Thinking about times I had a friend help me do makeup and she was all
"You want to use a dark brown eyeliner, not black, it will be more subtle and natural" and similar advice but like
If I'm gonna go to all the trouble of wearing (and later, washing off) makeup, I do not want subtle. I do not want natural. People better look at me and immediately know that time and effort went into this look
I want my sparkling teal eyeliner to catch the eye from across the room, the hot pink lipstick so glossy it blinds those who dare to stare, purple eyeshadow emphasizing my penetrating glare
Give me the strong, bright striking colours or leave my face alone
