Snow Days, for Sales
So it's been snowing and three to four inches are here so far, probably more coming not much anyone can do about the weather.
Thru common sense and practice you can start later if your job is on the road, if the customer is not plowed out for you, your delivery trucks won't make it either. So a day in the office or your home office is what to do. Just to let you know, emails and phone calls to reschedule customer appointments you have on the calendar are first. Second, could you check in with the office, are you needed to fill in for inside sales? You have a reliable car already for this winter hazard a well-maintained personal vehicle.
So you are at the office it is time to look carefully thru your sales reports and pick out the gold, the conversations you had with your accounts. Yes, you are looking for more business, or an anniversary, a child's birthday, or something in that line of personal information you will use to come to be a closer supplier and a potential friend in the makings.
How about on this slow business day, you put the finishing touches on that sales letter or email blast, how about putting the words on that verbal recommendation received from a customer put it as an addendum to your next sales report. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, it is just around the corner, Hanukkah and all other holidays are important and need to be kept alive forever.

I just wanted to say that as intense and melancholic your Minotaur sculpture series looks and makes me feel, the ways you *write* about it gives me chills. The way you mix an explanation of the piece and little bits of flavor text in every post you make about it is just delightful.
Aw, thank you! I don't really know what I'm like...known for, I guess, but I do actually write for a living. Words are my profession. Sometimes it comes through! Sometimes it does not and I just spew malaphors incoherently.

i think i am going to make a pay what you want digital zine this year for people who want to get into making little artist alley knick knacks like keychains and stickers and enamel pins, cuz i get a lot of asks about that and i think it would be nice to put my design skills to the test and have it all in one place! that being said, what kind of questions do y'all have about this stuff that you would want answered? everything from packaging to shipping to the products themselves, what would you guys want in there? keep in mind i have only sold on etsy myself and a couple craft shows, so i can't give much advise about personal storefronts.
please put them in the replies on this post so it's all in one place!

Sales Reports Value
My blog is a common-sense conversation with anyone interested. My advice is based on decades of experience, from a sales career worth being proud of. This blog is about sales reports, this is the hard copy that an outside or inside salesperson submits to the boss. Maybe it is done weekly, and reviewed and critiqued by the whole sales staff.
Good keyboarding skills with good sentence construction and excellent spelling and grammar. The following are questions that the report answered.
Who, the customer's name, When, the date, Why are you there( Example, thanks for the order, how about our quote, what's on your desk I can help you with but before anything else ask specifically for the order) Under Who that purchasing assistant or agent or manager or owner. you know by his/her first name and what they buy because you asked and got a plant tour. These are nice people that know their business, solve problems, and don't reinvent the wheel.
The above was a sales report I continued to use for all my sales calls of that day and week, I wrote by hand notes to follow up with my customers on exact items and problems and quotes I personally would call or email knowing my close friend (eventually) preferred to do business with someone he would trust, and if needed a second look. People are successful, not bots or AI, talk to people and be happy and comfortable living an excellent life.

i think it's really funny we can see him testing out his hair implant with a wiglet before he got it
also funny that you can see the actual line where the hair implant happened
it explains his mother's hysterical post about her son's bald head and him not showing up for 2 months without a cap. why his people told the sun he'd spent some random week or so away in an island with taylor, when nobody had known they'd been or seen them. wanting to give cover to his hospital vacation.
also in my mind why he's sticking with taylor for a while. he's had to hide away.
he definitely planned these photos like he did those other photos of him at the swim. he's trying to generate "excitement" for his new releases.

I made a big report a year ago that compares what components were allocated to orders the previous week vs what are allocated now (accounting for consumption n such). it looks at 100% of inventory in 100% of locations. for the first 9 months I was just logging changes while no one gave a shit cause everyone blew off our weekly inventory meeting so there was no one to review anything. but no one can do that anymore :)
I have all the part numbers, quantities, dollar values, and customer accounts laid out very nicely so no one in sales can accuse supply chain of buying stuff for no reason when really they changed their orders around without telling anyone so they wouldn't have to admit making any mistakes.
this report hasn't made them stop trying to lie/hide things in the first place tho. maybe one day.
