Food Fantasy fandom, what is happening with the newer Food Souls? This is a genuine question. Why do so many of them focus on things to do with reality and whatnot? What is the Unreachable Realm and why is it owned by a couple of Food Souls? Like this is quoted from the Food Fantasy Fandom Wiki for the Lightless Forest, “They have created a Sacred Realm by using the artifact, Magatama, which is to let Food Souls in the Reality of Sakurajima live carefreely”
What the hell does that mean??? Why is reality suddenly becoming such a big part of the lore??? I know the global server hasn’t gotten any main story updates (someone on the wiki said it’s because the English publisher isn’t bothering to translate/update because it won’t get them any money, which explains a lot about this game’s downfall), but seriously where the actual hell is all of this stuff coming from??? And Pesto Pasta is out here breaking the fourth wall and being self-aware that he’s in a video game, like-
Sir I am just trying to cook my recipes and raise my children, I am not trying to confront the philosophy of this game’s world.
#food fantasy#like seriously#also if it's true then the thing about the main story hiatus on global pisses me off#I don't even think there's that many whales left anyway#maybe if they actually had a reason to spend money on this game that'd be different#I remember when everyone would talk about upcoming Nevras and Palata cuisine#Speaking of which#where is all the Palata lore#like does Palata just not have Food Souls or#also they seriously need to nerf Palata stages

Okay but, Food Fantasy X Touken Ranbu Crossover.
The cooking swords and M food souls cooking together and sharing recipes.
Long Feng and Nihongou getting drunk together while Hasebe and Realgar Wine drinks tea together while complaining about the former two.
Tsurumaru, Sukiyaki, Ume Ochazuke, and Udon joining forces to prank the other food souls and toudans.
Houchou could finally meet some married women (or just women in general).
The alcohol food souls and alcohol drinker swords getting together drink the restaurant and citadel dry of alcohol.
Wonton and Akashi being lazy buds.
Beer and Mikazuki being old men together.
The toudans sparring with the swordmen/swordwomen food souls.
There could be some confusion between everyone because some food souls and toudans share the same voice actor.
The tantous and children food souls playing together.
If the saniwa is also a master attendant (i’m talking about someone who plays both games) the toudans could probably order takeout from the saniwa’s restaurant (they’d probably order sakurajima cuisine food most of the time).
And more!

Master Attendant Tomoya Kondo Profile
Normal Outfit
Working Apron
Winter Outfit
Name: Tomoya Kondo (Tomoya = Friend of, Kondo = Near Wisteria)
Age: 18
Sex/Gender: Cis Male
Birthdate: June 21st
Home Country: Sakurajima
Likes: Dogs, Birds, Takoyaki (recipe), cooking, the outdoors
Dislikes: Bullies, natto (recipe), sitting still
Family: Mother, Father (Missing), 4 younger siblings
Personality: Loud Hot-blooded Friendly
Tomoya is a rather friendly and boisterous guy, always willing to meet new people and help those in need. He takes both friendship and family pretty seriously, to the point where he's willing to do a lot for both. He tends to put a lot of energy into everything he does, especially if it'll help the people important to him though sometimes he'll over do it. After his father's disappearance he's feel like it's his responsibility to do whatever it takes to make sure his mother and siblings will be taken care of and be happy, even if that means sacrificing his own happiness or doing things they may not entirely agree with, whether that involves stealing or going off to become a cooking attendant against his mother's wishes.
Though his passion for cooking and desire to become a cooking attendant whether his mother wants him to or not isn't just for his family's sake. His father was the one who taught him how to cook and he just wants to feel more of a connection to him now that he's gone. He doesn't always admit to this part of his motivation because he feels it's a bit selfish. Especially since he knows his mother just doesn't want him to disappear like his father did.
History: Tomoya's father was a cooking attendant, who disappeared along with his Food Souls not too long after his youngest sibling was born. To this day, Tomoya's family doesn't really know what happened to him, but Tomoya vowed he would do whatever he could to look after his mother and siblings until his father returned.
Things were difficult though, and the family quickly fell into poverty since Tomoya wasn't old enough or experienced enough to take over the restraunt in his father's place at the time of his disappearance and his mother had no skill at cooking herself. Tomoya and his mother both did the best they could, but things eventually got so desperate that Tomoya actually started to learn how to steal. This was how he met Michio, who saved him from a street vendor he'd tried to steal from, paying for the stolen wares even as he scolded him for stealing in the first place. Tomoya could tell right away that Michio was a kind person underneath his cold exterior and sought to befriend the other boy.
When he inevitably discovered that Michio was training to be a cooking attendant, he was immediately fascinated and tried to convince the other boy to help him become one too. Unfortunately, Michio wasn't really much help, but Tomoya was still inspired to try and learn to cook anyway. Something Michio actually did help him with a bit. After thinking about it for a while, he finally decided that whether he could find someone to teach him to be a cooking attendant or not, he still wanted to open his own restraunt. So when he and Michio turned 18, he approached the other boy with a proposal to open a restaurant together.
Surprisingly, Michio agreed to this rather quickly. Even more surprisingly, Michio wanted to open the restaurant in Gloriville instead of staying in Sakurajima. Tomoya was a little reluctant to go that far from home, but he figured it wouldn't be hard to send the money they made back to his family. So he agreed.

So even though I have been playing for a while now, I only just now finished Sakurajima’s (my starting one) recipe list.
Can you unlock the other kingdom’s recipes? If so, how?
#fleur personal#food fantasy#I heard you could and it would make sense so you can raise the fondness of other food souls#but I don't know how to get them?#Do you have to be at a certain place story wise?

31 Days of Food Fantasy: Day 29 - Crossover! Food Fantasy is now in the Style of the Last Game you Played!
Well I alternate between Food Fantasy, Pokemon Go, and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp currently. The order I usually play in right when I wake up is Go, then AC, then FF. So AC it is!
I know I should probably draw this but ........you have your mini map overview of Gloriville, Light Kingdom, Nervas, and Sakurajima, your restaurant, the shops, and a trial area.
You can harvest food stuffs from the four sections to create recipes at your restaurant for food souls to visit. There are also food souls with quests at each of the four locations. They are still anthropomorphized animals: Milk/Steak are cows, Moon Cake/Jello/Salad are bunnies, Yogurt is a sheep, Bonito/Sanma are cats, ect.. and you just level up your friendships with them~<3

I'm having a lot of trouble with the airship asking me for recipes or ingredients I haven't unlocked yet. The only way I can complete them is by getting lucky and finding them in the marketplace. Is there any other way around this?
unfortunately, short answer: i dont think you can?
you need to have a recipe to request it from a friend and you can’t request individual ingredients from friends. the best i can say is if you don’t want to constantly spend the crystals or get stuck scouring the marketplace, try and power through the stages so you level up quick and then go back and ace the stages later. if one stage in particular is giving you issues, its main ingredient is usually a secondary ingredient on the next stage though, which will eat up stamina, but at least isn’t completely hopeless.
it may take different combinations than your normal team! especially once you hit Nevras/Sakurajima the game really punishes you if you only rely on a few units rather than rounding out your roster, if you’ve been lazy about building fallen angels for your food souls and if you haven’t figured out cooking talents. like, i cannot stress how much this game takes a sharp curve in difficulty as far as story content goes especially if you have been relying on unascended UR units to power through it. it sucks, honestly.
good luck anon! i have faith in you and if you ever have other questions you’re more than welcome to DM me on here, chat with me on discord or send another ask!

Cooking With Anime: Buri Daikon from Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Senpai!
Sakurajima, Mai is definitely one of my favorite characters of the season. I love her relationship with Sakuta because it's so quick-witted and racy, but not in an overwrought eye-rolling kind of way. Their banter is so fast and fun; it's hard to dislike the characters when they are so honest and down to earth. Or, as down to earth as they can be when dealing with adolescent syndrome. In any case, I'm so in love with Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai that when I saw Mai making Buri Daikon, I knew I had to add it to my roster of dishes, and for good measure, I bumped it to the top.
Buri Daikon is a winter dish, because the fish (hamachi) is in season in the winter. It's a hearty dish that is uncomplicated and filling, and the quality of the ingredients really shines through because of the simplicity of the seasonings. The daikon and fish simmer away in the traditional kaeshi flavors to create a meal that is subtly sweet, salty, and perfect with a steaming hot bowl of rice.
Some techniques to know: many recipes recommend blanching the fish in boiling water to remove any fishy odors before you cook it. This will make sure the final dish doesn't smell or taste overwhelmingly fishy. My fish was pretty fresh, so I settled for dressing the hamachi in sake and salt, which has a similar effect, purely because I didn't feel like boiling the water. If you season with sake and salt, let sit for ten minutes, and then pat the fish dry before putting it in the sauce. If you want to blanch it, you can avoid the sake and salting altogether; it's your choice. The recipe I was using called for 25 minutes of simmer time, though I think my stove was on a little high, so the fish became a bit overdone. Below, I recommended 20 minutes, but you may need even less time. You want to cook it through until tender, so gently test done-ness with a chopstick or a fork. You also may want to flip fish halfway through so that the fish soaks up that yummy sauce evenly.
Watch the video below to see the full process.

Ingredients for Buri Daikon
Adapted from this recipe.
-1/2 a large daikon, peeled
-3 Hamachi fillets
-3 tbsp sake
-Salt
-1 1/2 cup water
-1/3 cup sake
-1/3 cup soy sauce
-1/4 cup mirin
-3 tbsp sugar
-3 tbsp minced ginger
-Chopped green onion, for garnish
To Make the Buri Daikon
1. Start by peeling and chopping daikon into quarters. Cut hamachi into bite-size pieces. Dress hamachi with 3 tbsp of sake and salt. Let sit about ten minutes, then pat dry.
2. Bring a pot of water to boil. Toss in the daikon, and cook about 15 minutes or until tender and easily pierced with a fork. Drain water and set aside.
3. To a medium pan, add water, sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Add in daikon, then fish, and sprinkle top with ginger. Reduce heat slightly, cover with parchment paper lid, and let simmer about 20 minutes.
4. Remove from heat, serve up, and garnish with chopped green onion! Serve with rice and miso soup.

tag game
Rules: Answer questions given to you, write 11 new questions, and tag people to answer those questions!
I was tagged by @spockslash, thanks grandma! <3
1. When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?
Well on the internet, sometimes people ask me for writing advices or to betaread something. And my parents come for my help to move heavy stuff.
2. What would be your first question after waking up in the year 2233, from being cryogenically frozen for 215 years?
“What season of Supernatural is it now?” Haha just joking, I’d probably ask about technology and space travel I guess.
3. What is your ideal way to spend the weekend?
Lots of energy and inspiration: waking up early, writing all morning, finishing a chapter and updating it, getting a bunch of long reviews, drawing some dumb Merlin art and putting it on tumblr, chatting with @geek-trough-time-and-space while watching Netflix, and a shopping trip and/or restaurant with @less-life-and-more-dream :D
4. What is the most heartwarming thing you’ve ever seen?
My friends and my parents. Just looking at them or thinking about them warms my heart.
5. What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
Fanfictions, Writing, BBC Merlin, Libraries. Japan.
6. What’s the best thing that happened to you last week?
I took a few days off at my parents’. So I was fed for free and had no dishes to wash! \o/
7. What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see?
I dunno if that’s amazing, but I only sing and dance when I’m alone.
8. How different was your life one year ago?
Not that different tbh. I had different coworkers, that’s all.
9. Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been?
In south Japan, Sakurajima, with my feet in warm water and gazing at the sea, @less-life-and-more-dream by my side and a few stray cats napping. I want to go back there!
10. What are you looking forward to in the coming months?
Lots of stuff! In order: New Year Eve, updating new chapters for my fics and starting a new one, some shopping trips with friends for the sales, eating Galette des rois (yum yum, I’ll try to bake one myself), maybe a new haircut, and travelling in Ireland with @geek-trough-time-and-space! I can’t wait!!
11. Who inspires you to be better?
@geek-trough-time-and-space inspires me to be more kind, patient and open-minded. @less-life-and-more-dream inspires me to be more determined, to learn more stuff about history and art, to plan for my future, and not be such a lazy ass. @dupond-and-dupont inspires me with her creativity, energy and bright positivity. People I never met IRL inspire me too. Like you, @spockslash, you inspire me to take pride in my passions, to never stop enjoying fandoms and writing fanfictions. I’m also in awe with great fanartists like @thefriendlypigeon or @maryluis who make me want to practice to become better at drawing.
And now I’m tagging: @creepywonderland-pony @dupond-and-dupont @geek-trough-time-and-space @kateis-cakeis @less-life-and-more-dream @maryluis @thefriendlypigeon @andersandrew (why can’t I tag you? weird) @calimera62 @mr-and-mr-pendragon @always-keep-writing @istadris (I can’t tag you either! WHY) @littleworldofskad @dixseptdixhuit @amethystsworld @bearwithoutpaws @lett-them-eatt-cake and whoever wants to do it.
My questions are:
1) What would an evil version of you look like? Describe it or draw it.
2) Share your knowledge! Teach us something weird you know :D
3) You find a way to stop the time, as long as you want, as many times as you want. Only you can move, everything else is frozen. While it’s frozen, you don’t age. How do you use that power?
4) Can you cook? If so, please share a recipe with us?
5) If your life was a book, what would the first lines be like? (It can be a serious biography, a funny light book, poetry, drama, romance, or even a comics of child’s book, whatever you want!)
6) How’s your day so far?
7) How many languages can you speak?
8) Rec us one or two good fanfics you’ve read recently!
9) What do your family members and/or partner think about you being into fandoms (and writing fics or drawing fanarts if you do so)? Are they supportive?
10) Your top 3 fav characters ever?
11) Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself.
Of course you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to!
By the way, @dupond-and-dupont , you just lost the game. :D
#meme tag#about me#i'm procrastinating at work#saturne is answering stuff#i hope i'm not annoying anyone by tagging them#just tell me if you don't want to be tagged anymore and i'll remember next time
