Currently thinking about how much Ford tries to hide his hands a lot when he can…behind his back with this stance. Due to how often he’s been bullied for it.

And also, how Mabel is one of the ones who Ford feels happy about showing his hands to because she thought they were cool looking upon first shaking his hand, instead of him being judged for his six fingers.

I think he grew prone to biting and scratching in order to get by in a harsh world, and to me his resilience is part of what makes him so beautifully himself. I could be kind to him, though. So deep, and what he said was so strong. I'm light but I am black. Just a shade of a color but people judge me and tell me how I should act. It's a shame, I am so mixed in this world where being mulatto I get picked act on both sides. I'm to black or I'm not black enough. Growing up being mix was hard and still is hard for me to identify myself with a origin. But in this society I'm black and trust me I felt it with the barrows of the gun from the police when I was 14. Because there was a shooting and I was running because I was late for my extra credit charity thing to plant trees. Then seen a young light skin black male and I got stop with 4 cops pointing their guns at me and I honestly didn't know what I've done. That was an introduction of being one drop black blood in me. It brings a tear to my face because I haven't talked about that in years.

i love when characters get angry when they're frightened. shelter dog characters. i love when they bite, not able to tell the difference between a hand that feeds and a hand that strikes. there is no difference. a hand is a hand is a fist. i love characters that are deemed unadoptable. unlovable.

and i love when someone loves them. i love when someone sits with them, patient. they don't flinch at the snarling and snapping. they're not trying to fix it—there's nothing to be fixed. this is you, all of you, and ill wait. because one day, one day you'll take the treat. go on, draw my blood. spit and curse and rage. you're safe with me. one day, you'll feel safe with me.

The ease in which Palestinian men are dehumanized. People saw those lineups of halfnaked men and there was relatively no international uproar. Is sexual violence against our men permissible for some reason as long as you write them off as "terrorists"? Humiliation is part of the colonizers' playbook after all. But this is a complex issue of two politically equal entities so don't worry about it.

That last line was sarcasm.

It's so wild to me how they gave vi such beautiful features but we'll probably never hear them be praised on screen bc only femmes are allowed to be admired for being beautiful

Like they really gave her such big pretty eyes, gorgeous heartshaped lips, long lashes, a soft heart shaped face, a pretty voice and I doubt it'll ever be addressed.

Exactly why I'll continue to talk about how beautiful and special she is to me.
