“Incense and Memories” 2023
For my Life from Death oracle deck, these ginkgo leaves float through tumultuous smoke with serenity, symbolizing the endurance of gingko trees. They have survived the extinction of their pollinators, and now grow nearly everywhere they are planted, whether in tropical forests or frozen cities. And you know, survive atomic blasts.

Tobacco is one of the most important Sacred Plants in Abya Yala, and in several cultures, it is used for medicinal and spiritual purposes. Its various forms of use range from Rapé to smoking tobacco, and these forms of use are also related to the four elements:
Rapé: Fire. Rapé is a medicine originating from the indigenous peoples of the Amazon in Brazil. Its preparation involves the use of tree barks, ashes, and powdered tobacco, and it is applied through the respiratory system. Among the qualities of this medicine is its ability to connect us with the present moment, clarify thoughts and emotions, and create greater awareness of our bodies and physical sensations. Shamans also use it to establish direct communication with spiritual dimensions. In terms of its health benefits, Rapé cleanses the respiratory pathways, helps with issues like sinusitis, and balances different chakras based on its components.
Liquid Tobacco: Water. Similar to Rapé, liquid tobacco is inhaled through the nose and has both physical and energetic benefits. It is commonly used to facilitate strong emotional processes within ceremonies like the Temazcal and to strengthen prayers. Its liquid form reminds us of the importance of allowing emotions and thoughts to flow, bringing clarity to the mind, body, and spirit. It is also used to cleanse the body, in many traditions tobacco purges are used to physically cleanse the body by drinking a tobacco tea that induces depuration through vomit or defecation.
Smoking Tobacco: Air. The smoke of tobacco signifies a connection to subtle dimensions and serves as a means of communication with subtle energies. Tobacco smoke is a great ally in energetic cleansings, traditional in regions like the Andes. The union of inhaling and exhaling symbolizes a connection with those who have consumed tobacco, whether in the present, past, or future. This connection reflects that everything expressed through tobacco should be authentic, truthful, and dedicated to the spirits, ancestors, and supernatural forces of the indigenous universe.
Ambil (tobacco paste): Earth. According to the wisdom passed down by the elders, ambil is referred to as the "Companion of thought." It should always be accompanied by mambe, as the latter enriches and strengthens the power of speech and balances the mind. Its character and flavor are more intense, symbolizing the masculine figure, which provides clarity in listening and facilitates the organization of ideas. By engaging in conversations, a favorable reception is promoted on both sides. It also reminds us of the importance of congruence between our emotions, thoughts, and actions. Ambil is applied to the gums and tongue, slowly dissolving alongside mambe. In indigenous communities that continue its use, it is considered a key element in harmonizing and cleansing the space. Ambil gives greater strength to words and, under the indigenous worldview, offers wisdom to communicate spiritual and practical knowledge to the entire community.

Huni Kuin – Cacau Rapé
Theobroma Cacao is the scientific name of the cacao tree, in Brazil cacau. It is native to Amazon basin from where it spread out to other parts of the Americas and from there around the world. The name of the genus comes from greek and means food of the gods. Teobromina is an alkaloid present in cacao and is a vasodilator, diuretic and heart stimulant.
Mainly the Huni Kuin or Kaxinawá, but also other tribes, have used the bark of the tree to burn ashes for their Rapé Snuff. Sometimes the fruit pods are used as well.
This very strong Rapé is blended with ashes from the wild natural cacao from the region. Cacao is a native plant from this part of the Amazon and grows wild by the riverside. This beautiful recipe is from the Huni Kuin tradition, it is usually a reddish colored medicine. This particular one is extra strong, a medicine with less ashes that has an earthy grounding caracter.
Please contact us for your wholesale purchases. We will offer you special prices Rapé
Rapé – is a very sacred shamanic medicine, made by indigenous tribes of South America, primarily found in in Brazil and Peru. Rapé is pronounced ‘haa-pay’ in English. Indigenous Rapé is a rare medicine to come by and very sacred to the tribes of South America. It is used for deep connection to the spirits, animals and Mother Nature, it is very cleansing and powerfully healing.
This sacred medicine takes days to make and is a very labor intensive process made in a ceremonial way, out of various Amazonian healing medicinal plants, leaves, trees and seeds from Amazonian rainforest. Calling in the spirits to help assist those who come to this medicine for deep healing and connection to the source of the creator.
Application
Traditionally, this medicine is applied by using a pipe made from bamboo or bone, which is blown through each nostril on both sides. This can be self-administered using a V-shaped self-applicator pipe, known as a ‘Kuripe’ pipe which connects the mouth to the nostrils. It can also be administered by another person using a large blow pipe, which connects the blower’s mouth to the other person’s nostrils. This blow pipe is known as a ‘Tepi’ pipe.
Suggestion
Use a pea sized amount in each nostril of this medicine for beginners. Dosages can be increased after prolonged use once one becomes more accustom to working with this medicine and has built a relationship to the spirit of the plant and specific rapé.
Please use this medicine in a sacred manner within a quiet space without any interruptions, play relaxing healing music or sit in silence with legs crossed. Call upon your spirit and animal helpers, thank the the tribes , the plants and the spirit of this sacred medicine. Place the pipe over your heart and set an intention and prayer. Apply the medicine in each nostril. Close your eyes after application, breath slowly and calmly then sit and receive the healing benefits of this beautiful medicine throughout your whole being.
Effects
In general, Rapé has the following effects: it deeply helps to reconcile and open all your chakras, improves your grounding, releases any illness on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, opens the third eye, decalcifies the pineal gland, removes any mental confusion, it releases any negative thoughts, removes all negative entities, connects you with your divine breath and enhances your connection with the Spirit.
Please note that after application of Rapé, you may experience cleansing, vomiting, bowel movements and increased saliva, which is a normal reaction when your energy and physical body releases blocked energy, toxins and diseases. It is good to have a bucket, toilet paper and drinking water at hand.
Each Rapé has different vibrations, different properties, carries different information, differs in subtlety and has very different effects on the energy field. In addition, after you build a deeper relationship with each Rapé – She becomes a powerful plant teacher for you to ask any questions or go to any sacred ceremony with a specific purpose.
During the Ayahuasca ceremony, Rapé is commonly used by the Yawanawa, Kaxinawa-Huni Kuin and Katukina (Brazilian tribes) to relieve illnesses, dissolve blocked energies, find visions and look clearly.
Each type of hapé has different qualities, vibrations, subtleties and different effects upon the energetic field.

“Resurrection Fern” ink 2023
Another piece from my Life from Death series. I love ferns. All ferns; all kinds of ferns. I’m not the best at taking care of them, but thankfully they often bounce back after a good soak. Here in the PNW, they even live under sewer grates, dying back in summer and coming back green when the rains return in the fall.

(Shibaura) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_ADBMopOfZ/?igshid=kr5glv7oigf5

Happy Easter Everyone! | Cannabis to see the savior.
Tumblr media
Meet the Savior
I had an radically amazing experience last nite and I feel compelled to tell you all about it. So, here goes. How you ask? A 3-4 hour Cannabis and yoga session. I am maybe a novice at yoga at best, however stretching and learning from this sacred plant was very intense this night. The long and short of this session was that IT WAS THE COOLEST EXPERIENCE.
Preparation
So, I had a little whole plant resin and maybe a puff or 2 of a real nice hybrid flower of some sorts. Definitely high sativa, but non-the-less I digress.  I set my intention before consuming. Before my ceremony, I had cut all the power, lights, radio and so on. Lit a candle or two and spent maybe 3-4 hours rotating thankfulness worship, stretch and yoga and thats when the show began! I let the plant take me, and it released fears, judgments, and my worst habit of self-judgments.
Intention
I don't know many of the names of poses and will NEVER have a man-bun and I am definitely a capitalist and from what i can tell Jesus and Mary are also. So, my intention was pretty broad, I really wanted to find answers, freedom and most of all insight and wisdom. This picture is pretty dang close to what was very clearly the face of Jesus. But, how it started was super interesting.
Tumblr media
Cannabis as a teacher
I think when you set intention before consuming cannabis, that it will allow the user to have a much more profound experience rather than  just getting high. What is "getting high" anyway right? To me, the experience is elevating the user to a higher vibration or dimension while in the elevated state in order to see what is your best-self. Of course we know her as a healer, and she does this with your intention. But, there is much, much more we have yet to discover.
Yoga - Stretching
I know a bit of yoga poses, this ain't my first rodeo, however, by quieting the mind and listening to yourself opens the doors. As I let the plant kinda take control, it made me twist and do things that would not occur to me unless a very beautiful yoga instructor was in charge :) I've gone to some classes, and I pick things up here and there, but cannabis has been the coolest teacher I've met so far. Somehow, intuitively the plant seems to lead the show. Fascinating stuff, you should try this if called.
Poses
Like I said; I don't know the names, but certain poses seem to have "door opening" effects. I am a huge fan of child's pose to start. I look at this as a humble gratitude suggestion offering to the higher-self. Down-ward facing dog and upward facing dog really started the geodesic tunnels and spheres and thats when the crew arrived.
Tumblr media
Geodesic Tunnels & Spheres
Well, if you have had an ayahuasca ceremony this is nothing new, in fact by comparison this much less-intense, however very prevalent and unmistakable. At first, Im questioning, is this really happening? And after I released the judgement the undefinable geodesic tunnels formed into a human head, then morphed as a variety of faces came out and the last defined clearly as Jesus. After this he turned into the sacred mother who clearly waved her hand in the blessing. Then forms dissolved back into the tunnels, which seemed to change color and came with lots of variety.
Expectations
I definitely had no expectations other than stress relief, a good workout, and to find answers, but thats pretty normal for me. These next-level visuals was a definite surprise filled with enchantment and comfort. Those who grew up in Sunday school and church may have missed the connection between the stories and reality. To find this connection is nothing short of a soothing tie between the two, and was absolutely awesome!  Seeing is believing, and its just that, a connection behind the myths, stories and speculation. What traditional church goers may visually miss was portrayed in the art, but when you have an encounter it can be a very profound experience.   I hope you enjoyed my experience, and if your consuming cannabis, give yoga-stretching a whirl. The plant known as the Blue lotus is a water lily native to fresh waters in eastern Africa and parts of Arabia and Asia. Since ancient times it has been used medicinally and considered sacred by multiple peoples including the Ancient Egyptians, Buddhists and Hindus. The plant contains two compounds in the flower — apomorphine and nuciferine, which make it psychoactive, inducing a calming affect when consumed. For thousands of years this plant has been used in traditional healing and spiritual ceremonies. I flame sculpted this blue lotus flower and lily pad with borosilicate glass and used resin on a mirror to create the water ripple effects for the base. This piece will be available on my website after the inventory update tomorrow. 🪷✨ . . . . #bluelotus #glasssculpture #borosilicateglass #flameworkedglass #waterlily #glassart #glasslife #shopupdate #sacredplants #plantwitch #glassflowers #sculptureartist #artforyourhome #lotusflower https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch2Qd7hOeIJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
