I have a question, what would you recommend if you can't find many face claims (or none at all) with a particular ethnicity combo? For example, I have not been able to find many iranian/white face claims aside from maddison jaizanil, but I have more muses that are connected to the character's family that are also the same ethnicity. So, do I just use someone who is fully Iranian? Any suggestions on how to go about this?

this is definitely tricky. to be honest, i really hate the mentality of, like. "the perfect is the enemy of the good?" because if we're saying that you can't do this unless it's totally perfect, then ultimately we're wholly losing those muses and those stories. and i just don't think that's a win? so this is the policy i use in my real life: you get as close as possible. first choice would, yes, absolutely be fcs who are half iranian and half white. second choice would probably be fcs who are any part or fully iranian. now, iran is kind of tricky because it's not part of the "middle east" in the way that most other arab countries are. but generally your third choice is going to be either other countries in the same kind of cluster, or the surrounding countries. so third choice i would say would be iraq, kuwait, afghanistan, and armenia. i'll list some iranian fcs below, see this ask also, this one as well. i hope this helps!!

In fair Verona, our tale begins with HECTOR RIVERA, who is TWENTY-SIX years old. They are often called HORATIO by the MONTAGUES and works as their SOLDIER. They use HE/THEY pronouns.

The first thing he remembers is a love so intense it hurt, and for all that he’s tried to find ways to quell it, to love in such a way that it doesn’t nearly tear him apart, the pain hasn’t subsided since; but he loves still—wholly, all-consumingly. He’s always looked at the world and those in it like a MARTYR gazes at a heretic—with agonizing love, and no matter how hot the flames get, that’ll never change. In his eyes, it’s remarkably simple: some people were born to die for others—piece by piece, day by day—and Hector Rivera is and always has been one of them. As a child, he would’ve bled for his belief in the betterment of others, in the ability of a man to rise from the ashes of his own mistakes and begin anew. Even as his father and mother became mere shadows of the parents—the people—he’d once known, he BELIEVED. Call him a masochist, a blind optimist—a fool, but HOPE is the only thing he never lost, not to death or distance or any other barrier that the things and people he loved couldn’t conquer. He’s always been at war with the world and trying to save it in the same breath, a task every bit as daunting as it is dangerous, and he’s no closer to victory than the day he began. But his failures haven’t stopped him from FIGHTING. His parents’ involvement with the mob—and their subsequent deterioration into something less than themselves—saw him become best friends (blood brothers, they’d sworn, in an unsanitary ceremony that, in hindsight, could’ve killed them) with a boy with dark eyes and darker habits, and the ACHE he felt in his chest every time his companion put the bottle to his lips was one reminiscent of a loss he hadn’t seen coming, a warning he had no choice but to heed. He refused to watch the boy he loved wither like the flowers he’d brought to his mother when she was too sick to leave her bed. He refused to let the best friend he’d ever have drown in his sorrows—not when he had two shoulders capable of bearing some of the burden. Hector fought his friend’s addiction tooth and nail, sometimes prying the bottle out of his hands himself, and every time he failed—every time he found the older boy surrounded by empty bottles of burning liquor, he forgave him. Because he loved him, because he cared, because the world itself was built on second chances, he FORGAVE him. But he never forgave himself, and that—not his desperation to save everyone around him, not his at times blind hope—was his HUBRIS. The only person he could never talk out of their vices was himself, and it nearly killed him, nearly drove him mad. Where else was there for the pain to go but into the heart of the man who’d exorcised it? He was a hypocrite of biblical portions, and he knew it. His desire to see his loved ones outrun their demons became an ADDICTION in itself, and it’s impossible to escape with the weight of the world on your shoulders. He’d have crumbled, had it not been for his duty to the mob—to his friends, to his brothers. In trying to save them, he was saved, and in fighting for the Montagues’ cause, he’s been reminded of the urgency of his own. But his blasphemy is far from over; he still talks his friends down from their ledges and spends plenty of time on the edge himself. He’d take the gun out of their hands and pull the trigger to keep the blood off of their hands, and his willingness to walk through fire for the ones he loves just might get him BURNED. But what else is there for a martyr to do than DIE for his cause? What else does he have to give? He’s tried to count his blessings, to ration them out and offer them up, but the lines between sacrifice and salvation have BLURRED, and he’s not sure what it’ll take to appease fate, so he intends to leave no room for failure. He’ll see this war won if it kills him; he’ll watch his loved ones defeat every addiction he never could if it’s the last thing he sees. For Hector Rivera, there has never been anything else but this: the ache of wanting better and the knife of fighting for it.

GENEVIEVE ZHANG: Pseudo-Mother. She is a pillar of a woman; unwavering and infallible. She commands herself in a way that often makes her appear ruthless and shrewd. Every bit the empress that has ruled the Zhang empire both with and without her partner. It often leaves people frowning in confusion when Hector expresses his admiration of the woman but they don’t know what he knows. They don’t see the gentle, loving mother that comes forth around his best friend, they simply either see the empress or the widow. Nothing more and nothing less. Hector sees more in the woman even if they’re coincidental glimpses when he happens to be around Henry while he’s interacting with his mother.  Hector will do whatever it takes to ensure that she and her son come out of this war unscathed; after all, they’re the only family he has left.

HENRY ZHANG: Best friend. He would know him anywhere—at the beginning of time, the end of the world, and any forsaken moment in between. He’s all he has left in this world, having lost his parents—literally and figuratively—when they were young, and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for the older man. He’d follow him wherever he might wander—to hell and back and even to death if he so dared, and he’d do so without expecting a thing in return. It’s almost selfish, the way he tries so hard to save Henry from himself. It’s almost tragic, the way Henry tries so hard to let him. This man may be the death of him one day, but it’s a death Hector can’t pretend he would mind. Seeing him happy and safe is the only last wish he could ever hope to see fulfilled. ORION MASSETTI: Nuisance. He hails from the other side of the Castelvecchio, yet somehow, he always manages to cross the Rivera man’s path at the most inopportune moments. He’s everything Hector knows he should avoid—indulgent, vulgar, and a Capulet above all—and he’s made that sentiment quite clear, but either the older man takes hints like a priest takes shots or he simply doesn’t care. Regardless, he wants nothing to do with the man and his antics. The warmth that floods his cheeks—two parts embarrassment and one part anger—is too often taken as encouragement, for despite his best efforts, he’s never been good at controlling his emotions. But to rid himself of the presence of a man who takes his kindness for weakness without resorting to bloodshed, he’s willing to try. BERNADETTE DU PONT: Interest. He sees her around Verona often and she always seems to be wandering. Some wander in search of something, some wander out of a sense of entitlement to the world and everything in it which is left unseen and untouched. Others wander simply because they can’t find their place and Hector assumes that Bunny is one of those people. One coincidental encounter with her had left him with his eyes furrowed in sympathy and his heart surging with an impulse to reach out to her and lend her a hand; Hector can’t let it go. Ever the savior of the broken, often at the expense of his own health and sanity, Hector feels compelled to lend support to the wanderess, even if she pushes him away.

Biography:

There are a few things Luther has known since childhood. For starters, he’s the son of the Archangel Michael. A bizarre story until his powers started to develop and proved he’s not just human. There’s still some doubt in his mind about who the angel his father slept with actually was, but so far, he hasn’t found any reasons to doubt the information he’s been given.

While most kids played with toys, Luther got firearms. No ammo, of course, his dad wasn’t completely insensitive. It was important for his father that Luther knew guns and felt comfortable around them since they are the Sousa family’s source of money and power (which they have a filthy amount of). Luther is expected to take over the crime business once his dad decides to retire. A role he is more than happy to step into one day. Thanks to his dad’s awfully successful illegal activities, Luther grew up living life as part of the world’s one percent: yachts, diamonds, private jets and boarding schools — glamour in all its forms.

Luther grew up among important people & that did a lot to shape his spoiled rich brat character. Drug lords visited their house all year round and his father wouldn’t stop bragging about the latest terrorist attack, which happened all because he supplied the weapons (ISIS sends Luther’s dad a birthday card each year). Honestly, people wish they had an ego as big as Luther’s.

His father wasn’t shocked by the person Luther eventually grew up to be, but seeing as he’s the leading weapons dealer in the world & Luther is supposed to take over in a decade or two, that kind of behavior simply won’t do. Sending Luther off to LA was a well throughout decision. He thinks having his son run the LA branch would do him good and prepare him properly for the life he is destined to lead. Picking Celestial Tower was entirely Luther’s decision. See, he heard that there are all sorts of creatures in that building. Even angels.

Headcanons: 

Luther feels important and every little thing he does is aimed towards making everyone else understand just how important he is.

Deep down he knows he has to get his act together, but it will be a while before he goes around to doing just that.

Despite the money, Luther’s source of endless cockiness comes from the fact that he is that much more superior to humans. He has yet to interact with any supernatural beings.

Killing people is gross. He witnessed his father killing a man at the ‘fragile’ age of fifteen and claims to have been traumatized by the experience. In reality, Luther doesn’t have an issue with the act of murder itself, no. His problem lies with having to deal with a corpse (which is GROSS as previously stated).

After growing up in Mexico as an avid footballer, that’s soccer, Jesper’s biggest dream was to go to America and live the American dream. For him, the dream was to go pro, play against David Beckham, and become a star. As an only child to a greedy politician, Jesper was lucky enough to receive a solid education which meant that when it came time for him to look into universities he wasn’t particularly at a disadvantage despite living in a foreign country that was deemed generally unsafe. Though most people wouldn’t describe him as exceptionally bright or skilled he could certainly be described as driven. Mexico was home, but California was the place he’d always pictured himself.

There were a couple of colleges in Mexico that offered him scholarships, but only one school in America that accepted him. California State took Jesper on, but he had no scholarship and no promise of getting on the team. After his two semesters that led to two failed attempts to get on the team, his roommate who was at the school for football, the American pastime, encouraged him to audition as a kicker. Immediately impressed, he was taken on and became the star of a team that just couldn’t seem to make touchdowns those two years. Luckily, this wasn’t just a means of passing the time. Finding a love for “the other football” and applying his “real football” skills to the sport led to his immediate drafting upon his graduation from Cal State.

Living a new dream and playing in the NFL for the Los Angeles Chargers, Jesper has decided to buy a place in Los Angeles and pay rent to a teammate for their basement during training season. Though the coming season will show whether he is a kicker or not Jesper is already the top fantasy draft choice for his position. His lavish life knows no limits and he has also been labeled as one of the NFL's most desired men. Taking his fame to the next level he models for Under Armor, as well as doing frequent commercials for the NFL and Gatorade. There’s only one place the fame hasn’t gone to his head and that’s when it comes to his relationship with his mother back in Mexico. Knowing that she isn’t safe with his father and also wanting to please her, he joined this social network in hopes of meeting someone because he knows that his mother would want to move over if he was getting serious with someone and he likes the idea of a relationship and moving on to the next chapter of his life.
