queen I LOVE the way you write. I love the way you develop your characters and the dynamics between the characters. The detail you put into describing your settings, different senses the characters feel, and the way you reveal information are so so good!!

I also love the way you write Alastor. I think Alastor is hit or miss, maybe because he’s hard to understand or harder to write in a relationship context, but you do both SO well. The way you convey his motivations and his mannerisms are so well written. I always go back and reread your stories / check if there’s an update. Your work is just so so good.

Anyway, that’s it! You’re doing so great and I can’t wait to read whatever you create in the future!!!

Yeah, okay, I know Alastor would be like the last character to actually take in a child (he was stated to not like children and would make a terrible father). But here in fanon land, we get to choose to pay attention to canon, and Alastor having a soft spot for children makes me happy. so there.

Bruce turns down a side hall and heads for the metal door at the end of it. He still hasn’t said a word since they got here aside from the comment about codenames, and continues in the fine Bat-tradition of not telling them a single friggin’ thing they might need to know as he taps two fingers against the keypad next to the door. It slides open silent and smooth, and Tim tries not to wince as Stud keeps chattering excitedly at Cat and Star and Red while flitting back and forth between Star and Red, Cat still lounging casually in his arms and all three of them seeming entertained by him. 

Tim really, really wishes he understood what the hell was going on there. 

“What the hell,” a baffled-sounding voice says from the other side of the doors, and a Pocket squeaks in surprise. Tim can’t see past Bruce filling up the doorway, but the voice sounded like Green Arrow’s. 

“Bats, please explain why you have a Superman Pocket now,” Green Lantern’s voice says, and Stud startles and looks through the doorway himself, given he’s got a better vantage point than Tim does. “Which literally no one is surprised that you do, for the record, just that it took this long.” 

“They’re not mine,” Bruce replies matter-of-factly as he sweeps through the door, and Tim can finally see past him. The room ahead looks like a meeting room, and it’s mostly dominated by the large circular table in the center of it where Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and the Flash are all sitting with their respective Pockets. “Where’s Wonder Woman? I need to speak with her. The rest of you too.” 

“No idea,” Lantern answers with a matter-of-fact shrug, his Saffie peering curiously at Stud from his shoulder and chittering inquisitively. “She was here this morning, but some friend of hers called and needed her for something in Gateway, so she switched off monitor duty with Hawkwoman and headed back planetside.” 

“I think Canary said something about her calling something in earlier?” Arrow says, scratching at his jaw as he glances towards his Singsong, who’s leaning forward curiously too and making melodic little crooning noises at Stud. “But she didn’t talk to her herself and we were more concerned with digging through the news on that whole bizarre mess in Metropolis, so I don’t actually know what–oh, okay, so you brought up half the belfry today, huh.” 

“Well, only the half of us,” Dick says with a grin, Flash appearing in front of him in an electric rush and the two of them knocking fists lightly in greeting as Flash’s Charger chirps a greeting of her own and peers up assessingly at Stud. Stud jumps like he was startled by the suddenness of Flash’s appearance–which, also weird, Tim thinks, repressing a frown again. Flash can’t have been going that fast outside a combat or crisis situation that Stud’s own superspeed wouldn’t clock him. Though in retrospect . . . 

Does Stud actually have Superman’s powerset? He’s been flying, obviously, and he’s clearly more than strong enough to carry another Pocket around without even noticing their weight, but that’s not actually all that much, in terms of superpowers. Flight and enhanced strength are pretty basic ones, in fact, and Stud hasn’t even shown particularly impressive levels of either. 

Shapeshifting is less basic, but whether Stud has that or not is a whole different question anyway. 

Tim . . . probably should not have assumed that Stud would have Superman’s powerset, come to think. Or definitely should not have assumed Stud would have Superman’s powerset, more like. 

“Is the guy yours, man?” Flash asks skeptically, and Dick snorts. 

“Yeah, no, Red’s still annoyed over Star popping up, don’t think she’d forgive me getting a third Pocket,” he says wryly. “Robin woke up to him about six and a half hours ago.” 

Flash–pauses. Pauses for what is a very noticeable length of time, coming from a speedster. So do Green Arrow and Green Lantern. 

“That is a whole-ass adult man,” Flash says frankly, visibly raising an eyebrow even behind his cowl, and Stud looks briefly conflicted but then just scowls at him. “So, respectfully: what the hell?” 

“Yeah, we’re still figuring that out,” Dick says with a sigh and a shrug. Charger twitters up at Stud, who startles again and then abruptly abandons Cat on his shoulder and zips back behind Tim and–hides, again, for lack of a better word, same as he did when she and Star and Red were sitting down at the table and expecting him to come over and sit with them. Given that Charger is just as pretty as–well, not Star, because Starfire is in a whole league of her own, frankly–but is at least as pretty as Cat and Red, it’s still not a reaction Tim actually understands. 

Though there’s a lot of things about Stud that Tim doesn’t understand so far, obviously.

“I just couldn’t remember if she was busy tonight, that’s all,” says Anita. “I know Jared’s going to the movies, but I couldn’t recall Saffy saying she had any plans. And I didn’t want her jumping down my throat in case she’d told me and I’d forgotten. You know how she gets.”

“I doubt she’s going anywhere. She’s probably going to be studying all weekend because of that big exam she’s got on Monday,” says Joël. Anita looks at him blankly.

“Are you serious? You forgot she had a major exam on Monday?” says Joël.

“I’ve been surviving on three to four hours of sleep a night since the baby was born,” says Anita. “Give me a break, darling. My brain’s wrapped in fog half the time.”

Alice giggles.

Do you have any recommendations for a Havi, the All-Father deck? I've gotten my mitts on a few nice pieces including Birthing Pod, Sneak Attack, Kamigawa dragons and others, but I'm still kind of iffy on stuff

Well, my first card thought upon re-reading Havi was to go infinite trivially with Saffi Eriksdotter, and yep, after checking EDHRec, it seems people are doing that. Beyond her, Havi seems to have quite the potential for accidental infinites wherever there's a legend with the word "graveyard" on it around him. With a sac outlet or self-saccing abilities.

Even not going infinite, I could easily see cascading through different mana values with a sac outlet, and then resetting with a single reanimation spell to multiply it into five of six creatures entering the battlefield and leaving it again, getting value at every step of the way.

That does sound awesome, but to live that dream would also require quite a bit of setup both on the graveyard and battlefield. Much more than it would to just go infinite. Birthing Pod and Sneak Attack would certainly help get there, and even partial successes would be quite neat. Thankfully a bunch of the cards used to set up wouldn't be bad cards per se.

Generally speaking, it'll be a balancing act between cards that work towards enabling Havi to be the star, and legendary creatures that are just around to do the brunt of the work the rest of the time, the majority of the time. Legendary creatures should probably be the focus in general, the historic part of Havi is pretty minor overall. Ideally Legendary creatures that have ETBs, and that are spread in mana cost. Quite a task!

I would expect these to be primary sac outlets for the deck, Altar can fill your graveyard to enable silliness, and Blasting Station progresses you towards a win if you start going off, while also being generally useful to keep up at instant speed with Havi around or not. The mana altars are also useful as altars, but I think this deck won't be as able to use them as these. Greater Good also fills your graveyard while digging through your deck to set you up for a dream, though it can be a bit more awkward to use.

While we're at sacrificing though, I need to mention Herigast. Giving Emerge to all your creatures allows you to chain things together quite well, and can allow you to get Havi earlier too since you can also Emerge your commander. Since it's technically a 9-drop, it can even sac itself to emerge something else with Havi around to reanimate... Pretty much anything else in your deck.

That's more marginal an upgrade, but we just got a Farhaven Elf that's also a legendary creature. I think she immediately finds a slot.

That one is more dependent on your exact deck. If you have enough artifacts for him, Oswald will help you find your key pieces, but I likely wouldn't play him in the typical Havi deck.

A relic from an older time, but even today, very few cards are as effective as Teeg at stopping board wipes, which are in vast majority noncreature spells mana value 4 or more. A few slip through, like Toxic Deluge, but I don't think any exile board wipe does. It will stop people from doing a lot of things, so Teeg isn't popular when on the board, but your deck should be in majority creatures with a few support pieces to avoid his restriction if you run him, which is what you want anyway. Don't have to go full Hatebears, but Teeg as board wipe prevention is likely good enough even then.

I mention these two not only because I love this effect (I do), but because they're counterintuitive. You'd think you wouldn't want copy effects in a deck full of legends, and indeed you usually don't. However, Havi doesn't specify nontoken, so these copy will trigger Havi when they legend rule. Furthermore, they can be used to copy Havi himself, creating two Havi triggers for 6 mana immediately. With Jaxis in specific, you can even Blitz her into play, copy Havi, sac her to an outlet in response, draw a card from Blitz, and potentially use one of the Havi triggers to bring her back (tapped).

I will say, I do not know if they're worth playing. You can get extra etb effects or death triggers out of them if you focus on that, even out of legends, but they can be a bit slow to deploy and wait for an untap.

Putting up Kreat because she's new, but this deck should probably take any Impact Tremors on a legendary creature it can find. Kreat, OG Purphoros, Arbaaz Mir... If the goal is to have things enter and leave in battery, having something to turn that into a win is important.

That's what I have in mind for now, though I'd probably start building this deck by searching for legendary creatures in the colors and going by ascending mana value to try to find stuff.

The arcanist leaned in slightly to present a fact with playfully conspiratory tones. "One thing you should definitely know is that my 'captivating' sister gets around because she has the liberty to now more than ever - she has me and a couple of teams of couriers to rely on now. As that woman should! She's been holding up this entire business on her shoulders for too many years alone! Frankly it's absurd how she was able to make it the success it was, but we proudly continue her legacy."

Wennefer continued to prattle on quite animatedly, a severe difference in mannerism compared to the more reserved demeanor of her sister. This one was a gossip. "Personally I find my sister to sometimes be insufferably coy where you say 'captivating', but I think she'd light up at for that in her little way. And we love her for it."

She wiggled her fingers as she asserted another point. "Now her husband - that one's an interesting one. A little strange. Maybe in need of a little sun. But he's got his gruff charm, I suppose. Captivating with the guitar, definitely. And Saffy adores that man, she's never too long away from him these days."

"So you'll most likely find her not being very busy where they live in Pandaria, actually. Beautiful place called the Elysian Sojourn at the Veiled Stair. He built it for her, you know - it is insane. I need a man to build me a whole resort - hah - but I digress. It's a little hard to get to there all on your own, but worth the hike if you can make it and don't mean to cause any problems."

Wennefer gave the stranger an appraising look, "I'll do you a favor here if you're really interested in saying hello - Saf does love company in the evenings, and on the week ends her husband puts on live music performances. A must-see, I think. If you do make it to the Stair, you'll want to find a young Pandaren named Seon at the Tavern of the Mists to help guide you up the mountain to the Sojourn. Just...make sure to mention I sent you and he won't make your trip a problem."

The younger Shadowsun peered intently. "And. I highly recommend the mineral pools or the private baths if you have a chance to reserve a room there for an hour or so! Exquisite, really."

Hello, Annonies! Hope you don’t mind that I’m tackling both of your asks together since, well, great minds think alike! So, unlike a certain someone <glares> @redfoxwritesstuff, I’m more of a mum’s-the-word type of gal. But here’s what I can spill:

@redfoxwritesstuff and I have SEVERAL exciting projects lined up for the end of the year and early 2025! @nyx-umbrakinesis graciously provided us all of the prompts and trust me, if you thought Kinktober was smutty...well...<gulps> A-anyways, by the time we hit January 1st, we’ll have posted 60 stories, from short fics and drabbles to one-shots. So if you thought Kinktober/Flufftober was a lot, buckle up—this is just the beginning! 😉

What are Gleebs?

Gleebs are an original species made by OpossumArson!

Gleebs are magic creatures originally found in Belzuton, but some had moved to earth for unknown reasons.

They are a small believed to be mammalians with the intelligence of humans or higher!

Most are masters of glamic [gleeb magic] and are able to do things no mere creature can.

Where do Gleebs come from?

Gleebs are believed to have come from Belzuton but could have truly come from anywhere!

There are high rocky cliffs,deep warm seas with lush biomes,frozen waste lands,and beautiful beaches that decorate the planet of Belzuton!

Gleebs, where one of the many civilized species, they resided on the planet,being neighbors with griffits and wind wirms!

They shared resources and land along with companionship.

They all lived relatively peaceful lives.

How did Gleebs get to earth?

As stated before, Gleebs are magic!

They are made of magic and use it frequently.

While planet hopping isn't an extremely common for of glamic, it is still a possibility that is how most got to earth!

Gleeb design rules!

Most rules are on the pictures, but there are some i didn't put on there

Gleebs dont actually need fur!

There are reptilian,aquatic,and avian variants!

They all follow the same rules as normal gleebs, so no mouths,reproductive organs,bones,organs, etc...

There is no limit to how many eyes or limbs they can have!

They can on vary in sizes 3ft - 6ft

Gleebs can be hybrids but must stay relatively the same body shape as a normal gleeb and must not have mouths.

Mleeps(baby gleebs) are usually about the size of a newborn domestic pups

Glamic!

Mleep starts off as a small squishy tan creature that gets its colors as they age!

They are, however, made with the features they will keep such as horns,tails,wings, etc...

Mleeps and Gleebs change their color as they grow and age and dont have to have set colors!

Gleeb info!

They can speak telepathically!

They also eat and drink telepathically as well!

They reproduce using glamic on blood,hair,scales,or tears.

They have no control over how the mleep comes out looking like!

A reptilian gleeb can produce a fuzzy baby and vice versa.

Mleeps consume raw glamic for the first week of life.

Raw glamic is made by enchanting a food item and having the mleel telepathically eat it.

If the mleep is young or hasn't got a grasp on their glamic, yet the parent can feed them the glamic infused item.

Some gleebs aren't born with glamic they can learn it by studying it!

These gleebs commonly use different forms of glamic instead of main one specific type.

Some gleebs have acidic blood and blood that burns like lava!

These gleeps are usually born with a specific type of glamic based on their blood!

Lava blooded gleebs being fire.

Acid blooded gleebs being rot or death.

Ice blooded gleebs ice glamic and ect...
