Imagine you've grown up on a spacestation. It's a major port, several times larger then most terrestrial cities. You've gotten to meet people, from all around the known universe, cultures with diffrent gods, diffrent tongues, diffrent systems of government, even some that aren't even fully human anymore through genetic engineering and adaptation.

And for your entire life you've heard about planets. Most media, from the strangest fantasy stories, to the most mundane dramas, take place on planets and assume to viewer lived most of their life on a planet. And most of the you talk to are from planets too, even those that have made their home on the station still grew up on planets, or have family they visit on planets. But you don't really have any personal frame of reference for what a planet is even like. Once or twice you've been on a ship or visited a nearby station, but you've never actually been too a planet.

You don't think of things the way terrestrial people do. You don't think of things as being inside or outside, just in diffrent rooms. You don't think of places as being flat, but as having layers of floors. You don't even have a full idea of what being "outside" would be like.

And one day, long after you've become an adult, you actually visit a planet. Everyone you know kind of expects you to be in awe of the beauty of an open sky, to finally enjoy the feeling of fresh air. But to you, you feel nothing. It's chaotic and confusing, you don't know how to get anywhere, you can't navigate places this open. When you see an open field it scares you, like open space brought into a station's walls. Everything feels so big and crowded and so small and empty at the same time. You barely leave your hotel room the entire trip.

People are supposed to exist on the ground. But you adapted to something else. That's what humans do after all, adapt to things.

Crediting culture in the utmv fandom - genuine questions

with nightwatch releasing soon I realized a issue with crediting, im not too sure what’s the right way to do it? For background information nightwatch is an AU where basically all universes interact and intersect (in the same way underverse does). But this brought up a few questions for me.

1) at what point is a character so fully removed from their original material that it needs crediting? (I change their names, design, backstory, and keep very minimal elements of their original representation)

2) should I credit creators that are problematic and go against my boundaries? I’ve taken their characters and did what I wrote in question 1, but there’s alot of aus I use with creators I genuinely disagree with. What do I do then?

3) with it being an au where there’s so many interactions of other aus (genuinely cities full of diffrent aus, court rooms, hospitals, etc) if i were to just credit every single character I’d need a separate document for that. Should I do that and indiscriminately credit everyone?

2 is probably my most controversial question, I might just credit the creators regardless because I don’t want my story to get wrapped up in outside drama- but it still makes me uncomfortable linking people back to them. Hope I’m not coming off as an asshole I just don’t know what to do without getting people upset. Should I just not credit at all? I don’t know I’d like to hear your thoughts

My First Thoughts on Life is Strange: Double Exposure

(these are my opinions from the 1st Trailer, Reveal Stream, and clips they've posted)

1. The Style Swap:

I personally prefer the original, less realistic, style to the game. I think it sets Life is Strange apart and makes it look more unique than other games. I understand why they’re changing it up, and I don’t necessarily think it’s bad, it’s just that I prefer the original game style and visuals so far.

I'm also not a big fan of the clothing/styles they've given the new characters, especially Max. Each character in the first game had a unique style I felt suited them well, now everyone's clothing seems pretty bland and standard. I especially wish they had kept some of Max's original aesthetic, It feels really boring and plain now. Maybe that's not a popular opion, I'm not sure, but it's a first impression of mine so I'm writting it! (Also I am aware there are going to be outfit packs, but I don't any of them look like anything Max would've originally wore, or really even look good... personally I don't like them).

2. Game Play:

I like the sneak peak they gave us in the Reveal Stream, it looks fun! I think at the very least I’ll enjoy playing through the game even if I don’t enjoy the story. The university they made looks fun to explore and the concept of two parallel universes with two different versions of everyone you meet is extremely interesting!! ALTHOUGH I really dislike that they took away Max's rewind power, that was a big reason why I enjoyed the first game (getting to rewind and see all the diffrent options and dialoge) so I'm defenitly not a fan of that being taken.

3. Life is Strange Comics:

(Spoiler warning for the comics) One thing that confuses me is that the comics are known as non-canonical in the Life is Strange storyline, however will this game change that?? Max seems to have the same (or very similar) powers that she has in the comics in Double Exposure. Dose this mean the comics will be reconized as semi-canon or even fully canon for the first game now? Maybe Double Exposure will even connect the storyline of the comics and first game togther. Although personally, I hope not, while I enjoy the comics I think I'd enjoy them a lot less if they were canon lol.

4. Chloe:

So we know it follows either endings of the 1st game. Dose that mean Chloe is either dead or alive and broken up/no contact with Max (the girl that sacrificed a entire town for her)?? So far I’m confused on how that will work. As much as I've wanted Max and Chloe to get another game, if you’re just going to give Max one why not just have it take place in the bay over bae ending?? I think they can make this “both endings are canon” work, but the question is will they?

5. Can it Really Be a Standalone Game?:

When they revealed Double Exposure to be a standalone game I was honestly really disapointed because why even make a game with Max, and possibly Chloe, just to have it not connect with their original game and story that's already beloved by fans?? To me this is a big mistake when their original story is still so loved, unique, and respected, and I think alot of fans would've liked to see a sequel or continuation of their story. I honestly think this is what's going to make me dislike the game, we'll just have to wait and see, I'm optimistic for now, but I have a feeling the story and characters will seem disconnected from the original game because they want the game to be a standalone and not refer to the original. So I personally predict that this choice alone will really negativly effect what the game has to offer, but we'll just have to wait and see! Hopefully I'm wrong about this.

Animaniacs' obscure ensemble cast

Recently, I conducted a poll asking fellow fans if they believed Animaniacs underutilized their ensemble characters. It turns out a majority of you believe that each ensamble character recieved an appropriate amount of screen time, with only 21.1% of people saying that these characters were underutilized.

It is definetly a noteable question, seeing how their are so many characters within the Animaniacs universe, with so many obscure one offs that have seemed to be forgotten throughout the years.

Who are these characters? And why were they forgotten?

Most casual fans know The Warners and Pinky and The Brain. If you've seen the original 1993 run of the show, you will know about Slappy the squirell, Mr Skullhead, The Goodfeathers. If you've done a little more digging, you might have seen or heard of Rita and Runt, Mindy and Buttons, or The Mime.

Then there are those one offs that only the hardcore fans will know about. Characters such as Minerva Mink, Katie Kaboom, Chicken Boo, and those godforsaken Hip Hippos.

And then, there is the most obscure character that appears in Animaniacs by far. The Flame.

I garentee if you mention this character to a casual fan (especially one who hasn't seen the original), they will have no idea what you are talking about.

Now how has the show gone about featuring all of these characters?

Despite having a vast amount of characters at their disposal, Animaniacs(1993) tends to push three segments: Warner segments, Pinky and The Brain segments, and Slappy segments. The rest of the cast and their segments are only featured part of the time, with Rita And Runt, Mr Skullhead, and Buttons and Mindy making the most frequent apperences of these characters.

Sadly, as the show went on, many of these one off characters I mentioned were pushed to the side, in favor of The Warners and Slappy appearing more often. Pinky and The Brain got their own show, so obviously they were popular. These one offs characters were being used less and less. It's no wonder why much of Animaniacs' ensamble cast has been forgotten as time went on.

I think much of the reason why these obscure one offs seemed to disapear from the show has to due to their story potential. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot can be put into several diffrent scenerios; their dynamic and comedic style makes for a memorable and entertaining episode. There is only so many stories you can make with The Mime, for example, whose segments consist of him getting hurt over and over again.

The same goes for Minerva Mink, who only starred in two segments of her own. Her segments are solely based on her getting ganged up by a bunch of men attracted to her. There is only so many times you can use that same plot before it gets stale.

Now you may be asking to yourself: If I were a writer for Animaniacs, what would I do to fix this issue? How would I write for these one off characters?

A very simple solution, in my opinion, would be to do more crossover episodes. You could have Slappy be in a Warner segment, Buttons and Mindy could co-star in a Rita and Runt segment, The Goodfeathers could fly into a Mime segment and poop on his face or something. There is a ton of scenerios you could make by mixing these characters together.

There are some instances of crossovers occuring in the show. There was an episode where Chicken Boo got married to Ralph The Gaurd, and Minerva's infamous cameo in the episode 'Hurclue Yakko', which also starred The Hip Hippos I should add.

But I think the best example of characters crossing over in Animaniacs(1993) was in the season 3 finale, during the song 'Big Wrap Party'. The song features all of the ensemble characters throughout the show, and what food their eating at The Warners big wrap party. Everyone gets a shout out in this: Slappy, Chicken Boo, Hip Hippos, even that weird Randy Beaman kid sitting with Skippy at a table.

Despite these one off's being mostly forgotten nowadays, I can only appreciate the effort the writer's went through in creating such a large range of characters. And while some were pushed to the side in favor of The Warners, it's such a joy when these characters do show up. Who dosen't love a good ensemble cast?

Well,we have more movies after this but actually we have already reached a sort of end here,as this block wraps up the big 3 monsters (Dracula,Frankenstein and Wolf Man ) and we end the 40's here

21.House of Frankenstein(1944)

So this is the big crossover movie,all three big monsters are together at last:Dracula ,Wolf Man and Frankensteins Monster....And they never fucking interact .Draculas dies halfway through ,and Wolfman dies right before the monster wakes up......So bit of a disappointment and the movies structure is a mess .Boris Karloff is back,this time as a mad scientist ,and he gives a good performance but it is kind of hilarious how much he screws over the monsters simply cause he is taking too much time to get his experiments done and he is kind of an asshole .Theres an interesting enough love triangle between J Carol Naish as the hunchbacked assistant in love with a Romani woman (Clearly trying to evoke Hunchback of Notre Dame ),who is in love with Larry Talbot ,Talbots story is nice and tragic ,with Lon Channey Jr being great as always as Talbot .As for the other two monsters they have good actors ,John Carridine fits a more book accurate Dracula ,and Glenn Strange with his huge build and craggy face is an imposing monster,but they are barely in the movie sadly .Will say I like the meta symbolism of the ending of the monster carrying Karoff only for the two to sink in quicksand together ,united forever .I dunno its a very flawed movie but its got its moments

22.The Mummys Curse (1944)

...Zzzzzzzz-*gasp*.....Oh yeah,....This was meh ....Just a bog standard Mummy movie......Yeah while I have fondness for the other monsters and am sad to see them go.....I am more then happy I am almost done with the Mummy movies ,at least the next ones a comedy

23.House of Dracula (1945)

The last of the war time Monster movies,and honestly the last serious film of the main line Monster films ,till Creature of the Black Lagoon in the 50's ....And its not good.It has the same problems as House of Frankenstein but more so :The monster dont really interact ,stories a mess ,but added to that ......The title character and main villain dies half way through ,to make room for a diffrent villain,Frankensteins Monster might as well not be there and its just a bit of a whimper.Will say Carridine is a good Dracula ,I just wish he had a good movie to go with his Drac ,I really liked the Nurse character Nina ,and I was really happy to see Larry Talbot get a happy ending for once

24.She Wolf of London(1946)

.....Why is this in this DVD set ? Cause ummm.....Its not a monster movie ,its more like Gaslight or like something from Val Lewton like the Leopard Man .....Except it isnt good .As much as I love June Lockhart she just isnt well directed here ,and I kind of knew really early on who the villain was .Will say there is a saving grace to the movie :Sara Haden as Aunt Martha is REALLY excellent .I think my overall takeaway isdissappointment,this is not a lady werewolf movie nor a particularly good thriller ,but Haden keeps me from hating it .Also Horace from 101 Dalmations plays a cop,that was fun

25.Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)

So the monsters are brought back after a hiatus for one last ride to meet Universals other big money makers at the time,the comedy team of Bud Abbot and Lous Costello.....And my feelings are complicated ,not on the film,the film is great,but on its legacy.First off the idea of the crossover was brillaint ,as humor is fairly common in the Monster films and the main conciet is REALLY funny,cause Costello is REALLY funny when he is scared ,and who better to scare him then Dracula and the Frankenstein Monster .I also like that within the film the monsters are played seriously ,with the humor coming from the childlike fear of Lou and Buds grumpyness with Lou for thinking monsters are running around .The Monsters are great ,Lon Chaney Jr as Larry Talbot being are token heroic monster ,and being a good foil to Bud and Lou ,Glenn Strange actually gets stuff to do as the Monster (And even a few lines ) with a wonderful chase scene near the end being a highlight ,and Bela Lugosi returns to his most iconic role as Dracula and is a great charming yet conniving villain .The gags are funny ,with some great one liners and some amazing comedic set pieces .I also think it is both a great horror film for kids and is a go to film for me to throw on around Halloween .So yeah I love the movie and part of me feels it is a fun last hurrah for the monsters ......But seeing it in this marathon context it also felt bitter sweet ,they quit being taken seriously and were solidified as figures of fun.....but fun is not bad ,its just a diffrent way of viewing them .Overall I love this movie and it is one of my faves of the lot

C dramas of 2023 so far…

Honestly, I just fell down the c drama rabbit hole a few months ago so not that many things to report. However, in least to most favourite so far...

5. Love like the Galaxy

Basically the story of 2 traumatised dumbasses (affectionate) who cause more trauma to each other, mixed in with palace plots, 2 other simps, a bunch of jealous women, far too many characters (including king Wendy and his two wives) and revenge, revenge, revenge and more revenge. And obviously, Love. The classic.

The only reason this is rated this low is because this was way too long to watch and everything else on this list is spectacular.

4. The General's lady

This show is practically 'scary man who is only nice to his (1) woman.' That is it. That's the story. No one cares about the plot.

This was the first c drama that I watched. And honestly, this story is not that great overall in terms of plot and everything, but has enough sweetness to make me swoon every 10 seconds.

3. Legend of Yunxi.

The open-ended tragedy of the medicine girl and the fake prince who is supposedly a monster. Not to forget mentioning the million other very important characters and flower valley owner, Mr.secondary love interest. Cold guy, who has a backstory, meets 'ugly' smart girl and tries to kill her at first sight. She runs and meets sweet guy, who has a backstory of his own. turns out, she gets married to cold guy anyway so no point in running. Don't worry, In this story everything is connected.

This was the second drama that I watched and has the most intense plot so far. unpopular opinion: I love the ending! To me, personally, it makes sense.

2.The Eternal Love

What do you do when you have 3 seasons of the same plot, but repeated falling in love and too much Humour ? You Binge watch only season 1 and ignore the other two.

Season 1 : Bossy, sarcastic Real estate agent gets transmigrated to the past, into the body of a Meek, responsible girl. Drama ensues when the body that now holds two souls, has to get married to the hot brother of OG girl's lover. There is now a love square that only the two girls and their hilarious maid know exist and everyone is confused. The 14th brother's outfits are terrible, the king has a glitter crown, the OG girl's lover gets possessed and now has great eyeliner, everyone has a secret tragic past and there is a demon king who walks around a circle chanting " I'm a bitch " 49 times.

Season 2 : They travel back in time and go back to the future. and only our hot guy knows what happens. and everything happens again. but everything is diffrent and there are now 2 hot guys.

Season 3 : This time, they get transported into an alternate reality where women rule and our Leads get soul swapped into the bodies of the ones in that universe. But, this time, the difference is, this dimension's hot guy is present most of the time and our hot guy only gets released when a memory comes to him. BUT, every time they kiss, he turns back into this universe hot guy, making everyone confused. again.

1. The Romance of Tiger and Rose

Normal day script writer gets transported into her own story and the only way she can go home is to finish the story without dying. Too bad she gets transported into the body of the mean girl, The hero's first wife who he poisons. Someone who is literally the first person to die. The someone who dies 3 episodes in.

But uh oh! now that she survives, the whole story goes up in flames and while trying to get the hero and heroine (her sister) together, she makes the hero fall for her, makes the heroine turn into the villain and overall fucks up the plot in the worst and best way possible. She didn't even have to try. Oh, and she also made another guy fall in love with her which makes her husband the king of jelousy.

Worthy mention to their Servants, Bai ji and Zi Rui, who each share 1 of their own masters' brain cells and are absolutely done with their masters' constant lovey dovey bullshit.

Yet, even now, as Calum tries to think of how great Bryana could be for Ashton, he can’t help but think that he would be so much better.

Or the one where Calum and Ashton have been Friends With Benefits for years, and Calum thought his feelings for Ashton were simply sexual until Bryana came into the picture.

Summary: Ashton believes he cannot fall in love anymore; he just can’t find the time to personally invest himself into someone. So he decides to use his best friend, Calum Hood, to substitute the feeling until he is able to find the one.

They were supposed to realize their love for each other, but it came in all the wrong ways. They’ll hurt each other, comfort each other, and learn to hate the other. But most importantly, they’ll horribly fall in love.

Funny thing about my FNAF sona, is that there are two versions of same looking one.

One is a normal Patrice. She is a BFF with Vincent and friends with other guards. No powers, just a human. She is a serious character in my story.

The other one, on the other hand, is Patrice the lord of chaos. Her lore is that she was human, until she traveled to diffrent universes. Her power is made out of Discord's chaos magic, infinity stones, chaos emeralds, Magic Man's magic, random memes and desserts. She have power stronger than anything in the world. I made her as a joke. Because we all need a funny comic with her. So yeah. Now you know her lore. And now you know how she can travel between universes.

I had a dream about the precursors to the witness in destiny 2 but it was more like The "Unofficial" Adriandel Guy's headcannon verson of the precursors.

Half of this whole dream was also from a dream from earlier that same day that I had while napping.

That night I had it was ruff for me I had a dream where I was bajari but I was undercover since the castle was attacked by shooters with guns.

(this castle was a small one I think and it looked like a castle house and in the back yard there alot of goats and i was all over and loving on the goats)

So I went back to my house in the edge of town in the desert. I don't know how far it was away from the castle but it was a cozy round house with probably a few bedrooms but it was 1 story.

This part about the 5 mean precursors i don't think was lore in my own au but I had met 5 other precursors but they turned out to be very mean and were hating on my music (that I had playing on my tablet irl that had somehow appeared in the dream) also and were calling me a human.

Idk how they knew that it was actually human music that was playing on my tablet.

Their meaness had hurt me and my sleep became broken up and it was a long night. There was also a chubby precursor amoung them.

If they knew I was actually the Bajari who wasn't wearing the royal stuff except for a few of the scarves and wraps and was sheltering from gunfire in a home that I lived at before I knew I was actually a Bajari in that dream.

The gaurds and the rest of the staff that work for and tend to the Bajari I didn't see on the way out of the castle.

In fact no one was around and it was spooky quiet.

So I had then set out back to my cozy home that I really liked the coziness of it.

Since I was in the universe of where the witness had existed so I had felt bad about being the Bajari because how many precursors did not actully merge into the witness. Nor did I fully belive in the dream that I was really the Bajari and was being taken care of and was really brought to the castle.

So the guards and the other ones that work for the Bajari did not know I had went back to my cozy home that I know of and the news was even on the TV about the Bajari kinda bring missing and yes the news lady had actually said "now while the Bajari kinda remains missing for now let's get back to the..."

Then...

The dream had turned into another sort of a completely diffrent broken up dream.

Also these dreams I get were nice to have experienced them except the meanness and scary parts but I wish I had more good good dreams like those more often.

hi! i saw your NiD where jackel (I hope im saying his name right) was like an older sibling to reala and NiGHTS, my question is how do you think the Nid turner into nights journey of dreams.

I have a theory that wizeman when he finally got nights he removed his memory same with reala and made diffrent body (aka the journey of dreams form) but wizeman was not too generous with jackle (again sorry if I say his name wrong) and ends up "getting rid of him" so that reala and nights won't reamber or have a hint of reambering jackle.

but when wizeman made Chamelan, that's when they reambered something, they reambered someone but they keep it to themselves.

do you have a similar thoughts of this? I'm quite curious as I don't see a lot of people talk about it

You have an interesting theory, indeed.

Honestly, I have several theories about what happened to Jackle from NiD to NJod:

First one, the comedic approach and not my theory (but I really like the idea), is the one of “Roger van der Weide” with his youtube video “nights journey into dumbness” which I remember from my early teen-years (the video was uploaded in 2010, holy wow!!!).

It´s a parody of the NJoD game.

In this one Wizeman gets fed up with Jackle and after Jackle mumbles “… more like Dumb-man” he gets forbidden to appear in NJoD.

Another theory is that these two games take place in two different universes - Jackle simply doesn´t exist in NJod.

The most realistic theory, however, is that Wizeman simply killed Jackle after failing to defeat and capture Nights (boss battle in NiD).

Jackle is categorized as second-level, and we have seen what Wizeman does to second-levels in NJoD if they dare fail him (he literally crushed Donbalon and Bomamba on-screen with his bare hands). So yeah, RIP Jackle.

I think the only exceptions to that punishment are the first-levels – Wizeman didn´t punish Reala after failing to keep Nights captured in NJoD, nor did he plan to wipe Nights from existence (he wanted to keep their body, just wanted to exchange their mind).

Then again you could argue that Jackle is a special case or that his mantle protects him even from Wizeman – but I dunno.

Personally, I don´t draw an exact line between the two games, nor do I really stick to the storylines either.

I tend to rather use certain characters and parts of the world itself and create “new” stories in my head.

Some of these stories, or AUs, I put on paper (like the one where Jackle is commissioned to raise Nights and Reala) while others remain in my head.

There are AUs in which Jackle is the “main-character”, others in which the role goes to Reala or Nights. Some of the stories are fluffy and whimsical, while others are quite bloody and/or dramatic. Sometimes Selph plays a role in them (usually as the counterpart to Jackle, as Nights is to Reala  ,  or in other stories Selph is the counterpart to Wizeman).

The most fleshed out AU with Selph for example is in which Selph is Wizeman´s counterpart; while Wizeman reigns over Nightmare, Selph reigns (or rather watches) over the rest of the dream realm (somewhat similar to Nights) but they are in the position of a god.

Selph had been the first one to create life – the Nightopians – to live in the dreamt-up worlds of the visitors.

Nightopians consist of light.

Wizeman followed suit, except his creations were absence of a free will (third-level nightmarens).

Nightmarens consist of light and, depending on their level, a certain degree of ideya. While third-levels consist of light only (which is why they can reproduce with Nightopians (Mepians)), second-levels have a certain amount of ideya put into their creation.

He quickly found that his creations, other than himself, were not only capable of leaving the nightmare-dimension, but also enter, or rather infiltrate, the dream realm AND that they were able to cause harm to the residents and visitors and take something very important from them – ideya.

Ideya is the power the visitors bring along and that has the power to create new areas/new worlds (the dreams you can enter through the big doors).

Wizeman had always wanted to reign alone, and with the ideya, he would be able to extend his nightmare realm until the darkness would have even swallowed the last bit of the dream world. And who knows how far he´d be able to go from there…

Selph didn´t notice nightmaren intruding dreams at first – they were alone, and there were so many visitors with so many dreams, and Wizeman sent his nightmarens strategically.

Once noticed, Selph did their best to keep the ideya save within the dreams of the visitors, but they couldn´t be everywhere all the time and they refused to steal and use the ideya themself to create stronger Nightopians to help her cause.

The creation of second levels followed soon after the first ideya was obtained – they are more autonomous in their acts but still can´t think for themselves (they can´t think “logically”); overall they are still reliant on being told what to think and what to do.

Assigning this increasing number of nightmarens soon became an extremely time-consuming task – too much time, even for an immortal god.

Wizeman needed a creature that would lighten the workload, that could think rationally, logically and could both issue orders and carry them out itself.

He made his first attempt in creating a first-level nightmaren – he created Jackle.

Unfortunately, though, Jackle was not at all what Wizeman had in mind – he was visibly flawed.

Something had gone wrong, and Wizeman was angry – not at himself, but at his creation.

His newest creation in hand, Wizeman intended to crush his miscarriage immediately.

“Wait, Master!” the creature shouted pleadingly “One chance, Master. Give Jackle one chance: one night. And Master will be pleased. Yes?”

Wizeman stared at his failure.

Even looking at it made him feel uncomfortable.

And yet, the god responded “One venture! And do not disappoint me!”

This creation had taken up a lot of resources; light, time and, most importantly, precious ideya.

It was clearly a failed attempt, but if he would take it to the test, he might just find out WHAT exactly went wrong, what parts of it were usable and what needed to be made different next time.

When Jackle returned, Wizeman had no expectations of him.

Jackle held out two orbs of ideya to his master; a result to be expected by a second-level. Wizeman was unimpressed until his creation suddenly started cackling and pulled out several more ideya from his mantle.

When it was tasked to order other nightmarens it performed as well. In unconventional ways, sure, but it brought the relief Wizeman had intended.

Jackle got to live.

It wasn´t what Wizeman wanted, but it was functional, and it brought results.

Jackle soon began mentioning that he would be seeing or hearing things from time to time; that these phenomena would increase and be so much clearer when he was occupied with his cards.

Wizeman, though, shrugged it off as woolgathering; Jackle was defective after all.

One day Jackle and Selph encountered each other.

Selph immediately knew what was standing in front of them and tried to expel the nightmaren from the dream it had invaded.

Jackle however didn´t think of leaving.

The entity, trying to remove him, looked so much like himself, but more human, and it was so small compared to him. An intriguing creature.

He dodged and evaded the entity´s attacks, always staying close to it to get a better look.

Selph noticed the other´s gaze and stopped their attack.

After they had drawn some distance between themselves, Selph vocalized “You are a nightmaren, one of Wizeman´s creations,” they inspected the figure opposing, “… but there is something different about you: you examine me, as I examine you, you don´t fight back, the other´s mindlessly do” , Selph now stared into the nightmaren´s eyes “ What exactly are you?”

What Selph had just muttered was more of an outer monologue, they didn´t really expect an answer as none of the other nightmarens had ever answered or spoken at all, but this one opened its grinning mouth and responded

“Jackle.”

Selph opened their eyes widely, jaw dropped in disbelief.

The nightmaren laughed.

“You speak…?”

“Don´t you, too?” Jackle cocked his head and hunched his shoulders.

Selph hesitated before they blinked and lightly leaned forward “Again, please.”

“Don´t… you, too?” Jackle smiled confusedly.

“No, your… your name.”

“Jackle…?”

Selph didn´t know how to respond.

“Your name?” Jackle asked after a few seconds had passed.

“What?” Selph´s thoughts had drifted off in an attempt to apprehend what was happening and what that advanced nightmaren would mean to the dream world; what even the more worse it could do compared to the other nightmarens they had encountered thus far; were there more than just this one?

“Jackle would like to know your name, too.”

Selph cought a breath before straightening themself and darting a stern glance at the nightmaren “I am Selph.”

Jackle, not intimidated by that gesture, cocked his head again and widened his grin as he slowly hovered around the other, taking in every detail he could detect.

Selph cautiously watched the nightmaren, anticipating an attack.

But there was none.

Jackle stopped in front of Selph and looked them right into the eyes.

He cackled and then said “We look similar, but you are no nightmaren… What exactly are you?”

Selph looked at the others face and tried to read its intentions.

They then decided to take their time and hover around the nightmaren as well, taking in its form. Though, there wasn´t too much to look at, really.

Only when Selph had finished their circumnavigation they answered, “I am a god, just like Wizeman.”

Again, the reaction wasn´t quite what they had expected; the nightmaren giggled and replied, “A small god!” Jackle made a gesture with his hands to show how small they were.

Selph was dumbfounded and Jackle obviously found that amusing.

After their odd first encounter they met occasionally, randomly really, until they actively searched for the others company. Neither of them had anyone to talk to out of their own realm, so they talked to each other and started spending time together.

Their acquaintance eventually turned into friendship (whether their friendship turned into love, depends).

Both knew how dangerous it was spending time together; what would happen to Jackle if Wizeman found out, but they were two lonely souls who craved company – neither the Nightopians nor the visitors were the same to Selph as Jackle was to them, and neither were the other nightmarens and especially not Wizeman to Jackle what Selph was to him.

They both had an understanding for the other´s situation, so Selph never prevented Jackle from collecting Ideya and conversely Jackle never hindered Selph expelling the other nightmarens from the visitor´s dreams.

They both found themselves unable to change their situation and the roles they had in it.

Selph had been asking Jackle many times whether his cards had showed him any other possibility – he always negated.

Until one day Selph declared happily, they had found a permanent solution to their issue: they would flee into the world the visitor´s come from and live there.

(I´m still unsure as to how it would be possible for beings from the Night Dimension to pass into the Wake World – I mean, there is technically a possibility given in the mini-comic series by Archie but… it´s not like they ACTUALLY explained. It too would have been possible for me to just say “it´s possible with ideya”, but Selph wouldn´t use ideya; not even for escape.)

Anyhow, once they had managed to open the portal they were confronted with a problem: in order to keep the access stable and open, one of them needed to stay in the Night Dimension - they were to power sources to that portal; without at least one power source the gate would dwindle and then disappear. Then no one could escape.

They were quick to find a solution – Selph should go, they were stronger, they were the one to have the most knowledge of the Wake World and the visitors living there.

“Once I am through, I will open the portal from the other side immediately,” Selph promised “If anything prevents me from doing so now, I will do my utmost to open it as soon as I possibly can.”

And with that, Selph entered the portal and was gone.

Jackle waited a few more moments before closing the portal, then he waited.

He waited several hours but nothing happened.

He got nervous, worried something might have gone wrong. He giggled anxiously, shuffling his cards, hoping they would tell him something, tell him Selph was fine. But there were no answers to his unspoken questions.

After what felt like an eternity, he had no choice but to face the possibility, that something might have gone terribly wrong.

That Selph might not have made it.

There was no new portal.

There was no hidden message within his cards.

There was no nothing.

The night had only begun when they had started their escape – now it was nearly over.

Jackle had no choice but to resume collecting ideya.

If he´d show up without ANY, it would mean his demise.

With a heavy heart he left the area and entered the nearest dream.

Every single night, he would return, and hope to find an indication of Selph´s doing – Selph themself, a new portal, a message, an aura, a simple evidence of their presence.

He would always be disappointed.

With a rupturing hole in his chest, he carried on.

One day, Master Wizeman called for Jackle.

“I have a special task for you,” the Master announced, but didn´t amplify as he scooped ideya with one hand, and light with another.

Then, he let both hands collide and held two others underneath to make sure, no resource would get lost in the process.

He started pugging the radiating mass with all his six hands.

Once it had become one homogenous mass, he separated it into two and began to form it.

Jackle observed the process silently as he was trying to shield his eyes from the brightness with one hand.

The master took his time and Jackle wouldn´t dare to make a single sound.

He knew what he was witnessing; he knew the master was creating new first-level nightmarens.

Once the master had deemed his creations to be finished, he let them rest in one of his hands for a moment.

Jackle tried to take a closer look, even if it hurt his eyes, but wouldn´t dare move from his spot.

They were creatures reminiscent of human babies: small in stature, a big, round head and four small appendages.

Jackle dared to glance over to his master who was still inspecting his creations.

Suddenly the master took the creatures between two hands and sunk them into the black sea that was running underneath them.

Jackle couldn´t help but gasp as the creatures vanished into the void.

The blinding light they had emitted, had now been suffocated by darkness.

The sea began to bubble up and the master only recoiled his hands once it had started boiling aggressively.

With staring eyes and a gaping mouth Jackle anticipated the result, but the master hesitated to part his hands.

Did he fear another failure, or did he already know something had gone wrong again?

Jackle held his breath as the master finally revealed the outcome: two squirming and whimpering figures, so small, they were barely the size of his own hand. Their eyes were closed and their bodies in fetal positions facing one another. Their little hands reached out feeling for the other, and only when it was the others body, they would clutch onto whatever there was.

To Jackle it looked like these two bodies seemed to try to coalesce back into one being; but their weak efforts were of no avail.

Still, he couldn´t shake the feeling that what he saw were the most seraphic and wonderful creatures he had ever gazed upon.

He felt so full of vim and utterly delighted, he hadn´t noticed how his usual grin had grown into an enormous smile that only found limitation by his face.

He felt his eyes getting wet and tried to blink away the forming tears.

This hadn´t been the first time Jackle had been crying of joy, but usually it had been because of laughter that had gotten out of hand – but he had never felt anything like this before. Not even when he had been with Selph.

He couldn´t wait for his master´s allowance to approach his youngest siblings; he just had to get near them, see them from close up, carefully touch their small forms.

In awe he inspected the two nightmarens from as close as he could possibly get without touching them or the master´s hands – he knew he couldn´t risk going any further without actual allowance.

“Take them,” the master´s orotund voice reached Jackle. “Raise them to be obedient and reverent nightmaren.”

He reached out to touch his siblings´ small bodies.

“Yes, master,” Jackle whispered.

He traced the silhouettes of their little heads carefully with his index fingers and was overjoyed when their little bodies started cooing and their nervous squirming slowly subsided.

To Jackle, it was love at first sight.

Canon universes are AU’s created by the same creator of the base universes, and are such quite simple with base rules. ( BUT WITH MINOR OR MAJOR DEVIATIONS) They also have a high chance of being MARVEL or DC related.

Right so I've started this account as a place to collect and ramble about my character's and their stories, as my brain just kinda seems to throw some of the ideas out while I'm sleeping sometimes!

So the stories are each about the same charactes, but in diffrent universes and genires. (With their own cannon events and all that)

Nobody has fun with the multiverse

Now, your probably wondering what I mean by this, and as it turns out I am terrible at communicating this idea via building up to it, so I'll just say it upfront:

Multiverse writers should treat the multiverse like scifi writers treat space.

Right now, most pop-culture multiverses are of the alternate universe variety, and this is valid! You can do plenty of interesting things with it, though many writers are dropping the ball on that front.

Spiderverse is a good example of this, it's not 5 versions of the same guy and that guy is Spiderman, it's five guys who all happen to be Spiderman, as opposed to what marvel is doing, where they make the former the entire plot for way too long and it just gets stale like come on guys-

The thing about AU based multiverses is that it's been done to death so much I don't even need to say what the problems are, chances are, if you found this post you already know.

As for what I'm asking for, treating it like space in scifi, lets you do some very intresting things, as you are able to arbitratily decide what the throughlines are. You can chose to have anything from the laws of the universe to the biology of it's denizens be different, so long as you are consistant with the level of change between universes, it will work!

Though, you have to be careful, as unless you reeeeally know what your doing, inserting this into a story that wasn't always intended to have it will feel like an ass pull (cough MARVEL cough).

A big thing you can do is Wrong Context Magic, where (in this case) a character from universe with one magic system, travels to a universe with a diffrent one, and is still able to use the one from their universe.

How do the natives of the new world react? Can the traveler learn this world's magic and/or vice versa? How do the two systems interact? Does the traveler keep their magic a secret? Theres also a version with technology, where the traveler comes from a world with different or more/less advanced tech, and many of the same questions apply, theres also the potential to combine them, different tech AND magic, and all the ramifications of that.

Overall, this is a multiverse setup that I havn't seen done yet, I think it is very intresting. I kinda havn't done it justice here, but this has taken long enough to write and I wanna do somthin else now ok byeeeeeeeee.

21.Theres a scene where Peter calls pison control to ask about gaining superpowers,and they try to get him to call a psychiatric hospital ,and thats a good bit

22.OK for the record this script is pretty good....But this is the most dated and goofy part.Like OK in the comics Spidey's debut is in a wrestling match against Crusher Hogan,this is a key part of the orgin and the Sam Raimi film even kept it changing the wrestler to Bonesaw McGraw played by a scene stealing Randy Savage .....Well in this script they keep the scene....AND HAVE SPIDEY FACTUAL REAL WRESTLER HULK HOGAN.I dunno if they had Hogan premission or if he was working for the Canon group at the time .And no I dunno why I can accept a man crawling on walls fighting an octopus man but Hulk Hogan is a step to far but it is

why does story have to repeat? it can be a diffrent person, timeline, universe, but it will always be the same story. thats weird and kind of scary but on the other hand you'll always know how this will end up
