoulders. A grin appeared on his lips and he rapidly turned his hand towards them.
Romania recognised the spell and lifted Achates up in the air right before lighting struck the ground.
"To the forest, support Gaie!" shouted Romania to her soliders and turned pegasus towards the Necromancer. "This bastard is mine."
Her adjutant led the troops according to Capitan's orders while she flew towards her target. She was seeing red, her fingers clenching on the reins and for a moment she held her breath. As she got closer, she could've swear that Sandro's face adjusted and became even more familiar.
She struck from above, but her sword bounced from the magic barrier that Sandro put between them. The force of her hit pushed her hand away and caused her to lose her balance. She dodged lighting bold that flew inches above her head and realised that Achates was too open on the magick from below. She turned the mount around to once more face the Necromancer, but this time, right before the strike, she turned Achates to fly up while she herself jumped on the ground and rolled to amortise the fall. It disoriented Sandro, who missed another shot and then turned toward her while Achates flew away. Romania didn't waste a second and swung her sword that bounced from ebony armour on Sandro's chest. She narrowed her eyes. She had never seen this kind of armour before, and she felt dark magic pulsating from it. "Armour of the Damned". The cursed artefact that they were warned about.
It's an armour, she thought to herself, and every armour can be destroyed.
"Romania!" Sandro raised his hands in a greeting gesture while the devilish smile was still present on his face. "I was getting afraid that I might miss you! It's good to see that you were just as eager to meet me as I was to meet you, old friend."
"Shut up!" she shouted through her teeth and attacked, aiming for the weak spots in the armour, yet she missed as she had to avoid another spell.
"Eloquent as always," he mocked her while teleporting a few feet away. "Jeddite at least gave me a little talk before trying to burn me alive. Don't you wanna try to talk me out of it? Reason with me?"
"I have nothing to tell you!" She charged at him, swinging her sword that Necromancer once more pushed away. It seemed pointless to keep attacking him like that, but Romania knew how to fight magic–users. They had a limited amount of magica, exhausting them and playing on time was the key. She was also taking his attention from the main fight, which gave her troops a chance against the undead.
More merciless strikes fell on Sandro, and Romania saw how his grin pales. Finally, she struck his face, cutting through his cheek, yet instead of familiar feeling of steel slashing through the fles, she heard a grinding sound of cutting a bone. Sandro's face flickered and for a moment became transparent, showing white scull under it. Illusion.
Romania froze for a second. So he truly was an undead. A damn skeleton.
"My, my," Sandro touched his cheek and his face became human once more. "You are even more fierce than Jeddite!" He chuckled. "You must hate me even more than I thought! Is this betrayal that fuels you? Oh, or perhaps you think about your poor boyfriend? You know what happened to him, don't you?"
Romania clenched her teeth and hardly stopped her hands from shaking before continuing attacks.
"Of course you do! You two loving doves kept such a sweet correspondence!" Necromancer didn't stop his mockery.
I guess he doesn't have to worry about losing his breath, thought Romania. She did her best not to focus on his words, yet it was hard. Sandro struck a weak spot.
"I bet you would love to see what he wrote to you this time! To be honest, it was so sweet that if I could, I would've throw up. So I had to burn it. You two are disgusting."
"Shut up!" she yelled, trying to hide the trembling of her body. Her sword struck his neck only to once more cut through the illusion and miss the spine.
"Or perhaps I should say 'were'. I doubt he will be able to write anymore. Now I wonder," he pushed her away with magical wind, leaving a few steps of distance between them. "Since you loved him so much, would you be able to recognise his bones?" He gestured towards the remains scattered around.
Romania's face went pale and she stopped with her sword half risen. With wide eyes she followed his hand and then looked at the bodies and bones that surrounded them.
"You– you didn't." She whispered, terrified. "You wouldn't!" She added with even more fear and desperation as tears started gathering in her eyes.
Sandro responded with laughter.
"It's so nice to know you think so highly of me, dear Romania! But what can I say, I wanted to always have my best friend by my side, even if he refused to do so while being alive! But don't worry. I will animate his bones once more while I'm done with you and perhaps even let you join him!" Sudden lighting bolt came from his fingers, that shocked Romania barely avoided. "Or not!"
"You… you…" Romania was trembling but then clenched her sword even harder and threw herself on the Necromancer with scream: "You motherfucking bastard!" Her attacks became faster, filled with desperation and pain. "You traitorous piece of shit! I will cut your head of!"
Sandro laughed, blocking and avoiding her attacks. How much magica did he still have, thought Romania for a second, but then hatered once more filled her mind. It doesn't matter. I have twice as much strength and much more rage.
Sandro once more pushed her away with wind and then struck with lighting. This time Romania didn't dodge, instead took the spell on her sword. Electricity shattered the weapon, but capitan didn't even flinch, fueled by anger and adrenaline. She reached for her dagger and run towards Sandro. She avoided another lighting by rolling on the ground, and while getting up, grabbed some sword abandoned by a fallen solider. Armed with dagger in one hand and sword in the other, she once more charged at her opponent. Sandro's smile disappeared. Now he seemed angry and almost… scared?
Good, thought Romania, while her sword swung towards the Necromancer. He pushed it away, but then the woman struck him with dagger, cutting leather strip of his chestplate and causing it to uncover a fragment of his body. Shocked Sandro tried to cast another spell, but he was too late. Romania pushed her dagger through the unprotected body, once more destroying the illusion, yet now with enough force to break a few ribs and push the Necromancer. He lost his balance and fell on his back. Romania threw away the dagger and grabbed the sword with both hands, then raised it above her head, ready for the final strike.
And hesitated.
Sandro looked up at her with pure terror on his pale face. Suddenly, he looked so young, like the man she last saw those few years ago when him and Jeddite left AvLee with their master. When he was her friend. His blue eyes looked at her, almost begging for mercy, lips were trembling with fear, and he tried to cover his face with his skinny, shaky hand.
"Roma, please," he whispered.
It's just an illusion, Capitan remainded herself. Too late. From the hand that Sandro moved up to pretend to cover himself, flew a lighting bolt. It struck Romania in the chest, shattering her chestplate and pushing her off the ground and few feet away. Sword slipped from her fingers as she fell on her back and lost her breath. Her mind became foggy, and her vision blurry.
"Bastard," she tried to say, but her lips were shaking and a bit of blood poured from her mouth. Did she bite her tongue, or did her lungs get damaged from the spell? She couldn't get up, couldn't move, and in a short moment lost consciousness.
***
Romania was sitting in the infirmary, with bandages around her wounds. It's been five days since the battle, after which medics found her, healed and then transported with some of her surviving soldiers to the nearest fort. Healing magic didn't fix her completely – her wounds were too severe, and others needed healing as well, so while her lungs, concussion and other deep damages were fixed, the flesh wounds still needed to heal, like the one on her head, chest and arm. The last one surprised her. Apparently, when she took the lighting on her sword, some shock still transfered to her arm. She didn't feel it during the fight, probably because of the adrenaline, but also thanks to her leather gloves stopping some of the electricity.
Yet it wasn't what confused her the most.
Why did Sandro leave her alive?
This question kept bothering her for days. Her surviving soldiers said that right after her fight, Sandro called for retreat. Were his undead losing so badly without his constant support? Or did Romania manage to damage his artefact armour? Even if, why didn't he finish her off? One lighting in the head and she would've been dead. Did she drain his magica? Or was there still some humanity in Sandro? Some remnants of his old self, of her friend? Some part of her wanted to believe that, hope that he wasn't completely lost. Yet the other part preferred him to be completely lost and corrupted. It would've been way easier to kill him.
Why did I hesitate? It was the other thing that kept haunting Romania and she hated that she knew the answer. Because she saw her friend… No, because he tricked her to see her friend.
"I'm a failure," whispered the Capitan to herself while resting her head against the wall.
Suddenly, someone burst through the door. Romania turned her head towards him and noticed Eret looking around. When he noticed his sister, he ran towards her, ignoring other patients and a medic that told him to calm down.
"Roma, Romie, I came as fast as I could!" he said while sitting on the bed next to her and wrapping arms around her to hug her. Despite him obviously bursting with emotions, the embrace was careful – he saw her wounds. Roma returned the hug with her healthy hand.
"How do you feel?" He asked after moving away and looking her up and down.
"I'm… Let's get outisde." Romania looked at the medic that gave them both a warning look. "Besides, I could use some fresh air."
Eret nodded, and after Romania put on a shirt, they both left the infirmary.
For a moment they walked in silence, down the wooden stairs and through the green town. Romania looked down at her naked feet, enjoying the feeling of the soft grass soothing her nerves.
"It's not your fault he escaped. Don't blame yourself."
Romania sighed when she heard Eret's words. He always knew what was on her mind.
"I hesitated, Eret. I almost got him, but I hesitated."
"It's not your fault," he repeated firmly. "You did your best."
"You don't know that, you weren't there!"
"No, but I know you. You did well because you forced him escape. Thanks to that, some of the soldiers survived instead of being massacred and reanimated as his undead."
"But how many will die because I didn't stop him?"
"That's all on his conscience."
Roma scoffed.
"I doubt he even has one."
Eret let out a sad chuckle and nodded his head.
"Perhaps he doesn't."
There was another moment of silence as they kept making circles around the infirmary.
"What else is bothering you?"
Romania hesitated from answering but then sighed. There was no point in hiding anything from Eret.
"Sandro said he killed Jeddite and reanimated his bones."
Brother frowned.
"And you believed him?"
Capitan blushed slightly from embarrassment and looked away. Now it seemed obvious that Sandro just tried to manipulate her and make her lose her cool – even if at the end it worked against him – but what if there was some truth in it?
"I guess I did…"
"We both know that he always cared for Jeddite much more than for anyone else. If he spared you, then he spared him."
"We don't know why he spared me."
"Apparently, he didn't hate you enough to finish the job."
"Eret, it's not that simple."
Brother sighed and wrapped his arm around Romania's shoulder.
"Send a messenger to him. Maybe they will find out if he is fine."
"I don't have my own scouts that I would be able to send so far away."
"Well, they have to find something, right?" He then turned Romania to look at him and with all seriousness said: "We will find him. I promise."
Capitan managed to smile slightly and give him a nod. Eret pulled her to hug her once more.
"Alright, time for you to get back to bed. You really need to stop getting so close to the death."
"Well, I can't promise that."
"Yeah, I know you can't."

Hey Today I also have for you interesting facts about the game that some of you may not know. And besides, I have the male version of Cutbert (for those who took the female version as an insult and insult. I'm also throwing AI refreshed Adelide. The game was designed by Jon Van Caneghem, the creator of the Might and Magic series, who left New World Computing to start his own studio, 3DO, which was to produce the game. The game developers used the "Panzer General II" game engine from Strategic Simulations as the base for their own engine. It was originally going to be named "Heroes III: The Restoration of Erathia," but it was changed to "Heroes of Might and Magic III" to unify the name with previous parts of the series. The game features a character named Sandro the Necromancer, which is a reference to the game's creator, Jon Van Caneghem, who is known as "Sandro" in the gaming industry. The game's creator, Jon Van Caneghem, was also the creator of the Might and Magic series, which had an influence on the shape and mechanics of gameplay in Heroes of Might and Magic III. The developers worked on the game for over 2 years, from 1997 to 1999. It was released on many different platforms, including Windows, Macintosh, and PlayStation 2. Homm 3 contains many references to previous parts of the series, such as the return of heroes from previous parts, and references to events from previous parts. In the original version of the game, one of the units, the "Ghost Dragon," had a bug that allowed it to attack enemies without moving. The game featured a bug that allowed the opponent to copy artifacts through the use of a special unit or hero. There was also a bug that allowed for the acquisition of unlimited resources by visiting special locations on the map. One of the bugs allowed for the acquisition of unlimited amounts of gold through trading with NPCs. Another bug allowed for the unlimited reproduction of units through special buildings Homm 3 - All Town Music Heroes of Might Magic III All Town Themeshttps://youtu.be/XP1WEmaX7Dk

Part 8: Side Quests (Ravenshore)
As with modern open-world games, there are side quests available within each zone, many of which require transfer to other zones to complete. This list comprises only quests that begin and end in Ravenshore.
Bounty Hunters || Guild of Bounty Hunters- to the left of the Adventurer’s Inn || Not a formal quest, or one that I can predict for you. Each month, if you speak to the person inside the Guild, they will challenge you to kill one specific creature. Figure out which zone the creature is in, and kill one in order to collect a reward. Complete the quest enough times to join the Bounty Hunter Guild.
Eclipse || Lathius’ Hut- Across from the Healing House || For this one you must advance to the “Alliance” portion of the main questline. Speak to the guildmaster in Murmmurwoods about an alliance and he will tell you to use Dyson Leyland (found in the Necromancer’s Guild) and use him to destroy part of the guild hall. You do not need to actually ally with the Sun Temple in the Murmmurwoods. Once Dyson is in your party, go to the basement of the Necromancer’s hold via the secret door at the top of the stairs and trigger the guards to turn the whole Guild hostile (I recommend killing everyone in the entryway first). Once the Guild hates you- and it only works if Dyson is alive- you can go back up into the hallways and open the guarded doors to small treasure rooms. Eclipse is within one of those chests. (And if desired you can still speak to Sandro and Thant about allying with the Necromancer’s guild instead).
Arcomage Tournament || Blueswan Home- Across from the path to Shadowspire || Covered more thoroughly within the Arcomage section of this guide, your job here is to win at Arcomage in every single inn at least once. Return after those victories have been achieved and you will be given the key to a chest that sits beside the house, containing a great deal of gold and a legendary sword.
Kill all Dire Wolves || Hall of the Tracker- Left of the North-East inn || You must go through all outdoor areas to the LEFT of the river and into the Dire Wolf Den itself and kill every Dire Wolf. Note- there are no wolves on top of the cliffs, just at sea-level.
Rescue the Smuggler’s Daughter || Smuggler’s Den || You will receive this quest as you complete the mainline quest to blackmail Arion Hunter. Speak to Arion and he will ask you to free his daughter, captured by Ogres. Head to Alvar, and raid the Ogre’s Den. Upstairs you will find a button- if you have Perception, it may be glowing red. Otherwise it will remain normal color. Click the button to lower the bars near the door, and do an all-kill-all-loot of the ogres in the basement. You will receive a key. Arion’s daughter is within a cage on the upper level, open the door to free her and return to Arion to collect the reward.

@vindarsli ○ 𝕤𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕣𝕠 𝕒𝕤𝕜𝕖𝕕 𝕞𝕚𝕥𝕔𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕝 ○
⤷ 『 “Don’t cover your mouth, I want to hear you.” 』
A dark blush flooded his cheeks at the other's words. Their association had quickly turned from distrust on his end to curiosity and collaboration to, well… This. Sex. There really wasn't any other way to put it.
Oh certainly the first time he'd been trembling with the force of the leftover magic in his veins, making him all wired and jittery to the point the light brush of the air had felt like the crackle of electricity, lighting up his body without end. Sandro had graciously offered to help, albeit not in so many words and not while Mitchell was in any state to coherently protest. Or protest at all, really.
Ever since then, this had become something of a regular occurrence and despite how he could snipe over it or get into the Necromancer's face about it, the truth of the matter always unfolded in the same way: Sandro bending him over the nearest surface while he could do little more than moan, and eventually beg for more.
There was no resisting the older mage, and honestly, part of him didn't want to. Well, his pride still protested on occasion but even that part of him knew that without Sandro he wouldn't be learning half the things he knew now, wouldn't have been able to wield even a fraction of the magic now at his disposal. And today, as often, that thought alongside his practice had caused him a rather unfortunate problem between his legs. One his dear master always gladly took advantage of.
Today they were in the training area they had built, where he could safely experiment and practice his spellwork without risking the destruction of his shop and home. He felt a little wired from the magic he'd cast, but more so from the way Sandro pressed against his back, his front against a nearby table, his shirt already pressed up as his nipples brushed the rough surface of the wood.
The older mage fit against him almost perfectly, bodies pressed to one another and the man's erection pressing against his ass, just as eager as Mitchell liked to pretend he wasn't. But Sandro knew better, and so did he, and before long those slender fingers were inside his breeches, stroking his half hard cock to full mast with measured movements that had him grinding back against the other. Damn but Sandro knew how to make him feel good…
Shortly thereafter his pants fell down to his ankles, and he spread his legs as best he could despite the restraint formed by idle cotton, hands and front resting on the wood of the table, nipples perked from the rough friction its surface provided while slicked fingers probed at his entrance before breaching it. Two at once, because they did this often enough that he no longer needed to be treated quite as gently as that first time, dazed with magic and lust on his bed in the shop—
“Nnh…”
His voice slipped past his lips unbidden but not yet loud, arching into the touches that were spreading him wider, stretching him so his master could claim his pleasure shortly. Now hard, his cock is no longer being touched and he whines softly from the lack, despite knowing better than to try and touch himself. And that, too, is part of the thrill.
Soon those fingers leave him and he has time only to gasp before he feels the blunt head entering him, hard and hot and much thicker than the fingers that had barely slicked and loosened his hole before he was being filled by something much better—
“A-Ah, fuck—” A blush settled on his cheeks and he bit his lip as the mage slowly pushed deeper and deeper, filling him in such a good way it made his head near spin. Even so, hearing his own voice echoing in the underground chamber… A hand quickly shifted so support lay on his elbow instead as he moved to cover his mouth and muffle some of the embarrassment.
“Don’t cover your mouth, I want to hear you.”
A whimper slipped free as his hand dropped to the table with a small thump.
“D-Damn you, ah—!” With that, the other sank fully inside him and all he could do was moan into the echoing space as he felt the bliss of it, his pressing back against the other invitingly, head hung forward now as he panted softly, eager, so very eager for the other to start moving.

“Oh, my tusk? The nord who broke it was twice as big as me. A big, ugly fucker... He had a hammer the size of a child, you know. And now he is dead. Want to try breaking my second tusk? Go ahead. I’ll give you one try...”
Tbh I drew them for an art-meme, but it’s doesn't matter, because in the end I finally have a drawing of my beloved non-binary orc oc!
Their name is Sandro gra-Talak and they work for an organization that helps orcish girls escape from the clan if they don’t want to become wife's for some fat chieftain. They are a necromancer, and they are ready for anything to protect the orcish girls...
I love Sandro very much, although I obviously don’t have enough hands (and time) to draw ALL my oc’s, gosh..... Hope in the next year I’ll draw more.

I wanted to share some of Romania's story for a long time, but I never did because I wanted to do it more chronologically. But dammit, I will share what I have and hope that someone will like it.
Anyway, there it is, a one-shot of Romania as a capitan and Jeddite as a young warlock.
A little healthy thing
I guess a little context would still be useful tho:
Romania is my oc for Heroes of Might and Magic 3. As general she represents the player.
Jeddite is one of game's heroes, but his story is so poor and limited that I've decided to take care of him myself.
Sandro is one of the most popular game villains.
Roma and Jed met when they were 18-20 years old and after a few years Jeddite left with his master Ethirc and Sandro to continue studying.
So, after this way too long introduction please enjoy!
Fairs were the most fascinating part of big cities – at least according to Romania. She loved the bright colours and noises. Winter fair was her most favourite. It wasn’t just an ordinary market but also a holiday. The Mage College and Military Academy were giving their students winter break, which means that Roma was able to spent time with her friends. Also, holiday fairs were always bigger, more colourful and brighter, and some things were available only on the specific holidays, like the mulled beer. Well, technically you could drink it all year long, but neither of schools allowed their students to drink during school year, and it didn’t taste half as good during the warmer seasons.
Roma, Eret, Jeddite and Sandro were just wandering around the fair, looking for a place to sit while enjoying their beers. Romania couldn’t help herself from noticing that Sandro seemed – as always – uninterested with anything around, grumpy and annoyed that he had to be outside his room. She was often under the impression that Sandro didn’t really like her and was around only because of Jeddite. She felt that young mage had some kind of a beef with her that she didn’t know about.
‘There is a spot,’ said Eret, pointing at a free bench.
Before they were able to sit, someone run into Romania, spilled her beer, mumbled fast ‘I’m sorry’ and run away.
‘Damn it!’ Romania looked at her empty mug.
‘Are you okay?’ asked Jeddite, worried.
‘Yeah, yeah. It’s fine, it’s just a beer. A little shame, but…’
‘Wait, where did Sandro go?’ said Eret while looking around.
Romania and Jeddite also rose their heads and tried to find their friend in the crowd.
‘How long was he away?’ asked Roma.
‘I could’ve swear he was just here,’ answered her brother.
‘Calm down, you panicking chickens, I’m here.’ Sandro appeared behind them with a second mug of mulled beer. He gave it to Romania without a word. ‘I disappear for a minute to get another mug and you are all on edge, seriously…’
‘What can I say, it’s not our fault you are so short,’ said Jeddite mockingly and ruffled his hair.
Roma smiled while watching how Sandro blushes and tries to put his hair back in order. After that, the young mage looked at her and smiled back.
Those were moments that assured her that Sandro do in fact liked her and she could called him ‘friend’.
At least she used to.
…
While recalling memories of Sandro that was the vision Romania had before her eyes. Young, grumpy boy, with smile rare yet precious and honest, with act of service being his only love language towards his friend, and all the feelings hidden and protected. She couldn’t manage to portrait him as a traitor and undead necromancer trying to fight his way to the Deyja through the lands of AvLee.
She was standing still, watching pegasi resting in enchanted springs. She and her squad were stationing in this city while waiting for necromancers to get closer so she brought her pegasus, Achates, to rest in the springs.
Romania was so glad that the higher command allowed her to participate in catching Sandro. She couldn’t believe that her friend truly turned to dark magic and became a necromancer. She would’ve lied to herself if she wouldn’t admit that the darkness and fascination with necromancy was always a part of Sandro’s personality, but to the point of betraying Jeddite and running to Deyja? She had to see it for herself to accept this as true, and even then she wanted to try to change Sandro’s mind and speak to the boy he remembered him to be.
The other reason she wanted to join this fight personally was because Jeddite himself asked her for help and she couldn’t say ‘no’ to him. Especially not when she knew that she was the only one he could ask within the military ranks.
‘Captain, sir!’
Romania looked at the soldier who just came from the woods to the spring. He stood at the attention and saluted. Romania answered with the same and then said:
‘At ease, soldier. What’s the matter?’
‘There is a message from the warlock who asked for our help, sir!’
‘Are you the messenger?’
‘No, sir, he is here personally and asks to speak with you! Should I…’
‘Take me to him!’ interrupted Romania and then cough embarrassed, trying to hide her excitement. ‘I’m sorry. I mean I wish to speak with him, soldier.’
‘Yes, sir! He is here, sir!’
‘I must admit, this is kinda entertaining to watch.’
Romania rose her head when she heard the familiar voice. She noticed a man standing with hands in his pockets, laying on a tree. He was wearing simple traveller clothes in the shades of dark blue and grey. His brown hair were long, tied at neck and short beard covered his chin.
‘Captain, sir?’
Soldier’s voice snapped Romania out of the shock.
‘Thank you, soldier, go back to your duties.’
‘Yes, sir!’ He saluted and run away.
Jeddite slowly walked towards Romania, as if he was giving her time to process the situation. Woman was unsure of what to do or how to react. She hasn’t seen him sice he left AvLee five years ago. They did exchange letters but it wasn’t the same. She changed a lot through those years, how much did he? Will he like the ‘new’ Romania? How much will she like the ‘new’ Jeddite? Was there anything left of their old love or did it all went away and existed only as few words in bland letters?
Then when he stood in front of her she looked into his deep blue eyes. Still the same, familiar and lovely. She once again felt like a young girl that fell in love with those eyes for the first time.
‘Jeddite…’ she mumbled, still unsure of what to do, charmed with her lover.
‘This whole officer thing suits you, you know?’ said mage jokingly and stroke her cheek with the back of his hand. ‘I could watch you giving orders all the time. I wouldn’t mind taking some too.’ He winked, making Romania blush and relax. He always knew what to say to her.
‘Well, too bad you didn’t see me fight.’
‘Yet. I bet I will be impressed.’ He slowly lay down towards her and then hesitated. ‘Would you mind…?’
‘Not at all,’ replayed Romania and let Jeddite lay a gentle kiss on her lips.
She felt shiver going down her spine. How she missed that, his soft lips on her, his rough beard scratching her face. She couldn’t compare this excitement and happiness to any other. The kiss was short, yet for her it felt like an eternity. An eternity she was waiting for.
She subconsciously stroked his beard, like she used to when they kissed all those years ago. She loved that rough texture and couldn’t find anything like that to bring her peace, aside from Achates’s hair, which obviously wasn’t the same.
‘I’ve missed you,’ whispered Jeddite, looking into Romania’s eyes.
‘Me too,’ answered captain, smiling softly. Then she took a step back. ‘But what are you doing here?’
‘Well, I couldn’t miss the opportunity of seeing you, could I?’ He smiled and grabbed her hand. Then smile disappeared from his face. ‘Shame that this is the situation that brought me back to AvLee.’
‘You want to talk about it, don’t you?’
Jeddite nodded sadly and sat at the spring shore. Romania sat next to him and gave him time to gather his thoughts. The situation was hard for her yet she could only imagine how terrible it was for her lover. Sandro wasn’t just his friend from the college. He was his best friend, almost like a brother. They knew each other since childhood, way longer than Romania knew any of them.
The silence between them went on, heavy and full of unspoken words. Capitan saw the pain in Jeddite eyes, the hesitation every time he opened his mouth only to close them without saying anything. She didn’t rush him, she never did. Jeddite speaks when and only when he wants to.
Finally, Jeddite rose his head. He still didn’t say anything, but Romania noticed tears going down his cheeks. This sight shocked her, but she quickly got over this feeling and gently hugged him. Jeddite rested his head on her arm and tightly embraced her around her waist. Then he finally stopped resisting and let himself cry. Roma’s arm muffled his sobbing, making it hard to hear, so all of those tears stayed between them.
‘It’s my fault,’ whispered Jeddite, when he finally managed to calm down a little.
‘No, Jed, don’t say that.’
‘But it’s true! I’ve introduced Sandro to Ethric, I persuaded him to teach him, even when master said that there is darkness in him! How could I’ve been so blind?! I knew him for so long, why I let this all happened?!’
‘My love,’ Romania put a soft kiss on Jeddite’s head. ‘Don’t blame yourself for the choices Sandro made. I didn’t see anything wrong with him either, Eret too. He was our friend, we wouldn’t suspect him of anything like that.’
‘You didn’t know him like I do. You weren’t there for all those years. I should have been listening to master.’
‘I don’t think it would’ve changed anything, you know? Sandro would just find another way.’
‘You mean that I didn’t make any difference?’ Jeddite slowly draw back.
‘No.’ Romania wiped his tears away. ‘I mean that if there was truly darkness in him, like Ethric said, Sandro would let it consume him anyway. But you made a difference. How do you know, perhaps your friendship delayed it? Or made it less dangerous? Perhaps…’
‘Perhaps we can still reach to him and stop him,’ finished Jeddite, hopefully.
‘Exactly what I wanted to say.’ Romania smiled softly and kissed him on the forehead. ‘We will try to reason with him and we will stop him, I swear. And we will do it together.’
Jeddite managed to smile. He wiped last tears from his face and then put his hands on Romania’s cheeks.
‘What would I do without you?’
‘Not much, that for sure.’
Warlock laughed and lean towards captain to kiss her.
Romania wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. She felt warm feeling rising from her chest and overwhelming her body. This kiss was different, deeper, stronger and more confident than the first one. Now they both were sure that their love was still there, still strong. That they could still trust and depend on each other and there were no place for doubt. Every movement of lips, every stroke of tongue sent shiver down her spine. It was exciting yet familiar, assuring her that it is indeed her Jeddite and that she wants to be with him forever, that she is able to go through everything with him. That, no matter the distance or time, at the end she will still love and trust him.

The Main Quest Part 3: Forging an Alliance
This is where you have options!
That being said, your choices have very very very little impact on the game.
Alliance: Minotaurs of Ravage Roaming
You have no choice here. The Minotaurs are default.
1.Go to Garrote Gorge and follow the road that leads behind the Dragon Hunter’s Camp until it prompts you to travel to Ravage Roaming.
2. Follow the road to the main city, then through it into the mountains. At the end of the road is a black pit in the ground. Click on the pit to enter Balthazar’s Lair.
3. Inside you must fight through the maze-like lair, pulling switches in a special order (outlined on a scroll found inside, select the scroll and click on your portrait in inventory view to read). If you don’t want to read the scroll, the order is: A - B - C - E - G - D - J - C - E - F - D - I - C - Lowest (follow the halls past Switch E and down into the depths).
4. Speak with the chieftain in the room beside the lowest switch to secure the alliance. In the future when you come to Ravage Roaming there will be a small temple with a bull head on top that serves as the entrance to the lair now.
Alliance: Dragons or Dragon Hunters of Garrote Gorge
Choosing to side with the Dragons of Garrote Gorge will make businesses in the city unavailable to you. You can also no longer train at the training hall there (but there are many training halls throughout the game).
Choosing to side with the Dragon Hunters of Garrote Gorge won’t change the quests in the Dragon Cave or the trainers therein, but all Dragons in the mountains will be hostile to you now.
1. Follow the road behind the Dragon Hunter’s Camp to enter Ravage Roaming.
2. Turn right and head North to the Ogre Fortress.
3. It doesn’t matter what entrance you use, there are 4. Just enter the fortress.
4. Fight your way around the top level. Don’t forget to climb the stairs, you’re looking for a switch in the wall. Pulling the switch opens a staircase along one whole length that leads down into the under-fortress.
5. Find the room at the back with stone walls. Inside will be many ogre warlocks, including Zog. Kill them.
6. Standing in the doorway, facing the flat wall, look to the left side of that wall (not the short wall on the left, the left side of the wall). There will be a very small red glowing stone. Click it and the wall slides down.
7. Collect the Dragon Egg from inside, then take it either to the Dragon Cave or the Dragon Hunter Camp to ally with that faction. Whoever gets the egg is your ally.
Alliance: Necromancers (Optional)
You must choose between allying with the Necromancers of Shadowspire or the Sun Priests of Murmmurwoods.
If you ally with Shadowspire, the entire city in the Murmmurwoods turns into enemy territory (but you still have access to all buildings). You will also be unable to complete the side quest involving the shield Eclipse.
If you ally with the Sun Priests, the Necromancer’s Guild atop the mountain at the edge of Shadowspire’s main city will become unfriendly.
** It is worth noting that this is the most inconsequential choice in the game as you really have no business with either faction moving forward anyways. **
1. Enter the Necromancer Guild and head up the stairs. Turn right and work your way through the halls down to the elevator that takes you to Sandro and Thant’s rooms. Speak with them about an alliance.
2. Backtrack and head to the tower on the LEFT this time. Recruit Dyson Leyland into your party. *HE MUST BE A LIVING MEMBER OF YOUR PARTY (and he dies very easily in battle)**
3. Head to the Murmmurwoods. Enter the Sun Temple.
4. Across from you as soon as you enter you’ll notice a red spot glowing on the wall. Click it and the star in the middle of the lower level will rise.
5. Head down and go around the star until you find a hole in the floor. Drop down.
6. Follow the hallway and you’ll see the Nightshade Brazier sitting on a pedestal. Take it.
7. It takes a while to trigger, but once it does, everyone in the room will turn hostile and attack. Hold them off (or just wait) as the pedestal slowly falls down into the floor. Jump in the hole it left behind and you will be in a sub-basement of the Temple.
8. Take the door to escape, then return to Shadowspire. Turn the quest in to Sandro and Thant for the alliance to be secured.
Alliance: Sun Temple (Optional)
You must choose between allying with the Necromancers of Shadowspire or the Sun Priests of Murmmurwoods.
1. Enter the Temple of the Sun in the Murmurwoods and speak to Oskar Tyre in his office. He will ask you to destroy the Nightshade Brazier.
2. Head to Shadowspire and enter the Necromancer’s Guild. Head up the stairs and follow the path on the left down through the Guild until you reach an elevator. Head up.
3. Open a spot in your party for Dyson Leyland. He’s useless and dies easily, have fun.
4. Start killing every necromancer you see. Initially they will be friendly, so you’ll have to cast a spell at them in order to target.
5. At the top of the stairs there was a big mural. Click it with Dyson alive in your party. The door will open.
6. Take the elevator down and try to walk off a ways. You’ll be stopped by a prompt saying guards are telling you to turn back.
7. Press on anyways, ignoring them. This will turn the entire building hostile and release extra enemies between you and the exit. I recommend immediately backing up, heading up the elevator, and re-clearing your path out.
8. Dyson- if alive- can now open all the doors in the halls to the right or left of that hidden door you found. If you wish to complete the side quest looking for the shield Eclipse, do it now. It is in one of the chests in one of those rooms.
9. Head back down that elevator behind the hidden door and clean house.
10. Once everything is dead, put your back to the giant cavernous room. Again, Dyson has to be alive for this bit.
11. Next to the door you see a series of 5 switches. Click them. They go up in a special order, but you don’t have to get the order perfectly right. Just click until things move. Then click the square button on the wall to drop the door, and click the wooden slide to seal it.
12. Walk back into the big cavern and a cutscene will begin showing Dyson destroying the mechanism.
13. Return to the Murmmurwoods to inform Oskar the deed is done.
You have now unified the people of Jadame.
At this point I highly recommend leveling everyone up, distributing skill points, and visiting trainers. It’s about to get wild.
