waking up with neuvillette is usually one type of morning or the other, you feel. some mornings are filled with the both of you hastily rushing for work. while neuvillette is typically calm, composed, and is able to take his time in the morning... you, on the other hand, often do not experience that luxury. most mornings are equated with your hands haggardly slamming the alarm button on your phone, until you're left with fifteen minutes to get up and get out of the house.

on occasions, neuvillette takes the time to prepare breakfast for the both of you – pain au chocolats and fresh milk that are delivered by the faithful melusines often grace your dining table, and fresh loaves of bread from the bakery of hotel debord are quickly paired with the coldest, saltiest slabs of butter.

on the other side of your relationship's shared mornings, you and neuvillette get to lay cosily beneath your covers, nestled in warmth. you tiredly turn to glance at him, still clad in his silk pajamas, and his still-sleeping face leaning towards you.

"good morning, my dear," you whisper, gently running your fingers through his hair. at this point... who cares if he wakes up. not you. his hair is so, so soft – too soft for you to remove it.

your hands suddenly draw back when a tired groan is heard. a groan so soft, perhaps only one of your dear melusines could have heard it. neuvillette mumbles something and turns away from you.

"dearest. isn't it about time to wake up? surely the great chief justice of fontaine would never be seen sleeping in," a teasing lilt fills your voice. your fingers reach to run through his hair again, soothing and quieting any murmurs you hear.

your fleece blanket is pulled off his torso, and neuvillette opts for the coverage of his pillow instead. whatever coverage it could lend to the cold of the room, anyways.

you spot the slightest hint of a smile on your beloved's face as he exhales lightly, mimicking his sleeping position earlier – the smile vanishes as quickly as it appears.

"get up. with the rate you're sleeping in, rufina would have eaten all the croissants on their way here!" you remove the pillow as well. neuvillette's hands make their way up to shield his eyes.

"can't your most beloved get a bit more shut-eye before his work?" neuvillette blinks at you, the smile returning to his features.

"crime and villainy do not have the day off, and so justice must work round the clock as well. isn't that right, chief justice? plus, i'm sure your little melusines miss their papa. it wouldn't do for them to spend so much time away from you," you tease once more, moving from the bed to open the windows.

fresh air fills the room, the petrichor scent of last night's rain – you and neuvillette had been watching a rather emotional film – wafts through the windows as well. fontaine's skies have been painted with a beautiful blue, and the grounds a vivid green. you hear the melodies of birds and the conversations of the swans and ducks from the lake; yes, it's morning once more in fontaine. dawn's light streams in through the windows once more.

"alright, alright – i'm up." neuvillette pretends to grouch, standing up and making his way to your side, wrapping his arms around you. "good morning, my sweet dove."

BakuSquad Cooking Mishaps

Katsuki Bakugo

In Bakugos words, it was less of a mishap and more of an experiment. Which in reality it was him trying to make really spicy chicken

Bakugo’s “Super Spice” was a combination of a shit load of spicy stuff, put it all in the blender…. The blender blew up

Safe to say Aizawa forbid him from cooking in the kitchen for a long while, he also had to clean the kitchen for 2 weeks, mainly bc that’s how long it took to get all the spice mixture out of some crevasses

Bakugo did demand thank you’s from all the sick students bc the smell cleared their sinuses

Ejiro Kirishima

Kirishima was taking cooking classes as he told Bakugo that he’d be the cook while he was doing his work study

While cooking spaghetti for the class he put the pot on the stove and threw the spaghetti in

He was half way through making the sauce when he and the others started smelling something burning

He opened the oven expecting it to be the garlic bread he threw in a few minutes ago, to checking everything before finally looking at the pot and seeing that he put no water in the pot and the spaghetti noodles started to burn away

From the on Bakugo started making the food earlier if he had something to do at his work study

Denki Kaminari

Denki was baking with Sato, having fun learning to bake shit and doing his own thing

Sato had to run out of the kitchen to go to the store to grab some vanilla extract which left Denki in the kitchen…alone

Denki put everything that he needed into the bowl, doing very well, he chopped up the fruits on the cutting board…oven beeped letting everyone around, know that it was pre heated.

Denki threw the fruits in and continued mixing the cake batter, adding in some sprinkles and other candies to make it known that he was the one who made it

Sato gets back and runs into the kitchen and sees Denki searching frantically for the fruit he had chopped up.

“Hey Sato! I made the cake batter just can’t find the fruit” Sato let him search alone, figuring he must’ve ate them and was coming up with an excuse when he seen that the oven was fully pre heated

“Kaminari, did you put anything’s into the oven?” Denki turned around and looked at the oven and his eyes widened

The inside of the oven was on fire and the cutting board was melted.

Mina Ashido

He and the girls were making cupcakes for everyone, having the time of their lives, playing music and eating frosting

Everyone had a job, Mina’s was making the batter. She was on a roll, making a whole batch worth of batter in minutes

She had everything she needed next to her little work station, the other girls doing there stuff.

The flour next to the sugar, the salt in between them, the eggs next to the milk, the vanilla extract next to the butter. The whisk sitting comfortably in the bowl the counter having some batter from Mina getting a little too rowdy

She added everything she need, the flour, the small amount of salt that was need the 2-3 eggs, the milk and vanilla extract.

She passed the batter off to Tsu who put them in the tin and passed them off to Uraraka who put them in the oven.

After Uraraka took them out and passed them to Yayorozou who took them out of the tin and put the wrappings on it and passed it off to Jiro who frosted them and gave them to Hagakure who decorated them and put them off a plate.

Oncethey finished they all took one and unlucky for most of them they got the saltiest cupcake ever. Mina mixed up the sugar with salt and had to taste all the cupcakes and make whole new batches.

Hanta Sero

He was casually making himself grilled cheese for lunch, got a can of tomato soup out to because why the hell not.

He started cooking the soup as he buttered the pan for the grilled cheese. He’s got the bread and cheese out.

He’s confident, ready to get his food and go back to his room to watch marvel movies. He placed the knife down on the edge of the pan as he threw down the bread on the pan along with the cheese and last piece of bread.

Sero’s grabbing a spatula to flip the grill cheese then the smell of burning plastic hit him. Confused he started looking around. Then his eyes landed on it

Sero wasn’t even high yet, he planned to be during his marvel movie marathon but right now he was fine and yet he stilled used a plastic knife and left it on the hot pan under his grilled cheese

He had to scrap the melted plastic off the pan and make a whole new grilled cheese and had to eat it with lukewarm tomato soup

First off, we got possible my favourite biblically inaccurate bunny so far... Idol blue! (Design credits to the awesomest yet saltiest white bread around! @saltiestbread)

BUNNY DESIGN: Body is a dark blue, which fades to a lighter shade as it moves towards the belly. Little star speckles covering whole body, with two light golden stripes across the side. Two golden zig zag marks on face. Blue bandana around right ear, and right ear having two golden bone ear rings. Left ear has 'TACO' branded on it. Eyes with light blue star light reflection, and light blue eyeshadow. Hind leg is light blue, with golden lining. Tail is star button, with smaller crescent moon button next to it.

this one was the hardest, as Kleki crashed half way through! Design was made by the super talented @tuxibirdie!

BUNNY DESIGN: Dark brown body, with golden little sun's all over it. Two front legs are a somewhat transparent gray, and the hind one is a pastal yellow with golden lining. Golden crown just below firey sun set ears, which fade from a yellow to a dark purple. Back of the bunny is pastel yellow, with golden lining. Tail is belt charm. Which is golden sun and moon.

...why did I commit myself to describing their designs?

Firstly, the design was by zucchiyeni!

Second: Okay... let's do this. Face is purple, with colourful triangle pattern covering body. Various zig zags and zippers are located on the body as well, with green splotches covering it too. Hat with spikes on tail, YOLO glasses, chains hanging off ears. There's three charms in each ear, and uhh yeah.

SO all these bunnies are designs based off the Idol AU, made by @zucchiyeni! I challenged myself to turn all of them into bunnies. And I'm almost done!

Last ones (that I know of) already Error, and I need to wait till the new nightmare is out! ^^

After this, I'm taking the undertale sans AU Fandom by storm with biblically inaccurate bunnies.

A scent you love: - sandalwood. i could be in the saltiest, shittiest, most tin-foil-chewing mood and upon smelling this, i would relax from grievous homicide to involuntary manslaughter. which is a very tortured metaphor but it's a weird day for me. suffice to say i love sandalwood.

What's something you're looking forward to this week? - i would dearly love to write this weekend. been wanting to actually get something actualised before the weather starts thinking of hoodies and pumpkin spice lattes. also i need to go to the library because i need new music; mine's getting rather stale.

What's a book you're currently reading? - i am so very sorry to say that i have not read an actual book in *mumblemumble* amount of time. a few years back i had sort of run dry on books that i was enjoying, and my tastes changed; i dove into fanfic and haven't really looked back since. it is still scratching that itch that i can't really describe. to be quite honest i think the last book-book i read was the latest Dresden Files instalment--and before anyone comes for me, yes, i am quite aware of Butcher's...uh. writing tells, let's call them. man's become a pastiche of himself, tell the truth.

What's a game you're currently playing? - The Outer Worlds, for, like, the fifth time. love Parvati; that woman can do no wrong in my eyes. tried doing a Board-bootlicker run a while back and then she looked at me all disappointed and my contrition knew no end. and i adore Felix wholeheartedly because that Labrador of a boy is the purest of heart and dumbest of ass and he makes me smile. ...also, i'm just killing time until next week when i can get my narsty little gremlin hands on Baldur's Gate 3.

What's the most recent movie you watched? - Nimona. if you haven't seen it, drop what you're doing and watch it immediately. now. go. why are you still sitting there? go watch it! okay, no, seriously--why aren't more films made like this? it doesn't talk down to kids or families (or anyone else for that matter), it is wholly unashamed of its emotions and finds joy in showing them (even the messier ones), the art is beautiful and vibrant and isn't half-arsed and crap CGI stitched with hand-drawn; it has a fantastic message, and when Ballister said 'I see you, Nimona,' i sat here and fucking bawled.

Are you watching anything on TV or listening to any shows? - i recently finished S3 of The Witcher on Netflix, and...well, i think i'd have to watch again to really start to pick at it and why it didn't particularly vibe for me (the nonsense with Radovid and Jaskier aside; i mean...Radovid? really? blech). i haven't read the books but i am familiar with the lore, but the writing seems to be so uncertain of itself this season, all over the place and muddled. and with production on pause (not just for TWN, obviously), i'm more than a little uncertain of Liam Hemsworth's stepping into the very big boots Cavill's leaving behind. the bar has been set pretty high; i'd say this of any actor, frankly. as for podcasts, i am sooooooo far behind on listening that i think i would have to start many over. i had been listening to Bahumia Two: Electric Boogaloo on NADDPod but that was months ago. my problem is that i have to be in the mindset to listen to pods (side effect of the ADHD), and right now the mindset is 'put on youtube vids or Japanese lo-fi and read fic in your downtime.' how long this will last is anyone's guess.

Favourite season? - autumn, by far. and i don't mean the soft Pinterest moodboard aesthetic type; i mean the frost upon the windowpane when you wake up in the morning but you don't turn the heat on yet because by noon it'll have warmed up enough kind. i mean the mixing of baking bread, strong coffee, herbal tea and the faintest whiff of cigarette smoke. the knowledge that the wind is just on the edge of turning biting and that its teeth will only grow sharper in a month; when you swap out your summer clothes for woolen blankets and soft pants; when you dig out the thicker yarns and the puzzles and rearrange your spooky house bric-a-brac to take pride of place. that kind of autumn.

What's something you've learned recently? - i have learnt factoids and things that would serve me well at pub trivia, but nothing that would serve to make an interesting infodump. not really. all the stuff i infodump about lately is fandom-adjacent and makes my husband's eyes glaze over.

Have you had any water lately? - yes! i drink water on the regular, interspersed with Baja Blast since summer is hanging on by a thread.

so my friends and I will occasionally have "Kroger breakdowns" where we get together after a very stressful time, go to the grocery store, and buy whatever sounds good in the moment to eat while we complain, maybe drink or get high, and watch the same youtube videos for the 10th time. We always get ice cream cake and sushi, but some other things I remember include cherries, garlic bread, cookie dough, spicy doritos, and pizza. What are your food choices for a complain-fest?

ice cream cake sounds amazing, along with garlic bread and cookie dough and pizza. mine would also be a huge pot of mac and cheese and probably a giant thing of reese's and possibly the saltiest of snacks. i don't have much of a sweet tooth but i crave salt and cheese. (oddly enough, not a huge fan of cheetos. strange.)

i must do these complain-fests because they sound wholesome and delicious

Did I ever tell y’all I actually had Parma ham wrapped chicken at a restaurant in Belfast like four years ago and it was the saltiest most vile thing possible. Also I did not know in Europe they charge you for bread so I paid 10 pounds for a bread basket. Thanks, LARRY.

also!! i love a truffle oil on pizza, or at least on cheese bread. my partner often brings me home a truffle cheese bread when i am not feeling super hungry, and i dip it in just a plain marinara base, which i enjoy a lot. i'm not vegan but i like vegan food, and so it is always exciting to try new things! c: or at least i'm trying, now that i am an old maid.

honestly as long as no one tells me what is on a pizza there is a good chance i will eat it, but i also do not love the idea of putting fish on pizza. i would probably eat a breakfast pizza with salmon on it, though. i feel like that would not be too bad, haha!
