When I was a kid I was obsessed with Sadira from the 1994-1995 animated series of Aladdin. I always thought that it was a shame that she wasn't fleshed out past four episodes. So I played around and with the help of Dall-E, gave Sadira an updated look and some headcanons.

An updated look to her OG look. To be honest, I loved Sadira but was not a huge fan of her hair. I wish they would have given her more defined curly hair.

And now the fun stuff! Sadira is a powerful Sand Witch. Genie even once said that the mixture of his magic with Sadira's spells would prove disastrous. So I like to imagine her getting a fashion glow up because it's what she deserves!

And let her be just as beautifully dressed as Jasmine! And let the two of them be besties! #girlsgirl (also i hate that this ai makes Sadira and Jasmine so much lighter skinned than they are)

I love the idea of Sadira having an "Elsa" moment of sorts; ie: "Let It Go" and making herself a new home out of sand.

I love the idea of when she walks across the sand, the sand turns to tile. (thank you @kissthedragon!) Like all Sadira wants is to have friends, be happy, and live like a princess. Let my girl have the world!

I also love the idea of her finding magical objects while learning to perfect and use her own magic. Was this an excuse just to have her on a magical flying carpet of her own? Absolutely.

And again, Sadira is a powerful witch of the sand. She can bring monsters to life and turn herself into sand. I love the idea of her having her own familiar/pet. Her familiar would be made out of sand and I love the idea of it being a cat. witches and cats amirite

And I'm a huge SadiraxMozenrath shipper so I had to try and design her a wedding dress:

How Did THAT Happen?

How did these Villains get together? How did these Isle kids get together? All that and more below the cut.

Maleficent and Chernabog (Desdemona)- they wanted to create an extremely powerful spawn who would be able to free them.

Maleficent and Hades (Mal, Ire, and Malice)- after Desdemona tried to kill Maleficent, she focused on another powerful being, a god. She blackmailed Hades by kidnapping Cora and forced him to get her pregnant.

Evil Queen and Chernabog (Evie)- his human form is very hot and she wanted a gorgeous child. He was still looking for a powerful child, saw a very powerful sorceress, and decided "Yeah, why not."

Jafar and Sadira (Jay)- he manipulated her into a relationship because he wanted an heir to exploit.

Cruella de Vl and Mr Dark (Carlos)- he took advantage of her during a mental health episode.

Frollo and Want (Claudine)- He paid for a night with her back when she was still doing that and got her pregnant. He then reused to allow her to get an abortion and, after Claudine was born and he learned she was planning to take Claudine with her, blackmailed her by saying that if she so much as spoke to Claudine, her babies (Amara and Calisto) would suffer for it.

Facilier and Ursula (Uma, Freddie, Celia, Riptide, Oceana)- they were part of Maleficent's original inner circle, because they were both super powerful and fearsome. That's how they met. They both blew UP at Maleficent when they found out she killed Harriet's twin and both left the circle. They became friends, then lovers.

Clayton and Claudette (Clay)- he paid for a night with her.

Nasira and Cassim (Jade)- she blew the fuck up at Jafar on the transport because what the hell, Jafar, you tried to rape a fifteen-year-old girl? I never would have helped you if I'd known that! He comforted her after and, since she was fresh out of allies and he knew she would probably need some, invited her to stay with the Forty Thieves. They fell in love.

Cecil B de Vil and Madam Medusa (Diego and Veronica)- he's her sugar daddy.

Drizella and Hans (Dizzy)- drunken hook-up.

Yzma and Frollo (Yzla and Zevon)- he drew her into a shitty relationship to "save the heathen" and, in the process, got her pregnant twice. She was in such a bad place that she probably would have stayed if she hadn't caught him sexually abusing baby Yzla.

Captain Hook and Marina del Ray (Harriet, Harry, CJ, Shirley, Sojourner, Ida)- they met on the transport and she was enchanted. He credits the guyliner and she smacks his shoulder every time he says that.

Gaston and Laurette (Gaston II, Gaston III, Belle, Giles, Gordon, Gil, Narcissa)- pretty self-explanatory.

Smee and Morganna (Sammy, Squeaky, Squirmy)- they met on the transport. She fell for him because he was so nice and genuine and funny. Think of Malfina and Connecticut Clark.

Ratcliffe and Helga Sinclaire (Rick)- he SA'ed her.

Jasper and Drizella (Jace)- drunken hook-up.

Horace and Anastasia (Harry)- she dated around to try to get over Anthony Sr. It didn't work.

Ringmaster and the Enchantress (Hermie)- if magic is energy, he's rubber. They met on the transport. Her multiple lobotomies left her magic extremely unstable and she lost control. He managed to soothe her. When they got to the Isle, they stayed together because he was the only one who wasn't afraid of her and didn't try to manipulate her, and thus was the only one who could soothe her. In return, she helped him get over his fear of animals. They fell in love and continue to have a mutually-beneficial relationship. They're best friends and he loves his wife.

Astronomer and Morgans le Fay (Reza)- they wanted a child with powerful magic and were both pissed when Reza had no signs of magic.

Horned King and Madam Mim (Riah)- they wanted a magically-powerful child. They got one, but he was born extremely premature and was cursed a few minutes after, so they got rid of him.

Oizys and Eurynomos (Dawn)- they met in the Underworld. He was the only one who could make her laugh.

Loki and Circe (Hatitosa)- they bonded over their love of magic and chaos. It was a one-night stand but they're still friends and everyone is worse for it, because it makes Hati more dangerous.

Themis and Dike (Justice)- they met because they were both advocates for not locking up Hades and several other important gods, you idiot, and bonded over being beyond furious that King Beast was this stupid. Friends to lovers.

Elea and Medusa (Mercy)- she was the only one who didn't fear or hate Medusa and they got to know each other.

Rasputin and Paulette (Mischa, Polina, Kira, and Nikita)- she was heartbroken and he used it to draw her into a shitty relationship.

Bill Sykes and Want (Arika)- he paid for a night with her and, upon finding out the baby would have Down Syndrome, demanded she abort. Amara and Calisto were already eager to have a new sibling, so she said no. She can no longer go into town but she got to keep Arika.

Hans and Nerissa (Hans II and Anna)- he manipulated her into a shitty relationship because he is drawn to power.

Monsieur D'Arque and Queen La (Tara and Tarzan)- she was a patient and his asylum and he took advantage of her.

Panic and Want (Amara and Calisto)- he found her on the streets because she didn't have a home. With Hades's permission, she was allowed to move into the caverns until she could get onto her feet. They spent a lot of time together and she was entranced, as many who've lived all of their lives in shitty situations are, because he didn't didn't want anything from her. They danced around each other for a while, until Hades got sick of it and told them to just fucking kiss already. They were the OTP of the House of Hades and now they're married and very happy.

Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos- Mal and Jay met when he tried to pickpocket her. Carlos got bought into the gang because Jay thought he was cute. Evie got bought in because Mal thought she was cute. Mal was dating Evie and Jay was dating Carlos, then Evie started dating Jay and Carlos and Mal started dating Carlos, and Mal and Jay decided to just see if they would be happy in a relationship. They were.

Evie, Agony, and Malcolm- Agony and Malcolm saved Evie from being SA'ed. She let them use her garden, Agony for dyes and Malcolm for remedy plants, and they eventually fell for each other.

Mischa Rasputin and Ivy de Vil (Pasha Rasputin)- she was there when he plead Sanctum after his father slit his throat. They spent a lot of time together afterwards. They understood each other.

Harriet Jones, Ginny Gothel, Diego de Vil, and Anthony Tremaine (Aeden, Faolan, and Sunshine)- Diego and Harriet were allies, Anthony joined Harriet's crew after Mad Maddy overthrew him, and Ginny spent a lot of time around Harriet. They became pretty close friends and later fell in love.

Narcissa and Jonas Never (Stormi)- she kicked his ass while sparring and fell in love with the fact that it was the moment he fell for her.

Harry, Uma, and Gil- they were childhood friends.

Claudine Frollo and Shan Sarangerel- Claudine spent a lot of time in the hospital so they spent a lot of time around each other.

Big Murph and Mordred Mim- Mordred tried to kill Murph because he thought Murph was trying to kurt his sister. Looking back on that fight, they both had a lot of fun. So they sparred often, became friends, and eventually decided that they'd crossed the line into a relationship.

To help fanfic writers and artists, I thought I’d make a list of characters/items that creators could use to make their own twst characters. Feel encouraged to add if you have any ideas as well! The bigger the list, the better!

These are all things that present a challenge to the heroes in the Disney films or are connected to an antagonistic force, such as the poison apple being connected to the Evil Queen, or are just shown in a wicked light, such as the vultures from the same movie who just follow the queen looking devious.

Sadira smirked as she watched the lands she would soon be claiming with her lover. "I shall do it now." and stepped away, peeling off the barely there gown she had been wearing to stand in her shift, with dagger in hand.

Barefoot and feeling the cold in the air, her skin pimpled and closed her eyes. Holding her hands out, balancing the dagger in the palm of her outstretched hand and a handful of the earth in the other, she closed her eyes and began to hum. "I call on you the mother of all, I call on you, the maker of us all, I call on you Mamut, call on you the Crone, I call on you the Witch." she began and felt the winds in the air whip at her hair.

Smiling, she continued and opened her eyes, "I bring forth an offering...." and gripped tightly at the dagger now, while her hand remained open with the handful of the dirt in the other. "Brown earth, green trees, you claim the roots, claim the trees." and smirked as she felt the winds continue to pick up. She gasped when she felt the whip in the air, practically backhanding her and almost causing her to lose her balance, but she fought to keep hold, and continued. "Black Night, White Moon...green earth, blue skies....come to life and claim what is in your right." and let out a scream as she felt herself rising off of the ground, but she fought back, to regain control and once she willed herself back to the ground, she dropped to one knee, panting hard. Carefully, she ran the dagger across her palm and clenched her hand in a fist, until her blood touched the earth beneath and placed her hand on the dirt, and felt it. "She is here..." and glanced back towards Malus, her face pale but triumphant. "She is coming...." but did not mention, yet that she noticed the finger and footprints left behind by another magicked being.

"terra tua est..." she called, and with a slight glance his way, she bowed her head, and heard a reply.

"si ves pacem, para bellum...."

"What...what is going on?" and looked out towards the treeline, studying the movement of the trees. "Something is really happening." Alden called, looking out over the dense terrain, and the explosion of life, that set off an aura of great darkness. Dark Earth Magic.

For @descendants-extended , here’s my promised Sadira x Mozenrath Descendant! Mira, a dedicated and sassy young sorceress, determined to make her mark in the world.

Sadira and Mozenrath are two villains from the Aladdin tv show, Sadria is a fellow street rat/Sand Witch, with a crush on Aladdin, she eventually reforms and becomes an ally, and even shows up at Aladdin and Jasmine’s wedding in Aladdin 3.

Mozenrath is an ambitious young sorcerer/necromancer with a cursed hand, and army of zombies and flying eel familiar called Xerxes. He’s delightfully evil and is a reacurring threat to Agrabah. He was originally meant to be the villain of Aladdin 3, where it would be revealed he and Aladdin where brothers but the plot was changed to focus on Aladdin’s relationship with his father. I still love this idea though and have them as half-brothers in y head canon, so Mira would be Aladdin’s trouble making niece. Mozenrath would reform in this enough for him and Aladdin to have a …cordial relationship 😅, close enough that Mira can come and visit her cousins (Aladdin apparently adopted some kids in a Disney book?? So need to do something with them now) and be a bad influence on them.

Mozenrath/Jasmine

Mozenrath is absolutely vexed by this. He has no idea how he got here. This relationship is primarily defined by Mozenrath's crimes against Agrabah, and the ever-present chance that the relationship will fall apart under the weight of those crimes. Mozenrath has a habit of turning passive in the hope that he won't be the one to cause any problems: but this only confuses and aggravates Jasmine further. Still, if the chemistry wasn't there, the relationship wouldn't exist: and the chemistry's undeniable.

Mozenrath/Esmeralda

This one takes two paragraphs. Assuming Mozenrath and Esmeralda meet immediately after the events of Two to Tangle, most of their dynamic rests on Mozenrath being genuinely obsessive and eager to please. He doesn't overstep boundaries, and they don't have the same bad history he shares with Jasmine, but he knows just how lucky he is. In practice, however, he still sees himself as inept with women: and assuming he's doomed tends to keep him from getting any better.

But, of course, Esmeralda's story takes place in Paris, during the year 1482. Mozenrath is in some unknown corner of southwestern Asia or northern Africa during the 9th or 10th century. They're easily 600 years apart. So you could also think of Mozenrath as a revenant, animated by the twisted sense of hope the gauntlet gave him: haunting whoever is wherever the gauntlet ends up, because his pride won't let him die and the gauntlet won't take its hope back until he finds someone else to share it with.

Mozenrath/Aladdin

Is this a platonic ship? Is it familial? Is it romantic? Should it exist at all? Ask one blog, get three opinions.

First: are Mozenrath and Aladdin brothers? We don't have any evidence in canon material for this. I personally haven't seen any sources for the rumor that they were intended to be, but then, I haven't dug very deep. The more interesting question, in my opinion, is 'should they be brothers?' And that's something I'll revisit when I talk about Jannah.

Second: Aladdin has a life. Aladdin has a life he loves, a woman he loves, lifelong friendships guaranteed. Mozenrath would be dead weight, holding Aladdin back, and Mozenrath knows this. Pride and self-loathing aren't just opposites: they very often exist at once in the same person. Mozenrath wants better for himself, and he'll commit all manner of atrocities to make himself king of the world, but what would be most despicable to him is to rely on someone as happy as Aladdin to help him get there.

Third: Mozenrath isn't in full control of himself. Nobody is, really, but Mozenrath is keenly aware of just how desperately he wants Aladdin. How long can you go thirsty before you start drinking sea-water? How long can you go hungry before you start eyeing your fellow men? Aladdin is the color of honey. His eyes are nabidh. There is absolutely no question why Aladdin lives a sweeter life than he does. If Mozenrath is not capable of love, then he'll find out when Aladdin entertains his attention, and the instinct in its place is to devour and replace him.

Mozenrath/Sadira

Here's one I haven't explored much. Sadira blogs tend to go inactive, unfortunately. To Mozenrath, Sadira is a half-hearted imitation. It's an insult to call her a sorceress: not just because she has Aladdin and his friends to fall back on, but because she has the same luck as the rest of them.

Make no mistake: even if Mozenrath never lived on the street, he was abused and neglected to the point of lunacy. He was cloistered, like Jasmine, but at least Jasmine has her mind. So to him, it would seem founded to call Sadira 'privileged.'

But she pays attention to him. She's not a career sorceress, which means he can impress her. Which means he could scare her, or protect her. Once Sadira's in his parlor, she's as good as his.

Mozenrath/Midha

Midha's a human rogue from the World of Warcraft universe. The important things to know about her: she's from a T for Teen game, she's potentially useful, and she'll listen to anything he rambles on about.

This is one of his 'flings,' in the event it becomes more than a business relationship. What Mozenrath doesn't realize about her is that one can be calculating without explaining their plans.

And kind as she may be, Midha is an assassin. She is, by necessity and natural talent, plotting against almost everyone. He's just lucky she hasn't gotten around to acting on her plan for him.

Mozenrath/Khesonix

Here's the most recent fling. Mozenrath takes a deal that's more than fair: he can exhaust as many lives as he likes, so long as he replenishes the number in kind.

The flamewakers, the creatures he summoned, are warriors. Bred and power-fed to burn away competition as soon as they can slither. They don't do subtlety. They're not even particularly attracted to him.

And this is, finally, a dynamic Mozenrath understands. He wants love, but being useful will do. He wants human companionship, but the brutal, burning reality is that this is probably what he deserves. These are the arms he can rely on to hold him: especially if they're holding him down.

Mozenrath/Jannah

We don't choose our family, and this is how we know.

Notice how almost all Mozenrath's relationships are romantic? Notice how desire is a pre-requisite? He knows why Jasmine, or Sadira, or Khesonix might want him. But he can't understand Jannah.

Wouldn't a baby ruin your life, he wonders? Weren't you, deep down, relieved when I was taken? Or are you so prideful? Motherhood is pride. Family is pride. We're only here to get what we want, mother, and what is it you want?

It would be easier, he thinks, if she didn't recognize him. She could ride right by. And now that he's burdened with the knowledge that they're family: his only reward is that he knows one way she doesn't want him.

Mozenrath/Neltharion/Vigos

He'd expected to die, and then that was taken from him too.

What should he feel, when the timeline of his life is unceremoniously cut and joined with what feels like a parody? He can get everything he wants-- but he can't possibly have so much. He lives in a world he shouldn't have come to be in. A world this perfect would never produce Mozenrath.

And forgiveness from Neltharion and Vigos is far too easy. How can they forgive him? He didn't know they existed, until now. Is it a gift to live?

Is he their project? Is he just the entertainment? He doesn't know. All he knows is that it could be worse.

Mozenrath/Mozenrath

If you met yourself, wouldn't you give them everything they wanted?

He has big dreams for his little brother. Of course, they're more like twins, but more importantly... they could be gods. Alone, they're so vulnerable, the little one especially, but together they have to be unstoppable.

They have to be. And they have to be together. This is his best chance to love himself.

What would have happened in any future Agrabah storylines?

It’s largely Kingdom-Hearts-based.

-Hecate trains Mozenrath to learn to dreamwalk in an interlude, allowing him to access Sleeping Worlds. This quest puts him at odds with Nasira and Kharotum, who force him to face a nightmare version of Destane. He gains a Spellican Nightmare that he can use to mow his sleep-world enemies down with during this bit.

-After leaving and coming back, Mozenrath finds that Ayam Aghoul has commandeered the Black Sands citadel and is organizing the Mamluks for undead rights. Mozenrath and Aghoul are at odds for a while before they finally realize they have a ton in common. The Mamluks end up falling into Maleficent’s hands anyway so she can revive Destane, and Mozenrath teams up with Aghoul. Mad Madam Mim is on the team at this point, and it turns out she was the sorceress who cursed Aghoul into the necklace. They decide to put the past behind them and work to make everything more gruesome.

-Nasira becomes the figurehead of the Overtakers here. She and Jafar have a strained relationship because Nasira cares about Jafar way more than he cares about her.

-Vexen ends up with the Guild of Thieves while working for Xehanort. Nobody gets along. He and Mechanicles drive everyone nuts. Mozenrath absolutely hates everyone on this team and they become a rival to his team for the time being.

-Aziz does…something. Originally, KHDDD wasn’t going to be canon, and Axel was going to be working for Xehanort again, and there would have been an Axel-Aziz alliance. But then I decided KHDDD WAS in fact canon to my story and this alliance went bust.

-I wanted to find a role for those three friends of Aladdin that are given to him by the Broadway production. You know, the ones that sing “High Adventure.”

-Aladdin ends up with the Three Wishes Keyblade granted to him by Sora.

-Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, and Sadira travel with the Mane Six and Sora to Olympic Greece after this to catch up with the Hercules team.

“Sadira, what is the meaning of this?” Jasmine asked to Sadira. “Did I forget to mention that I’m heir to the Ancient Witches of the Sand? Silly me.” Sadira spoke to Jasmine and Hikari. “Maybe Aladdin will prefer a sorceress to a princess.”

“That’s what this is about? Sadira, don’t be a fool. This won’t win Aladdin.” Jasmine said to Sadira. “Oh! Shut up! Aladdin will love me. He has to.” Sadira said. “Sand Beast, take them away...” She said to the Sand Beast.

“Where do you want me to take them?” The Sand Beast asked. “I don’t know! Don’t you have a Pit of a Thousand Screams or something?” Sadira asked. “Jasmine! Hikari!” Aladdin shouted from the tunnel.

Hikari Breaks a Leg (open rp)

Hikari was happily playing in the playground like any other kid. However, one kid challenged her to stand on top of the jungle gym. She felt scared, but did it anyway. She stood on top and cheered. “Hikari did it!”

Suddenly, she slipped and fell to the ground. Snap!

“AHHHHHHHHHHH!!” She screamed at the top of her lungs, holding her leg in pain. “MOMMY!!! DADDY!!!”

Aladdin blinked several times at the book being placed right in front of him. The drawing on the front cover was him! Him flying on Carpet. He hesitantly opened up the hardcover story book, briefly looking at all the colourful pages depicting his life. Or moreso the events that led up to him meeting his fiancé. And it was… unbelievable.

Aladdin was completely engrossed in the picture book, flipping through the pages until he reached the end. He then looked up at him as though his whole world has been turned upside down. “My life isn’t just a…” he struggled to even come up with the right word.

He sighed then. “Alright, if ya want a list o’ names… there was Ayam Aghoul,” he started counting on his fingers, “Jafar obviously, hmm… there was Mirage but she kinda reminds me of Bastet and I don’t think I consider her a sorceress but she still has magic, she calls herself Evil Incarnate. Hmm… there was Mozenrath who’s still a real pain in my ass, and Sadira but I didn’t actually fight her and she’s good now. And…” he thought for a while. “Yeah. That’s it. Well, as far as magic users go. I still had other people who wanted me dead, too,” he shrugged.

If anything was certain, then it was how much Aladdin hated this place. Sure, sometimes some fun could be had when they put him in that weird leather jacket with all the leather straps and way, way oversized sleeves to escape from, but… things were honestly getting boring. There wasn’t much of an obstacle course, well, aside from improvised ones he’d create. And even then, that resulted in a stern talking to.

And speaking of which, what exactly did they want him to say? No one really wanted to hear about his abandonment issues, how he lived close to a decade on the streets, or how he watched children much younger than him die from infection of getting their hands chopped off, wasting away from lack of food, or murdered in alleyways for whatever imagined grievances. No one wanted that, and he didn’t want to talk about it— much less to strangers.

“How ya holdin’ up there, buddy?” Aladdin asked when he approached Jafar in the common room, green apple in hand. He took a seat opposite to him in the only free plastic chair, “had breakfast yet? Gonna love those pills. Yummy yummy,” he rolled his eyes.
