Lyrics To This Hymn:
Whatever my God ordains is right
His holy will abide
I will be still, whatever He does
And follow where He guides
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Yet shall fill my heart
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Sorrow shall depart
Whatever my God ordains is right
He makes my feet to stand
Though sorrow, need, or death be mine
He holds me in His hand
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Yet shall fill my heart
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Sorrow shall depart
This bitter cup, I take it
My fainting heart restored
So here I stand, unshaken
I trust upon the Lord
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Yet shall fill my heart
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Sorrow shall depart
He is my God, though dark my road
He holds me, I shall not fall
Whatever my God ordains is right
To Him, I leave it all
Oh, sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Yet shall fill my heart
Sweet comfort, sweet comfort
Sorrow shall depart
Sorrow shall depart
Sorrow shall depart

The Kingdom of Jesus (new Porter's Gate song)
From friends with The After Party and the Porter's Gate:
Christians are formed by what we read, watch, listen to and... by what we sing! Recently, we partnered with our friends at The Porter's Gate to create what we are calling Songs For The After Party, modern hymns that will make up the forthcoming album The Kingdom of Jesus. We are confident this special collection of music will encourage you as you think about & talk about politics in light of Biblical truth. We will release a new song each month and pray this music will be a rich blessing to all who encounter it! https://redeemingbabel.org/the-after-party/worship-album/
Here is the fist song release: "The Kingdom of Jesus (feat. Sandra McCracken)"

To what shall we compare the kingdom of Jesus if not a seed It’s small, it’s sown, it’s tended and grown And it’s sturdy, you and me Its branches never break and its fruit never withers
His kingdom is not of this world or of any kingdom whose ruler’s face is on a penny He comes to make all things right, to put a new wine in us He’s chosen the small things to outlast the great The meek and the merciful to shine through the hate Though it seems, some days, that hell and its gates are prevailing Oh, say, can’t you see: the kingdom within us Is the kingdom of Jesus
To what shall we compare the spirit of the hour if not a sword It frees us, unites us, enslaves and divides us in violence Help us, Lord

Are you “listening”?
the first track on The Still Point
What is?
A letter from Sandra McCracken sent in an email on friday the 24th of may:
Years ago, some friends and I made a pilgrimage to meet Wendell Berry, a Kentucky writer who winsomely urges readers to consider a slower, more integrated way of life; he called it the “slow communication movement.”
Today, Ben Shive and I have released a new EP of songs called “The Still Point” that reminds me of those words. Using classical elements and poetry over lush instrumental sections, this project sounds at times like a soundtrack and other times like prayerful reflection.
The third single is out today and it’s called, “Do You Dream.”
We hope you’ll listen to the EP in its entirety, maybe with a pen and paper on hand or while on a Sunday drive.
Thank you for coming with us on this journey…we look forward to hearing what it opens up for you.
Cheers, Sandra

Song of the Month: November 2021
Song of the Month: November 2021
Thy mercy, my God, is the theme of my song,The joy of my heart. and the boast of my tongue;Thy free grace alone, from the first to the last,Hath won my affections, and bound my soul fast.Without Thy sweet mercy I could not live here;Sin would reduce me to utter despair; But, through Thy free goodness, my spirits revive,And He that first made me still keeps me alive.Whene’er I mistake, thy kind…

Sandra McCracken ft. Josh Garrels – The Space Between Lyrics [Verse 1] Free fall Feet off the ground A clean white page Fresh snow, no sound Here as we wait From dark to dawn New paths before us The old is gone [Chorus 1] Unplug the lights Take down the tree The less we have The less we need From Christmas night To New Year’s Eve We bless the space that’s in between We bless the space that’s in…

Conversation
A Spontaneously Random Animated/Red vs Blue Shitpost
At an evil lair somewhere near the beach...
(phone ringing for ten seconds)
Killgore: For the love of evil, someone get the phone!
Black Cuervo: Why don't you get it yourself?
Killgore: Insolent girl! Can you not see that I am busy with a nefarious plot to take over the world? What do I pay you for?
Black Cuervo: To go out and execute all your plans and clean up after you when they fail.
Killgore: Oh, shut up, you fool. You can't even leave this place.
Black Cuervo: Yeah. Because of one of your failed plans.
Wander: Why all this bickering, guys? Can't we all just get along?
Killgore: And answer the cursed phone!
Black Cuervo: I'm so glad I work for a toy that can afford a million doomsday devices but not an answering machine, much less cellphone coverage.
Killgore: I find you far too sarcastic for a goth girl.
