✨ RAMBLY POST ABOUT THE CADDICARUS SPYRO VIDEO ✨

non-spoiler thoughts:

THIS VIDEO WAS AMAZING!!! it was everything i ever wanted and more. i'm an old ancient caddicarus fan from 2014 and oh my goooooddddd i loved this video. i loved it so much. it was beautiful amazing wonderful immaculate i want to marry it. nay, i want to marry the entire goddamn 2020-present caddicarus show.

i can't think of any jokes that fell flat in this episode. like usually there are at least a few that fall flat but this episode was wonderfully written.

it's like...i've been waiting 8 years for this video. there was a point in caddicarus history where we were certain the channel would never hit a million due to the stagnation it was experiencing in the late 2010's. the spyro video was becoming less and less of a possibility...until caddy changed up his content.

this change happened just under a year after i stopped watching, though. for two and a half more years, i kept hesitating and hesitating to watch the newer videos...until he actually hit one million subs. i was sitting in the college library on my first day of junior year when that happened, and i realized at that moment i HAD to return. so i watched the newer videos and was like "holy shit they really are as amazing as they say".

so the spyro video was my first new caddicarus episode since returning to the fandom...and man...i just missed that feeling so much. that wondrous feeling of getting a notification for a caddicarus episode. it's a feeling i hadn't felt in nearly 4 years.

OK BUT LIKE i have so muuuch stuff i wanna do rn. gifs, fanart, edits, etc...like BROOOO. i've fully been transformed back into my teenage self making tons of caddicarus fan-stuff for each new video that drops lmao.

and now for the spoilery thoughts... (this will be very incoherent i'm sorry)

ok but the CAMEOS? genius. if this video was made in 2016 i GUARANTEE he would've dedicated like 2 minutes to each of them, and they would've been saying stuff like "CADDY, PLEASE do NOT play this game, i played this on MY channel and it will CURSE YOU for LIFE!!!". but nope, the cameos lasted like 2 seconds each and almost ALL of them were just them being slightly caught off guard. I LOVE THIS GODDAMN SHOW SO MUCH.

and THE CADDYS RETROSPECTIVES INTRO!! I REMEMBER THAT! I CLAPPED!!!!

and THE BEGINNING CAMEO WITH THE NORMALBOOTS GUYS AND BRUTALMOOSE......crying

it's so funny that the few side characters we saw return in this were spons, baddy, long dennis and sam widge...but we got a shitton of new side characters. AND I LOVE THEMB.......WHEREDIGO MY BELOVED. face face is my new favorite eldritch horror, the COW... and the NEW LONDON COCKNEY CHARACTER WHO PULLED UP TO BEEFY BOYS. i DEADASS thought jim was gonna bring back quick J and was kinda disappointed he didn't jiaowefjoife. but he DID bring back daddy caddy so it's a good compromise.

OH AND WALLACE BIG TOO....AND COUSIN SQUADDY had me laughing my ASS off.

but obviously andrew van is the greatest caddicarus character of all time.

i have lots of favorite bits in this one, like the one where he puts on the clown shoes and kills moneybags. i also loved the one where he greenscreened himself skateboarding, and the return of that bit where he was flying out of the window to katamari music (it was some 2016 video i forgot what it was jsjsjjsjsj), and he ALSO brought back that "just melt it. i'll soak it up. i'll eat it" bit from the spyro orange video. and the SURPRISE MEXICAN BOUNS ROUND...god i'm going to reference this every time i go to a mexican restaurant.

that PUZZLE BIT...jim is such a genius like HOW. HOW does he come up with these things.

and i'm pretty sure that "you have to collect diamonds to FAST TRAVEL???" was a reference to "NOT EVEN THE ARCADE MODE???" from rascal racers

AND I'M NOT SHUTTING UP ABOUT THIS. MATRIX JIM. I WAS CHOKING,,,,

we got some new songs, notably "pink poo bag on your keys" and "i got a million subs". i will have lots of fun learning all the words to these and annoying the hell out of my sister with them.

i hope dead bird of the week becomes a regular thing.

and HOLY SHIT HE JINXED THE REPEAT OF THE CHEESE GRATER INCIDENT. WHY JIM. WHY.

oh god get ready for an infodump:

the pre-2020's lore is very inconsistent lmao. for example, it is said at one point that the slaughter gun is not able to hurt anybody, just games. but then in other episodes he uses the gun to kill guests. XD

another pre-2020 tidbit - caddy has telekinesis as revealed in the broken sword 2 episode.

caddy's old red car doubles as a tardis.

everyone is immortal, except for the bacon wizard and quick J. hoarsethroat, who died from the poisonous peppa pig sausage and excessive vaping respectively.

OK BUT LIKE. 15 year old me was VERY intrigued by the knack 2 episode's ending because he shot the game and blood came out of it, and caddy was very unsettled. which made me think. are some games SENTIENT?? do some games have ORGANS?? that scene was so interesting and it was never brought up again

after his failed series, puppicarus became caddy's game boy micro holder for several years before becoming an antagonist of the caddicarus show in the muppets racemania ep.

I AM SO (NOT) NORMAL ABOUT PS1 LAND. like at first it was just this fun thing used for promoting merchandise, but then it got even more interesting in the crash merch ep when it was revealed that the real caddy is trapped in PS1 land. i would honestly love for there to be an animated short that takes place entirely in that dimension. i know caddy isn't interested in doing lore anymore but he set up some interesting things with that merch ad.

a crack theory i have that connects the pre-2020 series and the reboot is that caddy somehow got terminated from his dirty duty of slaughtering and salvaging games, and his guns were taken, because he'd gone mad with power. he was eventually confined to his bricked house during 2020, and slowly went insane. none of the side characters are real, and they're all in his imagination.

sam widge has a sous chef named pete zah who takes over for him if he is knocked out by the food he makes.

SPONS HAS LEGS. I DONT REMEMBER WHAT EPISODE THIS WAS REVEALED IN BUT I SWEAR IT HAPPENED

in the video game commercials ep spons also has a radio in his nose that reads out pre-recorded sponsors from the future.

in the crash merch ep spons can also get sick despite being the most powerful caddicarus character. oh and he also apparently has a family

long dennis has a youtube channel called "OMGItzLongDennis". in his unboxing video he talks about how he has a long ex-wife, and apparently he has kids he has to pay child support for.

like seriously the 2023 episodes so far have had pre-2020 levels of lore.

Whats some caddicarus lore/fun facts any of you people know? Here's some of mine to get started (Also hi @beautifully-lumpy):

-caddy has been to church twice, once to see pepsiman and once to see anime.

-he has seemingly immortal stepdaughters, as he has blown them up previously and they survived and appeared again.

-it has (to my knowledge) never once been acknowledged both how many random people break into caddys house and how they all look like him (schizophrenia theory??1?1)

-other then baddy (evil twin brother of caddy) and a cameo from the thrill kill guy, no other supporting characters have survived the 2020 reboot.

-caddy can turn into jesus, and spons is god, but who does baddy, long Dennis, steak, etc etc all become around Christmas time?

-not lore but in the portable crash video for crash 1 entry 5, when he says "no idea why" he sounds like a cowboy and that always get me laughing.

-caddy has also transformed into super shag, where in fucking shaggy, he got a reason to change his hairstyle.

-caddy not only had sex with and had a child with a wall, but he also mentioned said child once and never again for no reason, so that child is probably dead, how fun.

-Finally, caddy is technically spons dad, as he did come out of his stomach once and he calls him dad, meaning that jesus gave birth to god who is a kite and that's just funny.

What ones can you think of? Trust me, there is more. Have fun telling me, as I read them with my feet kicking in the air with glee maybe.

I don’t appreciate this question in the slightest, Mx. Widge. You are being extremely insensitive, you know that right? That being said... I go to the gym at least 5 times a week, so I have developed something approximating the universal ideal of the perfect  body. You may imagine it if you like... but just be aware that it is still far from perfect. After all I still couldn’t save Krissy... this is why you don’t ask these sorts of questions to a grieving man. Get out of my sight.
