Three months have passed since the princess and knight were hanged. The kingdom now celebrated the King's birthday. The populace were present with the kingdom's workers. Many people came to the King's birthday with gifts.

"Your daughter?" He was taken aback. They assassinated the saintress's daughter. It was treachery, as well as a bad omen.

"She...She had sex with a knight and became pregnant. It was against the law to kill her."

"What!" The saintress's wrath was audible in her voice. "My daughter has never had sex with anyone other than your son."

"What." The prince whispered, but no one could hear him but the enraged woman.

"And that child was all his." Her voice was trembling the party. The royal family was upset, and everyone stood up and bowed.

"We are deeply sorry." The royal household pleaded.

"Stand! And look me in the eyes." According to the woman. Everyone stood up and looked at the woman, who had white eyes.

"I curse you and your land to never die because you have become like this.May your days of never dying bring you all pain." They were all staring at her as she walked away.

"Wait, punish me!" says the narrator. Amir, Prince, implored. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Please."

"I curse you and your brothers to never fall in love again," the woman said as she paused in her movement. Until the only lady you murdered returns. Yes, they will marry, but they will be as cold to her as you were to her."

The woman vanished. A grieving royal family was left in a celebration they would never forget.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!! "What have I done?" The prince screamed uncontrollably. He could recall the grief he had caused the princess.

She urged him to explain. He wished he could undo all of his mistakes, but he couldn't.

izzy doesn’t want to ask, so she doesn’t and simply waits eagerly to see jace fail. 

simon adjusts his jacket as he walks into the unfamiliar bar, looking around nervously for the guy he was supposed to be meeting here. clary had said that her girlfriend knew a guy �� handsome, of course, because clary would never ever set him up with someone ugly – that he might like, and he was supposed to meet him at exactly eight-thirty-pm. 

simon lewis, however, is anxiously early and trying not to bounce himself into an upset stomach. he didn’t know who he was supposed to be meeting because izzy and clary were lesbian tyrants and adamantly refused to show him a picture, leaving him only with the name jace and coy smiles. he hates them, a little bit, but not enough to actively stop being their friend. 

he orders a beer, because he doesn’t have the stomach for anything fancy, and is only a couple sips in when someone taps him lightly on the shoulder and asks in a voice that sounds akin to an angelic choir: “are you simon?” as he turns to look at the stranger he feels his stomach doing flips and swears to buy izzy and clary the best engagement present he can afford because even if he wasn’t simon, he would be absolutely anyone this blond bombshell wanted him to be. 

“yeah, i’m simon.. you must be jace.” and simon must be hallucinating because the look on jace’s face is..charmed. really, really charmed.
