Stitches
“Jackson Teller. Stab wounds to upper left thigh and lower left abdomen,” the nurse says as she passes you the chart.
Your eyes flick up to look at her, eyebrow arched, “As in, President of SAMCRO? Dr. Knowles’s ex? The friend I told last month that I didn’t want to see him in here again?”
She nods, watching as you open the chart and look through it. “One and the same.”
“I’ll go look at him. Stitches?”
“I would think so.”
You sigh and head towards the bed, staring down at the blonde man with a smug smirk on his face. “Do I wanna know how one of you has ended up in my E.R. once again, despite the fact I told you not to?”
Jax shakes his head, “Probably not.”
You hum, slipping the chart into its spot at the end of the bed and pulling gloves on. You sit on the wheely stool next to the bed and reach out to take off the impromptu dressing. It looks worse than it is, you put the dressing back over it and over to the thigh wound. “Well, it doesn’t look like it’s nicked any organs. Or caused permanent damage, apart from scarring. But I’ll get the nurse to book a CT scan just in case,” you slip the gloves off and stand up, “After that I’ll come and stitch you up, and you can go.”
He nods, “How long is that gonna take?”
“Couple hours depending on how busy the machine is.”
True to your word, Jax was ready to go just almost two hours later. “I want you back in two weeks so I can take your stitches out,” you say as you stand up.
“You got it, doc,” he salutes, standing up slowly, “But I’ll see you sooner. If not for one of the guys, the kids have check ups.”
“I’m well aware, Teller. Take care, I don’t want you in my E.R. again for a while.”
“Gettin’ sick of my face?”
You smile, signing something on the chart, “Who wouldn’t?”
“Ouch, doc. That hurt.”
“As much as that stab wound?”
He laughs softly, “Almost.”
“You are free to go,” you tuck the chart under your arm, “No strenuous activity-”
“No bike riding, no fights, I know,” he waves his hand dismissively.
“I mean it,” you say sharply, staring him down, “None of it.”
Jax salutes you as he walks towards Chibs, standing in the waiting room. The second the two are through the door, Tara is walking briskly towards you, “Why was Jax here?”
“Can’t tell you,” you say dryly, handing the chart back to the nurse, “Patient confidentiality and all.”
“He’s my husband,” her eyes narrow, hands in her pockets.
“Was. You two are divorced, Dr. Knowles. And even if you weren’t, he has to tell you. Not me,” the nurse smiles.
You turn and walk away, only for Tara to follow, “You like him.”
“Yes, Tara. That tends to happen in small towns. We were friends in school, have been since freshman year. Nothing more.”
“I’ll report you to the board.”
You spin, narrowing your eyes and tilting your head, “About me having a friendly relationship with Jax? One that we’ve had for 20 years? You slept with him whilst you were his son’s doctor. You formed a romantic relationship with a patient’s parent. The board will have much more to say about that. I’m only Abel and Thomas’s doctor until the new paed’s fellow gets here. Now, I’ve been here for twelve hours. I would like to clock out. Is that going to be an issue?”
“No. None at all.”
“Good.”
Well, work had been awkward. Tara was watching your every move, as she had done for the past month. You had even asked another doctor to handle removing Jax’s stitches so Tara didn’t try to start something. But, the new paediatrics fellow had arrived last week, and took over Abel and Thomas for the future. The past four weeks have been interesting. Tara’s friend, Margaret Murphy, from admin, had been on your tail for all of it.
As you have done every single Sunday since freshman year, you sat at Gemma Teller’s dinner table, Jax across from you, Thomas and Abel on either side. Gemma put a plate of food in front of you, followed by a beer, “You look stressed, baby.”
You shrug, picking up the bottle and drinking. “Long week.”
Jax tilts his head, “Care to share?”
“Nope.”
Abel giggles, playing with your hair, while Thomas babbles, chubby hands smacking onto his high chair tray. Clay slumps back in his chair, scoffing, “Dunno why you’re a doctor. Too pretty to be this tired and stressed all the time.”
After almost 20 years of dealing with Clay’s greasy smile and comments that made your skin crawl, they still made your stomach churn. Jax turns to look at him, “Clay. Knock it off.”
You pick at your food, avoiding Gemma’s gaze, “I haven’t seen you this stressed out since your board exams, honey. What’s goin’ on?”
You look over at Gemma, her eyes set on you. She wasn’t gonna give up. So you sigh, put your fork down, and slump in your chair, “Tara’s threatenin’ to report me to the board. So Margaret’s breathing down my neck with everything I do. Simply because I wouldn’t tell her why Jax was in the E.R. the other day. She’s all upset about us bein’ friends. But we’ve been friends for longer than I’ve been a doctor, so the board won’t do anything.”
“Are you fuckin’ kiddin’ me?!”
Abel jumps at the sound of his father’s raised voice. Gemma shoot’s Jax a look before looking back at you, “The board can’t do nothing, baby.”
“I know that. But I’d like to go to work without having someone watching my every move just ‘cos I fucked off that pretentious bitch,” you rub Abel’s back gently, “Eat your dinner, Abel.”
Jax put his beer down aggressively, “I’ll talk to her.”
You narrow your eyes, “You most absolutely will not.”
Gemma raises her hand at Jax, causing him to go quiet, “You could always go to one of the higher ups and report a hostile work environment.”
Jax pipes up again, “If that doesn’t work, I’m talkin’, don’t care what you say.”
“Jack-”
“Don’t Jackson me,” he snaps, “If that doesn’t work, I’ll talk to Tara. That’s it. No arguin’ with me,” you glare, “And wipe that look of your face or I’m doin’ it for you.”
You go silent, looking back at your food, “You’re an asshole.”
“That’s been well established, darlin’.”
You clocked out Tuesday night, only to find Jackson Nathaniel Teller standing in the waiting room. “What do you want, Teller?”
“Margaret and Tara won’t be botherin’ you anymore,” he holds his hand out, “Ma want’s you at the clubhouse.”
“I just worked 12 hours, Jackson,” but you take it, eyes blinking blearily.
“You can nap in my old dorm, and I’ll take you home after.”
He tugs, sending someone a smirk as you follow. You look over, hearing someone huff, Tara. Margaret stand’s next to her, looking over at Jax with wide eyes. “What did you do?”
“Exactly what I said I would. Now let’s go.”

Note
I’m gonna jump off the ask you just answered and ask you more of your favorite and least favorite seasons. Note; if you have watched the show just file under not watched. That 70’s Show, Bates Motel, Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead, The Originals.
That 70s Show
I’ve only watched the first two seasons.
Bates Motel
Favourite season: Season 4
I already loved Bates Motel before this season, but this is the season that really made me sit back and think, “god damn, this show is amazing”. Norman’s mental state hugely detoriates in this season and the complexities of that are explored brilliantly. The psychological reasons for Mother’s existence come to light in a very satisfying way. Norma and Romero’s romance is fresh and provides a nice reprieve from the constant doom and gloom. Norman being committed and Norma’s relationship with Romero provides conflict for their relationship. It’s interesting to see Norman try to come to terms with what he views as a betrayal from Norma by placing him in the psychiatric hospital. Likewise, Norman feels for the first time in his life that he’s not Norma’s priority and has to adapt to sharing her with another man. Norma and Norman’s relationship is crazy complex anyway, but this season takes it to a new level and I love it. The end of the season is mind-blowingly good. Norma’s death is unexpected, shocking and handled brilliantly resulting in a fantastically strong end to an otherwise amazing season.
Least favourite season: Season 5
It’s disappointing that after such a strong fourth season, the final season doesn’t deliver the quality that it could’ve. Overall, I find the season to be very slow paced and it handles a lot of things poorly. Despite Norma still being on the show, she’s there as Mother rather than Norma and therefore Norma’s absence is felt. Dylan and Emma’s relationship in this season is poorly written and does a disservice to both characters. Romero’s final arc is shoddily written and the final showdown between him and Norman is underwhelming. Despite a strong season finale, the season overall seems to lose its steam and direction. The intrigue surrounding Norman’s dual identity is no longer present in this season because it’s already been explained in season 4, the complex relationship of Norman and Norma which is the foundation of the show is gone because Norma’s dead, Dylan ceases to have any real purpose or arc and Romero’s actions frustrate the hell out of me.
Sons of Anarchy
Favourite season: Season 4
In terms of plot this is the strongest season. The stakes are high with the Cartel and Tara’s knowledge of Clay and Gemma’s history with JT puts her in danger, creating conflict between Clay and Jax, and Clay and Gemma. Clay and Jax’s dynamic is one of my favourites and this season takes that to the extremes. They start the season as a partnership, both determined to go to darker than ever before with the Carterl and coke dealing to earn big so that they can then both leave SAMRCO and move on. However, the events of the season result in them becoming enemies and Jax stepping up to the plate and taking the gavel. Jax’s arc in this season is amazing and really delves into the inner turmoil he feels as he tries to straddle two worlds of being VP of a criminal gang and a father and husband. Juice’s arc in this season is emotional and compelling. We also finally get a pay-off for Donna and Piney’s deaths as Opie explodes and shoots Clay in one of the most dramatic endings to an episode in the history of the series. I love this season because the central plot and sub-plots are all carefully crafted and executed well; the characters all have amazing arcs and the plots create conflict and play amazingly into the different dynamics that exist between the characters.
Least favourite season: Season 7
There’s not much to say about this season other than I find it very slow. It’s not the first season of SOA that has pacing issues, but because it’s the final season it really suffers for it. The reveal that Gemma killed Tara takes too long to come about and I find it hard to believe that Jax is really that naive that he has no clue that Gemma could somehow be involved. A lot of the important relationships on the show are sidelined and it feels like Jax and Chibs are the only two from SAMCRO that actually have any kind of friendship. The season also suffers from the loss of strong characters like Clay and Tara.
The Walking Dead
Favourite season: Season 2
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I love season 2. The fact that the season is only 13 episodes probably plays into this because I think TWD works much better the less episodes it has. It’s an understated season that isn’t in your face like the later seasons but has a cohesive plot running throughout and is very focused. There’s drama with Sophia’s disappearance and Carl’s shooting, both of which show how high the stakes are since the only two children in the group are both thrown into mortal danger. I’m a huge fan of Rick and Lori, so seeing them navigate their relationship in this season is interesting, particularly after Lori discovers she’s pregnant. The Glenn and Maggie romance is sweet and is a nice break from the darkness of the show. Hershel keeping a barn full of walkers is a good twist that poses questions about what the walkers are. Up until that point the position on walkers has been clear: they’re abhorrent animals that are devoid of human emotion and reasoning and need to be killed. But Hershel’s humanist perspective fuelled by his faith provides a contrast to that and the questions he asks about the possibility of a cure being found in the future is reasonable. The scene where Sophia steps out of the barn is one of the most memorable scenes in the show and takes the show to new levels, showing that TWD is not afraid to go to extremes and defy expectations. We see the first interaction that the group has with outsiders and that introduces us to the danger that humans pose, which is a perfect set up for the seasons to follow. Rick is pushed to new places in this season with Carl being shot and having to kill Sophia and Shane. This is the start of him changing into the hardened, ruthless leader he later becomes. And of course there’s Shane who is one of my favourite characters. Seeing his descent in this season alone is enough to land it at the top of my favourite seasons. It’s handled brilliantly and I love watching every single second of it. Shane is a complex character who deep down is definitley not a bad guy but that is changed by the new world and pushed to the extremes by certain situations he finds himself in. The end of the season is brilliant with the farmhouse burning to the ground, Rick killing Shane in a violent face-off, Shane turning and revealing the big secret that everyone is infected, Carl putting Shane down once and for all and Rick’s ending speech. It sets the presedence for what’s to come and it’s a fantastic season.
Least favourite season (note that I stopped watching after season 8): Season 8
The show had been declining long before season 8, but season 8 is where I decided to finally draw the line. The Negan plot was drained within an inch of its life, the group spends most of the season split up, everything that happens is a complete rehash of season 3 and 4 with the Governor but a poorer version, all character development is cast aside and the show commits suicide when it kills Carl off. Carl’s death alone is enough for me to rate this as my least favourite season, because that’s the point at which there was no return for me. To kill off Carl, who has been on the show from the beginning, who the audience have watched grow from a little boy to a young man, who is the future, whose relationship with Rick is the very foundation and heart upon which the show is built, was unforgivable. It just reaffirmed for me that this once great show was no longer worth my time.
The Originals
Favourite season: Season 2
I’m not very confident in this decision, because there’s not one particular season of TO that stands out to me as being the best. I’m generally not a very big fan of the show and find every season to have its good and bad parts. However, season 2 is when we meet Freya and learn so much more about the Mikaelsons through flashbacks; old characters like Esther, Mikael, Kol and Finn are brought back which adds layers to the complicated family history; Dahlia is a great villain; Hayley has a decent sub-plot and I like her dynamic with Jackson and Hope brings an innocence to the show without stealing too much focus.
Least favourite season: Season 5
Season 4 was bad, but season 5 was awful. I can barely remember anything about it, it was so terrible. All I know is that Hayley was cruelly and unfairly killed which was a huge disservice to her character and the finale was one of the worst finale’s of any show I’ve ever seen. By making the whole show about Klaus and Elijah, it completely lost everything that made it great. The Originals was never supposed to be just about Klaus or just about the sibling relationship between Klaus and Elijah, it was supposed to be about the Mikaelsons. It will always frustrate me that a show that had so much promise and emphasis on family ended so poorly.
Thanks for asking, lovely! These asks are fun to answer :)

Since the day Susan had shown up unexpectedly at the clubhouse, things hadn't been easy. Angel was constantly on guard and the feeling of being followed had reappeared. There had been one or two times over the past few months that Angel felt someone was following her, especially when she had one of the children with her. Just like the last time, Angel refused to tell anyone in the club. She figured it was her paranoia since Susan had reappeared in her life. Angel told Edward and he had suggested she tell her dad, but she just waved him off. It would do no good at this point in time.
Since Susan’s reappearance, Bobby seemed to become more overprotective and demanding to know where Angel was going and who she was going to be with. Angel tried her best not to lie to her father but she knew if she actually told him who she was seeing, he’d want to meet him. Then all the guys would want to meet him and they’d run Edward off. Angel wanted to keep this part of her life for herself. Angel realized that when she was with David, she shared that part of her life too much with her family and tried to force David into that. It was one of the reasons for the breakup after all. No, Angel would keep her life with Edward for herself. It had been almost a year since they started and she had managed to keep his identity secret so far.
Edward would be leaving soon for the military and Angel would no longer have to continue lying to everyone. Thankfully she had been able to get Jessica and Donna to help cover for her. Jessica and Edward lived close to one another so Angel was always “hanging out at Jessica’s”. Donna was always trying her best to distract the guys from the fact that Angel was sneaking around.
---------------- --------------- -------------
Angel arrived at the clubhouse with her arms full of bags of food for the mechanics and Gemma. She knew she had been distant lately as she spent more time with Edward and this was her way of making up for it. As she set the food down on the picnic tables, she caught the sight of Bambi storming into Gemma’s office and slamming the door. Bambi was 14 and very much a mixture of Happy and Tig, personality wise. She was more like Tig in regards to her emotions, she was guided by her feelings but she was smart about not letting them overwhelm her. Angel looked around the lot and toward the clubhouse. She knew she needed to check with Bambi before anything.
“Hey guys! I brought lunch. Help yourselves and don’t forget to clean up!” Angel shouted and waved at all the mechanics, who cheered as they walked over to the food.
“Thank ya lass. What’s the occasion?” Chibs was the first to the table and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. Angel just smiled and shrugged before returning the hug. “Just missed you guys. Now eat up! I’m going to take some to Gemma.”
Angel grabbed enough food for Gemma and Bambi before making her way over to the office. She stood outside the door briefly and heard sniffling. Giving a small knock, Angel waited until the door was opened. “Hey you two, brought some food.”
Gemma stepped back and let Angel in the door before closing and locking it once more. Taking the food from Angel, she set it on her desk and went back to sitting with Bambi.
“What’s going on? Bambs, what’s wrong sweetie?” Angel knelt down in front of her sister and started to wipe the tears away. Bambi looked at Angel and clenched her jaw, “T-t-they’re fighting again and won’t stop screaming!”
“Who’s fighting, Bambi?”
“Uncle Kozzy! Dad! They just keep yelling and they won’t stop. I ask what’s wrong and I’m told it’s none of my business! And now Uncle Kozzy is…” Bambi stopped mid sentence and took a deep breath. “He’s leaving! He’s transferring charters and he’s leaving!”
Angel sat back on her heels and stared at Bambi. Kozik and Tig were best friends and rarely argued. “I’ll figure out what’s going on ok? Stay here, eat some food. I baked you and Gemma some cupcakes, just for you two. I’ll see what I can find out.”
Gemma leaned against the desk with her arms crossed over her chest as she watched the two interact. Over the past few years Gemma had felt Angel slipping away from them. She had watched as the girl she considered her daughter was no longer wanting to associate with the SAMRCO family and, although Gemma refused to admit it, knowing Angel was pulling away hurt. She had felt that pull even more when David was around Angel. She had caught multiple conversations about getting out of Charming together and getting far from the club.
Gemma eyed Angel carefully. “So what’s your plan then?”
Angel looked up at Gemma and shrugged. “I’m just going to see what I can find out. Or at least get one of them to calm down enough to tell me.”
---------------- --------------- -------------
Angel made her way over to the clubhouse, where she could hear the yelling once she opened the door. She closed the door quietly behind her and stood there with her arms crossed. Tig and Kozik were yelling at each other in the middle of the room with others trying to keep them apart.
“What the hell guys!” Angel stood with her hands on her hips as she glared at the two. “Either of you care to explain why my little sister is pissed off at you two and hiding in Gemma’s office? Or why she says Koz is leavin?”
Tig held out his hand to silence Angel and shook his head. “Not your issue. This is between us. You ain’t part of this club. Go outside until this is over.”
Angel narrowed her eyes at Tig but stood her ground. “It’'s my issue when my little sis-"
“She is not your sister and I said this doesn't concern you, Angel! She is my daughter and I will deal with her later! Now get out!”
Angel stood shocked. Never had Tig spoken to her like that. The others stood in silence as Kozik took a step in front of Angel and pointed jabbed his finger in Tig’s chest.
“Don’t fucking raise your voice to her prick! Just because you’re incapable of seeing shit for how it is...at least SHE IS worried about Bambi. There ain’t nothing else we need to talk about here.”
Kozik put his hand on Angel’s shoulder and guided her out of the clubhouse. “Want to take a ride with me? I need to get away from here for a bit?” Kozik didn’t give Angel a real chance to respond as he continued to guide her toward his bike and handed over his helmet. Angel knew that if she wanted answers that she would just have to go with him. Quickly she pulled on the helmet and climbed on the back of his bike.
Angel held on tightly to Kozik as he drove out of Charming. The feeling of being on the back of the bike was something Angel missed. As they drove, she closed her eyes and thought back to all the times she had been on the back of her father’s bike. Since Bobby’s last release from prison, Angel realized they had not taken a drive together. The last time Angel was on the back of a bike was the day Clay had taken her for a drive.
Angel wasn’t sure how long they had really ridden for and she refused to complain. It was comforting to be on the back of the bike. Soon Kozik stopped driving and tapped her hands with a chuckle. Angel mumbled an apology and let go. She hadn’t realized she had wrapped her arms so tightly around him.
“Hey thanks for coming out here with me. I’m sorry he was such an ass.”
Angel got off the bike and waved her hand dismissively. “Meh, it was bound to happen one day. Wasn’t the first time I’ve been yelled at to stay out “club business”, won’t be the last. Want to tell me what all the fighting was about though?”
Kozik smiled and threw an arm around her shoulder and guided her away from the bike. Angel finally took in the area and smiled. They were at a park that sat right off the water. “Nice try kiddo. Look, I’m gonna be leaving soon. I’m transferring up to Tacoma. I want you to stay safe down here. Things with the club are...strained right now. Take care of Bambi too.”
The two sat in silence for a while before Angel finally spoke up. “Hey, remember how a while back there was that incident...the one where I thought I was being followed?”
“Yeah...Angel, how long?”
“About 6 months now, maybe longer. Since the double-mint-devils appeared in my life again.”
“Shit. Why haven’t you told anyone?”
“I”m telling you now.” She grinned at him.
Kozik laughed and shook his head before throwing his arm around her again and pulling her close. He pressed his lips to the side of her head, “You’re such a little shit, I hope you know that.”
---------------- --------------- -------------
Sitting at the dining room table, Angel stared at the different packets in front of her. She and Edward had talked about her going off to school and he actively encouraged her to start looking at wherever SHE wanted to go. “Why go where people want you to? Go where you want! You want to go to Alaska, fuckin go to school in Alaska! You want to stay close to home, stay close to home. It’s your choice babe, it’s your life and your choices.” In front of here were four different schools she had been accepted to. She could stay closer to home and go to school in San Francisco, as that wasn’t too far from home. Then there were schools in Arizona like she and David had planned. Then Washington and finally, Colorado.
Angel finally settled and knew where she would be going, now all she needed was to talk to Bobby and Precious about her decision. She knew that Precious would support her no matter what she decided. She was currently the only other person that knew Angel was looking to go to college.
“Tacoma? Seriously? What the hell do you want to school there for? Who the fuck talked you into this?”
“Dad, cmon. I need to do something with my life! The past year all I did was work and try to get over David! This is for ME, no one else. I have enough saved up to pay for most of it myself. It's either this or Arizona. And I know you haven't been ok with me going near those charters since our last visit when you punched a guy in the face for grabbing my ass.”
Bobby got up and pushed his chair roughly away before leaving the room. “Go wherever the hell you want,” he mumbled on the way out.
Angel remained seated in the chair. She gripped the acceptance letters and bit at her lip, trying not to let tears spill. She had prepared herself for him having a bad reaction but she did not expect him to walk away from her.
Precious stood up and walked around the table, wrapping her arms around Angel. “It’s ok baby girl. Ignore mr. grumpy. This is for you to better yourself. You want to go to Tacoma, Tiki and I will drive you up there ourselves. I am so proud of you Angel, you worked hard and you are going to be the first Munson to go to college! Hell you’re gonna be the first Samcro baby to go to college!”
Angel wrapped her arms around Precious’s middle and sniffled. “Why is he such an ass lately? I thought he would actually be proud of me for this.”
“Like I said, ignore him. Now that you’ve decided on where you’re going. We need to find you a place of your own. Your dad will come around and you know he’ll want you near the club as much as you can be. We have some time before school starts. Let’s not worry about his attitude and just enjoy getting you ready for your new adventure.”
---------------- --------------- -------------
Angel curled on the sofa next to Edward. A random horror movie was playing but Angel paid very little attention to it. Kozik had been gone over a month and things at the club hadn't felt right. Bambi glared at Tig more often than not and Angel knew there was something else going on. When she had announced her plans to go to college out of state, all but Piney, Opie, Chibs, and Jax walked away from her. Even Gemma seemed more distant. Luanne had been sad at first but she was nothing but supportive for Angel getting out of Charming.
“Hey you ok babe?” Edward kissed at her shoulder and wrapped his arms around her tighter. Angel glanced up at him and snuggled into his arms more, giving him a small nod. “Yea just thinking about things. I told my family about wanting to go to school. They haven’t taken it so well. The only people who are even a bit supportive of me are you, my mom, and my brothers. I Don’t know if I can go through with this. And then there’s us, ya know...There’s just a lot on my mind right now”
“What do you mean?”
“Like, I have no idea what we are. We’ve spent a lot of time together this past year and I like being around you. But I’m not sure what we really are or what is going to come of us.” Angel played with the hem of her shirt and refused to meet his eyes. She wasn't sure why she had brought this up, they were supposed to be enjoying the little while they had left together.
“Hey now, you have become one of my greatest friends and I do like you a lot Angel. I’m not sure what we are and I know we’ll be going different ways soon. I can say that you are the only one I’ve been with since we started whatev...well whatever it is that we have.” Edward leaned back on the couch and pulled Angel to straddle his lap, “I’ve only wanted you. C'mon, we've been inseparable for a year, I love you in so many ways. Until we go our separate ways, I will do anything you ask of me, babe.”
Angel wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed against his body. “I like and love you a lot too Eddie. I’m going to miss you when you leave.”
“I’m going to miss you too. But we’re gonna write to each other and when if I'm in your neck of the woods, well I'm staying at your place and eating your food. You ain’t getting rid of me that easy babe. I’ll be back before you know it. And I’m sure you’ll find some lucky bastard to call your own while I’m away. Let’s just enjoy our time together.”
Eddie pulled her completely onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her middle. He pulled at the collar of her top and attached his lips to the side of her neck. Angel gripped the back of his shirt and bit her lip, trying to hold in a moan. “No teasing tonight Eddie,” she whimpered as he began to grind herself against his lap.
Eddie chuckled against her skin and continued to nibble and scrape his teeth against her sensitive skin. “But that’s where all the fun starts.”
---------------- --------------- -------------
Angel sat in her bedroom, surrounded by half filled boxes and her luggage with clothes just thrown in. It was a week before she would be leaving off to Tacoma and she wasn’t prepared. Despite the arguing and trying to convince Angel to stay close, Bobby had relented and actually took Angel up to find her own place near the college. They had managed to find her a studio apartment that was near the campus but close enough to the SAMTAC clubhouse. Angel knew she would be spending a lot of time there when she wasn’t studying and Bobby had promised to bring Precious and Robbie up to visit as much as possible.
Angel was glad that Edward had left before her. She couldn’t deal with leaving to Washington before him and not being able to see him off. Edward has left for basic two weeks ago. He gave Angel the information as to where she could write to him and she promised to send him a letter as soon as she was moved into her new apartment. Angel continued to pack her belongs and let her mind wander between what she needed and resisting the urge to cry when she thought of Eddie. She grabbed at a shirt and smiled. It was one that Eddie had given her. Angel had been wearing it to bed for some time now.
Precious leaned against the door and watched Angel move around the room. She watched her for a while with a fond smile on her face. They had come a long way in the past years and had grown closer. Despite her and Bobby slowly growing apart, Precious knew that Angel would always have a place in her heart. “Knock. Knock. How’s the packing going? Need anything?”
Angel looked up and smiled, setting the shirt in the nearest box. “Hey, I’m good. Just trying to figure out what I need. I mean, do I take everything, most things? Is this even the right thing for me to do?”
Precious made her way over and sat on the bed next to Angel. “This is 100% the right thing for you to do. Do not let yourself be stifled and held down because you’re not sure the men could live without you here. You’re only going to be in Tacoma. They go up there so often that their excuses for being angry are bullshit. This is your life. Not mine, not your father’s. As for what you take, that’s up to you. This is your apartment. Whatever you need once we’re there, well we’ll go out and get it for you.”
Angel smiled and wrapped her arms around the woman, squeezing her tightly. “Thank you Mom.”
---------------- --------------- -------------
Angel sat backward on the chair, her chest pressed against the cushion back. Bobby sat in front of her and stroked the back of her hands. Angel took a deep, shuddering breath when she heard the machine turn on. “It's ok baby. Happy is gonna be as gentle as possible. Deep, even breaths. Don't think of it.” her father's voice was reassuring.
“I got ya little girl. This won't take too long, let your pop know if it's too much and I'll stop.”
Angel could hear the words of encouragement from her brothers and uncles. Angel tensed as the needle hit first broke the skin. There was no going back after this. Angel kept her eyes closed and squeezed at her father's hands again. She could hear Clay's deep chuckle close by. This was probably a sight to see. Angel had her hair pushed over her face to expose her neck, she was clutching bobby's hands tightly, she had a stuffed animal between herself and the chair and was large enough that she could reach and bite it, oh and she was in her lime green pajamas and surrounded by men in biker vests in the middle of the clubhouse, getting her first tattoo.
It didn't take long for Angel to get used to the needles pricking her skin. It still hurt but she did what she could to not make much noise or move. Happy could sense when Angel wanted to flinch and removed the gun to give her a chance to move. It didn’t take much longer for Happy to finish. Angel stayed seated in her chair and waited for everyone to come over and look at the fresh ink on her skin. Bambi was the last over and looked over the tattoo critically. The young girl pressed the surrounding skin and smirked when Angel jumped.
“Damnit Bambi!” Angel spun her head to glare at her little sister and cringed at the pain. Bambi stood there with a smirk on her face and gave a nod of approval. “Looks good.”
---------------- --------------- -------------
It was finally time. The cars were packed and the house was packed with people coming to see Angel off to Tacoma. Donna held Angel tight, whispering how she would do her best to bring Ellie up often to see her before letting go and wiping her tears away. Everybody wrapped their arms around Angel and bid her farewell. The last two were Gemma and Luanne.
Luann quickly and wrapped Angel in her arms. “I’m going to miss you, baby. You stay safe, you hear me? You need anything, I’m one call away and I will be up there for whatever you need. I love you, my sweet girl”
Angel held onto her aunt tightly and sniffled back her tears. “I love you too. I promise to keep in touch. I’m going to miss you so much.”
Gemma cleared her throat and shooed away Luanne before opening her arms. Angel reluctantly let go of Luanne and made her way into Gemma’s arms. Gemma held her tightly and rocked her back and forth. “Shit, my little girl is all grown up and flying away from the nest. I wasn’t ready for this day.”
Angel chuckled and relaxed into the embrace. “Don’t worry Ma, it won’t be for long. I’ll be back before you know it. And it’s only Tacoma. You know they’ll look after me. If not, I’ll kick their asses.”
“Gemma chuckled and pressed a kiss to her forehead. “That’s my girl. You keep those men in line. Don’t let them give you shit. You are as important to the club as Opie and Jax. They better treat you right.”
Once everyone had bid Angel a goodbye and the cars were packed, the Munson family was on the road. Angel and Precious each drove their own car as Bobby followed behind on his bike. They reached Tacoma before the end of the day and settled into the clubhouse for the night. Angel had snagged little Robbie and they went to share a room for the night. He was one of the people that Angel would miss the most. Angel snuggled her baby brother close and, despite the loud music and noise coming from outside the room, the two passed out quickly.
By early morning, everyone was awake and the Munsons were on the way to Angel’s new apartment. It didn’t take long for them to unload everything that Angel had packed. Precious had insisted on buying most of her apartment stuff in Charming, “so she has things from home!” and there was little that they needed to actually get for her.
Precious, Bobby, and Robbie spent the rest of the week with Angel as she settled into her new home. By the end of their time together, Angel had already checked into school, had orientation, bought all her books, signed up for some clubs, and was ready for her parents to leave and enjoy her new freedom. Bobby was reluctant to leave his only daughter. He knew things had been rough between the two, but he knew that this was something she was determined to do and he needed to support her. With promises that she would call weekly and that Bobby would come up to visit once in a while, Angel was finally free to enjoy her new apartment.
---------------- --------------- -------------
The semester seemed to go by quickly for Angel. In the short time she was in Tacoma, she had already found a part time job at one of the local cafes working the register and had signed up for various clubs. She had met many other students who lived in the same complex as her and they all met up weekly to hang out and work on any school projects. Then there was Johnny, who was becoming one of Angel’s closet friend.
The two met through mutual acquaintances and realized they had a few classes together. Angel was glad to be in Tacoma, where her last name didn’t bring the realization that she was a daughter of a Son. In Tacoma, she was just Angel - the girl who spent way too much time carrying her guitar around and with crumbs in her sweater. Angel and Johnny spent a lot of time together once they realized how close they lived to one another and that they both played instruments. Along with two other friends, the four thought it would be fun to start their own “band”.
Angel had kept her promise and called Precious and Bobby weekly. Angel had even found the time to call Gemma and Luanne, keeping them updated on what was going on in her life. Angel didn’t mind having to make the phone calls so much. It was her reminder to check her mail box, always with high hopes that she would have a letter.
The campus and surrounding areas was abuzz with student activity. Homecoming weekend was here and everyone celebrating. Nothing official was scheduled until the following day but that didn’t stop every bar, club, and business from opening their doors to the visitors. Angel pulled the mail from her box and laughed as Johnny twirled and danced behind her. The two had just got back from a small party at a local club and Johnny was hyped up from all the music. “Come on Angel! I need to MOVE! Ahh, that band was amazing! We should do that ya know. I think with some more work, our band could totally do that shit!”
Grabbing at his jacket, Angel leaned against Johnny with a large smile on her face. “He wrote back,” she waved the letter and squealed before jumping around happily.
“He? Ohhh lover boy has finally written his fair maiden? Come on, open it!”
“Let’s get inside first, idiot. It’s cold and I am not in cold-fighting apparel!”
As the two curled on her bed, Angel slowly opened the letter and read it out.
HELLO BEAUTIFUL!
So I finally got the letter you sent. Glad you’re all settled in nicely. Things here are...well they are what they are. I’ve had my ass behind handed to me more times than I can count. Thanks for the picture of us. I’m keeping that close to my heart. Mostly because these idiots don’t believe I have a smokin hot babe back home. Well not so much home anymore, are you?
How’s the school life treating you? Exploring your options yet? I hope no one is giving you a hard time. I know your dad was being a shit about you leaving for school but I’m proud of you! You’re off on your own, making new memories, new friends...just don’t replace me!
Ok I warned you I was horrible at writing these type of things. There’s not much happening here. Lots of getting yelled at, horrible food, and being up at ungodly times. The lack of privacy here is frustrating. Shit, What I wouldn’t give to be in bed with you by my side again. Ok, nope! Won’t go down that path. It won’t be too long before we see each other again. Maybe I’ll be able to come visit your new place.
Holding the letter to her chest, Angel couldn’t help but smile wide. Johnny laughed at her antics and snuggled close to her. “So think lover boy will come visit you? You gonna tell him that you have replaced him with a devilishly tall and handsome brunette? He may have your love in bed but I have your love in music!”
Johnny and Angel laughed he rambled on. The two were becoming quickly inseparable and it was something Angel thoroughly enjoyed. She finally had a friend who would do whatever she wanted and didn’t expect anything but her company in return. “Yea, I’ll tell him all about you the next time I write him. Now go to sleep jerkface! And don’t hog my blankets! Tomorrow is…”
“HOMECOMING!” The two laughed together as they heard shouts from their neighbors to quiet down.

Part One
Part Two
Jax was pissed off at me, I could tell. Whenever Juice pulled the van into Teller-Morrow parking lot and we all filed out, I tried to help Jax inside but he shrugged me off. Everyone else was staring at me like I had lobsters pouring out of my ears; like I was the freak kid at school all the other kids thought I was.
“Chapel,” Clay said, as we all got inside the Clubhouse. “Now.”
Jax headed towards the room, but I caught his arm. “Let go of me, Y/N,” he said, trying to jerk his arm out of my grip.
“You’re hurt, Jax,” I whispered. “Let me patch you up.”
He looked at his stepdad and Clay nodded his head. Jax shook loose from me and walked over to a table, plopping down in a chair. The lights were still out, so I flipped them on and searched around for the first aid kit. I found it under the bar and went back to Jax.
When I sat down beside him, he looked the other way.
“You can be mad at me all you want,” I said, opening up the white box, “but I saved you fucking life. I told you not to go. You need to take off your jacket, cut, and shirt.”
Jax didn’t look at me when he removed his clothes. I saw that the scratch mark on his shoulder wasn’t that deep like I had thought it was. I pressed an alcohol soaked cotton square against the scratch and Jax hissed.
“What the hell was that thing?” Jax asked. “And how did she know your last name?”
I sighed and got the gauze roll and tape out. “Because,” I started. “My life isn’t what you think it is, Jax. My family – my dad, my brothers, and me – we hunt monsters.”
Jax snapped his head towards me. “What the fuck are you talking about? Monsters aren’t real.”
“What do you think that thing was then, Jax? She was a werewolf! And you’re lucky she just scratched you instead of sinking her teeth in you because…” I trailed off. Because Jax would have turned.
“Because what?” he asked.
“Nothing,” I mumbled, wrapping the gauze roll around his shoulder. “I’ve been hunting my entire life. You have SAMCRO blood running through your veins, well I have hunter blood. I’ve been using a gun since I was seven years old.
Jax jerked away from me when I finished patching him up. He stood up and put his white t and leather cut back on. “Jax, c’mon, I’m telling you the truth,” I whispered. I walked closer to him but he took a step forward before turning around.
“None of this makes any fucking sense!” Jax fumed. “You lied to me. You lied to me about your life. I can’t believe you would do that to me.”
“I did it to protect you, Jackson,” I said, tears forming in my eyes. “To protect you and Abel from the life I had and the monsters out there that know me and my family. If I went around saying that I was a hunter and that my dad was John Winchester, do you know how dangerous that would have been for us? Very.”
“Bullshit,” Jax spat.
I huffed. “But me trying to protect you from everything I’ve seen is wrong? Yet, you don’t care about how much of an impact you being in SAMCRO has on Abel. Half the time he doesn’t know where you are. And the other half he thinks you’re never come home again. I know that life, Jax, I lost my mom when I was a baby. And now Sons is dealing drugs and making sure motherfucking porn stars are kept safe. That’s the bullshit.”
The tears were sliding down my cheeks as Jax crossing his arms over his chest. He puffed out his chest but didn’t say anything.
“And I don’t give a shit if you don’t believe me. There are werewolves in Charming and when Dean and Sam get here, we’re going to hunt them down and kill them all.”
I waited outside for my brothers to show up. It had been over an hour since Jax and I had our fight and he wouldn’t look at me. After I told him I was going to kill the werewolves, Chibs opened the Chapel door and called Jax inside.
When their meeting was done, I was outside and watched Jax walk over to the Teller-Morrow building, not looking at me but looking head on.
I heard the familiar rumble of the impala pull into the Teller-Morrow parking lot and I instantly felt better. Dean and Sam, my lovely, wonderful, pain in the ass brothers, were here and everything felt like it did before I left them. Dean turned off the car and him and Sam climbed out, walking over to me.
“Are you okay?” Sam asked me.
I wiped my eyes; they must have been red from crying earlier. I nodded my head. “Listen, there’s a pack here in Charming. I’m not sure where they are located, but they aren’t far away from the warehouse that SAMCRO uses.”
“And SAMRCO is...?” Dean asked me.
“Sorry,” I chuckled softly, “I forgot that you two don’t know about them. It means Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original. Or Sons for short.”
“You hang out with a motorcycle club?” Dean asked me.
“Don’t interrogate me, Dean,” I said, standing up from my spot on the ground. “Jax’s dad started it. And when he died when Jax was little, Jax’s stepdad, Clay, it took over. He grew up it in. But anyways, there’s a warehouse off the main road going north. I’ll catch you all up on the drive over there.”
I walked over to the van that Juice brought us back in and opened up the side door. I climbed into the back and grabbed my gun. I left it in there because I knew it would open more cans of worms with Jax. I hopped back out and checked the barrel. Only a few more silver bullets left.
“C’mon,” I said, walking over to the impala. “Let’s go.”
“Now?” Sam asked. “Don’t you want to tell them or something.”
“I tried telling Jax earlier. He thinks I’m lying. Let’s just go.”
Jax’s point of view
I watched the black impala with Y/N and her brothers pull out of the parking lot and turn right. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. There’s no way that she was telling the truth a few hours ago. I glanced down at my watch and saw that it was almost four in the morning.
I hauled my ass back into the Clubhouse and down the hall to my apartment. Abel was curled up in my bed asleep. I crawled into bed with him and he rolled towards me, nothing opening his eyes when asking, “Momma?”
“No, buddy,” I whispered, pulling up the covers on him. “Momma will be back though.”
Abel nodded sleepily.
I rolled over onto my back and stared up at the ceiling. She was lying to be about what that girl was. Y/N has already lied to me about her past, why wouldn’t she just make up a story to go with her reasoning to kill that girl. But that girl didn’t move like any normal human, the way she jumped completely over Opie. And that scratch on my shoulder… it still stung… and that wasn’t from a human either.
There was a knock on my door and I bolted straight up. Abel wasn’t in bed with me anymore. I stretched, got out of bed, and walked over to the door. Opening it up, I saw Opie leaning against the frame. “Y/N’s brothers are here, they want to talk to you.”
“Why?” I asked, grabbing my leather cut and pulling it on.
Opie sighed. “They can’t find Y/N.”
“What?” I rushed down the hall from him to find Sam and Dean leaning against the bar. “What do you mean you can’t find her? I saw her go with you?”
“We think the pack got her,” Sam said.
“What the fuck do you mean think?” I asked him, stalking over to him.
“Jackie Boy, calm down,” Chibs whispered when he laid a hand on my shoulder.
“Werewolves are Y/N’s favorite to hunt,” explained Dean. “Ever since she was little, and especially since one scratched her a few years ago on the leg. She has a personal vendetta against them. Did Y/N get a little too excited when she killed that one?”
“Yeah,” I nodded my head. “She didn’t seem like herself.”
“Damnit,” Sam said, running a hand through his hair.
“That girl knew who she was,” Juice said from behind me. “Said if she knew a Winchester was here, she would have brought her pack.”
“We think the pack may know more about us and your… club...” Dean said, “than they normally would. Sam show them those pictures.”
Sam had a laptop bag at his feet and opened it up, pulling out a file folder. “Follow me,” I said, leading them into the Chapel. Dean whistled while I opened the door for them, looking around and laying eyes on the table.
“You all really love yourselves to have that carved into the table,” he said.
Sam rolled his eyes and laid down the file folder. He opened it up and laid out several different pictures of people. “This,” he said, “is the werewolf that Y/N killed last night. These are the three that Dean and I killed down in Pinehurst.”
“Holy shit,” Clay said, pushing himself between me and Sam. “That’s Romeo Parada’s old lady,” pointing to the picture of an older female from Pinehurst.
“Why would Galindo’s right-hand man’s lady be mixed up in this?” I asked him.
“What the hell are you two talking about?” Dean asked us.
“The Galindo is another club we’re investing in,” I said, choosing my words wisely in front of Clay. “And that is Parada’s old lady-“
“His what?” Sam asked.
“Old lady, you idiots,” Clay said. “It’s a term of endearment towards a club members wife or girlfriend.”
“How big is this club you’re talking about?”
“Over a hundred members.”
“See!” Sam said, “I told you that it was probably a bigger pack!”
Dean rolled his eyes.
“Are you telling us that the Galindo aren’t human?” I asked them.
“That’s exactly what we’re saying there, Blondie,” Dean said, clapping his hands. “Alright, we’ve got work to do.”
