The Ultimate, Unholy Checkmate: Chapter 2
I need a better title for this lmfao

I incorporated a song's lyrics in this chapter; whomever guesses it gets a cookie!

Upon ending your anguished declaration, a singular sword-bearing knight charged forward with a war cry.
"Wait! Don't-" Jean cried, but then:
BANG!
Went your shotgun as you blasted a shell right in the knight's head, splattering red mist and sending him falling on the stone street (and your ermine buddy also squeaking a little at the sight). A blood puddle formed underneath the limp corpse, which everyone stared at before hearing you cock your shotgun to eject a shell.
"Do you lot like my new weapon? I doubt even the Fatui would be capable of procuring such a contraption. It sends tiny metal pellets straight into your flesh, capable of ending lives instantly. And I don't even need to get too close to use it!"
Everyone stared in horror at the sight of your weapon, stunned in place at the thought of how lethal it was compared to what they utilize and fight against; this further emboldened your words.
"So, will you fight me like you did with the Abyss Order and Celestia months before, or will you lot cower in the face of your god?!"
...It turned out that saying that was a bad idea.
Immediately, that statement also emboldened your enemies, as a group of knights began using something your single shotgun could not handle: a horde. Realizing the imminent danger, you fired a round at a knight's head to kill him before turning around and running.
"Oh shit I did not plan for this..." you muttered as you cocked a shell and headshot another knight sending him to the floor as well. Then you turned two corners before ducking into some random alleyway to reload your shotgun.
You broke the gun open and loaded two out of the six spare shells you currently had in your pocket. Once you did that, a red light emitted from the shell pocket, signifying that Teyvat was generating new shells for you. You taught Teyvat how to do so, albeit slowly considering that a shotgun significantly surpasses most technological limits of Teyvat.
Meanwhile, your ermine buddy was shaking in the frantic moment, so you gently held him after you reloaded your gun.
"Shh... I'm so sorry little buddy... it'll be fine..." you whispered to the little white creature as you pet his head with two fingers. This calmed him down, and he headed back into your pocket. Just in time too, because a knight had found your position.
"There they are!" He yelled, and you blasted him before running in the opposite direction. Exiting the alleyway led you to an open street with vendors for merchants. No civilians were present; they must have hunkered down in their houses.
However, you did spot Kaeya at a short distance from you; he likely took a different route. Unlike his usual cocky expression, his face was cold and steeled up.
"I'm not normally one for harming the one who bled so kindly for us..." he trailed off before he readied his sword and his vision glowed brighter. "...but if you request me to fight you, I shall not disappoint!"
"Yes, that's it!" You malevolently smirked before firing at him. However, although you landed several shots his passive formed him a cryo shield, something you absolutely forgot. Despite his wounds, he somehow managed to get up and strike you; this caught you off-guard and he left a large gash on your arm splattering golden ichor on the streets.
He gasped before regaining her composure... only for him to stare in horror as you messily smeared your blood on your shotgun's barrel and reloaded it.
"Let's see how truly overpowered my blood is!" You maniacally yelled, readjusting your shotgun and stance against the Cavalry Captain and the other knights that had just caught up.
You immediately fired a round, with your pellets leaving a golden trail behind. This broke Kaeya's shield and dealt the damage needed to send him to the ground, barely hanging on. Like with Amber, you spilled the special elixir that prevented Kaeya from dying yet constantly bleeding.
Seeing all the other knights surround you and the cryo wielder, you rapidly fired and reloaded your shotgun at every sword-wielding knight you saw. Once you were out of ammunition, your bloodlust and wrath grew. Hoisting your shotgun over your shoulder, you decided then and there to opt for a more vicious and cruel strategy instead.
Tumblr media
Look up across the smoke-filled room,
You took one of the swords a knight had and cut your palms open, letting your golden blood bleed at a rapid rate.
Felt the tension build
Ignoring the searing pain in your palms, you drowned your hands in the bleeding fluids as well as staining your robes. You stared at Jean and the other vision-wielders who only looked back with expressions traumatized by being reminded of the last few months.
This night has only just begun,
You charged at a knight.
So, here we go
Your senses dulled in that moment.
You gotta,
just feel the energy!
Catching him off-guard, you knocked his sword to the side before delivering an uppercut, sending him flying into the air. This didn't satisfy you though, and once he landed you gripped his neck and snapped it, ending the poor swordsman's life.
You gotta,
just know who the enemy is!
"Holy shit I'm a walking bundle of steroids!" You thought to yourself as you covered your forearms in your blood and decided to take on multiple knights.
Even if their swords cut you, the amount of adrenaline your own blood provided you only further fueled your malicious mind.
We are hungry for
adrenaline!
The vision wielders decided to intervene. Lisa first tried shocking you, but the electro did nothing to stop you as you targeted her and sucker-punched her away. Staring at how you sent her friend flying, Jean used her elemental skill attempting to knock you to the ground; Eula followed suit, using her elemental skill attempting to freeze you.
We're about to go insane
you see!
Both elemental attacks hit you, but the freeze didn't last long and you got back up quickly. Your expression morphed into a vicious scowl and you ran up to Eula before grabbing her neck and throwing her at Jean to knock both to the ground.
Bring out the guns...
We love the danger!
With your palms still bleeding, you grabbed a dead knight's sword and rubbed its blade in your blood. You accidentally cut your palms a little, but your mind blocked out such thoughts at that moment.
"You knights are so fucking WEAK at combat! No wonder why Diluc saw you lot as inefficient! Your grandmaster was a truly a dumbass when he left such a feeble amount of troops to defend this backwater city!"
Holding up your bloodied forearms for all to see, you continued.
"Would you all like some of my blood right now?! It comes with a free serving of A BEATDOWN!"
One, two, three,
just pull the trigger!
Jean got up and stumbled on her words quietly, before somberly speaking. "Your grace...! I know we're in deep this time. We've committed sins graver than any of our ancestors, and in this world's history..."
But then, you saw her steel her expression, and you let her continue.
"...But I simply cannot let you insult and demean the very comrades and nation I have sworn my life to! Knights!"
One bullet left...
Inside the chamber!
Every knight stared at her in awe at how her spirit refused to break even in the face of Their Grace's imposing force.
"We may be called weak, we may be called inefficient, hell maybe some even call us obsolete! But we will not be tramped upon, even if our very own god attempts to do so!"
"Let us give Their Grace a taste of what the Knights of Favonius can do, for WE WILL PROTECT OUR FREEDOM AT ALL COSTS!!!"
Let us-
Play some-
Ru-u-u-ssian Roulette!
The knights, invigorated by her words, cheered.
Roulette!
Mona and Rosaria, witnessing the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius refuse to falter in the face of danger, readied themselves for battle.
Roulette!
Eula prepared her claymore and cryo vision.
Roulette!
Lisa took the moment to hone her catalyst.
Roulette-ette-ette!
Jean stared at you with a look of battle-hardness.
Roulette-ette-ette!
The remaining Knights of Favonius brandished their weapons.
Roulette...ette...ette!
All the while, you took the time to drench the entire front half of your shotgun in shimmering ichor.
*CLICK-CLICK*
BANG!
The Knights charged and you fired a round. Not only were there more pellets, but they caused their targets to scream more as well.
BANG!
Lisa unleashed her elemental burst on you, followed by a knight charging you from behind. You sharply turned and blasted his head to chunks with a round.
BANG!
You reloaded and snapped your head at Lisa, unloading a round into her chest and spilling your bleeding elixir on her.
BANG!
You leaped towards Eula and bashed her head in with your shotgun, dousing her with elixir as well.
BANG!
Rosaria attempted to stab you in the back with her polearm, but you gripped her polearm and shot her at point-blank.
BANG!
Mona ran and tried plunging at you but you took Rosaria's weapon and impaled her through the stomach.
BANG!
You messily doused both her and Rosaria in elixir.
BANG!
Your ermine buddy squeaked at the bloodshed, somehow fearless throughout the entire ordeal.
BANG!
Jean and the rest of the knights tried utilizing their numbers against you again, but in the heat of the moment, your body acted on its own.
Discarding Rosaria's polearm, you fired two rounds at the frontmost knights before hoisting your shotgun. Running over to dead knights, you picked up their unhandled swords one by one and flung them at the knights indiscriminately.
Getting a little curious about your blood, you doused your next two shells with your blood and loaded them into your shotgun. When you fired one, it not only fired more pellets but also pierced the remaining knights.
With only Jean standing and staring at you in utter horror and dread, you took aim.
BANG!
And with that, you hoisted your shotgun over your shoulder and doused the last vision wielder in the fray with your bleeding elixir and sinfully marveled at the carnage you've caused. Blood both red and gold stained the area surrounding you, alongside the bodies of the Knights of Favonius. You likened the sight to a chaotic painting, with Mondstadt as the canvas and you the violent da Vinci who painted the streets in crimson and gleaming hues. Thank god no civilians were harmed- at least you hoped.
You stared at the sky, and uttered orders to Teyvat:
"Nurse everyone who I have harmed back to full health exactly twenty-four hours after I have left the gates of this city, Teyvat. Do make sure they heal properly, with no injuries whatsoever as if they had never fought me in the first place. However, never let them forget this encounter. Understand?"
Although no one responded, your brain processed and felt that Teyvat nodded, and you simply smiled warmly at the continent's metaphorical actions.
"Thank you Teyvat," you said in a soft tone. "You're so nice to me..."
With those words, you began to take your leave from the City of Freedom.
Tumblr media
In the months that followed your departure from your (now-crumbled) temple, you painstakingly decided to construct a log cottage in the middle of nowhere without doing any harm to Teyvat as a whole. Scouring and dragging along dead trees was no easy feat, but thankfully the local animals opted to help you which you appreciated greatly.
By the time you reached your cabin after hours of walking, the sun had nearly set. The time didn't match up with Genshin Impact's in-game "one hour in Teyvat = one minute in Earth" at all, which you thought was good because if it worked like in-game you would practically be capable of staying up for weeks or possibly even months at a time.
You checked up briefly on your mini farm. Seeing as how you sought to be away from civilization, you took up the skills and work to grow your own food. And by discreetly thieving from an unguarded caravan from Sumeru travelling to Liyue, you primarily feed on glaborous beans as your primary source of protein.
Entering your cabin, you were greeted with the sight of your living room containing your workbench, geo tools, a few plants here and there, and a giant sofa and small wooden coffee table as the centerpiece with two mini sofas to the left and right side of said table.
You placed your shotgun on a rack before took your ermine buddy out of his pocket and put him on the coffee table. He scurried around for a while, taking in the sights before jumping on the large sofa.
You then hung your dirtied robes on a coat rack, exposing your [favorite color] T-shirt and [favorite color] pair of pants. The cuts caused by the battle with the Knights of Favonius had healed by now, but you'd still rather not leave them out in the open. Sauntering over to a closet, you took out some bandages and wrapped yourself in them.
You then walked over to a door and opened it to reveal a smaller room containing the closest you could get to a "hot tub" in Teyvat: a large, smooth rock basin of water with room for hot stones underneath. After what occurred today, you needed some time to relax. You decided...
To take a hot wash: "Teyvat, mind slowly heating these stones up for me again?" It's a huge luxury that Teyvat held affinity to answer your every beck and call, and you even felt a little bad for abusing such power even though you were apparently the continent's Divine Creator or something.
Slowly undressing yourself, you moved and lowered yourself into the hot tub, exhaling a deep sigh as you did so. You gently washed yourself in the gradually-heating water, letting the heat melt away your hot-headed thoughts.
To take a cold wash: You felt a little bit more [choose one/multiple: edgy/daring/callous] as you decided to wash-up cold this time, as a little cold dessert to go along with the cold revenge you served yourself up today.
After removing your clothes, you accommodated yourself in the cold waters of the normally hot rock vessel. You initially shivered at first, but your body quickly got used to the chilly waters leaving you an unconventional but pleasant bathing experience.
Tumblr media
After bathing, you dressed yourself up and sat yourself on your couch in the living room...
...Only to hear a knock at the door.
This sent you into panic mode; hurrying over to your shotgun, you rapidly loaded two shells in before unlocking and opening your door and aiming the weapon at your supposed invader.
...Oh, it's Noelle. And she's also mighty terrified of your shotgun's barrels aiming directly at her face. And then your ermine buddy squeaked and you saw him on the floor looking right up at Noelle.
This made you briefly forget the current predicament but thankfully your brain came back to you. "...Oh shit-" you unloaded your weapon and placed the shells back in your pocket before placing the gun back on its rack. "Noelle how did you- nevermind, actually, get in here it's late."
Noelle stepped through the door before closing it, an action which unconsciously made you form a little smile before you walked over to lock it.
"Sit," you told Noelle, and she sat on a mini sofa while you sat on the other one. Facing her, you stared at her with a blank yet concerned expression.
"How did you find me?" You began, first wondering how the girl found you; your cabin shouldn't be marked on any maps.
"Uh, I don't know, [Name]. I just felt a... weird subconscious force telling me to come here..."
"Oh. Teyvat brought you here."
"Teyvat-??" Noelle asked, before it clicked in her head. "...O-Oh nevermind I can see why- with you being the Divine Creator and all-"
And then her expression morphed into one of distress because she remembered that you fled and isolated yourself from civilization because of your bleeding.
"Wait-! Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that-! [Name] I am so sorry if I caused you any trauma-"
You moved to the large sofa and scooted over to Noelle before placing one of your hands on her shoulder.
"...It's fine, Noelle. I'm not mad." You topped off your response with a smile, which thankfully reassured her. But then you remembered something else you wanted to mention to her.
"How long did it take you to travel here though? I intentionally built this place far from any major cities or towns..." You trailed off, before following with: "did you eat before getting here??"
Noelle smiled at your concern. "Oh I'm fine [Name], I've handled worse, I'll be fin-" and then her stomach interrupted her words; she flustered up at the noise.
"...A-Ah- I guess I should have had more than one than one Chicken-Mushroom Skewer before making the journey here..."
Your expression grew stern at her statement.
"One skewer Noelle? Only one skewer?? After probably hours of travel?! I cannot let this stand. You, young lady, are not going to starve under my watch! I am making us dinner right now, and don't you dare try to stop me!"
With that, you hurried out your back door, leaving Noelle stunned at your starkness. You found the empty rock circle with an iron stand above it where you would place firewood to start a fire for cooking and adjusted the rocks a little to prevent fire from escaping their grasp.
Taking some relatively large sticks from a pile, you placed them in the outcrop before taking a piece of flint and a fire striker to light it ablaze.
Now with a fire ready, you entered your cabin and located a large pot. Opening a few cabinets, you also took some ground-up glaborous beans, mint, and some salt and pepper. As you exited it, you also picked up a large wooden spoon.
Noelle witnessed as you walked over to a nearby river and scooped some water in your pot before heading back to your campfire and placing the pot over the stand.
Meanwhile, you gestured for her to sit by the fire with you on a log carved to allow for seating. The next few minutes encompassed silence, but not a deafening or tense one; rather, the silence embodied a sense of reprisal.
Once you decided that the river water was purified enough of bacteria from boiling, in went the ingredients; first the beans, then the mint, and finally the salt and pepper.
All that was necessary now was to stir the soup, a process which you undertook slowly while smelling the aroma of mint in the air.
"[Name] what recipe is this? It looks so simple yet I feel as if it's going to be so good..."
You looked up at Noelle with a warm smile. "It's just called Minty Bean Soup. It's from Sumeru, and normally it would have a little bit of cream in it but alas I don't have any."
"Oh it's fine! I think it'll still be good without it." Noelle smiled, her smile matching, if not outright outshining yours.
Not long after, the soup was ready. Heading back inside the cabin, you located and set two bowls and spoons on the coffee table before pouring some of the minty bean soup into both of them. Noelle stared at the soup, her eyes containing metaphorical sparkles.
"Go on," you spoke. "Have some. There's plenty still left," you chuckled before taking your spoon and sipping some of the hot meal. Your ermine buddy decided to climb up your shoulder too, earning a chuckle from Noelle.
"He likes you a lot, huh?" The maid and knight-in-training said, before taking a sip of the soup. Her response gave her thoughts away: "This is so good! And it's so simple, too!"
You formed a big dumb smile at her words. After months of painful bleeding and suffocating worshipping and gifts from faithful yet power-hungry allogenes, she was the single rose that reminded you that you were not just merely a resource.
All of the food went down quickly- Noelle insisted on not eating so much after she filled her stomach, which was fine by you- more food for yourself.
But throughout the quaint dinner, your thoughts lingered on what happens after. The sun already set by now- and although the night isn't as dangerous in Teyvat compared to Earth's society, there would still be dangers, nonetheless.
"...What do you intend to do now, Noelle?" You asked with a slightly concerned tone. "It's nighttime. Do you want to perhaps stay the night perhaps?"
Noelles's face reddened up again, but she kept her composure and nodded. "I-If you're offering, then I would love to."
"Alright, good. Do you want to perhaps take some things on the road back to Mondstadt?"
Noelle piqued up for a moment, but then she stopped. Judging by the look on her face, you knew she held conflicting thoughts.
"...Actually, if you don't mind, I would like to stay with you, [Name]."
This answer caught you off-guard. "What? Why so, Noelle?"
Her expression hardened. And not even in a comical or hilarious sense; whatever she was about to say, she was dead serious. She looked down, her breath stifling.
"In the past few months with you, I have seen vision wielders from all nations take your strength-inducing ichor for granted. Every time I watched you cut yourself, every time I heard you wince at every new scar, it hurt me."
She continued, her words now laced with a slightly bitter tone. "And to think that they would use such strength not for helping one another, but for actively fueling conquests at the expense of your health! They have stooped to the level of the very same beings they deem as monsters!"
"And worst of all..." Noelle's tone saddned. "Those of us who considered you more than a resource, could do nothing but offer you small comforts. Me personally, I witnessed as the nation I grew to love and serve hungrily take from you while repaying with kill trophies and gaudy jewelry."
And then, she looked at you.
"In those moments, I have also taken the time to look back upon myself. I wanted to help others, so I took every little favor people asked for me to handle and tried so hard to join the Knights of Favonius. But now, I've learned to see things differently."
She placed both her hands on your shoulders.
"I am not that same girl from months ago, [Name]. I've stopped helping with anything people ask of me. I've stopped trying to join the Knights of Favonius. Not when they broke my friend after months of torturous bleeding."
She finally calmed down and took a deep breath.
"And with my trip down to your new home, [Name], I wish not for a position in the Knights of Favonius, not to live up to the expectations of others, but to simply care for a friend in need."
She ended her tangent with a quaint little smile, leaving you internally stunned and moved.
"Of course, you can always say no-"
"Yeah you can stay Noelle." You needed no hesitation for those words.
...Oh dear, now you've really broken her. Her face is even more scarlet than the most vibrant of roses!
Tumblr media
As you and Noelle sat on the large couch in the living room, you decided that you would bring something on your next target: Liyue.
You didn't intend to carry much; just something small for now. Something that perfectly fit the bill was a ritual dagger you used to carve scars into your bleeding form to spill ichor onto your acolytes. While fleeing your temple, you carried one as a personal defense weapon.
You walked over to the drawer containing it alongside other various miscellaneous personal items and took it out.
Flecks of gold still marred its tip- a clear reminder of what your allogenes demanded of you. Noelle walked over to you and noticed the blade as well, her expression frowning a little.
"Did you take that from your temple, [Name]?"
"I took it while I was fleeing. I was far too weak to wield anything else so I took one of these in the case I needed to defend myself. It also acted as a good utility tool, too."
At that moment, your ermine buddy squeaked for your attention and you turned around to find him on your coffee table with three shotgun shells: one in his mouth and two more that he keeps sandwiched with the bottom of his jaw and his arms.
"Whoa buddy put those down-!" You said, hurrying over to him and trying to take back the cylinders of gunpowder, but he instead hurried over to your robe's pocket and threw out six more shotgun shells which landed on the floor much to your horror.
His next actions both stunned and intrigued you though: he took the shotgun shells on the floor and decided to place them all on the coffee table, before then standing behind them the three extra shells in his arms and mouth.
He then moved his head back, almost as if to signify a recoil action before spitting out the shell in his mouth and replacing it with a shell that was in his hand.
"...Are you- are you trying to carry the shells??" You asked, and he nodded rapidly as if to say 'yes.'
If this was the case, you were both simultaneously feeling very scared and very cheeky.
Noelle simply said nothing about the events that transpired, until she yawned.
"...Perhaps it's time for bed, Noelle?"
She simply nodded in response and you smiled. You took your shotgun shells and put them back in your coat pocket, and picking up your ermine buddy and placing him on your shoulder.
You began walking over to your bedroom until you remembered something:
"...Oh shit I only have one bed."
Tumblr media
"[Name] a-are you sure you-you're okay with this??" Noelle asked as she climbed into the large bed you had in your bedroom. Her armor was placed neatly to the side as it would likely be uncomfy while sleeping.
"If you want Noelle I can always sleep on the floor-"
"Okay nevermind!" the maid responded as she got comfy in the bed with you following suit not long after.
Since there was only one blanket, you only covered yourself in a small part of it while you saved the rest of it for Noelle.
"...Hey, [Name]?" She asked. "Yes?" You responded, feeling a little tired after everything today.
"Do you want to perhaps... want to cuddle?"
Now it's your turn to be flustered as you lost your composure in the bed. "Wha- eh- Noelle w-where did you get idea??"
"D-Don't get it the wrong way-! I thought that after the months of bleeding you would have nightmares or something..."
"...Oh my god Noelle you're so precious." You muttered in response, before asking: "But are you sure about this?"
"I mean... I wouldn't mind it." She said, before closing the distance between you two and wrapping you in her embrace. "Don't worry about me, [Name]. Remember, I'm not the same girl from months ago. I can handle worse."
...Unfortunately you were self-combusting.
'Oh my god what the fuck do I do in this situation she literally just hugged me this situation is so unreal-'
(A/N: Indeed it is [Name] lmfao)
Noelle chuckled at your lack of a response, chalking it up to your weariness at the day's end. "Just sleep tight, okay? I'll be right here with you when you wake up tomorrow."
And then she closed her eyes, trying to get some sleep. You did the same as well, attempting to rest up for tomorrow.
Safe to say, you would be having a peaceful rest.
Tumblr media
A/N: This is the first time we are doing this, so I'll explain how this works.
In Shotgun King, every time you complete a floor, you get to pick a set of two cards. One card benefits you, while the other benefits the enemy.
In this case, you've just defeated Mondstadt, so you get to pick a set of cards. I'll set up a poll for these every time they come around.
You can only pick one set of cards though, so choose wisely!
Taglist: @the-moon-awaits-her-executioner, @bunniotomia, @bl1pbl0p, (comment if you want to be tagged!)
A/N: And it is done! Holy crap I cannot contain the excitement I had for writing this chapter. This is also the first time I've properly tried to make a fight scene and a soft scene, so I wanted to contrast [Name]'s brutality against the Knights of Favonius with how they behave when at their log cabin in the middle of nowhere.
A/N 2: Did you all like the chapter? Leave a comment!

Picking Suitors
Anonymous Asked: Could I request more of the sagau au where creator picks suitors ranging from archons to fatui Harbingers and this time could you pleasw include Lisa, Yae Miko, La Signora and Candace (+ anyone else you wanna do). Thank you, I loved reading it very much!
Characters included: Lisa, Yae Miko, La Signora, Candace,
Note: Gotta give the ladies some luv! Sorry for the wait Anon but here it is 🙏
Here’s the original part in case you missed it: Here
Tumblr media
Mondstadt’s resident librarian Lisa cares for you so much. When she went to Sumeru’s Akademiya to expand her knowledge, it was to learn more about you. When she returned to Mondstadt to be a mere librarian when everyone knew she was capable of much more, it was for you. Her intelligence is unparalleled and she will always use it for the advancement of Mondstadt so once you arrive, everything will be perfect for you.
To many, it seems that she doesn’t take her job as a librarian seriously, always napping and looking bored when she is doing her job. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Lisa takes collecting overdue books very seriously, especially when the books are about her dear Creator, you. Most books about you are in the restricted section of the library but Lisa cannot get enough of them, she wants to know everything about you to gain your favor.
Gaining your favor is exactly what she did. Once you express to her that you hold affections for her, it felt as if everything she did is finally paying off. She will tease you for your confession, but don’t worry, she definitely feels the same. Her favorite thing to do is to enjoy her afternoon tea time with you, she already considered this part of her day extremely important (besides her naps of course) but when you’re there with her, she looks forward to it everyday. Sometimes she might even offer to take you to Good Hunter and have vegetable soup with it.
Despite Lisa’s carefree nature, she hates it when others interrupt her time with you. The two of you are constantly busy with many things, her with the Library and you with… well basically everything in Teyvat. When the two of you spend time together she’d rather stay somewhere private so no one would bother you. However that doesn’t stop people from trying to get your attention if the witch and onto them, she won’t do anything while you’re around besides pulling you away from the individual. However once you’re gone, they will learn in an electrifying way why they shouldn’t interrupt her time with you ever again.

The Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine and the Ei’s best friend, Yae Miko has been surrounded by everything related to you her entire life. She knows how much Ei loves and cares for you, and even though she doesn’t show it in the same way, she does too. She hides her devotion to you under the enigmatic aura around her, but it’s clear how strong her devotion is when people visit the shrine or the publishing house.
When it comes to the publishing house, Yae is known to be very kind and a bookworm, with her favorite books being about you. But when others write light novels about you her way of editing becomes much more strict. She will not let anything be published that sullies your name or anything that contradicts what she already knows about you. Inazuma had a reputation for having the best novels about you thanks to the Guuji.
As a kitsune and youkai, Yae is very mischievous, she uses her impressive skills of manipulation and reading people to gain favor with you. If you’re feeling down, she’d be the first by your side offering you a walk under the moonlight or the two of you can get something to eat together. (You get everything you want for free and that’s a plus for her) If you enjoy reading, Yae would love to read with you, or if you like to write she’ll be honored if you let her beta read it for you. Not only would this give her alone time with you, but the two of you would share a special connection that she totally didn’t plan. ;)
One of Yae’s favorite thing is to see others squirm due to her teasing, and that definitely includes you. She loves seeing you flustered and shy due to her words or touches. But you can make her flustered as well, you’re her God! Having your undivided attention makes her chest bloom with warmth and anytime you ask to let her she feel her face grow warm.
Anytime you leave Inazuma to visit the other nations that’s when Yae truly wished Ei’s version of Eternity was true. Everything staying the same forever doesn’t sound bad to the kitsune at all, especially with you by her side.

Oh Signora… she has done many evil deeds for the Fatui but before all that, she was just a simple maiden named Rosalyne. She loved singing, with her main muse being you, she always wished that one day she would be able to meet you and sing to you.
Yet after the cataclysm she was consumed by hatred, not being able to control the flames that took over her body until she was found by the Fatui and given a Cryo delusion. That was the day she discarded her life in Mondstadt as a maiden and became The Fair Lady, but one thing she didn’t discard was you.
Signora wanted to hate you and blame you for the Cataclysm but she couldn’t. She had lost everything she ever cared about and the only thing she had now was you and the hope that maybe one day she can bask in your divine grace.
When she first met you, Signora presented herself as no more than a Snezhnayan diplomat, acting extremely professional as she escorts you to the Zapolyarny Palace. During the boat ride to Snezhnaya, the only thing that fills her mind were all the songs she had wrote for you all those centuries ago. She was sure the she had forgotten those.
Having your favor means everything to the Harbinger, not only will it help her get her duties done more quickly since no one would dare go against the one the Creator desires but it also brings her a sense of comfort that she hadn’t felt since her days as a maiden.
Signora will do anything to keep your eyes on her, even if that means killing others or having her subordinates blackmail or threaten the one trying to steal your attention away. Surely after you given her a taste of your love you wouldn’t just take it away from her, right?
During her final confrontation with the Traveler and the Shogun, all she could do is pray for you to save her life before her fate is sealed by the electro puppet. If you save her, her love and affection for you grows stronger. She had realized just how fast her life could be taken away, and Signora doesn’t want to leave you, not yet. She would even leave the Fatui just to stay by your side. Late in the night, when the two of you are laying under the moonlight together, she’ll sing you one of her songs. Knowing that her one and only God loves her just as much as she loves them.
-
The descendant of King Deshret, Candace will do anything to protect the Aaru Village. She is the guardian after all.
Candace is a warm and kindhearted person, despite the protests from others in the village, she will welcome outsiders with open arms. As long as they follow the rules of course! So when new of your arrival spread throughout Teyvat, and it was rumored you were visiting the village in the desert, many wanted the guardian to refuse you entry.
They all wanted to believe you were the reason they the rest of Sumeru wanted all of King Deshrets descendants to slowly die off until none of them existed any longer. The sages already sent scholars who were “out of their mind” to the village and you’ve turned a blind eye.
But Candace didn’t believe that.
“They are the Creator of Teyvat. Kind and merciful to all. They created King Deshret, so surely they hold us in their heart as well?”
And she couldn’t have been more right.
Once you had made it to the village, Candace made it her personal responsibility to cater to your needs and make you feel welcome. Even though many had their reservations about you being there, they eventually came around too. You were just as kind and sweet as they’ve been told.
Having you around meant more to Candace then she ever thought it would, she recalls how her friend Dehya told her to find happiness outside of work and she said the village in peace would be more than enough to make her happy. Now, she could think of other things that would make her happy.
And all of those things begin with you.
Showing you around the village, gifting you clothes and jewelry, just simply having you near her means more than she can express.
Candace doesn’t care what others think of her, when she wins your favor many outsiders come to visit the village just to see what is so special about her that the creator themselves wants to give her their affections. Even though the reasons they are there is less than desirable, Candace still treats them all kind and welcomes them with open arms reminding them to follow the rules of the desert.
Anytime you leave the Aaru Village, Candace would use her mora to buy trinkets from merchants who visit the desert. Most of these trinkets would be stored away in her wardrobe for a rare occasion that she decides to put her duties to the side and dress up while she relaxes in the shade. But some of the trinkets she buys she has you in mind. Thinking that this certain piece of jewelry would look wonderful on you.

Ooh, interesting! Lemme see what I can do about this idea. Please remember to send requests via mailbox!
Headcanons: Jean, Lisa, Ninguang, and Ganyu Reacting to Reader Being a Veteran Military Soldier
You were calmly sipping tea and having snacks, relaxing with the character at your palace, talking about random conversations that come and go over the time.
This brought the conversation where you mention your experiences of being apart of the Military for a while before retiring due to the many scars you had over several many combat incidents.
This is how they'll react.
(Disclaimers: Mentions of Scars, Implied Violence/Battles, Might Be OOC!)
Jean
To hear that the Almighty Creator has been through so many battle experience and gaining so many scars, she wished she could've been there to assist you.
She is very much curious as what you've been through, but she doesn't push—she simply wants to make sure you are okay before diving into that topic.
"Your Grace, are you alright? Are your scars hurting you in any way?" She wants to make sure you aren't in any pain of sorts, and will fuss over you and get Barbara to check on you before you somehow find a way to reject this help.
Consider it her way of paying you back for letting her enjoy a cup of tea with you and a good conversation to know you better.
Lisa
Lisa, my oh my...This librarian will be ever so curious on your past battle experiences during this tea session, now that you mentioned it. Of course—she won't push you to explain. She doesn't want to make you upset, nor be struck down for giving the Almighty Creator trauma flashbacks of any sorts.
"Your Grace, if you allow me to indulge myself, may I ask of what kind of battle experiences you've been through? Feel free, of course, to continue to a different topic if I ever seem to be pushing any boundaries." Lisa is a good listener, she'll hear you out, word for word.
And, of course, she sticks to her word. If her questions ever seem to be too much, switch the subject and Lisa will hop onto the new one! After all, your tea is ever so lovely~
Ningguang
First of all, the fact that the Creator is inviting her to have tea and enjoy conversation with them in the first place? She already feels spoiled.
This is probably even better than becoming Tianquan or building her Jade Chamber/Palace.
Ningguang is rather surprised to hear that you've been to battle before. She'll be even more surprised once she digests the information that you've been to several battles. And gained battle scars through those experiences.
Of course, her face doesn't show any of this, but she's pretty impressed and awed. She's trying to imagine it: The Almighty Creator, fighting the front lines, destroying the enemies that dare to face them, etc.
"Your Grace, if I be bold to ask, but what kind of battles have you been in?" As she listens to you talk about some of your battle experience, Ningguang can now understand why people gawk at her and the Jade Chamber as/once they listen to the stories regarding it. Your stories, were very captivating and fed all sorts of scenarios in her imagination.
If you grant her the permission, Ningguang will personally start having storytellers tell the tales of the fierce and Almighty Creator facing threats in battle, for all of Liyue to gain a even deeper respect for you.
Ganyu
To be even in the presence of the Almighty Creator, she already feels super blessed. To hear that the creator has been through battles? Ganyu couldn't help but worry.
She knew that some scars, whether mental or physical, could case pain. So, naturally, she has to ask whether if you're okay or not.
"Uhm, Your Grace, forgive my intrusion, but are your scars harming you in any way?" As a veteran of the Archon War, she knows a thing or two about how people hide their scars, playing off their pain as if it were just an annoying pest. Ganyu wants to make sure you're okay and at top, peak condition!
Teyvat has already lost its Almighty Creator once, and she refuses to see you in pain after your re-descension!
Be prepared to take this task very seriously, because boy, if you are facing anything she finds unhealthy, you are being coaxed and voluntold into therapy.
And that's it! I hope you all liked these headcanons :) See you around next time!

YOUR EYES COULDN'T BELIEVE IT - delicate and soft footsteps walked in the cobble flooring of the prestige city; (e/c) eyes glimmer around the stalls and towering buildings. Mondstadt definitely lives up to its titled name as the land of freedom, for every step you take, every second that passes by is surely not a quiet one infact.
One of your destined dreams turning into real life felt like bliss - you couldn't help but feel ecstatic on what the future lies ahead for you in the unordinary situation you find yourself in.
Yet.. Even for such a joyful moment, why do you feel entrapped and suffocated? You could feel eyes digging deep onto your back as it only doubled to your discomfort. You weren't supposed to feel like this, you're living your dream yet what is with this abnormal reaction? Paranoid with yourself, you quickly fled to a nearby alleyway to arrange your thoughts.
In there, you took control of your breathing, the surroundings around you begun to turn disoriented. You shook your head in disagreement "No...I must just be having a headache from the crowds" you mumbled to yourself, rubbing the sides of your head - you then continued your way in the city of Mondstadt after having calmed your thoughts and body down.
╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗
Later on, you found yourself sitting down on one of the chairs in a food hub called "Good Hunter". You were well aware of what this place is - infact, you felt like you've done this thousands of times even if you just played through a screen.
You didn't quite expect that feeling of yours earlier, expectations didn't reach what you had thought would lead to. You were supposed to be happily strolling around mondstadt - so why are you just sitting here rearranging your thoughts again? "Agh...I'll just sit here for a bit, yeah that's alright.." Mumbling those words to yourself, you took a deep breath to calm your body down.
Eventually after about 10 minutes of sitting, you heard a small grumble from your stomach. 'Ah right, Im starving..' you suppress to yourself; sure you ate some (alot) sunsettia's earlier but that didn't seem to satisfy your stomach. Fortunately for you, the place you were resting at was a food hub!. Standing up from your seat, you made your way up to the counter to order some cuisine for that grumbling tummy of yours.
"Welcome To Good Hunter. Can I take your order?" A brunette lady with a neatly tied up ponytail on the other side of the counter question's. Her eye's lingered on the out line's of your body, taking in every detail and curve. "Uh....can I have uh.." Your voice trailed off, thinking of something to order from the menu. Until, you remembered one thing you'd always cook for your character's in game. "May I have one Sweet Madame please?" You asked, giving her a small smile.
The woman was dazed for a moment after you gave her a smile, seemingly gawking into your (e/c) pupils. It took a while till you cleared your throat "Ahem.. Is everything alright?" You questioned her, still keeping your smile but had a hint of concern.
"Oh! Uhm yes, one Sweet Madame. Please sit while I prepare your food" She hastily replied, quickly turning around she returned back to the counter furthermore fumbling around with some seasonings and kitchen knives.
You sat back down on your chair briefly leaning back on it whilst patiently awaiting for your food to arrive, your mouth just watered at the thought of eating it. And boy are you excited! Tasting many wonderful foods from your favorite games is just wonderful! A dream you wish to never leave this place...Until a realization hitted you like a truck.
You have no money here. Absolutely 0
A previous dream turned into a Nightmare; patting your pockets repeatedly you began to panic internally, you can't just take the food and dip! Well you actually can, but you definitely can't handle the consequences of it! No way you're going to already have a horrible situation just after you stepped inside the city.
So how the hell are you gonna pay without any mora!? The gods or whoever brought you here CLEARLY didn't gift you with any starter materials. You cursed In your head, thinking of ways to legally get out of the situation you were in. "Shit what do I do?! I can't just go 'oh I don't have any money because I'm from a different world and got transferred here. Heck no!" Your eyes scanned the surrounding area, looking for an idea or way to not make the situation any more complicated.
╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗
A Honey-roasted fowl sat on your wooden table. The honey and sweet flowers come together to compliment the tender fowl meat. It's aroma as delicate and delicious as it looks. As of in the game it can restore 22% of Max HP and an additional 1,200 HP to the selected character.
A brunette maid stood by your side, a bill on her hands. Her expression looked rather concerned about you "Uhm.. Are you alright?" She asked examining your face. All that showed on you was defeat, like you've just got jumped by the opps.
"Well.. Aha.. So it might seem crazy what i'm gonna say.." You nervously chuckled, not making eye contact with the brunette and only facing the ground. Your eyes failed to notice another brunette woman walking to your table, her appearance seems similar to somebody you've previously met just moments ago..
"Heya! Mind if I sit down with you?" She politely asked, soon noticing the maid next to you she smiled slowly "I got it cover boss, I'll have one Sweet Madame too please." the brunette then took some mora from her pocket and gave it to the server, pleased by the girls payment she returned back to her stall to make another sweet madame.
Silence crept around both of you; you of course knew who she was but was to afraid to strike up a conversation. "Oh damn... What should I do?.." you pondered, avoiding any necessary eye contact with the brunnete. For her, she seemed to be doing the exact opposite of you. Her hazel pupils gazed upon parts of your physique; She seemed to be admiring your frame which made it furthermore awkward.
Clearing your throat, the brunette immediately got back into reality and looked back at you with her eyes. You gave her a small smile "Uhm well, Thank you for paying for me miss.." "AMBER." She replied back, a bit delighted to tell you her name "It's really nothing. You seem to be passing by?" she question's, you answer by giving her a nod.
"Why yes, Mondstat is one of my dream places to visit" You weren't technically lying to her, outside the screen. You did want to try and live in mondstat, just imagining it felt like paradise for you.
Amber seemed ecstatic when you mentioned how mondstadt is your dream places to visit "Why don't I give you a tour later then (Name)?" She offered to you, you were mentally so happy she offered it to you. So without hesitating you answered in a heart beat "Of course!"
Wait. Did you ever give her your name? You probably did. You just forgot
╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗
The world happiness couldn't even describe what you were feeling right now, by your side was THE Outrider Amber of genshin impact showing you around the city. The buildings were alot taller than you had thought, but the best part was being able to see the statue of Barbatos! You felt like you were going to pass out on how unreal it felt!
But alas the tour was coming to an end. Fortunately, Amber had suggested for you to go visit the KNIGHTS OF FAVONIUS; An order responsible for protecting Mondstadt and its belief of freedom. You were of course, very cheerful by her offer! So here were the two of you. Standing in the doors of the KNIGHTS OF FAVONIUS.
"Woah.. Is it really okay for a normal person like me inside here?" you questioned her, eyes gazing at the gigantic bronze door infront of you. Amber opened her mouth to giggle "Why of course! Everyone is welcome here. Come, I'll show you inside! " Quickly opening the two doors, the inside of the building was even finer than what you've had imagined.
Polished tiles surrounded the flooring, complimenting the small plants placed upon the sides of the doors for a more appealing and modern look. Trained knights standing firm and straight with a neutral expression on their face. Still, you could vaguely see them attempting to try and catch a glimpse of you, occasionally turning their eyes to take a better view of your appearance. You did not mind one bit, since you've understood that they just might be analyzing you if you are a possible threat.
"Come! I'll show you inside one of the rooms!" Amber ushered, taking your wrist gently with one of her hands and leading you to a door. Thrusting the doors open, the surrounding room were packed with layers and layers of books, seemingly to be endless opportunities of knowledge and experience.
As you began to look over the room, your (e/c) eyes laid upon a fairly tall woman with lime green eyes and long light brown tied in a side ponytail by a hair tie with a blue rose. Her outfit is largely many shades of purple. Just by the sight of her you could tell who she was already; LISA is a librarian who works in this library, and one of the few characters you achieve for free for unlocking more experience and leveling up in the game.
Her forest green eyes gazed around the room and stopped when she had spotted you, her expression seemed to be of slight suprise but nonetheless, she composed herself and began walking up to the two with her signature smile
"Why hello there cuties, what brings you here?" She question's, stopping in her tracks following with crossing her arms around her lower chest
Amber smiled gleefully, still taking a hold of your wrist with her hand and replying to Lisa "They're a passing traveler who wanted to adventure into the city! I offered to give them a tour and they gladly accepted!" Her answer holds alot of excitement and happiness.. So much so that she's gripping onto your wrist very tightly.
You soon grew uncomfortable by her grip on your wrist, but didn't want to ruin the two women's mood and vibe, so you kept it to yourself for now. It must be because she's exceedingly happy right?
Lisa lightly laughed at the brunettes excitement "Now, now.." She took hold of Amber's hand that was holding onto your wrist and pulled it apart, her eyes not breaking eye contact with Amber "Why don't you calm yourself down, Amber?" She says giving a closed eyed smile. Amber immediately realized her actions and turned to you "...Sorry, haha. I guess i let my emotions get the better of me, I promise you I won't let it happen again" Her previous dissapointed expression shifted to one that looked more relaxed.
"Oh! Right, you must not know her right?" Amber pointed her thumb to Lisa who was standing infront of the two, her smile still plastered on her face, she cleared out her throat "Don't worry, I'll introduce myself to this cutie..my name is Lisa Minci, the librarian of the knights of favonius, I hope we get along very well." her smile was off putting at first but you brushed it off.
"Nice to meet you Ms. Lisa! My name is (Name), I'll be very happy with my time in mondstat" You extended your hand to give Lisa a handshake, to your suprise Lisa without hesitating also took your hand for a handshake. Her eyes focused on the base of your hand whilst Amber stared at you two.
You laughed awkwardly. you and Lisa shaked hands a few times before parting ways for now, you felt an ominous aura behind you once you turned your back to leave the library. You for sure wasn't going back in there for a bit.
As the two of you walked in the halls of the Knights of favonius guild, Amber stopped infront of a door. "How about we go ahead and meet the grandmaster, Jean?" She said still having a gleeful energy. You nodded, seeing no harm in meeting her. The plot won't magically change right? In here your just an NPC and the main side characters always interact with NPC's and go on with their day. Nothing can go wrong, right?.
Amber opened the doors, a small creeking sound as it slowly began to open up. Inside the room where stacked with shelves of books, in there, the back center of the room had a women in blonde dressed formal sitting down on a chair with a fairly sized table. The table had stacks and stacks of papers seemingly to be endless.
Only when amber cleared her throat did the blonde notice the two people standing near the door, she quickly composed herself and looked directly at amber, you've noticed how the blonde has not even noticed you in the room yet (you're standing right besides amber wtf).
"Good morning to you, Amber. What brings you here?" The blonde woman asked, sitting upright on her chair while awaiting the brunettes answer "Good to see you, Acting Grandmaster JEAN!" Amber replied casually, "Meet (Name)!, they' were just passing by. We sure do get loads of visitors after the Traveler(AETHER) had left to go to Liyue huh?" The brunette smiled brightly, her hand infront of you faced flat.
Jean, if not for amber she would have never even noticed your presence in the room. You on the other hand had something else in mind, 'I wonder which traveler is the one they're talking about... I'm fine with either one of the twins'
You collectively thought to yourself, a smile on your face as you could barely wait! Just meeting the MC makes your stomach get butterflies. Jean seemed to be staring at you for quite a bit, but you had not noticed once since you were daydreaming in your head.
Jean cleared her throat which made you immediately snap back to reality, raising your head slightly you made eye contact with her ocean blue pupils, she didn't look like she was going to take her eyes off you anytime soon...
".. (Name), was it?" Jean asked, leaning on her desk. Without hesitating you nodded your head "Yes, that's me.. Is there anything you want to ask?" You asked her in an awkward tone, the vibe in the room had shifted significantly. You didn't like it one bit.
She locked her eyes onto yours and smiled "No... But let me ask you one thing" The blonde stood up from her seat and slowly walked in front of her table "Where did you come from exactly?" She asked, crossing her arms on her chest. Amber also was curious to know, her hazel eyes looking at you with curiosity.. But to you, it felt like two predators were piercing their eyes onto your every limb, you felt awkward, confused, and most off all. ANXIOUS
Just one word, one word that's even remotely suspicious and it's game over for you. But why did you feel panicked and anxious? The Traveler was also a other worlder, the characters stared at him/her with adoration and kindness. Why is it the opposite for you?
A feeling wrecked your inner self, INSTINCT. Instinct told you the moment you accidentally reveal your situation is the moment your doom will begin to tower over your shadow, devouring you whole for the mistake you had made. And only then, will you escape from the pain you've brought upon yourself.
"I.. I came from.." You were lost for words, you could just tell them you lived in liyue, sumeru, Fontaine or any other region in Teyvat. So why do they stare at you with such hostile and loathing looks? You gulped down your saliva and clutched your other wrist with your hand "I traveled here from liyue.. I like to visit other regions and find more of their culture and traditions"
Your voice sounded awkward, but it was the only words you could spew out in the moment. You could still feel their gaze observing your every move and twitch, they never took their eyes off you for a long while.
As silence filled the room, Jean and Amber looked at each other for a couples of seconds and nodded, Jeans gaze on you began to soften up "I see, well then. I welcome you to mondstadt, we will be more than happy to have you here" Jean casually said having her hand on her hip as amber gleefully clapped her hands.
"Welcome To mondstadt! I'll be sure to show you only the best." Amber talked to you with such excitement and happiness. You couldn't process what was happening, since the mood had shifted to normal again. You were only relieved to have your body and mind at peace again....
! ! !
INSTINCT is an inborn impulse or motivation to action typically performed in response to specific external stimulus, ADRENALINE is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands, especially in conditions of stress, increasing rates of blood circulation, breathing, and carbohydrate metabolism and preparing muscles for exertion.
Two things a human body does when faced with a threat around their surroundings, the human body will begin to feel such things. You felt your body beginning to rush as your heart beat began to slowly get faster, something was definitely behind you.
You turned your head quickly, but only saw a pair of black gloves reaching out to grab your face, and before you know it, you were out on the floor. Your vision began to darken at a fast pace, as all you could only do is lay motionless on the cherry colored carpet.
Two silhouettes towered over you whilst you were on the ground, holding your arms and legs, they began to drag your body on the hard ground.
☆☆☆
(e/c) eyes slowly began fluttering open, your pupils beginning to open once again. "Ugh... Where am I.." you groaned. Your head was throbbing like crazy, giving you migraines that just added more into the pain. Your hand trailed up to the sides of your head and began to slowly massage it to ease up the aching.
After some seconds, you had fully composed your body. The room you were in was more darker and you could barely even tell what was in your surrounding areas, only feeling the cold flooring from below you.
You attempt to try and recall what had happened but it only furthered increase the aching. You could only sigh to yourself and lean your body back on the wall, in the room you were stuck in 'So this is how I'll be spending my time. Stuck in a dark and cold room, great. ' you thought to yourself, hugging your knees closer to your chest and body to be able to create warmth.
"Just my luck.. When things were just going great another misfortune happened" talking to yourself was the only thing keeping you entertained for now, as you begin to spiral deeper into your thoughts you started to wonder, Why did I get transported here?
In your life at earth you didn't make any shocking changes to the world like making cures or any of that. You were just some person who liked to play games...
Wait
Surely enough the gods or whoever transmitted you here would be benevolent enough to gift you some kind of system or powers right? If this was not just a coincidence you might as well treat your situation like a manwha.
Clearing your throat you quietly mumbled 'System'.....And to no suprise nothing worked. "Uhh... Abrakadabra? Arise? Info?" you tried words that could possibly trigger that non existing system that you are hanging on for dear life. Maybe because of the silence around you that makes you start to go delusional and crazy.
Countless tries yet none were working (Obviously) "Man.. I knew I should've eaten more food, I'm starting to go crazy at this point.. Seriously miss the noise around. It just seems like something had turned off the sound in settings"
You groggily lowered your head down accompanying with silent murmurs coming from your mouth. Unbeknownst to you, a glowing blue screen began appearing infront of you, as you began to lift your head your (e/c) eyes began to shrink from shock as a text was plastered right in front of you.
CHOOSE AN ELEMENT! : PYRO, CRYO, DENDRO, ELECTRO, HYDRO, GEO, ANEMO

Women's Day, SAGAU
This is a short unedited drabble i am sorry for the spelling and gramatical mistakes that will occur. As of for now there is no TW.
There were new rumors bustling about. It travelled from the merchants going through the borders of the nations, to the workers, and to even the office-bound scholars. It was quite an odd phenomenon that one rumor could hold the attention of so many and such a diverse group of people, but it was to be expected when the subject was related to none other than their grace, their beloved creator. Indeed, the scholars of the akademiya were scouring or writing down notes of this new holiday you had deemed important, trying to see if it was passed down somewhere.
Women's day.
Such a simple yet odd holiday, their grace had decided to celebrate. Some scholars wondered what was so special about this date and in this day, was it the stars aligning just right or some other phenomenon? The fact that only women were celebrated was easy enough to rule out, why, who else would be closest to you, their creator, other than women who can create life?
The clergy meanwhile set their own preparation, wondering if their prayers and offerings were enough for this auspicious day.
Meanwhile, a few acolytes had a surprise waiting in store for them.
Meanwhile in Snezhnaya.
Childe pouted from his seat, glaring at his fellow harbringer in disdain. Said harbringer gave him no mind, sipping her tea in peace, her poise relaxed and elegant. Indeed, the woman had no care, why would she care about him when their grace granted her such a wonderful gift, Childe sulkily thought while seeing the letter that appeared out of thin air in their meeting. It was quite a shock, but before any panic could set, Arlecchino had already opened the letter and to everyone's surprise chuckled.
When she was asked about the contents of the letter, she gave one simple answer.
Their grace.
It was all it took for the mood in the room to shift from one tense to clear envy and jealousy. When Arlecchino was asked what the letter contained, she replied with a smile and a simple one sentence.
"their grace wished me well."
Childe continued to sulk and changed his gaze to another occupant in the room that also received a gift. The girl was one of Arlecchino's and she did a very good job remaining stoic in the presence of so many high-ranking harbingers. He could see why their grace had chosen her an acolyte. The girl, Lynette, other than the excited swaying of her tail and tightly holding her letter, showed no emotions on her face, while her twin stood over her shoulders reading it as well.
If it was Childe he would be grinning from ear to ear, hmpf.
Maybe if he were a woman, would he become an acolyte as well? Now that he thought about it, you had a lot of women as acolytes, perhaps you preferred women?
Meanwhile in Mondstadt.
Jean read the letter that appeared on her office with a small smile, it was one of the rare non-work related letters she had gotten after taking over the role of acting grand master, and the encouraging yet kind words of their grace were quite comforting.
Her office was filled with laughter as other women of Monstadt came to share their letters, Amber was leaning over Noelle as they read through hers. The girl's face was slightly pink, abashed yet happy, while Monstadt astrologian was going through the content of her, Amber's, and Lisa's letters muttering about numbers and patterns.
Said librarian was sipping wolfhook juice, no doubt from her student as she looked over Mona in amusement.
It seemed today she could relax a bit, their grace had said it was okay after all.
Meanwhile in Liyue.
Liyue had its own customs and traditions kept over centuries, there was much beraucracy and paperwork to go through when it was time to celebrate such holidays, and it was even rarer for them to add a new national holiday, even rarer for them to add one in just a mere few days.
Yet that was such power their grace held.
Keqing huffed but said nothing further, their beloved creator had personally encouraged her and told her to rest, who was she to refuse?
Ganyu smiled softly, reading her letter before taking the day off, deciding to nap after snacking on fresh flowers in the mountains near Cloud Retainer's abode.
Said woman was proudly showing off her letters to the other adepti who looked at her enviously. Zhongli hummed quietly and congratulated her on the wonderful gift, yet his lips were tightly pressed together, one could say he was also jealous as well.

the 'evil imposter' just wants to be a baker!
Prologue: The Foodie turned Imposter?!
Part 2: Sweet Flowers
[ part 1 ] || [ masterlist ] || [ part 3 ]

Walking around you'd slowly realize you were in Mondstadt, based from the bundle of regional specialties you held in your arms. The orange makeshift bouquet of windwheel asters spun around like a regular pinwheel. Seeing that sight brought a small smile on your face, your walk around Mondstadt was peaceful, you hadn't run into unnecessary troubles so maybe your worries were for nothing.
Yeah, nvm — [Name]
You felt your stomach grumble, famished you were. But the city seemed to be nearing in the distance. Perhaps you can wait till then, but then you remember how broke you were and sighed, staring at the orange flowers in your arms. You wonder if you can sell it.
Money was definitely going to be an issue, as well as acquiring a roof over your head. Depending on the timeline, the only place left, may already be booked by the Fatui Delegates.
Food could be remedied by foraging sunsettias and wild crops.
"Oh a waypoint!" excitedly you run up to the red, unactivated waypoint and quickly you did the first thing that came to mind, slapping it with your hand.
The monument gave a hum of life before it turned blue and activated. "So that works at least" you hummed, inspecting it curiously. Up close and in real life, you could see the intricate design chiseled into the material.
Crouching down you wondered, could you use a waypoint? could you use one to go back home. . ?
"Well if I don't get to go back home, at least I don't have any more student debt" you chuckled hopelessly as you rubbed the water that pricked your eyes.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
By the time you arrived at Mondstadt, the sun was almost setting. The skies were starting to get painted with an orange and pink hue.
Perhaps you shouldn't have gotten distracted or drowned in your sentiments and emotions. .
You sniffed, hugging yourself at the cold unforgiving winds while the windwheel asters and sweet flowers (a new addition to your wildflower bouquet) were luckily still fresh despite the trials they had gone through with your short travel to the city.
The sweet flowers had a sweet fragrance, once that made you crave for some sweet snacks. You debated on whether you can eat the flower raw, it looked more like a daisy too. . you decided against it. It would be far more wiser to use it for cooking or sell it for money.
The gates to the city was weirdly enough unguarded, so you stood by it awkwardly wondering when the guards would come. Would it be okay to enter without informing the knights? After waiting a couple of minutes, you decided to walk inside the city, time was running out, it would be getting dark soon and if you couldn't afford a place by selling these asters, you decided to at least buy some essentials. A polearm maybe or a coat, and maybe join the adventurers guild and see if there are any freebies or a free uniform you could get, cause your pajamas and fluffy Cinnamoroll designed slippers aren't going to cut it with the outdoor lifestyle you'd no doubt put them through.
You frown as you stared down on your cinnamoroll slippers. . it was no longer a pristine white due to the mud you had stepped into. .
Walking into the city of Mondstadt you found the city strangely. . void of life. You wonder if the prologue had yet to start and Stormterror or rather Dvalin was bothering the region.
Morale would mean a whole time low, and probably meant that prices on essentials would have risen, or maybe hopefully they were giving donations and relief goods.
"Hello," A voice greeted you and you turned to the woman or rather doll that operated the desk of the adventurer's guild "Would you like to join the Adventurer's guild?"
The smile on the puppet's face sent shivers down your spine but you pushed those feelings aside as you nodded politely. "Alright then, would you please present me with your information," she handed you a clipboard and pen "And I'll get the standard uniform for you." and then the receptionist left for a moment.
You blinked, wasn't she going to ask you for your size? or did Katheryne came with special eyes that could measure a person's body to decide the perfect clothes?
You began writing some information down. Your name, your age and your birthday but you left your address and place of origin empty since you couldn't just put in [country] and [city name] could you??
Turning to look behind you, you met eyes with a couple of residents of the city, and politely you waved at them as a greeting. . only for them to gape at you and run away from your gaze.
Okay. . rude much? was it because you were an outlander or a foreigner??
"Here you go. Everything seems to be in order." You snap back to the desk to find the receptionist had returned and had long since taken the clipboard and was reading through your information. 'When did she—?'
Katheryne then placed a set of uniform and fortunately, boots, right in front of you and you sighed in relief. "Thank you" and just as your finger grazed the fabric the clothes disappeared in a warm yellow light.
“. . .”
“can I uh. . get another set of the uniform. ." your voice cracked in shame. But before you could say anything more—
"Halt! Who dares to trespass into the City!" She flinched, turning to the approaching Guards, the knights of Favonius based on their uniforms, they stared at you wide eyes and mouth agape "What the—"
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
For whatever reason you ended up in Jean's office, tied down and on the floor. The windwheel asters were left on the streets, possibly wilting, alone. . the sweet flowers were trampled when they were trying to restrain her. It's sweet scent long gone, replaced with something bitter.
Jean wasn't here, oh wait no, she was coming in. You could hear muffled voices from the door, strange, when had your hearing been this good?
"do they really have the face of our divine?" that was Jean right? "well we won't know if we don't enter and see for ourselves" that suggestive yet sweet and soft voice was definitely Lisa's.
Were they talking about you?
What the hell did they mean by 'face of their divine?'
for some reason it was like a cold bucket of water was poured onto you, it was cold and terrifying and you started to shiver.
The door opened and Jean and Lisa did enter, as you craned your neck to look behind you, past the door you could see groups of knights who looked at each other with emotions you could vaguely pinpoint, horrified, worried, anger. .
"My my, you really do have the face of our esteemed creator." Lisa, the ever beautiful librarian grabbed you by the chin, making you look at her as she studied your face with scrutinizing Green eyes. Your breath hitched.
"What do you think?"
"I don't sense anything special from them, maybe they truly are an imposter."
You gaped at the terms that were hurled at you, imposter?? nothing special?? okay those were unnecessary!
Jean and Lisa conversed with each other, as your brows furrowed at the growing uncertainty in your stomach. Something was wrong, when were the Steadfast Jean and the carefree Lisa this. . cold and heartless.
"Where are Kaeya and the others?" Jean asked. "They are still visiting the temples with the traveller. I left after finishing the temple I was assigned to." Lisa informed the blond who nodded at the information.
The acting grandmaster hummed "I suppose we should deal with the imposter before they return."
The sound of a blade being unsheathed made you pale, the color disappearing from your skin as you watched Jean approached you, sword in hand without hesitation. .
Was she really going to kill you?
"Wait— wait a second? Why the hell are you going to kill me? What did I even do? Sure I entered the city carelessly but that was because your knights were slacking—hic!"
You could feel cold metal on the skin around your neck, sweat started to gather as you froze under Jean's stare.
"You committed the most grave blasphemy, heresy against the most divine creator! To imitate her beloved's face is a crime punishable by death."
You backtracked "What did you mean by creator! Also also how is being born with my face a crime?! do you hear how stupid that shit sounds?! You're a knight isn't there a due process?!"
Before she could reply the windows rattled and rattled, the winds were strong, the sun had long set and it was dark yet you could see the dust and objects flying about dangerous due to the storm. .
Storm terror was here.
Quickly you stood up, gaining Jean's and Lisa's attention once more as you quickly ran towards the window, knocking Jean to the ground and grabbing her sword due to your pettiness. You stopped for a moment to cut the restraints off your wrists with the sword.
"Why don't you settle down" Lisa said with a sickening sweet voice as powerful electro manifested in her hands and—
you screamed.

Calling Monstadt girls your girls ~
Tumblr media
↳˳;; ❝ CALLING THE MONDSTADT GIRLS YOUR GOOD GIRLS ᵕ̈೫˚∗
Mondstadt girls x Creator!Reader
Eula, Rosaria, Jean, Lisa, Amber, Mona & Sucrose
Eula - May the gentle breeze softly send thee into a sweet sleep.
"Come closer, sit in my lap Eula..." she hesitates, unsure if she heard you right. Unsure if she is even allowed to get any closer to you. But nonetheless, her body moves on its own. "As you wish, my grace"
There is no hesitation anymore as Eula makes her way to you and finally settles in your lap, not uttering a word. She merely stares up/down at your face, not daring to look away or even blink. For her, this is the best place she can be. "Good girl, you listen so well"
A whine rumbles from deep within her chest. She is breathless under your touch. It takes every ounce of restraint she has to remain in place instead of leaning back into your hands. She shifts in your lap, only wanting to be a little closer. The hands you had placed onto her soft thighs aren't any help either. It only heats her up even more. Eula has forgotten how to speak. She seems utterly mesmerized by your touch, unable to do anything but whimper, moan, and purr. She is utterly submissive to you. Her eyes glaze over in sheer desire to be in your presence.
She doesn't question anything. She simply enjoys this moment. "Say Eula, are you my good girl?"
"Y-Yes, Your Grace. Yes!" Her voice is hoarse. Her breathing is strained. Her entire body trembles from the sheer thrill of being held by you. She leans back, finally giving in to her own wants and leans into your touch. "I didn't hear you, please, say it again, for me, hm?"
"Yes! Yes, I'm your good girl!" Eula seems positively delirious. She barely seems to be able to speak in the way that anyone else would deem 'proper.' She leans back, resting with her head in the crook of your neck.
"Good... girl...," she mumbles, seemingly unable to think of how to form words that might please you most. Her eyes glaze over. All this worship has put her in a trance.
"Your good girl...yours"
Rosaria - Do not fear your past, and do not be scared to come to grips with it
While Rosaria is a woman of pride who often insists on taking her own path, when she comes within a hundred miles of you, this attitude evaporates like morning mist upon contact with the sun. She could not care less for her own ideas when she is under your light, and she will follow you wherever you lead. And for a moment, she will seem content with you as her purpose.
"Sit in my lap" If you order her to, then she has no choice but to sit in your lap. She will wrap an arm around your waist, the other running the fingers of her index finger and thumb along the line of your neck.
As she presses her body against yours, she is aware of every sensation. Her heart beats quick, her breath quickens, and her entire body glows with heat. It is as if she is experiencing being truly alive for the first time.
"Good girl, hm?" "Yes, i am," she promises, her eyes drifting shut. She is completely at ease, no longer wracked with pain or weighed down by memories of what has passed. There is only you, and the fact that she feels at home whenever she sits in your lap. Rosarias arm tightens against you as she looks up at you, eyes full of worship.
"I'm your good girl." Her lips brush over the nape of your neck, her breath making your very skin tingle with pleasure. Her soft fingers trail across your skin, her hand drifting over your collar.
"You're mine," she whispers seductively. "I'm yours." It's as if all the restraint she ever held within melts away with each word she whispers to you.
"Only mine, only yours"
Jean - Dandelion, Dandelion, ride the wind to a faraway land.
Jean raises her head at your command, and moves to be closer to you. There's absolutely no hesitation on her actions, but her heart is hammering in her chest, the thuds of her pulse loud in her ears.
Her gaze is locked on yours, the emotions rising up inside, a maelstrom of heat and longing.
"Jean, my dear, please take a seat" She does as you ask, climbing onto your lap as you instruct. Her face flushes a deeper shade of red, but she says nothing. Her gaze is on your hands as you stroke her hair with care. Her breathing is ragged, the air in her lungs going stale from how tight she is gripping herself.
"I know you are stressing yourself with work again, so I want my good boy to relax a little"
"Yes," she whispers, but her heartbeat quickens even more at your touch. Jean doesn't feel like she can relax. She cannot fathom anything being enough for a moment like this. Her head leans forward against your body, and her eyes close as your fingers comb through her honey-blonde hair. "My good girl, always so hardworking..."
She shivers at your touch, leaning back further still. The emotions in her are like a wild storm of her powers, but she dares not move for fear of losing the comfort of your hands. "Yes," she says once more. Her eyes are closed, her heart hammering in her chest as you call her "good girl"
Her face is flushed a deep red by the sheer realization, good girl
Lisa - Such a calming breeze... Perfect for taking a nap, don't you think?
"Please, take a seat" Lisa looks startled for a moment, but her expression quickly warms up. "Of course. Your wish is my sole command." There is truth in that statement, even if it's a tad exaggerated. The woman can be a bit of a drama queen at times. When she makes eye contact with you, there is a spark. She moves over to you without hesitation, her hair blowing slightly in the draft.
This is certainly a... unique position to be in. You can feel the warmth exuding from her soft body. Shes got a strong presence, and it's hard not to be affected by the energy radiating from her. Lisa is practically purring in your lap, the tips of her hair tickling against your neck. Her hand brushes against your waist, almost instinctively.
"Tell me Lisa, are you my good girl?" "I am, Your Grace~" she replies instantly, and her tone is as sincere as it is eager. She is in your lap, after all. She can't help but be her most devoted for you. "I will always be your good girl, until the end." Her voice is hoarse, and she shifts her body slightly to be closer to yours. Her eyes are bright.
"Good...you better be" you chuckle at this, it was meant as a little joke. Lisa smiles at you, like a contented puppy. "Anything for you, my dear." She leans forward just enough to touch her lips against your cheek. Her body feels so warm and she smells so familiar.
"Your good girl would never deny you"
Amber - Outrider Amber reporting for duty! Just say the word if you ever need my help!
"Amber, I'm glad you're back. Please, come here" "Y-Yes, my grace" Amber replies in a voice no louder than a whisper. Completely the opposite of her usual tone. Her brown hair bounces as she moves, but she remains focused on you; moving slowly as to not surprise you with her haste. Each step is calculated, made with caution.
She waits to be within your vicinity, and then to your command. "Now that you're here, take a seat" you say while tapping your hands gently on your thighs, a sign for her to have it as her seat. Amber does not hesitate in her movement as your command is given. Her body is moving before the thought has even settled in her mind, as her body knows exactly what you want from her.
She lowers herself onto your lap, and she rests her weight against you. Her body is light, but it is only because her muscles have already gone slack under the weight of your gaze. (I mean excuse me but this girl seriously has to have some muscles with her abilities---)
"That's my good girl" In response, Amber's lips curve into a faint smile. Though she knows her position is humble, she is satisfied by it. Your praise only further fills her with a sense of contentedness, and she leans her weight against your chest, enjoying being close to you once more.
"Hmmm, such a good girl" Amber closes her eyes with a soft whine of relief. When you play with her hair, it has more of an effect on her than she wishes to admit. Her body leans into your touch.
"Yes, such a good girl..." she's in trace.
Mona - Fate is called as such, for it cannot be changed, nor can it be reversed. It can only but be accepted.
Your gaze is intimidating. It burns into her very soul, and she cannot shake the sense of dread she feels. But instead of faltering, she presses down all emotion.
Mona will be exactly who you want her to be.She looks away, bowing her head and looking to the ground. Her cheeks are warm. Her ears are burning. She is so terribly close to you. And soon she will even be closer...
"Sit in my lap"
She does so without hesitation. She doesn't know why, but she does. Its like every embarrassment she felt was gone with the words you said. Every ounce of her feels like it's on fire. The heat radiating from your body is overwhelming. But she does not flinch away. She does not squirm at your touch. She is entirely still as she sits in your lap.
She does not look at you. If she did, she would faint.
"Good girl, listening so well"
"Yes," she says, her voice quivering slightly. Her eyes are locked onto her hands "I-" she swallows audibly, "I'm your good girl"
She is shaking, though she still does not move. Mona remains completely still. She will not cause you discomfort. Your comfort comes before her own. Although you would never agree by this.
"Yours" she says again.
Sucrose - My Vision is my most important research tool.
"Come here, sit beside me" Sucrose does not move. "Wh-what do you want from me?" She asks, her words edged with nervousness. There is a part of her that desperately wants to rush over to you as any good little servant would. But something seems to hold her back, as though a leash were around her neck.
Her eyes dart back and forth quickly. She is clearly trying to think of an excuse to not cross the room.
"It's for research" you try to lurr her in, and it seems to work. Slowly, ever so slowly, Sucrose stands up. And then, like a puppet on strings, she starts to walk towards you. Her stride is purposeful, and his gaze is fixed ahead. Despite her face— unsure but determined — you can see her fingers trembling ever-so-slightly.
The closer she gets to you, the more she appears to be losing self-control over herself.
"Such a good girl you are" she's never been called a 'good girl' before. Yes, Albedo did praise her for her researches, but never once did his praise put her into a state of dizziness as yours. But you can tell that being praised this way has left her feeling elated and surprised.
"H-huh?" She turns her head to look up at you, and as soon as she looks into your eyes, she's frozen. In a moment, all of her previous questions are gone. The only thing she knows now is how to look up at you and be loyal to you. She waits patiently for your next command, her body tense yet eager to please.
Sucroses mouth goes agape and her body trembles, as though she's overwhelmed with every word you speak. Being called "your good girl" and being praised in this way, it's almost too much for her to comprehend. Her breath catches in her throat and she looks away, seemingly embarrassed.
"I-i hope my reaction was pleasing for your...research..."

platonic!sagau seeing you cry behind the screen (freminet, yaoyao, ningguang, neuvillette, lisa)
notes: inspired by me having a rough day and crying while i farmed mats LOL (also neuvillette’s is mostly my own hc for him, sorry if it’s ooc)
Tumblr media
freminet:
panic
probably keeps putting his helmet on. it’s not that he doesn’t want to help, it’s just that he doesn’t know how…
tries extra hard in any fights to try to make things a little easier. this, at least, is one way he can help, even if only a little. his damage output is higher, his cds are shorter, he’s powering through any hits he takes - not enough for you to notice anything odd, but enough to speed up any annoying commissions.
(lyney and lynette might be a little upset at him later for pushing himself too hard - though they understand more when he explains. they would do the same for you, after all.)
if he knows you like pers and who doesn’t, he’ll do his idle animation holding the mechanical penguin more often (hopefully you’re not paying too much attention, though, because you might find it odd that he’s wearing his helmet during the pers idle animation…)
yaoyao:
D:
surprisingly, she’s actually not too worried - even if she doesn’t like seeing you sad, she knows you’re strong enough to pull through whatever it is that’s upsetting you.
but just because you can handle it doesn’t mean she can’t help!
any of her voicelines that you think are cute, you’ll suddenly be hearing much more. (although it is a bit odd to hear her talking about the “silly frogs” when it’s not even raining.)
any cooking you do seems to go much better than usual - not only are you getting specialties first try, but you get high quality dishes without even trying.
(you might also find a few extra qingce household dishes in your inventory.)
ningguang:
she already wishes she could whisk you off to liyue. this is not helping.
whenever she sees you sad, she thinks about how well she could take care of you if you were in teyvat; thinks of the gifts she already has prepared, the spare room she keeps unoccupied just so she’s ready for whenever you decide it’s time to descend. seeing you cry just heightens those feelings.
her voice might sound a bit harsher than normal, but it’s not directed to you - rather, to whatever it is that has upset you.
whenever her idle animations play, she tries to summon brighter, sparklier gems than normal, hoping that the sight will lift your spirits, or at least take your mind off your problems.
if you stop at any shops in liyue, the prices might be mysteriously lower than normal. not by enough for you to notice, but enough to save you at least some trouble - the loss of a few thousand mora is nothing to ningguang, if it can help you even a little.
neuvillette:
hydro dragon, hydro dragon, don’t cry!
for some reason, when you’re sad, fontaine is always raining…
neuvillette hates seeing you upset. as someone who has spent much time crying himself, he knows what it’s like to suffer in silence - something he would never want for you. he hopes that being with him, even with a barrier inbetween, makes you feel less alone.
he longs to wipe your tears away, but that’s not an option behind the screen, so he’ll settle for smaller ways to cheer you up.
if you go underwater, you might notice more sea creatures than usual; not attacking you or even interacting with you, but just… hovering around, sharing neuvillette’s desire to brighten your spirits.
neuvillette’s voicelines will also sound quieter; not quite a whisper, but definitely softer than normal. it’s not an extreme difference, but he hopes you find his voice comforting.
lisa:
seeing her cutie sad just breaks her heart!
speaking of cutie, you might notice her tacking the nickname onto the end of voicelines that don’t normally have it.
lisa wishes she could rest your head in her lap and read to you - never has she hated the barrier between you so much!
similar to freminet, lisa puts her all into any fights you bring her to. it doesn’t matter if it’s a slime or the fatui, she’s hitting them with enough lightning to completely fry them, trying to wrap up any fights you need to complete as fast as possible so you can relax.
although she wants to spend as much time with you as she can, she knows that she shouldn’t be selfish, and that often sleep is the best medicine for heartache. for once, she’s not just upset when you leave - she’s also hopeful you’ll come back smiling.

ɢᴇɴsʜɪɴ ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ x ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴏʀ's ᴄʜɪʟᴅ ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ (ɢɴ)
Characters = Jean, Lisa,
-ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢs = "This is my first ever fic, So it may be trash.", Not-Proofread, Slight-Angst, Short, "Would like to clarify that reader is not a kid here but is just a son\daughter of the creator."
Tumblr media
𝙹𝙴𝙰𝙽 - 𝙳𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝙺𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝
- Hardworking, Reliable Jean. Always one to never back down on her words but fail to back down when needed. She is as strong as she looks, She is the Acting Grand Master for a reason.
- Though, Even if she is strong, She has her own set of problems. And no, Not just the paperworks that seem to pile up each and everyday.. 𝐘𝐨𝐮.
- It's not that she hates you, No no. You're the creators child! An heir of their maker but.. She can't help but feel as though this is a dream, Being the lover of the heir of the entirety of Teyvat? That sounds like a fantasy.
- She feels as though you deserve better, Someone smarter, Stronger, more reliable than her. She can't help but think little about herself whenever you stand beside her, She loves you, oh so very dearly, But. Do you truly love her back?
__-____-__-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-___-_
"My dear..?" The muffled voice coming over from the closed, Locked door of Jean's office. She has secluded herself inside, She didn't want you to see her in such a state. She didn't want you to see how weak she is.
A knock comes from the door, Twice, thrice. Sooner or later, Jean was already in front of the door. Contemplating whether to let you in or not, To let you see how vulnerable she was to thoughts that resembled those of the abyss.
"(Name)... I'm.. I'm sorry." Jean softly speaks out, Clutching her chest tightly as she held back her tears. "Jean, Open the door. Please, Let's talk." The muffled voice speaks out, The same level of softness with Jean's. The dandelion knight just obeyed without a thought, Opening the door slightly ajar to let you see her.
(Name) quickly comes inside upon seeing her current state, Closing the door behind themselves as they quickly cupped Jean's face.
"My dear? Has something happened? Please, Tell me." (Name) spoke gently, A worried look on their face as Jean just smiled slightly at the God's worry. "No, No. Im.. Im fine." Jean whispered, A small huff of tiredness escaping her. "Im just.. Wondering, 𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚖𝚎?"
"Because, You're the only one that sees me as me, Not 'Creator's child'. Not 'Teyvat's Next Ruler'. Just me. I love you. I love you very much, I will never get tired of repeating it to you. I love you so much, Jean."
Tumblr media
𝙻𝚒𝚜𝚊 - 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍 𝙻𝚒𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚊𝚗
- "The flirty librarian of the Knights of Favonius". Everyone just sees her as that, Nothing else. No one realizes just how much depth and character her personality has. Mondstadt citizens love her, fear her or anything in between. But they barely even know her.
- Lisa, A name that strikes fear to those that have faced her wrath when they didn't bring back her books on time. A name that strikes others with amazement upon having the knowledge about her past with Sumeru, being the Alumna of the Akademiya.
- People that has a facade often crumbles to pieces upon having the thoughts of not being good enough, Lisa is no exception. Even she feels like she doesn't belong for you, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 for you.
- A thought that corrupts and takes over her mind, Even when it all started small. Even when she just laughed it off at first, It clawed her mind. The doubts, The judgement of herself slowly getting to her thoughts.
- But she would never tell you, She wouldn't want to burden you with mortal problems as that. She would rather eat herself inside out than making you worry for her.
__-_____--_-____-_-_-_--__-_-_-_-_-_-_
"Dear? You have been quiet for some time. Is anything wrong? You can always tell me." The God spoke with helpless worry, Holding onto a book that they were just about to put back on the shelf.
"Oh. Nothing is wrong love, Just thinking about the citizens that still haven't returned with their books." Lisa spoke with serene calmness, A facade she has mastered with your help, Unbeknownst to you.
She loved you, She loved you for being nice, caring.. Naive. She loved that you didn't question her too much, She knew your naivety would put you in danger, But it's nothing that she can't fix.
"Oh, Like Donna?" (Name) asked while facing the shelf, Putting the book back to where it belongs before walking over to Lisa on her table. "Yes, Love. Like Donna, But she'll come of course. Ive already shown her what I'd do if she doesn't return back for the 4th time." The mage spoke with a calm yet scary smile on her face. Maybe it was just the doubts returning back to her, eating her mind alive, But if Donna doesn't come back with the book tomorrow, Lisa might accidentally let her boiling hot exasperation on her.

Hello there! I hope your day is going well, but if not I hope it gets better dude!!!🤗
I wanted to know if it’s alright to request an idea for sagau? Like I might make a post about this but I always thought it would be cool to have y/n retain some realistic features even though they isekai into tevat!
Like for example; the hair being more textured, shines in reflection , the way they would have different shades and saturation throughout the skin, they way how your touch feels ‘real’ or different, oh and ur eyes, oh how the characters could look how your pupils reflects, etc.
Idk I always thought if I were to make and character of mine or y/n still retaining little features they had back their own world seem kind of cool and interesting to think how people would react to it!
Even better is if they don’t know you’re the ‘creator’ of their reality and they were only able to hear your voice and how you express yourself!!
Anyways sorry for making this so long 🥲 I’m just kind of curious on how you or others would feel on this idea 💡
Unique differences
Gender neutral reader, ideas TW/CW: sagau Character(s): Some characters from Mondstadt Word count: 608 Proofread: n/a | The differences you hold is what makes you unique, so special, lovable. | A/N: hello! I hope this fits your tastes..? might have a part two if i manage to find some more ideas!
Taglist: @chaoffee
Tumblr media
When you arrive you probably don’t know why some random citizens look at you with such amazed, perplexed gazes, with you likely thinking there’s something on your face that you don’t know was there.
You’re also slightly confused why the hilichurls don’t attack when you’re an inch near them, and why the slimes seem to be more docile, why you barely manage to see abyss mages– everything’s odd.
If you arrive near Mondstadt, Amber is the first one to find you and lead you towards the headquarters of the knights of Favonius, but she definitely notices something different with you. You haven’t spoken yet, so she doesn’t know who you really are, perhaps, you’re like the traveller, she thinks.
But when you properly introduce yourself to Jean and the others the whole knights that are in the headquarters, such as Albedo, Sucrose, Kaeya, Lisa, perhaps Eula, gather around you, murmuring to themselves that you’re 99% the creator that they’ve only ever heard, and you’re just standing there.
With your voice, the different, more dynamic and ‘lively’ look that you have seemed to make more sense–your eyes held the shine and reflection of their own appearance, your skin seemed to be much softer… and you assume that you’ve managed to retain some realer features you had in your original world.
Don’t worry, don’t fret, they love you with or without differences. Even if you weren’t the creator, Mondstadt welcomes you with open arms.
Best to say now the whole of Mondstadt finally knows their creator’s here in their region.
Tumblr media
While Albedo knows that you are the creator, he can’t help but wonder if he can try to run some tests–he doesn’t want to hurt you, he just has an infinite curiosity ridden area in his mind.
Same goes for Sucrose too, but she doesn’t want to come off as rude or disrespectful, so she only holds these curiosities within her, oftentimes writing this in her journal, it’s not creepy, I promise.
Jean finds your presence nice, but more than others, it feels as if you’re like a safe haven for her with only just your presence, and you can visibly see her tired eyes brighten up when you pat her head for her hard work.
For Lisa, she also holds some questions for you, though she’d rather stay where she is, watching and hearing you enthusiastically talk about the books and literature in your world in the library.
Diluc wishes he was the person to find you first and lead you to Mondstadt– his feelings towards the knights of Favonius may be neutral and slightly, very slightly bad, but he’s still grateful that you managed to arrive safely. If you manage to visit Angel’s Share often, he’s somehow always there, wiping a glass or two.
Kaeya’s teasing his brother. No hard feelings though! Just pure friendly sibling rivalry. But when you’re near, his charismatic face fades as he’s rendered to someone yearning for affection–it’s adorable.
Same goes for Eula. She’s not often seen in Mondstadt due to her… ‘status’, but when you welcome her with open arms and no judgemental gaze, she feels… so appreciated. She’s barely felt this before other than in the knights of Favonius, but this… feels more different, warm, loving.
Venti’s elated, often like him a majority of times, but for him, he feels the joy that he’s never felt before–it’s pure, unadulterated joy that stems from his chest, as his mind fills with endless pure and innocent praise and lyrics for you with his lyre. The weather in Mondstadt seems to be more light, a refreshing breeze whenever Venti’s with you for some reason…

The Ultimate, Unholy Checkmate: Chapter 1
Before we begin, this series' title is being changed from simply The Final Checkmate to The Ultimate, Unholy Checkmate because I clearly just stole Shotgun King's title and that sucks lmfao
Alright now, enjoy!
Reader is Gender Neutral

Dawn. The time of day when the sun arises from its secluded spot in the night, shining a radiant light upon all of Teyvat and its residents. A time when many still slumber under the coziness of warm blankets or in serene environments that belong to nature.
Yet during this time, someone advances toward their destination with high focus.
Clutching your shotgun in hand, you trudged your way to Mondstadt with no intentions of negotiation. Teyvat felt each step you took with great fervor, itself awaiting the entertainment you will inevitably bring.
Occasionally, you stopped to tidy up your kingly robes, a black outfit inspired by royalty granted to you comprised of silk from Liyue, jewels from Natlan, dyes from Sumeru, fur from Mondstadt, and metal from Inazuma for tiny little details. With Chiori tailoring the outfit, they clearly held regal looks at a glance yet you never wore them despite your acolytes' pleading for you to do so. You didn't want to be seen as a greedy royal or anything like that.
Clearly, though, times have changed. You no longer hold any regard for reputation or emotions, considering that your allogenes disregarded your dignity and your feelings for the sake of worshipping you akin to a cult.
'Fucking greedy leeches. They only wanted my blessings and blood, and they refused to provide me even a bouquet of flowers!' You internally thought, anger only bubbling by the second. Thankfully, Teyvat thought of the perfect way to calm you down.
"Chirp! Chirp chirp! Squeak!"
You looked down to see a creature in front of you: a small white ermine, out here in Mondstadt when it's not even supposed to be winter in Teyvat. It eagerly ran up to you, and you couldn't help but smile at the little creature.
(A/N: This is an Ermine)
Tumblr media
(You will see why I introduced this little fella later)
Placing your shotgun to the side, you crouched down to pet the little unnatural fella. The ermine made no effort to escape you and instead leaned into your touches with its version of a smile. Teyvat must have created this creature since Teyvat accompanied and cared for you greatly after you escaped your former acolytes.
One such thing it did was to form several pets for you to take care of. Before you left for your solo crusade, you left them with enough food and water to last at least a week. Not that you may have needed to do that, since Teyvat's proactive motherly nature would have fed them anyway.
Not wishing to let the creature fend for itself, you put it in one of your robe pockets and let its head poke out. Picking up your shotgun, you two continued your trek to Mondstadt.
Tumblr media
When you approached Mondstadt's gates, the time passed from dawn to morning when many would be awake.
"Welcome to- ...Your grace! We thought you disappeared!" Swan said before he kneeled and Lawrence followed suit.
"Yes, yes, I needed a little bit of time alone from the usual godly duties. I wish I could stay and chat, but would you two good men let me pass through the pearly gates to the nation of freedom?"
You topped your sugar-coated words with a warm smile, a white lie to your emotions. You wanted to blast the two to bits, but that would ruin the surprise you planned for Venti.
"Sure! Mondstadt will always welcome you, your grace."
'Welcome me so they can take me as a fucking blood bank again,' you bitterly thought as you strode on into the nation of freedom. Everyone was awake, and as such everyone noticed your presence and kneeled or bowed or did something to acknowledge your presence.
You ignored the civilians, for they were not allogenes and thus not targets for you to pursue. However, one of the vision wielders did show up: Outrider Amber.
"Oh my god- Your Grace you're back! We were so worried about you, and, uh..." She stopped before her expression turned guilty, and her peppy appearance appeared to falter. "On behalf of the Knights of Favonius and vision wielders of Mondstadt, I dearly apologize for our actions... none of us can atone for our sins, so we hope we can rebuild our trust..."
Amber aimed her head towards the ground, her demeanor and posture clearly in shame. You simply chuckled, your voice and expression still inconspicuous.
"Oh, silly little outrider! I hold no grudge against any of you. Seriously, not at all! In fact, I came here to give you all a gift." Amber did not expect your response, rather she looked surprised for a moment. Nevertheless, your response revitalized her giddy attitude.
"Really?! What kind of gift?!"
"THIS!"
In the span of one point five seconds, you aimed your shotgun at Amber and pulled the trigger. The gun fired a shell with a loud BANG! and sent blood flying everywhere. Amber's body fell to the ground, clearly bleeding out with several bullet holes in her torso.
Gasps flew everywhere around you two, and you no longer bore that benevolent expression you held a few seconds ago. You picked Amber up and looked at her dead in her eyes, not caring about her blood staining your robes.
"Listen here, you asshole of an outrider. I do not forgive you, and I never will. I remembered how you were amongst the many who greedily used my blood to commit acts of violence I never wanted for you to commit, and denied me offerings of simple things in favor of fucking skulls of ancient beasts and that shit. I remember it all, and I will ensure you remember it too."
You screamed at the end of your sentence and dropped Amber to the ground. Then, you took out a small bottle of red liquid and poured it all over the outrider.
"Do you know what this liquid does, Amber? It's an elixir that will force your blood to constantly regenerate itself, yet never clot any open wounds. That way, you can truly feel what I felt during the past few months of the hell that was my life!"
To add insult to her injuries, your ermine buddy decided to crawl out of your pocket and lick Amber's blood which caused it to stain its mouth in the process. You finally looked up from Amber's position and at the locals. Staring at all of the shocked expressions, you pointed the gun at them, forcing them to shudder and brace themselves for any possible shots.
"Citizens of Mondstadt! Let it be known that your Divine Grace has returned, and they are back with a vengeance! I have no direct grudge against you lot, so you shall be spared from my fury! But make no mistake: should you even dare to try and stop me, you shall meet your insignificant end with lead in your guts!"
You then heard two swords drop back in the direction of Mondstadt's gates, and you saw Swan and Lawrence scared shitless with their faces in pale complexion.
"Ah, it's the two gate guardians of Mondstadt! Tell you what, you two: I have a mission for you! I will give you exactly ten minutes to tell the rest of the Knights of Favonius and the vision wielders to face against me in combat!"
The two didn't move. "Well?! GET ON WITH IT, YOU YOKELS!" And then the two ran off into the city, not even bothering to pick up their swords.
Meanwhile, you reloaded your shotgun, breaking it open and inserting another shell into the left barrel of the weapon. You picked up your ermine buddy with a gentle smirk and placed him back in your pocket. "Come on buddy, let's go for a stroll."
Tumblr media
Noelle began her day hearing two deafening, unnatural bangs, and when she exited her house Swan and Lawrence ran into her.
"Oh thank god you're up Noelle! Could you help us get any of the Knights of Favonius or vision wielders here?! Please it's urgent!!"
"O-Okay!" That was all Noelle could say before running with the two guards who normally guarded Mondstadt's gates to gather anyone specified they could find.
They gathered Jean, Kaeya, Lisa, Eula, Rosaria, and I think you get the drill, alongside other personnel who met in the headquarters. They met up in the Grand Master's office to clear up the situation.
"Okay, what's the situation you two?" Jean asked, clearly a little confused.
"Their Grace is back and I think they want our heads!" Swan yelled, clearly shaken up by Their Grace's declaration earlier. Everyone's expressions simply radiated confusion. Kaeya responded first, chuckling and looking at Swan and Lawrence with a glint in his eye. "Now now, you two. I doubt Their Grace would want our heads without a good reason. They were so benevolent while they were with us, no?"
"And may I add that they didn't decide to punish us for anything, darlings," Lisa added. "They clearly must not be-"
"THEY LEFT AMBER BLEEDING ON THE GROUND!"
Lawrence's outburst quieted the whole room, with everyone's expressions turning both shocked and fearful. "How?" Jean simply asked, and both knights started describing the nature of the unseen weapon in Their Grace's hands.
Amid the discussion, no one noticed that Noelle left the room.
Tumblr media
Strolling around the streets of Mondstadt, you ignored the looks on the locals' faces as they flocked to each other, gossiping about what you did to Amber. Around five minutes had passed by now, and if no vision wielders or Knights of Favonius showed up in five more you would-
"[Name]!" A familiar voice shook you out of your thoughts.
Turning around, you saw Noelle with a worrisome expression. You simply stared back with a look of surprise and uneasiness, not noticing that your buddy poked his head out of your pocket to stare at her too.
You forgot that Noelle sought to become a Knight of Favonius, despite always failing their selection tests. During the months that you bled and bled Noelle always decided to serve at your beck and call, granting you what others would not.
In the times that you felt the pain and hurt from the cutting you performed on yourself, Noelle would do her best to comfort you as healers performed their duties.
She even began calling you by your name when you asked her to, when others would not even after several times.
She gave you what others would not.
She comforted you when you were in distress.
She treated you like a friend.
And though you may not have known this,
She was among the first to look for you not because of her mistakes, but because she was concerned for a friend.
"Noelle..." you quietly muttered to yourself as the memories rapidly flooded back into your mind.
Tumblr media
As you used the ritual dagger to cut open your arm for the fifth time today, you watched as Heizou and Ningguang greedily consumed the ichor that fell into the deep channels of your temple.
"Your Grace, I give you many thanks for the divine blessings you oh so bestow upon us by the daily," Ningguang said. "As do I," Heizou added, to which Ningguang glared at him for what she only considered a chaff response. You simply forced a convincing smile at their responses, a tactic you learned quickly after three weeks of bleeding.
"[Name]! I have your pancakes-" Noelle said before noticing the two other acolytes drinking your ichor from the channels, which was interrupted by Noelle.
"Oh, uh- sorry I'll come back once you two are done," the maid said as she turned around. "No, please," you asked, seeking her presence. "Don't go. Not yet at least."
Noelle gently waltzed her way over to you, giving you a plate of her Lighter-Than-Air Pancakes for you to dine on with a fork to go with it. Ningguang noticed this and scowled at her.
"Tell me, resident of Mondstadt. Why must you give Their Grace pancakes instead of anything of value to them? Do you believe you can win them over with simple sweet treats?"
"I-I very much believe it so, Ningguang," Noelle responded, gesturing to you hungrily devouring the pancakes with a stupid smile. "See- look at that face of theirs-"
"Have you ever considered that the expression may just be a farce to keep you happy?" Heizou asked, the bitterness in his voice evident. This shocked both you and Noelle, but clearly, he didn't notice as he turned to you.
"Your Grace, I am heading out to face Abyssal forces soon, and I intend to bring back something better than this individual's treats that anyone can make. Keep in touch, okay?" He smiled before leaving alongside Ningguang, who simply scoffed at the maid.
"Don't listen to them, Noelle." You simply said to her as you continued eating her pancakes.
"I know, but they act as if my actions are so sinful and disrespecting your very figure! It's so stuffy!" Noelle complained as she sighed before smiling at you. "But I can tell you love my pancakes very much, so I will keep bringing them to you!"
Your stupid smile was now a downright giddy grin. "Thank you, Noelle."
Tumblr media
Your intimidating demeanor faltered as you reminisced on the topic, and you lowered your shotgun. All you could do in your position currently was stare at Noelle with a weathered expression.
"Noelle, I wish we could have met under better circumstances. But right now, I can only say one thing to you:"
"Run. Please, if not for yourself, then for me, because I am going to cause a bloodbath in this nation and I do not want you caught in my crossfire. Out of everyone that I bled for in this nation, I treasure you the most. And I do not want to lose you again, not ever in my lifetime."
Your voice grew more desperate as you spoke, revealing the vulnerable side you gradually locked up all those months ago except to Teyvat and the wilderness. Currently, out of all the people in Mondstadt, this was the one who you wanted to protect the most.
"So please, Noelle. Run away from this place, and don't turn back. I can only warn you this one time."
Noelle stared back with an uneasy yet firm expression. "...A-Alright, [Name], if that's what you want, then okay." And with those words, she turned her body and ran. You don't know where she will run to, but hopefully, it will be somewhere safe.
Then, you heard footsteps behind you and you turned your profile to find Jean alongside various vision wielders and the Knights of Favonius in your sight. You relaxed your current posture as you smiled benevolently.
"Ah, it seems that Swan and Lawrence weren't so useless after all."
You took a moment to look at the vision wielders in the crowd. At the front of the crowd was Jean, natural for her role as Acting Grand Master. Eula and Lisa were to her left while Kaeya was to her right. Rosaria and Mona stood further back in the crowd, with the Knights of Favonius everywhere else. Everyone's expressions were apprehensive.
"Your Grace... as much as I would like to say that I am overjoyed at your return, what did you do to Amber??" Jean asked with apprehension, a sentiment shared by everyone else at the scene except for you.
"I just gave her what I wanted to give her for months on end, you know after you fuckers coerced me to fucking bleed my guts out for your folly."
Jean flinched at how you raised your voice at the second part, and she had nothing to say to that so you continued.
"So, my offer to you, Acting Grand Master Jean, is to fight me with the full force of the vision wielders and Knights of Favonius right here, right now! And I hope you all fight with your full potential because I certainly won't hold back for this!"
You leaned harshly forward at that ending statement and Jean flinched. Eula, feeling the tension, decided to intervene. "Your Grace, please, we can solve this manner peacefully-"
"Fuck your peace offerings! There will be no negotiations with me, not anymore. You will fight or die trying!"
Eula remained silent after that, her expression clearly showing conflicting thoughts. Lisa spoke up next, her expression now looking sad and sorry.
"Darling... what happened to you in the months that you were gone? You were so benevolent when you gave up your blood for us unworthy acolytes, and your smile was so radiant..."
Lisa's voice grew more sorrowful with every word, yet your expression remained unchanging.
"And now... here you stand in Mondstadt, supposedly leaving poor little Amber bleeding on the ground. Just... why?"
You simply stared and blinked for a moment.
Then, you began to laugh.
"Ha....haha. Hahahahahah...Ahahahahah, ahahahahahah! *cough cough* AHAHAHAHAHAH!!!"
"Oh, you are such a fucking fool, Lisa! I guess your knowledge and wisdom did NOTHING to recognize what you and the others have done in these past months!"
Lisa shut up, and everyone's expressions grew more fearful.
"Have you all not considered that my smiles and compliments were fake? That I simply pretended to be happy to appease you writhing worms hungry for senseless warfare?! You and the vision wielders from the other nations simply wanted me for my blessings! Since clearly, when I couldn't provide artifacts or upgrade materials anymore, I was left to the dust!"
"And only when I left my temple, which I will remind you, was only constructed because I could bleed liquid strength in a bottle, only then did you all attempt to look for me! Not for me, not for my company, but FOR MY BLOOD!"
Your irate outburst further shocked and saddened the crowd, but you still had some steam going. This time, your tone turned anguishing.
"AT LEAST OUT OF EVERYONE, NOELLE CARED FOR ME LIKE A FRIEND! SHE GAVE ME WHAT YOU DENIED, BOTHERED TO KNOW ME BEYOND MY BLESSINGS, AND ACTUALLY TREATED ME LIKE A FUCKING HUMAN BEING!"
"I TOLD HER TO RUN FROM ME, NOT BECAUSE SHE'S MY FAVORITE ACOLYTE, BUT BECAUSE SHE'S ONE OF THE ONLY PEOPLE I CAN ACTUALLY CALL A FRIEND IN THESE FORSAKEN LANDS!!!"
You yelled with so much hatred and grief that you even shed a few tears that dropped onto the floor with sparkles in them, but you coldly wiped your eyes ridding of any more.
And with that final action, you cocked your shotgun with vicious and sanguinary intent.
"SO PREPARE YOURSELVES, BECAUSE THIS CRUSADE IS FOR ALL THOSE MONTHS OF BLEEDING I WILL NEVER GET BACK FROM MY LIFE!"

Some time ago, in Mondstadt:
It had become an oddly frequent occurrence for the Anemo Archon to stand in Jean’s office. What's worse, she didn't know if she was the only person in the room to think so.
While she abruptly stood up from her chair, Diluc and Lisa barely acknowledged the bard. Both looked up for a moment, only to focus their attention back on whatever they were doing prior.
"Ah! Well if it isn't the beloved Knights of Favonious. You know, I would've come sooner if I could!" Venti trips as he stumbles through the door. "Ah, I'll never get used to that. Excuse me—" his tone shifts an octave higher before lowering again into an eager voice. "Where are they?"
"Who...?"
"Oh, Grand Master Jean. Of course I mean the Creator, who else would've been able to steal the winds from the Anemo Archon?"
His statement seems to catch the attention of both Lisa and Diluc, although the former was much more slick about it. With all eyes on him, Venti falls silent, looking around in a daze. It is only after he stands still that Jean notices the bottle of wine in his left hand, and the two wine glasses in his right.
"Uhm. Hello?" Venti lets out a bubbly laugh that seems unfit for the situation. "I get it, the Creator must've spooked you more then they did me, but uhm." He holds up the items in his hands. "We got loooots of stuff to catch up on, and I'd rather start sooner than later if I want to wrap up the events pertaining to the last five centuries."
"The Creator…?" Jean hesitantly looks at Diluc and Lisa. She's not sure if she's seeking confirmation more than forgiveness.
Please, for the love of the Archons, please let the imposter not turn out to be the True One.
Venti raises an eyebrow, scanning the room from Jean to Diluc, to Lisa, and back to Diluc, until finally settling on Jean. “Uh, yeah? Did you not welcome them? I can practically feel their energy overflowing this space."
He gestures with the wine bottle around the room, and Jean is certain she'll have a heart attack any minute now.
"The... Creator."
She plops down into the chair, a gesture of defeat, silently resigning herself to the idea that the real deal had been right in front of her this whole time, and heavily regretting how she considered locking them up. As the Acting Grand Master this is bound to cause the reputation of Mondstadt to fall, not to mention her own betrayal towards the  Creator of everything.
Venti purses his lips as he watches Jean. he shifts his weight from leg to leg, "Uh-oh. That doesn't sound good."
Diluc (praise his soul) helps to divert the attention from Jean when he speaks up, "You mean, Kaeya was right?" He sounds annoyed and bewildered, "That can't be. Surely the real-"
Diluc stops when his eyes land on the somewhat silly looking Archon. He remembers that he never suspected the Anemo Archon to be drinking in his own tavern prior to the Dvalin fallout. So perhaps if an Archon can mingle with their people unnoticed, the Creator could–in theory, too.
Diluc gestures somewhat difficulty into the air. "Well."
"Well? " Venti mimics him.
"It's a difficult situation," the redhead grunts out, flustered by the fast paced conversation and information thrown at his head. Diluc crosses his arms as a scowl settles on his face.
Venti huffs. "More difficult than dealing with the abyss order and Dvalin when he was corrupted?" he turns around in his place, "surely it can't be that bad. I've only been away for half a week—and I would've been faster if our beloved Creator gave me a notice." He lets out a cheeky laugh accompanied by a wink and plops down into the chair across from Jean. He then carelessly drops the two glasses and wine bottle onto the surface of the desk separating them both. Jean now realizes that the extra glass was meant for the Creator.
The Creator of Teyvat, the one she had thought to be an imposter and nearly banished from Mondstadt.
She pulls her fingers through her hair and faintly prays, "Dear Barbatos–"
"Oh? You're ready to talk now?" Venti responds as he makes himself more comfortable in the chair. While everyone else seemed tense, he appeared unbothered by the whole ordeal. Probably, because he still believed the Creator to be around. Would he understand Jean’s misunderstanding if she told him what had occurred?
Lisa’s voice chimes over her doom-filled thoughts. "Give her a moment. It's safe to say we're all catching up to the fact that the ‘imposter’ turned out to be the True One."
Venti furrows his eyebrows. "Huh." New information seems to solve a riddle in his mind. When he speaks next, it's more to himself then anyone else, "I suppose that'd make sense why I'm not able to pinpoint their aura." He then speaks to Jean, “So what did you do?”
It wasn’t a question filled with judgement towards her. The tone of his voice was bubbly, as always, and filled with genuine curiosity—though, Jean could feel the concern rise in his words.
“I am not certain what happened before they reached Mondstadt,” she starts to pile the events in her mind and decides to soften the blow, “–but, ‘the Creator’ seemingly appeared out of no where at the gates. No one, aside from Kaeya and Albedo, were able to sense their aura. If the two tell the truth, Kaeya sent the Creator to Dragonspine when chaos began to rise within the headquarters, and only a day later, the Creator disappeared without a trace once more.”
Diluc adds to her story, “When I spoke with Eula and Kaeya, they believed they had seen a second Albedo before the Creator disappeared.” He hesitates for a moment, “Could this be related? Or could everything be explained with malfunctioning ley lines?”
Jean watches as Venti taps his fingers against the armrest. He slings his legs up and down and nods to himself. “This is certainly a first for me as well. Sure, the Creator has some magnificent powers, but I still can’t explain why they’d appear so suddenly, not to mention the strange events surrounding their descent.”
He opens his eyes and stares into the window behind Jean. There is an odd expression on his face, one that she can’t read.
Venti's next words are once again in a bubbly tone, the earlier melancholy washed away by newfound determination. “Seems like it’s our task to uncover what exactly is going on!” Venti jumps up and reaches for the wine bottle and glasses. “One thing I’m sure of is that you met the real Creator. Now, we just need to find out where they disappeared to.”
Diluc mutters in a tired tone, “That sounds easier said than done.”
Venti shrugs. “Last time we teamed up, we solved the mystery of Dvalin. I’m confident we’ll solve this mystery as well! In the meantime, I’ll be pulling my own strings. If I happen to find a clue, you’re the first ones to know.”
He winks at Jean, and the stress morphs into resolve. It’s awfully frustrating to have all these events happen without her ever being present. All the clues she has, are told by other people. If she wanted to find the Creator, she will have to rely on the other people in this room.
When the Archon leaves with a wave, she sends a small one back.
“So.” Diluc crosses his arms, “What are you going to do?”
Jean averts her eyes before she finds his gaze again. “We cannot ask Kaeya for help. At least not while he’s recovering.”
From the short distance in the room, Jean hears Diluc release a frustrated sigh. “I’ll try to ask my own contacts and see if they’ve seen anything out of the ordinary. However, I believe it’s best to keep this between us three.”Diluc rubs his temple. “If this information falls into the wrong hands, who knows what they’ll do. The Creator has been gone for five centuries. Whatever is happening now, it can’t be good.”
In the corner of her eye, Jean sees Lisa nod in agreement. She, too, agrees with Diluc. Jean nods. “Then we’ll wait for your return.” When the brunette faces turns her head, Jean speaks directly to her. “Can you keep an eye on Kaeya for now? I don’t think he’ll do anything to our disadvantage, but I have a feeling he won’t give up on finding the Creator once he’s better.”
“Of course.”
Lisa lets out a warm chuckle, a sound that suggests she's concealing her own thoughts and opinions on the matter—something she’ll likely share once Diluc has left.
“Alright then.” Diluc purses his lips and gives Jean a firm nod. “I’ll keep in touch.”
“Be safe, Master Diluc.” Jean calls out to him as he closes the door. Although the situation is less than comfortable, she feels safer knowing she can trust on the people around her.
And so, she waits—until one of her three confidants have found a lead.
Tumblr media
When Jean received a letter from Diluc only a day later with an urgent request to meet up, Jean felt her life shatter at her feet. Time seemed to pass antagonisingly slow as she waited for Diluc. In the end, it took only a few hours for him to arrive at her office—it really hadn’t made sense for her to worry as much as she did. Still, the urgency he noted in his letter made her feel off about the whole meeting.
Diluc never sits down in the chair across from Jean. A habit, or perhaps he felt too awkward, and considering he had a past with the Knights of Favonius—the latter made more sense. Either way, Jean is forced to follow his pacing form shift around the room. Without Lisa, the atmosphere between the two was more relaxed, and Diluc is able to speak more freely.
“I’m planning on visiting Liyue myself. Because of the wine industry, I could enter the city on business terms even with the lockdown.” Diluc speaks his thoughts out loud, and the words are said as a statement. He never directly asks for Jean’s opinion or her approval, which he doesn’t need, but it still makes her feel out of control.
Jean clears her throat as subtly as she can before easing into the one sided conversation of Diluc which started after he told her about Rex Lapis' passing. “Why don’t you take one of the Knights?“
She would have offered to go herself, but with her title, she was bound to Mondstadt. She watches Diluc abruptly stop as she pulls him out of his train of thoughts. His eyes sharpen for a moment, eyebrows lowering, and his mouth opens before quickly changing his mind and relaxing when his eyes meet hers.
He hangs his head low and sighs. “I’d rather not.“
“Diluc,“ He looks up when she calls out his name, “I don’t doubt your strengths, but with the return of the Creator and the death of an Archon, this problem might be beyond our own limits. We should not act hastily.”
His face sours again. “You’re right, and it’s exactly why I won’t let some rookie Knight waddle into Liyue without any knowledge of what’s happening. Whoever you’re thinking of sending, he’ll only burden me.”
Jean purses her lips together, not missing the words he chose. Even without communicating, the two had been thinking about the same person.
He speaks again, “I need you to stay here and keep watch of Mondstadt while I’m gone. I’ll be leaving in a few days after I’ve gotten everything in order.” He crosses his arms, eyes softening despite the serious expression on his face, “I will contact you if I know more.”
Hopeless and without power, she watches Diluc exit as fiercely as he had entered her office. Nowadays, it seemed common for him to stir fires and leave as he unknowingly lets them fester into an inferno.
It had seemed so easy and petty to send her own battalion of Knights while Diluc was still preparing for the trip, but she knew he was right. Only a few people were suited to go to Liyue, and Diluc was one of the two.
Tumblr media
The warm steam of the tea in front of Jean swirls upwards and around the room, spreading a soft floral scent that relaxes her despite the stress that she should be feeling. Lisa, who sits across from her, smiles as she watches the tension elevate from Jean’s shoulders. While it wasn’t uncommon for her to bring in tea for the Acting Grand Master, it was uncommon for Jean to nearly doze off in the comfort.
“Oh dear,” Lisa puts her hand in front of her mouth in a cheeky motion, “If anyone were to enter they’d surely think we’d be slacking off.”
A frustrated sigh escapes Jean’s lips and the tension returns to her body. “I doubt anyone would. They’re all still in the belief of the era of peace. The worst reports I’ve been getting as of late consist of inebriated citizens making too much noise after dark or cats being stuck on roofs.”
Lisa can’t help the chuckle escape her lips. Sometimes it felt like she enjoyed seeing people twist and turn in discomfort, but Jean knew better.
“Have you gotten any news on Kaeya?”
The brunette brings her teacup to her lips before setting it down again. “It’s hard to tell what he is actually thinking, but he seems to be back to normal. Earlier today, I saw him enter Angel’s Share.”
“What…?” Jean sits upright and raises an eyebrow. “This early? Isn’t he supposed to patrol until the evening? Has anyone taken over his shift?”
Calm and collected as always, Lisa pushes the porcelain cup in Jean’s direction, a silent reminder for her to relax once more. “It’ll be alright. The abyss order is no longer a problem, and we shouldn’t act like there is one either.” She tilts her head, and a strand of brown hair falls onto her cheek, “For the people it is important to see the Grand Master at ease.”
“Acting— ” Jean mutters out, “Acting Grand Master.”
The tea in front of her has cooled down to a comfortable temperature, and she brings it up to her lips. It had been a couple of days since she had gotten proper sleep and regular meals. Perhaps Lisa had been right, but with Diluc leaving the city tomorrow, she continues to feel restless.
With only Lisa in the room, Jean lets her body slack in the chair. Papers that were due had been pushed to the corners of her desk, making place for the two, now empty, cups of tea. There was so much to do, but everything felt insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
These moments of silence are the only thing keeping her sane, and she appreciates how Lisa seems to gift it to her every day. If the world were more forgiving, it’d given her more time to rest, alas everyone seems to enter her office in a whirlwind nowadays.
As the door is slammed open, Jean fumbles to make herself look presentable.
Out of all people...
“Kaeya?!”
The Cavalry Captain skips any greeting and goes straight to the point as he closes the door behind him. “I have some valuable information.” He walks closer, standing upright next to Lisa, who seems too immersed in her book to acknowledge him. He continues, “I know it might seem like a false rumor, useless gossip—if you may,” His voice falters for a second, his smile falling before reappearing, “but if the news is true, it’d give us an edge.”
Lisa continues to hold her book up, but Jean can see how her eyes have moved up. While she appears unbothered, she is most certainly curious about this tidbit.
Jean watches him carefully. “What news?”
He leans in closer, his voice lower, careful. “Some Fatui were talking about the passing of the Geo Archon.”
From the inside, Jean feels a wave of relief washes over her. When he had entered the room in such an unsuspecting way, she had expected yet another big problem to be shoved into her lap.
She crosses her legs and inhales sharply as she looks up at him. “We know.”
“You know?” His expression turns into genuine shock, something many people will never see on Kaeya’s face.
From the corner of Jean’s eye, she can see Lisa resist a chuckle. “I assume you didn’t get this information from the streets? Say, what were you doing in Angel’s share during work hours?” Her forest green eyes move up to him and he dramatically puts a hand on his hip.
“Gathering intel, as you heard. Though, it seems to be old intel for you.”
Kaeya leans his hand onto Lisa’s chair before he shifts his weight once more. He tries to hide it, but with the confirmation of the intel being true, he is filled with more questions than answers. And instead of asking any, he dances around it.
“I know you don’t believe me, really, I don’t blame you.” He stops for a moment, putting his hand on his chest, “But now with the death of Rex Lapis? Something must be wrong.”
Jean remembers that he still believes that he and Albedo are the only ones to feel the Creator’s aura, and thus their identity. If he hadn’t acted on his own earlier—had he known about Venti—she might’ve told him.
Before she can do anything, Lisa swiftly acts out and calls out her name. Jean hums, listening to what follows, “Perhaps it would be time to send a diplomat to assess the situation in Liyue,” and the reasoning she gives afterward forces Jean into a corner.
Kaeya, too, joins in to further pressure her. It is after Lisa continues to push Jean, suggesting to send him, that she finally gives in—hoping her beloved librarian has more than an impulse in mind.
“Okay,” Jean watches Kaeya’s eye brighten, “but you need to take Diluc with you.”
The smile on his face falters. ”Diluc, really?”
”He was the one who told me about Liyue’s predicament, and he is more than capable of handling situations like these.”
Perhaps Lisa made the right move to push her in this direction. She still felt unsettled with Diluc leaving on his own. If Kaeya were to go with him, he’d be prevented from doing anything reckless by himself, and in return, Diluc would keep an close eye on Kaeya.
While it might seem like a punishment to both, it would’ve been the best course of action for Jean. She watches as Kaeya starts to give in, uttering a ‘fine’ in agreement.
With a lighter feeling in her chest knowing Diluc would at least not be alone, she asks Kaeya to keep contact, just like Diluc would. If she couldn’t investigate herself, she would have to rely on others, and two had been better than one in this case.
When Kaeya finally shuts the door, Jean looks back at Lisa who moves back into the chair across from her. When her bright eyes meet Jean, she is sent a warm smile. It is supposed to ease her, but doubt eventually settles in her mind regardless.
“Did you really think it was wise to send him?” Jean hopes for a simple ‘yes’ in reply.
The librarian leans back into the chair, crossing her legs comfortably once she’s settled, and calmly sighing. “If he stays here, he’ll pry until he figures it out.” Lisa turns a finger in the air. “And I do believe Diluc would keep a close eye on him for us.”
Jean sighs. “Still…”
If there was something wrong, would Kaeya suffice with Diluc?
“Don’t worry so much,” Lisa places her hand over Jean’s. “We’ll figure out what’s going on.”
When a soft breeze enters her office, Jean is reminded of someone.
“Have you heard anything of Venti?” Lisa asks.
She shakes her head. “If what he said about his power still counts, it might take a while.”
If she thought too much about it, it seemed as if the world itself was trying to prevent its people from finding out what was true and what was not.
“Should I brew some more tea?” Lisa asks at last.
Jean nods, her previous thoughts forgotten in the wind.

Freedom or Anarchy? Part 2 of 2
Cw: cringe, swears, innuendos. Mondstadt arc has concluded. Next chapter will hopefully be out by Monday. (Expect Monday or Tuesday)
‘Where am I?’
‘What happened to me?’
‘I wanna go home!’
“Time to get up.” You hear someone call. The voice sounds familiar, deep and most likely male (you don’t want to assume).
You open your eyes and see blue. You’re still groggy from Albedo’s tea so you can’t really stand. Someone picks you up, supporting you under your legs and you back.
‘Hang on, if this is Mondstadt… the only man with blue here is.’ “Kae…ya?” You say groggily.
“She speaks… or are you a he? Hard to tell.” He sets you down on a couch in an office.
“This is the terrorist Albedo gave us?” Lisa asks. You can’t quite move but you aren’t as tired as before.
“We’ll have to tie… him? Her? …Ah up! Tie up the terrorist.” Jean says.
“Them… I’m gender fluid. I go by them. Sometimes I’m a he, sometimes I’m a she. But my pronouns are always them.”
“Well, at least we’re getting answers.” Lisa giggles.
You say as Kaeya binds your wrists and ankles with rope. You lean forward onto him and whisper to only him. “Tighter, daddy~”
“Sky, where did you say that Light and Paimon ran off to?” Kaeya asks, embarrassed and blushing.
“We’ve met Barbatos, they went off to find him.” Aether says. That’s right, the twins didn’t tell anybody their real names.
“We’re back! And we’ve brought a friend!” Paimon cheers.
“Obviously this goes without saying but no one can mention this man’s true identity, okay.” Jean states with a harsh tone that you’ve never heard from her before. Everyone nods, except for you.
Venti walks towards you and you look at him. “Are you the one Celestia fears?”
“I have no idea what that means.”
“The descender, the honored one, the adored one. Do any of these names ring a bell?”
“No?”
“Do not lie to me! Albedo said-”
“Why the F you lyin’~ why you always lyin’~”
“…”
“Sorry I have a tendency to reference memes and vines. I’m Gen Z, it’s a part of who we are. I’m kidding, I think that’s just me.”
“So the Adored One has a name, Jen.”
“No that’s-”
“And these “Me-ms” and “vines” must be your sacred texts! You’re a nature spirit aren’t you!”
“No! And for the record I don’t think you are a god!”
“Wow, the honored one looks down upon me.”
“Boys, Girls, and squirrels, listen up! Because I’ll only say this once. I’m not from this world. I want to go home. The world I come from none of you are real.”
“Honored one, saying “Boys, Girls, and squirrels” doesn’t help your claim that you aren’t a nature spirit.”
“Oh for Shucks sake. Actually can I swear in here? I don’t think so. Hell! Bullshit! Kaeya’s tight Ass! Lisa’s big boobies! Mmhmm boobies~” you start to laugh maniacally. “I need to be put in a mental hospital.”
“Oh for the love of-” Lumine cuts herself off and goes up to you then shakes your. “Pull yourself together long enough for us to get answers.”
“Right, right. I’m just a college kid who majored in computer science and engineering. The world I come from you all are a game and I hacked into your code which brought me here. That “Boys, Girls, and squirrels” comment comes from a YouTuber I watch semi frequently.”
(A/n: Danny Motta is his name. He’s pretty funny. Go check him out)
“How’d you heal Stormterror then.” Aether asked.
“The sustainer of heavenly principles gave me her powers.”
“So… none of us are real?” Amber asks.
“Well, I don’t know how I’d be here if you guys weren’t real but to me you’re just a game. Any of you can be killed and revived at the Statue of the Seven.”
“I suppose that does poke holes in my credibility as an archon.” Venti twiddles his thumbs.
“Can I please leave now? I can take Dvalin with me and we can just leave.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. If Stormterror is still enraged we can’t let him destroy other nations. It could spark an all out war.” Jean says.
“What if we let them stay at that broken down building?” Aether suggests.
“I still think that we should keep Jen here just in case Stormterror gets any more ideas about attacking Mondstadt.”
“So we use Jen as a bargaining chip?” Lumine chimes in.
“Exactly.”
“Okay if you guys are going to call me Jen can you at least make it Gen with a G? I want to be different.”
“But Jean! Isn’t that basically asking Stormterror for a fight?”
“Amber’s right Jean. If we’re going to keep them here we’ll need a plan to tame Stormterror.” Lisa says.
“I’ll tame him.” Venti says assuredly. “We just have to keep them here long enough for me to calm him down.”
“BARBATOS!” Dvalin calls from outside. “GIVE ME BACK WHATS MINE!”
“Everyone! To your stations! Protect the city at all costs!” Jean shouts and everyone rushes from the room.
“Shit! I have to get out of here!”
“Master Jean! I’m scared!” Klee runs into the office.
“Klee! Perfect timing, I’m your brother’s friend.”
“Your big brother Albedo’s friend? Why are you tied up?”
“It’s a long story. Right now I need you to untie me so I can save everyone.”
“You can do that? I don’t know, usually only bad people are tied up.”
“No no! Klee it’s more complicated. You want to save Albedo and Jean and Kaeya, Lisa, Amber, Razor and everyone else right? Then you have to untie me so I can make Stormterror go away.”
“How do I know that you aren’t lying?”
‘If gold knows me. Chances are Alice will too.’ “Your mom knows me. I’m the adored one. You can ask her about me.”
“Mom knows you?”
“Yeah, and you know about Albedos secret lab in the mountains right? I’ve been there. He told me about how much he cared about you.”
“You’ve gone there?! You really do know Albedo. Okay!” She comes over and unties you.
“Thanks.” You go over to the window, open it up and shout. “Dvalin!” He comes rushing to you at your cry and you jump out the window and grab onto his tail.
He flies towards the woods and you land in a stone arena. “Andrius! I need a favor.”
“What could the East Wind possibly want from me?”
“Protect the Adored one at all costs.
“How can this puny human be the Adored one?”
As the two bicker you quietly sneak away. As you climb out of the arena you stop when you see black boots and look up.
“Who are you.” Diluc looks down at you.
“I am iron man.”
“Iron man?” Dvalin roses as he and Andrius start to brawl.
“Can you get me out of here?”
“Are you the one rumored to have healed Stormterror?”
“Maybe.”
“Come on.” He grabs your arm and hoists you up. He then picks you up and throws you over his shoulder and starts to run.
“Hey! Am I just a sack of potatoes to you?”
“Quiet down or they’ll hear us.” He runs and runs until you two get to a water bank. “Follow this past west and you’ll be in Liyue.” He tells you as he sets you down.
“Oh wow. My own dark knight. How romantic. Well for saving the fair ward of the dragon you get a kiss, as a reward.”
“No thank you.” He grimaces at you.
“Oh come on! I was promised debauchery! You’re no fun.”
“Just leave.”
“Thanks for saving me! I’m coming back for that kiss though!” You say as you run off.
‘Hot dragon archon here I come! Please be like a lizard and have two co-‘

𝖯𝗋𝗈𝗅𝗈𝗀𝗎𝖾, 𝙰𝚌𝚝 𝙸𝙸: Honorary Knights
First Chapter | Last Chapter | Next Chapter
𝗉𝗋𝗈𝗈𝖿𝗋𝖾𝖺𝖽 𝖻𝗒 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋𝗌 𝗍𝗋𝗎𝗅𝗒. 𝚆𝚘𝚛𝚍 𝙲𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝:2430
Authors note: Sup, how's everyone's day? Amazing as usual I presume? Anywho- I've been trying out this new style of drawing as mine solidifies. Also, I've realized that if I make less drawings with colors these chapters go a lot faster because I can't continue writing if I have an idea for a scene. I NEED to finish the drawing then go back to writing (It's rare if I continue writing after an idea).
Tumblr media
A week has passed since I discovered I was in a game.
Sirius helped clear the final temple, returning Mondstadt's elemental flow back to normal after a week straight of work. Paimon and he were on their way to Acting Grand Master Jean to report the good news.
Unfortunately for me, I happen to be walking in the same direction to renew the book I borrowed from librarian Lisa, lest she comes looking for me if I don’t inform her I need more time with it.
Talk about bad luck.
“So, [Name], what’s new? Do you have something interesting to tell us?” Paimon questioned me.
“Nope. Got nothing new,” I did not look at her when I said that.
She stumps her little foot in the air. “What? What about that book you’ve been reading?! Have you not learned anything new after a week of reading it!?”
“Well, it’s nothing new for you. But it’s new for me. Lost memories, remember?”
“...What is the book about anyway?” She asked instead of responding to me.
“Teyvat’s history. I finished reading it, and I’m getting another one. This one was a very old edition.”
“Is Teyvat’s history that interesting to you?”
“Yes, very,” I nod. “What about you two? Anything else besides reporting back to Master Jean?”
“I wanted to ask them about the teardrop we found in the forest,” Aether responded. “It was left behind by Stormterror, so maybe they know what it is.”
“Good thinking! It could also help us deal with stormterror easier.”
Reaching the Knight's Headquarters, we saw Master Jean who appeared to be talking with someone.
“Look, it’s Jean!” Paimon pointed at her. “Who is she talking to?”
She seems to be talking to a woman. She had a black outfit with purple here and there; her hair a burned-blonde, bangs that rested right above her eyebrows; her face hidden behind a gray mask.
She spelled trouble through-and-through.
“Don’t know. But I have a gut feeling that she’s no good,” I said, eyeing her with distrust.
“Let’s wait for her to finish,” Sirius said. “We can wait on the side over here. I don’t want to be in the middle of the street.”
As we waited, we saw the frustration from both ends of the party. Jean looked adamant about her position, while the masked woman seemed to be irritated; she looked like she was trying hard to convince Jean to whatever she wanted from her.
I remember this part of the story. Jean gets pressured by a Fatui agent –a Snezhnayan diplomat– Anastasia, to kill Dvalin. Amalia warned me about them:
“Never. Ever. Trust the Fatui.”
Tumblr media
The scary part about that was how she looked dead serious. Before then, I had never seen that side of her. The fact she changed so quickly too… I got nightmares for a month straight; Amalia would come in and tell me how I was a bad friend.
Ahg, I get shivers just thinking about it…  I looked back at two political figures. I’ll trust Amalia and my gut feeling about the Fatui. Note to self: “Don’t talk to the Fatui.”
“Looks like she’s done talking to that person!” Paimon announced. “Let’s go talk to her.”
Jean’s gaze followed the masked woman, face laced with worry. Her eyes then darted towards us as we got in her peripheral view.
“Oh, Traveler, you're back,” she noticed I was with him, “and company… Is she the one you and Amber were talking about?”
“Yup!” Paimon confirmed. “This is [Name], our traveler buddy and official cook!” Her eyes sparkled at the mention of cooking.
I sighed, turning my attention to Jean. I smiled, “It’s a pleasure to meet you Master Jean.”
“Likewise,” she reciprocated the smile.
“Now that everyone is acquainted, Paimon has to ask. Who was that just now?”
“First, I would like to thank you,” she looked at Sirius, “Lisa informed me that the elemental flow is finally stable because of your help, and skill. For that, you have Mondstadt’s gratitude.”
Sirius scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed for getting compliments.
“Is someone getting shy now?~” Paimon teased.
“Leave him alone Paimon. He actually did something, unlike someone.”
“I told you, Paimon is moral support, moral support!”
“Anyway–” Jean intervened before she had to break up a fight, “the aftermath of Stormterror’s last attack is finally settled for the moment. But not the pressure from the delegation, in fact, it has become too big to ignore.”
“Delegation? From Liyue, or Inazuma City?” Paimon asked.
“Snezhnaya,” she paused and then continued, “they choose to follow the god of Cryo. Their envoys go by a particular name: The Fatiu. Heard of them?”
“Are you kidding? They are famous! Wait, infamous is more of the word.”
“Let me guess, the Fatui wants to take Stormterror down, right?” I said fully knowing the answer to the question.
“Correct. I don’t think killing Stormterro will do anyone any good, nor do I think it’s the right action to take. The Cryo god’s Fatui have always coveted the Anemo god’s power.” She had the same worried face I saw when the Fatui woman left, “I don’t believe they have Mondstatd’s best interest at heart.” I nod in agreement.
“Speaking of power…” Sirius began.
“What is it?”
“I have something I need to show the Knights,” he finished.
“Oh? Then let us go inside the Headquarter. We shouldn't discuss important matters…” she looked around, “out in the open.”
Jean led us inside. Before I stepped foot inside her office I stopped. Jean noticed and turned to see if everything was fine.
“Sorry guys, I need to return this book to Lisa,” I said from just outside the office.
“I see,” she understood and said nothing else about it, she knew how Lisa could be when a book was missing. “Before you go, could you do me a favor?”
“Yes. What is the favor?”
“Once you’re done, tell Lisa to come to my office please. We might need her.”
“Okay, I’ll tell her,” Jean closed the door dismissing me. I skipped a few steps to reach the other side of the building faster.
I opened the door to the library and went in. I looked at the front desk only to find it empty.
Lisa’s not there… Maybe she’s over here. I walked through the first floor, but no Lisa in sight.
Not here either… Going downstairs, I ran through the whole floor as there wasn’t anyone in the room, yet she wasn’t there either.
Where is she!? I yelled internally. So, she can miss a day, but we can’t? Talk about unfairness.
“Hi, darling.”
“AHHHHH!” I turned around but managed to slip due to a paper on the floor. “Ouf–! Awo! That hurt…!” rubbing my butt, the voice reached out their hand to help me up. I looked up and saw, the one-and-only, Lisa!
“Oh, dear, are you alright?” I took her hand and responded.
“Yeah, I’m fine…” I lied. My butt still hurts.
“You keep on getting scared whenever I greet you. I’m not that scary to you, am I?” She sounded hurt asking that.
I rolled my eyes. You look harmless, but you’re a rose with pesky thorns… That’s what Amalia has said anyway.
“Of course not, miss Lisa,” I dismissed her. I faked an innocent smile and said, “You look average to me.”
Tumblr media
It looked like an arrow had hit her bullseye in the heart. She was mumbling how cruel youngsters are nowadays, and how, begin quote, ‘her beauty is fading because of her age,’ end quote.
I didn’t mean my comment obviously. I only said that to get back at her for the two times she’s given me a heart attack. She looks young for her age, that’s for sure.
“What are you back here for, returning the book I presume?” She asked me, leaving behind the commentary I made like I never said it in the first place.
“Yes, you see, the one I have is outdated–a century outdated to be precise–of the history of Teyvat,” I explained.
She hummed, “yes, I remember. I found it quite odd that you wanted to read such an old book. Now I know why.” She turned and waved her hand in a follow-me motion, “Come, I know exactly where the newer version is.”
We moved to the section that Amber showed me when I came here last time. Looking at it now, the history section was much bigger than I remembered.
“Here it is!” Lisa handed me a book. “This is the newest version, it came out a year ago.”
“Thank you again, miss Lisa,” I thanked her as I eyed the book.
I wonder what they added.
“Please, this is nothing compared to the work I had to do the past week,” she rubbed her shoulders. “Taking care of the Temples of the Four Winds was more of a hassle than I had imagined.”
We walked up the stairs and stood by the front desk.
“You’re being too modest. Thanks to you and the others, Mondsatdt has one less thing to worry about.”
“Thank you again, sweet-pie,” she smiled. “I checked out the book already, so you’re as free as a bird.”
“Thank you,” I lightly vowed and walked toward the door.
!
I almost forgot!
“Oh! Miss Lisa?”
“Yes?”
“Master Jean asked for you, she is in her office.”
“Ah, thank you for informing me. Now shoo, off you go,” she pushed me out of the library as she herself went out, locking it with a key after she made sure there was no one else inside.
“[Name], if you ever find yourself unable to find a quiet place to read, go to windrise. It was nice weather, and if you’re lucky, you’ll hear the soft strumming of a lyre.”
“Thank you for the advice,” I thanked her for the third time today. I walked out of the Headquarters and made my way to find a place to sit and read.
I can go to Windrise like Lisa suggested, I looked up to the blue, and the sky is clear. Oh! There is a Statue of the Seven there! I can try and obtain powers similar to how the MC did in the game— well, better said how Sirius did. Plus, there is a big space to test out the System.
The air near the sea is the best… I breached in the air.
I basked in the atmosphere underneath the massive oak tree, the symbol of Mondstadt’s hero – Vannessa.
The trail from Mondstadt City to Windrise was perfect. Not a single monster interfered, with a few slimes that minded their own business when I passed by. It was a bit strange, since I remembered they attacked on sight. But, this is the world of Genshin, some things are bound to change.
“All right, time to get to work. System!”
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry, I can’t make a proper analysis at the moment,” Lisa said.
“Huh? But Paimon thought you were able to see some impurities.”
“Correct. But it’s not enough for me to come to a conclusion,” she turned to Jean and Sirius, “give me some time. I’ll take a look through the library's restricted section.”
Jean nods. “I’ll leave all the research to you then, Lisa,” she looks at the outlanders.
“I’ll notify you all if I make any progress,” she went closer to the crystal, “thought I wouldn’t go getting your hopes up. They are incredibly ancient texts, not to mention—Ouch!” Lisa retracted her hand from the object as the force of the impurities hurt her. “Gosh, that hurt!”
“Are you okay?” Jean worriedly asked, checking her friend from any injuries. The other two were just as concerned.
“Now, now, you three are looking at me like I’m half-dead. I’m fine. The impurities in the crystal…” she looked at it before continuing, “it hurts when I get close…” She hummed in thought. “It appears to react to Visions, repealing it even.”
“What? How can that happen?” Paimon asked.
“I’m not going over the details, if not we'll be here for days-on-end. All you need to know is that the impurities and the elemental energy we embody repel each other.”
“Really?” She looked at Sirius, “then why is he able to hold it?”
“That is a good question, and a question I don’t have the answer to, unfortunately.”
“...” Sirius stayed silent through the whole interaction. What could be in his mind?
“Anyway, the crystal would be better left in the hands of my cutie,” Sirius places the crystal back in his bag. “It will be a pain if left with – both literally and metaphorically.”
“Okay. I will keep it.”
“Fascinating… Do you know anything about what makes you special?” Jean asks Sirius in wonder. He nods in solidarity.
“Well, that's the end of that,” Paimon said.
“Traveler…” Jean called, “the knights of Favonius have another favor to ask of you. Please accept the title of honorary Knight and the gratitude of the Acting grand Master.”
“Honorary Knight…of Favonius?!” Paimon gave Sirius a smirk, “look at you go. You just arrived in Mondstadt and already have a super cool title! Paimon is impressed.” Sirius puffed his chest with pride.
Tumblr media
“We gotta tell [Name] once we see her. Oouu, she’s going to make that angry face again, Paimon can just tell!” she says excitedly with a small fire in her eyes when she thinks of your face.
“Then this is a meeting concluded,” Jean dismissed then. “We’ll meet back here if you find anything.”
“Okey-Dokey! Let’s go!” Paimon and Sirius walk out of the office leaving Lisa and Master Jean alone.
“What peculiar little creatures they all are…”
“What are you mumbling about?” Jean inquired after hearing Lisa mumble.
“Oh, nothing. Just complaining about how I haven’t had a proper nap since the incident with stormterror started,” she lied.
“Don’t worry. Soon, we can all rest properly,” Jean reassured.
A little far from the Knight’s Headquarter…
“Okay, we’re far from the knights to hear us,” Paimon stands–floats–in front of Sirius, making him stop. “There’s something you didn't tell them. The boy. The one that communicated with the dragon, kinda hard to miss.”
“I know, Paimon. But I’d like to investigate on my own first,” Sirius explained to her. “And I don’t think he’s a bad guy.”
“So you do remember him,” a boy in green caught her eyes, “he looked just like the guy down there!” Sirius looked at the guy Paimon pointed at.
“The exact same shade of green, what a coincidence. Seems like green is a popular color.”
“See? See? Wait… Hold on a minute… that… that's the same guy!”
“Hmm… looks like him,” he said nonchalantly.
“Stop joking around and let’s go after him!”

the 'evil imposter' just wants to be a baker!
Prologue: The Foodie turned Imposter?!
Part 3: Mint Tea
[ part 2 ] || [ masterlist ] || [ part 4 ]
divider is made by @/saradika-graphics
Tumblr media
After that bone chilling scream, what happened next was a blur. Vaguely you remembering forcing yourself to run to the windows, crashing through it as you landed outside and behind the headquarters of the knights of Favonious, you stared in fear when a purple hue shone above you, Lisa was ready to hurt you again with her electro powers but-
Thawk!
A flying chair was hurled towards her and hit her straight in the face! you would have laughed but the pain from being electrocuted made you cry, your body was shaking from the immense pain, Lisa was powerful despite what you saw in-game.
The next thing you knew, you heard footsteps and yells from approaching knights, you had nowhere else to go but. .
As Jean ran to the window, the last thing she saw was you, meeting your gaze for a moment and then. . you hurled yourself off the wall and into the lake that had surrounded mondstadt.
The winds that Stormterror brew was stronger than before, as if he was irked more than usual. Perhaps that was the cause of the presence of the imposter, someone so villainous to even try and imitate the divine. .
Still. .
terrified [color] eyes and cold gray blue eyes met only for a moment, the acting grandmaster faltered, hesitated for a moment to yell out orders when she felt something pierce her heart.
she clenched the fabric just above her chest, the pain lessened but it still lingered. . .
𓂃 ོ𓂃𓅩𓂃 ོ𓂃
Burning,
then drowning,
and last, darkness.
Those were the last things your body experienced before finally giving in.
Afraid, Sadness, Confusion. . betrayal.
Those were the feelings that haunted you in your final waking moments.
As you were unconscious, you were susceptible to the nightmares that formed from your experience, like you were trapped in that same scenario in that damned office.
Labelled as an imposter, your life almost being taken, and being struck by powerful lightning, or rather electro. The feeling of being struck by such. . otherworldly power, it felt like being burned and drowning all together at the same time. It left your muscles sore and stiff, you were sure the librarian's attacks would leave scars on your skin.
Stirring awake you sat up, you hadn't been unconscious for long as your clothes were still very much wet. In the struggle of fighting the waters to not drown, your cinnamoroll slippers were lost, perhaps now at the bottom of the lake. The only thing you had left was the same sword Jean pointed at you, the same sword she had almost used to take your life.
A part of you wanted to throw it, discard it some place she'd never be able to find. But you couldn't, not out of guilty but out of exhaustion and the need for a weapon to defend yourself with.
The winds caressed you gently, letting the tears that left your eyes be carried away by the wind.
What hope and respect you had for those characters seemed to slowly die, your comfort game now felt like a prison, it felt like you were in a survival game with all these odds stacked against you.
What crime did you commit to warrant your life to be targeted and taken away from your grasps?
You stomach growled, ah. . "I'm hungry. ." you hugged yourself as you sobbed, the overwhelming feelings you tried to hold back and bottle up were now surging from the broken damn that was your hope. That same hope that was shattered by the knights of favonious, by Jean and Lisa. You wondered if the other characters will treat you in a similar fashion, or maybe even worse.
You ended up falling asleep once again, from the hunger and exhaustion you felt from your very first day in the world you once felt comfort from. . what a pity.
In your tired and frantic state you had never noticed you were in the ruins of Stormterror's lair. The said dragon returning from who knows where, landing near your sleeping form, his neck craned as his head neared your body.
Eyes blinking every so often as he sniffed, although it was faint he could smell it. The smell of warmth and compassion the diving creator had for its land, weak, but it was there. And for Dvalin that was enough, he opened his mouth, and from it dozens of fish fell from it, forming a pile right beside you.
Your nose scrunched up at the smell of fish but you did not wake.
Satisfied Dvalin rested near you, head facing in your direction.
However numerous days and nights had past and you did not stir or wake from your slumber, Dvalin who had already been in a bad state as it is, lost control of his emotions and flew in a fury towards Mondstadt.
For they were the ones that caused you to fallen into such a depressive state. It was well with-in his rights as the dragon of the east to protect your honor as the [redacted]. So please, wake up, if you do not, you may end up dying once more. . .
𓂃 ོ𓂃𓅩𓂃 ོ𓂃
When you awoke Dvalin was gone, in the distance you could see the storms brewing from a far, in the direction you assumed that lead to mondstadt.
"Why. . why is there a pile of rotting fish beside me?" you wondered, fingers pinching your nose at the disgusting scent. The fish seemed to have been out for a few days already hence it was in a very undesirable state.
"There's not even a body of water in this ruins. ." you realized when the fish were salt water fish of all things. "God. ." your hand reached to brush through your greasy looks "how did I get here?" you wondered aloud, and of course nobody answered. You'd be more scared if there was.
Your stomach painfully twisted, your body was reaching it's breaking point due to the hunger. Eying the fish, you decided it was best to not risk it and so you began your descent from the ruins of the Dragon's lair. It was harder said than done due to the wind barriers and the lack of a wind glider meant that you had to climb down the infrastracture.
Which was a pain considering you woke up at the very top.
You were only halfway there when you stared at your bruised hand, [color] eyes squint at the shimmering liquid in your hands, barely noticeably, was it glitter? it was hard to tell with all the sweat that accumulated from your rock climbing.
You wiped your hands on your pajamas, as something caught your eyes from your peripheral vision. A statue of the seven. .
Cautiously you walked towards it, hands outstretched, hovering but never quite touching. What if touching it alerts Venti of your presence. . was he an ally or a foe. .
your arm fell limp on your side, you couldn't risk your life.
So in the end you turned your back to the statue as you began walking to a pillar you could easily climb done from. Your hands were aching, part of you screamed to touch the Statue so it could heal you if possible but you ignored it, choosing to endure it.
"Ah!-" you screamed as your grip loosened and you began to fall. You were headed towards the wind barriers, you shut your eyes tight as you brought your arms up to protect you face, fearing the worse!
Instead of getting cut by the fierce winds or being pushed back like what you had seen in game, all you felt was a gentle embrace. You opened your eyes slightly to find yourself floating down to the ground.
". . ."
without even questioning it, you dusted off your clothes and smile in relief. "Thank you to whoever is looking out for me. ." And, not wanting to waste anymore time, you looked around to scavenge for some ingredients, there you found an abandoned cooking station which you made sure to remember its location as you tried to find ingredients otherwise, what was the point of a cooking station if you didn't have any things to cook with?
you found some old utensils, mint, a pot, and calla lilies. Finding nothing else and being unable to kill birds for fowl and the fishes had been scared away you went back to the abandoned cooking station. You filled the pot with water from a nearby pond and boiled some mint in the water (the fire being provided by a nearby fire slime that had been nothing but accommodating for her strangely enough- and stuck beside you).
Sitting pretty on a crate you patiently waited for the tea to brew.
meanwhile. . .
"So there is an imposter that has defiled the lands. I see, this is very serious." Amber nodded in understanding as she, Kaeya and the traveller, Aether and their companion Paimon, had returned to the city after dealing with the temples that had been powering Dvalin.
Jean continued "Yes, although her status is unknown we must make sure to see to it with our very own eyes that the imposter has been dealt with." The blond haired traveller knew that 'dealth with' meant 'killed.' He felt a shiver, was Jean always this. . cruel? merciless?
"This will take precedence above all else. So Stormterror will have to wait." The acting grandmaster decided with shocked him.
Aether looked confused at the situation, an imposter? a creator? as far as he knew, this was a case of identity theft, did that constitute being killed on sight in this land? also, how was that more important than the crazy dragon that had been terrorizing the city for months?
Someone make it make sense for him.
Seeing his confused looks, Kaeya, who had been silent up until now, quietly explained to him the situation.
"In Teyvat, there is a being higher than the seven Archons. They are the divine creator. The origin of everything in this world, it is through them we exist, and it is to them we return in death." he explained in simpler terms.
Ah so the ultimate God, wait. . was that the unknown God that trapped him here?! and took his sister?!
"What do they look like?" Aether asked, trying to remain calm. It seemed that disrespecting this creator would end with him getting killed so he tried to act as neutral as possible. However if the divine creator was the one responsible for him being separated from his sister. .
not even the knights of Favonious will stop him.
"Let me show you," the captain offered "there is a statue made in the exact likeness of her excellency, or so I heard." he chuckled and guided him and Paimon out of the office. As he exited last, he glanced at the three that remained at the office, scheming and planning of ways to catch the so called imposter.
The Statue was located in an intimate area, it was smaller than the Anemo Archon's statue which towered over all in the city, just in front of the cathedral but the statue of the Great Creator made up for what it lacked in size with quality.
Aether stared at the statue that was erected behind the cathedral, he studied the well defined features of the statue and breath a sigh of relief upon realizing that the Great Creator and the Unknown God were not the same person.
And yet, "she seems. . familiar. I know this person." he frowned, facing morphing into a look of hopelessness and confusion until his eyes lit up with recognition. "Care to share traveler?" Kaeya patiently waited for his response.
"I saw her. When I was falling to Teyvat, I saw and heard her voice. ." Aether placed a hand on his chest, closing his eyes as he reminisced that distant memory. "She talked to me with so much sweetness and warmth. When I was in the beach, first waking up alone, I felt a presence, I'm sure it's her."
*He winced, clutching his head as unfamiliar yet familiar at the same time, memories flooded his mind. Memories of soaring through the skies, of falling to the ravenous oceans and being caught by a green haired warrior. . the feeling of being struck by lightning, holding someone in his arms as they drew his final breath-
"Aether!" Paimon floated beside her partner, small hands trying their best to comfort the traveller by rubbing his back or patting it. "are you okay?"
He did not answer, brows scrunching up as he panted, 'what was that?'
"I see." Kaeya's eyes shifted to the statue made in the Creator's image, he paid no heed to the fact that the traveler fell to the floor in a state of disarray.
"Why. . " Aether stood up, not entirely offended at the man's lack of care "why did they label them quickly as an imposter though? Wouldn't they first think it is the creator?" It was a reasonable point to brought up.
The blue haired knight hummed "it is because of an old prophecy that foretold the end of Teyvat, when an evil being that wears the face of the creator descends to bring chaos and trick the loyal followers of the Great Mother."
"How are you sure the prophecy is real or it is fulfilling though. . I mean, not all prohpecies are fulfilled. ." Paimon cautiously asked with a frown.
"True" the cavalier captain chuckled, yet it was humorless "but the fact that they showed up in Mondstadt, during the Stormterror's crisis. . when the city and its people is in a state of unrest. You can see why it led to this conclusion, right?"
Aether frowned at that, "it could have just been a coincidence." he defended.
"It could be, but it doesn't change how uneasy the people feel, they'll seek answers to why this whole situation is happening, for them it is easier to blame an 'imposter' of the divine Creator, which is an omen of destruction and misfortune."
Meanwhile you were sipping the improvised mint tea straight from the pot. It tasted spicy and bitter, a weird description but it worked well enough as you felt the burden on your stomach ease up. **
"This is going to be hard."
The Pyro slime that stayed by your side seemed to agree as it sorta nodded.
Tumblr media
*Although when you were playing genshin impact, you progressed pass mondstadt and other nations, but upon returning to teyvat or getting 'isekai'd' time seemed to turn back to the starting point of the game. The memories of the residents of Teyvat were changed, yet the vision holders could remember your presence, your gifts (artifacts, weapons) and the strength you gave them. There will be characters who remember though, or partly so. **Funfact: there is a type of mint that specifically helps with staving off / delaying hunger (peppermint oil iirc), [name] applied that knowledge in this chapter because she couldn't find anything to fully help with her hunger.
also Teyvat is trying to keep you alive, hence when you were about to hit the wind barriers in stormterror's ruins you were able to pass through it without it hurting you and it (the wind barriers) helped break your fall.
Please pet Dvalin, and tell him he's a good boy (and don't mention how the fish had rot and you ended up disposing it. .)

Idk what to call this
An odd phenomenon has been happening in the Mondstadt Library for the last few weeks. One that has even the librarian Lisa being put to work. Multiple books have been appearing in the library with no explanation. Most of which seemingly being unfinished however that’s only a hypothesis Lisa can make due to the how short they are. Some even being completely blank save for a title and what seems to be a summary. They’re written in a language no one in the knights including Lisa herself have seen before. The weirdest part though is how everytime you look at where the author’s name should be on one of the books, it’s a different name. Lisa had decided to try to send one of the books to be analyzed by scholars in the Akademiya but not even a day later she found the book she sent back on the shelf the book first appeared on.
