Werewolf Seth x gn!reader

Readers cat, Salem, doesn't seem to mind the werewolf in the basement!

The silvery-white moonlight gently streamed through the small, dusty basement window as the night grew darker, you and your newfound werewolf companion hunkered down all cozy, chatting away to fill the time. There was still a part of you that couldn't believe any of this was real.

"Oh…"

Your attention was drawn to the creature's gaze, which led you to the stairs where your Maine Coon cat was seated. His piercing greenish-yellow eyes, which practically glowed in contrast to his soft dark fur, were fixated on the wolf-man before him.

"Didn't that thing hiss at the boy on our way in?" He squinted at the cat, a little surprised by its calm demeanor.

"Heyy, he's not an 'it'," you protested, "his name is Salem."

"Of course it is," he huffed. As he turned around, he realized the cat had vanished. With a shrug, he shifted to say something to you when he felt a sudden vibration on his tail. Somehow, without the wolf-man noticing, Salem had curled up into a little cat loaf and wedged himself comfortably in the curve of the beast's tail, and was purring contently. The two stared at each other for a moment, not a single thought behind Salem's eyes.

"Is your cat normally this chill around werewolves?" he asked sarcastically, his breath making Salem's pointy ears twitch.

"Yeah pretty much, with all that fur of his, he fits in pretty well." you joke back. You watch fondly as the creature extends a hand, letting your kitty rub against the side of his claws, and his purring intensifies. Little man was just livin his best life. The creature raised his head slightly, looking up at nothing in particular and chuckling under his breath, making Salem's ears twitch beneath him.

"Seth?" you cock your head slightly.

"He's just bein' salty in there," the creature shakes his head.

"What's he saying?" you ask.

"He's mumblin' something about 'not much of a cat person'," with a shit-eating grin, he leaned in a little closer, "but between you ask me, I think he's just salty that the two of ya's like me more," he in a low voice, even though Seth could still hear him loud and clear.
