𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐟: 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐉𝐚𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐬 & 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?
The King and Queen of Westeros had 13 children altogether. Not all lived, well in the end ... none of them did except Vaegon and Saera. Jaehaerys ended up being the last person in his family to die. But what would have happened if everyone were given a dragon egg at birth or got the chance to bond with one? . ˚˖𓍢ִ໋₊˚ 🪷 ₊˚⋆.˚ 𖣂🌷⋆.˚
I'm only going to do this for those who lived into childhood. I'm also not using dragons from the future. I will create new dragons or use existing ones from this time. Also, I'm not going to mention those who already have a dragon... ⋆.°🦋༘⋆
We all know Jaehaerys had Vermithor, Alyssane with Silverwing, Aemon was bonded with Caraxes, Balerion with Vhagar and Alyssa with Meleys. This will not be changed.
𝑫𝒂𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒔
Second born child, their first girl. Named "the Darling of the Realm," she was curious, fearless, high-spirited and very adventurous. She was often covered in mud and grass-stained. She died young due to a fever. It killed many, many people; both young and old.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
Daenerys would have a cradle egg. Placed in there by her Aunt Rhaena. Her parents weren't too happy about it, but Rhaena reminded them that she did it for them both when they were babies.
The little princess named her 'Goldwing,' after ... well the dragons' golden colouring. The first time Dany hopped on her dragon's back was when she was ten. The two didn't go far, but they both loved it.
She's a she-dragon because she's laid a few clutches but only one hatched. One out of ten.
I think that there's a possibility that bonding with a dragon could have made her stronger. And the sickness might have caused other problems, but she wouldn't have died.

You can tell when Goldwing likes something; she makes these chirping noises and flaps her wings like a lil biridie
As soon as Goldwing hatched, she never left little Dany's side. At night she curled around her head, falling asleep with ease
Through the day the Gold dragon wraps itself around the princesses shoulders. Almost like a necklace when the dragon was younger
As they grew together, Dany preferred to be in the air rather than anywhere else.
It was almost like the pair could read each other's minds
Sneezes on people she doesn't like

𝑴𝒂𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆
Sixth born child, third daughter. In my opinion, I think she was given to the Septas to keep the peace. But it took away her ... life. Maegelle had a compassionate heart; she was gentle, caring, quiet and highly intelligent. She had a real gift for healing.
Whenever her parents fought, it was most likely Maegelle who would be the peace-maker. The one to help them see reason.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
Maegelle bonded with Balerion.
It was a shock to everyone. Someone so kind-hearted bonded with a giant called 'the Black Dread.' A conquorer's dragon.
But people tend to forget that his first rider was Daenys the Dreamer. She wasn't violent - she could dragon dream and ended up saving House Targaryen.
With this new power, Maegelle realised she wasn't under anyone's foot. She could make her own decisions, and they would be backed up by Balerion...who breathed fire. And so, Maegelle did not want to become a Septa. She didn't want it. Even though she was promised to them by her parents.
But Balerion put a stop to it. Maegelle did not run away, she only brought Balerion to the Red Keep and reminded her parents that she was her own person now.
Balerion isn't what people normally think. He isn't a raging beast. Balerion doesn't thirst for blood. He does as his rider says. And with Maegelle, he has peace.
𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒏:
⋆ ENTJ ⋆ Slytherin ⋆ Aries Sun, Capricorn Moon, Scorpio Rising
Loves sleeping in the sun
Way too big for the dragon pit, but Maegelle wouldn't force him in there anywhere
Maegelle's confidence grew exceptionally when she bonded with Balerion. She no longer felt meek nor mild.
The princess didn't hide her opinions anymore either. As she had the most legendary dragon; she would never say it out loud, but she felt invincible.
𝑽𝒂𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒏
Seventh born child, fourth son. Named, "Vaegon the Dragonless," he preferred the library and to read above anything else. Some say he's sour, though he never meant to be rude. He performed his duties but no more than he had to. He became an Archmaester and as such he held the ring, rod, and mask of yellow gold.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
Vaegon would be given countless chances to bond with a dragon. No interest in it. Eventually, one of the other dragons would lay a clutch of eggs and while studying, there'd be a pull. He went to see the lone dragon of Goldwing, his older sister's dragon.
He never got to see his dragon's egg. But looking at the youngling, Vaegon knew it was gorgeous. The look it gave him was unlike any other.
Vaegon decided on the name Tembyra (high valyrian for 'book'). He was about 17 when he first mounted his dragon. Green Tembrya was about 22 at the time, large enough to go far distances.
The joy Vaegon felt...
He understood.
Vaegon finally understood his Valyrian blood. So, his favourite things were reading, writing, studying, learning and flying.
Tembyra has a unique flame. Almost looks like a rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green. There hasn't been reports of dragons having a continuous colouring that blumes in the same succession as Tembyra.
𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑻𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒚𝒓𝒂:
⋆ ISFP ⋆ Slytherin ⋆ Cancer Sun, Aquarius Moon, Pisces Rising
Has a temper, and doesn't like many people.
Favourite being besides Vaegon is Goldwing and Gael.
Likes to swim; well likes water overall. Whenever there's an open body of water, it takes everything in Tem not to nose-dive when Vaegon is on his back.
Likes to listen to Vaegon read
Doesn't like the dragonpit; feels too lonely. Just because someone likes to be alone, doesn't mean they don't get lonely.
His roar is a mix of Caraxes and Syrax's. It's unique and off-putting.
His mate is Gael's Sonessa. They coil their tails around one another when sleeping.

𝑫𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂
Eighth born child, fourth daughter. There was a childish aspect about Daella; her physical appearance aided to that as well as she was only 5'2 as an adult. Timid, sweet, kind, and gentle, with a tender heart. Yet, she was also a delicate and shy, tongue-tied girl, who was easily frightened and quick to cry. Known "to be terrified of dragons," she went and married Lord Rodrik Arryn, had one daughter: Aemma (Rhaenyra's mother) and died in childbirth.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
Daella would have a cradle egg (if she had to go up and bond with a dragon then she would be terrified.) But when she was born, Alyssa put an egg in her crib. The colours: white and blue. When it hatched, Daella was 3 months old.
She named her dragon 'Adema' (high valyrian for fulfilment). A resplendent dragon with light blue scales, white accents and light purple eyes. Adema is a she-dragon as she has laid a few clutches of eggs.
The first time Daella mounted her dragon, she was 12. Adema was a more kinder dragon than the rest. But no less protective of her rider. Possible even moreso since they share energy with one another.
With her dragon, Daella became more courageous. Still kind and gentle, Daella grew into a woman with a large shadow; one she knew would have her back.
She would still marry Rodrik Arryn, but not so early in her life. And maybe she wouldn't have died after giving birth.
𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑨𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒂:
⋆ ESFJ ⋆ Ravenclaw ⋆ Taurus Sun, Libra Moon, Aquiarius Rising
Daella takes Aemma up on Adema when she's old enough to walk. The little girl squeaks and giggles as they gently fly around their home.
Adema knows how to be gentle, she's been like that with Aemma ever since she was born. When Daella was pregnant with little Aemma, Adema was overprotective of Daella - even more than she usually is.
What was so special about this three-way bond, was that Aemma would also get a cradle egg (my headcanon) from Adema's clutch.

𝑺𝒂𝒆𝒓𝒂
Ninth born child, fifth daughter. Saera was a courageous and clever, girl, in her own way as clever as her brother Vaegon. She was just as strong, quick and spirited as her sister Alyssa. The Princess was tempestuous, demanding, and disobedient. Her first word was "no." A mischief-maker, when her father found out about her lovers, Saera declared she would be married, but that she could not decide which one of the three would be the best choice. When she suggested marrying all three of them, she compared herself to Aegon the Conqueror and Maegor the Cruel.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
Her actions and decisions with men would be wiped clean when she had a dragon. Jaehaerys would definitely think Saera would get her dragon involved if she didn't get her way. And if she was to be sent away, her dragon is coming with her!
Saera would bond with a dragon easily. With her courageous spirit, she'd actually be a good ... candidate. Given a cradle egg that never hatched, she was completely torn to bits.
But a clutch that her Aunt Rhaena had hidden on Dragonstone, had hatched years ago and four adult dragons were living in the caverns of the castle.
When Saera had visited Dragonstone in her early teens, she went to the caverns and found something glorious.
Not letting the chance go by, she stalked straight to the one she wanted. And she mounted the she-dragon that very night.
Valoris (means "to be brave"). She's a stunning dragon with magenta flames, intense pink eyes, black accents; her body is half pink/magenta and black.
Her body type is quite birdlike, which hasn't been seen since the days of Valyria. With two large protruding horns and almost like smaller wings around her neck, she is quite the opponent in a battle.
𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒔:
⋆ ENFJ ⋆ Slytherin ⋆ Aries Sun, Sagittarius Moon, Taurus Rising
Valoris, is just like her owner. In everyway.
Very fertile... she has laid many clutches but only 50% end up with hatchlings
Saera absolutely SPOILS Valoris; food, cute decor for the saddle, and absolutely NO WAY is she staying in the dragonpit. Special quarters would be made for the beautiful yet intimidating dragon.
Likes to be brushed and washed every day. Not very dragonlike.
Would rather be flying than sleeping. But is easily pissed off and will react. Not like Saera cares...
𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂
Tenth born child, sixth daughter. Viserra was the most beautiful out of the daughters and she knew it. Viserra was a wild, high-spirited girl. It was said she wanted to become THE queen, so she tried to seduce Baelon who was 14 years older than her. One night, she slipped past Baelon's guards and climbed naked into his bed, but Baelon sent the drunk girl away when he arrived. After the incident, she was to be sent away to White Harbour to be married to an old man who had four wives; one after the other. And many say the death of his wives were mysterious... So Viserra slipped passed the guards, met up with her friends and had one last night of freedom. At the foot of Aegon's High Hill, Viserra's horse collided with the mare of one of her companions. Viserra was thrown from her saddle into a wall, and she died of a broken neck at the age of fifteen.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
A cradle egg, placed there by Saera, who adored her new little sister. It wasn't one of her dragon's eggs though. It was Daella's. Her dragon was highly fertile.
Viserra named her dragon: Demalys (high valyrian for throne) aka whenever she mounts her dragon, she's sitting on her throne. The closest she will ever get to a real one.
As he grew, Demalys became more and more colourful; his violet scales shimmered in the sunlight. His fire was a rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink. Beautiful. Deadly but still stunning to behold.
Viserra was 14 when she mounted her dragon. He was twice her height, and ready to fly with his bonded. The two of them were highly adventurous; they sought out places that were never seen before. Found treasures and the like.
𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑫𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒔:
⋆ ENTP ⋆ Slytherin ⋆ Leo Sun, Gemini Moon, Virgo Rising
Loves to be shown off. Knows he is stunning.
Viserra got a blacksmith to create a pure golden star to be settled just below Demalys' neck.
He does sleep in the dragonpit. Doesn't mind it. But he has to be taken out everyday for many hours.
...Flirts with the other dragons.
Has golden eyes with green rims around the middle.
His roar is very similar to Meleys'.
Doesn't like being told what to do ... will ignore most people and has his favourites
𝑮𝒂𝒆𝒍
The thirteenth and last child, shy and sweet; she was a comfort to her mother who had lost practically all of her children. Dubbed, "The Winter Child," she was coddled - Gael became Alysanne's constant shadow, and even slept with her in her bed. When Gael was around ninteen, she disappeared from court. It was announced that she had died from a summer fever. After the deaths of Jaehaerys and Alysanne, it was revealed that Gael had been seduced and impregnated by a travelling singer. She gave birth to a stillborn son, and her grief was so overwhelming that she walked into Blackwater Bay and drowned.
𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:
Even though she's the youngest, she would still have a dragon. She didn't receive one in the cradle as a baby - there weren't any eggs. But when Daella's Adema had a clutch of living dragons, she wanted her little sister to have one.
Gael received the egg when she was 10, and slept with it every night. Daella had chosen a specific one that reflected Gael's persona - a perfect one. Like pure Winter. That's why Daella gave it to Gael in the first place. Even though it was against what both Jaeherys and Alysanne wanted - their last child to become a dragonrider. Completely dangerous and yet, Gael; frail and timid, decided that she wanted a dragon. The rest of her siblings were dragonriders; it was in her blood.
Gael named her dragon, Sonessa, (high valyrian for snow). Her personality is similar to Gael but has more passion about life. Socialising may not be her thing, but she'll endure it to help Gael. Everything she does is for Gael.
Sonessa somehow feels like this is her hatchling and she has to protect Gael at all costs.
You could say she's a motherly dragon. More like a mother hen.
Sonessa's flame is a very light/pale blue with swirls of white. It makes her seem an enigma. A dragon, who is suppose to be hot, with red flame, a beast quick to anger and to retaliate...is a thing that Sonessa is not. She is white, with almost frost looking flame, yes she is still a beast who will retaliate if needs be. But for the most part - she is a protector, a guardian.
𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂:
⋆ ISFJ ⋆ Hufflepuff/Gryffindor ⋆ Libra Sun, Aries Moon, Cancer Rising
Very good around others. She and Silverwing are good friends.
Loves going on royal processions, but she knows Gael is fragile, and most times a little frail.
Sonessa loves showing Gael different parts of Westeros - the water, high in the air, across deserts and the like.
But Sonessa is like a responsible older sister. Not just to Gael, but to the dragons in the dragonpit. She'll intervene when there's a fight, or curl up beside a sad dragon.
She's had many clutches of eggs with Vaegon's Tembyra

(Daella's dragon is so fertile because her granddaughter, Rhaenyra would usher in a great deal of new dragons. Aemma wouldn't have been so infertile if she hadn't had intercourse so young.)

A random thought while rereading about Jaehaerys I and Alysanne as parents: I wonder if the reason why, starting with Vaegon, they handled their children progressively worse, is due on the one hand to the fact that the years were advancing, the children too... but on the other hand to the fact that with the first group they were so lucky to have no idea how to handle a "normally problematic" child.
Daenerys lived only six years and was a pure ray of sunshine. Aemon and Baelon were the definition of perfect princes. Alyssa was a tomboy, but she never seemed to cross that fine line from "cute little brat" to "red alert: problem," and it certainly helped that she got married appropriately and had a kids without obietions, so her "duty as a woman" did it. Maegelle was that kid you never had to remind her of the rules, she never cries at night, and she ate all her vegetables (I mean, Daella adored her).
I'm sure at that point Jaehaerys and Alysanne were like, why do so many people say parenting is hard? We raised five kids with no problems. And then the second batch comes along and suddenly...problems. And Jaehaerys and Alysanne are like, "Oh, that's why they say that!".

Immortal modern Reader tired and resting in bed, after saving Aerea and Balerion and returning them back home from Old Valyria.
Immortal modern Reader: Finally, I can have some rest.
Just as she was about to sleep, the door burst open and the children of Jaehaerys and Alysanne came to her for help.
Yandere Aemon: Y/N, I’m marrying Jocelyn, will you join us in the wedding?☺️
Yandere Baelon: Y/N, I have claimed Vhagar. Come on, I want to show you my new tricks!☺️
Yandere Alyssa: Y/N, I’m going to marry Baelon and I hope you will join us in our wedding.☺️
Yandere Maegelle: Y/N, I’m going to be in Oldtown. I pray you will visit me soon.😌
Yandere Vaegon: Y/N, father wants me to marry Daella, but I don’t want to!😫
Yandere Daella: Y-Y/N! Saera is mean to me and father wants me to marry, but I’m so scared! I don’t want to be a Silent Sister!😭
Yandere Saera: Y/N, father called me a whore! And thinks of me as a disappointment!😤
Yandere Viserra: Y/N, I’m beautiful right? Please, don’t let my parents to marry an old fat lord!🥺
Yandere Gael: Y/N, can you play with me pretty please? I feel lonely.😢
Immortal modern Reader slowly but scarily turns to look at Jaehaerys and Alysanne: can I have some rest… FOR FIVE MINUTES?!🤬😾
Yeah, in my head it was more funny and hilarious. I mean, everyone thinks Immortal modern Reader is a legend, so obviously the children would want to spend time with her… even though she wants to rest from everything that happened.
I can’t help but imagine Immortal modern Reader sitting like this 🗿while Yandere Rhaena and Aerea scolded J&A and their children for disturbing Y/N from regaining her rest and sleep.
Aerea vs JsA
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
When the reader has time for sleep and rest.
Reader
Hello dear. Thank you for this scenario. I had fun reading it. I think they see the reader as a hero and a port to take shelter in during the storm. Moreover, they demand the parental love that they cannot get from their parents from the reader. Poor reader. She has no time to rest. I think JsA will scold her more than the children. After all, they are the parents who have so many children and do not care about them. Aerea is literally the reader's guardian cat.

Jaehaerys and Alysanne’s family as Zodiac Signs!! (PART 1)
Part 2
Disclaimer: This is just my option, feel free to disagree! I would love to hear other opinions (also this is just a fun post, nothing serious). I would also love to know which member of the family you are according to your zodiac sign.
References: The information is from Co-Star and the images are from Capricho. The references of the fanarts are next to the character’s names.
(🎨: Doug Wheatley for Fire & Blood)

Aries - Saera Targaryen (🎨: Riotarttherite)
“No filter; gets angry, then forgets why they were angry; thinks everything is a game they can win; will do anything on a dare; easily bored”.
Game? Dare? Easily bored? Do I need to say anything else?

Taurus - Daella Targaryen (🎨: Riotarttherite)
“Just wants to cuddle; homebody; all or nothing, no in-between; wears the same outfit everyday; hates big changes”
Not sure if a lot of you will agree with me, but Daella was scared of everything; she was probably scared of changes too. She probably wore the same outfits that she knew I wouldn’t bother her (I can see her having some issues with some clothes if they bother her skin). She was also all or nothing when she was very decided about her husband.
Gemini - Baelon Targaryen (🎨: Riotarttherite)
“Charismatic; uses humor as a crutch; could talk to a brick wall; arguments as flirting; knows a little about everything”
I feel like we don’t have a lot about Baelon’s personality, just that he was competitive and that Aemon was his inspiration. But I can see him being very fun to be around, and having an endless banter with Alyssa (who likes it) and Aemon (who gets annoyed by it).
Cancer - Alysanne Targaryen (🎨: Amok)
“Sensitive; seeks comfort; forgives but never forgets; only has one boundary, but it is very firm; takes on other people's problems”
Our Good Queen was a Cancer, I’m sure. She wasn’t known as “good” for nothing, she was helping the kingdom. She had a lot of empathy, but was firm when she needed to. And, let’s be honest: she spend her life forgiving Jaehaerys, but never forgetting.

Part 2 coming soon! Tell me which character you are and your guesses for the next part 👀

Heyy sO I really like your posts about viserys x rhaenyra and I just want to know what you think of tywin x cersei because I love it and I want to know your opinion about it!
thank you! 🖤
cersei x tywin isnt something ive put a lot of thought into but its definitely something thats crossed my mind. i always remember this line from jamie as… being suspect to me

on its own this is fine. but knowing the lannisters. cersei viewing herself as tywins true heir, only being blocked by her sex, her using sex as a tool to get what she wants, the cocsa with jamie… and we KNOW from tyrion that tywin doesnt have an issue with sexually abusing his children, at the very least to ‘teach them a lesson’. i could see something evil happening here very easily

Legacy in Flames

During Baelon's visit to Aemon's house, the two share a conversation about the burdens of their marriages and the need for a trusted confidant to find respite, much like their father has with someone he deeply trusts—their sister, Saera. Events that unfold that same evening lead them to believe they've found the perfect candidate for such a role: their teenage sister, Viserra.
In modern Westeros, the Targaryens no longer have dragons, but they remain something far more complex—gods, monsters, or perhaps a blend of both.

the waltz of the lost dreams | coming soon
After a serious illness puts Vaella on her deathbed with the stranger knocking at her door, Saera and Baelon come up with a plan to make her presumed final days the happiest she's ever had. There, in her room in Saera's pleasure house in Volantis, Vaella Targaryen feels loved for the first time in her life. The consequences of Baelon's actions are pushed in the back of both of their minds, as Westeros is far enough away to be out of any focus.
Here's a little moodboard for an upcoming fic! I debated on waiting much longer to post about it, but in the end I think I'll just update this one a lot slower than pdlfs. Don't panic, I'm not abandoning my Maegor fic and it's still my primary fic that I'm focusing on. This is just a nice break to take me off any writer's block or inspiration slump. Just a heads up that this is gonna be just straight up sad.

About Laugh and Forget (1)
Sooo unfortunately I have to work overtime the second day of work. And most of that time I need to be waiting... for experiment to run, so I feel like I could be writing a bit about how Laugh and Forget, Laugh and Forget! came about.
A bit under a year ago, one day in February, I had a horrible idea that Jaehaerys had coveted Saera and in his terrible covetousness he messed it all up, sending her away for cold repentance, and she fled from his face in mischief and utter disillusionment of their bond. It became increasingly unbearable for me to regard this passage of faux history. What if Saera intuited his intent for her, which he himself had yet recognized in its full monstrosity, and pressed her golden head into the burning window of the house of conflagration... Since the first day this has been a story coloured in gold. Gold as in the Era of Reconciliation, as in the people's colouring, as every emotion at play, as how she's thought by many, her siblings even to be best conditioned for his tyranny. I have certainly abused gold in symbolism in the words I churned out so far. It's blatant irony I know. I was under the same influence when I chose the name of the series, Ketoret, a sweet incense burnt on the God's golden altar, over the temple's blood reek of slaughtered sacrifice.
When I started this story, I wrote with whims and only had a very vague plan for where this shall go - I mean, the ending is already written :/ And I think it would hardly end any differently, whether Saera approached Jaehaerys or not. Worse case scenario is that his monster arose and he caged her for life, having crafted a more cunning gaol for her out of half-dignity and ardor, to keep her within his reach. As I proceed, the inconsistency or rather evolution of stylistic things started to disconcert me. Same happened for Saera's characterization, and till now I can't be sure whether her recollection of earlier fantasy of Jaehaerys makes sense when placed next to Ch2, but let's see if as story unfurls.
In Ch1 Alyssa tracked her down. Alyssa is a funny character. She was "bawdy as a barmaid" but there's no scandal of hers along the same vein as Saera's. She wanted of her own accord, to birth many children for Baelon. She and Baelon in many ways are the true golden children of their era, the mini Jaelysanne that they are. She taught Vaegon o the bully of Daella a good lesson, making her a very dutiful big sister with a welcome sense of righteousness. Saera and Alyssa share quite a few things in common. Perhaps exactly because of Alyssa's attachment to Baelon did she manage to evade Jaehaerys's undue favour. The two siblings are too complete together. In loving remembrance to his marriage with Alyssa, Jaehaerys never saw Alyssa in the complex light he saw Saera: doting, pitiful, worried, pained. Had Alyssa been alive, she would've taken on the duty of searching for Saera in her naive conscience despite being so much her parents' daughter.
The title of the story, Laugh and Forget, Laugh and Forget! is self-explanatory as it moves forward. Saera sat down with Alyssa who strove for an answer and had only seen hints of what had transpired when Saera was at court, and told the story between her and her father, which inspired no laughter unless who listened was cruel, and which could hardly be forgotten unless occurred to one heartless. Saera does have one though. But if gods were merciful, perhaps she does not remember what Jaehaerys looked like anymore as years went by, only the vague image of a very calm man who promised her confusion and hell.
Oh also! Stir The Blood by The Bravery is entirely my musical inspiration for anything saehaerys.

The thirteen children of Jaehaerys I and Alysanne

Jaehaerys and Alysanne Targaryen had thirteen children, more than any other royal couple in the history of the Seven Kingdoms, but only two survived their parents:
Aegon (51-51 AC). He was born prematurely and lived only three days. Alysanne always blamed for his death the attack on her life she had suffered early in her pregnancy.
Daenerys (53-60 AC), known as "the darling of the realm". Daenerys was a beautiful and healthy little girl, considered by all to be a true joy. At the age of two, at a tournament, she was crowned Queen of Love and Beauty by Simon Dondarrion. She died at age six due to illness, breaking her parents' hearts.
Aemon (55-92 AC), prince of Dragonstone. He was serious, staid, and fond of reading, bonded for life with his younger brother Baelon. He rode the dragon Caraxes. He married his half-aunt Jocelyn Baratheon and was the father of Rhaenys Targaryen, the Queen Who Never Was. He died during a raid against Myrish pirates.
Baelon (57-101), prince of Dragonstone after Aemon's death. Known as The Spring Prince and Baelon the Brave, he was cheerful and gifted in the arts of chivalry. He was Vhagar's dragonrider. He married his younger sister Alyssa, and was father of Viserys I and Daemon the Rogue Prince. He was devoted to his wife to the point that, after her untimely death, he chose to have nothing more to do with love. He died due to a "burst belly".
Alyssa (60-84 AC). The least princely princess in the story, dragonrider of Meleys, the Red Queen. Peculiar from her appearance (she had dirty blonde hair, a crooked nose, protruding ears and mismatched eyes, one green and one purple), the only "feminine" activity she loved was having children with her husband. Unfortunately this proved fatal: she never recovered from her third birth and died six months later, at twenty-four, and the child, Aegon, followed her within a few months.
Maegelle (62-96 AC). Compassionate, devout and dedicated to study, very intelligent, she choose to became a septa. She was fundamental in resolving the most serious disagreements between her parents. She died of greyscale, having been infected during her work caring for children affected by the disease.
Vaegon (born in 63 AC). Known as the Dragonless, he was one of two children to survive his parents. Of a closed and solitary nature, but very cultured, Vaegon struggled to find his place in the world, until he was sent to the Citadel to become Archmaester.
Daella (64-82 AC). The most fragile of her siblings, Daella was sweet, but was known to be afraid of everything. Unable to figure out what to do with her, Jaehaerys forced Alysanne to find her a husband. Daella then married Rodrik Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, but died in childbirth a year later, giving birth to her only daughter, Aemma, who would become queen as the wife of her cousin Viserys I and mother of Rhaenyra Targaryen.
Saera (born in 67 AC). The second and last child to survive her parents. Saera was the most uncontrollable and problematic of the siblings and received little sympathy from them. After causing a huge sex scandal, she ended up fleeing to Essos, where she first became a prostitute and then the owner of a pleasure house. She had at least three children, three sons, from as many fathers.
Viserra (71-87 AC). The most beautiful of the sisters, she had a strong character and her parents feared she might become a second Saera. Forced to marry Lord Theomore Manderly, fat, forty years her senior, a four-time widower and father of many children, and to move in the extreme North, Viserra ran away to town for one last night of entertainment, but was thrown from her horse and fell, breaking her neck.
Gaemon (73-73 AC). Small and fragile, he lived only three months.
Valerion (77-78). Like his brother, he was sickly at birth and, despite treatment, died two weeks before his first name day.
Gael (80-99 AC). The last child, born when Alysanne was convinced she was now beyond her childbearing years. Considered "simple", she was her mother's main company in her last years, but Gael committed suicide by drowning when, after being seduced by a passing musician, she gave birth to a stillborn son.
If anyone would like to see a graphic focused on any of them, let me know in the comments or send me a request.

𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐲
Pairing: Aegon ii Targaryen x reader
Warnings: Swearing
1.03
“Jace—”
With tears in his eyes, Jacaerys quickly turns and runs in the opposite direction. What if he went straight to his mother and told her what Aegon said? Even worse, what if he told Lucerys? You go to chase after your nephew, but Aegon grabs your wrist. “Just leave it be.”
“He just heard you call his mother a whore and him a bastard. I cannot simply leave it.”
Aegon lets go of you and shrugs, “Who cares? He is a bastard.”
“His parentage is not the point; Jace is just a child.”
“I thought you were angry at our sisters.” Frustrated by your silence, Aegon tosses the empty goblet in his hand at the ground and clenches his teeth. “You can’t possibly feel bad for them?”
“Our nephews didn’t betray me; only Rhaenyra did. Those boys don’t deserve what is being said about them.” Shaking your head, you watch as Aegon puffs out his cheeks in a childlike manner. “Besides, father will be furious if she hears what you said.”
“Course he will,” he scoffs.
“Are you going to come with me to find him?”
When Aegon doesn’t answer, you start to walk away, but when he realizes you’re serious, he chases you back down the rocky path you’d walked up side by side moments before. “Your mind is like a labyrinth.”
“What?”
Sharply he says, “You’re truly a fool, sister, if you think they will ever care for you.”
“I’m already aware Rhaenyra doesn’t, but Jace and Luke—”
“Don’t either. They will grow up to be just like her.”
Your lips begin to tremble.
“Don’t look at me like that; I’m just telling you the truth. Our sister and her bastards will always come first to the realm, to our father, to each other. We have no place with them.”
A lump forms in the back of your throat; you weren’t sure if Aegon was saying this to deliberately hurt you or if his drunken thoughts had started to overspill. “Go sober up, brother, before the queen finds you.”
—
On the rocky outcrops overlooking where Lady Laena was laid to rest, you find Jacaerys sitting on the ground, hugging his knees to his chest, his eyes swollen and cheeks flushed from crying. He was watching Ser Laenor standing in the waves, mourning his sister.
You sit down beside him. “What you overheard—”
“I asked my mother if I was a bastard, and she told me I was a Targaryen.”
“She is right.” You reach for his hand. “Princess Rhaenyra and Ser Laenor Velaryon love you, Luke, and Joff very much. And that is all that matters.”
“Do you still love us?”
“Of course, I’ll always love you and your brothers. No matter what.”
—
Retiring for the night you’re left with a sour taste in your mouth. You had tried to persuade Aegon to join at supper before bed, but he insisted on spending his night drowning himself in his cups and ogling any lady he could.
Flora was behind you as you walked to the bedchamber you were staying in for the night. Just as you’re about to turn the corner, yeah, Ser Harrold and Ser Criston’s were attempting to keep quiet, but whatever irritations they had were causing their voices to become louder.
“Are you familiar with the fate of Ser Chester Mooton?”
You peek around the corner just as Ser Criston straightens up his shoulders; he looks irritated. “No, I haven't, Lord Commander.”
“He was a knight of House Mooton, a member of King Jaehaerys Kingsguard, and the sworn protector of his daughter Princess Saera Targaryen. The two were always seen by each other's sides, even during the late hours of the night. They were as thick as thieves—overly familiar. King Jaehaerys had Chester gelded and sent to the Wall. His grace, King Viserys, would do the same.”
“What are you—”
Flora, who was listening in as intently as you, slips as she leans against the wall, making a slapping sound. The two of you share a panicked look; she clears her throat. “Is there anything else you wish to do, princess, before retiring for the evening?”
Just as the question leaves her mouth, the two nights turn the corner. The older knight looks his normal self as he greets you and your lady, while Ser Criston looks slightly flustered.
“Ser Harrold, Ser Criston.”
“Princess, it’s a little late to be exploring the castle, especially without a shield,” Ser Harrold says. “Ser Criston will escort the two of you back safely.”
The walk to the bedchamber is in complete silence. You and Flora lock eyes every so often but quickly look away, afraid the knight would catch on. Different questions were reeling in your mind: had Ser Criston broken his vows? Since being in the kingsguard, the knight had only been a shield for two people. Her grace, the queen, and your elder sister, princess Rhaenyra.
Which one did he break his vows with?
—
“Will that be all, princess?”
“Yes, goodnight, Flora. I’ll see you in the morrow.”
Your lady-in-waiting nods her head, then takes leave. Although Driftmark Castle was a small, grim, and forbidding building, you found comfort in its dampness, peculiar since the blood of the dragon runs thick through your veins.
You dangle your legs over the edge of the bed while trying to settle your mind, which had been racing since your conversation with Jacaerys earlier. You knew what it was like growing up with whispers being spread about you. It was never a secret at court; your father desperately wanted a son, and his wife died giving birth to twins; he was only left with the daughter he didn’t want. And now Rhaenyra’s son’s would spend the rest of their lives being called bastards.
Wrapping your arms around yourself, you feel the softness of the ghostly white nightgown beneath your fingers. The shade matches your dragon; ghosts pale, almost ethereal shade of white scales.
Sighing, your bare feet touch the cold stone floor as you make your way to the table in the center of the room. You sit and begin to light the candles Flora placed on the wooden surface. Quietly you speak to yourself, “Aemma Arryn, Baelon Targaryen, Laena Velaryon.” A single tear rolls down your cheek as you light the last candle, “Harwin Strong.”
You stare at the flames, watching as they move with the wind blowing through the open window.
The door to the room suddenly opens, and a member of your father's kingsguard enters. “Princess, forgive the intrusion, but there has been an incident, and the queen has requested your presence as a matter of urgency.”

Prologue | Chapter 1 | Chapter 3 | Masterlist
Chapter II | Bastards and Brothers

You were set to arrive in the port of King’s Landing in just a few hours. To be back on solid ground would be a gift from the gods themselves. Sleep escaped you, only being able to catch up in small intervals. The bed was itchy and bumpy, the blankets while silk didn’t add much comfort and they slipped and slid all night long.
A bang knocked at your cabin door, startling you before you realized it was Vaegon making sure you were awake.
“Fuck off! I can barely sleep and you are not helping!” you screamed at him through the closed door.
“We will dock in a few hours, get ready! Do you need help getting ready sister?” Vaegon said very boldly, you could hear the smile on his face.
You cringed at the idea of Vaegon helping you with anything of that sort, you swear he has some kind of sick fancy for you. Perhaps he’s more Targaryen than you in some ways.
“You can jump off the ship and see how deep the water is…” you said under your normal tone, turning over in your bed to hopefully get a few moments longer.
“What was that?”
“Leave!!”
——————
An hour passed by and you had given up on sleeping and committed to getting up for the day. This was one of the biggest days of your life, that being said, you were taking it pretty slow.
Taking your time with your hair and makeup, making sure it was enough to look your best but not to make it look like too much. Your mother had taught you how ladies in King’s Landing did their make up. Having grown up around Prostitutes and other people of that sort, how you had done your makeup made you feel naked.
For your hair you managed to put together delicate braids and wrap them into a bun in the back of your hair, allowing the rest of your hair to be free and rest as it pleased.
Once you had gotten to your clothes you ran into a small problem. You couldn’t get into your dresses without assistance, your mother had been the one to tie your corsets and must have forgotten to tell you how to do it yourself.
You were stuck with lots of pretty dresses but no way to put them on. Your eyes dragged across the room and fell on the chest with your dresses from Essos. Ones that flowed freely with nice and airy fabric, the dresses that made you most comfortable.
You couldn’t call anyone in to assist you and most certainly not Vaegon. Ugh. All the people on the ship were men, you had no other woman to assist you.
Your first appearance couldn’t be in an undone untied dress…
Opening the dark wooden chest you dug in search for a certain dress. There it is!
You pulled out a deep red dress made of airy semi-sheer fabric. The top started with a choker that split into two pieces of cloth that covered your breasts but leaving an opening in the middle for cleavage. An intricately designed gold belt holds it together leaving the rest of the dress to flow freely as it pleases. Golden arm bands added on as accessories of course.
While you are sure this dress wouldn’t go over as well as the other dress you had. There was no way you could put on the westerosi dress by yourself!
Once you have gotten yourself fully ready, you hear shouts from above from the crewmates indicating you will arrive any moment now. You take a few moments to look yourself over, straighten the skirt of your dress out, and check for any imperfections in your makeup.
With a final huff you open your cabin door and attempt to exit but are interrupted by your brother standing directly in front of the door, making you shriek and jump back.
“What is wrong with you!” You spit angrily at Vaegon. You could deal with this behavior in Volantis where he was constantly busy with training and hardly ever around. Now he’s gonna be able to breathe over your shoulder at all times and sniff your hair or whatever the fuck he does.
“I have to escort you sister, you never know who may lurk about.” He says with no reaction to your piercing shout. He steps out of the way to allow you to move ahead of him as he trails behind you.
Silence hangs for a few moments as the two of you walk throughout the ship to get to the deck. Vaegon brakes the silence abruptly with his invasive question-statements.
“I thought Mother told you not to wear those clothes anymore.”
“It seems I am wearing them anyway.” You replied blankly and walked at a slightly faster pace.
“If you needed help with the corsets I am more than obliged to-“ before Vaegon could finish you stopped in your tracks and whipped your body around to face him with a sharp finger.
“There will be none of that! I am to be legitimized and wed! I will not allow you to ruin any of this for me, you keep that tongue to yourself or I will ship you back to Volantis without it.” You growled through gritted teeth.
Without giving him a second thought you turn right back around and all but run to get up to the deck without your brother.
—————
Aemond began his day as normal, waking far earlier than any sane man. Had an easy breakfast of bread with berry preserves, assorted cooked meats, and a cup of wine. However mentally, his mind couldn’t fit another thought less it breaks out of his skull.
“You’re having me what?!” Aemond said with his mouth agape with shock.
“I didn’t have a choice in the matter, Aemond! The letters were already sent and replied to by the time I found out!” Alicent attempted to calm Aemond but he shook himself out of her grasp.
“You would have me wed a bastard from Volantis? What, just because one Targaryen left to become a whore?” Aemond couldn’t believe that his father somehow managed to condemn him even further.
“I would have never orchestrated this. But, everything is set and there is nothing to be done. This is your duty now Aemond.”
Aemond barely had time to prepare himself for basically the first day of the rest of his life. He never knew how he would marry, or even if he would marry at all. His meekness as a boy never allowed him to interact with girls his age. His disfigurement made it so potential marriages wouldn’t even be considered because he scared the daughters.
Against his morals but, a blind marriage to this woman that hadn’t the faintest idea of him maybe was his only option.
Alicent knew a thing or two about Y/N from being around Targaryens for most of her life.. She did tell him of her beauty, as beautiful as her mother. That her mother denied any and all propositions made toward her daughter, certainly a virginal girl.
Her father is unknown, as it goes for most bastards. However, her father seems to be present in her life despite his lack of physically being there. Between the wealth of her mother and father, the girl doesn’t want for anything.
Still, it goes against all he’s been told his whole life… Her being a pure-blooded Valyrian may help him forget who she is socially but only in the moment. Legitimized or not.
At the same time he couldn’t help but worry what she’d think of him. He could imagine the look of disgust turning into fear into disappointment. When he beds her on their wedding night, would she even look at him?
—————
You have to wait for the boat to fully settle into the dock and it is the longest minutes of your whole life. You can see the clearing of guards with their silver armor shining from the sun above. A carriage behind them, no doubt holding Prince Aemond inside. If you had lost it mentally maybe you’d jump off the ship, but for now you must go the proper way off.
Unfortunately, Vaegon has found his way to the deck of the ship. Taking his place behind you, you knew it was him based on the clanking of armor and the feeling of eyes burning into your back.
“I’ve heard Prince Aemond is a rather good swordsman. Even better than you brother. Though… that’s not much of a competition.” You laugh to get under his skin.
Vaegon had constantly worked for years on his swordsmanship. Never seeing much of real battles himself but practice is practice.
As children he would pretend to be a mighty knight with a wooden sword. Occasionally the brothel worker your mom had to look over you two would pretend to be a princess that needed to be saved. Of course you were the only princess he wanted to save… you cringed and shivered at the thought.
“You are very funny sister. Maybe I shall duel him and blind his second eye hm?” Vaegon leaned closer to you to whisper into your ear.
You only clenched your fists and held your head higher, the ship being fully docked and ready for you to step down. But you couldn’t let him get the last word in.

JACAERYS VELARYON X REINA TARGARYEN
REINA TARGARYEN
The war had been waged, everyone had picked a side, and others had yet to decide who truly was worthy of the throne. In the time of war, alliances were necessary. A means to an end. Every soldier counted. They were needed. War was no easy task nor lightly taken. They knew only one of the king's children could come out on top and in order for the peace to remain, one would have to be put to the sword.
Rhaenyra's first course of action was peace. Despite what many believed she loved her brothers and sweet sister Helaena. She wanted nothing more than to be united as a family once more, or rather once and for all. Yet alas, nothing truly goes according to plan. It all started with two deaths. The death of Rhaenyra's second son, the Prince Lucerys Velaryon and the death of Aegon's firstborn son, Jaehaerys Targaryen.
Once the two boys were murdered by their kin, war became an inevitable consequence of the actions of Aemond Targaryen and Daemon Targaryen. After the deaths of the two Targaryen children what came afterward was pure chaos, death, and destruction. Not only for the lords and ladies, or the common folk but for the Targaryen's as well.
Rhaenyra knew every sword counted and she needed all the ones she could have. Her son, the Prince Jacaerys had proven himself worthy of being the next king, gathering allies and armies for his mother. From the Vale, the Frey's and the Stark's. Daemon was gathering armies from Harrenhal as well. And, they also had Dragonseeds. Targaryen bastards who claimed two dragons. Silverwing and Vermithor.
During a council meeting, a guard rushed into the room, everyone stood, thinking perhaps Aegon and his brother had come to burn down Dragonstone. Yet, they were told something else. "Ships, my queen. Hundreds of them it seems and three dragons" Rhaenyra and her council made their way to see if what the man had said was true. And as he told it, it was true. The ships held the Targaryen sigil and the dragons, they could swear they were the size of Vhagar.
Rhaenyra awaited to see. Who was this person leading this army? The dragons land and some guards escort whoever it might be that has arrived. When they finally reach Rhaenyra, a woman walks from behind them. She was a Targaryen or at least a descendant of Valyria. She was wearing Targaryen Armor. A few scars were noticeable but she was a warrior, that much they could see. "My queen" she begins. "Who are you?" Rhaenyra asks. "I'm Reina Targaryen" the people stand in shock. A Targaryen. "My mother is Saera Targaryen and my father is Vaelor Targaryen, grandson of Maegor and Rhaena Targaryen" a shocking turn of events, that's what it was at that moment.
Rhaenyra was shocked, she knew Saera had children of her own, a family of her own. Sons. Hugh Hammer was one of them. Hugh didn't know he had a sister. "Had you stayed with your family you would've known mother married. But alas, you were always ashamed of our mother. Were you not?" she asked her brother without looking at him. "I have come here to help you win the war. Per my mother's request," she told Rhaenyra. "Why did she want to help me" Reina pulled out two letters. "This one is for you" she tells Rhaenyra as she hands her the letter before turning to Rhaenys. "And this for you" Rhaenys took the letter.
Both women read the letters. Saera loved her brothers despite everything. She loved her niece and nephews. She had watched them grow up for a while before leaving. "Although my mother rarely got involved in the matter of the crown while she was still in King's Landing, she knew one day, a time like this would come. She hopes that House Targaryen will be much better under the watchful eye of a queen. Men have always been too closed minded" she said as she looked around the men. "In those boats are thousands of men, the Unsullied and the Dothraki" they had heard the tales of the Dothraki, skilled and precise, the Unsullied too, strong men.
"I am the queen of the Free Cities, I have taken over, made sure there is peace. I know for a fact a Lannister has made allies with the triarchy, they do not like me. I am sure they offered them gold to take what is mine after they win, or the war they believe they will win" she smiled. "Change is good and I hope your people can see that. If they do not, well, I can assure you, they will not live to see another day, my queen" she said with a smile. For once, Rhaenyra felt like there was someone who understood her. Someone like her but much stronger. She would see Reina's strength and bravery. She saw Visenya born again, and she could not help to truly see it knowing that she was a close descendant of her.
Rhaenyra welcomed Reina into her arms. She would never admit it out loud but she felt safe in her arms. Reina was as stated before strong and brave, but she was also kind and good. Hugh saw that she was nothing like her mother although he was ashamed to admit that he thought she might be like her. She was given a room, near Rhaenyra's and Jacaerys' room. During her time there, she noticed that Jace and Baela were closed. She knew about her family, she knew she was Daemon's daughter with Laena, Rhaenys's daughter. She knew they were to marry, to strengthen the bond between the Targaryens and Velaryons. She thought they were good together. Baela seemed brave and straight-headed.
Rhaenyra had taken a liking to her, she was like the daughter she never had. The two would break their fast together and speak of the war and the many ways it could be avoided but deep down, Reina and Rhaenyra knew it could not be avoided no matter how hard they tried. "My mother misses King's Landing at times. Or rather her family more than the place. Her brothers. Aemon and Baelon. Her mother, the good queen" she smiled sadly. "Sometimes she reminisces of a time when House Targaryen was strong and united. When her brothers were alive when her sisters were alive. Even her parents, and despite her complex relationship with her father she loved and he loved her in his own twisted way" Rhaenyra nodded. "She said he wrote to her many times before he passed. Her mother did as well, but she was too proud, even now she still is" both women laughed.
Reina looked at Rhaenyra. "When we win this war, I need to ask something of you. You may not like it but it needs to be done" Rhaenyra listened to her words. "The faith is more involved in the royal family and all more than you think. My mother believes that the Targaryen women fail to give birth because of it. Because they want to make sure we do not have children. They do not like what we represent and stand for" she nodded. She felt it too, she gave birth to her children without the Maesters from the Citadel. She had her own trusted ones. "House Hightower must end with them. Not all, as some stay follow the Faith of the Seven but they cannot hold the power they hold now. It must be reduced" Rhaenyra nodded.
At that moment, Rhaenyra knew she needed someone like Reina in King's Landing. Someone who could rule with Jacaerys by his side. Baela was a good match for her son, but Reina was a far better one. Three dragons, gold, an army, and ships, matching House Velaryon. Perhaps a marriage alliance was much needed. And with Reina by her side, nothing would dare to come her way. Not even the Dragonseeds.
