Château Leoville Barton, appellation Saint Julien. 1988 (94-95/100) . Very deep, dark fruits, violets, mushrooms and forest floor. Texture is very elegant with silky tannins. Impressive wine because great to drink now but you can always keep it. The best issue could be 2025-30 . That is an amazing point of best Bordeaux wines. You can taste great wines older than you ! . Room (two rooms to be precise) with gorgeous views. @parisperfectrentals took the stress and hassle out of a loooong trip from the west coast (Oregon) and made our arrival in the City of Light the most seamless and stress-free experience I have had in all of my now six-times traveling to Paris. From the swift and ready pick up at the airport, to accessing our apartment with ease, to walkable access to so many basic everyday favorites to enjoy while here - croissants and fresh baguettes, the got-to-see-it just because she's what caught my eye as a kid - Tour de Eiffel, as well as museums, markets and shopping, and of course an apartment full of thoughtful luxurious touches. Saint Julien

Aujourd'hui un petit frenchie, un prêtre du XIXeme du diocèse de Grenoble. En vrai il sappelle Pierre-Julien Eymard. On va faire court on va dire Julien.

Pour changer dès son plus jeune âge il veut devenir prêtre, et pour changer son père n'est pas d'accord. Bah ouais, il a un commerce florissant d'huile d'olives et il aimerait bien que son fiston le reprenne. Bon finalement papounet meurt et Julien peut devenir prêtre.

Et puis un jour dans la basilique Notre-dame de Fourvière il a une révélation : c'est fou comme on s'en balek de l'adoration du Saint Sacrement (ce petit bout d'hostie dans un beau cadre en or qui représente Jésus) et franchement ça se fait pas ! Du coup il crée la Congrégation du Saint Sacrement, domicilié, et c'est cocasse, rue de l'enfer. Il est élu Supérieur à vie, tranquille. Bon par contre sa communauté est grave pauvre, lui-même se fait tej de sa maison qui se fait raser pour faire un boulevard. Rude.

Il meurt peu de temps après, en burn out de tous les problèmes de sa vie. Vous allez me dire c'est tout ? C'est tout mais c'est beaucoup ! Le gars a remis à la mode le Saint Sacrement et pour l'Eglise ça vaut largement une béatification. Eh ouais.

Elaborado com 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot e 7% Petit Verdot, passa 12 meses matutando em barricas de carvalho. 🍷Na taça tem cor vermelho-rubi de média intensidade. Frutas negras maduras, alcaçuz, pimenta-do-reino, tabaco e couro. Em boca tem corpo médio, acidez moderada e taninos sedosos, de intensidade média+. Tem fruta negra, mentol e pimenta-do-reino, com média persistência. 📝 Belíssimo vinho! Equilibrado, macio, elegante e complexo: desenvolve várias camadas aromáticas e mantém estrutura para mais alguns anos de guarda. Um vinhaço! 93+ pontos. . Estava na adega desde 2014 e valeu a pena esperar. Comprado na @ClaretsBrasil por um terço do preço de hoje… 😫💸 . 2003 Château Branaire-Ducru is in an awkward phase...when I first poured this, it was hard to believe this was the same lush #wine I had tasted many years prior. It was incredibly backward and the fruit was in hiding. After many hours of air, the wine started emerging from its shell and provided a little more aroma and flavor. It did have the tell tale St. Julien cassis, pencil shavings and cigar box, but it never fully emerged from hiding. With bottles like this I find it hard to know if it was the particular bottle that is the issue or if other bottles would show the same profile.
