Warrior Cats OC Mass attack!

Uh-oh... kittypets at the Gathering?! Had the idea to revenge all the folks who attacked me in a Warrior Cats Mass Attack in a Mass Attack of my own! Sorry if any of you had a Warrior Cats OC I didn't notice, just grabbed a cat OC instead if I couldn't find one.   (And a bit of self indulgence with my own OCs a big warrior cats piece like this is very nostalgic for me) Here is a link to a version with all the cats on a blank background without overlaps since some are obscured in the main piece.  https://postimg.cc/D8dgxV3s  Let me know if you'd like your individual character(s) too and I'll get around to it when I can! Overview of character interactions: Area 1, Left side rocks:  Mostly a cheerful group but Harpystrike is disgruntled by the night's events. Dawnclaw is laughing, Suntrail and Honeystripe are looking curiously, Geckotail forgets he can just turn around and is trying to look back over his shoulder. Area 2, Leader trees: Cragstar is stoically on the tree by himself. Spiderstar is amused but plotting at the highest branch. Ravenstar has their claws out, and is particularly angry to see a certain cat (Spidercrawl).  Dovestar is on the branch below, and also not pleased.   Area 3, back of the clearing: Toadstorm is so tired of this shit (and also hilariously shorter than his friend Sagefeather).  Murkpaw peeks out from behind Sagefeather like the menace they are. Gorsefreckle is hiding from her former mentor.... (Spiderstar) Area 4, Stump! The five unexpected guests themselves!! We have Owl, who is quite frightened by all this attention, the kittens, Bald and Billy, particularly excited to be here. And then Scar and Spidercrawl unbothered by the chaos.  (I'm assuming Scar with boots was meant more for furry version I just thought she'd look funnier with them here.) Area 5... everyone else!  Back tracking to the Left we have Slateheart and Flamepool in the front, coming to greet the strangers.   Behind them three older cats watch with varying expressions.  Critterfoot is a grouchy elder about all this, Blackleaf recognizes one of the visitors. And Thistlestrike watches diplomatically. Behind them, Martenwhisker, my daughter, is also watching, looking over her shoulder with a cold expression. And finally last but not least...! Cinderspark and her sibling Possumstep- Cinderspark wondering what's going on and Possumstep getting right into their mean girl antics. Eww! Kittypets! They can't sit with us! Shen’dralar: Ilyssae’s mother was never on fantastic terms with the other Eldre’thalas Highborne, and Ilyssae and her brother kept largely to themselves during those last couple centuries before Dire Maul was abandoned. That being said, some older Shen’dralar may remember seeing Ilyssae in passing, or have even suffered her presence when she was a petulant, brooding youth!

Field Research and Academia: Ilyssae went through a variety of teachers and learning institutions before finally clicking with her mentor Eoselle. Her magic studies these days are mostly independent, but she’s spent enough time in Stormwind, the Azuremyst isle, and Dalaran that fellow wizards and scholars might have worked with her on one thing or another however briefly!

Extended family: Naga, blood elves, high elves, Nightborne, or even the spidery fal’dorei—elves are kind of known for having evolved any which way in the aftermath of the Sundering, and Ilyssae’s family tree is full of holes after millennia of neglect. It’s entirely possible that she has a long-lost relative walking around in a different shape.

Fence-hopper: Although she is technically still an Alliance citizen, Ilyssae distanced herself from the kaldorei after the frosty reception her kind received post-Cataclysm (a decision she’s finally starting to second-guess) and is now working for a trading caravan crewed by oddballs and outcasts from both the Alliance and Horde. Maybe you’re one of her mixed-faction work acquaintances—or maybe you see her as a faction traitor and have a serious bone to pick with her.

Druid…?: Ever since coming back from the Shadowlands with golden eyes (and that’s a whole other story in itself), Ilyssae seems to have a new affinity for natural magic. However, she’s still stuck in the rigid thinking of a mage, so she’s always looking for Druids who have the patience and inclination to help her figure out this new side of her magic.

SSO's Books + Comics petition - A small update

People will probably get a bit annoyed at me for doing this but I'm at a loss for what else to do and it would feel weirder if I did nothing.

Sagefeather, a player on SSO Amino contacted me a little while back with a desire to help try and get SSE to rehire Helena, Elli, and Christine. They also suggested reminding SSE themselves via customer support or as comments on their social medias the first Monday of each month.

Sounds good to me. Spaced out but persistent. And the petition is still pinned on my blog if people want to sign it.

For as much uproar as there was at the news that Elli and Helena got laid off, there doesn't seem to have been much effort put into trying to convince SSE to bring them back.

Maybe people think that SSE shouldn't bring them back, or the trio should turn the opportunity down because of the manner in which SSE laid them off in the first place. I wouldn't blame people if that's the conclusion they've come to, given the information we have.

But Helena and Elli themselves have expressed sadness and disappointment at the situation in an "I was looking forward to creating more content with the characters" sense for the most part.

Do I think the trio should take up the offer if SSE ever presented it to them? I don't know, but it's also not my choice to make. I just want to encourage the possibility of a choice.

Between asking SSE for more books and comics versus complaining about barn-scented candles, the former sounds like more worthy cause to put effort into so I'm going with that.

🎨: does your character have a unique skill that sets them apart from others?

Osprey's great with words; she got her suffix, -song, because of her gift of gab!! Honestly she would be a great storyteller or poet (cat poet?) if she wasn't The Way That She Was.

🤍: what does perfect happiness look like to your character?

There's a lot of things Olive wants: courage, forgiveness, strength, peace- but their ideal happy world would be a place where all their friends could find what they needed to be content, and then they could live the lives they deserved, clear-headed. The difference between Olivebranch the character and pocket the writer is that I know that's partially a way to deflect from sorting out their own issues, but they have good intentions!

😻: is your character insecure about their appearance or are they confident?

Sometimes Prairie forgets what they look like. When they were younger? Oh yes absolutely they were a ball of anxiety and insecurity. After he got his gnarly scar he was a bit self-conscious of it for a time, but these days it simply does not cross his mind. If he thought about it for too long (aka more than 10 seconds) he'd. Probably still live in that youthful mindset, though.

🧸: does your character have a specific object that soothes them?

After Sagefeather died, Quail moved a bit of the moss from her old nest into his nest. The scent of her has faded by now, but sometimes he'll wake up from a dead sleep and swear that it's still lingering around.

💥: does your character have any habits that impact them negatively?

Aside from her lingering Anger Problems(tm), Chirp is a bit too forgiving at times, or a bit too eager to forget and allow herself to be walked over. Sometimes she doesn't hold enough of a grudge.
