Been doing voluntary work with this community of descendants of St Lucia’s Freedom Fighters who rejected slavery back when the English and French ruled over the island. To spend time in this truly amazing place is to discover a unique expression of peace and tranquility that is simply not to be missed. The question I get asked the most by persons on the Photo Tour goes something like this - So Kirk when did you move to the island? This question always makes me smile since I was born here and this has always been my home - well along with Antigua where my Mom was born, Barbados where my Dad was born and Jamaica where I spent 4 years at the University of the West Indies. Recently got certified in NGO Professional Management thru the University of the West Indies Open Campus as a way to strengthen my mentorship work with the community of Fond Gens Libre in #soufriere where the #grospiton nature hike commences.
