You know what? I bet like half of Ketterdam thought Kaz and Inej were a thing pre-Six of Crows. They spend 90% of their time just bickering at each other and hanging out, in a place where Kaz doesn’t allow people to argue with him and where Inej doesn’t really hang out with the gang, so I bet that raises some rumors inside the Dregs if nothing else. But then like?? Pekka has that line in CK about ‘Brekker and his Wraith queen’ and he hasn’t even interacted with the two of them since before the Ice Court? That’s gotta indicate that at least some people in Ketterdam took one look at Kaz and Inej on like a job somewhere or in a fight and had the hard read in saying “these bitches are in love.” Can you imagine being a gang member for like, the Razorgulls or something, and you see Kaz talking to himself in the street and Inej emerges from the shadows, and you’re just like ‘aw shit that fucked-up lieutenant for Haskell’s back at it again with his creepy weird shadow girlfriend’ LIKEEE
