F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? i think it depends on whether or not it counts if we take breaks in between. like, some fandoms weve been into for like, months and months and months, and then we get out of it, and then we get back into it for EVEN MORE MONTHS........actually idk if it does, bc i think the answer either way is sam and max??? we were into that for like,,,,,,MOST of 2021/2022, werent we??? and we relapsed SEVERAL times!!!!!!!! fnaf might be a close second. unfortunately

H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)? ooh,,,uhh,,,,it depends on a whole lot of things. i dont prefer media that is ongoing. so like, a series thats still running? i probably wont be able to get into it. which i know is hilarious since this is an hh and hb blog, both of which are ongoing. the LENGTH is also a big factor. like, id rather die than get into something like the simpsons, because i have a completionist in my brain that would mourn never being able to watch it all. for that same reason, i dont tend to like media thats episodic, like,,,,,spongebob is the best example i could think of jhksdfhjsd. i dont like shows/media that will do something as a gag, and then everything ""resets"" by the next episode. i need linear growth!!!!!!! books, depends on how long the series is. i like reading, but i just dont have the time to read huge series, and also its a bitch to find something if i need a specfic piece of info that i knew i read. like, the wfrr series is perfect, idk if i could do anything longer than that. movies are......ok??? theyre fine, i prefer movie SERIES tho, for more of that linear growth i was talkin about. and games ALSO fully depend on the length/what kind of game they are. i could never see myself getting into something like zelda, because theres SO much content with not enough consistency, but sam and max and monkey island hold a super special place in my heart. SDKFHJKSDFJHKSDF SORRY SORRY this answer was really really long winded. so im gonna say that my ideal media is a show thats short, finished, and maybe has some extra stuff like books or special features. like, gravity falls was my IDEAL fanom, not just for the nostalgia factor!!! it ticks all the boxes :]

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc? in our fix-verse, striker wins by a goddamn mile. rosie SAVED that man. in cannonnnn.....uhhh......holy shit, does any character have any arc at all???????????? JHKSDFHJKSDF HELLO???? WHY CANT I THINK OF ANY. fuck, i guess striker wins!!!!! congrats man!!!!!

M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend. im soooo obviously biased here but ive gotta give it to striker. we could complain about stolas together and i could tell him about the people who wronged me and hed be like 'want me to kill them for you?' and i could say yes. also i could pat his horsey on the head

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice). women. just any women. give me a compelling arc for a woman that has no men getting their sticky hands on it. i have to think of two more things.....uhhh......i want more.....filler. especially in hazbin, i want the characters hanging out and bonding. we read the show bible ep pitches together and im still in mourning. charlie helpng baxter with his experiments??? huskerdust carnival date??? ROYAL PARTY???? MIMZY BECOMING A RESIDENT OF THE HOTEL??????? uhhh one more thinngggg......ummm......fat people. isnt it ridiculous that there are only TWO. FAT CHARACTERS. IN BOTH OF THESE SHOWS COMBINED. two!!!!! and one of them is a villain, and the other is meant to be disliked!!!!! i wonder if that says anything about vivziepop. /sarc

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom? blitzker is up there, but right now the award goes to blitz/moxxie. they are SO. SO SPECIAL TO ME. and weve been sleeping on them all this time!!!!!!!!!! they are best friends in the whole world

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged) uhh. blitz ships appledash. i saw someone earlier say hed ship rarijack and it actually annoyed me a little HAHAHAJKHFJKLDSH come on, look at his goddamn horse ocs!!!!!! this man wants butch4butch horses sooo bad. he literally is rainbow dash. and he loves cowboys. uhhhh on a slightly more serious headcanon note, all members of i.m.p being at least a little trans is so so so incredibly important and special to me. t4t4t

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending? blitz is not a goddamn dom. stop making him the top in what is supposed to be loving stolitz art. he doesnt like it. he pretends to but hes lying. wheres that post thats like "when the character is putting on a persona in-universe and the audience falls for it". i have rambled about how much i hate this on this blog before and i will do it again

More Badlands headcanons: the prequel

I return from the grave to lay upon ye my newfound knowledge: so I was just doodling a sad bbh, then he started looking more like child bbh and it turned into a comic of Bad meeting the other three for the first time and eventually I came up with a sort of backstory for bbh and some initial bonding for the badlands LET'S GET INTO IT

(this is all /rp)

So life in the nether certainly wasn't easy and bad's childhood was definitely fucked up.

One day he had walked away for five minutes from home and returns to it being burnt down and his parents on the ground, stabbed to death.

Baby Bad did n ot have the same attire. His current scarf, he took it from his mom when she died, whilst the sword comes from his dad. That's why he never upgraded from a diamond sword to a netherite one.

Before they died, he had 3 halos, two disappeared after they did and one remained broken until he got over them passing away.

As a kid he had more devilish wings, which became normal angel/feathered wings a little after his parents' death. It had been said that his family had a toll on their heads and only once someone else's vengeance was completed (killing said family), his features would've gone back to the way his species used to be. He wasn't sure much had changed.

(Also sidenote, for once he's on the other side: literally every bad thing reminds him of his childhood in the nether so at least for the first few centuries he's always absolutely nice to people)

Then he goes wild with chaos when hes more comfy and has friends ♥

Once grown up and confident, despite everything he'd heard about the overworld, he decides to find a portal and cross it.

Of course, when he crosses, he is immediately met with three complete strangers staring right back at him, entirely different from what people had told him: there's a biped cat, a diamond person and a creeper hybrid, still staring and blinking at him, quite surprised.

The three immediately notice how he's immediately on the defensive, guarding instead of attacking them immediately

So they understand he doesn't mean bad and they also understand it's his first time out of the nether because of the way he needs to adjust to the sunlight which is the same skeppy had the first time out of the underground (he only ever lived in caves so underground, max/min y levels where u find diamonds.

They take o n e look at bad and go "holy shit. We need to adopt this guy quick"

Bonus: "okay. GOTTA protect this dude at a l l costs. He might be 3 meters tall demon, but he looks sad so he needs to be PROTECTED RIGHT NOW-"

Sam ant and skeppy are in fact together already which means they already are found family tm so they already got each other and helped each other in the past.

Hold the fuck up this is beautiful because. Creepers can spawn or stay in mines WHERE DIAMONDS ARE

creepers can be on the ground as well where CATS ARE BUT THEY'RE AFRAID OF CATS THIS IS ACTUALLY SO GOOD pardon my enthusiasm i had an epiphany

Hence their small backstory: Sam finds skeppy first, then he loses skeppy as the latter freaking bolts around in the overworld for the first time.

Skeppy finds ant and brings him to Sam and Sam is like Oh GOD PLEASE NONONO "Can we keep him" "NO." "Im right here" "he TALKS?"And transforms to his humanoid vers

Actually they keep Ant for a week before he speaks for real because skeppy wants to prank sam

One night a skelly shoots an arrow at ant and Sam has been protective over the two ever since (they are brothers your honor)

Sam stopped sizzling everytime ant is nearby ♡

Skeppy does not feel hot nor cold

He's simply an unbothered king about temperatures ♡

Thats why he wears a crop top anything for fashion,,,/hj (granted to u guys by the great @azaethal)

It's a blessing when they adopt bad in their friend group cause skeppy finally has a new victim and Sam and ant have some rest. Bad falls for every single prank of skeppy.

Then the next problem is when they get into fights and become petty and don't talk to each other like literal kids

Ant and Sam stand there like how does this diamond block fuckin have the guts to yell at a 9 feet tall demon what the f u ck

YUP, sure is!!! i’m really clingy with my ocs so once you see them they’ll probably be seen again at some point, LOL. way back when i made obsidian and eudialyte, none of the diamonds or homeworld had even shown up yet, so it was difficult to write those two as su homeworld ocs without world lore... but now its wayyy easier since all the lore is just out there, so you can expect to see her!

hihi, thank you so much! ; ; the campaign i DM has multiple moderators, so its not all me- i was the second person to hop onboard so the majority was written by my friend, though i made a lot of subplots and settings for a portion of the campaign with a lot of travelling... anyway, i think basically anything can become a campaign, nothing is stuck in traditional dnd setting! mine is in a fictional world and is based more on the world than the fact that the characters are magical girls. i think it’s just like creating any other campaign; get your friends, create a system (the one we use is homebrew), and you can do anything really!

did we ever really consider what we were doing when we let BenEm have a baby so young because holy shit I was just thinking about it and RIP them. This is all I’ve been thinking about for the past like hour while I was cleaning so here is an abstract of my thoughts:

They wouldn’t have insurance. Sally and Bob wouldn’t let Emily stay on theirs once they found out, they wouldn’t approve of pre-marital sex and the fact that it was with Ben would make it worse since Sally would disapprove of him. Like this would definitely be a thing, probably to the point that would finally essentially make Bob&Sally basically disown Emily and Emily call it quits with them, too. Her and Sally wouldn’t get along since the middle school years and while her and Bob would get on better they would never really be parents to her, at least not the same way they were to Sam. Constantly comparing her to Sam, who has a perfectionist streak a mile wide for her own reasons, wouldn’t really help any of them, either, so it would probably happen at some point but this would definitely push it over the ledge.

Emily and Ben are like 18 at this point. She gets pregnant their first year of college, or at least that’s what it says MKoC RP says though I could have sworn we at least waited till spring 2014 for that so they had at least one year of college done, but either way 18-19 and pregnant and college and no insurance. An uninsured uncomplicated vaginal delivery can get up to $20,000-$30,000 and that’s without including prenatal care before all of that and also ignoring the fact that there could be complications. (I vote we give them a break here, Emily is a young and healthy female she can totally rock the vaginal birth thing and stubbornly refuse an epidural to try and make things cheaper although she almost breaks Ben’s hand instead)

And the only thing I can think of that would really help them through and keep them from going too badly in debt just through labor cost alone would be Sam. Like yeah I figure one of them might already have a job, though I can see Emmy working more when school was on break than during up until that point and either way neither would probably have full time so 20-30 hours at minimum wage even with the both of them still wouldn’t be enough with college prices to consider as well.

And Sam, well, she’d have a ton of winnings from ice skating competitions and dancing shows and stuff that she’d save up for college, but after breaking her leg she’d just continue to save it up. She’d work in the year off she’d take which would just be even more money and it’s Emily so of course she would be all in for helping. It wouldn’t cover everything but it would definitely make a dent and help Emily stop panicking so much about everything since Sam would help pay for prenatal care initially and then they’d all work to covering labor and baby care for when Luke is born. (fucking poor Will he comes back from Harvard and they are all v. much trying not to make him worry so he’s getting minimal info so he comes back to a shit show lmao)

I think this would be the point when Sam and Ben would finally start connecting, too, and becoming friends in their own right instead of just for Will or just for Will and Em. I can imagine Ben initially having some issues with Sam going so out of her way for them, because yeah obviously it’s Sam and Em and obviously they love each other, but this is so much and he just can’t understand why she’s doing it when she mostly tolerates him and it was a stupid mistake. (Because let’s not joke around here, it was a mistake. Sam would probably have a serious talk with Emmy about whether she wanted to consider abortion or not, and if not that then adoption. She’d support Emmy whatever decision she made and once Emily decided to have it she’d back her fully there, too). So maybe Ben’s struggling with it because he’s grateful but now he feels like he owes Sam and I don’t think Ben would enjoy feeling like he owes anyone anything if it wasn’t Will or the parent De Vesci’s and even then maybe not them? IDK maybe I’m full of it, but either way I think after a while of Ben’s confusion she’d probably reveal to him the reason she’d go so out of her way to take care of Emmy and would never plan to stop and they’d have a long talk about the fire and bond over that. I can see Ben being the king of misplaced guilt so he’d help Sam work through some of her own and they’d help each other and I am just infinitely amused by the idea of him and Sam becoming buddies in their own right because can you imagine Will’s and Emily’s faces the first time they caught them hanging out alone voluntarily?? Or were told that Sam and Ben were going to do something alone like catch a movie or go to lunch? They’d be baffled for hours.

I don’t think you’ve gone on MKoC RP for a while so here are some notes I made about their college years because we planned them poorly:

Wait okay, so 2013 fall to 2014 spring was “their” freshman year. Do we have Willmantha getting married spring/fall of 2014 (end of freshman year for Will and beginning of it for Sam/his sophomore year start). Because from this time line we have Abby born in 2015, which would be junior year for Will and sophomore year for Sam.

Also junior year for Jared and Ang, too. And did they also get married?I don’t think we planned these college years out well lmao. And it’s only junior year for Benem too and they got their second kid like hot damn, no, we did not think this through at all girlie holy shit.

Also when do we have Max move in with them? I’m thinking around kid 3-4 maybe? Because initially I think Max would feel very out of place with everyone since he’d be closest to Jeffie and then Em but they’d all be getting together and figuring out what they’d want to do and he’d just not know so he’d travel a bit, maybe go to Korea to learn more about himself or something, but all their kids would know him as Uncle Max and the fun uncle and shit since he’d come back with presents, but maybe one time he comes back and this time it’s Em’s and Ben’s turn to host him and he just notices how hectic it is and between ben’s full time social working and em’s full time nursing with a switching schedule and stuff he’d just notice and start slowly taking over house chores and shit and like Emily would think Ben or Sam did it and Ben would think Emily or Sam did it but slowly Max would be taking over and then when Em would find out she was pregnant A G A I N he’d just offer to stay and help out

Bitter, reclusive, and snappy, Foxface is a bit of a hard tomcat to get along with. He’s long since lost that competitive cockiness he was infamous for when he was younger, and through his age and grief, has turned into a very confused, struggling tom. He often wonders about the idea of wandering off or joining another Clan, but his family keeps him rooted to FloodedClan. However, just because he struggled with loyalty to his Clan doesn’t mean he doesn’t value loyalty at all; he values loyalty to his friends and family above all, willing to put anything aside to see them happy (even if he does it begrudgingly). He can be quite the loving, affectionate tom once you break through his isolated exterior, and if you were a friend of his before his disappearance, he’ll be more than happy to reconnect with you.

Fox was born in an unhappy union between Lady, a blackmailing former kittypet, and Chubtail, a scrawny, anxious caretaker from FloodedClan. Chubtail had initially left the Clan after Lady became pregnant with their first kit, Plum, but shortly after, Lady became violent and calculating, manipulating and threatening Chubtail into staying with her; afterwards, Fox was born, and Plum was old enough to give Chubtail enough time to escape back to her own Clan. After Lady passed away, Plum took care of Fox, and the young kitten looked up to his brother with all the awe in the world – “I wanna be just like you when I grow up, Plum! A brave, honor-bubble tom!” (Don’t blame him – he couldn’t pronounce honorable). And Plum doted on Fox just as much, travelling with him over vast territories.

When Fox was about five moons old, he and Plum heard rumors of three colonies of cats, settled down in the water-like areas, so Plum took Fox with him to go and investigate, hoping to find a new home for them. Unfortunately, a storm was raging when they got to FloodedClan territory; the lake had flooded, waters were swirling, and Plum dropped Fox off on the highest ground he could find. After spotting a group of cats making their way in the horizon to a safe spot, Plum ordered Fox to stay on the mound of earth and plunged into the water, trying to make his way to the group; he stood no chance against the stormy water. Fox had to watch on in horror as the only family he had ever known disappeared beneath the surface of the swirling water.

The next morning, Fox was plucked up and taken back to FloodedClan, where a sweet caretaker he had never seen before took him in, raising him and another tortoiseshell kitten – Spiderkit. The caretaker introduced themself as Chubtail.

Eventually, Foxkit grew to Foxpaw, and he had formed a happy little family on his own; he saw Chubtail as the mother he never had, Spiderpaw as the brother he lost, Slugkit as a sister he could boss around, and even bossy Lichenfoot. They were his family – and that little family branched out to other Clans too, starting with Kestrelpaw in RushingClan and Beetlepaw in MarshClan. Everything was going fine – until the war struck, and Foxpaw had to come to terms with two realizations: Chubtail was actually his blood-related parent, and Plum had not only survived his drowning endeavor, but survived and went straight to MarshClan. With no memory of who Foxpaw was.

Shortly after receiving his warrior cat name, Foxface was off, grieving and hurt, angered, frustrated – all the synonyms you can think of. He took off with the rest of his FloodedClan family, only to come back moons later, on the wish of Slugpaw. While the group had been travelling, Spiderstorm left to settle into a comfortable kittypet life, and Slugpaw and Foxface’s relationship began to strain; the young molly began to regret leaving FloodedClan, and, after a few heated arguments, convinced Foxface to turn around and head back. Now, the group is back in FloodedClan – Slugpaw received her warrior name as Slugnose, Foxface returned to his previous position warrior, and Chubtail retired to the elders den. Slugnose and Foxface, unfortunately, have yet to rebuild their family relationship, and Foxface has grown reclusive and avoided most of his Clanmates since arriving home.

Sikey’s eyes snapped up to glare wide-eyed at Baxter, as if shocked by the verbal audacity he had to even utter such a sentence; her round, dark cheeks grew darker as an angry flush spread across them. She opened her mouth, as if to shout back at Baxter, before clamping it shut; she whipped around and stormed away, feet stamping loudly across the tiled floor as she stomped her way towards the table. Baxter watched as Sikey practically flung herself in the open area of the bench that was designated as her seat; she shoved her tray towards the center of the table, arms folding where it once was and her head dropping to hide her face under. The table’s mood shifted, faces growing concerned as they tried to reach out to Sikey – Baxter couldn’t hear what they were saying, but he could see their mouths moving. Isabella extended her arm across the table, one hand resting in Sikey’s black hair, while Grey scrambled around the table and settled in a seat next to Sikey, leaning her shoulder against the hunched girl’s shoulder.

Baxter felt a twist in his stomach – guilt? Why would he feel guilty? – but he didn’t harp on it, or he didn’t have the time to, at least. One kid behind him shoved him, right between his shoulder blades, and huffed, “Move forward! You’re holding up the line!”

Bossy and loud, Slugnose may lack eyesight, but she doesn’t let that bother her! She knows how to take charge of any situation, and unfortunately, she can be quite hot headed – it’s either her way or the high way. She can be selfish, easily annoyed, and – as stated before - bossy, and she’s not one to let people slide on their mistakes; she’s undyingly loyal, however, and since she’s returned to FloodedClan, she’s devoted to working her tail off for this Clan. She’s diligent and hardworking, and rather clever. Slugnose is well aware that she can’t complete certain tasks the same way others can – her aim will always be a little bit off, no matter how hard she’s tried, but she’s learned how to work together. With her excellent tracking skills (she prides herself on her intense sniffer), Slugnose can track down anything – cat or pray – so she tends to take someone with her, lead them to the source, and work with them to complete the task.

Long before Slugnose was born, a molly named Thistlecloud was constantly urged by her parents to settle down and bring kits into FloodedClan – not because they wanted to see her start a family, but because they wanted to ensure that their bloodline carried on and that FloodedClan still had another generation of future warriors or caretakers to defend their Clan. Thistlecloud didn’t exactly want kits – she wasn’t a mother, nor did she ever see herself as being a mother; one day, she met up with her MarshClan friend – Quailfoot – and caved, explaining everything that had been happening. The two came to a mutual agreement and spent the night together intimately, but not without regret. After Thistlecloud had become pregnant, as expected, the friendship between the two grew rocky, and eventually the young molly cut ties with her old friend due to the discomfort and awkwardness in the friendship. When she had Slugkit, she went straight back to her warrior duties – leaving the kitten for the caretakers; Chubtail took Slugkit in, nurturing her as if she were their own.

And Slugkit grew to be Slugpaw with their own family – Chubtail, Foxface, Spiderstorm, and Lichenfoot, her mentor, whom she viewed as a sister figure. But family sticks together, so when Foxface wanted to leave, Slugpaw sucked up her feelings and went with her older brother figure, staying with her family as they left; after Spiderstorm left the group, settling down in a kittypet life with a pretty feline they had met, Slugpaw began to grow restless and, more importantly, resentful. Arguments and fights began to break out between Foxface and Slugpaw about when they would be going home, and after one particularly bad fight, Slugpaw convinced Foxface to head back. So the group did.

She returned to FloodedClan – earned her warrior cat name shortly after, and now continues to work for the Clan as she did before.

Belly Acres I’ve created this based on older posts about patios here, here, and here, and many, many more. While those other blog posts give a bit more commentary on the patios and have more pictures, this post you’re reading right now is meant to be more of a big reference list of patios. I have added *dog friendly if the restaurants allowed leashed dogs on their patios. Some of these patios are big, some are tiny, some are just table or two, some are covered or partially enclosed, and some patios are not. I can’t control when a restaurant decides to open their patio or not, so call ahead if you have a doubt. Many of these places technically do allow smoking outside, so call ahead if that’s a dealbreaker for you. If there’s a place I think you’re likely to encounter smoking, I’ve made that note.
