The Travelling Salesmuse Problem

Curiousity had never expected to find herself in the role of a Test Subject. That was a human thing, after all. What information could robots potentially give when they were programmed to act in specific ways every time?

However, one of the tasks had called her name. Bellatrix’s Task, near the bottom of the selections. It was an excuse to finally use her Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. No humans here had one, who else was supposed to prove Aperture’s superior technology? It would be just like back at the facility, use the ASHPD to get from point A to B to C. Simple, easy.

Or so she had thought. While the clone seemed unwilling to attack a child, they found other ways to stop her. Obstacles piled in her way, broken bridges, and now literally just standing in her way. There didn’t seem to be any surfaces conductive to her portalling through, leaving her stuck with only Fibonacci’s safe zone checkpoint left before she could return to Golden.

How was she supposed to fix this? Doubling back would take too long, right? Curiousity glanced back trying to figure out how much time that would take, only to spot another pair coming along the same narrow path. A pair she was growing increasingly familiar with.

“Are you guys trying to get to the safe zone, too? Can you help?”

It wasn’t unusual for Bullet, the younger, curious cat to wander out on its’ own but when Bastard was gone as well Ogata knew something was up. It had taken no more than a look of his cellphone to figure out what was going on.

He’s on the last leg of the Traveling Salesmuse Problem. Just second ago he’d manage to shook off Ofiucoclone off his tail but he knew it wouldn’t stay that way for a long. He couldn’t stay uselessly cowering in the corner of a street like this.

He makes no panicked haste however. Eye  darting right and left before it finally stops on one of the houses standing on the street. His mind turns back to Barato - where Hijikata Toushizou had approached him through the buildings on the way to the belltower.

A very different sort of situation but it should work. He picks a house with a large window on the door and quickly grabs his cloak tying it around his arm. Like that he crashes it through, fairly cleanly. From there he reaches towards the clock. He’s almost done when footsteps reach his ears.

Of course someone has to appear there in that very moment.

Reines had done her part in the little test run the Stars were doing. She had carried the torch, and even been roped into a second quest by Judar. Two quests when she hadn’t intended to even do one. Asking anything more from her was just pushing it; all that her plans included today was going shopping in Cotes.

Crack! Reines reacted instinctively at the sound of the collapsing tree, sending Trimmau to brace it as she herself stepped out of the way. Only after she had moved to safety did she have time to pause and realize the situation.

Kirei Kotomine. Of course he just had to be here. And what was more, it seemed Reines had just interfered with his Ofiuclone’s attempt to block his path and slow him down. 

“Bellatrix’s Quest activated. New participant: Reines El-Melloi Archisorte.”

the ingredients for a transformation potion he desperately needs are a rare find here. he succeeded in creating a potion only for it to be taken away from him again. in order to get it back he will be doing the salesmuse and maze quest. like for an event starter, the cap shall be at 2!

slides back in..... second event! if I like any event ads, kyrie won’t be going for one with fighting as the primary point to it; they’re built more for evasion even if they bring along a kitchen knife. if there’s no fighting, or attackers are involved but can be creatively dealt with or avoided, they wouldn’t have a problem with it (examples: beware the winds, traveling salesmuse).

Another Starter Call so soon after the first?! Why yes. Yes I did do that. This is a starter call for the Optimization event, for those wanting to participate in team-style questing!

Fair warning, compared to some other muses here Red is technically almost powerless. She’s fast and agile, yes, but those are natural. Her actual power that’s unlocked is Tracking so it won’t be useful in combat!
