Accidentally used my Dom Voice™️ at work today bc my coworker got into a trailer that I needed to move. Said coworker isn't a sub and nothing came of it besides some mild teasing, but apparently the voice still works.

this is... awfully blunt. like no context straight up- dunno why people are digging into personal things and serious things in my inbox now like did i write something that made yall think id give out private info like that ( nothing against you btw ) ??
its common and known knowledge that to. yk. stay safe online that you shouldn't reveal your legal name, age, blablabla whatever. please understand that i don't feel safe revealing this information to random people online that i don't trust.
for you to read my ffs, all you need to know is that i am a minor who is still in school. if this is the same anon that sent the nsfw ask earlier ( if it's not, sorry ) please stop . my blog doesn't really have relevance to things like that as im writing perfectly non-explicit things : )

out of curiosity what degrees did you graduate? cause im doing a similar program and its crazy to me how someone could juggle MULTIPLE
it's 100% because a lot of them overlap, not because I did six unique programs. 3 of them weren't even on purpose
The on purpose ones were: Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish, Sociology, and Criminology
That general sphere happens to coincide with Liberal Arts, Integrated Studies, and Pre-Law. Like for the libarts I legit had all but one class requirement filled by taking classes for the others, so I just took that one since I happened to be so close
I did also complete all but the very last class (because they cancelled it my last semester) for the ASL concentration in modern languages. so I'd say I did like...3.5 different programs? spanish, ASL, and soci/criminology, even though I didn't get the ASL degree.
I did take full 15 credit hour summers though, so that was part of it. as was finishing math requirements early. and not participating in clubs/social events. so essentially I just took a shit load of classes for 3 years straight and now i've set a record and they gave me a cord at graduation for it👍

since one of my beloved mutuals asked, here's the story of the 2010 Times Square bombing, AKA the single worst car bomb ever made
Tumblr media
this is faisal shahzad, a pakistani member of the taliban
faisal wants to kill americans, which is a reasonable goal, let's be honest here
to do this, he wants to set off a car bomb in new york city
crucially, however, faisal does not know anything about explosives
this does not deter him, however, as he jams a bunch of random flammable shit in the back half of a car he bought on craigslist and drives it to times square
Tumblr media
this is the diagram the justice department used at his trial, and fucking look at this shit
giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming the wire leads are actually connected instead of trailing off to nowhere like how they appear here, the primary explosive used was entire individual firecrackers packed in a cardboard box. a coffee can, and a pressure cooker
(for reference, an M-88 looks like this:)
Tumblr media
allegedly he followed al qaeda instructions while assembling the bomb, and if this is the best al qaeda could do then it's not surprising that they had to give up on explosives and resort to flying entire planes into buildings
there are multiple gas cans, and i'm telling you right now that gasoline is going to add exactly jack shit to this if your plan is detonating the propane tanks (which incidentally are not connected to anything) because the slow burn of gasoline is going to be completely buried under any kind of pressurized gas explosion
and let's talk about the propane tanks, too, because these are standard steel-walled tanks with no modification and his grand plan is to penetrate that steel with fucking fireworks
to top it all off, the gun locker is full of the wrong kind of fertilizer for a bomb
he used urea-based fertilizer, which has these lovely statements in its data sheet:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and finally, when you put this haphazard mixture of random shit together, you get a lightly toasted SUV and a whopping zero casualties
Tumblr media
so there you have it, the single worst car bomb until the cybertruck explosion in vegas
edit because i just picked this up: faisal also left both his house key and the keys to his getaway car in the vehicle, as if he wasn't incompetent enough

Fire Safety Training for Oil and Gas Industry Workers in Nigeria
Tumblr media
In the bustling landscape of Nigeria's oil and gas industry, ensuring robust fire safety measures is paramount. The high-risk nature of these operations necessitates rigorous training for workers to effectively prevent, manage, and respond to fire incidents. This article delves into the importance of fire safety training in nigeria for oil and gas industry workers in Nigeria, emphasising key practices, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
Understanding the Risks
The oil and gas sector in Nigeria is inherently susceptible to fire hazards due to the presence of flammable substances, high-pressure equipment, and complex industrial processes. Fire incidents can lead to catastrophic consequences, including injuries, environmental damage, and production downtime. Comprehensive fire safety training equips workers with the knowledge and skills to identify risks, mitigate hazards, and respond swiftly in emergencies.
Regulatory Requirements and Standards
Nigeria has established stringent regulations and standards for fire safety in the oil and gas industry. Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory to ensure workplace safety and environmental protection. Fire safety training programs adhere to national and international standards, such as NFPA, OSHA, and ISO, to provide industry-specific insights and best practices.
Importance of Fire Safety Training
Effective fire training in nigeria goes beyond theoretical knowledge; it involves practical exercises, simulations, and hands-on experience to instil confidence and competence among workers. Training modules cover various aspects, including fire prevention, extinguishing techniques, emergency evacuation procedures, use of firefighting equipment, hazard communication, and first aid response.
Tailored Training Programs
Recognizing the diverse roles and responsibilities within the oil and gas sector, fire safety training programs are tailored to address specific job functions. For example, offshore workers undergo specialised training focusing on maritime firefighting, helicopter evacuation protocols, and offshore platform safety. Onshore personnel receive training tailored to refinery operations, storage facilities, and pipeline infrastructure.
Practical Fire Drills and Simulations
Simulating real-life scenarios through fire drills and simulations is a crucial component of fire safety training. Workers participate in mock drills to practice fire response tactics, evacuation routes, communication protocols, and teamwork under pressure. These simulations enhance preparedness, decision-making skills, and coordination during emergencies.
Certification and Accreditation
Obtaining fire safety certification is essential for oil and gas industry workers in Nigeria. Accredited training providers offer certified courses, such as Fire Prevention and Firefighting (FPFF), Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), and Industrial Firefighting Training. These certifications validate competence and compliance with industry standards.
Continuous Learning and Updates
Fire safety training is not a one-time event but an ongoing process that requires continuous learning and updates. Industry advancements, technological innovations, regulatory changes, and lessons learned from past incidents necessitate regular refresher courses, competency assessments, and knowledge reinforcement among workers.
Collaboration with Emergency Response Teams
Effective fire safety training involves collaboration with internal emergency response teams (ERTs) and external fire fighting agencies. Workers undergo joint training exercises, drills, and tabletop simulations with ERTs to enhance coordination, communication, and mutual support during emergencies. This collaborative approach ensures a cohesive response and minimises response time in critical situations.
Safety Culture and Behavioral Awareness
Beyond technical skills, fostering a safety culture and promoting behavioural awareness is integral to fire safety training. Workers are educated on risk perception, hazard recognition, situational awareness, safety protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Encouraging a proactive approach to safety empowers workers to identify potential hazards and take preventive measures proactively.
Continuous Improvement and Incident Analysis
Post-training evaluations, incident analysis, and lessons learned sessions contribute to continuous improvement in fire safety practices. Feedback mechanisms, safety audits, and corrective actions help identify gaps, address challenges, and implement preventive measures to mitigate fire risks effectively.
In conclusion,
fire certification in nigeria for oil and gas industry workers in Nigeria is a cornerstone of workplace safety, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance. By investing in comprehensive training programs, certifications, practical simulations, and collaborative initiatives, companies can safeguard their workforce, assets, and reputation while fostering a culture of safety excellence in the dynamic energy sector.
