Transforming Construction Spaces: Why Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor Are Essential
In any construction or renovation project, the final result is what people usually focus on. The gleaming floors, the fresh paint, the modern fixtures — these are the things that catch the eye. But what many don’t see is the mess left behind once the builders pack up their tools. That’s where professional Builders Site Clean Lalor come in — making sure a construction site is not only safe and clean but ready for handover or occupancy.
The Importance of Post-Construction Cleaning
Construction and renovation work often leaves behind a trail of dust, debris, and unwanted materials. Timber scraps, nails, plaster dust, packaging, and even hazardous materials can clutter the space, making it unsafe and unappealing. This isn’t just an eyesore — it’s a potential hazard to workers, property owners, and even visitors.
Hiring professionals for Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor ensures that the area is thoroughly cleaned and cleared of all waste. It’s more than just sweeping the floors. These experts understand the process of detailed cleaning, which includes scrubbing surfaces, removing paint splashes, cleaning windows, and even polishing where necessary. They transform chaotic construction sites into livable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments.
Why Choose Professional Site Cleaning Services?
When it comes to site cleaning, many builders or developers may think about using their own team to finish the job. While this might seem cost-effective at first glance, it’s not the best approach in the long run. Specialized cleaning crews are trained to handle post-construction mess efficiently and safely. They also come equipped with the right tools and eco-friendly cleaning products to handle different types of surfaces and materials.
Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor offer a level of precision and attention to detail that goes beyond what a general clean-up crew can achieve. From high-reach windows to polished timber floors and delicate fittings, professionals know exactly how to clean without damaging the new finishes.
What’s Included in a Builders Clean?
A comprehensive post-construction clean isn’t just a quick once-over. It typically involves several stages. The initial rough clean happens during the early stages of construction to remove heavy debris and prepare for finishing work. Then comes the final detailed clean, which is what most people think of when they hear the term “builders clean.” This includes dusting all surfaces, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, cleaning walls, scrubbing kitchens and bathrooms, washing windows inside and out, and ensuring the whole space is spotless.
In some cases, Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor may also include pressure washing driveways, removing paint overspray, and ensuring that outdoor areas are clean and safe too. The aim is simple: deliver a property that looks flawless and ready for use.
Local Expertise Matters
One of the main advantages of hiring a local service provider in Lalor is that they understand the unique needs of the area. Whether it’s dealing with local dust conditions, council waste disposal regulations, or even the timing for cleanup based on Lalor’s busy construction periods, local professionals bring insights that out-of-area contractors may lack.
Using Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor not only ensures a thorough job but also supports local businesses who are familiar with community expectations and can respond quickly when urgent cleaning is required. Plus, being local often means better communication, quicker turnaround times, and ongoing support when you need it.
The Final Touch Before Handover
For developers, builders, and even homeowners, presentation is everything. When it comes time to showcase a newly built or renovated space, the smallest smudge on a window or layer of dust on a benchtop can ruin the impact. Professional site cleaning ensures that every surface shines and every detail is ready to impress.
Especially in competitive real estate markets like Lalor, a clean and polished finish can significantly boost the value of the property and create a lasting impression for potential buyers or tenants. That final sparkle? It’s all thanks to a thorough builders clean.
A Growing Demand in Lalor
As Lalor continues to grow and more residential and commercial developments pop up, the demand for reliable Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor is on the rise. With new estates, home extensions, and commercial projects constantly underway, site cleaning services are becoming an essential part of the building process.
These services don’t just cater to large projects either. Even small renovation jobs can benefit from a post-construction clean. Whether it’s a new bathroom, a kitchen revamp, or an additional room extension, the mess left behind can be more than most homeowners are prepared to handle. That’s when calling in the pros makes all the difference.
Conclusion: Clean Spaces, Better Impressions
Cleanliness might be the last step in the building process, but it’s far from the least important. A clean site not only protects the investment but also ensures safety, boosts property value, and leaves a powerful first impression. If you’re building, renovating, or managing a construction project in Lalor, don’t overlook the final clean.
Choosing trusted Builders Site Clean Services in Lalor is the smartest move you can make to ensure your project is completed to the highest standard — not just structurally, but visually and hygienically as well. Because the final finish is what people remember most.

Masterlist
Being an Avenger is not easy.
The long missions, the intense training, the weight of the world on your shoulders…
Everybody on the team has a different way to unwind after a mission: Steve draws, Clint and Natasha compete doing target practice, Thor sleeps, Sam plays video games, Bucky takes motorcycle rides, Tony and Bruce work on side projects in their lab, Loki reads, Peter does his homework and Wanda cooks with Vision.
For you, it’s going to the rose garden behind the Compound.
It’s a bit of a sanctuary for you, Tony allowed you to put tall hedges of roses with a gazebo-like structure in the middle of them facing the lake, only it’s entirely made of vines.
You made it yourself, that’s your power: you can manipulate anything plant-related.
Everytime you finish a mission the team splits up as soon as the debriefing is over and you walk straight here.
You sit on the bench, also made of vines, take out your diary and start writing.
You write about everything, from details of missions to your feelings about the team. From things you did that you don’t want to forget to things that you want to do after you’re not so tired anymore.
The hedges hide you from view and the only thing you can see when you’re here is the lake.
Sometimes, after a particular difficult mission, you don’t even write. You just sit there and look out into the water, the sunshine or moonlight shining down on you, and you feel at peace.
It helps that nobody else ever comes here. The team understands it’s your safe space, and the agents are mostly scared of your powers ever since you grew a giant carnivorous plant and it bit an agent that squeezed your ass during training.
The agent got both taken to the medbay and suspended on the same day, and you got the thanks of about a dozen girls that had the same problem with the same asshole.
You walk out of the conference room, the debriefing of the team’s latest mission just wrapped up, and like usual everyone scatters to their own after-mission ritual.
Today, though, you can’t concentrate on anything.
Your feet take you to the rose garden by reflex, but your brain doesn’t even register you’re there until you sit on the bench.
Today’s mission took a lot out of you, not just because of the amount of magic you had to use to get everyone out safely, but also because it was your fault the team was in so much danger in the first place.
You fucked up your task, Natasha had to step in and save your ass, moving away from her post and making her late for her own task and that derailed the entire mission.
At the end, you had to use your powers to take out the hundreds of Hydra agents at the same time, which is no small feat and made you almost pass out.
Everybody told you on the way home not to worry, the mission was successfully accomplished and everyone made it out safely, but you know that if it wasn’t for your screw up the team would’ve gotten in and out of base without so much as a scratch.
Nobody had fatal injuries, thank God, but Sam got shot in the leg, Clint got stabbed and everyone else had various degrees of injuries because Hydra got the jump on the team.
Because of me.
That was all you kept thinking about. Your brain had a field day making up all kinds of scenarios where your mistake cost someone’s life, a few of them even had the entire team dying because of your stupidity.
You were so caught up in your head that you didn’t even notice someone following you to the rose garden.
Not that you ever do.
If there’s one thing Bucky Barnes knows how to do, is move around undetected. He’s a master assassin, he was trained for this for over 50 years, he knows how to be a shadow.
Except now he uses his skills for good during missions and, occasionally, to follow you.
Not in a creepy way, of course, just to check on you. At least that’s the excuse he always uses so he won’t have to admit to himself that what he does is, indeed, a little creepy.
But he can’t help himself, Bucky knew from the moment he saw you that he was fucked.
The moment you walked into the room to meet the team his heart was yours. You stole it with one simple smile, with one look of your beautiful eyes.
You introduced yourself and shook hands with everyone, but when you looked at Bucky he felt like a light came on and it was just you two.
You shook his hand and he felt like he had to take it off and give it to you, it was yours now. His hand, his arm, his leg, his head, his heart, his soul. Everything he is was now yours, he just knew it.
Then you said his name and he could’ve died right there and then. It was the sweetest sound he’d ever heard, and it was barely two syllables. Every word you said, every laugh and sound that came out of your pretty mouth, Bucky felt like it was all for him. Nobody else mattered.
Bucky knew then he was in love.
But he didn’t know how to approach you. You were like a fairy, like a princess. Growing flowers, always smiling, baking, growing everyone’s favorite flowers and always willing to help, like growing Aloe when Wanda burned herself cooking, or Chamomile to help with Tony’s anxiety, or Valerian roots whenever someone was feeling down.
You were like sunshine and he was terrified he’d kill your light. But he’d be damned if he’d let the world kill it either, he’d protect you with his life.
So he took to following you, making sure you were safe from a distance.
But it’s not like he never talked to you, the more time you spent with the team the more comfortable Bucky got around you and eventually you became friends.
Bucky knew you could take care of yourself, you were one of the strongest members of the team, but he didn’t like it when you were in your rose garden by yourself. The tall hedges made it impossible to see incoming danger, so he kept an eye on you just to be sure.
For his own piece of mind. And you never saw him.
That was Bucky’s actual way to unwind after a mission.
He’d tell everybody he was going for a ride on his bike, but he’d drive it through the woods around the compound and to the other side of the lake where he’d have a perfect view of you without you knowing.
Deep down he knew it was a little creepy, he could just ask you if he could join you, but he felt like you needed your time alone without anyone else around, and he knew if he asked you, you’d say yes no matter what you were feeling, because that’s just the kind of person you are.
So Bucky watched you from afar, always careful not to be seen. He watched you write for hours, it relaxed him to see your beautiful face so concentrated.
Sometimes you’d laugh quietly at what you were writing and those were the only times Bucky was grateful for the supersoldier serum that allowed him to hear such a beautiful sound even with so much distance between you.
But it was torture for him when he knew you had a bad day. Sometimes you’d hug your knees and cry, Bucky could tell how much you’d need a hug, and it killed him that he couldn’t just walk up to you and hug you.
Everytime he sees you cry his heart breaks a little and he always tries to make you feel better when you walk back inside. He doesn’t ask you what’s wrong, he just tries to make you laugh. But all he wanted to do was dry your tears.
You did notice Bucky always seemed to act a little goofy when you're feeling down, like he somehow knew, but you never thought much of it.
You knew he was a very observant person, so you assumed he just saw your mood through your behavior better than most.
Bucky loves hanging out with you, even if it’s just as friends. You make fun of him like with everyone else, you don’t treat him like could explode at any moment, never walking on eggshells around him like most people do.
You’ve never been afraid of him, and he’s glad that you don’t treat him like glass. You treat him like everyone else, and it makes him feel normal.
Everytime time he hangs out with you, you take him back to a time where he was unbroken. You make him feel alive again.
And he falls more in love with you by the second because of it. You’re all he wants, he wants to have you and kiss your lips and never let anyone hurt you. That’s all he can think about, but he knows that’s not gonna happen.
He heard you talk to Natasha and Wanda, heard that there’s someone you’d gone on a few dates with. But Bucky knows that guy doesn’t deserve you, nobody does.
Even Bucky himself doesn’t deserve you, you’re too pure for anyone in this world, but if there’s someone that has any chance of making you happy, Bucky prays to God that that someone is him.
Bucky knows today’s mission shook you deeply. He knows you blame yourself, and no amount of reassurance will make you believe that everything is okay.
So today, for the first time, Bucky actually follows you. He can see your unfocused eyes even as you walk and he wants to be near you, just in case.
He almost walks to you when you curl up on the bench and start sobbing quietly, but he holds back not wanting to startle or upset you further.
He just listens to your soft cries until you stop and compose yourself. You sigh and get up, walking back to the Compound to take a much needed relaxing shower.
But you’re still so much in your own head that you don’t even notice you left your diary on the bench in the gazebo.
Bucky did notice, though.
He’s tempted to call after you and tell you, but something deep down tells him not to. He waits until you’re gone and then walks to the bench, picking up your diary and opening it.
He doesn’t know why, he knows it’s wrong, these are your private thoughts, but he’s just drawn to it for some reason.
When he starts reading he notices you don’t mention any specific names, which makes sense because only you read it, you know who you’re writing about. He reads a page here and there, reading about your missions or lazy days.
He reads about some memories with the team you wrote about, some he remembers and others he probably wasn’t there for, but seeing all these memories from your point of view does something to him.
It makes him feel connected to you, makes him feel like he’s reading your heart and soul, because he kind of is. Then he reads something that captures his attention completely.
You write about eyes blue like the ocean and just as troubled, about a smile that could light up the world. You write about someone with a complicated past that never lost his spark, never lost his love for life.
A man that went through hell, and never once took it out on the world. A man that didn’t ever blame the world, even when he had every right to, choosing instead to protect it.
You filled pages and pages with everything you admire about this man, everything you love about him that you know he hates.
And Bucky feels like every word you wrote, you wrote for him. But could this be him? Could he be the one you talk about in all your stories?
He wants to. He wants this to be him. He prays you’re talking about him. He wishes this could be him… Who is he kidding?
Of course it’s not me.
It’s probably the guy you’ve been dating. Yeah, that’s it. You’re in love with that guy, that much is clear.
Bucky gets to the page where you write about your dates with the guy, but he can’t read them.
He closes the diary, not knowing that you compared your date to Bucky every step of the way. Not knowing that you granted the guy a second date just to be sure he couldn’t compare to Bucky, and went on a third date at a coffee shop just to let him down gently.
Bucky didn’t read how you know he’s the one for you, he didn’t read his own name written in your handwriting, the only name in your whole diary because he’s the only person you never want to forget, even though you know you never will.
But Bucky didn’t read that.
He puts your diary back where it was on the bench and, with his heart broken and his hope that one day you could be his lost, he goes back inside and to his room.
It’s only when you go back to the rose garden after your shower that you notice you left your diary there, but don’t think much of it. Nobody ever comes here anyway, as far as you know.
After finding out you’re in love with someone else, Bucky can’t stop himself from acting differently towards you, which you don’t fail to notice.
It’s not like he’s mean, but your interactions get shorter, like he tries his best to end the conversation quickly.
He no longer sits close to you, no longer tries to make you laugh when you’re feeling down, doesn’t hang out with you as much during your down time and if he does, it’s never just the two of you anymore.
It’s silly to say, but you miss him.
Bucky knows he’s been distancing himself, he knows you’ve noticed and he can see it’s affecting you, but he’s doing this to protect himself.
He knows it’s only a matter of time before you present your boyfriend to the team, the man you’re in love with and he doesn’t want it to hurt more than necessary.
You decide not to push Bucky, knowing he has his reasons to pull away from you. Maybe he’s just trying to deal with all the stress the team’s been under and you don’t want to add any more to that, so you let him be.
A few weeks later the team’s on their sixth mission in just as many days and everyone is exhausted. You’ve been taking down Hydra base after Hydra base, because waiting too long meant losing your chance to shut down their operations for good before they got the opportunity to leave.
You’ve been dividing in smaller teams to take down the bases while still giving the team a chance to recuperate, but this last one was the biggest and required the whole team together, which sucked for you because you were in the last team with Steve and Bucky that took down a base just yesterday, so the three of you got barely a few hours of sleep while you flew to the last base.
You’ve cleared the base, all that’s left is the agents in the courtyard who are really going down fighting. The whole team is outside now, the Hydra agents giving you a hell of a fight. You’re using your magic against your better judgment, giant vines coming out of your arms like whips, covered in poisonous thorns. One touch of that and anyone would go down immediately, everyone except you.
Or at least that’s what you think.
As you’re fighting you can see an agent trying to sneak up on Bucky who’s fighting near you, so you quickly take care of it for him.
Bucky turns around and sees the agent down and then looks at you with that charming smile you fell in love with and winks at you. “Thank you, doll.”
That’s the friendliest Bucky’s been towards you in weeks and you can’t help but smile back with a small blush.
You can see the last agent standing coming at you from your peripheral vision and you quickly whip him with a vine, taking him down as soon as you can so you can turn back to look at Bucky, still smiling at you.
Bucky’s smile drops quickly, though, as he sees your face draining of any color. You barely have the time to register the sting of your own thorn on your arm that you’re already falling to the ground.
Bucky tries to catch you, but he gets thrown back by your magic that goes into defense mode, creating a wall of thorns to protect your now unconscious body.
The team doesn't know what to do, none of them know enough about plants to be sure that these thorns wouldn’t just kill them all.
The only one that would know that is you, the person that’s passed out, or worse, trapped in the midst of a cocoon of thorns.
“Okay, we need to find a safe way to-” Steve starts but cuts himself off almost immediately. “What are you doing?!”
Bucky doesn’t even turn around to answer, too intent on breaking the thorns around you with his metal arm, not caring that the thorns are ripping his clothes and scratching his face, all he can think about is getting to you.
He finally manages to get through to you, but nobody can follow because your magic regrows the thorns Bucky broke, trapping him with you inside the cocoon.
But Bucky doesn’t care, his eyes never leaving your face as he kneels behind you, running a finger softly along your cheek and shivering when he feels your skin is cold as ice.
His mind goes to the worst possibility, that there’s nothing he can do, but his brain gives him some hope reasoning that your magic wouldn’t be working if you were dead.
Right?
He snaps out of his thoughts when he feels the thorns around you vibrate, he takes you in his arms and shields you with his body from whatever is about to happen.
But the only thing that happens is the shade cast by the thorns gets replaced by sunlight. Bucky looks up and realizes Wanda used her magic to lift the thorn cocoon.
“You couldn’t have done that before?!” Bucky barks at Wanda with a glare while carefully picking you up to take you to the Quinjet.
“She’s not the dumbass that threw himself headfirst in a mess of thorns without even considering another course of action!” Natasha came in Wanda’s defense, though she seemed more amused at Bucky’s antics than annoyed.
As the team heads back home in the jet, Bruce examines you and lets the team know you’re still alive but in a sort of coma.
Their relief is cut short when Bruce makes it known that he has no idea when, or if, you’ll wake up.
As soon as the Quinjet lands you’re taken to the medbay and hooked up to machines, an IV in your arm to keep you hydrated.
Bucky holds your hand through it all, staying all night next to you just in case you wake up. He didn’t want you to be freaked out and alone, he wanted to be the first person to see your beautiful eyes open.
When morning comes, though, you’re still unconscious, but Bucky doesn’t lose hope. You probably need a good sleep.
That’s what he tells himself for two, three, four days.
That’s what he keeps telling himself for a week, two weeks. Never once leaving your side, not eating unless Steve brings him food and makes sure he eats before leaving, and using the bathroom of your room in the medbay.
He barely sleeps and, when he does, he dreams of you.
Everyone was getting worried about him, he refused to leave your side until one day Steve came into your room to tell Bucky there was something wrong with your rose garden.
Bucky was torn between staying with you and seeing what Steve was talking about, but decided that it would kill you if something happened to your roses so he had to make sure everything was okay when you woke up.
Because you’re going to wake up.
Bucky follows Steve to your rose garden, and his eyes widen in horror as soon as he sees it. The roses, the hedges, the vines.
Everything is dying.
Bucky’s heart breaks, only one thought in his mind. If your plants are dying, does that mean you’re slowly dying too?
No. That’s unacceptable. You’re not gonna die, not if Bucky has anything to do with it.
He takes it upon himself to take care of your garden, watering it and doing everything he can to keep the roses and vines alive, fooling himself into believing that this will keep you alive.
He stays on the gazebo day and night, sleeping on the bench, spending every waking moment trying to keep a hold of even the smallest part of you.
But it’s not enough. Nothing is enough.
Bucky loses track of how many days he’s been in your garden, sleeping maybe an hour at a time here and there, watering the roses every few hours and crying the rest of the time.
After all it’s his fault, if he hadn’t distracted you none of this would’ve happened. You’d be in your beautiful garden, probably with your boyfriend, and the only broken thing would be Bucky’s heart.
That he could’ve lived with.
But how can he live with the knowledge that he caused your end? That he killed your light? That he killed his sunshine, his hope, the love of his life? He can’t live with that.
Not that he has to.
While Bucky’s spiraling while surrounded by dying roses, inside your room in the medbay you’re finally waking up after almost a month.
You open your eyes slowly, looking around you at the hospital-like room. There’s nobody around and, as you look at the window, you can see it’s really late at night.
You sit up and try to make sense of what happened while rubbing your eyes. The last thing you remember is Bucky’s bright smile, and then nothing.
You look down at your arm and see an IV, which you take out while frowning. How long have you been sleeping?
You carefully get off the bed and make your way outside to your rose garden, just to be sure everything’s okay. It’s not like anyone’s gonna stop you anyway.
When you get close, the moonlight shines on the hedges and you gasp at what you see. Your beautiful roses withering away, the gazebo made of vines dying too.
But the most confusing thing is the sobs coming from the bench, although no one’s sitting on it.
You get closer and see Bucky sitting in front of the bench while hugging his knees and crying softly. You frown and get a little closer before stopping, not wanting to startle him.
“Bucky…” You say quietly and his head snaps up, his eyes instantly meeting yours.
For a moment it feels like he’s trying to decide if you’re real, he reaches out and you extend your hand to take his. That seems to convince him and he gasps.
“Doll…” His voice is barely above a whisper, almost as if he thinks if he makes too much noise you’ll disappear.
“What’s wrong?” You ask him while getting a little closer to him, concern clear in your every feature.
It’s only when you get closer that you see his face full of cuts and you frown. Those are not just any scratches, it’s clear to you that they were made by thorns. “D-did… Did I do this to you?”
You’re kneeling in front of him now, one hand still in his one the other comes up to trace the cuts in his face softly, but he takes your hand in his and kisses your palm.
“I’m okay…” He reassures you.
Just then he realizes, you’re fussing over him when you’re the one that’s been in a coma for a month. “Are you okay? How long have you been awake?”
“I… I just woke up.” You tell him honestly, then look around at the dying roses and vines before looking back at him. “What happened to me?”
“You got stung by one of your poisonous thorns.” He says quietly, his thumbs rubbing circles on your skin while he refuses to let go of you. “You’ve been unconscious for almost a month.”
“A month?!” You’re shocked at the news, not knowing what to say or do, so you just stay there while letting the information sink in. The silence is broken by Bucky after a minute.
“I’m sorry about your roses… I tried to keep them alive, but…” He looks around with a hopeless expression. “I failed you.”
Your heart breaks a little. Does he really think he failed you?
You take a deep breath, then close your eyes and when you open them again a second later everything’s back to normal. The roses are as beautiful as ever, the gazebo just as majestic. It’s like nothing ever happened.
Bucky looks around in awe when he feels you take his chin and you make him look at you.
“You could never fail me.” You say firmly, wanting him to understand you mean it. You look at the cuts around his face and you can’t help the guilt and pain that you feel deep within you. “I’m sorry…”
“It wasn’t your fault.” It’s like Bucky can read your thoughts, he knows all you can see are your faults, and he wants you to know he doesn’t blame you for anything. “You weren’t even conscious. You have nothing to be sorry for.”
“I never wanted to be one of the people that hurt you…” Your voice is a whisper as a tear escapes you. “The world hurt you so much already… I never wanted to be part of that. You don’t deserve it.”
Bucky frowns. He feels like he’s heard those words, but where? No, he didn’t hear them. He read them. He read them in your diary, where you wrote about the man you’re in love with. Could it be possible?
Could I be him?
“It’s me…” He says lower than a whisper, his eyes locked on yours, and it’s your time to be confused now.
“What?” You ask him with a frown while wiping your cheeks.
“It’s me you’re in love with.” His voice is a little louder, but firm. He’s not asking you, he’s making a statement.
Your eyes widen in surprise, you almost take your hands away from his but his hold prevents you from doing that.
“I-I… What?” Is all you can bring yourself to say, confused as to why he’s so sure of it. Are you really that transparent?
“I read your diary…” Bucky says, guilt written all over his face, but at least he’s owning up to it. “You wrote about the man you love… and you wrote the same thing you just told me. It’s me, isn’t it? You love me back?” His voice is more hopeful now, his confident demeanor weavering.
“You… You read my diary?” You say, your mind still playing catch up.
It’s only a moment later that you register the ‘love me back’ and you don’t give him a chance to apologize or justify himself before you’re speaking again. “You love me?!”
Bucky hesitates a moment but nods firmly. “I love you, doll. I’ve loved you since the moment I met you.”
You feel like someone punched you and all the air has left your body. You have no idea what to say, so you don’t say anything.
Instead you lean in and kiss him.
Bucky wastes no time kissing you back, but a thought pops into his mind and he reluctantly pulls back. “What about your boyfriend?”
“Boyfriend?” You frown again, having no idea what he’s talking about. “I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“You don’t?” Bucky feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders and he pulls you to straddle him. “What about the guy you went on a few dates with?”
You narrow your eyes at him but decide to table the conversation about how he knows that for another time, so you smile at him and decide to just be honest with him.
“Do you honestly think that anyone could ever measure up to you? Because if you do, you’re an idiot.” Bucky grins and kisses you again.
Maybe he is an idiot. But when he’s the idiot you’re in love with, how much of an idiot can he really be?
It looks like he can be him after all.

Not Hangman To Her – Jake "Hangman" Seresin
"We are about to embark on an emergency rescue mission," Maverick said. Instantly, all of the pilots straightened up as he continued. "The U.S.S. Reynolds set off three days ago. Their mission was supposed to be simple but it took a bad turn. After a dogfight, three out of their four pilots were killed."
"What about the fourth?" Rooster asked.
"She's MIA," Maverick sighed. "We are close to her last known coordinates. We've been asked to complete a search and rescue."
"Who's the pilot?" Phoenix asked.
"Her name is Lieutenant Y/F/N Y/L/N."
Hangman's heart jumped into his throat when Maverick put the pilot's picture on the screen. His mind raced as his eyes and thoughts were glued to the girl he met in training.
Y/N? There's no way she would be mixed up in all this. She's the best pilot. Whatever happened was not pilot error. Y/N didn't do anything to put her in this position. She's too. . . perfect to make a mistake that would cost her her life or the lives of her team.
"Hangman."
Hangman jumped when Rooster walked by, kicking his shoe. "You good?"
"I'm fine," Hangman said, clearing his throat.
"You sure?" Payback scoffed. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Do you know someone on the U.S.S. Reynolds?" Phoenix asked.
"No," he said a little too quickly. "Why would I know anyone on the U.S.S. Reynolds?"
Before his team could tell he was lying, he left the room. He went back to his bunk and slammed the door shut behind him. Hangman frantically searched through his stuff, and at the very bottom, finally found the picture of him and Y/N in training.
~ • ~
"Keep up, Seresin!" Y/N laughed as she ran ahead of me.
As fast as I pumped my legs, I could never outrun Y/N. Then again, I didn't try to. I couldn't help but like the feeling I got when she bragged about being the better pilot. I loved how happy she got as she excitedly jumped around after beating me. I liked that it made her so happy.
"I win again!" Y/N giggled as she jumped and spun around. "Say it. Say that I am faster than you, Seresin. Say it. Say it. Say it."
I pretended to be angry as she jogged around me and chanted for me to say it. I didn't mind saying it but she expected me to push back, so I did.
"If I say it, will you stop circling me?"
Y/N stopped right in front of me. She smiled cheekily at me as she bounced on her toes. "Did you have something to say to me, Seresin?"
"You are the faster runner, Y/L/N," I recited just for her. "You're better than me."
"And don't you forget it!" She giggled as she went back to jumping up and down. Suddenly, her ankle gave out. I instantly caught her and pulled her close to my chest.
"You okay?" I asked, my voice soft.
"I think so," she said slowly.
"Are you sure?" I asked, starting to panic. "Maybe I should take a look at it. Here, sit down and I will. . ."
"I'm fine, Jake," Y/N chuckled as she patted my shoulder.
She turned away from me and stretched her legs as I overthought the last 2 minutes. The thought of Y/N in pain made me want to do anything I could to make sure she wasn't in it anymore.
I'd do anything to make sure Y/N was happy, healthy, and safe.
~ • ~
Hangman snapped out of the memory, his hands shaking as he held the picture. The idea that Y/N was out there somewhere, lost and alone, filled him with more fear than he knew what to do with.
"She's okay," he mumbled to himself. "She's safe. We are going to find her. We are going to find her. I will find you, Y/N, I promise."
* * * * *
The next few hours went by in a blur for Hangman. The ship changed course toward Y/N's last known location. When they got there, Hangman and a few others took off in their planes and began searching the water for any sign of Y/N or her plane.
As he searched, all Hangman could do was think of the worst-case scenarios.
What if they're looking in the wrong area? What if they find her plane but not her? What if they find her but it's too late? What if they find her and get her back to the ship, but can't save her? What if he never finds her? What if he loses her? What if he loses her before he gets a chance to tell her how he feels?
"We got her!" Rooster yelled, pulling Hangman out of his spiral.
"Well, we got pieces of her plane," Payback sighed.
Hangman quickly turned around and flew to them. He started searching the sea for any sign of the girl he was crazy about. Finally, his eyes landed on something that instantly burned into his brain - Y/N unconscious on a piece of her plane.
"I got her," he said, his voice not nearly loud enough. He cleared his throat and tried again but louder this time. "She's over here!"
"Maverick, we got her! We need a search and rescue party now!"
"Stay there," Maverick instructed through their headsets. "We're sending one to your coordinates now."
Hangman didn't move his plane an inch. Instead, he stayed right where he was and kept a close eye on Y/N's unconscious body. He wanted nothing more than to dive into that water and swim to her. Instead, he hovered close enough to keep an eye on her as the ship sent a medical boat to their location. Hangman watched as the divers pulled her out of the water and safely onto the boat.
Once they had her, Hangman sped back to the ship. He landed and instantly jumped out of his plane and ran as fast as he could to the infirmary. When he got there, they were just bringing her in.
"Y/N?" Hangman panicked. His heart jumped into his throat when he caught a glimpse of her unconscious and pale body.
"Woah, stop," Maverick said as he grabbed Hangman before he could run into the exam room. "The doctors have her. They will do whatever they can to help her."
Hangman looked behind Maverick to see the exam doors close, separating him from the girl of his dreams.
"They will come get us as soon as they have any news about Lieutenant Y/L/N's status," he said with a knowing look in his eyes. Maverick wasn't sure how Hangman and Y/N were connected, but one look at the worry in his eyes and Maverick knew there was something.
"I just want to. . . I wish there was. . ." Hangman stuttered. "I just want to help her, Mav."
"All we can do now is relax and wait," Maverick said gently. Maverick studied him briefly before finally asking, "How well do you know Lieutenant Y/L/N?"
"Y/N and I were in training camp together," Hangman sighed as he sat in a nearby chair. "Some guys in our group were giving her a hard time. I defended her and after that, we got close. We ran together, trained together, studied together. We did everything together until we got our orders to ship out. We were sent to different ships and. . . I haven't talked to her since she shipped out. I tried to keep track of her but. . ."
Maverick waited for him to continue, but Hangman got distracted by his memories. Maverick sat next to him and gently patted his shoulder. "The good news is we found her," Maverick tried to comfort him. "The doctor told me that he thinks we got to her just in time."
"That's good," Hangman said numbly, "I guess."
The rest of their team slowly trickled in as they waited. Two hours later, the doctor finally came out.
"How is she?" Hangman panicked as he jumped up and met the doctor.
"She's okay," the doctor reassured. "She's dehydrated, a little sunburned, and has a slight concussion from the crash. Honestly, she should be way worse. She's extremely lucky."
"So, she's going to be okay?" Hangman double-checked.
"She's going to be fine," he nodded. "All she needs is a couple of good nights' sleep and some healthy meals. She should be back on her feet in a few days. I would, however, recommend that she not return to her ship just yet."
"Why not?" Bob asked.
"Well," the doctor sighed, "if we send her back to her ship, they will most likely put her back in a plane. She may be physically alright, but we have no idea how she is mentally. And that's something we can't check or test until she wakes up."
"Thank you," Maverick said, shaking the doctor's hand before he went back to Y/N.
"Wait," Hangman said, jogging to catch up to the doctor. "Is there. . . I was just wondering. . . I know her and. . . I was hoping. . ."
"She's not awake," the doctor said gently, "but you can sit by her bed until she does."
Hangman took that invitation and instantly went into Y/N's room. When he saw her asleep in the bed, his heart broke. He numbly walked over and collapsed into the chair next to the bed. He scanned her, searching for any injuries. She had a pretty big gash on her forehead, pieces of glass were taken out of her face, and she had bruises across her chest from her harness.
With shaking hands, Hangman reached over and gently grabbed Y/N's hand. "I'm right here, Y/N," he whispered. "And I'm not going anywhere until you wake up."
* * * * *
Y/N was unconscious for the next 14 hours. Hangman stayed by her side the entire time. His crew tried to get him to leave, but he refused. He barely ate and didn't sleep as he waited for her to wake up. He was starting to fall asleep when he felt her hand tighten around his.
"Y/N?" He whispered.
"Jake?" Hangman instantly leaned forward when he heard her beautiful voice whisper his name. "What are we. . . I thought you were. . . Where am I?"
"It's okay," he instantly soothed. "What matters is that you're safe. What do you remember?"
"I don't know," she said, shakily. "It was supposed to be a simple mission. But. . . I was shot down."
Hangman tightened his grip on her hand and scooted closer to her. He watched, his heart breaking as she remembered what happened. When the tears started streaming down her face, he gently caught one with his thumb. He kept his hand on her face as he tried to comfort her.
"Y/N," he said gently, "everything's okay. You're safe, okay? We found you and we are going to take care of you."
"Jake?" Her voice broke. He moved his hand from her face and scooted closer to her.
"Yeah?"
"Were you the one that found me?"
"Well," he cleared his throat, "I just. . . My whole team was there."
"But you found me," she said, already knowing the answer. "Right?"
Hangman laughed awkwardly as he reached up and scratched the back of his neck.
"I knew it," she chuckled weakly. Hangman felt his face burn as she smiled at him.
"How'd you know?" He chuckled.
"I like to think I know you pretty well, Seresin."
Hangman smiled when he remembered why she never liked calling him Hangman. She actually hated his callsign. She always said it didn't fit him. And when it came to her, she was right. He'd never hang her out to dry.
"Because," she continued, "You always find me when I'm in trouble."
"I would've searched the entire ocean for you," Hangman mumbled. Y/N's face softened when she saw the seriousness in his eyes.
"Jake," she whispered as she grabbed his hand and pulled him toward her. He didn't fight her as she pulled him down so he was lying next to her.
"I'm really glad you found me," she whispered, cuddling into his chest.
"Me too," he mumbled as he looked down and saw the exhaustion in her eyes. "I promise I won't let you out of my sight this time."
She let out a small giggle causing him to tighten his arms around her.
"I've really missed you, Seresin."
He looked at her and watched her eyes flutter closed. He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head.
"I've really missed you too, Y/L/N."

if you're okay with the other dagger members, "memorizing their favourite things and treating them when they have a bad day" with mickey (fanboy) please? :')
A/N: Surprise! I rewatched Top Gun: Maverick tonight and since falling in love with Joaquin from Marvel, I have also now totally fallen in love with Fanboy. I've had this request in my inbox for a long time – like the last time I wrote for Top Gun which was... 2023 or early 2024? I cannot remember. Anyway, I'm so sorry this took me forever to get around to, anon! I hope that if you're still around on my blog, you'll enjoy this fic now that I've finally written it. I'm definitely gonna be writing more for Fanboy and for the rest of the Top Gun crew cause my inspiration for writing them again is so strong at the moment. Anyway, enjoy – and remember my requests are always open!
In hindsight, Mickey Garcia should have asked for help getting everything from his car to the Hard Deck. He’d put a few things in a bag, but it was still incredibly awkward to hold it all and he could only hope that someone would be kind enough to open the door with him. He’d already had to kick the door to his truck shut with his foot.
The whole team was meeting up at the bar tonight, celebrating a successful training day – though it hadn’t been super successful for all of you. You’d made a mistake and been absolutely reamed by Maverick and Cyclone. It’d almost made you decide not to come out tonight, but Natasha had convinced you to come along, saying it’d help to be around your team rather than be alone.
Mickey had made his decision pretty quickly and as soon as you’d all been dismissed, he’d hopped into his truck and spent his few spare hours driving around the city and collecting things for you.
He’d been keeping a list in the notes section of his phone about things you deem your ‘favourite things in life’ ever since he first started falling for you. Considering how long ago that was, he long since should have confessed but when it came to you, well… the poor aviator was tongue tied more often than not.
Chocolate (specifically anything with caramel)
Iced Coffee (but not too much ice)
Romance books.
Sunflowers.
He’d selected a handful of things off your list and done his best to track them all down – even going so far as to arrange them in a small hamper. Well… it had meant to be small. But things had gotten a little out of hand at the bookstore and instead of leaving with one book like he’d planned, he’d ended up asking for recommendations and had left with four. That, along with three blocks of chocolate, a bouquet of sunflowers and an extra large iced coffee (without too much ice), were what he was attempting to safely get inside.
You were none the wiser to Fanboy’s plans, sitting in the corner with the other members of the team. Nat was sat beside you, nursing her first beer of the night, and Jake and Javy were just starting a game of pool with the others. It was difficult for you to really focus on your friends rather than the words swimming in your mind, berating you for your mistake.
Everyone said it was an easy enough mistake to make – it could’ve been anyone – but in the real world, not in a training exercise, you know it could’ve cost you or someone else their life.
You’re just about to get up and head to the bar to get your first drink of the night in an attempt to numb the thoughts in your head when you spot Fanboy making his way through the room. It’s not busy yet, but with what the man is carrying, he knocks into several people on his way over towards you.
“What the hell is he doing?” Nat says from beside you, beer paused halfway to her mouth.
“Has he organised a date or something?” Bob asks, sitting across the table from you, his eyes also focused on Fanboy. He looks just as confused as the rest of you do – your whole team now staring at him.
He stops when he reaches your table, huffs out a breath and then grins. “Hey guys.”
“You good, Fanboy?” Nat questions, motioning to the flowers, coffee and the bag in his hands.
“Yeah, I’m good!” He seems chirpy, as usual. He puts the bag down on the table, it making a thudding noise as it hits the wood. Whatever is in there must be pretty heavy. Then, he surprises you by making his way around the table to where you’re sitting. “So, this is for you.” He hands you the iced coffee he’s holding, as well as the incredibly large bouquet of sunflowers – your favourite.
“For me?” Your eyebrows almost hit the roof.
You wouldn’t be lying if you said you thought Mickey was cute. You had done ever since you’d first met him a long time ago now. Part of you had always wondered ‘What if?’ but the reasonable part of you that refused to let yourself date co-workers or fellow aviators won out every time. But here he was… delivering you flowers and iced coffee?
“Yeah, the ice might be a bit melted by now – it’s like a hundred degrees out there – but I blasted my air con the whole way here so I could try and keep it cool,” he explains, so incredibly nonchalantly despite the fact that he’s clearly gone out of his way to do this. “And I know sunflowers are your favourites so…”
“How do you know that?”
He shrugs his shoulders. “I just remember you mentioning it one time.”
He figures you don’t need to know about the note on his phone – not just yet, anyway. He could save that for if he ever actually gets the courage to ask you on a date and confess his feelings to you. Right now, that would likely come across as a little creepy.
Nat pipes up. “What’s in the bag, Fanboy?”
“Oh, that!” He says, hurrying back over to the bag as if he’s forgotten it existed – truly, he kind of did. He was so focused on the look of pure happiness on your face that he forgot half your present was still waiting. “So, this…” He continues, carefully pulling the hamper out of the bag, “is also for you! I found you some books, I hope you haven’t read them yet.”
Before Mickey can even take a step towards you to give the hamper to you, you’re off your seat, hurrying over to him. He barely even has time to put the hamper on the table before you’re flinging yourself into his arms. He swears his heart stops and then re-starts at the sudden contact, the feeling of your body pressed into his.
Well… this is new.
“What the hell, Mickey?” Your voice is soft in his ear as you hug him tightly.
“I know you had a tough day so…” He mutters in reply.
“People usually just buy me a beer if I’ve had a tough day, they don’t go out and buy me all of my favourite things,” you laugh a little, pulling away from the hug. Mickey already misses the contact as you step away from him. “And you bought me books?”
You lean down to inspect the hamper on the table.
“Have you read any of them?” Mickey asks, watching you carefully. “If you have, I think I can exchange them. I kinda befriended the girl that works at the bookstore. She helped me pick them out.” She also definitely thought Mickey was buying books for his partner, so that was probably why she was so helpful – he knows that.
“No, but I’ve heard good things about this one!” You point at one of them, then turn back around to look at him. “You really didn’t have to do this, you know? I really would’ve been okay with a free beer and some good company.”
Mickey shrugs, suddenly a little shy. “You deserve it.”
“Okay, this is sweet and all,” Nat starts, immediately reminding both you and Mickey that you’re in the middle of a bar surrounded by your team and it’s not just the two of you. “But this does not mean you get to sit in the corner and read all night, okay? And I want a piece of that chocolate – the caramel swirl one.”
You laugh at her, shaking your head at how blunt she is, and turn back to Mickey. You surprise him again by reaching out your hand, taking his and giving it a squeeze. It’s like an electric shock travelling up his arm.
“Will you come sit with me?” You ask him. “We can read the summaries of all of the books you got me and you can help me decide which one to read first. Obviously when I get home, since I’ve been banned from reading here tonight.”
Mickey nods, already loving the idea just because it means he gets to sit next to you and spend more time with you. You don’t let go of his hand as you move back to where you were sitting before, making Nat shuffle up a bit so that Mickey can fit beside you on the booth.
“You really made my day, you know that?” You squeeze his hand again before letting go so you can grab the hamper and start to get the books out.
He can’t help the smile that comes to his face. “I’m glad I could make you smile.”

Anything #Stanley X military!reader would be appreciated 🙏🏻
This is such a good idea I'm surprised someone else hasn't written it or something.
*Future note: sorry this took so long*

Stanley Snyder x Military!Reader
Headcanons
Warnings: Mild angst and jokes abt the us government training, also maybe inaccurate descriptions of active service.
-------------------
"Man, I would kill for some free education."
Que the military horn blasting.
Most jokes aside, though, you were friends with the dynamic duo since middle school, and since you were nearing the end of the three of your government-required education, you all had to decide what to do now
Initially, you were going to do college with Xeno but after seeing the costs for things you decided on going Stanley with the military
And boy, are you starting to regret it? Seeing Stanley lose all his pretty hair made a tiny part of you die inside. But the hours, the training, the yelling—it was starting to drive you crazy. Stanley was stone-faced through all of it, and it felt like your hair was thinning just being there.
"How's basic so far?" -Xeno
"Is that Xe?"
"GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
Your legs still hurt from all the laps your commanding officer made you do that day.
After your basic training was done and you and Stanley's first few tours were done, it got easier.
When Stanley moved up in rank, he started fucking with you. He would abuse his rank over you just for shits and giggles. But that was just his way of showing he cared about.
One day, when you were both out on the field, something went wrong, causing you to get injured; he got you out of there and told you would be fine.
When you woke up, you were greeted With a stressed Stanley and a worried Xeno. You gave them a hello, and Xeno fussed about the scare you gave them both. Xeno only stopped when he noticed the look on the commander's face; he excused himself to give you both a moment.
While holding your hand, Stanley told you how he felt and loved you. You were crying at his heartfelt confession and returned his feelings.
"We're gonna have to fill out so much paperwork."
"You could retire early."
You argue a bit with him for a little bit before taking the early retirement option just to convince your new lover.
You stay with Xeno while Stanley continues his tours, spending time with him over the phone and when he's not deployed.
When you wake up to the stone world, you get to put to use your previous military expertise without the worry of ranking due to the current lack of government( Xeno accidentally overheard y'all having some private activities over communication lines he never forgets to announce himself afterward)
When the second Petrify beam hits everyone, you end up being leveraged on Xeno as well and probably would be the other option to be on the moon mission team
It would probably cause an argument between you and Stanley, you would still do the astronaut training with them holding on to some false hope that you could convince him to stay.
Regarding the final day before launch, you sat away from everyone, drinking quietly. Stan came and joined you, taking the drink out of your hands so you wouldn't drown in the thoughts behind the cup.
He runs his hands down your shoulder, telling you how much he loves you and about your good moments together. You break down in his arms, and the both of you spend the night with each other.
You send him off the next day with no regrets and hope in your heart that he'll return home to you safely, no matter how long it takes.
"And by the time you get home, you'll have a bigger family waiting for you." You say to yourself, holding your abdomen.

You know... >.>
My Dad always used to tell me, if I get a Genuine Genie(tm)? Get a lawyer first. Before I make my Wishes(tm), so they can help me word them correctly.
Obviously, a human lawyer would not be foolproof... BUT! What about a Ghost Lawyer?
Like? Obviously Desiree would be PISSED. How DARE you twist HER wish twisting! Her THING is "what you believe is your heart's desire always comes at a terrible cost" which is what she DIED to learn.
So obviously she would NEVER, willingly, bend her Obsession for ANYONE. And you'd have to make a DAMN good case to that Lawyer for why he ISNT breaking the law by helping you. Probably some "you can: save the life of an unconscious person against their will/shove an unobservant person OFF the train tracks, even if they get hurt, to save their life" clause.
Like? Using a ghosts Obsession against them? Bad. Illegal.
Using it against their will, to save OTHER ghosts, who are in immediate danger? Not illegal, but they will be PISSED. Still not great though, you will want to apologize and fast.
So like??? Reality Bending Power. Patrick Star Method of "what if we MOVED the city... somewhere else?" Considered at 1am. Team of Ghost Laywers, acquired.
Amity and all Limnals are REMOVED from the DP-verse.
Wish worded juuuuust so. Any ghost that forms there? Yoink! Instantly removed to the Zone. Natural Portals? Cut off. Let the whole Reality fade out at an accelerated rate, as no NEW energy is fed into the system. Entropy will do, what entropy does. Exactly as they wished it.
They hated Death so much, they speed up the heat death of their ENTIRE universe by Eons. Congratulations, you guys "Won". Enjoy the wildly more fragile flora, fauna, and general ecosystems. Now that none of you have that ambient Ectoplasm strengthening your bodies. Yeah, the things you used to shrug off? Those are gonna maim or kill you now.
Doesn't MATTER if you "learn your lesson" though! Cause this is WAY past that point! This is "cutting off the tumor before it kills us" territory, and buddy? Amity ISNT the tumor. Go forth a grow, just like you wanted.
They won't be here to fix your messes anymore.
Because Danny got himself a dictionary thick "I Wish..." contract. Which was worded, as it needs to be, in one loooooooong run on sentence. Shouted "I Wish what's written on THIS, as it is currently, and without any form of editing or negotiation!" As fast as he could. Yote the document in Desiree's direction. And Flew like an INCANDESCENTLY pissed off Genie was trying to set his everything of fire.
Which she was.
Thankfully, Paulina came in clutch with her History of all things Jewelry, world fashions, and Make-Up knowledge. That, coupled with the Power Of Rich Friends(tm)? (Sam. Her mother was THRILLED to take her Jewelry and clothing shopping for something other then blacks and dark purple. They went on a jet setting whurl-wind tour. Sam actually kinda liked a some of what she found.)
They have Apology Bribes.
They shamelessly HIDE behind the mountain of Apology Bribes, while they explain themselves. Is Desiree HAPPY? No. But those bracelets are magnificent and she DOES deserve nice things. Those silks will really bring out her eyes. And she... DOES... admit...
Maybe...
That things are not... SAFE. Any longer. Danny TRIES. Everyone else can see it. And he's made incredible strides! Even convinced his lunatic parents. Though they're still not quite POPULAR. (WAY too pushy and invasive with their questions, for most people.) But the fanatics in white?
They nearly killed Box Lunch. If her father hadn't BEEN there...
And the poor man will have that scar on his back for the rest of his afterlife. Desiree can see why Danny is pushing. Does she LIKE it? No. But...
She supposes she will content herself with the suffering of the Fanatics in White and all who support them. THEIR wishes, twisted. Their ugly heart's desires.
Fine.
"SO YOU WISH IT. SO IT SHALL BE!"
And? The ghost town of what WOULD of one day grown into Amity, had the witch's there not been found by those they had fled from, which sits in long rotted ruins, amongst the trees in nowhere Illinois? Poof! Two "Towns" are switched.
The roads out of town coming to a clean line stop, meeting not even goat paths. Just trees. Old growth.
But it's not ALL of Town, is it? Faces missing. New, confused, faces from every corner of the map, taking their place. No Limnal left behind. No supporter of the GIWs genocide, brought along. Family's kept together where they could be. But by the few, scared and upset, green flashing eyes of children in the crowd?
It seemed for some, it was easier to fear and hate, then love their children.
Already they were being gathered up by school teachers and PTA parents. As everyone tried to figure out what had happened. Concerned, quite muttering a dull roar as everyone tries to coordinate.
Red Huntress joins Danny and Dani in the Sky. She doesn't get a word in. Wanted to know what the HELL was going on. She was with her dad in Chicago! Dani was in Taiwan! Literally! As in, sitting in a SUBWAY station one second, the next? Outside!
But they don't get to demand those answers. Because there is a sonic boom on the horizon. And then? Floating... weird... not ghosts?
Uuuuuuhhhh?
Hi?
That much blue... sure is a Statement. Like the cape and... bloooomers? Shorts. Bikini bottoms? It.. it's a Cool Look, dude! No, really. They are being VERY supportive here! If YOU like it? That's the only thing that matters!
Red Huntress smacks the Danny/i's Repeated upside their heads and demans to know what the Not-Ghosts are doing in their airspace.
Oh YEAH. Good point! What she said! And can it WAIT? They're kinda going through A Thing right now...
Kon? Wants it on record he loves these guys. They're hilarious. The LOOK on Clark's FACE?? He wishes he could frame it. Preserve it for future generations. Thing is? There was NOT a town here a second ago.
Well, bout 30 minutes or so, but you get the idea. One moment? Tree noises. Bam! Thousands of people! Obviously the checked it out. Only to be met with two... three maybe? Heros who have NO IDEA who they are.
Clear Reality warping shenanigans. Might be time travel or multiverse. Question is... are they STAYING? And if SO? What now...

"Vet visits, kenneling, dog food" are "put on hold."
As Elon Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency continues to plunder the federal government, even the Transportation Security Administration's bomb-sniffing K9 units aren't safe.
According to an email obtained by Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin, "ALL requests for everything," for the pups, including "vet visits, kenneling, dog food, etc" have been "put on hold until we receive guidance."
The email was reportedly from the TSA's Security Operations National Explosives Detection Canine Program, which trains and deploys state and local law enforcement-led canine teams.
It remains unclear who authored the email or when it was sent, but given the fact that Griffin has shared what appears to be a smartphone picture of a screen, the email is possibly sensitive in nature. Futurism has reached out to the TSA for comment.
Over 300 dogs complete training at the program's facilities in Texas per year, according to an official website. It costs on average $33,000 to train a canine to detect explosives. More than 1,000 TSA canine teams are deployed nationwide, including passenger and cargo screening teams.
But given the latest news, the program has seemingly been ground to a halt.

A Touch of the Sun
Touch was not something freely given in the dark depths of the factory. Enemies and allies easily blended together, and the risk of trying to see which was which could cost you everything, so no risks were taken. Touch could kill, if you weren’t careful. So most of those that remained didn’t touch.
You suppose it should’ve been an obvious conclusion, not something that should’ve surprised you when you finally realized the extent of loneliness that plagued this place. But you often had other things to worry about, more immediate concerns that left little to no time to truly process and take in the world you’ve been engulfed by.
It wasn’t until you had Poppy’s tight curls slipping through your fingers, bits of debris and dirt caught in the shiny red now deposited into your hand, that things became more clear. You were careful, touch feather light, yet with every careful brush of her hair, the little doll’s body started to crumble in on itself.
She didn’t need to speak; you were sure she couldn’t do it right now even if she wanted to. You silently continued your ministrations as she trembled with soft sobs. And when you were done, when she turned into your retracting hand, her own gripping tight around your fingers, you let her have her moment. Let her have the touch of warm skin, calloused and dirty, but alive and real and certain.
Touch was like a promise to her. And you weren’t inclined to break it, even after the heavy and disorienting crash of the train. As peeved as you were, Poppy’s desperation and cute hugging of your hand to her side easily swayed you.
Kissy was different, somewhat. You knew she was lonely too, even without Poppy telling you. The way she walked, while loose and without hard point, was sluggish and slow. The way she stared off into nothing, through you, through anything in her way, spoke loudly in her own silence.
And the touch between you two came as a large, fuzzy pink paw on your face at random. Kissy found amusement in your initial surprise and unawares whenever she popped her hand to your face. As time passed, and you grew used to such affections, you still feigned the panicked unsureness of being suddenly blinded, if only to hear Poppy’s laugh and see Kissy’s own demeanor soften and relax into a satisfied mirth.
You three became at ease with one another. Moments of peace shared moments of touch, curious exploration of something lost for decades, or so it felt for you, though it was reality for the others.
Kissy found enjoyment in picking you up, arms wrapped tight around your torso as the rest of you dangled not unlike a fat cat in a determined toddler’s hug. Poppy discovered the tranquility of grooming one another, brushing hair and braiding what could be twisted together. Abandoned child’s makeup, nail polishes, and even some accessories still capable of their duties were decorated upon your visage by the careful porcelain hand of the elated Poppy.
By the time your fourth joined the team, you three were entangled and interwoven in little touches and affections. And thus, Dogday always had an interesting show to watch.
He wasn’t a stranger to your touch. After all, you pried him from the wall he was strung up against, and carried him through the tiny tunnels until you could bring him to your safe spot. And once situated with the elated Poppy and Kissy, Dogday still was fretted upon something fierce by you, flits of hands and cloths to try and help clean him, ease his pain, ease your own worry that you weren’t enough (something so untrue that he scoffed at the mere idea).
No, Dogday knew your gentle touch, and coveted it after so long without. But what you shared with the others, that was different.
You brushed Poppy’s hair whenever she asked, careful not to tug or yank at any tangles or caught debris. You held her in your palms, let her sit on your knees and paint your face in colors as she talked about hopes of the future, of a place outside of this one. You knocked your knuckle to her cheek whenever she began to spiral into worries. She lied on your stomach when you slept some nights, uncaring of the gentle rise and fall of your breathing.
It made Dogday want similar, especially when Kissy picked you up one day and you just laughed. Such a sound in the factory felt unreal, but it sounded divine. Ethereal. You were truly an angel, one of silly faces made into plush palms and unstaggering drive.
Dogday pushed up onto his arms. Lacking in legs made it easier to move this way, dragging himself across the floor to where Kissy was bapping her hands to your face as fast as light. Your sputtering and muffled laughter were balms to the dull aches that resonated his tired bones, all put to rest when he finally knocked your waving arm aside and collapsed into your lap.
You jolted under the weight of his body, but you didn’t curl away. You merely laughed more, your gentle hands combing through the matted fur atop his head without care. Poppy said something from somewhere, and you called back your answer, but Dogday didn’t hear much of it.
He felt like he was lying in the sun, covered in a gentle warmth that embraced his body and eased his pains into a perfect numbness. He could feel your heart beat against his cheek, strong enough to reach him even when rested on your thigh.
You were so warm, radiating it. And your nails began to run along his scalp, then down his neck, to between his shoulders. He wasn’t a cat, but he could’ve purred for you if you had asked. It was perfect, it was peace, and it was hope.
The end would come to the horrible chapter, and in the epilogue, maybe he could lie and feel the touch of the sun forever longer.

⭐︎Caught mid-laugh
with MICHAEL OLISE⭐︎

synopsis: To the public, Michael Olise barely speaks. But when Bayern’s training vlog accidentally captures him giggling at you on FaceTime—soft voice, dimples out fans go feral. Turns out, behind all that mystery is a man hopelessly in love… and now the whole world knows. @muglermami

The thing about you and Michael is… people think they know him.
They see the stone-cold game face. The media-trained, one-word press answers. The serious glare that never cracks unless he’s scoring or assisting. Fans have memes about how he probably blinks once a day and only talks to pass the ball.
And then there’s you.
Animated. Loud. Laughs with your whole chest. You speak with your hands. You’ve never been able to hide what you feel, and honestly? You don’t want to.
You’d once asked him, “Do I embarrass you?”
He blinked slow—his signature move—and said, “Nah. You just talk enough for both of us.”
You threw a pillow at his head, and he caught it one-handed, smirking like he wasn’t completely in love.
That’s the thing. Michael Olise in public? Mysterious. Cold. Emotionally unavailable.
Michael Olise with you?
An absolute simp.
He listens to you rant about TikTok drama like it's a tactical team talk. He ties your shoes if he sees they’re loose. He reads the books you recommend and acts like he hated them, but then quotes them back to you during random convos. He sends you voice notes with sleepy “good morning” mumbles, and “love you, be safe” before every shoot you do.
But no one knows.
Because Michael’s private. Has always been. You two post the occasional soft-launch—photos of feet, a mutual blurry selfie, a shadow. Nothing ever too on-the-nose. You were cool with that.
Until the day “The Clip” dropped.
It was meant to be a regular behind-the-scenes clip—pre-training vibes for Bayren's tiktok, just casual footage of the boys arriving, stretching, messing around in the locker room. Classic background music, subtitles, fun energy.
Then came your moment—unintended, barely three seconds long, but enough to end the internet.
The camera had panned past a few players before pausing briefly on Michael, who was leaned against the wall, in full kit, hood up, phone to his ear. He hadn’t noticed the camera yet.
And just in time, the mic caught it
A soft laugh. His laugh.
And then—clear as day, in that low, boyish voice of his,“You’re such an idiot… you know that?”
And he giggled.
Not just a smirk. Not the subtle nose-exhale. A giggle. Full dimples, head-tilt, “I-like-you-more-than-I-admit” kind of giggle.
Then he clocked the camera, side-eyed it, pulled the phone slightly lower and shook his head like don’t even start.
But it was too late.
The comment section? Unhinged.
“WHO IS HE GIGGLING FOR???”
“Michael Olise?? Said that?? With EMOTION??”
“I’ve never heard him speak above a whisper and now he’s in love??”
“Y’all… he said ‘you’re such an idiot’ and laughed like it was the cutest thing ever i’m sick”
“Okay whoever that girl is—protect her at all costs she has a superpower”
“Nah. I can’t even get a guy to double-text back and she’s got Olise giggling???”
Your phone blew up within the hour. Friends sent you the video. Even your coworkers were texting like: “Hey um. Isn’t this your man?”
At first, you were nervous. You asked Michael, “Are you mad?”
He shrugged, laying with his head in your lap while you scrolled through the memes. “Nah. I think they needed to know.”
“Know what?”
He looked up at you with that soft, unreadable expression.
“That I’m happy.”
Your heart thudded.
You bent down to kiss his forehead, and he sighed into your touch like it was home then you laughed.
“They caught you slipping.”
He blinked at you through the screen, all mock-annoyed. “Why do you sound proud?”
“Because I’ve been trying to prove you’re soft for months. Bayern did it for me in HD.”
He rolled his eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. “You are an idiot though.”
You grinned, and he added quietly, “Yeah your favorite one.”
When the next day reached, by then the clip was everywhere.
The FaceTime. The giggle. The “you’re such an idiot” line that had fans writing fanfic and over-analyzing your nonexistent social media presence.
Bayern hadn’t posted anything since, but the damage was already done.
Michael Olise was officially a taken man—and the world was obsessed.
So of course, when Bayern did a sit-down player interview a week later, it was one of the first questions the host brought up.
She smiled innocently. “So, Michael… the fans have been asking—who made you giggle like that in training?”
Michael looked up from adjusting his sleeves. Pause. Blink. The classic Olise hesitation.
The smirk twitched.
He rubbed the back of his neck.
“I don’t… giggle.”
The host laughed. “You did, though. We’ve all seen it.”
He bit his lip, looked down like he was debating whether to lie or deflect. But then?
He smiled.
Not the usual little half-smirk. A real one. Dimples and all.
“…Just someone who makes me laugh,” he said simply.
“A girlfriend?” the interviewer prompted.
He paused, then nodded. “Yeah.”
The host grinned. “Is she as funny as you looked in that clip?”
Michael chuckled under his breath. “Funnier. Way too dramatic. But yeah… she’s funny.”
The internet? Screamed.
“‘Too dramatic’ is boyfriend language. I KNOW IT WHEN I SEE IT.”
“I need that girl to run a TED Talk on how she got Michael Olise to be soft.”
“We better never find her. She deserves peace and a lifetime of giggles.”
You watched the clip on your phone while walking to his place, smiling to yourself the whole way.
You: they asked about me lol Michael: u watched it? You: yeah. you were nervous 😭 Michael: u would be too if the whole world knew how soft i am You: but you are 🥹 Michael: stfu❤️
When he got home that night, he found you in his hoodie, curled up on the couch, watching a movie with popcorn in your lap.
He dropped his bag, walked over, and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
“People know now,” you teased, tilting your head back to look up at him.
He shrugged. “Let them.”
And with that, Michael Olise sat down next to you, laced his fingers with yours, and quietly let the world see the side of him that only you ever got to see.
The one who giggled.
The one who loved.
The one who’d always been yours.

There’s Still a Higher Ladder to Climb
PAIRING: Miyabi x Male Reader (Romantic) (Fluff)
SUMMARY: Miyabi saves (Y/N), who she finds to be very entertaining.
You got abducted by a big name gang. They held you for ransom. Why? Because your father was a very lucrative businessman closely associated with Souichirou Hoshimi. You didn’t have any real money or a trust fund to your name yet, but your net worth and possible inheritance begged to differ.
Of course since you’re such an important figure, Section 6 was hand chosen to rescue the son of the biggest ether corruption clinic in all of New Eridu. Miyabi was especially interested in this because of your father’s connection to hers; she didn’t know anything about you, but she knew that your father was of great importance and utmost respect.
Naturally this led to her team tracking your captors within Hollow Zero at a lightning speed. The gang were noticeably frightened at the news of the youngest Void Hunter personally coming to see them. Tried as they might to quickly evacuate, their large numbers were nothing for the Section 6 to handle. Swiftly and safely, you were rescued.
However being so far deep into Hollow Zero meant that it’d be a dangerous journey back out; especially in Miyabi’s case when she had to take care of an overly enthusiastic and curious rescuee.
“Man, thanks again for the quick response time! Another minute in there and I swear they would’ve started draining my ether resistance to cause panic.” (Y/N) spoke nonchalantly about the deadly situation he was just in. Miyabi looked at him skeptically with her ears twitching slightly.
“You talk as if your survival was guaranteed.” She said. He looked at her with a grandiose smile, arms behind his head and a skip to his step.
“I’d expect nothing less of a Void Hunter. It’s cool that heroes like you exist.” (Y/N) kept walking forward, not noticing the lack of an accompanying shadow. He turned around in confusion at the now downcast Miyabi.
She looked at him with a frown. “Being a hero comes with unimaginable costs.”
He looked at her with a smile. “It’s the ability to fight past those costs and look towards the greater good that makes someone a hero.” Miyabi’s frown didn’t disappear. But she nodded nonetheless.
They conversed for what felt like hours. Walking side by side as Miyabi escorted (Y/N) outside of Hollow Zero. After finally getting close to an exit, (Y/N) crouched down. Miyabi watched him intently as he took deep breaths.
“What’s wrong?” She asked impatiently. He shook his head.
“Nothing…just…,” he took an even deeper breath and laughed, “It sucks that I can’t make you smile.” Miyabi’s eyes widened. For a moment she almost thought this was his profound way of transforming into an ethereal. She gripped her blade in anticipation. (Y/N)’s eyes widened in turn, throwing up his hands in defense. “Relax! I just don’t want you to go home looking so depressed.”
Once again her eyes widened. She only now realized how much her face hurt from being scrunched the whole way. She placed her hands on her hips, “Then this shall be your training: make me smile.” Already she could feel a tug at her lips just from the silly proclamation.
“Alright! I won’t lose Mini Miyabi!”
She pouted. “I’m 170 centimeters tall.”
He smirked. “Including the ears.”
Miyabi stomped forward, ears flattened. “Your ether aptitude can’t be that high. We can continue this later.” She handed (Y/N) a piece of paper with her number. Afterwards urging him to move forward outside the hollow.
All the while she ignored the weird way her stomach turned at the thought of another meeting.

“So young and pretty, it’s too bad they passed”
- In my room _ By insane clown posse
Aeon of light!Gn Reader X various Hsr women hcs
Characters (Ruan Mei, Kafka, Robin, Himeko, Black Swan, Natasha)
Gn Reader being forgotten Aeon of Light, keeping their distance around any human life as they wandering peacefully around the universe. Having great and powerful strength, only to be degraded by other, stronger Aeons. They hid their identity but that would soon change as these women found Gn reader and took them in...
Warnings: slight ooc? MEN OR HOMOPHOBIC DNI
Author's note: first fic post like actually :p hope you like this! I'm open to criticism and improvement! Sorry for bad English, its not my first language and im dyslexic :(

Ruan mei
The scientist who found you wandering all alone in the secluded zone, the poor Aeon got lost and ended up in the Herta space Station..
Lucky for you, That was the day Ruan Mei visited. You explored the Secluded area, seeing a lot of these critters around.
feeling curious you picked up one of them, only to hear mechanical noises of a door being opened behind you. You turned around seeing the Scientist who created these critters herself. . .
“How interesting . . “ the scientist spoke to herself in a monotone manner
Eventually Ruan Mei soon took you in, doing some simple experiments for her study.
“Hold still , this would be less painful if you stop with the unnecessary movement .”
You could only sit and watch idly as the scientist takes some blood sample from you for her research on an extraordinary being like you

Kafka
Kafka found you during one of her missions, She took you in, saying how it was “destiny’s plan”, how both of you were destined to meet eventually. . .
Elio had already told her it was part of her “script” meeting with you and bringing you with. . .
The stellaron hunter knew you could be a great addition to their team— I mean just imagine a powerful yet forgotten Aeon of Light in the stellaron hunters team ?! Not to mention you would also be a great sparring partner
“You’re pretty strong Y’know ?
Great for me to test my skills on without you dying ~ “
Jokes aside Kafka is actually very gentle and caring about you, aware of the fact you don’t know a lot about how humanity lived (considering you kept your distance around them), she would teach you how to blend in and live a life like the rest . . .

Robin
By the time you got to Penacony, you were immediately drawn to this ethereal singing . . .
When you saw Robin for the first time, you were mesmerized by her beauty as she sang. . . Her looks reminded you one of an Angel, a beautiful one, you couldn’t take your eyes off her
The two of you became fast friends, Robin would guide you around Penacony, she was like your tour guide, showing you around the dreamscape.
Robin was actually very supportive about your whole Aeon of Light thing, and just like Kafka, she would often accompany you and teach the ways to live like the rest
her brother Sunday doesn’t actually approve of you though , he’s suspicious of you and Robin’s relationship but ether way Robin would ensure you he means good
“Don’t mind my brother . .
He’s just concerned about me . .”

Himeko
Himeko found you in one of express’s trailblazer missions right after they left penacony, Himeko took it upon herself to take care of you, aware of the fact you still felt unsure about the rest of the members
The navigator would often let you sleep in her cabin, accompanying you as you would always feel comfortable in her embrace . .
It’s not a surprise you would avoid any contact with the other members of the train. . Either way, when the others set out for another expedition, you would stay behind with Himeko, making sure Himeko is protected and safe at all costs . . .
Maybe because you’re close or maybe because she reminds you of a certain someone in The past you can’t quite identify. . (Doing this cuz i miss murata himeko)
“You’re clingy sometimes you know..?
Who knew the Aeon of Light could act like a clingy love sick puppy at times ?”

Black swan
When you enter penacony, you haven’t seen black swan just yet. . She would be keeping an eye on you from a distance before actually revealing who she is . . (She gives me stalker vibes idk)
She finds you intriguing . . She would observe how you behave for a few days or so and by the looks at it- you clearly don’t know how to act properly around others let alone socialize . .
That’s when the Memokeeper decided to step out of her “bird hide” enough with watching you like a delicate bird unaware of her keen eyes
“What’s an interesting being like you wandering all alone in this dreamscape ?”
Black swan would look into your memories aswell . . Witnessing your past . . Aswell as the memories of being degraded by other Aeons and being forced to live in the shadows of the universe to be left and forgotten. .
“What a poor birdie you are . .” The woman would whisper
“Don’t worry dear ~ I’ll make sure to take care of you ”

Natasha
As soon as you got to Belobog, you were immediately sent to the underground. . .
Let’s just say the guards gave you a not so “friendly” Welcome, which lead to fighting- a lot of fighting-
The fight eventually forced you to be sent to the underground
Natasha was the first to find you, you met her while she was doing some errands . . . Seeing that Natasha was actually kind and gentle with you, you stayed by her side, helping her in the clinic and with the kids
Eventually, Natasha introduced you to the other wildfire members, you started helping in the underground, being a big help in taking care of the people there, like the underground’s guardian.
you would help with the wildfire’s fights, often getting all bruised up since you force yourself to not use your full power.. but whenever you do, atleast you have your trusty doctor to patch you back up
“Just be careful next time okay sweetie?” She would often tell you

Warnings: Toxic relationship, homophobia, mommy issues
"I wanna make you drive all night just because I said, "Maybe you should come over" Wanna make you fall in love as hard as my poor parents' teenage daughter She'll be the best you ever had if you let her"
---------------------
Present
"How do you know she was the one?"
How did I know she was the on? Maybe it was the way that she made me feel? When we were together it was a mess, we were a mess. But when we are apart? My heart and soul long for her. I could never let her go, it is never going to happen.
"I never said that." I answered to the question.
"I know, but you implied it." She took a long breath before continuing what she was going to say. "Listen Y/N, if this is going to help you need to work with me. I can only help you so much, the real work comes from your side."
"I do really want your help, I really do! I just don't know how."
"Okay, then let's start from the beginning, tell me about how you met."
. . .
April, 2022
"I don't know what you're getting so worked over Y/N."
"This is a big deal for me Abby! What if it goes really bad and I end up blowing it up?" I sigh before setting my coffee down.
"It won't blow up, trust me" Abby said with a reassuring nod.
"And..." She continued, "If you happened to meet a super hot lesbian footballer, give her my number!" She winked at me.
"Abigail, I won't do that!"
"Not even for Lucy Bronze?" She asked me with a pleading look.
"Not even for Lucy Bronze."
I checked my clock and saw that the training started soon.
"I have to go! Can't risk getting late for my first day." I said excitingly.
"Take some hot pics of Bronzy for me! And don't forget to send them to me, for you know a second opinion."
. . .
Present
"Did you ever feel safe talking to Abby about your feelings?" My therapist asked me.
"Abby is my best friend, and I do love her with all my heart, but I never felt comfortable talking about her about those feelings." I said with an emphasis on those.
"Can you try to explain why to me?"
"I never really understood why, I still don't, but I would guess it was because of how open she was about it and I wasn't."
"Did you ever think about coming out to her?"
I took a deep breath and started getting ready to answer the question. I could feel my hands shaking and heart beating faster.
"I guess at one point I wanted to, but I would always get reminded of what happened with my mother." I took another deep breath before continuing, "I wanted to tell her about me and Leah so badly, I really did, but I just couldn't. It wasn't even like I was trying to suppress my feelings for Leah to myself, it was just to others I did that."
. . .
April, 2022
"I am so sorry about the camera, I really didn't mean for it to happen. I can pay you for the cost!" She said in a panic.
"Don't worry, it's not me you should be worrying about because this isn't my personal camera. I got it from the media team." I told her.
"Still, I am sorry!" She looked at me. God, she has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.
"It's okay, really." I reassured her, again.
"This is a really bad way of introducing myself." She laughed. "I'm Leah" She struck out her hand for me to shake. I took her hand and answered.
"I'm Y/N."
. . .
Present
"Leah would try to tell me that it was okay, but I never listened to her. I should've and we would've maybe still been together."
"Did you ever feel like Leah was pushing you?" My therapist looked me deep in the eyes.
"She never meant for-" I started before she interrupted me.
"Y/N, did you ever feel like Leah tried to force you to come out? It's a yes or no question and the only one that know that answer to that is you! I am not interested in what she meant or didn't mean, this is not about her it's about you!" She looked at me with a sharp glance.
"Yes, yes it did feel like that to times. It was the reason for most of our fights. She would ask me to stop hiding her and I would tell her that I never meant for that, I just wasn't ready." I sighed. "I understand how she would feel like that though. I wouldn't want that either, but it just didn't feel like she understood where it came from."
. . .
January, 2023
"I just don't understand Y/N! Why can't you just tell Abby at least? She would understand!" She yelled.
"I get that she would understand, Leah! But that isn't the point! I'm just not ready." I tried to explain.
"What are you waiting for Y/N? There's nothing stoping you from telling her, what's the big deal?" She said.
"What's the big deal? Leah, how coming out not a big deal?" I yelled at her, at this point I was furios.
"You've already come out to your mum, why can't you just come out to Abby?" She questioned.
"And how did that go Leah? She hasn't talked to me since!" I felt the tears in my eyes at this point. How could she not understand. "I thought that you of all people would understand Leah, but I guess you're just like everyone else."
"I tried not to be! But you never gave me any other choices. I want to be with someone who will drive the whole night just to be with me, but you can't even tell people about our love. Y/N, I'm not your waiting room, I can't be."
. . .
Present
"That's the last I've heard from her." At this point I was sobbing. "I tried texting her and calling her but she blocked me. She doesn't want anything to do with me." I tried to calm down, but it didn't help. "After this, I told Abby. I had to tell her. If I just told her sooner, maybe I still would've had Leah. But it's too late now."
. . .
The end.

Do you have any fun ideas or headcanons regarding Aku and Jack's relationship? It's so weirdly casual sometimes
sure, a few random thoughts:
1- there oughta be more incidents where they show up to battle and one of them is like "i'm sorry, i'm just not feeling it today, can i take a rain check on this fight?" and the other one instead of going TIME TO PUSH MY ADVANTAGE AND FINISH HIM OFF FOR GOOD just goes "ah, yeah, sure, how do you feel about Tuesday" without even thinking about it. because it's funny. in canon typically aku's the one who goes whoa time out so we need some times where jack does it and aku's just like sure.
2- I think it'd be really easy to force Aku & Jack to team up. All you have to do is have Earth get invaded by something more threatening than Aku. The show's established that Jack's sword is the only thing that can kill Aku, but it's not the only thing that can overpower Aku; just within the show we know that the goddess of water is strong enough to prevent Aku from stealing her jewel, there's gotta be other forces that can take him.
Aku wants to hold Earth at any cost. Enough to recruit Jack? Sure; it's not the first time he's exploited Jack to achieve one of his villainous goals.
Jack wants to save Earth from evil at any cost; and Aku is an evil dictator who's hard to defeat, but this alien conqueror is an even more evil dictator who's even more difficult to defeat and whom Jack HASN'T spent his whole life specifically training to defeat. So better to work with Aku to defeat a would-be conqueror so that Jack only has to fight Aku, rather than let this other conqueror take out Aku and then try to fight that new conqueror without a superpowered shapeshifter's assistance.
It also doesn't necessarily have to be an evil conqueror. (Or, well, not conventionally "evil" by the way the show defines the good/evil dichotomy as something that can be inborn & tangible.) Like, say the gods that slew the black mass go "okay it's taking too long to kill Aku and we don't want his influence to spread off Earth. better just blow up Earth to be safe, we don't want a tiny scrap of Aku escaping like last time." Aku doesn't want that, Jack doesn't want that, now they have to team up. It's probably fine to kill some gods as long as you're eventually planning to go back to the past and undo the circumstances that necessitated killing the gods in the first place, right? right??
lots of options! If you wanna make it happen, you can make it happen.
3- if you headcanon that Aku spawned already knowing stuff because he was, like, absorbing info from his immediate environment and/or sucking info out of the brains of his victims or whatever (which is what I headcanon), then that means he and Jack basically come from the same culture, Fantasy Kingdom in Fantasy Japan. And Aku gave himself a Japanese name (and kept it for millennia rather than telling people to call him "Evil" in their own languages) so like, it seems likely that he was somehow magically culturally Japanese from birth.
And that means they're the only two people in the future from this culture. Jack runs into a few people trying to maintain Japanese culture, but they're thousands of years removed from the world he knew. If he wants to talk to somebody who knows and understands the world he grew up in, his options are this one immortal Shaolin monk (who's Chinese, so not quite from home), aaand Aku himself.
Which you can use for angst, of course. But you can also use it for clowning around.
Aku's at some meeting trying to strike up an alliance (which he totally plans to violate) with some alien demigod or whatever, and he's sucking up to the demigod to their face, and then under his breath he's talking shit about them in 5000-year-old Japanese, and one of the servants at this meeting involuntarily snort-laughs so hard he drops his tray, and Aku goes "what? ... THERE'S ONLY ONE HUMAN IN THE WORLD WHO COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT I JUST SAID" and jack rips off his disguise and goes for his sword and curses himself for his mistake but unfortunately aku was right the demigod's face DOES look like a goat's butthole and he did NOT expect to hear aku say that how was jack supposed to not laugh
Jack compares Aku to the villain in some play that was popular when he was a kid and Aku's like "that villain was a boss tho" and Jack goes "HE WAS LITERALLY EXECUTED AT THE END" and Aku goes "THANKS TO A BADLY-WRITTEN PLOT TWIST AND A DEUS EX MACHINA" and Jack goes "LIKE THE DEUS EX MACHINA I'M WIELDING??" and now they're arguing about the plot of a play that's been forgotten for millennia while a dozen allies/minions stand around awkwardly waiting for them to get to the point.
Jack's taking a day off because today happens to be some holiday from his home and he's confused that no one else seems to be working that day and everyone's like "oh yeah Aku kept that holiday, he actually liked it" and as much as Jack hates Aku for destroying all the good things from the past, now he kind of hates Aku for preserving one good thing, like what could this day possibly mean to Aku, how dare he taint it with his evil. (it's probably, like, Fantasy Japan Arbor Day or something. Aku's a tree, of course he kept tree day.)
Jack's taking a day off because it's his birthday and there's a huge festival going on in the city and he goes "what??" and everyone's like "oh yeah annual holiday, it's Aku's birthday" and that fucks Jack up a little.
4- the title of the guy in charge of commanding samurai was "shogun." Like that's what the word MEANS, it's the general who runs the army during an era when the army consisted of samurai. and Aku calls himself "the shogun of sorrow." which makes it interesting that the only threat to Mr. Guy-In-Charge-Of-Samurai is a single very determined samurai.
I imagine that for perhaps thousands of years—probably before he got his robot army—Aku likely had an army of samurai. Either humans forced to fight for him, evil humans voluntarily fighting for him, or some sorta shadow demon things he created himself.
(i think, in spite of Jack's influence, Aku may still have a tendency to turn to samurai as his default idea of Something That Should Be Fighting For Me—but that's a whole nother headcanon post.)
Jack doesn't seem to dig much into the history of Aku's rule—he's much more preoccupied with the current state of Aku's rule—but if he does do even a little digging, he'd probably find that, for millennia, the image of samurai has been Aku's earliest and most loyal warriors.
and if you roll with this headcanon, it says a lot that it took so little time for Aku to start using the phrase "the samurai" to mean "that one specific samurai that isn't loyal to me." Millions, perhaps billions of samurai may have been in his army over the millennia; but the one that stands out—THE samurai—is Jack.
5- idk if it says anything about his relationship to Jack Specifically but it's wild to me that Aku just left what's left of Jack's homeland. When Jack transported into the future, I assumed the city he ended up in was the same location he'd just left, and Aku had just stayed put for the next few millennia building the place up into his capitol as he expanded over the rest of the world. But no, Jack finds the ruins of his home, abandoned.
You could use it as an example of Aku's callousness—he was born here, he got his start here, but it meant so little to him that he just moved out one day without a glance back and didn't even think about the devastation he'd left behind. But that doesn't quite ring true to me. This location is ground zero for Earth's Aku-ification but it seems almost untouched by Aku's influence, as if he'd never been there. It wasn't destroyed. It wasn't razed to the ground. It was never built over with something new. I feel like there's a deliberateness to that abandonment.
I feel like he wanted to give off the appearance of callous careless abandonment—"oh, this place means nothing to me. I care about it so little I'm not even interested in calling attention to it by destroying it! I have zero emotions about this place. So don't notice it. It doesn't tell you anything about my history."
