I’d say both me and the dog are pretty friendly, but they like to keep to themselves a lot of the time, so I’d need to ask them if it’s alright if I talk about their appearance on here. Sorry I couldn’t answer your second question right away!

Humans have a different naming tradition than us?

...Okay, while Blizzard Breath is still writing, I'll fill you in on how Pokemon get their names, at least in this universe. In the wild, rather.

Okay, uh... Pokemon, when they're first born, don't have a name, not conventionally. When they're able to talk- [She glanced at Suicune.]

-When they're able to communicate, they come up with a name for themselves. It normally doesn't happen till they're "teenagers", I guess is what humans call 'em...

Mind you, they put tons of thought into what it would have to be, too. Most times, it's based on what you'd want to do in the future. Sometimes it's because of your family and your heritage... Other times it's just because it has some personal meaning.

Point being, you won't run into a Skuntank calling themselves... I dunno, "Bigdick McRizzerson" or somethin'.

That's part of the reason why I stuck with the name Cherry. It's technically a nickname, as my real name is...

...rather embarrassing. Not the name itself, it's still the name I'd like to use, but I... never fulfilled the promise that came with it.

But it's not like it matters-

Being that your last name means "knight", what is the story behind it? More specifically, was there a fate you were supposed to meet? Do you have a Kalosian origin?

I have to wonder if you guys are at all familiar with how humans are named, because to be perfectly honest with you, I have no idea what the story is. I have to imagine one of my great ancestors must've been a knight from Kalos, because I was basically born and raised in Unova before I had to move to Johto, and my mom was of Paldean descent (my dad doesn't count since neither of us kept his surname after he left). That being said, mom always attributed her somewhat overprotective nature to this nickname, and unfortunately, I never did much of anything to disprove its relevance for myself...

And yes, I know, very funny...a Samurott named "knight". The irony of this is not lost on me.

You know, eebying has a scientific explanation here, but if it didn't, I'd totally call our Arceus out on making him a sword-based Pokemon based on the name alone. From the species to the behavior to the name itself, toe to tip, that's a Cooper Chevalier for you. It's pretty funny to me.

I'm gonna rename this blog coming up soon since I've gotten writing stuff I'd like to talk about, not just art stuff :P

It's gonna be a mix of art and writing but just about OC stuff, mostly. I've got ... 13 stories I've been dabbling with over a period of 10~ years or more.

It's still going to be samrot something but I've been debating on "Art", "Creative", and thanks to my brother, "Multiverse". Still not sure.

A bit late, but oh well. I've been a bit busy lately.

I'm breaking my "less details" rule because I felt a lot of emotions in a single moment.

I am at a village shopping mall, that looks like a small slightly older town on the outside of the shops.

@samrot-the-wicked is there along with my family. We're hanging out in this little gathering area, sort of resembling a beach hotel room.

Then, the Medic from Team Fortress 2 comes over to greet us.

He gets very close to me, going past me and almost brushing me. He looks his usual self, unabashed and smiling. I mumble something about checking to see if a place would have nice fluffy towels, and notice two words have consonance. I repeat them to myself, mouthing them out loud, in a silly voice, knowing my mum and sister will roll their eyes at best. I hear a genuine hearty giggle from Medic, and he grins at me with those bright, intense eyes of his.

I am so overcome with contentedness and love I feel as though I'd float away if not careful. It makes me feel poetic and romantic.

"I think we are of similar minds, hm?"

Anyway. Now that I've said I'd do the thing I can't skip on it now.

One of the places is a saloon that gives free slices of cake to their patrons. I thought it was just a cake shop, and left embarrassed after I spent 10 minutes deciding what cake I'd like.

Then I went to the towel shop, and ended up slipping on to the floor. I remember I tried to pull myself up using the towels. But it was difficult. I suddenly felt like I was 10x my actual weight. I heard voices, mostly from Sonic the Hedgehog characters. They were debating about how to get up.

Eventually, I managed it. It was nighttime outside in the village. I went back into a large building that looked like it had been built into a tree, and had a look around. It was also a shop, it had a lot of clothes in it. I met Medic inside there again, and my family had moved inside there too.

I talked with Medic about what kind of t-shirt to get (and if he had seen Game of Thrones), when I woke up.

An ordinary sandwich, to contrast the Paldean sandwiches we've seen every now and again.

Y'all sure you don't want some of this back? If anything, I'm just grateful that y'all had tolerated my crap for so long! Especially if stuff like this is the payoff!

On a real note, though... Y'all aren't half bad. Thanks for this. ...And for not snitching about anything.
