The Boy’s a Liar / bfd!Negan x Reader / no-apocalypse AU 🧟
Warnings: daddy kink, breeding kink, boyfriendsdad!negan, oral (female receiving) use of belt, squirting, swearing, use of degrading names, general Negan ness, voyerism, unprotected sex, reader is a little evil to her boyfriend : NOT PROOFREAD YET
Summary: Reader finds out her boyfriend cheated on her via a Snapchat story, she takes sweet revenge with her boyfriend’s hot as fuck dad.
A/N: I’ve never wrote for breeding kink before so please be kind lol 🤍 I had a lot of fun with this one!
“Fucking waste of my damn time.” You cursed yourself, boys are so stupid. You couldn’t stop watching the Snapchat story of your boyfriend’s best friend, your boyfriend so obviously kissing a woman that wasn’t you. Not a care in the world, disrespecting you and the values you held in a loyal relationship. You didn’t know it this was a common occurrence that you just hadn’t noticed or a drunken one off. Not that it mattered, it was still a betrayal of your trust.
Eyes glossy with tears, you were driving towards your boyfriend’s house that he shared with his father, Negan. You didn’t even have a speech prepared, what you were going to say, if this was the final nail in the coffin of your relationship, your mind was running at a mile a minute.
Pulling into the driveway, you turned off the engine and put your car keys into your handbag, getting out and walking with purpose to the front door, your heels slamming on the concrete floor. You knocked on the door loudly, no answer. You knocked again, your hand shaking with annoyance.
The door finally opened but it wasn’t your boyfriend who stood before you, it was Negan.
“Hey doll, what you doing here so early? I was just making breakfast if you wanted any?” He offered before he took a proper look at your face, noticing the black tears of mascara that ran softly down your face.
“I don’t know what kind of fucked up morals you’ve taught your son, Negan, but I thought you were a better man. Obviously I was wrong.” You said with spite, you were letting your feelings be known to anyone who would listen. It was just unfortunate that it was the wrong person to direct your anger towards.
Technically, Negan hadn’t done anything wrong, but he was guilty by association in your current messed up state. You just needed to vent at someone, and Negan was the closest person to your boyfriend.
“Woah, doll? What’s wrong, what’s he done?” Negan moved aside so you could come in, walking towards the kitchen, the smell of fresh bacon and egg filling your nostrils. You placed your handbag on the kitchen counter, arms crossed, your hand playing with your necklace.
“He went out last night and he kissed a girl, I saw it on his friend’s Snapchat.” You managed to get out through a small sob, your eyes filling up with tears again. You couldn’t believe you were crying like this in front of his dad, you felt embarrassed.
“Jesus Christ, I’m sorry dollface, I didn’t raise the kid to do shit like that, we are loyal to our women.” Negan sighed, his hand running through his salt and pepper beard, trying to find the words to make the pain in your heart go away. His eyes watched you as you grabbed a tissue from the box placed on the dining table, using your front phone camera as a mirror to wipe your tears away.
“You know what though, it might be a blessing in disguise.” Your head whipped around to give him a look of disbelief, in what world could this be a blessing? “What the fuck do you mean, my boyfriend cheated on me? How could that even remotely be a blessing?!” Feeling your anger building up again, Negan walked around to your side of the counter, towering over you, his head coming down to whisper in your ear. “Oh please, Y/N. Don’t think I haven’t noticed the way you look at me, remember that party a couple months ago, goddamn doll, you couldn’t take your eyes off my dick in them swim shorts.” He gave a small laugh, his hand coming up to tuck your hair behind your ear, his eyes watching your chest raise with each breath you took. “You need a real man to take care of you, I heard you with him. I’m experienced enough to know when a woman is faking it to spare a man’s feelings.” Your eyes met with his, how on earth could he tell. You couldn’t even deny it, while your boyfriend was good enough, he was too soft with you, complaining when you’d asked him to just choke you a little bit. He didn’t want to accidentally hurt you, he’d said, your eyes rolling in annoyance.
“How the fuck do you know that?” You asked, his cologne hitting you in the face as he got ever so closer to you. “Like I said doll, I know women. You want to be played with don’t you? You want someone who knows how to please you properly, give into it doll. I could give you all the pleasure you’d ever need.” You let out a soft moan, knowing this was wrong but your petty nature taking over, not only was this such an evil way to get back at him, you longed for Negan. He was right on the nose with how you looked at him, you’d always found him attractive, just trying to stop yourself from jumping his bones whenever the two of you were around each other.
“Fuck it, I’ve always wanted to know what your cock feels like, deep inside me.” You whispered out, your hands wrapping around Negan’s neck as he captured your lips in a kiss. His hands finding their way to your ass, squeezing the round globes hard.
He lifted you up, walking towards the stairs. “I’m going to have you begging for mercy when I’m finished with you doll.”
It was almost animalistic, months of repressed attraction coming to a conclusion. You’d never have even thought about your late night fantasies coming true, until this very moment that they had. Negan kicked the door to his bedroom open, not bothering to close it behind him. Placing you on the bed, his hands grabbing the bottom of his t-shirt to pull it over his head revealing his toned torso and arms, his tattoo that you loved so much coming into view.
Your hands started to feel up on his chest, wanting skin to skin contact with him so desperately. You tried to sit up a little to take your tank top off but Negan stopped you in your tracks, slamming your arms down above your own head. “Don’t you fucking dare doll, that’s my job.” A dark look coming across his face, he ripped the tank top off you hastily. His eyes glued to your bare chest, you hadn’t bothered to put a bra on today, in a sleepy haze just wanting to get over here to question your boyfriend. “Such beautiful breasts doll, he’s going to regret giving you up.” Negan stated as he took one of your erect nipples into his mouth, a soft bite as he did. You moaned out, watching his every move, his eyes locked to yours.
Leaning up, Negan unbuckled your belt sliding it out of your jean loops, grabbing your hands, wrapping the belt around your wrists as your hands were placed back above your head. The leather tight and digging into your skin, only turning you on more, heat rushing to your pussy. Negan took the time to unbutton your jeans, pulling them down your legs revealing your small black thong that left little to the imagination, pulling them to the side, Negan licked a strip starting from your opening to the top, focusing his attention on your throbbing clit. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head, your boyfriend never took the time to ever focus on your pleasure, either because he couldn’t be bothered or he just didn’t care, you didn’t know.
You felt the extra wetness as Negan spat right on your pussy, bringing his fingers to slowly enter you. Starting at a slow, agonising pace he could feel your body relaxing as you let your body give in to the pleasure you were feeling. You wanted nothing more than to grip onto his hair, but your bound hands didn’t allow it. As he felt you relax, he quickened his pace up, moans leaving your lips loud and clear. “Such beautiful noises for me slut, and I know these are real.” You felt your core tightening as you kept building up wave after wave of pleasure, you’d never even realised you could get so close to orgasm so fast, Negan caught on to this and took his fingers out of you, dripping in your juices. He forced his fingers into your mouth, you sucking the wetness off like it was your last meal.
“You fucking dirty girl, you like the way you taste?” He asked, his fingers still in your mouth as he pulled his shorts down, revealing his boxers to you. “Yes, I love it so much. I need to fill me up Negan, ruin me please.” You managed to get out through heavy breathing and his fingers. He chuckled, manoeuvring your body so you were on all fours, facing the mirrored closet doors, next to the entrance of the bedroom. “I’m going to fuck you so dumb baby girl, you’ll forget your own name when I’m done with you. Going to get you drunk on my cock. You won’t even want another man to touch you.” You whimpered, seeing Negan pulling his large cock out of his boxer shorts, them falling to the ground. His tip was red, leaking with precum, standing erect. He looked like a Greek god, his posture so manly and authoritative. He lined up at your opening and wasted no time, starting at a hard and fast pace. “Oh my god, Negan yes! Fuck!” Your nails dug into your own hands, the leather of the belt still digging into you causing pain but you didn’t care, the feeling was too good to complain. Your toes curled with pleasure in your heels, Negan’s hands gripped on your hips like he was holding on for dear life. “Shit doll, you feel so fucking good, so tight for Daddy.” You eyes widened at the nickname, you’d always wanted to experiment with a daddy kink but he’d never allow it, said it made him feel weird. You couldn’t believe how much this man was filling your darkest fantasies, you felt like maybe your boyfriend cheating was a blessing in disguise after all. Negan’s hand came down to slap your ass, the motion leaving a good red mark on your cheek. You looked towards the large mirrors in front of you, seeing Negan’s body go through the motions, his hips bucking against your ass as he fucked you deep. “Yes daddy, I’m so tight for you, you feel so good inside me.”
Neither you or Negan heard the front door open, your boyfriend finally getting back from his night out, guilt filling him up as he remembered what had happened last night. He knew that what he did was wrong, that kissing that woman was wrong. Still tired and hungover, he at first thought his imagination was playing tricks on him when he heard moaning coming from upstairs, he didn’t think his dad was dating anyone, a look of confusion coming onto his face. He made his way up the stairs, looking through the open gaps of the banister, his features wrinkling in disgust and disbelief when he saw you, head thrown back in pleasure as you met Negan’s thrusts in a timed motion. He rushed up the whole flight of stairs until he got to the door.
“What the fuck is happening here?!” You heard the voice of your boyfriend, your eyes opening with a gasp, you thought Negan would stop, embarrassed that the two of you had been caught in such a way but he went even faster in and out of you, your hands trying to grab some of the blanket that was at the end of the bed, failing miserably due to the fact of your hands being bound together.
“Hey son, just treating your girl to a proper fuck, you were stupid as fuck to let this one go, she’s one dirty fucking girl! Maybe this will teach you not to go round sticking your dick in other women when you’ve got an absolute diamond at home. Now stand there and watch boy.” Negan laughed, your eyes meeting with your boyfriend, you couldn’t help with the moan that escaped your lips as Negan moved down to grab your chin, his head coming to the side of your ear. “Tell him doll, tell him how good daddy’s fucking you.” You smirked, looking out the corner of your eyes to look at Negan. “So fucking good daddy, filling me up, better than he ever could. Please keep fucking me like this daddy.” You whimpered, your lips meeting with Negan as he kept his eyes open, staring at his son.
Your boyfriend didn’t know what to do, he rushed out of the room, slamming the front door behind him as he was trying to gather his thoughts together.
“That was so fucking dirty doll, oh my goodness! I can feel you getting close girl, let yourself cum all over my cock. I want to finish inside you, fill your body with my baby.” You screamed out as your orgasm took over your body, black spots coming into your vision. Your pussy felt like it had a death grip on Negan’s cock, his thrusts coming to slower pace as he let you ride out your orgasm. “Pull out of me, I want to ride you daddy.” Negan didn’t need any more encouragement as he pulled out of you, lying down on his back as you dug your heels into the mattress, sat on top of him. “Be careful with those things, don’t want a hole in my mattress dollface. You look fucking good in them though, sexy as fuck.” He said, as he shoved his cock into your dripping hole. You bounced up and down, even with your orgasm taking energy out of you, you couldn’t stop, you needed Negan like a hardcore drug. His musk mixing with a light sheen of sweat over your bodies. Negan’s hands gripped your ass as he directed your body as you grind into his hips, your second orgasm building up in your core. His cock filling you up, “That’s it baby, bounce on daddy’s cock for me, I want to see my seed dripping out of you.” You quickened your pace, feeling Negan’s cock twitching in you. “That’s it daddy, fill me up with your seed, I want you to fill my pussy up daddy!” You screamed out, uncaring about neighbours being able to hear you, you were too cock-drunk to care. Negan growled, his seed spurting out in you, his hands gripped your hips like a vice, his breathing heavy. You came to your end as well, gushing all over his cock, wetting the bed below you and Negan’s stomach as you squirted for the first time ever in your life. You moaned louder than ever, falling to the side of Negan, his flaccid cock sitting on top of his torso. You both were spent, the only thing that could be heard in the room was heavy breathing. Negan got up slowly from the bed, he released you from the belt, your wrists red and sore. He grabbed a small towel from the on-suite bathroom, cleaning you up from your squirt wetness. He laid back next to you, his arm coming over you to pull you closer, a sloppy kiss on your lips. “Life is never going to be the same again after this doll. Shit, I know it’s wrong to ask but leave him, I’ll treat you better than that stupid boy.” You looked at him, a smile coming across your face. “Negan, you could ask me to do anything right now and I’d say yes, that was the best fuck of my life, Daddy.”
Negan laughed and slapped your ass as he caught you in another sensual kiss.

Since orange is not as aggressive as red, it can actually stimulate brain activity. It is very useful to catch someone's attention, which is why it's used a lot to advertise food and toys.

In Western cultures, the colour white also represents purity and virginity, while it symbolizes mourning in some East Asian cultures. Usually has positive connotations when used and thought of as safe. Associated a lot with healing, simplicity and sterility, which is why it's used in hospitals and healing centers as much as it is. Clean, white clothes and linens show sterility since stains are easily visible. That’s why doctors and nurses frequently wear white lab coats and scrubs.
Yellow. Writers may use the colour yellow to symbolize creativity, happiness, optimism, and warmth—think of a yellow ray of sunlight poking out from a dark cloud. A common negative connotation of the color yellow is cowardice, popularized by the phrase “yellow-bellied.” Warming effect which stimulates body and mind. Gold is associated with the highest of luxury. When bright yellow is used with black it's one of the easiest colour combinations to see from long distances; when uses with lighter colours it's not so easy to see. Yellow ribbons are worn as a symbol of hope and used quite often to welcome home loved ones. Yellow is the colour of warmth, kindness, and happiness. It’s often associated with optimism and well-being and promotes energy.
Brown. This warm, earthy brown colour may symbolize dependability, comfort, and a sense of being grounded. Brown is also a neutral colour, and writers may use it to represent dullness and predictability. Brown is a colour that is related to very grounded traits such as simplicity, practicality, common sense and hard work. Can also be associated with those that are frugal and not too flashy.
Gray. Lighter grays are often thought of as more feminine while darker grays more masculine. Gray is considered by many to be a neutral colour; the perfect balance between light and dark / good and evil. Pop up the lighter grays and add a little shine to it, and thought immediately turns to silver, which correlates to wealth.

requested | part of my 2023 prompts event [closed]
there's something so primal and enticing about your leader taking a life to protect the crew at all costs
[❛ shut up and kiss me already. ❜ + ❛ and where do you think you’re going? ❜]
TUMBLR IS BASED ON REBLOGS. PLEASE REBLOG MY WORK 🖤
They called you the pirates of the concrete seas. Bank’s safes were your treasure chests and the streets were your ocean. You were pillaging and robbing bank after bank. Outlaws always on the run, looking for the next big shiny thing. You always found the name kind of cheesy but in the end it suited your group pretty well. Not worrying about tomorrow, living off the money you stole and drinking until sunrise.
Hongjoong, your captain, reigned over the concrete seas like an almighty and ruthless king. He only had two things in mind. Keeping the crew together and get the gold.
That’s exactly what you were about to do.
When Yunho parked the van outside the bank. Hongjoong revised one last time the plan of action before everybody slipped on their mask. You felt the adrenaline course through your veins, keeping your head into unwavering focus.
You all worked like well oiled machinery. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing. Seonghwa and Yeosang were breaking into the safe. Jongho and San gathered the hostages. Wooyoung and Mingi stuffed the bags full of cash while you were in charge of communication. Making sure everyone played their role and the plan went accordingly.
Hongjoong had the most important role. He had to make sure everyone stayed calm.
And when it went south Hongjoong was the one that had to make sure every single member of the crew came out unharmed.
So when Wooyoung got caught one the guard as you were rushing out with the booty, Hongjoong had to step in. The guard held your younger crewmate one arm hooked around his neck, the other holding a gun to his temple.
San threw a deadly eye to Jongho who let the guard slip out of his grasp. Wooyoung let a guttural cry as the guard pressed harder on his neck.
“Freeze” the middle aged man shouted. Aim alternating between Wooyoung’s head and Hongjoong standing right in front of him. The middle aged man was panting, large beads of sweat wetting his thick salt and pepper mustache.
“Let’s not do anything we could regret here” Hongjong said calmly, motioning for the rest of you to lower your weapons.
“You’re all gonna stay put until the cops arrive” the man panted, his eyes darting between all of you. His finger on the trigger became dangerously tense.
“Let him go” Hongjoong ordered in a stern yet tranquil voice.
“SHUT THE FUCK UP OR I’LL BLOW HIS BRAINS OUT” the guard shouted, pressing the canon of the gun into Wooyoung’s forehead, his hands desperatly clawing at the man’s forearm around his neck.
The sudden yelling made one of the bank employees cry and the guard turned his head to the noise. Breaking eye contact with Hongjoong was a fatal error.
The captain didn’t hesitate one second. He lightly tipped his face to the side and Wooyoung knew what to do. He imitated him and in a split second, the booming sound of Hongjoong’s weapon clattered in the large hall and the guard's face was ornamented with a gaping hole, blood splattering all over Wooyoung’s masks and clothes. The lifeless body thumped on the ground, waiting to get cold as you all rushed to the van.
You felt the adrenaline when Yunho was punching the gas and the van slalomed between the police cars and eventually lost them. That feeling of euphoria when you all took off the masks to laugh and shovel the cash out. This time there was enough that you could all bathe in it.
You were all playing in it. Mingi was shuffling the bills in his face while Yeosang and San danced in it. Crystal clear laughs resonating in the huge room.
Even Wooyoung seemed to have forgotten about the dried up blood on his clothes.
Then Jongho called from the big entry.
“Guys, let's go order some drinks” he yelled. All of the crew followed lead by Yeosang with you on their heels.
“And where do you think you’re going?” The captain asked as he put down his gun on the table.
“I was gonna go get a drink” you spoke.
“No i don’t think you are”
The captain’s face was unsoundable. Emotions perfectly gate kept behind his glacial features staring at you blankly.
Hongjoong motioned at Seonghwa, still waiting for you at the entrance to leave. So he gave you one last smile and closed the heavy door behind him.
Soon the laughs faded and you two were left in complete silence.
“Come here” Hongjoong motioned you to come closer, curling his index finger.
Hongjoong liked the adrenaline. It gave him a high that was incomparable to any other. Except one, the kind of high he could only experiment with you.
You approached him slowly, taking your time to prance to him like a panther about to pounce.
Hongjoong’s impenetrable face let through a small smirk pulling lightly at his lips.
“You asked for me, Captain?” you asked, voice already soaking with seductiveness.
“ Yes I want you to do me a favor” You lift a quizzical eyebrow. “Go over there” he pointed at the pile of wrinkled bills in the middle of the big hangar.
“Dance for me”
Hongjoong said before turning on slow sensual music from the speaker settled on the small table.
That was unexpected but you gladly obliged.
You reached the pile of money and started to seductively dance, swaying your hips to the rhythm. Your hands gliding from your thigh, slowly up your stomach and past the side of your breasts to rub your neck.
“Yes that’s it baby”. Hongjoong slowly walked up to you. Admiring you dance for him. The dance went he felt himself grow thicker for you.
“Strip” he ordered. Voice firm. Already a little lower than his usual tone. It reminded you of the voice he took before shooting that man right in the face and you felt your stomach stir in excitement.
You reached out for the hem of your tank top but Hongjoong clicked his tongue.
“Slowly baby. Nice and slow”
So you opted for the strap of your top instead. Slowly pulling at it.
“Yesss” Hongjoong pulled on the word, dragging it off his tongue. “Just like that”
He started to palm himself through his denim jeans. Rubbing circles on his member becoming more and more constricted in his clothes.
One by one you stripped out every article of clothing until you were only left in your underwear.
By the time you were done Hongjong’s cock looked like it was about to rip out his pants.
“Did I tell you to stop ?”
You could have gone back to slowly unclasping your bra but you didn’t. You didn’t feel like being good today. You wanted to infuriate him.
When Hongjoong saw you weren’t moving an inch he started to smirk. Even if it was fun to play with a good girl there was something so empowering in breaking you into his will. Resorting to any means to make you snap, to make you beg for him.
Taking his fate into his own hands was Hongjoong’s specialty after all.
He walked to you as you provocatively held his glacial gaze fixated on you.
His fingers grazed over your forearm going up your limb and reached your neck. His touch was gentle, lifting goosebumps on your naked skin. He gently wrapped his hand on your nape, pulling your face closer to his, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear.
“Did I tell you to stop, kitten?” he whispered, lips pulling into a wicked smirk, his grip onto your nape growing stronger.
The hot air in your ear sent a shiver down your spine. You felt his cool tongue slide over your ear, producing the lewd wet noises you loved so much. Already you felt your arousal pooling in your underwear.
“Shut up and kiss me already” you whispered, your fingers digging into his side. You didn’t really deserve it but you also knew Hongjoong couldn't resist you.
Immediately Hongjoong stepped back to have a good look at your face. You looked exactly like him, insatiable. That was why you two were such a good match.
The Joker and Harley Quinn.
Bonnie and Clyde.
Hongjoong crashed his lips onto yours. Your two bodies immediately going up in flames, burning passion coursing between you. You dug your nails further on his back, he smiled at the familiar sting while his hand left your nap to untangle around your hair. He gave a sharp pull earning a moan from your playful lips. You immediately retorted by catching Hongjongs’s bottom lips between your teeth. Hongoong groaned and smirked as you bit harder. Until you tasted his blood on the tip of your tongue. He immediately tightened his grip around your hair, pleasure burning on your scalp while his other hands pushed your hips onto his.
“Hmmm” Hongjoong moaned against your lips. Hand gliding from the small of your back to your thigh to your clothed center. Slender fingers applying just the right amount of pressure to your sensitive area. “My angel is not in the mood to be a good girl, is she?” he said, as he licked his own blood off your stained lips.
“No” you said with assurance. Pushing him as he stumbled back into the huge pile of wrinkled bills. You continued your infernal carousel by straddling him. You started to unbutton his white shirt that joined his fur coat laying at his sides. You licked your way down leaving a trail of burgundy kisses on his chest.
You started to palm him through his pants. You would have wanted to make him wait a little linger but you just couldn’t inflicted that to yourself. You wanted to see it. Without waiting anymore you unzipped his pants to get the aching member out. It joyfully sprung free before your avid eyes.
“So eager for me, angel?” Hongjoong mocked. You hated that he was right.
You grabbed the base with one hand while the other one teased the leaking slit at the head. One finger sliding up and down the head making Hongjoong hiss at every slow touch.
You briefly let go of the hand holding the base to spit in your palm and started jerking him off. Hongjoong growled as he felt the warm saliva mixing with his precum.
You snickered malovently when he started to pulse in your hand. Taking a malicious delight to slow down everytime he became more vocal. Driving him to the edge of sanity. Exactly where he feels comfortable, he’s been flirting with this edge since birth. Just as you have too. Two psychotic minds finding each other in folly.
Soon he can’t hold back anymore. His hand fly to yours catching them in a strong grip. You lift your eyes to meet his. He’s absolutely feral. Looking back at you like a rabid wolf. You’ve done it, you woke the beast. A side of him that was only for you. Only you who could bear to look in the face of his darkest side. The side that relished to hold the right of life or death at the end of his gun. That enjoyed spilling blood.
He grabbed the small knife strapped to your thigh with one movement he slipped the blade under between your breast cutting in a clean half your bra as it fell along your arms. He grabbed a handful of your breast while he slowly dragged the blade across your stomach. The cold metal lifted goosebumps on your skin until he reached your underwear.
You held your breath as he cut it, the blade running on your skin, lightly scratching you delicious, leaving a red trail behind it. He threw across the hangar the shreds of lace along with the blade. The metallic tinkling bouncing on the high ceiling.
With his newly free hand he grabbed you by the throat, a strangled moan leaving your mouth as anticipation pulled your lips into a smirk.
“I’m done playing” he growled, the threatening hold growing tighter. “Ride me now” he commanded as he pulled you up by the neck.
Your breath still restricted you manage to guide his length to your drenched center. His grip only loosened when you sunk your hips. Hongjoong's cock gliding so smoothly inside you. taking its rightful place deep inside your little cunt.
“That’s it baby” he praised, letting go of your throat to grip your thighs. “Make me feel good with that pretty pussy of yours”
You instantly bounced your hips up and down along his shaft. You both moaned and groaned without restraint. The sinful symphony resounding in the hangar.
“Faster baby” he ordered as he pinched one of your nipples. The burn encouraged you and you settled at a brutal pace. The familiar build up in your stomach rapidly progressing. You felt Hongjoong's thighs tighten under your own and you knew he was close too.
“Hongjoong… I’m-” you moaned. But as your mind went blank almost giving up to the pleasure you were interrupted. By a harsh slap on one of your breasts.
“No you’re not” Hongjoong slapped your tits again.
The sharp pain taking you by surprise and brings you back to him. Before you could protest Hongjoong flipped you on your back and he was above you.
“You’re here to make me feel good” he clarified as he entered you once again. You did not really have time to let the pressure go down. Pleasure picked up right where it left off. Your eyes rolled back into your head when he so deliciously filled you up again.
“Fuckkk” you cursed.
“Look at me” he said, he pulled on your hair again. Making your eyes snap back to him. “You cum when I tell you too”
You were way too close to your release to talk back with words but there was still one thing you could do.
Without even thinking in a sort of reflex you spat right into his face. Hongjoong’s shock pulled your lips into a satisfied smirk, an amused laugh almost escaping your lips but you don’t have time to.
“You fucking whore” he hissed though gritted teeth.
Immediately he starts to fuck you as brutally as he can. His hips smashing into yours. fucking you so deep and could feel him hamerring the imprint of his cock into your brain forever.
“You’re mine” he growled while he wrapped his hand around your neck once again this time completely preventing you from breathing. Taking this vital resource away from you. Soon you feel lightheaded, you feel like your body is defying gravity, losing its anchoring in the solid earth. The unspeakable pleasure dulling your other senses. In this moment there's only him and you. You and your captain's mindless bodies floating in this sea of cash.
“Cum now. Whore” His voice commanded and you released all over him soaking him and the bills under you while he delivered thick ropes of cum deep inside you, lazily spilling out of your clenching walls when he pulled out.
After a while of catching his breath he looked back at you.
“Let’s meet with the others I really need this drink”

YOUR OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE – 2023
It’s been three years since the pandemic, COVID-19 has taken a toll on many people. Millions have died over the past few years and you were one of the lucky ones who got by, survived, and received the vaccine as soon it was available. The world slowly begins to open up and awake from its slumber during those years of uncertainty.
So what do you do now?
You work, continue with your quantum physics research and try and make sense of your life. Someday you’ll be able to be under the mercy of light to choose your fate and your need to find certainties and concrete science. For now, you enjoy the comforting sounds of characters conversing with each other.
Immediately as the show credits show, you fold your laptop close and prepare for bed. Episode 3 of the Last of Us was the most emotional so far, Bill and Frank’s story reminds you that love will transverse in every universe. With these tired eyes, you’ve seen enough for tonight. Your eyes slowly droop down and close, luring you into a deep sleep in a state of wishful thinking, hoping that you would have that kind of love in your life. But for now, the watercolor vivid dreams will suffice.
TLOU WORLD – 2023
You groggily wake up and find yourself on the floor. Slowly as you sit up, you use one of your hands to rub away the sleep, “What the hell,” you mumble. The anxiety begins to creep in, you recognize the coloring of the walls and the type of flooring used.
You look down at yourself to check what you’re wearing, no longer in your sleep clothes but traded away for cargo pants, a shirt, socks, and black boots. What’s more concerning was the familiar voices just outside the tattered room you were in.
“There’s not gonna be anything bad in here?”
A gruff response comes, “Just you.”
“Oh, funny.”
No. God, no way. This is not happening. This isn’t possible. You must be dreaming, right? You quickly stand up, and as soft footsteps come closer, you see Ellie staring at you with complete shock, “Holy shit!” she screams.
The thundering thumps of footsteps quickly make their way into the room as you stand there in complete shock. Your eyes widen in shock as you are now face to face with the characters you’ve grown to love from last night through your laptop screen right in front of you. This feels like a very cruel joke.
Dark brown eyes, salt and pepper hair, tan skin, and lines that appear as Joel frowns at you, unimpressed and suspicious. While Tess is completely covering Ellie, she narrows her eyes at you and says, “Raise your hands.”
Slowly you follow her command and raise both your hands, not wanting to increase the tension between you and them. Then you try your best to steady the trembling voice that wants to escape from you and directly look at Joel to say, “I’m not infected.”
“Show us your arm and neck.” He replies with his thick southern accent, and you bring your hand to the collar of your shirt to show them your neck and then lift the sleeves of your jacket to prove that you are being truthful.
The tension between the four of you still hadn’t dissipated despite proving that you didn’t have Cordyceps. “You got any weapons?” Tess asks and you shake your head, “No.”
Ellie groans in frustration, “Guys, I need to pee.” And you bite back a smile, her attitude, and unintentional humor. You clear your throat and say, “Um, you two could interrogate me in the other room so she can, uh, relieve herself.”
Ellie’s two protectors give each other a knowing side glance and proceed to lower their weapons that were aimed at you. You take a deep breath and then follow Joel as he first leaves the room while Tess watches and follows you from behind, making sure you don’t try anything funny.
You stand in the center of the room, with lush green grass, and flowers, you tilt your head up to look at the stream of daylight hitting your face. You take note of the overgrown plants and trees, mother nature taking back what’s hers. Eco-brutalists would be ecstatic about all of this, minus the fungi zombies.
Tess breaks the silence and asks, “What’s your name?” You give them your name and ask for theirs, even though you didn’t need to however, it is the polite and fair thing to do. You turn your head to look at both of them. They reluctantly tell you to give them their names as you try and manage to swallow away the fear and secretly hope this was all a dream or maybe a fucked up prank. Tess raises one eyebrow at you, “Where are you from?”
You purse your lips to a thin line and wonder how the hell you were gonna answer that question, you then settle for a, “It’s complicated.”
“Complicated how?” Joel gruffly asks you and you give him a light shrug in response and he scoffs.
Your shoulders sag at his reaction to your words, “I’m not trying to be difficult, I swear. It is complicated and hard to explain, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. And to be honest, I’m trying my best to wrap my head around this and find a way to explain it without sounding completely insane.”
Joel all but frowns at you but continues to ask, “You tryin’ to get to the QZ?” And without even thinking about it you shook your head in disagreement, and immediately followed your response with suspicion growing on their faces and a frown.
Tess looks at you in disbelief and says, “So, what the hell are you doing out in the city with all the infected running around? Going for a stroll?”
Not wanting to answer the question, you pivot to looking at his fractured hand and give him a light nod, gesturing to it, “Does it hurt?”
Tess glances at his hand and pushes Joel to sit on his chair, his hands shaking as he looks at his bloody knuckles. You also choose to sit on the plush cool green grass, the smell of earth fills your nostrils, and then watch the scene play out in front of you.
“Broken.” Tess states that Joel avoids eye contact with his partner in crime, “Maybe a hairline. It’ll heal fast.”
Tess looks down at the grimy floor and folded her hands in an attempt to calm herself, then raises her head as she whispers, “She made it through the fucking night, Joel.” He shakes his head at her, “It doesn’t matter. It’s gonna happen sooner or later. All right? We’re still close to the wall. We sneak both of them back into the QZ. We find a different way to get the battery.”
“This is our best shot,” Tess says unwaveringly with her decision while Joel scoffs, you watch them both like a tennis match and are surprised by the fact they didn’t even acknowledge your presence.
“We take her back into the QZ, someone’s gonna notice her arm. They’re gonna scan her then they’ll kill her.”
He harshly whispers back at Tess, “Well, better them than us. You need to stop talking about this kid like she’s got some kind of life in front of her.”
It felt like extreme deja vu watching Joel and Tess argue, and on queue, Ellie walks back in and throws the magazine on the floor, and slides towards Tess. The kid plops down to sit next to you on the lush grass and you look at her with a small smile.
“You hungry?” Tess asks the both of you as she rummages through her backpack to find the energy bars, “You can share some of ours.”
“Thanks. Marlene sent me with my own.” Ellie says and takes out a chicken sandwich from her bag pocket. Tess looks at you, offering some and you politely decline, the older woman tilts her head and says, “When was the last time you ate?”
“Yesterday.” You say without a thought.
“You wanna try to explain’ how you got here? Cause when we checked, you sure as hell weren’t here. Or how the fuck did you manage to survive this long with nothing?” Tess says as she chews on the bark this world now calls food. You feel your palms sweat and pulse slightly increase, you take a deep breath and say, “This is gonna sound extremely bazaar and completely impossible but try to keep an open mind because literal infected are roaming around the streets so believe anything is now within the realm of possibility. Okay?”
You got a couple of hums with curious gazes and listened as you began to speak, “I’m possibly from a different universe or world where this is all just fiction and you’re characters based on a video game-made television series. No, I have zero ideas how I got here. I went to bed and fell asleep, and next thing I know, I woke up with this painful migraine and fatigue, different clothes and you three suddenly existing.”
You paused as you took in the group gaping at you and you sigh, “From where I came from, we had a similar thing happen, a pandemic. However, it was a virus, not Cordyceps. We called it COVID-19, it could be transmitted through an infected person's mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak or breathe. The outbreak started in December 2019 and 6.84 million people died in the last three years during that time. We were able to make a vaccine at a rapid rate since our technology had advanced, and we were able to distribute it globally, so in the current year which we both share, which is 2023, we’re slowly trying to find our footing again as the world opens up.”
You feel your eyes glaze over, and you then shut them as you continued, “I know it sounds fucking impossible, trust me, a lot thought so too. My scientific hypothesis is that the multiverse does exist and somehow sleep or dreaming is connected to it. I really don’t know, it was all just theoretical.”
“Prove it.”
You open your eyes and look at Joel, completely surprised he spoke, “What?”
Joel’s baritone voice and defensive stare felt like electricity through your bones, “I said, prove it.”
If there’s anything you were good at, it was reading a ton of books in a short period and memorizing the important details and plot points. Visual memory paired with the love you had for these characters had you rewatching the three episodes over and over again. Quietly, you thank the younger you for being so nerdy.
You look Joel dead in the eye and turn to the kid beside you quietly looking at you while eating her sandwich, “Your name is Ellie, you got bitten by an infected while you snuck into the mall and then Marlene found you soon afterward. Those two,” you point your thumb in their direction, “need to get you to the state house in exchange for a battery so they can go find Tommy who has been missing for almost a month.”
“Holy shit. She knows my name.” Ellie said with her mouth full of her food.
You turn back to look at Joel and Tess, and then glance at his broken wristwatch, “And, um, Joel, I know how your watch broke, I’m so– .”
“Stop.” Joel lowly says, his stare as cold as ice and distrusting of you. You avert your gaze, and a blanket of silence covers the room. Shakily Joel eats his bark of food and Tess stares at you and Ellie as she chews and swallows, “Is that chicken?”
“Yup. Marlene said they get it from smugglers.” Ellie then thoughtfully tilts her head, “Guess not you guys.”
That does it for Tess and stands up to walk towards you and the kid, “Hey, hey!” Joel says as he stands up after her but Tess holds her hand out to stop him and to signal it’s fine, “Why are you so important to Marlene? And don’t lie to me, or we’ll take you back.”
“Like she said,” the kid gestures to you, “If you take me back, you don’t get your battery.” Tess scoffs, “You heard that?” and Ellie shrugs at her, the older woman mock laughs, “Then you must’ve heard he wants to shoot you.”
Ellie looks toward Joel and he doesn’t deny it, he simply stares back at her.
“If you do that, it would be the dumbest shit you’ll ever do.” You mumble while frowning, Tess turns to you and harshly says, “Zip it, this doesn’t concern you.” And you take what she said in stride and don’t push it any further.
She then crouches down to talk to Ellie, “I’m gonna talk to you like you’re an adult. Okay?” She then takes Ellie’s silence as consent to continue, “Joel and I aren’t good people. We’re doing this for us because apparently, you’re worth something. But we don’t know what you’re worth if we don’t know what we have. So answer my question.”
Ellie rolls her eyes, rubs her face, and mumbles to herself, “She told me not to tell anybody and now I’m telling the first people that I…” She lets out a sigh and reluctantly speaks, “There’s a Firefly base camp somewhere out west with doctors. They’re working on a cure.”
Joel immediately groans in frustration, “I’ve heard this before.” Ellie continues, “And whatever happened to me,” and at the same time she and Joel say, “is the key to finding the vaccine.”
He sighs in exasperation, “That’s what this is? We’ve heard this a million times. Vaccines, miracle cures. None of it works. Ever.”
Ellie stands up, “Fuck you, man. I didn’t ask for this.”
“You and me both.” The grouch turns to his partner and says, “This isn’t gonna end well, Tess. We need to go back.”
You then remember after all those essays and news articles about your pandemic, the time when everything felt so hopeless and scary. You look at Joel and you see a reflection of your own, his fear and panic, “It’s possible.”
They both turn to you and you continue, “Theoretically, it’s possible to create a fungi vaccine, however, I’m not even sure you have the technology to produce it. And it would take finding out what Ellie truly is. Either Ellie’s immune system mutated and created antibodies to fight against the Cordyceps or something else… But either way, a vaccine or maybe a cure could be possible now because of her.”
Tess stands up, as do you, and looks at Ellie for a moment, then to Joel to say, “Let’s just finish it. It doesn’t matter if she is what the Fireflies or what an alien says.”
“I’m human.” You grumble and Tess ignores you, “If they believe that she is then we get what we want.”
Joel gives a glare at Ellie and then shifts his gaze to you, he sighs and shakes his head, “If she so much as twitches.”
Ellie proceeds to make gurgling noises and movements to pretend as if she’s turning into an infected. Tess turns to look at her and scolds in a motherly fashion, “Don’t.” You try and hold in your laugh and the young girl clears her throat, scratches the back of her neck, and mumbles, “Yeah… okay.”
Tess then turns to Joel, “Okay?”
Defeated, Joel swings his arms open and whispers, “Okay.”
The foreshadowing of the fact it will not be okay in the next few moments had you feeling nauseous. The churning fear begins to bubble inside of you, Tess is going to die, albeit a noble and honorable death, but it still would hurt Joel, and Ellie as she slowly grows more fond of the older woman. Then, it hit you, is it possible to change what already was written? Could you save them all? Well, you’re already here, might as well try.
The three of them begin to pack their belongings as you awkwardly stand there with your hands in your pockets and watch as they prepare for the journey to the State House. The sound of Joel picking up his gun catches Ellie’s interest, “Can I have a gun?”
“Absolutely not.”
“No.”
“Okay. Fine. Jesus. I’ll have to throw a fucking sandwich at them.” Ellie then shoves the leftover sandwich into her bag and Joel goes to the giant bookshelf, which is blocking the door, to the side, then peaks out of the door to check if it’s safe. You hear the sound of birds chirping and feel the warmth of the light flood in the abandoned building.
“It’s clear.”
Following Ellie from behind, you begin walking slowly toward the light and into the apocalyptic city. Your eyes take in the sight of tilted, destroyed, buildings, overgrown plants, trees, abandoned cars, and trucks. A hauntingly beautiful sight if you were being honest.
Ellie gasps in wonder as she takes it all in, “Woah.” Tess looks over at her and says, “Yeah, looks different in the daylight, huh?” Joel quickly scans the area, “We should get moving.” Tess begins to take the lead, followed by Ellie then you, while Joel trails from behind.
“It’s like a fucked up moon.” Ellie moves towards a crater and peers over it, “Is this where they bombed?”
“Yeah, they hit most of the big cities like this. They had to slow the spread somehow.” Tess says and Joel continues to walk past it, ignoring the crater and any kind of conversation. “Worked here, but it didn’t in most places.”
Unconsciously, you begin humming to the tune of a Linda Ronstadt song. The last song you ever heard before sleeping. Continuing up to a ruined building, with debris blocking your path, “So the State House is across there. It’s about a ten-minute walk if you could go straight.”
Ellie looks at both of them and you wonder how the fuck you were gonna defeat the clickers later on with no weapon, “So…”
“Long way or short way?” Joel asks Tess, she holds the straps of her backpack and the wind blows through her hair, “I mean, it’s a long way or the we’re-fucking-dead way.”
“Well, I vote a long way just based on that limited information,” Ellie says dryly, and Joel stares at her, a puzzled expression on his face, then his eyes lands on you, waiting for your input.
You frown at him, “No, don’t look at me like that. I’m not giving you any spoilers.” Joel clenches his jaw and turns to Tess, “We have to check it from the hotel first.” She begins to walk away, “Okay.”
You walk along the highway in somewhat comfortable silence, you carefully look to the ground and see a giraffe plushie, the symbolism doesn’t escape you, knowing all too well what it meant. Moss and different kinds of plants grow over the cracks of the road, you spot branches atop abandoned cars and dust covers the windows of each door.
Tess and Ellie begin conversing in front of the group, while you and Joel follow from a distance. You look at Joel and say, “I’m sorry if I overstepped a while ago. I couldn’t prove it unless I told you something only you knew.”
He looks at you in an emotion you can’t quite understand, but still responds in his grumpy demeanor, “Just don’t bring it up again.” You quickly nod, “Mhm, noted.”
It was quiet for a bit until, to your surprise, he asks you, “What did you do for work?” The smile was so difficult to hold back, you chuckle and raise your eyebrows, “I’m… well, was a Quantum physicist. You were a carpenter right?”
“It kinda’ freaks me out how you know that off the top of your head.” His Texan accent heavy as he spoke, you knew that it would take time to build his trust. His reserved and security-oriented nature would prove to be a challenge, but something you wholeheartedly would take on, “I’ll try not to do it as much, I’m sorry.”
“You apologize too much.”
“It’s a habit I’m trying to break, to be honest.” You chuckle nervously, putting your hands in the pockets of your cargo pants, and continue to walk, watching and hearing bits of conversation from Tess and Ellie.
“I thought you were some sort of’ performer, a singer maybe, with all that hummin’ you were doin’ awhile ago.”
That catches you off guard and you feel the confusion form on your face and you begin to feel your face feel warm, “What?” Joel continues, “You were hummin’ to Linda Ronstadt, right? Haven’t heard that song in a while.” You stared at him in complete disbelief, “You heard me humming?”
As he was about to reply, you and him managed to catch up to Ellie and Tess to overhear their conversation, “How old are you?” Ellie replies, “Fourteen.” Tess hums and smirks at the kid, “Wow. Well, I mean you got some balls on you, sister.”
“Thanks,” Ellies says and follows after Tess, climbing over the flipped rusted car. You follow their movements and Joel does too.
Tess curiously looks over her shoulder at Ellie and continues her walk forward, “Nobody is gonna come after you, right? Like Mom, Dad, boyfriend?”
“I’m an orphan, and, uh, no.” Ellie takes a look around her surroundings and lets her hand brush on the tall grass growing from the cracks of the pavement, “Everyone said the open city was crazy. Like, swarms of infected running around everywhere.”
Joel humors her, “Not exactly like that.” Tess smiles, “You know people like to tell stories.”
“So there aren’t super-infected that explode fungus spores on you?” Ellie curiously asks with a somewhat happy tone, as if all of this doesn’t scare her. Fearless is what you conclude, a trait that could be good when at its best but dangerous and reckless at its worse. “Shit, I hope not,” Tess says.
“Or ones with split-open heads that see in the dark like bats?” Ellie asks and that causes a shift in Tess, Joel, and your demeanor. Fucking clickers. And on queue, you hear the screeching of the devil’s spawn in the distance. The whole group stills and Ellie shakily asks, “What was that?”
Joel doesn’t reply, instead, he just says, “Let’s keep movin’.”
Joel pushes the doors of the hotel open, loudly shrieking as he does, and all three of you are greeted with the sight of the flooded hotel. It was almost swamp-like due to the green water, lily pads floating, and the ducks and frogs swimming.
Ellie takes a spin and looks at the view with a childlike wonder you wish you still had, “You’ve got to be kidding me! You ever stay in a place like this?” “Uh, no, a little out of our league.” Tess says and Joel looks at Ellie and asks, “How do you even know what this is?” Being the smartass that she throws him a look and says, “Have you heard of books?”
You chuckle as Joel shakes his head and walks down into the murky water, “Wait we’re going in there?” Ellie asks, and Tess nods, “Yeah, we gotta get to the stairwell on the other side.” The kid takes a step back, “Well, I don’t… I don’t know how to swim.” Joel lifts an eyebrow, “Seriously?”
“Do you think we have pools in the QZ?” Ellie says with narrowed eyes. “No, smart-ass. I mean…”, Joel does a little jump into the water, it does a small splash when he does. “I don’t know how I was supposed to know that,” Ellie says as she walks down the steps and into the water, you follow behind her and Tess.
You four wade through the green murky water, “This is so gross.” Ellie says with a huge smile on her face and you can’t help but laugh, “This is disgusting.” The fourteen-year-old spots the concierge desk and makes her way over, “Oh, check it out!”
You place both of your hands on your hips and watch her mess with the call bell, “Ding, ding.” She begins to do her form of roleplay for her entertainment and to cure her boredom, “Yes sir. I would like your finest suite, please.”
“Yes, ma’am. Would you like me to take your luggage?”, she proceeds to answer her own question and pushes the hotel bell cart through the water, “Yes, ma’am. Right away ma’am…”
“You’re a weird kid.” Joel states, Ellie turns her head to look at him, “You’re a weird kid.” Something falls over, a sloshing sound indicating that it had fallen in front of Ellie causing her to jump back and bang the piano behind her and yelp, “Oh, fuck!”
You and Joel are quick to come to her side to see what it was. A skeleton lay there unmoving and rotten, your eyes raise to look at Ellie panting and clutching onto the hotel bell cart, “Oh, my god.” Joel kicks the skull and the kid mumbles, “Uh, sorry.”
Joel offers his hand to help Ellie back up and the sound of the honky-tonk piano creates sharp notes as she stands, Joel pulls back his hand once Ellie can manage on her own and begins to walk away.
You look to Joel, “How’s the hand?” He looks down at it as it shakes again, “It’ll heal.” Your face forms a frown and you shake your head, “That doesn’t answer my question.” Joel doesn’t respond and decides to continue and you simply follow.
“You okay?” Tess asks Ellie, and the young girl wades through the water like nothing happened, “Yep. Fucking Fabulous.”
After ten flights of stairs you finally made it to the top floor, Joel goes through the doorway first, while Tess takes a moment to catch her breath, “Fuck. Holy shit.”
You’re a little breathless, but not as much as Tess since you were a bit younger than her. “Come on, it wasn’t that bad.” Ellie says teasingly and Tess shoots her a look, “You try climbing ten fuckin’ floors with our knees. See how you feel.”
You turn right to a hallway, to see a giant obstruction made out of the rubble, “Well, when the fuck did that happen?” Tess tries to push the door to her right, only to be blocked. You try to check the door to the left to find the same outcome, you sigh “No.”
“All right, well, I mean, maybe I could climb up there. Work my way around and open it from the inside?” Ellie peers around the rocks, “Uh, no. Well, I’m the smallest, so it’d be easier for me to get through.” Tess hums, “But you die and we get nothing. You stay.”
“I could help.” You say a little meek, Tess is a little intimidating and you feel so out of place like you’re intruding. Technically, you aren’t supposed to be in this mess. She takes a good look at you and says, “Yeah, no.”
You deflate a little and avoid trying to argue, Tess turns to Joel and asks for help, “Can you give me a hand?” Joel pulls back Ellie with the strap of her backpack and she sighs, then Joel tugs your jacket sleeve to do the same. Your face warms a little bit, it’s the first time he’s ever touched you.
Joel boosts up Tess over the pile of rubble and she climbs over, “You good up there?” Tess analyzes the mess she needs to clean up and replies, “Yeah. It’s a bit of a mess, so I’m gonna need a few minutes.”
Joel turns around to face you and Ellie, he adjusts his gun and lets his back slide against the wall to sit down across from both of you. Ellie has her arms resting on her knees while you decide to sit comfortably cross-legged.
Ellie takes out her knife and decides to play with it, tossing it in her hands as if it were just a pen and not something that could easily cut her if she commits a mistake. You watch everything play out just like it did in the episode—character development.
“Nice knife,” Joel says as his eyes follow the movement of Ellie’s tossing. She only glances at him with acknowledgment. “Where’d you learn to do that?” he asks, you gotta hand it to him for trying to make an effort.
She replies with a monotone voice, “The circus.”
Joel looks away exasperated and completely done with her bullshit. You try and hide your smile, but the slight crease in your eyes gives away your amusement. Ellie folds her knife, and as Joel sighs, the kid decides to give an olive branch, “Where are you from?”
“Texas.” He replies, and Ellie continues, “What about Tess?”
“Detroit. It’s in Michigan.”
If there’s anything she hated most, was the fact people underestimate her intelligence, she rolls her eyes and Ellie’s reply comes out harsh, “I go to school. I know where Detroit is.”
Her response causes a wave of silence between the three of you. Your eyes drift from Joel to Ellie, she then decides it’s your turn to be interrogated, “Are you from the future?”
Your mouth twists a little to the right before deciding on a good enough answer, “Sort of? Your technology stopped advancing in 2003, so, I guess I am?” This piques her interest, “So, what’s it like over there?”
You pick the dirt off the underside of your fingernails, a little nervous, or if not nervous then cautious, as you respond, “Almost the same. Our technology is way different though.”
“Different how?” She asks.
You give her a soft smile and respond, “Well, for starters, we have touch screens for phones, laptops, tablets, you name it, it probably has a touch screen.”
“No way,” Ellie says with her eyes full of amazement and wonder, “What else?”
You give a hum as you teasingly tell her, “I don’t know… it might blow your tiny little mind.” She blows a raspberry in your face and you stick your tongue out in retaliation.
“Come on! Wait, you said we were just characters in some kind of story?” She says dramatically and tugs the sleeve of your jacket and continues, “What did you mean by that?”
Your eyes shift to look at Joel, who has his full attention on you; simply waiting. You blink owlishly at him, once, then twice before settling on a response, “Yeah, um, it recently aired.”
“So, do you know the future? Like our future? What’s about to happen? Will we be able to make a cure or a vaccine?” You couldn’t keep up with her rapid questions, and your mouth slightly parts open. Should you tell them?
Can you change the fact Tess is practically minutes away from death? That Joel is about to make the worst mistake of his life? That Bill and Frank are… that they…
Luckily, you didn’t need to answer Ellie, Joel who senses your unease, steps in for you, “Ellie, stop askin’ her about her life, she doesn’t wanna give anythin’ up.” You look at him apologetically and shut your eyes for a while. This migraine keeps bothering you, a sharp, heavy, thump in the side of your brain hasn’t gone away. You tell yourself that it eventually will. Maybe.
Ellie focuses her attention back to Joel, “So you two like a…”
“Pass.” He says.
Ellie continues, “How’d you end up in Boston?”
“Pass. No more questions about me.” Ellie rolls her eyes at him and racks her brain for a different question, “How long do infected live?” Joel mocks Ellie in reply, “Oh, I thought you went to school.”
“It’s a really shitty one.” She snarkily replies. You smile at their banter with your eyes closed, enjoying the conversation that they have going on. Joel thinks for a moment before answering her, “Well, some last about a month or two. But there’s other’s been walkin’ about 20 years.”
Ellie fidgets with her knife again, “You ever kill one?”
You hear the slight sorrow in his voice, “Yeah, I’ve killed lots of them.” Ellie asks the most human question as she looks at the older man, “Was it hard? Like, knowing they were people once?”
You open your eyes to watch his gaze look away from the kid, memories come back to him, what he’s done and will continue to do, and he nods, “Sometimes.”
“What about that guy last night?” She asks, and you frown while he gives Ellie a stern look. You knew Ellie liked the fact Joel hurt the FEDRA guard to protect her. She loved it. Luckily Joel doesn’t have to respond, you could hear the sound of something approaching you. The loyalist immediately stands up, and you and Ellie get up to stand next to Joel, he puts his finger to the trigger of his gun, ready to protect you both from whatever is out there.
“You can put the gun down, Joel,” Tess calls out from a distance, and a tingle of jealousy moves through your bones like electricity. She knew him so well, to the point where she knew what he was going to do before doing it. They both loved each other without admitting it, and it hurts you. They never stood a chance.
You hear the quiet rumble of Tess pushing away the debris to open the door, the loud creak of metal reveals her face, and it’s full of worry. Joel reads her like a book, “What now?” Then Tess nods her head, signaling to follow her.
As you make your way upstairs, you take notice of the abandoned wine glass and dishes, the dust that coats every inch of the hotel, and the fallen chairs. Tess pulls back a plastic curtain for you and Ellie to walk through, only to be greeted by the view of hundreds of infected down below.
“There’s so many,” Ellie comments in disbelief, you can hear the cries and wailing of each Runner as they roll and crawl. The young girl leans a little forward to get a better view. Tess nods, “The last time we were here they were still deep inside the buildings. Then I guess enough people came through looking for the QZ they went inside seeking shelter, and that’s how they get more and more of the city bit by city year after year.”
As the clouds pass by, the sun shines through a little, overwhelming light shines over the infected, they screech and roll away, like a domino effect. “They’re connected,” Ellie says, and Tess nods in confirmation, “More than you know. The fungus also grows underground. Long fibers like wires, some of them stretching over a mile.”
If you weren’t so focused on listening to Tess explain the cordyceps, you would have felt Joel staring at you the whole time, observing how you were taking all of the information being shared. You were surprisingly calm, despite the fact zombies are now real and you could die. And possibly a little worried like you were anticipating something bad was going to happen.
Tess continues, “Now you step on a patch of cordyceps in one place and you can wake a dozen infected from somewhere else. Now they know where you are, now they come. You’re not immune from being ripped apart. You understand? It’s important. I’m trying to keep you alive.”
Ellie nods and you do too, even if the question wasn’t directed at you. “So we’re not going that way.” She states, and Tess agrees, “No.”
“What do we do then? Short way?” Ellie asks and Joel looks at Tess, and speaks the dreaded words you’ve heard before, “Museum.”

Do you need some Vitamin D? (Incubus! William x Oblivious! F! Reader) [Part 6]
~Thank you all for your support on the last chapter! The amount of thirst I have seen for Monster William's fluffy chest is insane, but I get it entirely~

CW: 18+ MINORS DNI. Fluff, age gap (Reader 20's - William Afton 40's(?)), teratophilia, meet-cute, punny pick-up lines, scenes of working out, minor porn-logic, ditzy! reader, could be classed as bimbo! reader?, size-difference, flirting, monster-lover, sexual innuendos, Monster! AU
Working out your shift had left you feeling constantly on edge. Monsters existed, they really existed and both of your bosses were part of it. Worse, you had a crush on the one boss you were living with and he was an eight feet tall bunny monster, incubunny, Lagomorphic Incubus, whatever he was. You felt like your day could only get worse if your best friend decided to announce they were secretly a skeleton in disguise or some other strange thing.
William had been waiting for you when you finished work, tapping his foot against the concrete of the parking lot and looking up at you as soon as you left the door. He seemed to be lost in thought too, and you hadn't seen much of him or Henry for most of the day, although you were partly grateful for that.
"Do you...need a ride back?" He offered, adjusting his glasses as those familiar grey eyes stared back at you. He was human, for now, and you supposed that he needed to be so to drive his car. Not that the thought of the giant rabbit crammed into the driver's seat of the car like it was a drunk adult in a kid's toy wasn't amusing, but you needed a little more time to accept and adjust to the sudden shift in reality that you'd experience in a singular day.
"It'd be a bit awkward if I didn't, wouldn't it?" Earning a chuckle as he unlocked the car and waited for you to slide into the passenger side first, feeling the car dip under his weight as he climbed in too and started the engine. His silver eyes flickering to your uncertain face before settling on the road as he pulled out of the parking lot. You were still so cute to him, even when he felt guilty for tearing your world apart as you knew it.
There was a long pause of silence as neither of you particularly wanted to break the silence that had settled over you. His fingers drumming along the steering wheel before he reached into a pocket and fished out a wrapped candy, offering it to you without taking his eyes off the road. You pursed your lips, contemplating the metaphorical olive branch before carefully taking it and unwrapping the sweet treat. Popping it between your lips and watching William do the same from the corner of your eye. Watching his salt and pepper hair fluttering in the breeze as he cracked open a window and let the cold air into the car whilst you drove, much to your discomfort at the cooler temperature.
"So...have you always been..." You struggled to find the words, not quite sure what to say. Was it impolite to call him a monster? You weren't sure you could say the long winded name of what he was every time you referred to him.
"A monster? Yeah. Born it, gonna die it too one day." Your eyes snapped to him at the dark comment.
"Don't say that. I don't want to think about you dying." You murmured, making William raise an eyebrow in return but he simply exhaled through his nose, gripping the steering wheel tighter for a moment as he crunched on the candy he had been trying to suck on. Watermelon, it wasn't his favourite, but the sugary rush was what he was really after.
"But to answer your question, I have always been this way. Same goes with Henry before you ask, and his wife too, and obviously Charlie, their daughter." He explained, running his thick fingers through his greying hair as he wondered how he was going to ease you into it all when you'd already been thrown at the deep end.
"How did you know he was..."
"We can sense each other. It's like...an inbuilt radar? We can't tell what, or even directly who a lot of the time, but we can sense it, and we tend to congregate because we know that there are others we can trust to be ourselves around." You thought on his reply for a moment, staring at the suburban landscape of Hurricane rushing past before you bit your lip, turning your head to face him again.
"So...You...being you...Does that mean you trust me?" You asked, looking up at the older man curiously as his soft gaze flickered to you and back.
"No, I-I mean yes! No! No. Ye-" He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, his cheeks colouring even under his stubble as his knuckles gripped white on the steering wheel for a moment, you noticed his nails had gotten longer and sharper once again, although he didn't seem to notice at all. "It's complicated. Yes, I trust you, you're a good employee and I wouldn't trust just anybody to stay at mine in their time of need. No, I didn't mean to trust you with...this...I slipped up, admittedly."
His efforts to soothe over his fumbling had worked, and you felt a little relaxed, if for some reason a little sad that he didn't trust you to keep such a big secret. But you understood, it was something life altering, and you were you, and he was...Frightening wasn't the word to use anymore, not now you'd been given a chance to see him up close and personal and give him a hug. It had definitely been the right call to ask you to give him one, you felt like you could have melted from the little bit of softness that his monstrous form seemed to pick up, wondering if his fur was really as soft as the fluff around his neck and face made him look.
"Would it be okay...if I looked like...that...around the house more?" He asked, flickering eyes watching you as he caught sight of his exit and indicated to pull in. Wanting to clear the air as much as he could in the short period of time you had before you were back at the house.
"As long as..you're comfortable with me seeing you like that?" You replied, questioning him in return. Watching his nose twitch in a manner that you had never even considered before, but now looked incredibly rabbit like.
"Bunny, I couldn't hide anything from you if I tried anymore. You were willing to leave town to hide what I am from everybody, you could see anything your heart desired as far as I care." Chuckling lowly as he watched a subtle flush creep up your cheeks, a small humm of thought coming through that seemed much more like a squeak. He meant it, you would be able to see any part of him you wanted, touch any part of him you wanted. Realising you would run to protect him was only making the monster more obsessed with you.
And you didn't mind the thought of seeing your hot boss either. Wondering if it was weird of you thought of his monster form as hot too.
As you pulled down the gravel driveway, you hit a bit of a pothole and William's hand shot out to protect you from jolting forwards despite your seatbelt. Looking down at his arm, you noticed that it had changed, coated in thick fur, the nails sharper and longer again, fingers longer and thicker, feeling the squishiness of rough pads along his fingers and palm pressing into your upper chest. Your heart beating rapidly beneath his touch as you turned crimson. William turned his head to look at you before realising where he was touching and secondly, that he had partly turned.
"Sorry." Pulling back his arm and shaking it out, you blinked and it was back to his normal self. Although which was the normal version and which was the mask, you were unsure of. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, it was just a pothole, you didn't need to fluff-out to protect me from it, you know?" Deciding that if you were going to live with the rabbit man, you might as well try to get comfortable with the fact. Watching as William looked at you and tried not to smile as he raised an eyebrow.
"Fluff-out?"
"Well, that's what I'm going to call it from now on. Do you have a better name for it?" Raising an eyebrow right back at him, watching the older man snickering to himself as he shook his head. Placing one hand against his mouth to try and disguise how much it amused him, but failing as his shoulders began to shake. "What?"
"Sorry bunny, of all the things I thought you might do if you found out about me, beginning to make your own terms up that sound far too adorable wasn't on my list."
"Then how about we call you 'incubunny' instead of spending five minutes on saying what you are each time?"
William couldn't help it and finally burst out laughing, the deep bassy laugh passing through you and making you smile with pride at making him laugh. Pulling up enough in the drive to make sure any visiting cars wouldn't be hindered as he reached over and gently ruffled your hair, lingering over it as he smiled lopsidedly at you.
"That nickname is firmly yours to call me, little bunny. I'll be your incubunny for as long as you want me to be."
William had become busy in the workshop in the basement that afternoon, and he had asked you to go out and grab some things from the supermarket for him since he was going to zone out and forget otherwise.
The shopping list seemed wild and varied, listing bags of candy, to cigarettes, to bags of apples and some walnuts, the list was rather an eclectic mix of items that you weren't sure how he managed to live on but you supposed that maybe he didn't need to eat in the same fashion you did since he wasn't human.
You decided to swing by your old apartment whilst you were out, since it wasn't a long walk from the supermarket. Heading up the worn out concrete stairs, you wondered if any of your stuff had gone missing since the door was unlockable and broken and it wasn't like you had been there to stick the hallway table in front from the inside to prevent anybody just opening it up. As you reached your floor however, you paused as you noticed that the door seemed to be entirely missing.
Moving forwards, you peered into the space and felt your heart sinking through your stomach as you saw that everything had been stripped out, even the flooring was beginning to be removed. All the precious things that you had collected since you ventured out on your own, gone.
"May I help you?" A raspy voice spoke behind you, making you gasp and jump, spinning around and tripping over your own feet, a thin hand shooting out to grab onto your arm and prevent you from falling. "Be careful...Wouldn't want you hurting yourself."
You looked at the person who had snuck up on you, and you paused. He was tall, but unlike William, he was slender and scrawny looking. His skin almost greyish with how pale he was, dark eyes wild and darting, the smile was crooked and showed gapped and crooked teeth and it didn't quite reach the rest of his angular face. Cheeks gaunt like he didn't eat much, but you were surprised by the grip strength behind the almost bony hand.
"I um...I came to see if my stuff was still here." Your voice sounded weak for some reason, swallowing hard as your heart raced and the stranger's eyes darted like he couldn't focus on one thing individually for a moment before becoming hyper focused on you once more. Another smile, the grip easing up, allowing you to feel how cool his skin was against your arm.
"My bad then," He shrugged his shoulders, listening to him, you could finally place a bit of an accent on him. Faded out British, like he hadn't been around his own accent in a long time. "You must be the young lady who lived in the apartment with the broken door.
"Yeah...Look, clearly there's nothing here for me, my landlord must have thrown my stuff out already, I just-"
"Of course, you were issued an eviction notice. Your stuff is all quite safe, I assure you, sugar." Clicking his tongue for a moment, he moved his weight back onto his heels and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his black slacks. The baggy black t-shirt making it look like he had just gotten off of work and barely begun to change when you arrived. The nickname made you blush, but something about the lazy, raspy way that this man spoke made the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
"Oh?"
"Right, yes, I need to introduce myself. I'm Dave Miller, your new landlord. I went over the paperwork your...previous...landlord left, and I must say...you are owed a great deal of compensation for the way you've been treated." There was something of a purr under the roughness of his voice, something that whispered that you should listen to what he had to say. But there was still an intense distrust in your gut as he held out his hand to shake, gripping your hand firmly before catching you off guard and bringing your hand to his lips. The kiss felt wet and cold, making you cringe a little externally as well as internally.
"I am?" You asked, making Dave chuckle as he released your hand and watched you awkwardly draw it back to yourself.
"Of course! Evicting you without the proper notice, not the mention, the plethora of issues that you've reported that haven't been fixed. As soon as I noticed the broken door, I packed up your things and put them into the storage unit beside my apartment on the top floor." He said, gesturing up the stairs before coming closer and placing a slender hand on the middle of your back, guiding you towards the front door to your old apartment to look inside.
"That's very kind of you, Mr.Miller." Dave chuckled as you addressed him so politely, and you swore that you felt his fingers brush your hair as he stood just behind you to let you look inside.
"Please, call me Dave, sugar. As part of your compensation, you're being given the largest flat on the top floor, we're going to be neighbours!" There was that purr again, and you felt your heart picking up speed in..excitement? You felt confused, why were you excited about being neighbours with a man you had only just met. Your gut twisted over itself deep inside of you as you avoided looking at that crooked smile.
"Thank you Mr....Dave. That is very kind."
"It's no worries, really. It will be nice to have such an upstanding citizen around whilst we renovate the building."
"Pardon?"
"Oh right, of course you wouldn't know. Most of the tenants...left...with the last landlord's...retirement... and so I've taken the opportunity to spend some funds and rennovate the place to a much higher standard. There will be tennants moving into some of the flats that didn't need much renovation in the next few weeks." He explained idly, stepping into your old space and kicking a floorboard, you noticed he was wearing well worn out boots. Wondering whether he had been doing some of the work himself.
"So..I can swing by in the morning and pick up the key to my new place?" You asked, feeling a little disoriented, the way he spoke was soothing, yet put you on edge at the same time. You couldn't quite describe the feeling.
"I'm not much of a morning person, although you are free to call me anytime, darling. I'll give you my number, and I'll text you when your key is ready. It should be another couple of days, unfortunately." Sighing softly, you felt a wave of melancholy surrounding you, blinking rapidly as you wondered why you were so swept up in the way the raspy, British man spoke. Perhaps he was simply one of those speakers?
Something in the back of your mind warned you to be careful.
He ran his hands through his dark hair, which you noticed was a little greasy, giving you a smile before he shrugged his shoulders and pulled out a flip phone from his back pocket, fingers moving with incredible dexterity as he pulled up his contact information and showed you the number. Waiting for you to pull out your phone and add it in, his eyes darting about as you stood in front of him, observing every little movement and detail about your phone. He had found that somebody phone said a lot about them.
"Excellent!" Snapping the phone shut as soon as you were done, making you jump, Dave only grinned as he looked down at you. His expression barely wavering as his eyes focused intently on you once again, unnervingly still. "Guess I'll be seeing you, neighbour."
"Nice to meet you Dave." Slipping past his skinny body and having to brush slightly against him to do so, your heart pounding in your ears as you made your way carefully down the stairs. Looking up as you made your way down and seeing Dave leant against the bannister, head cocked to one side, still smiling.
"The pleasure is all mine, sugar. I can't wait to hear you again." Dissapearing back over the railing and leaving your sight finally. You felt like a weight had suddenly left your chest that you didn't realise had been there, breathing a little ragged as you began to speed walk to the supermarket. You didn't even realise there was something strange in what he'd said as you made the walk to the store.
There was something strange about your new landlord, you just couldn't quite put your finger on it.
When you got back to the house, you found William asleep on the couch. Although you had to do a double take at the massive rabbit man spread out on the too large couch, which now made a lot more sense seeing it in context.
His glasses balanced precariously on his flat nose, head laid over one arm of the couch and his legs occasionally twitching. He had put on a large, large t-shirt and what you thought might have been sweatpants in his human form, but looked more like capris in his monstrous state. Lightly snoring as he hugged a pillow to his chest, clearly taken from his bed and brought down. You wondered how much of a nap he had needed, but the image made you smile. Even as you caught sight of the sharp canines in his mouth as he yawned whilst asleep, an impressive feat, watching him shuffle around to get comfy.
You'd gotten a few extra items whilst shopping, carefully tip-toeing into the kitchen and packing things away before you decided to make dinner for William. Moving quietly and quickly as you decided on roasted veggies and grilled chicken, prepping everything you needed and putting it in the oven to cook, looking over at the sleeping giant and smiling to yourself as you thought how peaceful he looked.
Wandering over to him, you set a timer on your phone to check on the food and placed it down onto the coffee table. Looking at the rabbit man curiously as he remained on his back. Trying to reach over him and cover him with the blanket, not that you were sure he needed it with the ruffle of fluffy yellowish fur that was around his neck, but his large hand reached out and gently grabbed ahold of you, making you gasp as he pulled you onto his chest. Still snoring as his thick, fluffy arms wrapped around you.
You gently tried to squirm out of his grip, but the rabbit man held you tighter for just a moment until you settled down again. Placing your head against his chest with a defeated sigh and feeling the fluff underneath the t-shirt compressing until you could faintly hear his strong heart thumping slowly in his chest.
"William..." You called softly, watching his ears twitch towards you slightly. "Wiiillliiamm." Stretching it out into almost a coo as you looked at him, incredulous as to how deeply asleep he seemed.
Resigning yourself to being cuddled, you began to relax, feeling the weight of his large hands and arms across your back was surprisingly reassuring. And you found yourself being lulled to sleep, eyes closing as he held you and made your own heart flutter excitedly.
"I appear to have caught a little bunny." His gravelly, basey voice made you jump as you opened your eyes and looked at his purple, slit pupil ones looking back curiously. Rubbing one large paw-hand over his face and disrupting his glasses into an even more precarious position.
"I-I..William! Hi! I um...You kinda...Um..." stammering and starting as you weren't quite sure how to explain what was happening, the incubus chuckled as he sat up and kept you against his chest to avoid accidentally punting you with the movement. Letting you sit back against his legs as he grinned at you a little sheepishly.
"I'm guessing you came to wake me up and I grabbed you, huh? Sorry, I thought the pillow might stop something like that happening." Rabbits couldn't blush, but the sheepish way his eyes avoided yours and how he rubbed the back of his neck gave you enough of an idea that he was embaressed.
"You knew this might happen?" Your voice almost a squeak as he chuckled, helping you to your feet and brushing bits of fluff that seemed to have gone rouge and stuck to you.
"My kind...have a penchant for physical touch. You know how sometimes you really want a hug? Dial that up so it's like a constant background noise." He chuckled, his own heart racing in his chest as he wondered whether the excuse would mask that he had secretly been awake for the past five minutes and watching you sleep peacefully on his chest. That he had wanted to kiss the top of your head and hold you there, in fact, he wasn't sure why he was making excuses. He would be moving too fast otherwise, he thought, you had only just found out this side of his existed.
"Wow so you...just kinda want to be near people all the time?" You asked, looking at the phone on the coffee table, realising only five minutes were left and wondering how long you'd been asleep for. You couldn't deny it had been the best nap you'd ever had though.
"People...no. I'm an odd one, I don't do a lot of people all at once. I'm more..private, I like..." William paused as he thought of a way to phrase it.
"You like people in small amounts?" The rabbit man shook his head as he thought some more, humming quietly.
"I prefer to focus on a very small group of friends. I'm pretty sure I've accidentally caught Henry before when I've been asleep, but I only do it to people I trust." The words came out slowly, nodding at the end looking at you and wondering if you had finally noticed how much he stared at you, if you could see how much he adored you.
"Well, I'm glad you trust me, William. I'll keep out of your way when sleeping in future." Smiling and heading to check on the food, you felt yourself banging your head against an internal wall as you sighed slightly. He'd done it to Henry, of course it was a platonic gesture rather than meaning anything. You wondered if William would ever see you as more than a trustee of his secret, now that you knew it.
William's nose twitched as he stood up, breathing deeply and frowning as he shook himself out. Rolling his shoulders and cracking various joints as he settled back into human form after a few minutes, he sniffed the air and mentally his ears pinned back.
There was something lingering on you that he couldn't identify, faint, covered by his own smell and your usual sweetness that he adored. But it felt wrong, like it wasn't meant to be there.
As the oven opened and he could smell dinner however, the thought was quickly pushed back into his subconcious, his stomach rumbling as he padded into the kitchen and watched you plate up dinner with a smile. Wondering if you could ever love a monster like him.

ok so i had a WILD dream last night with all of current metallica and it was HVHJBHCUJBVFVBJ
lemme replay it for you
cw: mentions of kidnapping, idk how to use who vs. whom, cnc, sharing, bondage, toys, they're all kinda soft doms (except Lars idk why but he's just a jerk in this fic) EXTREME sadism, masochism, reader is kept underground somewhere, just generally fucked up events :)
You are responsible for your own media consumption <3
I wake to an echo, a deep voice, bouncing off the pipes and concrete floors that make up my surroundings. My vision is blurry, my body is aching, and my brain feels fried. I struggle to prop my head up against the wall behind me. I attempt to move my arms and legs, but metal cuts into my wrists and ankles as soon as I exert the smallest amount of force. The air is damp and unpleasant smelling, like I was underground, possibly in a sewer. My vision slowly clears as the voices become clearer, louder. Four figures, outlines against the small wall lamps behind them. They stand in a sort of half-circle, all facing towards me. Their laughter and conversation die down as I attempt to speak. All that comes out is gibberish, low and raspy. My throat constricts and burns. I can see the tall, grey-haired one smirk.
"Looks like she's awake."
"Poor girl, looks like hell."
The shorter, skinnier one walks slowly towards me, his hands in front of his chest, facing me, like he's trying to make peace with the thrashing girl handcuffed to the web of pipes bolted to the wall.
"I ain't gonna hurt you sweet thing. None of us are."
I look up at him through my greasy bangs, my eyes heavy and achy.
Its only when he places a large, calloused hand on my hip that I realize I'm naked. My head drops, tears welling in my eyes when I take in the weight of my situation. As the drops fall, another hand skims across my cheek, slowly wiping them away. The hand on my hip is warm and is somewhat comforting to me, so I lean the slightest bit into his touch not wanting to give him too much satisfaction, but enough to gain the slightest sliver of comfort I was offered. I lift my head to try to make out his face, salt and pepper curls falling to his collarbone, light brown skin, a mole on his left cheek.
"Why don't you tell us why you're here, sweetheart."
I try screaming, but my throat stings and feels like its tearing, so I cry harder instead. I catch the slightest glimpse of a grin as he turns back to the group, before walking to join them. They wait and watch. After what feels like an hour, I realize I'm trapped, and try my hardest to stop sobbing. Even if I could scream, it would be of no use. These men where probably the only signs of life in a 10-mile radius, if not more.
"I-I d-don't know...."
"What's that sweetheart?"
My heart grows heavier at the pet name, a sense of disgust creeping through my body.
"I said," my voice wavering, "I don't know why I'm here."
Exhausted by the simple sentence, I drop my head again.
Murmurs, followed by light laughter.
I hear footsteps coming closer, and I don't dare to look up. He gets close enough that his boots are right in front of my feet. I recognize him as the tall man whom I first saw. I see his hands slowly coming closer to my waist, and I try to lean back. One hand flies up to my face at the speed of light, and I squeeze my eyes shut, bracing for impact. Instead, he grips my chin, forcing me to look up at him. I don't look him in the eyes, afraid of what I might see. I feel his hot breath on my ear as he huffs angrily against my neck.
"Do that again, see what happens, princess."
I feel a blush creeping across my cheeks, seeping down to my chest. My thoughts ran wild as his hands slowly roamed across my hips and waist, and down to my thighs. He grinned as he brought a hand to my inner thighs, and I clenched my legs together. He squatted down so he was eye level with my lower stomach and wrenched my legs apart. I let out a small whimper, not entirely in vain, I found. My eyes widened at the sick thought that maybe, just maybe, I was enjoying this. He grinned up at me as he stroked my inner thighs, only a few inches away from my core. I eyed him, wincing whenever his knuckles would graze the side of my labia. After a few minutes, he slowly works his pointer finger through my folds, and I try to hold back a whine as he purposefully takes his time running over my clit. He pulls out his finger and makes a point of holding it up to the light, so I can see his finger glisten.
"And I thought you hated me."
He makes eye contact as he brings his finger up to his face and smells it, eyes rolling back before running his tongue across the joint. My knees almost buckle. He moves back in for more, and this time, I welcome it.
"Looks like ya broke her, James."
Did he?
My head clouded as I considered the possibility of the statement. He stood back up, letting his palms ghost over my sides, before stepping to the side, leaning against the moldy wall. The man who I had interacted with first came forward again and reached up to my left wrist. His unoccupied hand reached into his pocket, pulling out a small silver key. A slight chink signaled that my cuff was open, and he took my wrist, leaving the smallest kiss on the red, irritated skin, before putting the cuff back on and lengthening the chain, so my arm was able to extend farther from the wall. He did this with all the cuffs, leaving kisses across my thighs and calves when uncuffing my ankles. I was now able to step about 4 feet from the wall, the room almost becoming smaller as I squirmed to get away from the moist, moldy wall, but walking closer to the men. As he stepped back, he winked and smiled at James, who I could feel coming up behind me, using the extra space in between the wall and I to cling to my back, wrapping his arms around my stomach, he rocked me side to side softly before rutting against my ass. I gasped, and he trailed his tongue up and down my neck, sucking and licking every once in a while.
"You gonna be good?"
I struggled for an answer. One part of me wanted to deny, deny, deny, but the other part wanted to let it happen. I was never into this sort of stuff, but I felt like it was growing on me. Sure, I had no clue who any of them were, and I didn't know what their intentions were after they were done with me, but that excited me. I decided to play along, but I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of thinking I was unwilling.
"Yes," I whined. I stared up at him with the most pitiful gaze I could muster.
I ground back onto his jeans, and I clenched my thighs together as he groaned in my ear, the hot air making my hair stand on end. I almost completely forgot that there were three others until I heard their footsteps advancing. I shifted my gaze forward to see the broad, darker-skinned man, who I later learned was named Robert, reach down to waist and tug at his belt, slowly freeing it from the loops, before folding it in half and snapping it so loud I jumped. Before I knew what was happening, I felt the leather come down on my thigh, the skin becoming red and almost swollen. James held a hand over my mouth as I screamed. I could feel my arousal make its way down my thigh, grazing over the many bruises Robert would continue to make. All the while, James was using his free hand to hold my waist, making me rub against his growing erection. My eyes were glazed over, my breathing erratic, when I felt James's boot nudge my inner ankle, kicking it to the side, doing the same thing with my other foot. I looked up at him with confusion, not seeing the belt come straight towards my core. I bit down on his hand, nearly drawing blood as I felt the belt sting my clit. I came from the impact, screaming and drooling into his hand. He held me impossibly tighter, rocking me softly like he had earlier, licking my tears from my cheeks.
"And this is just the start, princess."
He soothed me while Robert got down on his knees, lightly grazing the bruises and welts and kissing what little unharmed skin was left.
Once the aftershocks had worn off, James took his hand from my mouth, trailing down to my chest. He was gentle at first, but became more and more aggressive, twisting, scratching, kneading, eventually bruising.
"Now, we know who you are (had they been stalking me?), but it just dawned on me that you have no idea who we are."
He gripped my chin again, facing me towards the man who had adjusted my shackles.
"Kirk." He tilted my head down. "Robert." To the side. "Lars." The shorter man leered at me from his place, leaning against what looked like a water heater, toothpick in his mouth.
"And as you already know, I'm James. Got all that?" I nodded.
He kissed my neck.
"Of course you do, knew you were a smart girl."
I smiled weakly up at him. His face was almost sympathetic as he and Robert suddenly stepped aside, leaving me cold and lonely. I tried my best to huddle, but I could only press my legs together, my hands still chained high above my head. My head lolled, my neck still achy.
"Now," the voice snapped me out of my head, making me look toward where Kirk was leaning, "if I take your cuffs off, will you be good?"
The thought of finally getting out of the abrasive metal loops was too good to resist; my wrists and ankles hurt like hell. I nodded, and he looked to the rest of the guys, only advancing when all of them nodded and faced toward me. He uncuffed first my ankles and then my wrists. As soon as the last cuff dropped, so did I. The cold floor stung as I came crashing down. I wept, although softer than before. My eyes met Kirk's and then James'.

𝐜𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 — 𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐢/𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐢 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐲𝐚
word count: 1262
cw: none other than dabi's foul language
summary: dabi encounters a cat. i continue to spoon-feed this man happiness. based on this prompt by the lovely @scarlettcryptid ♡
Before he knows it, a quiet ‘Pss-pss-pss’ leaves his lips.
He tries it all.
Clicking his tongue, saying - whispering - “Here, stupid fucking kitty”, because god forbid someone hears. Slowly putting his hand out, some more ‘Pss-pss’-ing - anything that had worked on the neighbours’ cats when Fuyumi did it.
Here he sits; Todoroki Touya, a man stripped of all dignity at the sight of a fat cat.
The concrete is cold underneath his palm. Dabi welcomes April’s spring breeze, a strand of jet black hair tickling his cheek as he pulls the strings of his hoodie tighter. The dewy scent of the morning air is overtaken by the intense smell of steaming hot Yakitori, fresh off the grill, bought - not stolen - bought with his own, hard-earned cash money. (That, admittedly, he had stolen.)
You’ve got to indulge, the vendor had shouted, in the little pleasures! Treat yourself to life's delectable delights! Two plus two, Weekday special! Don’t miss out on-
“Screw you,” he’d told her, shoving the money on the little silver tray next to the register, scowling when she still served him with a bright smile, one that reminded him of Fuyumi’s excited grin every time she’d successfully pulled off a trick on her beautifully painted Kendama. Fuyumi would be so upset, he thinks, if she knew where he gets his food from these days.
He pulls the first skewer from the paper box, diligently inspecting a grain of Szechuan pepper. Dabi hasn’t laid eyes upon a spice in months - especially not one this pricey.
No, ever since he’s made a temporary home in the outer area of the city, it’s been nothing but dumpster diving and collecting restaurant leftovers for him. Stale bread. Expired cookies. Plain rice, cooked in an old bean can. Salted butter. Some Chili powder on top of his potatoes, if the old man at the soup kitchen was feeling generous.
Compared to the barely digestible nutrients his body runs on, the sight mere inches from his face is a divine gift.
After turning it over once more he finally takes a small bite, careful to pull the piece of chicken off the skewer with his front teeth. He’s become even more sensitive to temperature lately, and his teeth are the most annoying aspect. Not the sizzling of his flesh when he overuses his quirk, not the burn behind his eyes as they go dry. Those he’s gotten used to rather quickly. But when most of the food you eat is either cold or poorly reheated, the sensation of something hot is bound to cause major discomfort.
It’s not as bad as he expects. Neither the temperature sensitivity nor the taste. He begins to chew more boldly, savouring the harmonious balance between onion and garlic, sea salt and pepper, topped with tare sauce and just a hint of lemon. Say about the outskirt markets what you will, but those street food vendors do know how to grill a chicken.
Dabi doesn’t notice how quiet it’s gotten until something chirps behind him.
A cat.
A rather well-fed cat.
A cat that technically isn’t overweight, but its thick fur coat still makes it look a little fat.
Black with a white tummy and some spots of orange near its paws, sitting two arms’ lengths away. Its eyes follow the skewer as he moves it to one side, then the other, then dangles it upside down. Some grease drips onto the grass of the porch he’s sitting on. He finishes the remaining pieces of chicken and pulls out the second skewer, eyes shifting between his precious meal and the overly attentive cat.
Finally, he decides to pinch off a small piece, chewing at the spiced crust until it’s gone. He tosses the plain chicken towards the cat but to his surprise, it flinches and retreats behind a large flower pot.
The little fucker.
Wasted half a bite of perfectly good food.
Dabi turns his attention back towards his steaming Yakitori. Some time passes. He doesn’t know if it’s seconds or minutes that he zones out looking at the flowering apricot tree in the distance, but he’s pulled back to reality by soft chewing noises. Careful not to make another sudden movement he shifts a bit, just enough to look over his shoulder. Sure enough, the feline is greedily nibbling at the slice of meat. The two of them make brief eye contact before turning their attention back to their respective meals.
The sound behind him subsides shortly after and is replaced by a soft purring, one that he knows isn’t directed at him. He lets the cat have another piece from his third skewer nonetheless, this time giving it a gentle toss so it lands a few inches closer.
Still visibly tense, it takes a few steps forward and sniffs at the chicken before gulping it down in a few bites. Greedy shit, Dabi thinks, as he sacrifices yet another precious piece. He puts it down at his side, rubbing his fingers together. The cat’s attention is on the meat immediately, ears twitching as it courageously inches closer towards Dabi. He finishes the last of his Yakitori, never breaking eye contact with the cowardly little furball next to him.
After a thorough standoff, the cat’s curiosity gets the better of it. It keeps its stomach low as it sneaks across the ground, stretching its long neck to sniff at the finger that Dabi used to pull the Yakitori off the skewer earlier.
“If you bite me, I’m sending you to the coat factory.”
As if that theory was being tested, Dabi feels a sudden nip at his fingers. Cursing, he pulls back slightly, only to see the mischievous fucker’s pupils go wider. He wipes the bits of chicken grease off in the dewy grass and offers his palm again, checking both sides of the street to make sure nobody’s looking.
As if to taunt him, the little furball pounces and takes a swipe at Dabi’s hand before he can turn his attention back to the porch. It chatters in surprise when the man pulls away just in time.
Fucker, as Dabi decides to dub this newfound enemy of his, darts toward his other hand where he’s drawing lazy patterns on the concrete. With its claws half out and its tail puffed up, it races toward the wall, around the flower pot and jumps back onto the lawn to take another playful swing at Dabi’s limbs. Minutes later, he’s got the little menace chasing his fingers in circles, losing balance here and there and rolling over ever so often.
He’s focused, eagerly following the cat’s every move, trying to predict its attacks by the flick of its tail, an ear twitch, pupils that narrow ever so slightly before it leaps forward.
He’ll never admit it. That for once, there’s a sudden lack of grief in his heart.
Only when the first ray of sunshine hits the outer edge of the garden does he let himself fall backwards. The cat is but a purring weight on his thigh, stretching its paws across his lap with the softest ‘Meow’. Eyes closed and arms stretched out, he inhales slowly and holds his breath until he feels his pulse slow down. Dabi doesn’t care that his hair is getting a little wet, doesn’t care that the grass tickling his ears stings a little, doesn’t care that he’ll probably have red marks on his hands for a while.
If he shuts his eyes hard enough, he might still be able to convince himself that Touya is dead.

You share with us every week
Such a joy to read
The prompt of this week:
Form: Concrete (no, not Hell’s flooring)
Theme/word:
Base the shape on something that reminds you of Good Omens. Let's skip the salt and pepper shakers 😅.
What Is a concrete poem:
A concrete poem is a form of poetry where the words form a meaningful shape connected to the content. In this style, the visual image takes precedence over the words themselves. The goal is to bend the words to fit the shape, rather than shaping the words around the text.
Example:
I really can't wait to see all your work. Have fun! ~ Moon 💚

His Grease Monkey
Warnings: Smut, Daddy kink because let’s be honest Gibbs has a daddy kink. Pretty sure that’s it.
Y/N grunted as she slid out from under her black 1968 Chevelle, the creeper rolling smoothly across the concrete floor of the garage. She stood up, wiping her grease-stained hands on a red shop rag. She wore one of Gibbs’ old flannels. The soft fabric fell to mid-thigh on her long, muscular frame, barely covering the black boyshorts peeking out underneath.
She leaned over the engine again, tightening a bolt, the wrench clanking loudly against the metal. The flannel gaped open as she worked, revealing the ink marking her tan skin.
The rumble of a familiar car engine made her glance up. Gibbs pulled into the driveway, parking next to her shiny black Kawasaki Vulcan 900.
He got out and strode towards her, eyes trailing over her body appreciatively. She smirked, tossing the wrench onto her toolbox with a clang and straightening up.
"Working hard, I see," he commented, coming to stand beside her. His hand settled on the small of her back, just above the top of her shorts.
"You know I like to get my hands dirty," she quipped.
He stepped closer, backing her against the car. She gazed up at him through thick lashes, relishing the heat in his eyes.
"Daddy's little grease monkey looks so good all dirty in his clothes," he practically growled, voice low and gravelly.
Y/N bit her lip, arousal pooling low in her belly. She loved when he got like this - possessive, dominant, hungry for her. It made her weak in the knees.
He fingered the hem of the shirt, twisting it around his hand and tugging slightly to expose more of her leg.
"I think you got my shirt all messy, baby girl. We should take it off."
Y/N lifted her tattooed arms above her head wordlessly. Gibbs stripped the flannel off in one smooth motion, leaving her in just the tiny black shorts.
His hands settled on her waist, tracing the ink across her ribcage. He ducked his head, placing hot, open-mouthed kisses along her throat and collarbone.
Y/N moaned, burying her fingers in his salt and pepper hair, encouraging him.
He nudged her thighs apart with his knee, pressing his body against hers. She could feel his hardness through his jeans.
"Jethro," she gasped as he nipped particularly sharply at the juncture of her neck and shoulder.
"Hmm?" he hummed against her skin, hands sliding down to grip her ass tightly.
"The Chevelle can wait. I need you. Now."
Gibbs grinned wolfishly, easily lifting her onto the edge of the car. She wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him closer.
He made quick work of the buttons on his shirt, tossing it aside. Y/N ran her hands over his broad chest appreciatively, nails lightly scratching through the hair.
Gibbs kissed her hungrily, devouring her mouth as he unzipped his jeans. Y/N helped push them down along with his boxers, freeing his hard length.
She arched into him eagerly as he slid two fingers under her shorts, brushing over her wet heat.
"So ready for me, baby," he rasped.
Y/N bit back a whimper, grinding down against his hand impatiently.
"Please, Daddy..."
Needing no further encouragement, Gibbs threw her shorts aside and thrust into her in one smooth motion. They both groaned at the feeling.
Bracing his hands on the Chevelle's fender, Gibbs set a hard, deep pace. Y/N clutched at his shoulders, gasping and moaning with every stroke.
"That's it, baby. You feel so good wrapped around me."
Y/N cried out as he hit that perfect spot inside her. Her nails dug into his skin.
"Jethro, I'm close," she panted.
He increased his tempo, angling his hips to hit her g-spot on every thrust. The pressure built rapidly, pleasure coiling tight within her.
"Come on, baby girl. Cum for me."
His gravelly command sent her over the edge. Y/N came with a sharp cry, inner walls clenching and fluttering around him.
Gibbs grunted, rhythm faltering as her orgasm triggered his own. He spilled inside her with a low groan, pulsing and throbbing.
They stayed wrapped up in each other, both breathing hard. Gibbs brushed her hair back from her face tenderly.
"I love you, my grease monkey," he murmured.
Y/N smiled, kissing him softly. "I love you too, Jet."

Yours For The Night
Chapter 1 - Strangers In The Night
Chapter warnings - mentions of drug use, alcohol, and sex work, reader suffers from anxiety, mentions of sexual harassment.
The town was quiet tonight, even more so than usual. There was some kind of event in the next town over (a carnival or festival, you weren't entirely sure) and a lot of the townsfolk had travelled there in search of entertainment, a distraction from the dreary mundane day to day life of living in a small country town. The usual popular nighttime haunts, like the Bullhorn Bar and the Gin Lounge, still had a steady trickle of regular patrons slink through their doors, but everywhere else was lifeless and somber.
You lean back against the gas station wall and take a sip from the straw of the the slushie cup you are holding. It was around 11pm but you weren't in any rush to go home. You were living with your alcoholic cousin in a trailer park on the northern edge of town and half the time she was passed out or missing for days at a time. There was no warmth to return to, no hugs or smiles to greet you, nothing luring you back there except the guarantee of shelter and a bed. Your small circle of friends have equally shitty living circumstances; you all spend the majority of your time roaming the streets and haunting secret hideouts that have been sacred territory for runaways and strays for as long as the town has existed. The 24 hour gas station was one of the places you frequented and you felt comfortable to loiter there at such a late hour.
You're alone tonight. Some of your friends hitchhiked to the neighbouring town to check out the event. Another was spending the night with her much older boyfriend, the guy who often plied you all with weed and alcohol. Two others had been missing for a week now, rumoured to have disappeared after going to score drugs from a local dealer with a sordid history. With no company and no point in going home you chose to just drift for a while. You didn't mind being alone though. You learned from a young age to appreciate solitude.
You lower yourself to the ground with your back upright against the wall and your knees bent. You put the slushie next to you on the cool concrete and fish in your jacket pocket for the small rectangular tin you had grabbed from your cousin's bedroom a couple days ago. Smoking wasn't a vice you indulged in all the time, but you liked to smoke when it was available to you; cigarettes took the edge off the anxiety and it gave you something to focus on, the nicotine offering you just the right hit of dopamine to keep you afloat.
You retrieve the tin from your jacket and flick open the lid to reveal a thin hand rolled cigarette, the last remaining one from your cousin's stash. You pop the end inbetween your lips and reach back into your pocket in search of a lighter.
"Come on," you mutter lowly in annoyance, the cigarette dangling from your mouth.
After a second of searching it was clear your pocket was empty. Fuck. You must have lost the lighter somewhere during your travels today. You had no money left, either, and the guy working behind the counter at the gas station was nice but you knew there was no way he would give you a light.
You sigh heavily and bow your head, crestfallen. It may have just been a shitty stick of tobacco but you really needed it right now. You needed the comfort of chemicals filling your lungs and decompressing the pent up tension threatening to burst right out your body. Especially today.
"Needa light?" A baritone voice spoke suddenly, shattering the haze of your despair.
You lift your head up. A man stands just a couple feet away from your sitting position on the ground, but his height makes him tower over you. Where did he come from?
He was alot older than you, evident by the crowsfeet and wrinkles etched on his face and the salt and pepper colouring of his patchy beard and in the curls ontop of his head. You guessed he was 50 years old, maybe more. He was also incredibly handsome, with an aquiline nose and plush lips. His dark brown eyes seemed troubled as he stared down at you underneath his furrowed brows.
You were too preoccupied with openly staring at him that you did not respond to his question.
"Well?" The man gruffed, raising his eyebrows and tilting his face slightly downward. There was a hint of authority in his gesture.
"Oh," you mumble, eyes blinking rapidly. "Shit, sorry. Yeah, a light would be good."
The man took a small step closer to you, his boots scraping on the dirt of the concrete, and then crouched down to your level. His broad chest and large arms strained under his green flannel, his gorgeous face less than a foot from yours. You instantly felt crowded and overwhelmed.
The man held out a lighter in his large hand and downpresses the ignition button with his large thumb, sparking a flame. He stares at you closely as you lean in and ignite the tip of your smoke on the dancing blue-yellow flame. You pull back and his thumb slips off the button.
"Thanks," you say quietly, your eyes staring into his.
The man just nods and stands back up, his knees cracking audibly as he ascends. He takes a step backward, his eyes never leaving you. You tilt your head to gaze at him while you inhale.
"'S bad for you, ya know," he murmurs, looking back at you with a kind of gentle intensity that causes a tiny pull of desire to whirl in your belly.
"Mmm," you hum softly. You exhale through your mouth and give a little shrug. "Gonna die someday, anyways."
His jaw ticks and something unidentifiable shifts in his expression, a flash in his eyes that comes and goes in a split second. There's a few moments of silence while you regard one another. It isn't awkward but the air between you is loaded.
You have been flirted with since you were 12 year old, been persued by both boys and grown men since you were 14, learned how to use your body to your advantage soon after. You know when someone is interested in what's under your clothes. But this seems different. There is no flirty banter or coy smiles. It make you feel a bit unnerved to recognise that you can't tell what he is thinking, only that he looks like he's struggling with something internally.
You break eye contact first and look down to examine the chipped nail polish on your fingernails. His hands come to rest on his hips and his head turns to look left and right, scanning the area around the gas station. The place has been deserted tonight save for an occasional customer. The man's eyes land back to your face.
"What's your name?" He asks. You glance back up at him and tell him your name, then ask for his.
"Joel."
You nod to indicate you've heard him and take a drag of your smoke. Joel watches you.
"What're you doin' out here so late, all by yourself?" Joel asks. There's a twang to his words - he sounds Texan.
"Haven't got anywhere else to be," you answer nonchalantly. "Why are you out here so late, by yourself?" You parrot back to him with a slight smirk.
"Wanted to get a cup'a coffee. But that ain't a problem cos I'm a grown man, ain't no one gonna cause trouble with me." Joel replies with matter of fact confidence. "But you, well..."
You roll your eyes a little and inhale another drag. Ah, there it is. That is probably his deal - the upstanding citizen showing concern for the safety of today's youth running wild on the streets. You have had similar interactions with strangers before - mainly with self righteous religious do-gooders trying to offer words of wisdom and free meals at their church, which you and your friends declined.
"I ain't jokin' around, little girl," Joel warns. The stern edge of his voice makes you meet his gaze. "It's dangerous out here for someone like you."
You scoff and shake your head. "I can handle myself, so save me the speech, dude."
Joel sighs heavily and runs a hand over his beard. He seems genuinely concerned, almost exasperated by your indifference. You watch him, secretly delighting in how harassed he looks.
"Why do you care, anyway? You don't know me." You sweep away a lock of hair that's fallen infront of your eyes.
"I don't know, guess I feel bad seein' someone so young alone on the streets," Joel mutters quietly. "Where are your parents, they ain't worried about ya?"
You turn your head to the side and pretend to be distracted by a passing car in the distance. "Don't have parents, they're dead."
You hear Joel inhale a deep breath and then exhale long and heavy. You can tell he feels bad. You've gotten used to this reaction; the pitying sadness in the person's eyes, the apologies that spill from their mouth, the awkward tenderness in their need to hug you. You hate it.
"Shit," Joel drawls. "Sorry to hear that."
You take a final puff of your rolled cigarette and then flick it over the pavement. "It's fine," you say flatly. You push yourself up from the ground to stand, taking the sushie as you rise. "Thanks for the light, Joel."
"Where you goin'?" He asks, frowning. You shift the strap of your compact purse further up your shoulder.
"Phone's almost dead, gotta charge it."
You turn to walk away but Joel's hand, warm and so big, touches your shoulder to stop you. "I gotta charger in my room. I'm stayin' at the motel across the road, room 15."
You let out a little gasp at the sudden soothing heat that blooms under the unexpected weight of his hand. You stare at up him and he's gazing down at you, his dark brown eyes roaming over your face, and you think you can detect an underlying urgency in his expression, something pleading.
You step away from Joel and look down at your shoes. He pulls his hand back and clears his throat. "'S up to you," he mumbles. "Just offerin', ain't gonna push you."
You kick at some pebbles on the pavement and fiddle with the straw of your slushie. Joel's gaze is intense and you still can't quite decipher what he's thinking. In your experience older men approaching girls your age have little else on their mind but sex. But you don't get that vibe from Joel. There's no hungry lust in his eyes, no sleazy charm in his words.
Maybe he's too shy to outrightly proposition you for a quick fuck in his motel room.
You look back at him and study his face. He's handsome, there's no doubt about that. You'd probably fuck him for nothing, if you were in the right mood. He doesn't wait any longer for your answer.
"'M goin' to get a cup of coffee," Joel murmers before spinning around on the heel of his boot and walking toward the convenience store entrance.
He's only gone for a minute but you've found yourself glued to the spot he left you, unable to muster a answer to decline his offer. You would never admit it outloud but you're lonely. You don't want to return to the trailer and it's dingy mess, the dirty crumple of sheets on the couch you sleep on, the stale smell of beer that permeates the whole place. Just thinking about it makes your belly gnaw with a low level anxiety that you refuse to acknowledge.
Joel's hulking figure strides back out of the store with a paper cup of coffee in his hand. He doesn't show any sign of surprise or satisfaction at seeing you waiting for him and he doesn't stop as he approaches you.
"Room 15," Joel reminds you quietly as he passes by. He takes a sip of his coffee and stalks across the road towards the seedy looking motel, not looking back once. It's neon pink sign glows like a beacon in the night.
You watch him, admiring the broadness of his back and his shoulders, the confident masculine way he carries himself. He reaches his room on the bottom story of the motel and disappears inside.
Fuck it.
You scamper after Joel, your heart hammering in your chest.
The room is what you would expect it to look like given the tacky, run-down exterior of the motel. It contains a queen sized bed complete with a faded patterned comforter and matching pillows, a bedside drawer, a small table with a single chair, an ancient looking television, and a cramped ensuite. There are no pictures or paintings adorning the shabby off white walls, only a broken air-conditioner with dust caked on its vents.
A duffel bag sits underneath the only window in the room, the one that looks out onto the road. The bed is made and looks untouched, as if Joel has just checked in.
You are aware that this situation looks sordid - a young woman in a seedy motel room with a man much older than her, both of them strangers to one another. You know of other girls who have been in this exact situation before after being lured with the promise of drugs and alcohol and money. You've heard the rumours of how cruel men can be, how despite the bruises and the blood the police department don't give a shit about girls who are stupid enough to whore themselves out to strangers.
But you have learned to trust your gut instinct over the tumultuous early years of your life, and your intiution is telling you that you aren't in any danger with Joel.
He crouches down to rummage through his bag while you linger awkwardly by the door. He pulls out a phone charger and stands back up, his knees cracking as he straightens. You are suddenly taken aback by how imposing his figure is in such close proximity and in such a confined space.
"Should do," Joel mumbles, holding out the charger for you to take.
When you reach out to take it from his proffered hand, you can't help but stare at how thick his fingers are. They are rough and calloused. He must work with his hands, maybe doing some kind of labour. For a second you wonder what it would be like to have those fingers kneading into your soft flesh, or sinking inside you to stretch you open. A tug of yearning pulls in your belly and snaps you out of your imagination. With flushed cheeks you clear your throat and gingerly pluck the charger from his grasp without meeting his eye.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
"Thanks," you mutter.
"Can use the outlet by the bed, if ya want," Joel gestures to the socket under the bedside drawer.
You sit on the stained carpeted floor and plug the charger into the wall and connect your phone. Joel sits at the table and drinks his coffee. The only sound in the room is the occasional slurp that comes from his lips. You busy yourself with your phone but there are no new texts or calls for you to respond to and you soon get bored. You toss your phone to the side and sigh. When you look up at Joel, he is already watching you, a pensive expression written on his features. His beautiful hooded brown eyes look tired. He is still wearing his boots and his legs are spread wide, his thighs straining against the denim of his jeans.
"Why are you drinking coffee at night?" You ask. "Isn't that more of a morning kinda thing?"
Joel looks down at his coffee. "Didn't feel like drivin' around lookin' for a bar. Felt like a coffee instead."
You tilt your head to the side and study him. "Won't it just keep you up all night?"
Joel scratches the side of his face and sighs a little. "Nah. Don't sleep too good anyway."
"Is that black coffee?" You scrunch your nose. "You don't even take milk?"
Joel rolled his eyes and takes a sip from his cup. "You always ask this many questions?"
"You always invite girls to your motel room?" You bite back without thinking.
Joel freezes mid sip. He frowns and looks at you with a hint of sad reproach in his gaze. "No," he mutters, lowering his cup. "No, I don't. You can go, if you want."
"No," you blurt out, "no, I wanna stay."
Joel just nods curtly. Neither of you know what to say next. You idly scroll through your photos and old text messages in silence. After a minute Joel clears his throat and lightly raps the tabletop with his knuckles.
"So, where do you live?" He asks softly, his head tilted slightly to the side. You glance up at him and stretch your legs out infront of you, sighing.
"About two and a half miles from here, at the Twin Peaks trailer park. It's near the Chalfont diner."
"You live alone?" Joel quirks an eyebrow.
"With my cousin. But she's not around much." You reply quickly, matter of factly. You don't really want to discuss your cousin's drinking habits or just how depressing your living circumstances are to somebody you just met.
Joel hums his understanding and doesn't question any further about your cousin. Silence falls upon the room for another minute or two before he speaks again. "You got a job?"
"Nope," you mutter. "Worked at the supermarket across town for a while, until my boss showed me what a creep he was. Said I had to give him 'special attention' if I wanted to keep my job."
You aren't really sure why you're being so open with him when you're usually reserved with people you don't know. Maybe it's because his questions aren't prying and they lack judgement, but for whatever reason you find the words come tumbling out of your mouth without any thought.
You don't see the way Joel's body tenses at your revelation, how his fist flexes or the annoyed tick of his jaw.
"Sounds like an asshole." He gruffs.
"Mmhm," you nod in agreement. "He was. That was a few months ago, haven't really found another job since. What about you?"
Joel runs a hand through his salt and pepper curls. "I'm a contractor. Build houses and things like that. I live in Fallsview but got a project in the next town over. I'll be stayin' there for a few weeks."
"Cool," is all you can say in reply. You knew his hands weren't those of a man who worked in an office. Your eyes flicker to them now and you notice his ring finger is bare. "Are you married?"
"No," Joel answers with a small shake of his head. "Divorced."
"Oh." You purse your lips and frown a little down at your lap. You are concentrating on trying to construe just what Joel's intentions might be now that you have this tiny morsel of insight into his life. He's not married. He doesn't seem like the churchy self righteous type. And he is staying at this shitty motel alone. Maybe he really is looking for some action from you.
Joel can see you are clearly conflicted by your thoughts. He looks at you expectantly with a raise of his eyebrows.
"What is it?" He asks. "Seem to have somethin' goin' on in your mind over there."
"Dunno if I should ask it," you mumble and chew on the tip of your thumb sheepishly.
Joel makes a 'come on' gesture with his fingers. "Ask what? Let's hear it."
"Uhm," you clear your throat awkwardly, somehow mustering the courage to look at him as you speak. "I just wanna know...did you offer me the charger, like in exchange for something?"
Joel stares at you with an uncomprehending frown that makes you feel even more self conscious.
"You know," you blurt out. "Like maybe you were inviting me here for the charger but also expecting me to give you something in return.....you know, like sex?"
"Hold on a minute," Joel groans, pinching his eyes shut and holding his hand up to signal for you to stop talking. "Please."
You stop speaking. You spy a small tinge of pink on his cheeks and think he must feel as equally embarrassed as you do. But despite his discomfort, Joel's gaze is focused on you, commanding your attention.
"No," Joel answers with conviction. "I don't expect nothin' from you, just offered the charger to help you out, that's all."
"Okay," you reply meekly. "I just didn't know, so..."
Joel shakes his head dismissively. "'S okay. I know it might look that way, but I don't...do those kinda things."
"Okay." You whisper once more.
Joel sighs heavily and scrubs his hand over his face wearily. You are about to say something else, possibly to apologise for your curiousity, but are unable to stifle the yawn that forces its way out of your mouth. You hadn't realised how weary you were, and now it felt like sleepiness was beginning to settle into your bones. You weren't ready to leave Joel's company just yet but the walk home was going to be a struggle. You deicded that you had better leave while you were still awake enough to move your legs.
"Tired?" Joel murmers.
"Mm," you hum. "Guess I better get goin'. Thanks for the charger." You push yourself up from the floor and stretch your arms above your head, yawning once more.
"Where's your car?" Joel asks as he rises from the chair. You hear the joints in his knees cracking.
You chuckle sardonically. "Oh, you didn't see my red Ferrari parked outside the gas station?"
Joel shoots you an unimpressed look in response. "You ain't got a car? How you plan on gettin' home?"
"Same way I get anywhere," you say nonchalantly. "By walking." You unplug your phone from the charger and slip it into your handbag before pulling the strap onto your shoulder.
Joel reaches out to you and lightly touches your arm - it's a respectful gesture to gently command your attention, and it causes a tingle to dance up your spine.
"Let me drive ya home," he implores.
"I walk all the time, it's okay Joel." You assure him. Truthfully you wouldn't mind getting a ride home but he's been generous enough already and you feel uncomfortable at the prospect of receiving any more charity. You are not accustomed to accepting help from anyone; something that has become entrenched in your personality from the myriad of times you were left to fend for yourself, a part of your mentality born from self preservation.
"No ya ain't," Joel states definitively. "Ain't safe. I'll drive ya."
He doesn't wait for your reply, already having swiped the keys off the table striding to the door.
You acquisese with a little shrug. "Okay okay, wait up."
You sit in the front passenger seat of Joel's truck and glance curiously around the interior. The centre console is littered with some gum wrappers and silver coins. Apart from this and the tracks of dirt on the floor of the car, it is relatively clean. The faint smell of pine, leather and mint is pleasant as it wafts into your nostrils. You hear the rattle of a tool box somewhere in the back seat.
You tug the sleeve cuffs of your sweater over your hands and snuggle back into the car seat. It seems to cushion you in a way that makes you feel small and childlike; your mind conjures a nostaglic memory of you as a young child laying in your father's car at night, the enveloping blackness of the sky and the vibrations of the vehicle lulling you to sleep.
How you are able to curl into the seat is a stark contrast to the way Joel occupies the drivers side. His body fills his seat completely, thick thighs spread and knees touching the steering wheel. The width of his shoulders leave little room for his arm to rest without encroaching on your space, and the sleeve of his flannel is close to brushing against your arm. His hand practically engulfs the gear stick when he clutches it.
The radio plays some old fashioned country tune, low and crackling. You and Joel are silent during the ride and the only time you speak is to give him directions to the trailer park. There is some kind of tension in the air between you that you can't quite distinguish, and you wonder if Joel feels it the way you do. He seems a little unsettled - you notice his large mitt flex on the gear stick every so often and how his thumb taps almost nervously against the steering wheel as he grips it.
You brave a few glances in his direction out the corner of your eye. He stares ahead at the road and you are able to admire the attractive shape of his profile and his facial features. The fluffy salt and pepper crown of curls that sit atop his head, his aquiline nose, the plushness of his bottom lip below his moustache, the smattering of hair along his distinct jawline.
He's so handsome, you think. Especially for an older guy. How old is he, anyway? You hadn't asked him how old he was, but he hadn't asked for your age, either. It seemed a little awkward to ask now.
Joel clears his throat suddenly, startling you. You hurriedly tear your eyes off of him and stare at the road, hoping he hasn't noticed you watching him.
Joel drives past the Chalfont Diner and you turn your head to gaze at its broken neon sign flickering in the parking lot. The familiar sight signifies that you are almost home, and you feel a strange pang of disappointment in your stomach.
The entrance of the trailer park comes into view after another minute. Joel turns off the main road and drives down the dirt road that leads to the park. When he enters into the lot he slows right down, letting the truck roll as unobtrusively as possible as you direct him to your cousin's trailer.
Immediately you can see that there are no lights on inside the trailer and that your cousin's car is gone. You aren't sure where she is or when she will be home again.
Joel stops outside your home and parks the truck, but doesn't turn off the engine.
"This it?" He asks, peering through the front windshield to look at where you live. Although he makes no comments, you can't help but feel a little embarrassed that Joel is seeing where you live. What does he think of the peeling paint on the exterior of the place, the wire door hanging off its hinge, the milk crate of empty beer bottles haphazardly discarded on the partially dead lawn out the front?
He probably thinks I'm trash.
"Yep," you say unenthusiastically as you unbuckle your seat belt. "Thanks for the ride, Joel."
You aren't sure why you want to linger in his truck, why you feel a pull to stay with him just a bit longer. Are you really that lonely? You do your best to suppress the confusion inside your head and grab the handle to open the door of the truck. You give Joel a nod before getting out.
"Welcome," Joel nods back. "G'night."
You don't turn back to look at him as you trudge over to the trailer and up the couple of steps to the door. You don't turn back after opening the door and going inside, either, but you sense that Joel is waiting for you to safely enter before driving off.
The next few weeks pass by uneventfully. You and two of your friends hunt for different ways to earn some money - the three of you make a little cash by hand washing cars for a couple days, then the next week you peddle cartons of bootlegged cigarettes for your friend's uncle.
One of the girls, Lacey, tells you that the strip club where your cousin works is looking for waitresses. She suggests you both apply for a job there but you aren't sure you want to. Your other friend, Tiana, wants to be a hairdresser and has tried finding a job in town at the salons but has had no luck.
Life seems hopeless in this dead end piece of shit town. Your plan is to get work and save up as much money as you can and then leave and never come back. But judging by the way things are going that dream looks like it'll never come true.
When you aren't hanging out with your friends you sit on the steps of the trailer and write in your journal. It's a binded hardcovered notebook covered in a pattern of pretty galactic swirls of purple and silver. You have spent hours filling it with your innermost thoughts, your hopes and aspirations, aswell as poems and sketches you consider amateurish and at times silly. It's a piece of your heart on pages of paper, something precious and personal; journaling has been the only dependable companion you've ever had in your life.
Your cousin comes and goes, sometimes with a man you deduce is her new boyfriend. His name is Trent and he always wears a cap and a white wifebeater underneath a flannel shirt. He works at the steel mill just outside town. Whenever Trent is over he eyes you with smug lechery that makes you want to gag.
They are usually high or drunk when they return to the trailer and don't bother to restrain the sounds they make when they fuck. Now whenever you hear his truck rumble noisily outside you snatch up your handbag and escape to the streets in town.
Tonight is one of those nights. You scurry out the door and down the steps to escape before they even open their car doors. They don't seem to care though.
You leisurely walk along the back dirt roads into the cenrre of town, listening to music through a pair of old earphones that still manage to work. The twilight sky twinkles above you while you walk, and your path is beautifully illuminated by the round pale moon and the nearby streetlights. A slight breeze cools the bare skin of your legs. It is tranquil, soothing. You consider what you will do for the night. Maybe some of your friends will be out and about too and a group of you can get high under the bridge like you sometimes do together.
A sudden growling in your stomach makes you wince. You haven't eaten all day - you know if you get high when you're hungry you'll feel nauseous and want to vomit. Shit. Maybe you will try sell the last pack of bootleg smokes you have left so you can skim a bit of funds from the total and then treat yourself to something cheap from the gas station.
You head to the Bullhorn Bar where you know you'll have a good chance of finding a buyer to sell to. Unlike an establishment like the Gin Lounge, which mostly caters to business people and more self important members of society, the people at the Bullhorn Bar would be more inclined to purchase something off the street. The usual patrons are steel mill workers, rednecks and the occasional biker gang, and while the bar has a rough reputation you know it'll be easier to hawk something there than anywhere else in town.
You don't go inside but stay outside instead, casually leaning against the wall of the building by an adjacent alleyway. The muffled thump of the country music inside the bar reverberates through the brick wall behind you. It must be busy tonight, you muse.
You take out one of your own rollies from the pocket of your jacket and light it up. You smoke as you watch the occasional customer walk by to enter through the saloon style doors of the place. You wait a while before initiating conversation with anyone, patiently fishing for the right buyer.
Soon enough a man comes ambling along the sidewalk in a crumpled grey suit, his tie loose around his neck and his face flushed. He already looks half drunk. This should be easy.
"Hey," you greet him smoothly.
The man stops and looks at you blankly, his eyes bloodshot. "Evening."
"You smoke?" You smile a little, holding up your cigarette.
"Uh, sometimes," the man mumbles non-committally, unsure what you're getting at. "Why?"
"Well, I gotta brand new pack of smokes right here," you reach into your bag and pull out the box. "I don't need 'em. Wanna buy?"
The man shakes his head rapidly, making his jowls quiver. "Oh no, no, no thank you, young lady," he mutters, "none of that for me tonight."
"Come on, man," you soothe cunningly, "I gaurantee you haven't tried these before. They are smoother than those bullshit Malboros you probably smoke, and they are half the price. You can't say no to this deal."
The red faced man just continues shaking his head and raises his hands up in refusal, then quickly walks away from you towards the saloon doors.
"Oh, for fucks sake," you groan with annoyance. Oh well, that was only the first try. Plenty more to go. You pop your rollie back into your mouth and deposit the cigarette packet back in you bag.
"Those'll kill ya, you know." A deep voice speaks suddenly behind you.
You squeak, startled, and fling around. The voice belongs to Joel, ofcourse. He is standing tall infront of you with his arms crossed. He is so close that you can smell his scent from where you stand - a mixture of pine, mint and coffee. His hair is slicked back and he wears a green flannel shirt with a black t shirt underwear. You notice how his biceps strain the fabric covering them.
Joel looks down at you with the slightest hint of amusement in his eyes, and you notice how the tanned skin around them crinkles. "Forcin' strangers to buy some smokes?"
You shake your head a bit and snicker. "No," you say, "I'm just trying to make an honest living, thank you."
The corner of Joel's lips quirk into a tiny smile. "Sellin' bootleg cigarettes 's what you call an honest livin', huh?"
You grin sheepishly and give a shrug. "I'm working with what I got, man." You tap the ash at the end of your cigarette onto the sidewalk and take another puff. "What're you doing back here?"
Joel looks down at his boots and kicks at a pebble on the ground. "Finished work for the week and got some time to kill. Thought I'd drive through, see what's goin' on."
"In this town?" You scoff teasingly. "Not much to do here, Joel." You drop your rollie and crush the ember with the toe of your shoe.
Joel lifts his head and looks at you, the light from the streetlight overhead creating the illusion that his dark brown eyes are sparkling.
"You remembered my name?" He asks softly, sounding like he's both surprised and pleased at the fact you hadn't forgotten him.
You tilt your head and raise your eyebrows inquisitively. Ofcourse I remembered, you want to say. "Yeah," you reply simply instead. "Did you remember mine?"
Joel stares at you intently and nods, his jaw ticking once. He speaks your name then to prove himself, the rich timbre of his Southern accent sounding smooth and honeyed to your ears. You feel your cheeks blushing in response and you have to internally scold yourself for being so ridiculous.
"Yep, that's me," you murmur shyly, looking down at your shoes and fidgeting with your hands, unsure of what else to say.
After a few moments you hear Joel clear his throat and then you feel the heat of his large hand as he gently cups your elbow in his palm. "You wanna go get somethin' to eat? I'm starvin' and got no idea where to get a good steak around here."
You peer up and smile at him, "Uh, sure," you whisper. "That would be nice."

The outside is quiet as you stroll around the courtyard, boots thumping on the concrete under your feet. The night is peaceful; only the hushed voices of the crew on watch shift echo in the chilly air. A shiver rolls down your spine as you stretch your arms above your head with a yawn.
Suddenly, large, warm hands are placed on your waist, tickling your exposed flesh, startling you. You thrash around in the stranger’s arms, kicking your legs as you open your mouth to scream for help.
A palm presses over the bottom half of your face, and a very familiar voice shushes you. “It’s just me, sweetheart.”
It takes a moment for your brain to connect the voice to the face of your husband, but when you do, you exhale deeply. You nod your head for the man to release you, the tension disappearing from your body as he withdraws his touch.
You turn around to meet his eyes, slapping his leather-clad chest in annoyance. “I hate you,” you groan.
Negan grins smugly, catching your hands in his. He lifts them up to his face, leaving kisses over your knuckles. “Why? I’m lovely.”
The scowl on your face quickly turns into a soft smile as the man’s salt-and-pepper beard tickles your skin. He grabs your hips and pulls you closer into his embrace, kissing your forehead with a deep hum.
“Oh, how I’ve missed you.” His words are almost a hungry growl as he feels your hands sliding underneath the hem of his jacket and the shirt beneath.
He’s been away the majority of the day, and even when he was around, he had so much stuff going on it was hard to catch him alone. But the thought of your touch, your kisses, and sweet giggles hasn’t left his mind even once since the day started.
“Show me,” you challenge him with a chuckle.
He grins and grabs a hold of the bottom of your shirt, toying with it, his eyes locked on yours. “I plan to. Believe me, sweetheart,” his voice is velvety; it sends shivers down your spine. “I’ve been thinking of you all damn day.”
Negan pulls you closer and kisses your neck like a man starved. You can feel his warm breath against your skin as his lips glide back and forth. He slides his chin across your neck and nibbles on your ear. His jaw is tense. You can tell that he wants you—really bad. It's a promise that he'll show you just how much he missed you.

I've been speculating for fun about Tien's humanoid form. This is nothing concrete, but some ideas at the moment:
Tien's outfits are contemporary. Partly inspired by Matau's fashion sense, partly because they love to experiment and show off, they combine contrasting styles to great effect. The turaga sometimes roll their eyes at Tien for being a showboat - creating a new outfit or modifying it -, but they can't deny that they always look amazing. (A large part of that is their self-respect and self-love, so they wear everything confidently.)
While they are contemporary and look normal, the clothes' materials are much more durable and protective than their non-magical counterparts. You won't see these trousers fraying out!
Their hair, salt-and-pepper, is usually in an afro pulled back into a high pony tail. Most often after they first form, Whenua and Vakama's respective eye are in the same row so they can wear glasses. The dorkiest glasses that you can imagine, as @magicalgirlmascot said. But Tien sometimes manifests monocles in the spiritual world to mess with his little siblings a bit. Or outside when they agree that it sounds funny. And of course, they have a beard.
Some minor tattoos, but I have no idea which or where except the one on their chest over their heart, often covered up: A hexagon that shifts between the elemental colors of the turaga. (The colors look like the Toa Metru's canon armor.) The other tattoos are in white.
Hordika form has more bruthe strength. Tien in Hordika Form tends to get in close and personal with opponents, using their fast mind and body to overwhelm them with precise strikes and power. They are quicker to adapt to environment changes because of their shapeshifting.
When Tien wants to use long-range, they prefer Humanoid form. They will nail their targets with frightening accuracy - and sometimes fire from several hands - and manipulate their environment to their advantage / to their opponents' disadvantage.
Or they switch it up - you can never predict how they will fight. The scenarios mentioned are not absolute. The one constant is that Tien uses their terrifying intellect and cunning alonside their elemental energies and personal powers.
A Turaga fusion is still stronger than a baseline human and has access to their elemental powers again. But overall, even a Turaga Nui's strength generally 'only' surpasses one toa.
Tien is stronger than that. Much stronger.
Akamai and Wairuha speculate that the unique factors of Tien's emergence have contributed to their unusual power as a Turaga Nui in either form.
But while they haven't met that many Turaga Nui before? Tien seems strange even with all these factors considered. There's just something else that they sometimes sense within Tien and can't identify...

What does the perfect sandwich mean to you
I think for a lot of people (& I might be wrong, & that's okay) the "perfect sandwich" is a very specific, defined thing, presumably with their favourite ingredients made the same way every time. It's concrete. It's an object. It's a solidified idea. And that's fine. This isn't me going "well I'M different and BETTER", it's just different.
I think my idea of a "perfect sandwich" doesn't have any specific categorization and isn't some set recipe. This is vague, but a perfect sandwich is... exactly what I need, exactly when I needed it. That can be a lot of things! That's the point.
Back when I was in college there were some really good sandwich shops nearby, where I could get a banh mi or a submarine & have something filling and relatively cheap that I could carry around with me in between classes, or something quick I could get in the evening if I was working late or getting home late. (There was another sandwich place that was a bit of a walk away that did killer roasted veggie sandwiches, with eggplants and peppers and stuff. I think that was my favourite sandwich, which is different from the perfect sandwich. Also they closed down & got replaced by a shitty bakery at some point. It's probably a fine bakery, I'm just bitter.)
Now imagine it's the middle of summer and it's really damn hot and humid and I'm at home and I'm exhausted. Fully turned into a ghoul from the weather. I don't want to go to the nearby bakeries, let alone take an hour-and-some-change commute to the city, because it's fuckin hot!!!!! You know what else we got in these months, though? Tomatoes, usually!! Good tomatoes. It takes no effort to put tomato on bread or toast with a bit of salt and pepper, maybe a bit of mayo or balsamic, maybe a bit of a hard cheese. I can do that basically asleep. It tastes really fucking good, too.
When I was visiting my partner recently, she made us these little sandwiches for a picnic lunch, on a day we visited some gardens. She baked the buns herself, and they had some mixed greens and deli mustard and some cheese in them. This sounds kind of unassuming when I put it like that. Maybe I'd think that too if it was something I just put together for myself any other day (tho a bit of good cheese and mustard IS really tasty, don't get me wrong). The combination of "my WIFE made this for us" and "it's a beautiful day outside with my partner and I'm very hungry" made it feel very special. I've literally been thinking about these sandwiches months later. I make it for myself sometimes and it's just not the same, haha.
A very short example: Sometimes a grilled cheese hits the spot, & sometimes the exact same grilled cheese feels too rich, too heavy.
I spent 3 hours thinking about this. Sorry if this isn't a terribly conclusive answer. Was very fun to think about, though.

Synopsis: Vampire!Reader is captured and to be killed during the hunt. Jack and Ted to the rescue!
Jack Russell X Vampire!Reader (they/them), Platonic Ted friendship too
Sorry Avatar fans but the little werewolf guy got me (I have like 3 different vampire/werewolf blogs so this really isnt a surprise)
Sequel
The Bloodstone manor was a frankensteined mass of ancient wood, marble, concrete and metal. The old home was gutted and wired into the 21st century. There was a sprawling once overgrown garden reworked into a modernist labyrinth. With all the new amendments it was a marvel it'd retained even half of it's beauty. Though perhaps dangling from chains at the center of the maze did rob some of its charms for you.
Your arms ached after the hours hanging in that position as you tried another feeble attempt as tugging your hands free. Your toes could just barely scrape against the stone bellow and kept you from getting better leverage. Still you tried to pull yourself up the chain again even if you quickly slipped and snapped back down hard.
You yelped before you dropped your chin to your chest with a deep frustrated sigh. You'd been un-gagged once they'd hung you here, you could shout out? Though who amongst the guests would do anything but laugh at your predicament. Hell best they'd offer would be a swift end.
Your lament was interrupted by the sounds of someones approach. He moved slow and carefully into the circular garden you hung in. All hunters seemed to have striking appearances but you couldn't help appreciate his. Beautiful suit, salt and pepper hair swept neatly to the side and intricate paint framing a handsome face.
It was daft to be admiring your soon to be executioner but simple pleasures were all that remained now. So you would enjoy the curve of his lips, the slope of his nose and those dark eyes at now fixated on you.
You stared back at his now frozen form. It was a little amusing seeing him frozen mid stride like a cartoon character. Though levity turned sour quickly as you kept focus on him. The man seemed to grimace at you, a lip curling slightly before his face smoothed out again. You frowned, confused at him before he began walking towards you.
A shiver of panic ran through you. The chill of the night suddenly present and sending goosebumps across your skin. The fizzing ran to your fingers as you tugged more frantically on your restraints.
"Woah woah hey! hey!" Jack whispered as he came closer to the now frantic vampire. Verussa Bloodstone had made the horrible announcement that she'd had one caught as an extra surprise for everyone. Jack Russell had met a few in his years. Some blood crazed and beyond help but a few definitely worth protecting.
"I am unarmed, please be still!" He whispered over the rattling of the chains. He cringed, first at the sound then at the reddening skin around their hold. The vampires body was filthy, clothing tattered and hair greasy. How long had they been captured for? There was no blood on them, had they not fought back?
The vampire's body stopped thrashing a moment and they snapped a wide expression to him. He felt a lump in his throat. Even hanging there they were a vision, with beautiful sad eyes staring back at him. The momentum from their struggled kept their body turning. They kept shifting their head to try keep him in sight. Jack moved into view, circling to keep himself visible to them as he looked up at the chain's mechanism.
You watched the man with uncertain eyes. His quizzical expression as he took in the chain, the stone above it was affixed to, it's anchoring. Your heart rate settled as you observed him, his calaveras paint made the little changes to his expression more visible in the low light. He didn't look like was going to strike a blow any time soon.
"My names Jack...Um...can I just..." He stammered as he stepped closer. You remained frozen, raising an eyebrow to him. "I'm going to see if I can get you down..." He continued, mumbling his words.
Jack stepped in closer again, meeting your eyes again with his hands raised. Waiting for permission to touch you?
"Please." You said, not liking how horse it came out in front of this hunter. Then his face split into a crooked smile that sent butterflies straight to your stomach.
Meanwhile Jack tried to stop the shake from his hands as he wrapped his arms around their legs and lifted. He was momentarily surprised by the cool sensation before he realized he'd made contact with your bare legs.
"Mierda, sorry..." Jack said as he tried to adjust his hold. His lift took the weight from your arms and you couldn't help a groan that escaped your lips. The ache in your arms relieved a moment you relaxed in his hold despite your sudden nerves.
"Y/n." You said, still keeping your eyes on him.
His hands felt hot against your skin and sent a buzz through you. This close you could catch the scent of him easier. It was intoxicating, one part deep forest in the rain with a touch of musk and something warm. It awakened an entirely different hunger.
Jack tried desperately to avoid your gaze locked on him, instead focusing on the chain. He felt bad enough for gripping your thigh even if your sigh proved he'd helped ease the pain. Still it was no time to be ogling you especially in such a compromised position.
"With the slack, do you think you could free your hands?" Jack asked. You shifted in his grip, leaning into him as you tried to tug the knotted chain. You could feel the heat radiating from him but tried to remain focused on the task at hand.
Your scent all but consumed Jack now. His face so close to the base of your throat and chest. It took enormous will power for him not to nestle in closer and take it in. He felt embarrassed enough with how fast his heart was pounding, he didn't want to add to that.
"Someone's coming." You whispered. You paused your attempt to quiet the rattling and listened out. Past Jack's heartbeat you heard another, slower and approaching.
Jack cursed, lowering your legs slowly and gently before shifting away. A panic bubbled in you again. He was going to leave you here? Of course he was, he was a hunter wasn't he? Then he turned back, soft hazel eyes locking onto yours.
"I'm here for my friend, Ted, I'll draw them off, find him then we'll come back for you okay?" He promised with a sincerity in his smile that had you convinced in a second. You nodded, smiling tightly back at him.
Jack ran off into the maze, shoes slapping loudly against stone. The approaching hunter veered off course and you listened to them fade away. Then you were alone again, pain singing loudly up your arms.
You started swinging your legs. At first in some attempt for escape but it gradually grew into a way to waste a little time. Ticking like a pendulum in the growing chill of the night. You hoped Jack would be back before your arms died entirely.
You were brought out of your daze by a fresh scent lilting through the breeze. The familiar notes of nature but different, fresher somehow? You stilled your waving legs, letting your rocking slow until you were hanging rigid.
The smell lingered, strong and close but you couldn't hear the pattering of Jack. Though as you strained you did hear another heart approach. Then another behind you beating strong and steady. You were going to try turn when another hunter entered the circle.
He wasn't Jack. He was taller, broader and his smirk was cruel. He stalked forward like a predator, eyes raking up and down his prey. You squirmed under his gaze and let out a low hiss.
"Well, pretty sure you were meant to be a prize for the winner~" He purred as he approached. He put a hand on your hip before harshly pushing you. The chain spun you in circles as he laughed.
"Oh this is just too good!" He jeered. You thrashed violently, trying harder to pull free.
In glimpses you saw his laughing face, then something looming behind him, then a mass of roots and nature and blazing red eyes. Then he was screaming in a burst of bright flame, flesh searing and turning to ash in the claws of the hunts real target. A creature unlike any you'd encountered before but that held that same earthy scent Jack had.
"...Ted?" You breathed out. You had to suppress a squeak when the creatures massive head snapped up to you. The pieces seemed to fall in place in that second as Ted's face shifted, his eyes softening to you.
"Ted!" You smiled gently as his great clawed hand reached to you, stilling your spinning with the ease of just one finger. "Your friend Jack was here."
Ted's eyes widened and a low grumbling came from deep in his chest. He sounded surprised but appreciative, though whatever words were in the rumble escaped your ears. You didn't even have to ask as his other hand gripped the chain. It melted away and you dropped to your feet, what was left clattering from your wrists to the stone floor.
Your balance was gone and you tipped forward on unsteady legs. Ted's hand was raised still and you caught yourself on his thumb. He looked to you with sympathetic eyes as you tried to stretch out the strain in your shoulders.
"Thank you Ted," You said, patting his hand as you tried your legs again. More stable this time you took a few steps and feeling seemed to return to you. "We should stay low, avoid the hunters until we can find your friend?" You asked.
Ted nodded deeply shifting back the way he'd come, pausing briefly and looking over his shoulder to you. You jogged after him, glad for him accepting to your tagging along.
You shifted quietly through the maze, listening carefully before taking corners. It was harder for Ted, the bloodstone was affixed to his shoulder and seemed to be causing some amount of pain. Every few steps he growled against the sting.
Another hunter passed ahead and Ted grabbed your body in one hand. He dove back into the shrubbery with you now dangling in his hand. It was odd to be held by him, feeling more like hanging from a tree limb than a hand. Vines and moss seemed to grown against his skin, little glimpses of flowering plants amongst blades of grass up against his shoulders. He was a lovely creature and the idea of the others hunting him made you suddenly furious.
Ted made an odd grumble turning slightly. You wanted to ask but where sure now you'd only be met with more grumbling growls. He let out a louder roar pushing a clawed hand through the shrubbery.
You primed yourself to pounce out for a fight but the rumbling in Ted's chest sounded more like a pleasant chuckle.
"Hey! hey! What's up?" Jack cooed. Through the ivy Jack met eyes with his old friend, a delighted smile spreading across his face. He reassured him through the small space before Jack spied Ted's other hand.
"Oh you found them! Good good, this makes things a whole lot easier!" He grinned up at you with a slight wave. You returned it, wobbling unsteadily in Ted's grip, before holding back onto his hand.
"Oh...um Ted? Maybe you could let them down again?" Jack smiled nervously. Ted rumbled a response but gently placed you back on your feet. "Well yes but they are okay now, right?"
Jack's eyes met your confused expression.
"You understand him?" You asked.
"Yes of course." Jack answered matter of factlly before moving on to share his plan. You shrugged to yourself before you heard another approach.
Jack and Ted both reacted too. Ted immediately had you by the shoulders and was pulling you off to hide again, whilst Jack scrambled away. You ran along side Ted keeping pace with his strides. He wailed again as the bloodstone burned against his skin.
Pity for him swelled again. Ted was being so kind to you, he didn't deserve to be trapped in here in so much pain. Jack at least understood that too but why was still a mystery. Hunters of the past may have had a different code but these days it was kill first ask questions never. Why was he different?
You hid again against the smooth stone peaking into the gloom for anyone sneaking up on you both. Ted slumped against the ivy with a groan. Still he kept an eye down the other side with his back to you. You were glad he seemed to trust you, it'd been a while since you'd had a real ally.
Ted's claw hooked your arm, tugging you towards the shrubbery. You turned spying the bearded hunter approaching it. You stiffened ready to pounce if he drew too close but he was distracted. Another hunter yelled to him and he spun.
Ted reached a hand out gripping the hunters head and setting it ablaze. You leapt out to the other hissing and bearing fangs but stilled. Her weapons were lowered and her hands raised so you snapped your mouth shut. Ted roared furiously at her but she remained still, then she addressed him.
"Your friend is waiting for you both." She explained.
Ted grumbled pleasantly his body relaxing as Elsa lead you both back through the labyrinth. You jogged on the rear keeping a head spinning back for the other hunters. You could hear them all around, approaching the thundering footsteps of your new friend as he ran.
An explosion rang out ahead of you, Elsa diving to the side as some rumble from the wall bust out towards her. You slowed to a stop as Ted ran ahead to the gash in the external wall. Elsa flung a grapple out pulling the stone from his back as he ran out.
He bellowed pleasantly and you couldn't help but laugh. Elsa and Jack beamed as you jogged towards the hole. The stone shone on the floor, angry red light that made your eyes water. You practically snarled as you passed it and sprinted across the grass.
You paused when you heard a strange sound, followed by a grunt. Where was Jack? In the gloom you could make out the hunters circled around him, prone on the ground. What was he doing?
"Ted! Ted stop!" You called quietly as you tried to catch up to him. He stilled vines whipping out from his body as he turned. Ted chirped and tilted his head to you.
"Jack! Something happened he's still back there." You exclaimed. Ted made a groaning sound before he scooped you up again. You'd stopped being surprised by this now and instead gripped onto the moss of his back when he placed you there. He could be surprisingly nimble for such a large creature, moving swiftly back through the labyrinth and up to the manor.
"Wait stop here." You called slipping down off his back to land on the ground. "I'll sneak in here, we have to figure out how to go about this without getting caught again."
Ted grumbled some approval looking around before pointing off to the glass domed roof. You nodded and he jogged off towards it as you kept low around the side of the building. There were windows and doors but the likely hood of an alarm being triggered was high.
It took some time by you found your way to an open door. An elderly man walked through and past into the halls of the home. You wedged a foot in the gap letting him walk on before slipping through.
For an awful few moments you worried an alarm would blare. That they somehow had more security that would descend on you again. Had you fought harder, risked killing those who hunted you first maybe you'd never have ended up here. Then again if you had perhaps you'd still be alone.
All signs showed you were too late. A commotion in one of the rooms drew your focus and you slipped in with armored figures before the doors shut. Jack was gone and Elsa remained in a cage at the center looking terrified. The other figures spun around the room but missed your sudden appearance. It was only when a werewolf dropped from the ceiling you realized you were the least of their concerns right now.
You rushed the cage as attention fell upon the figure tearing into the security. You could barely take your eyes off the attack. Wild fur, pointed ears, snarling and claws. All was a blur of motion and snapping.
"Elsa!" You called to her. She was already moving to climb out of the cage but you bent the bars ahead of her. She frowned a little but smiled to you with a curt nod. She clambered out as your eyes focused again on the werewolf, preparing to fight back if it came to that. Something in it's scent caught you then, a warm musk and his face still painted.
"Christ is that Jack?" You asked watching again as the werewolf leapt to another foe. Elsa didn't respond just rushing to the wall to grab a sword before the hunter in white reappeared. It had to be right?
You sensed the hunter diving to the side as they took a swing. You tucked and rolled bashing into the wall. You looked up stunned feeling the nights events hitting you harder now than before.
The bloodstone matriarch was in front of you the vibrant stone flashing and you hit the wall again. You let out a shriek and collapsed to the ground, black spotting in your vision as you spied Jack hurling himself at her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack awoke as he did most nights after a full moon, though maybe feeling a little worse than normal. His body ached from the change, his mind reeling and confused as he tried to piece together the events that lead him here.
A soft song drifted on the morning breeze as he groaned pulling himself out towards Ted. He struggled to his feet, cloak wrapped around his naked body against the morning chill. Ted offered him tea and he took it moving to sit with his friend as he recollected himself.
His hands shook. Elsa? He'd been trapped in there with her. He asked Ted but his conscious was clear. She was fine and well back at the manor. Ted and him joked as he began to feel more himself. The night coming back to him in reverse he was startled by another thought.
"Wait our new friend, y/n, the vampire?" He asked Ted in a sudden panic. Ted shifted his leg chirping an explanation. He'd smashed into the estate, scooped up this one and took them with him as he ran off to find Jack. They now laid curled up in the shade Ted provided at his feet. Sleeping soundly in the dewy grass it seemed.
Jack admired their peaceful expression before Ted mumbled something. Jack felt the heat rise to his cheeks and he huffed.
"No! I was just worried they were still caught is all." He grumbled, crossing the cloak in tighter as he buried himself in the tea. Still considering Ted seemed to have taken a liking to their new friend, perhaps it wouldn't be so hard to convince them to come along?
