i had a frenzie but it broke on a Milleore and Sahli Lao dupe, i got a Mukku frenzie on the tail end of it but it broke on a Summon Dogu dupe, and Diantha dupe.

so no 😔 tho at least it got me 50 rolls on the present banner, depending how it goes in the next few days....

Getting Summer Lucio t WIC E was the moment when I knew I would absolutely hate him more than I already do

BUT I SPARKED MUGEN!!! Ever since the event and his initial release I've been crazy saving just so I can bring him home one day and today was that very day ���� Time to start saving again for my 3rd spark now (Ｔ▽Ｔ)

ive been thinkin for a while about sahli lao and about how you could easily make an argument for her being a trans lesbian and it makes me happy. im glad they didnt go that route+i hope they dont choose to in the future (for like. reasons) but as a headcanon i think its super nice and i hope its something a lot of other people have considered as well

This is really late since I’ve been busy with moving, but over in GBF I sparked for Grand Nehan when he came out, so here’s how that went.

TL;DR: I should probably regret this, but I don’t, lol.

It would have been great if I got him early without needing to spark, but I did end up having to spark [and I really had to scrape the bottom of the figurative barrel to make this work], but here’s what I got along the way.

And then I sparked Nehan. I also got Troue from the water star premium banner a while ago, and I picked up Seox from the Seeds of Redemption rerun [along with the event welfare Seox].

It kinda hurt that I had to spark for him, but I think I got enough good stuff along the way to justify it. For one thing, now I have four Ixabas, which means that combined with my two Agni copies, I can set up a primal fire grid once I get enough bars for it, and also dump some sunlight stones into Agni. That’ll probably take ages to set up, but at least it’s an option.

I also got four copies of Lennah’s weapon, which I guess I could fuse into one uncapped copy if I really want to. I’m far away from bothering with a primal earth grid, though, so I’ll just let them sit in my inventory. It’s nice to have her as a character, though. She seems like a really good healer, although I’m not really at the point of doing long raids on full auto, which is what she seems made for.

I’m really happy I got Sho, since his whole event ended up making me like him a lot, and this also makes me feel a little better about how I was initially trying to save for Grand Narmaya but got swayed by the power of depressed catboys. I already have most of the good wind units anyway, but Sho still seems really good. Grand Narmaya’s probably still worth sparking for later on, but I can probably justify putting her off for a bit now.

I was also hoping that maybe I’d be able to do a spark in summer [and hopefully get some of the new summer units along the way to sparking Narmaya], but I doubt that’ll work out. I do have like 50 summon tickets left in side stories to get, and about 40 main story chapters, but I’ve basically run out of fate episodes to go through now, and summer gives daily tenfolds rather than a roulette, so unless I straight up whale, I probably won’t really get enough even by the end of August.

I mean, I DID whale on this banner to finish the spark, but that was a rare moment of unfiltered retail therapy, so I’d rather not to that again any time soon, lol.

In other GBF news, I’m trying to make actual progress with my account now that I have time again, and I’m definitely getting there, but I feel a little paralyzed by choice with how many different things there are to do, lol. For now, I’ve got all of my SSR seraphic weapons, and all of the 3-star opus weapons, although I haven’t skill leveled a few of them yet. I’m basically done with the M1 weapon side of things, so I’m trying to get into M2 weapons, but I dunno if I’m strong enough for those raids so I’m just using pendants and daily points on some of them.

I haven’t gotten around to trying out some of the stronger raids yet, but I’m at the point where I can basically OTK all of the Omega Extreme raids, which is nice. I could do the main four ones easily enough for a while now, but Nehan has helped me to OTK Luminiera, and now that I’ve finally started to actually use Summer Zooey I can OTK Celeste. Or at least get close to it, lol.

I can also OTK the GW EX+ boss [and by extension the DB 2-star boss] with my flame team, but like with the Omega Extreme raids, I have to use most/all of my buttons to make that work, so low-button OTK set-ups will be a while off. I haven’t tested out how my other elements would go against the EX+ boss recently, but I think my wind team should be able to do it. I don’t think my other elements are strong enough for that yet, but I’m trying to focus on my earth grid for the next GW.

I’m also at the level where I can technically start going for Astral weapons and six-dragon weapons and so on, but I doubt I’m actually strong enough to grind for those yet, lol.

I also want to eventually unlock Luchador, Monk, and maybe Masquerade, but that doesn’t feel like a big priority now.

There’s also Arcarum, which I’ve basically been putting off forever, but I’m finally forcing myself to do it, lol. I’m just getting into the extreme difficulty ones, so it’ll probably be a while before I can actually recruit any evokers, but the first ones I’m aiming for will probably be Alanaan, Nier, and Caim.

Anyway long story short, I’m happy I got Nehan, lol.

Hello, previous gbf anon! I was lucky enough to get 3 ssr’s so far, Charlotta, Eustace, and Aliza. My water team is definitely my strongest right now, I somehow have more water sr’s than I do light, dark, and wind combined. Currently, that team is Katalina, Ange, Charlotta, Io, and Sahli Lao. Also, I guess at this point in the game, my goal is getting more elemental weapons, like from the side stories?

Side story weapons are a great start! If you can get in some omega raids, those are also important!

Translator Notes:

I had to change the joke here slightly for English, though surprisingly not as much as some comics we get.  In the original Japanese, Sahli Lao addresses everyone using the somewhat formal and polite honoriffic -dono (”Lunalu-dono”, for example) - everyone except Milleore, whom she addresses simply as Mira (short for Miraoru, her full Japanese name).  Not using an honoriffic when referring to someone in Japanese comes across as very casual, so it can imply either a large degree of closeness or affection, if used towards someone you like, or disdain or disrespect, if used towards someone you don’t.

Since English doesn’t do honoriffics in the same way, I had to substitute in something that would approximate the somewhat intimate feeling doing this would generate, and referring to someone using an affectionate nickname seemed like a good substitute.  So that’s what I went with.

It took a bit longer than I expected for the flash gala to start, but I’ve finally done my first spark in GBF.

I’ll go over what I got out of it [from what I remember, lol] under the cut, plus some of the stuff I got from other recent summons.

Before I get into my spark haul, I did like 120 or so summons on the S-Lucio banner, mainly because I really wanted him and I wasn’t sure if I was gonna even stick with the game so I just threw all the summons I had at it, and from that I got S-Lucio, S-Sandalphon, Amira [her OG version, not her summer version that was on rate-up, lmao], Grimnir, Melliore and Sahli Lao, probably at least one other SSR I forgot about, and some random summons, including Summer Satyr. Even though it was probably a bad idea to pull on a banner like that when I wasn’t able to spark, I got the main thing I wanted from it, so I’m happy. I also wasn’t even fully aware that S-Sandalphon was on rate-up for that banner so it was a bit of a surprise to get him too, but he’s also another unit I really wanted. And obviously Grimnir was just a really great pull in general, lol.

After that we had the whole free daily tenfold event, the treasure rush campaign, and a couple of PG tickets, and out of that I got SSR Aliza [free tenfold], Arulumaya [PG ticket], Ilsa [PG ticket], Colossus [treasure rush], Illnott [treasure rush], Wind Naoise [treasure rush], a dupe G-Eugen [free tenfold], and a dupe Uriel [treasure rush]. Plus lots of random materials from the treasure rush. I don’t think I got any crystals [or draw tickets] out of it aside from the guaranteed 30k, though. Anyway this was a pretty nice haul, since it really helped flesh out my flame and wind teams more. Mainly my flame team, which was in dire need of more SSRs. But getting Wind Naoise was nice as well, since he’s basically an alternative to Yurius, so he goes really well with Grimnir and Andira [who I already had from my roulette anniversary draws], and that’s basically the meta wind team as far as I’m aware.

Also around here I finally got around to joining a crew, and the SSR ticket from the final pinboard missions got me Water Yodarha, who I think is gonna be extremely helpful for farming, since I didn’t really have a good plain damage nuker before him.

And then I decided to spark on this flash gala, which got me Summer Jessica, Summer Teena, Summer Silva, Wind Yuisis, Marquiares, SSR Stan and Aliza, Anne, SR Nezahualpilli [I’ve gotten lots of other new R/SR units recently too, but at least he’s noteworthy for being a good skin for my SSR version of him, lol], Yurius [lmao at me getting actual Yurius like a week after getting not-Yurius], two copies of Summer Yggy, Lucifer, Morrigna, Hector, and a couple other new SSR summons. Then I sparked Lucio, who’s basically been my spark target since day one.

I’m not too interested in most of the random units I pulled along the way to getting Lucio, but it’s really nice to have Yurius, even if he maybe doesn’t have as much value to me now that I also have Wind Naoise. Oh well. I’m at least happy I also got most of three new summer units from this banner. I wish I had have also gotten Summer Mimlemel, but I’m probably not even at the point where she’d benefit me a lot gameplay-wise. But I at least got all the other ones from this banner [aside from Summer Alexiel who I already had from anniversary roulette summons].

Also some of the other notable SSRs I already had before all this were S-Alexiel, Andira, Percival, G-Rein, Lily, Pholia, Izmir, Nezahualpilli, Mellisabelle, G-Eugen, Baal, Earth De la Fille, Light De la Fille, G-Vira, S-Heles, Light Ferry, G-Ferry, Kou, Olivia, and Vaseraga. And some of my notable summons were Agni, Freyr, Raphael, Uriel, Medusa, Nacht, Tsukuyomi, Kaguya, and Summer Rose Queen. So at the moment I definitely feel like wind, earth, and to an extent fire are probably my strongest teams, lol. My light team really needed a boost, which is part of why Lucio was my spark target, so it’s nice to have both him and also the Lucifer summon.

Now I just have to hope that I can actually get anything out of the upcoming earth GW, which will also be my first one since starting the game. My earth team feels pretty good, but probably more suited for long battles, not OTK stuff. So GW might be a bit of a nightmare, especially since my earth grid isn’t super developed, lol.

Anyway, I guess now I’m just gonna start hoarding for my second spark, which will probably be for the New Years banner, and go toward either the new Ox zodiac, or a legfest grand unit like Cain, Noa, or Rackam.
