However, my enthusiasm dwindled as the film unfolded – drowned in an excess of buildup, hype, and an overdose of slow-motion sequences.

The constant bombardment of information made me feel like I was drowning in a sea of plot points, desperately waiting for a lifebuoy of engaging storytelling.

Just when my eyelids threatened to surrender to the monotony, a sudden surge of intense background music would jolt me awake – a desperate attempt to salvage the film's momentum.

It became evident that the movie relied heavily on these artificial awakenings, attempting to compensate for a lackluster narrative.

Halfway through, I found myself lost in a slow-motion abyss, where every movement felt like an eternity.

Prithvi Raj and Prabhas showcased commendable acting skills, their screen presence undeniable, but even their brilliance couldn't salvage a ship sinking under the weight of excessive cinematic elements.

While Prabhas and Prithvi Raj delivered stellar performances, a movie cannot rely solely on the charisma of its cast.

"Salaar Ceasefire" becomes another chapter in Prabhas's journey, but unfortunately, it feels like a misstep rather than a leap forward.

The downfall is palpable, leaving me yearning for a more balanced and gripping cinematic experience.

in the first salaar trailer when deva says Please...I...Kindly...Request! I was like wow this dialogue is kinda cringey. but lads I must admit. the actual moment in the movie. what he does before and after that. had me and the rest of the theatre HOOTIN AND HOLLERIN. truly an example of context making a dialogue work.

Is Prithviraj gonna be a BAD GUY??? With all the ambition and stuff???

But wait. Oh my god my shipper’s heart. Prabhas going “NOBODY SHOULD TOUCH YOU!” about Prithviraj jeezus stop it you guys. I’m so used to Prithviraj being taller than or as tall as the other actors in his films. I’m not used to seeing him look smol 👀👀👀

This is a homage image for the amazing Jagapathi Babu, who makes the best bad guys in Telugu cinema if you ask me. The looming President in Rangasthalam, the cunning Krishna Murhty in Nanaku Prematho and the amazingly bloodthirsty Raja Manar in Salaar, just to name a few, are so evil that you just feel the light disappearing from a room when they walk in!

I thought the line in the Salaar trailer where Varadha says, "I want everything the eye can see” sounded very ambitious. I wrote that line based on my memory, so the exact line may not have been like this. But that's not the point.
